Not So Quick: House Committee Revives Criminal Referral for Joe Biden’s Brother

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., has urged the incoming attorney general to hold James Biden, President Joe Biden’s brother, accountable for his alleged role in the Biden family’s “influence peddling schemes.” 

In a letter on Thursday, Comer asked Pam Bondi, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the DOJ, to act on criminal referrals accusing James Biden of “lying to Congress” about Biden’s “involvement” in the schemes that enriched their family. 

Comer said that while Hunter Biden has been pardoned for his offenses related to the schemes, James Biden was a key participant in selling access to the now-president for large sums of money. 

In June 2024, Comer submitted criminal referrals to the DOJ recommending charges against both Hunter and James. For instance, James previously told lawmakers that Biden never met with Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of James and Hunter. However, Bobulinski later came forward with evidence proving he met with Biden on May 2, 2017.

Comer added in the letter, “Though President Biden’s saccharine (and wholly ironic) rantings of political persecution and weaponized prosecution of Hunter Biden are specious, they are inapplicable to the non-prosecution of his brother, James Biden, who has lied to the United States Congress and has faced no accountability to date.” 

He continued, “I write to encourage the Department under your leadership to hold James Biden accountable for lying to Congress to protect his brother, the soon-to-be-former President Biden. No one should be above the law, regardless of his last name.”

Last year, Biden issued the broadest presidential pardon in history to Hunter, exonerating him for potential offenses committed in more than 11 years. Notably, Biden is the only president in U.S. history to use his office to shield his son from accountability in two criminal proceedings initiated by his own DOJ.  

Central to the pardon is the facts that Biden received millions of dollars in exchange for offering access to his father, who served as a U.S. senator and later as vice president in the Obama administration. 

Biden initially claimed ignorance of these schemes, affirming he never discussed business matters with his son. However, evidence from Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop revealed that Biden met with several of Hunter’s business associates. 

Hunter himself admitted that 10 percent of the received payments would go to the “Big Guy,” later identified as Biden himself.  

Biden later claimed that his son’s actions did not constitute criminal offenses. Yet, his own DOJ refuted this narrative by pursuing criminal charges against Hunter. 

Biden also insisted he trusted the judicial system and maintained his son’s innocence. Despite this, the president used his authority to erase these offenses, conveniently issuing a pardon after the 2024 presidential election.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The outgoing Biden administration held several farewell events to honor some of the cabinet officials who oversaw four years of economic turmoil, judicial weaponization and global conflicts. 

The events, characterized by their funeral-like atmosphere, drew mounting mockery and criticism on social media platforms. 

Among the officials applauded as they departed their respective agencies were Attorney General Merrick Garland, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.  

However, not everyone was celebratory as many prominent critics pointed out various mishaps committed by these officials on social media.

“At least Lloyd Austin let everyone know that he was leaving this time,” wrote political commentator Gunther Eagleman, referencing Austin’s disappearance for several weeks last year. “Good fcking riddance. I can’t wait for Pete Hegseth to take the helm.” 

Comedian Tim Young joked that he was “shocked” Austin “wasn’t wearing a mask and face shield,” alluding to the protective gear that became a signature for Austin during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Retired General Michael Flynn scolded Austin, writing, “He leaves our military woke,with zero winning attitude and without any real successes to show. In fact the number of massive failures are historic, starting with Afghanistan. Go ahead and clap now but get ready to be ready.”

Garland also became a target for criticism. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., celebrated Garland’s exit as attorney general, condemning the DOJ for targeting parents, Catholics and Republicans. “This disgraceful era of brazen political lawfare is FINALLY OVER,” Donalds wrote. 

Journalist Eric Daugherty reacted to the video of Garland exiting the DOJ, writing: “I am seeking UNANIMOUS CONSENT for one simple proposal at the Department of Justice. Fire everyone who clapped for Merrick Garland immediately and instantly on Day One.” 

Yellen and her supporters also faced backlash, with journalist Nick Sortor commenting, “All these clapping seals should be sacked the day Trump’s Treasury Secretary takes office.”

Commentator Paul A. Szypula joined the chorus of criticism, stating, “Treasury Secretary Yellen cratered our economy with inflation. All three are traitors who deserve to be jailed.”

Speaker Johnson Exposes Alarming Moment Biden Forgot His Own Executive Order

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., came forward with a disturbing story about President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline during a private meeting in 2023. Johnson said Biden did not remember signing an executive order. 

In a Saturday interview with The Free Press, Johnson said Biden seemed unaware he had signed an executive order pausing the exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This incident left Johnson feeling that the nation was in grave danger. 

“Sir, why did you pause LNG exports?’ I don’t understand; liquefied natural gas is in great demand by our allies. Why would you do that?” Johnson recalled asking in the private meeting with Biden.  

Seemingly shocked, Biden looked at Johnson and denied ever banning LNG. This prompted Johnson to remind the outgoing president of the event. 

“He looked at me, stunned and he said, ‘I didn’t do that.’ And I said, ‘Mr. President, yes you did. It was an executive order, like three weeks ago.’ He goes, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and he’s arguing with me,” Johnson added. 

On Jan. 26, 2024, Biden signed an order temporarily pausing pending decisions on LNG exports to countries not part of free trade agreements with the U.S. A federal judge later put the order on hold after 16 GOP-led states argued Biden’s order would harm their economies. 

Concerned by Biden’s response, Johnson suggested asking a White House aide to print the executive order so they could review it together. Only then did Biden seem to understand what Johnson’s comments referred to. 

“He goes, ‘Oh, you’re talking about natural gas.’ Yes, sir. He said, ‘No. No, you misunderstanding this. What I did was I signed this thing to, we’re going to conduct a study on the effects of LNG,” Johnson recounted. 

During the interview, Johnson said he realized Biden was genuinely out of the loop with his own executive order. 

Johnson continued, “It occurred to me, he was not lying to me. He genuinely did not know what he had signed. And I walked out of that meeting with fear and loathing because I thought, we’re in serious trouble. Who is running the country? Like, I don’t know who put the paper in front of him, but he didn’t know.”

Fake News Defeat: CBS May Pay Trump Millions for Altered Kamala Interview

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President-elect Donald Trump has become the leftist media’s worst nightmare, filing several successful lawsuits to hold them accountable for their un-American conduct. This time, CBS News may be forced to pay Trump millions of dollars in an election-meddling lawsuit filed.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that executives at CBS News’s parent company, Paramount, are weighing whether to settle the federal lawsuit tied to an edited version of a 60 Minutes interview with outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Paramount Global is allegedly concerned that the Trump administration may block its planned merger with Skydance Media, where the Federal Communications Commission has jurisdiction.

The merger involves the transfer of broadcast TV licenses controlled by CBS-owned stations, The Journal reported. Incoming FCC Chairman Brendan Carr suggested that accusations of bias against CBS News would be considered as the merger request is reviewed.

Trump sued CBS after 60 Minutes edited remarks by Harris about the Israeli-Hamas war in the Middle East.

The aired version of the interview showed Harris giving a succinct answer to whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was listening to the Biden administration’s demands. In contrast, Harris’s actual answer was a word salad that exposed her incoherence, with sentences that circled each other.

“The work we have done has resulted in a number of movements in the region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,” Harris answered in the actual interview.

However, 60 Minutes aired Harris claiming, “We’re not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

The interview aired in October 2024, mere weeks before the November election. Trump affirmed that the edited interview constituted an act of election interference as it favored the Harris campaign.

While Paramount has not yet reached out to Trump about settling the lawsuit, such an outcome would not be unprecedented. ABC News settled a multi-million-dollar lawsuit filed by Trump after anchor George Stephanopoulos falsely accused Trump of rape.

In another high-profile case, CNN also settled a $1 billion lawsuit with U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young, after the network falsely accused him of exploiting vulnerable Afghans in evacuation missions. CNN was found liable for defamation and ordered to pay $5 million in compensation damages.

Return of the Pussy Hat: Leftist Protesters March on DC Before Trump Inauguration

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Two days before President-elect Donald Trump’s second inauguration, leftist protesters donned their pink pussy hats and marched on Washington, D.C.

The protesters, most of which were women, paraded Saturday in a “People’s March” — previously called the “Women’s March.” They showed up in much smaller numbers than the 500,000-person demonstration ahead of Trump’s 2017 swearing-in, Reuters and NBC News noted.

Chants of “We will not go back!” erupted among slow-walking, listless leftists, footage posted on social media shows. Pops of color from their vibrant pink hats appeared to be the greatest sign of life among those who marched the streets.

Some signs read, “Equal rights for all,” while others touched on topics like climate change and defense of democracy, according to video shared on X. One man hauled around a bright yellow poster claiming Trump, whose mugshot was included, does not belong in the White House.

“Hey hey. Ho ho. Donald Trump has got to go,” the protesters repeated before switching it up to drone out, “Hey hey. Ho ho. Elon Musk has got to go.”

Police cars with sirens on patrolled the area as hundreds of protesters made their way from parks to the Lincoln Memorial, Reuters reported. Social media users suspected a Democrat non-government organization (NGO) could have funded the anti-Trump demonstration.

Several leftist activist groups orchestrated the “People’s March” including Planned Parenthood, the National Women’s Law Center, Abortion Access Now and the Women’s March, according to FOX 5 DC.

“It’s really healing to be here with all of you today in solidarity and togetherness, in the face of what’s going to be some really horrible extremism,” Mini Timmaraju, the leader of leftist organization Reproductive Freedom for All, told protesters as their festivities began.

The event was rebranded as the “People’s March” to account for the Democrat Party’s embrace of transgender ideology — they could never bring themselves to use the words “Women’s March” today.

Vendors profited from the protest by selling buttons that said “#MeToo” and “Love trumps hate,” according to Reuters. They also sold “People’s March” flags for $10.

Trump’s inauguration is set to take place indoors on Monday starting at 12 p.m.

Bill Maher Blasts California for Picking the ‘Best Lesbian’ Amid Raging Fires

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Comedian Bill Maher blasted on Friday the Los Angeles Fire Department for picking the “best lesbian” to lead the department, which struggled to combat California’s wildfires as they burned through homes, some with empty fire hydrants.

Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, the first female and lesbian to head the department, faced blowback for being a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) hire who was unfit for the job. Crowley, hired in March 2022, proved her incompetence as she failed to contain California’s fire crisis.

“Look me in the eye and tell me anyone could have done worse. We just got our a** kicked by fire, something Neanderthals fought to a tie,” Maher said, sarcastically adding, “The good news is, our fire chief is a lesbian.”

Maher flashed an image of Crowley on screen, prompting howling laughter from his Real Time audience.

“Am I against a lesbian being chief? Of course not. Do I think a lesbian can do the job? Of course I do. And maybe she’s the best person for the job. Or maybe they really wanted a lesbian in that job, and she’s just the best lesbian for the job,” Maher speculated.

To highlight the danger of DEI hiring practices, Maher added, “with essential services, that’s not good enough.”

Crowley’s official bio reads as follows: “Chief Crowley leads a diverse department… Creating, supporting, and promoting a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and equity while striving to meet and exceed the expectations of the communities….”

“Well, you didn’t exceed my expectations, which was that the whole city wouldn’t burn down,” Maher remarked.

The liberal comedian found it “telling” that Crowley’s bio mentioned “diversity” twice before saying “while striving to meet and exceed expectations.”

“Now, can you do two things at once? Yes. But it matters where your head is,” he said.

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) As Barack and Michelle Obama faced rumors that their marriage is heading for divorce, the DailyMail resurfaced a “baseless” story that the former president had an affair with Friends star Jennifer Aniston.

Michelle Obama opted not to attend former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral with her husband on Jan. 9, instead staying in Hawaii for a vacation. Her office announced she would not join Obama for Monday’s inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, further stoking speculation that the Obamas are bound to split.

Ainston previously appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to deny the reemerging rumors of a romance with Obama, telling the host, “there is no truth” about “Jen and Barack.”

“Of all the calls you get from your publicist where you’re just like, ‘Oh no, what’s it gonna be,’ or the emails saying, you know, some cheesy tabloid is gonna make up a story, and then it’s that. I was not mad at it,” Ainston said. “It is untrue.”

On Friday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the host and her guest, DailyMail columnist Maureen Callahan, discussed the “crazy” story and Obama’s “gay fantasies.”

Callahan said the Obama-Ainston affair story would be “amazing” if true, promoting her to ask Megyn Kelly, “Who would you pick for Barack for wife number two?”

“I would pick a man,” Kelly said, and the two erupted with laughter.

Callahan brought up a 2017 bombshell book by David J. Garrow, “Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama,” which claimed Obama considered pursuing a homosexual relationship with his gay assistant professor Lawrence Goldyn.

In winter of 1980, Obama took a political science course taught by the openly gay Goldyn at Occidental, the DailyMail reported on the book’s claims. Obama developed a “friendship beyond the classroom” with the bright yellow pants-wearing, open-toed sandal-sporting professor, who was said to have great “comfort in his own skin.”

The biographer wrote that three years later, according to the outlet, that “Obama wrote somewhat elusively to his first intimate girlfriend that he had thought about and considered gayness but ultimately decided that a same-sex relationship would be less challenging and demanding than developing one with the opposite sex.”

Kelly told Callahan of the Obamas’s marriage, “I don’t know whether there’s trouble in paradise or if she just being her normal, miserable self. She always has an unenthusiastic, the only thing she gets enthusiastic about is how much she hates Trump and our country.”

She added that “love for Barack doesn’t seem to be on the list” of things Michelle Obama loves.

CNN Banishes TDS-Afflicted Jim Acosta to Time-Slot ‘Siberia’

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) CNN is reportedly poised to banish Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) sufferer Jim Acosta to host his show from midnight to 2 a.m.

CNN chief Mark Thompson reportedly called Acosta, who currently hosts the network’s high-rated 10 a.m. hour, to propose the rabid Trump critic move his coverage to a time rarely watched by viewers, according to ex-CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy’s Status newsletter on Thursday.

“The move would effectively exile Acosta to the Siberia of television news,” Darcy wrote, adding that most of the U.S. would be “fast asleep” as Acosta would host his show.

Acosta was caught “off guard,” Darcy said of the Trump-bashing leftist, who “had no reason to believe that his current show would be on the chopping block.”

CNN’s looming shakeup comes as the network’s boss seeks to reform CNN’s “entire daytime lineup,” Darcy noted. The former CNN reporter mentioned anchor Wolf Blitzer’s shift from evenings to mornings as one of the most notable changes afoot as Trump takes office for his second term.

Blitzer will reportedly no longer host his show The Situation Room weekdays at 6 p.m., sources told the Status newsletter. Blitzer and CNN’s Pamela Brown will host in the morning.

“Since Blitzer will now host an additional hour of television with Pamela Brown, Thompson needs to find 60 minutes in the morning lineup to saw off for the new anchoring duo,” Darcy wrote.

The ex-CNN reporter added, “Relocating Acosta to the wee hours of the morning would conveniently do just that.”

On Thursday’s edition of Acosta’s show, the same day news of his incoming “exile” to midnight broke, Acosta whined about the rise of independent journalism on social media and other digital platforms, referencing President Joe Biden’s comments that the “free press is crumbling” in the U.S.

“I would add that this is only if we, the people, let that happen,” Acosta said, characterizing himself as a truth-teller despite years of anti-Trump activism on CNN.

Acosta held up an eight-year-old pink sign from a woman named Nora, which read “I March for Jim Acosta and a FREE PRESS.”

“She wrote on the back of the sign, to me and the press here in D.C., ‘You have our support,’” Acosta said somberly. “To Nora, wherever you are, right back at you.”

Is Trump’s Indoor Inauguration a Response to Threats on His Life?

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday that his inauguration would be held indoors due to cold weather — but concerned Americans feared there were greater threats afoot.

Following a campaign rocked by two assassination attempts against Trump, social media users suggested that a threat to the president-elect’s life could have caused the abrupt inauguration venue shift.

“Why is Trump moving his inauguration ceremony indoors? They don’t cancel the Macy’s Day Parade or football games when it’s cold. Is it to keep people safe from the weather, or just to keep people safe? Either way, I’m glad people WILL be safe,” political commentator Glenn Beck wrote on X.

Podcaster Dan Bongino, a former U.S. Secret Service agent, recently warned that the Secret Service and the FBI could leave Trump “exposed” at the inauguration. Former West Virginia state lawmaker Derrick Evans added that “something shady” is going on with Trump’s swearing-in ceremony and said he’s “not buying” that it was moved inside due to cold weather.

Popular conservative account @EndWokeness said, “Extremely mixed on moving the inauguration indoors: 1) It significantly reduces the risk of someone trying to take out Trump 2) It robs everyone of that iconic visual.”

Many worried Trump supporters signified their support for the indoor ceremony if it would keep Trump safe. Fox News contributor Leo Terrell wrote, “Personally, I am glad the inauguration is indoors! I am concerned about President Trump’s safety 24/7 365.”

“Something’s going on, guys. And it’s not ‘the weather,’” X user @Pro_Trading speculated after suggesting less people would be allowed in the Capitol Rotunda to watch Trump take the oath of office.

X user @Jules31415 asked, “Why do Democrats seem so upset that Trump’s inauguration got moved indoors?”

Political strategist Joey Mannarino breathed a sigh of relief at Trump’s indoor inauguration, which he called a “good thing” because he “didn’t like the idea of Trump being out there for the entire world to attempt to assassinate again.”

Megyn Kelly Reveals Her Special Role in Trump’s Inauguration

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly revealed she will have a special role in President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities on Friday’s episode of her podcast.

Trump invited Kelly to speak at his victory rally Sunday at the Capital One Arena, the conservative commentator told her audience. She said it was an “honor” and asked her listeners what they would like to hear her talk about.

“On Sunday, I’ll be joining President-elect Trump, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, Elon Musk and more speaking at the president’s final rally,” Kelly said. “It’s his pre-inauguration rally. He loves the rallies. He doesn’t have to have a rally, he won! But he loves interacting with his voters and his fans and the American people.”

The radio host will make a special episode of The Megyn Kelly Show following her attendance at Trump’s inauguration, which will air on Monday at 6 p.m. EST on SiriusXM’s Triumph station before its release on her YouTube channel and podcast platforms.

“I want to bring you guys all a special announcement. As you may know, we’re going to be doing our show from Washington, D.C. on Monday, and that’s because I am going to be going to the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump as the 47th president of the United States,” she said.

Kelly added that she was bringing her whole family to the inauguration and that she “can’t wait” to attend.

Kelly celebrated the invitation to appear at Trump’s rally as “an opportunity to take the message to some people who don’t always hear us talk” because major news outlets, including her former employers at Fox News and NBC News, would “have to” air speeches from the event.

Trump announced on Friday that his swearing-in ceremony would be moved indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to forecasts of frigid weather.

“There is an arctic blast sweeping the country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “I don’t want to see people hurt, or injured, in any way.”

Kelly rejoiced at Trump’s winter weather adjustment, saying she is “such a wuss in the cold” due to the Raynaud’s syndrome in her fingertips.

Kelly’s guest, DailyMail columnist Maureen Callahan, said Trump’s decision set the tone for his “common sense” second administration.

“People just want common sense to rule the day,” Callahan said, and Kelly added, “That’s a good point.”

“Being outside for six hours in 10-degree weather, people with their young children, you know, you’re just asking for negative things to happen. Bad things to happen,” Kelly said.
