(José Niño, Headline USA) Retired Gen. Jack Keane’s recent trip to Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon has drawn attention after a viral X post noted the Fox News analyst’s access to senior Israeli leaders.
“Fox News’ Gen. Jack Keane tells Mark Levin he went on a hasbara trip to Israel to meet with their “top civilian and military leaders”—including Netanyahu and the “current” and “former” heads of the Mossad.
“Fox News pundits are literally coached by the Israeli government,” journalist Chris Menahan tweeted.

The post refers to Keane’s interview with Mark Levin, where he described an 11-day visit across Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon.
In the Fox segment, Keane said his trip included meetings with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, senior Israel Defense Forces officers, the current Mossad chief, and a former Mossad chief. Fox’s own description says Keane discussed his visits to Israel and Gaza as well as his meetings with Israeli political and military leaders.
“Yeah, sure. Yeah, thanks for the opportunity. I spent a considerable amount of time in meeting with the top civilian and military leaders, the president of the country, the prime minister, the top military commanders, the Mossad chief currently and the former one.”
Keane said he also traveled to Gaza and Lebanon to assess conditions with officers operating on the ground.
“And, and certainly, as you mentioned, I, I, I had to get out to see Gaza with the field commanders and, you know, and assess that situation and also, uh, in Lebanon.”
Following the trip, Keane described the United States and Israel as unusually close military partners. He praised cooperation between U.S. Central Command and the Israel Defense Forces in confronting Iran and groups aligned with Tehran.
“My, my takeaways are, number one, is the IDF and CENTCOM, Israel and the United States working together, dealing with this challenge with Iran and its proxies. This is the best cooperation, collaboration we have had in some time, uh, with an ally.”
Keane added that Israel has the military capacity and combat experience that Americans have historically expected from only their closest allies.
“And you have to go all the way back to World War II to find an ally that is capable and proven in combat as the United States military. The IDF is all of that.”
During the interview, he also discussed viewing footage of Hamas’s October 7 attack and made a broad claim about the population of Gaza and its connection to Hamas.
“The Gazan people, if you ask the CIA, who are they? They will tell you in relation to Hamas, they’re either Hamas fighters or they’re supporting Ha-Hamas fighters.”
