GRAPHIC: Man Attempts Self-Immolation During Protests Outside White House

Warning: This article features graphic footage that some readers may find upsetting.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A man attempted to self-immolate near the White House on Saturday afternoon, as shown in several videos shared on X.

The incident occurred amid pro-Palestinian protests marking the first anniversary of the Oct. 7 massacre.

One video captured the unnamed man igniting his arm before shouting incoherently.

Another clip, shared by Washington Free Beacon reporter Jessica Costescu, showed the fire’s aftermath.

Individuals rushed to extinguish the flames by throwing water on the man’s arm. A woman tossed her keffiyeh to stop the man’s arm from burning, while he appeared to scream in pain.

The man reportedly identified himself as a journalist and expressed grievances about what he claimed was  “misinformation.”

Law enforcement officials were also present and quickly moved to assist the man while dispelling civilians who tried to provide aid.

“Back it up, back it up,” a police captain shouted, pushing bystanders to step aside.

Costescu reported that the man was subsequently taken into custody.

Headline USA attempted to reach the Metropolitan Police Department for comment on Saturday evening but was unsuccessful.

At least three other individuals have self-immolated in recent months.

In February, Aaron Bushnell, a former active member of the U.S. Airforce, fatally set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.

On Sept. 11, pro-Palestinian activist Matt Nelson lit himself on fire outside an Israeli consulate in Boston, Massachusetts, to protest Israeli military operations aimed at rescuing hostages taken by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.

In April, Maxwell Azzarrello self-immolated outside the Manhattan courthouse amid the jury selection for the criminal case against former President Donald Trump. His motives appeared to be related to his anti-government sentiments.

Unstoppable Trump Dominates Butler Rally After Assassination Attempt: ‘We Will Fight’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Donald Trump returned to Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon, taking the stage where he had narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on July 13. A defiant Trump delivered a clear message to his supporters: “We Will Fight!”

The rally took place in the same place where would-be assassin Thomas Crooks fired several shots targeting Trump. Crooks’s bullets grazed the former president’s right ear and killed former fire chief Corey Comperatore.

Nearly three months later, Trump was met with approving chants and applause from what is believed to be 100,000 supporters, including high-profile personalities, like tech mogul Elon Musk, his sons and running mate, Sen. JD Vance.

“For the sake of our families [and] for the sake of our children, we will keep on going and as the expression goes… Fight! Fight Fight! We’re going to fight for our country,” Trump said, drawing applause from the crowd.

Comperatore’s widow, Helen, and his daughters, Allyson and Kaylee, attended the rally to pay tribute to their husband and father.

“We decided this was something we needed to do. We needed to go and honor Corey. He would have done it for me,” Helen said during an interview with The New York Times.

The Trump campaign left a special place in the bleachers for Comperatore, in the same spot where he was killed while shielding his family from the flying bullets.

Vance highlighted the resilience of Trump and his supporters in a heartfelt speech. ″You heard the shots, you saw the blood. We all feared the worst, but you knew everything would be okay when President Trump raised his fist,” he recalled.

During his speech, Trump asked Musk to join him on the stage, where he praised the Tesla owner for his commitment to protecting free speech on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Once on stage, Musk delivered what many have described as an electrifying speech. “If people don’t know what’s going on, if they don’t know the truth, how can you make an informed vote? You must have free speech in order to have democracy,” Musk declared to the crowd.

Musk echoed Trump’s now-famous rallying cry from July 13, the day of the assassination attempt, when the Secret Service rushed Trump off stage: “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Biden Uses Remaining Power, Hides Hunter’s Corruption Until After Election

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Joe Biden decided to use his remaining months in the White House to hide the corruption of his son, Hunter Biden, until after the 2024 election.

The National Pulse reported that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) decided to delay the release of documents related to Joe and Hunter’s corruption during Barack Obama’s presidential years for the next 30 days, which means that Americans would not be able to view the documents until November 6, which is a day right after the 2024 election.

According to the news source, some of the NARA records could expose the Biden family even more, specifically Hunter’s foreign business dealings and how they helped the Biden family to become rich.

“Biden, Obama and NARA are concealing these potentially explosive records until the day after the 2024 election, November 6, 2024,” the conservative litigation group America First Legal reported.

AFL then wrote that it tried to obtain some records through the Freedom of Information Act (FIOA) in August 2022, but NARA refused to comply. One month later, after receiving the response, AFL filed a lawsuit against NARA to obtain the records.

“Now, just a month before the 2024 Presidential election, President Biden’s lawyers and President Obama’s legal representatives are delaying the release of documents that include email messages with James Biden…, Lion Hall…, and [Hunter’s firm] Rosemont Seneca,’ about ‘photographs from a White House visit of Vice President Biden with James Biden [and] preparation of Vice President and Biden’s final tax forms and financial disclosures for the year 2015,'” AFL wrote in its report.

The recent news came after Axios, of all news sources, noted that Biden had disappeared from the public eye. Axios reported that Biden held no public events in 43 of 75 days after leaving the presidential race.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that Biden was almost entirely replaced by either the current Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, or Biden’s wife, Jill.

ABC Axes 75 Employees Weeks after Biased Presidential Debate

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) ABC News was forced to lay off 75 of its employees just weeks after it hosted a biased presidential debate between Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

“As you know, this has been happening across the broader company and the industry at large in recent weeks and months,” ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic wrote in the memo obtained by the Hollywood Reporter. “For us, it means shaping a team that embraces the new media landscape and evolves along with it, which we must do to continue serving our viewers.”

Karamehmedovic continued spewing the PR-, HR- and legal-friendly communist gobbledygook in the memo.

“As we look to the future and [refine] a team that is not only capable of excellence in reporting and delivering the highest quality content but is also streamlined and sustainable, we must occasionally make some tough decisions,” he added. “Unfortunately, today is one of those days.”

ABC stations chief Chad Matthews also wrote many words without writing anything of substance.

The news came after Trump won the last presidential debate, even though it was revealed that the network was extremely biased toward Trump. Headline USA reported that ABC News coverage of Harris was 100% positive, and coverage of Trump was 93% negative.

In addition to the debate taking place in far-left Philadelphia, a whistleblower revealed that ABC News colluded with the Harris campaign to make it as easy as possible for her during the debate.

“It was agreed that Donald Trump would be subjected to fact-checking during the debate, while Kamala Harris would not face comparable scrutiny,” the whistleblower wrote in the affidavit.

After the debate happened, Trump suggested pulling ABC’s license.

“ABC took a big hit last night,” he said. “They ought to take away their license for the way they did that.”

The network faced other consequences after the debate, like the U.S. Senate investigating ABC’s collusion. In addition, David Muir, one of the debate’s moderators, realized that nobody wanted to watch a show with him since he was so biased toward Harris and against Trump, which he didn’t like, claiming that the proven collusion was a hoax.

Trump Promises to Deport Springfield Haitians from Country

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump recently said that he would deport Haitian immigrants from the United States who made the small town of Springfield, Ohio, infamous after it was revealed that they are eating pets and wild animals.

“It has nothing to do with Haiti or anything else. You have to remove the people, and you have to bring them back to their own country,” Trump told News Nation. “Springfield is such a beautiful place. Have you seen what’s happened to it? It’s been overrun. You can’t do that to people. I’d revoke [the protected status], and I’d bring [the immigrants] back to their country.”

Trump’s comments came after the immigrants from Haiti made the town infamous by eating pets of Americans who were living there, as Headline USA previously reported, citing multiple Springfield residents and journalists who captured Haitians eating or carrying dead animals.

“They’re in the park grabbing up ducks by their neck and cutting their head off and walking off with them and eating them,” one person said. “Who is getting paid? Like, how much money is y’all really getting paid? Like, to bring them over here, like I know it’s deeper than them.”

After the disturbing news was revealed, the Haitian president denied that people from his country were eating pets. However, Headline USA also wrote that not only are Haitians eating dogs and cats, but they are also eating cat food.

“If the food is intended for cats, and you’re not a cat, it’s obvious that you shouldn’t eat it,” Haitian Health Minister Dr. Lauré Adrien told Haitians. “No matter how good or beneficial cat food may seem for you, I’m sure you’re sensible enough not to eat cat food.”

After Haitians moved into the town, they also started committing crimes, which resulted in crimes skyrocketing and innocent people, including children, dying.

As a result, Gov. Mike DeWine, R–Ohio, sent the Ohio State Highway Patrol and $2.5 million to the community to solve this problem. However, it was previously reported that DeWine welcomed immigrants from Haiti, which resulted in people from Ohio asking a former Republican presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, to consider running for governor in the state.

“I’m gonna make some decisions shortly after the election,” Ramaswamy said. “But [what] I will say is, we see some of the events, when I visited Springfield, people in the state pleading with me to do it—I have to take that pretty seriously.”

Sleepy Joe a No-Show for Harris Campaign

(Headline USA) On the last day of August, Joe Biden was asked about his fall campaign plans. He promised a Labor Day appearance in Pittsburgh and said he would be “on the road from there on.”

Biden did campaign with Harris on Labor Day, but he has been a campaign no-show since.

Beyond his lack of stamina, sometimes his official events push hers to the background.

After Hurricane Helene, Harris scrapped campaign events in Las Vegas to hurry back to Washington for a briefing at the Federal Emergency Management Agency. But as Harris stepped to a podium in the command center, Biden was delivering his own storm response comments from the Oval Office, pulling the political spotlight away from his intended successor.

The lack of presidential campaigning and occasional schedule clashes could matter not just for Harris but as Democrats try to hold control of the Senate and retake the House and compete in races further down the ballot.

Even Barack Obama announced he will campaign for Harris.

Obama will appear in Pittsburgh on Thursday and plans to spend the remaining time before the Nov. 5 election traveling to battleground states.

He also recorded ads promoting Democratic Senate candidates in Michigan, Maryland and Florida.

Report: ‘High Risk Noncitizens’ Without IDs Flying Across U.S.

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) Twenty-three years after Islamic terrorists used airplanes to conduct the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil, the federal agency created to protect Americans from national security threats “cannot ensure they are keeping high-risk noncitizens without identification from entering the country.”

The potentially high-risk noncitizens are being flown on domestic flights without identification, creating a public safety risk, according to the latest Office of Inspector General report assessing several federal agencies within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The OIG has repeatedly published reports identifying potential national security risks created by Biden-Harris policies identified within DHS and its subagencies.

In the latest redacted report that has “sensitive security information,” the OIG expressed concerns about Americans’ public safety to the administrators of the Transportation Security Administration, US Customs and Border Protection, and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The report states the agencies didn’t assess risks to public safety by releasing non-citizens into the United States without identification and putting them on domestic flights.

The OIG requested data on the number of noncitizens without identification who were released into the United States from fiscal years 2021 through 2023. “Because immigration officers are not required to document whether a noncitizen presented identification in the databases,” the data the OIG obtained “may be incomplete.”

“Therefore, neither CBP nor ICE could determine how many of the millions of noncitizens seeking entry in the United States each year entered without identification and whose self-reported biographic information was accepted,” the report states. CBP and ICE officers interviewed by the OIG “acknowledged the risks of allowing noncitizens without identification into the country, yet neither CBP nor ICE conducted a comprehensive risk assessment for these noncitizens to assess the level of risk these individuals present and developed corresponding mitigation measures,” the report states.

One of the primary responsibilities of CBP and ICE is to verify noncitizens’ identities prior to seeking entry; TSA is responsible for screening everyone who boards domestic flights. The OIG audited them to determine to what extent CBP and ICE policies and procedures confirmed individual’s identities “for the documents TSA accepts for domestic travel and whether TSA ensures noncitizens traveling on domestic flights provide proof of identification consistent with all other domestic travelers.”

As Border Patrol officials have explained, the majority of illegal border crossers are not vetted and released with DHS papers. The OIG confirms this, stating CBP and ICE officers accept “self-reported biographical information, which they use to issue various immigration forms. Once in the United States, noncitizens can travel on domestic flights.”

The OIG also notes that noncitizens do not have TSA-acceptable identification but “are allowed to board domestic flights.” TSA requires them “to undergo vetting and additional screening,” which involves running their information through systems to validate information on DHS–issued immigration forms and conducting additional screening procedures like pat downs.

“TSA’s vetting and screening procedures do not eliminate the risk that noncitizens who may pose a threat to fellow passengers could board domestic flights,” the OIG report says.

It gets worse, the OIG says.

“Under current processes, CBP and ICE cannot ensure they are keeping high-risk noncitizens without identification from entering the country. Additionally, TSA cannot ensure its vetting and screening procedures prevent high-risk noncitizens who may pose a threat to the flying public from boarding domestic flights.”

The 37-page redacted report details the procedures that must be followed according to federal law and notes in bold: “CBP and ICE have policies and procedures for screening noncitizens, but neither component knows how many noncitizens without identification documents are released into the country.”

Security issues also exist with the CBP One app, which has been used to fast track over 813,000 inadmissible illegal foreign nationals into the country, The Center Square reported.

These issues are redacted. “Because of CBP’s and ICE’s process for inspecting and releasing noncitizens, TSA’s methods to screen for individuals who pose a threat would not necessarily prevent these individuals from boarding flights,” the OIG warns.

It also points out that it has released previous reports where its office “documented similar weaknesses in CBP’s screening processes that allowed high-risk individuals into the country,” including those on the terrorist watchlist.

It concludes, “If CBP and ICE continue to allow noncitizens – whose identities immigration officers cannot confirm – to enter the country, they may inadvertently increase national security risks.”

The agencies did not concur with the OIG’s findings. In response, the OIG, as prescribed by a DHS directive, gave them 90 days to respond and provide corrective action that would be taken as well as a target completion date for each recommendation.

Experts Warn of Oct. 21 Bird Flu ‘Summit’ that Resembles Pre-COVID Event 201

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently revealed that bureaucrats in New York City planned a bird flu “summit” at the end of October.

This event resembles a pre-COVID-19 Event 201 and could become a new October surprise.

“BREAKING – Full-Scale H5N1 Bird Flu exercise planned for Oct 21st in New York City. The International Bird Flu Summit in Washington, D.C., reveals the planned exercise will include 2 NYC hospitals and multiple agencies to “test H5N1 related protocols.” We’ve previously learned that the Biopharmaceutical Complex likes to hold ‘drills’ before the real event,” McCullough Foundation wrote on Twitter.

In its exclusive report, the Defender reported that Gingko Biosecurity sponsored the summit. On its website, Gingko Biosecurity stated that it is “building and deploying the next-generation infrastructure and technologies that global leaders need to predict, detect and respond to a wide variety of biological threats.”

The Defender also cited multiple sources related to the spread of bird flu propaganda. However, epidemiologist Nicholas Hulscher said that people should not be afraid of bird flu outbreaks around the world.

“The current outbreaks of H5N1 among animal populations have not resulted in mass mortality with the exception of government-mandated culling,” he told the news source. “Genotype B3.13, the currently circulating strain in U.S. cattle, is currently a very mild illness for humans. There has never been a reported human H5N1 death in the U.S.”

Dr. Clayton J. Baker, an internal medicine physician who previously wrote an article about bird flu possibly becoming an October surprise, told the Defender that all of the reports by the mainstream media are nothing more than “fear porn.”

“New York City Bird Flue Full-Scale Dry Run–October 21, just Four Days before Early Voting Starts. Scary scenarios designed to either influence or suppress voting patterns in NYC. Tabletop and institutional exercises juice fear into the system with the major goal of pushing more avian influenza vaccines. Fear-selling vaccines has been a major pandemic marketing theme,” Dr. Peter A. McCullough wrote in his Twitter post.

McCullough may be right about the election meddling in New York City. Headline USA reported that New Yorkers may vote for Donald Trump this election.

Poll: Majority of New York Voters Want Adams to Resign

(Christian Wad, The Center Square) A majority of New Yorkers think embattled Mayor Eric Adams should resign from office or be removed following his indictment on federal charges, according to a new independent poll.

The Marist poll, conducted between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, found at least 69% of New York City residents, including 71% of Democrats, think Adams should resign as mayor as he fights federal bribery, fraud and campaign finance violations that could land the former NYPD police captain in jail. Only 30% say Adams should serve out the rest of his term, the poll found.

If Adams doesn’t resign, 63% of voters polled said Gov. Kathy Hochul should use her executive powers to begin the process of removing Adams from his position. Only 36% do not think Hochul should take the unprecedented step.

Pollsters also found that Adams can’t hide from the controversy, with more than seven in 10 respondents having heard a “good amount” about his indictment, and roughly two-thirds think Adams did something illegal.

“It’s hard to imagine how Mayor Adams could be faring any worse in the court of public opinion,” Dr. Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, said in a statement. “Not only do New York City residents think he has done something illegal, but they think he should resign or have Governor Hochul start the process of removing him from office.”

Adams, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, has vowed to fight the indictment, which has made him the first sitting New York City mayor to be charged with crimes. He has refused to step down.

Federal prosecutors accuse Adams of seeking and accepting more than $100,000 in illegal gifts, like travel and campaign contributions from the Turkish government and wealthy foreign business owners dating back to his days as Brooklyn borough president. He’s also accused of accepting more than $10 million in illegal ‘straw’ donations traced to Turkey.

In exchange for free travel perks and illegal campaign contributions, Adams allegedly pressured an official with the New York Fire Department to allow a Turkish consulate building to open despite safety concerns, federal prosecutors said.

But Marist pollsters found that Adams’ job approval rating amid the controversy is underwater, with only 26% saying they approve of the job he is doing and 74% saying they disapprove. Adams’ approval rating is down from 37% in November of 2023. Only 11% strongly approve of the job Adams is doing as mayor, and 47% strongly disapprove, pollsters said.

A growing chorus of Democrats have called on Adams to step down over concerns that his legal troubles could impact their chances of taking control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the November election. Republicans have an eight-seat majority in the House, with three vacancies in Democratic districts. Several New York congressional districts held by Republicans are in play in the upcoming election.

Among the potential Adams challengers waiting in the wings, the Marist poll found that most voters don’t want Cuomo to run for mayor if Adams resigns, while 44% think he should go for it.

But Cuomo appears to have support among Democratic voters, with 52% saying they think he should jump into the race, Marist pollsters found.

If Adams does resign, Public Advocate Jumaane William would take over the post as interim mayor until a special election is held.

Company says Law Would Create a ‘Honeypot of Data’ for Cybercriminals

(Kim Jarett, The Center Square) A Tennessee law designed to keep children safe online would actually create a “honeypot of data” for cybercriminals and online predators, a company suing the state over the law said.

NetChoice filed a lawsuit Thursday over House Bill 1891, which requires social media companies to receive parental consent before allowing minors to create accounts. The attorney general was given the authority to take action against companies for violations.

The law won’t make any child safer, and it’s unconstitutional, NetChoice said in a news release.

“HB1891 would prevent Tennesseans – minors and adults alike – from discussing politics, catching up with friends, or reading the news online unless they surrender their sensitive personal data first,” said Paul Taske, associate director of the NetChoice Litigation Center. “Not only does this violate the First Amendment, but it also endangers the security of all Tennesseans, particularly children, by creating a data target for hackers and criminals.”

The law is “unconstitutionally vague, leaving many websites uncertain about whether they must shoulder the Act’s burdens,” the company said in the lawsuit that was included with the release.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is the latest governor to sign a law requiring social media companies to verify a minor’s age.

Laws passed in Arkansas and Utah were struck down, according to previous reporting by The Center Square. A similar law in Texas will be heard in the U.S. Supreme Court.

NetChoice is asking the court to declare the Tennessee’s legislation unlawful and unconstitutional and bar the state from enacting it on its Jan. 1 effective date.

The Center Square was unsuccessful getting comment from the bill sponsor, Rep. William Lamberth, R-Portland.
