Candidate Suffers Medical Episode in Debate to Replace Bob Menendez

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Republican candidate for the open U.S. Senate seat in New Jersey appeared to suffer a medical episode during the senatorial debate with his Democratic opponent.

Curtis Bashaw, a Republican seeking to become New Jersey’s next senator after Bob Menendez’s resignation, seemed visibly shaken and struggled to articulate his thoughts as he delivered remarks during the Sunday debate with Democrat Andy Kim.

“We need to make sure that we are dealing with affordability in a sensible way,” Bashaw said before abruptly trailing off while gasping for air. He nearly lost his balance and leaned heavily on his podium for support.

Kim took notice of Bashaw’s distress and rushed to assist him, asking, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” the Republican candidate replied, his voice shaky and his legs trembling. The debate host intervened, sending the live stream to a commercial break.

After the break, the debate resumed, with Bashaw explaining that the episode occurred because he had not eaten all day.

After the episode, he assured his followers on X that he was doing well.

“Thank you all for the well wishes! I was out campaigning all day, and I never stopped to get a bite to eat. Excited to eat pizza with my fantastic volunteers at the post-debate party tonight,” he wrote.

In a separate post, Bashaw shared a photo of his campaign team posing with a pizza box.

Bashaw and Kim are vying to replace Menendez, who resigned from the Senate in August after being convicted on multiple federal corruption charges.

Current polls show Kim leading Bashaw by five percentage points. New Jersey has not had a GOP senator since 1982.

Bashaw is a gay and pro-choice hotel businessman credited with the landmark restorations of Congress Hall and the Virginia Hotel in Cape May, New Jersey.

He defeated Mendham Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner, a Trump-endorsed candidate, in the primary.

Kim has represented New Jersey’s Third Congressional District in Congress since 2019.

Are Democrats Sabotaging Hurricane Relief in GOP Strongholds to Steal 2024?

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy asserted that the floods caused by Hurricane Helene could hinder the mailing and counting of ballots from Republican voters ahead of the November election.

Politico reported Friday roughly 40,000 ballots were mailed to voters in Republican strongholds in North Carolina and Georgia before Hurricane Helene ravaged these swing states. Only 1,000 of those ballots have been returned.

During an interview with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, McCarthy was asked whether he believed the federal government would ensure those ballots were cast and counted.

“Well, I doubt that because they are not even hard at work making sure those people are still alive or they get resources,” McCarthy replied on the Friday edition of Ingraham Angle. “They don’t even have electricity. They don’t even have the ability—if it wasn’t for Elon Musk—they wouldn’t be able to know what is going on right now.”

The former speaker’s comments followed Politico’s report that parts of western North Carolina and eastern Georgia—both areas he decisively won in 2020—were flooded by the relentless rain of Hurricane Helene.

Both states, carrying 16 electoral votes each, are considered battlegrounds in 2024. Current polls show that Trump leads Harris by about 1 percentage point.

If Republicans in the affected areas do not turn out to vote, Harris could potentially win those states and the election.

McCarthy suggested that Americans in the affected regions are still grappling with the hurricane’s effects. “I talked to many of them along the way,” he stated, before pointing out a Gallup poll that delivered troubling news for Democrats.

“Gallup poll just came back last week. It’s an interesting one. It doesn’t ask who you are going to vote for. It asks, ‘Who do you identify with? Republican or Democrat?’ And for the first time Republicans won by more than 3 points, 48-45,” McCarthy said.

“They asked another question: ‘Who is best to solve the problems in the future?’ Republicans, again. I will tell you President Trump is rising,” the former speaker added.

Mayorkas Busted in High-End Store as Hurricane Victims Suffer

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) He’s a material boy!

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was seen indulging in a luxury shopping spree in Washington, D.C.. At the same time, thousands of Americans continue grappling with the devastation Hurricane Helene left behind.

Mayorkas appeared relaxed in a navy blue polo, khaki pants and New Balance sneakers while browsing the men’s section in Sid Mashburn, a high-end store where some clothing items cost up to $5,995.

The Washington Free Beacon captured a photo of Mayorkas inside the luxury store on Saturday afternoon. The image quickly went viral on social media, sparking backlash over his reckless timing.

According to Free Beacon reporter Joseph Simonson, who took the photo, this was the second time he had seen Mayorkas in the same store in about a month.

“So, suffice to say, the guy isn’t working around the clock,” Simonson wrote on X. His photo of Mayorkas racked up over 1.6 million views.

On Saturday, the death toll from Hurricane Helene rose to 227, while over 117,000 power outages were reported in western North Carolina.

Mayorkas decided to go shipping less than a week after he came under fire for conceding that FEMA, which falls under his authority, ran out of funds to manage the remainder of the hurricane season.

Mayorkas’s comments sparked a wave of criticism, particularly from Republicans, who pointed out that FEMA has been central to the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to house illegal immigrants and paroled foreign nationals.

In addition to his shopping spree, Mayorkas allegedly dined at Nobu, a high-end restaurant where dishes cost up to $200, according to National Pulse editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam, who responded to Simonson’s post.

Similarly, America First Legal, a conservative non-profit that has filed several lawsuits against Mayorkas, slammed him for seemingly disregarding Americans’ suffering while indulging in a luxury shopping spree.

Fox News Host Pokes Holes in Tim Walz’s Pro-Abortion Talking Points

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Fox News Sunday host Shannon Bream poked holes in the pro-abortion talking points of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the 2024 Democratic nominee for vice president.

Five days after Walz faced off against Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, in the only vice presidential debate, the Minnesota governor granted Fox News a rare interview.

Bream recited Minnesota’s abortion laws per AbortionFinder.org, which she said states “there is no ban or limit on abortion in Minnesota based on how far along you are in pregnancy.”

“You signed the bill that makes it legal through all nine months. Is that a position you think Democrats should advocate for nationally?” the Fox News Sunday host inquired.

“Look, the vice president and I have been clear. The restoration of Roe v. Wade is what we’re asking,” Walz replied.

“But that law goes far beyond Roe v. Wade,” Bream countered.

“This is a woman’s right to make her own judgement —” Walz continued before shaking his head. “The law is, the law is very clear. It does not change that.”

Walz insisted that Bream’s implication that his state implemented extreme pro-abortion policies was “debunked,” but the Fox News anchor interjected.

“Wait, wait. Let’s agree! What you signed, there’s not a single limit through nine months of pregnancy. Roe had a trimester framework that did have limits through the pregnancy. The Minnesota law does not have that,” Bream pushed back.

Walz’s Protect Reproductive Rights Act, which he signed into law six months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and restored the issue of abortion restrictions to the states, does not stop women from aborting their pregnancies in the later stages.

Walz attempted to skirt Bream calling him out for allowing abortions up to nine months of pregnancy by scrounging up verbiage about women making their own decisions. He pivoted by falsely claiming 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump plans to impose a federal ban on abortions.

“Wait. He has said repeatedly that he will not sign a national abortion ban. Are you calling that just, it’s a flat-out lie?” Bream asked.

Walz told Bream that he believes Trump is being dishonest despite the GOP candidate’s repeated assertion that abortion is an issue for the states, not the federal government.

Walz brought up the death of Georgia woman Amber Nicole Thurman, who died as a result of “complications” following the ingestion of chemical abortion pills, according to The Federalist. Despite this, Democrats have omitted the impact of the drugs and instead used the 28-year-old’s death to campaign for the restoration of Roe v. Wade.

“Trying to cut hairs on an issue on this is not where the American public’s at. They want the restoration of Roe v. Wade. Vice President Harris said she would sign it,” Walz said.

“Okay, but to be clear, the Minnesota law is far beyond Roe v. Wade,” Bream corrected. “And about the Amber Thurman case in Georgia, her family has — and it’s tragic. She is a young mother who left behind a young son. But what her family has said is that it was a complication from an abortion pill that she received. And she did get proper care when she went to a Georgia hospital, which had multiple opportunities to intervene there.”

“Her own attorney, the family’s attorney, said it wasn’t the Georgia law,” Bream told Walz.

“It was the hospital’s, what he claims is, ‘malpractice’ not treating her when she clearly showed up in distress and still had the byproducts of her pregnancy because of that rare complication from the abortion pill. So, just to be clear on the Georgia law and how her family and how her attorney sees it,” the Fox News anchor said.

Election Year Medicare Move Costs Taxpayers $21B over Next 3 Years

(Shirleen Guerra, The Center Square) The Congressional Budget Office has released an analysis of the Biden administration’s newly announced Medicare prescription drug premiums, estimating the new program could cost taxpayers more than $21 billion over three years if implemented.

The analysis comes after House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, and Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter to Director Phillip Swagel of the CBO questioning the budgetary impact of this new demonstration program.

A release from Swagel’s department said the increase in federal spending would range from $10 billion to $20 billion in 2025 compared to earlier projections.

“As predicted, the Biden-Harris Inflation Reduction Act not only quelled investment for new cures, but caused Medicare prescription drug plan premiums to skyrocket, and Democrats are scrambling to cover it up before the election,” Arrington said in a press release. “In July, the Biden-Harris CMS scrambled to create a new federal program that will send billions of tax dollars to large health insurance companies to cover up a massive flaw in their so-called Inflation Reduction Act.”

The new average plan bid for a standard Part D coverage increases by 179% for 2025 partly due to an underestimation of federal attributions to the Part D changes, according to the analysis.

Arrington continued, “Today, CBO confirmed that the administration’s election year Hail Mary will cost taxpayers an astounding $7 billion next year alone, and $21 billion over the planned three-year demo, adding to the more than $2 trillion in Biden-Harris executive spending.”

These plans typically expect monthly reinsurance, which means Medicare payments cover part of the costs of prescription drugs when the catastrophic threshold is reached.

Almost 60% of Part D enrollees are through Medicare Advantage plans and receive coverage through MA-PD plans. The rest are covered through what’s known as stand-alone prescription drug plans.

CBO expects the following changes for prescription drug plans in 2025:

• A $15 reduction for monthly PDPs. This would cost a total of $2.9 billion in federal funding.

• Increases in PDPs will be capped at $35 in 2024 and 2025, totaling $1.8 billion in federal funding.

• Risk corridor subsidies will increase for PDPs that have more than 2.5% of bids in 2025, resulting in $250 million of federal funding.

The budget office said the changes to temporary subsidies, combined with risk corridors, will increase federal spending by $5 billion in 2025, with $2 billion in net spending interest until 2034.

Policies included in the $891 billion Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 have changed the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit that was originally estimated to be $30 million over 10 years beginning in 2025.

This resulted in the sponsors of the Medicare prescription drug plan increasing plan bids and base beneficiary premiums for 2025 while reducing the number of plans that would be available to seniors in 2025.

“When Democrats unilaterally enacted major changes to Medicare two years ago, they set seniors up for new expenses and fewer options,” Grassley said in a release. “This nonpartisan CBO analysis confirms CMS’s cost-shifting plan is a dishonest election year gimmick to cover up those consequences.”

CMS is an acronym for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The program would send federal money to large health insurance companies while falsely lowering the cost for seniors Part D premiums and potentially costing $7 billion in 2025, according to the analysis.

Grassley continued, “Rather than coming to the table and legitimately addressing its partisan mistakes, the Biden-Harris administration threw taxpayer dollars at the problems it created, putting Americans on the hook for tens of billions more dollars.”

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure said in a release, “Today’s final guidance for the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program builds off the success of the first 10 negotiated drug prices and continues the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to provide millions of people with Medicare affordable access to innovative therapies.”

This is a contradiction from the reported number taxpayers will pay that was stated in the analysis.

Brooks-LaSure continued, “While saving Medicare and taxpayers billions of dollars, the negotiated prices will also provide people with Medicare a better deal on some of Medicare’s costliest prescription drugs, promoting necessary competition in the market, and ensuring Medicare is strong today and into the future.”

The temporary subsidies, announced in July, affect both those enrolled and the federal payments to Plan D premiums in 2025, 2026 and 2027, though certain policies have yet to be announced for 2026-27, meaning no budgetary estimation for both years.

The budget office said it expects $100 million in 2025 from each organization that controls and collects payments from the government on behalf of Part D plans.

Continuing that most of that would have been paid for by enrollees in the Part D program through premiums, “For that reason, the effect of CMS’s subsidies on plans’ revenues is much smaller than the federal cost. By providing larger federal subsidies to prescription drug plans, the federal payments to Part D plans effectively cover costs that would have been borne by Part D enrollees.”

Labor Dept. Claims 254K New Sept. Jobs as Gov’t Goes on Hiring Spree

(Shirleen Guerra, The Center Square) The Bureau of Labor Statistics employment data shows that the American job market picked up in September with the unemployment rate declining slightly to 4.1%.

The report shows employers added 254,000 jobs, higher than the previous 12 months average monthly gain of 203,000, and higher than the 159,000 jobs added in August.

The Federal Reserve cut interest rates last month, the first time in years, in an attempt to battle inflation.

“Today’s employment report confirms suspicions that we are in a high neutral rate environment where responsible monetary policy requires caution in rate cutting. With the benefit of hindsight, the 50 basis point cut in September was a mistake, though not one of great consequence,” posted former Secretary Treasure Lawrence Summers on X.

He continued, “With this data, “no landing” as well as “hard landing” is a risk the @federalreserve has to reckon with. Nominal wage growth remains well above pre-COVID levels andit does not appear to be decelerating.”

The information is gathered from two surveys. The household survey covers labor force status and unemployment by demographic characteristics. The second survey, known as the establishment survey, covers nonfarm employment hours and earnings by industry.

The uptick in employment was in food services and drinking places, health care, government, social assistance, and construction jobs, with food services and drinking places increasing by 69,000 in September compared to the average monthly gain of 14,000.

Health care added 45,000 jobs, ranking below average throughout the previous 12 months, with government agencies reaching 31,000, social assistance employers 27,000, and construction companies coming in at 25,000 in September.

Average hourly wages climbed 0.4%, according to the report.

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed a slight decline in the unemployment rate from 4.2% the previous month to 4.1%. The number of unemployed people was 6.8 million. This number is higher than last year, when the jobless rate was 3.8%, with 6.3 million unemployed people.

The number of long-term unemployed, those unemployed for longer than 27 weeks, had little change from the previous month but has increased to 1.6 million from last year’s 1.3 million.

The report states that undocumented migrants are likely included in both surveys since neither is designed to ask the legal status of each worker, making it impossible to determine how many are counted in either survey. While the household survey includes identifying questions for foreign and native-born people, it does not include questions about the legal status of the foreign-born.

The report includes revisions to nonfarm payroll employment from July, which was revised from 89,000 to 144,000, and August revisions went from 142,000 to 159,000.

Report: More than 50 Jihadist Cases in 29 States Show ‘Persistent Terror Threat’

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) A new report published by the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security states that “foreign jihadist networks and homegrown violent extremists” represent a “persistent terror threat to America.”

It identifies more than 50 cases in 29 U.S. states between April 2021 and September 2024, including dozens of attempts to provide material support to Islamic designated foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs), ISIS, Hezbollah and al Qaeda, with individuals receiving military type training from ISIS and Hezbollah, and committing fraud.

The states where jihadist cases were identified include Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

The committee notes that increased threats to Americans heightened after an ISIS-K-orchestrated terrorist attack in Afghanistan on Aug. 30, 2021, that killed 13 U.S. service members. Terrorism threats also escalated after the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack against Israel, which killed an estimated 1,200 with 200 hostages taken.

“From the Biden-Harris administration’s chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal and the spillover effects of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks against our ally Israel to the vulnerabilities caused by our wide-open borders, the United States is facing a dynamic and worsening terror threat landscape,” Committee Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., said.

“Foreign jihadist networks like ISIS and Hizballah, as well as homegrown violent extremists ideologically motivated by these terrorist groups, present security threats to the homeland. The Department of Homeland Security’s mission is to protect the American people from every threat at our doorstep. The system is blinking red yet again, as even the head of the FBI has noted. Despite heightened threats from terrorists, the Biden-Harris administration continues to demonstrate weak leadership on the world stage and fails to admit its policy failures that brought us here. We must change course and take the necessary actions to protect the homeland.”

The report lists examples of convictions of foreign nationals and American citizens, nearly all Muslim men, in 29 states. Of the dozens cited, some include:

  • a Turkish man in Kentucky convicted of providing material support and receiving military-type training from ISIS;
  • two Jordanian illegal border crossers attempted to breach Marine Base Quantico;
  • a British Muslim held hostage Jewish parishioners in a Colleyville, Texas, synagogue;
  • a Pakistani man with ties to Iran charged in New York with attempting to commit an act of terrorism and murder-for-hire to assassinate American politicians;
  • a Moroccan man in Minnesota sentenced to prison for joining and fighting with ISIS in Syria, receiving military training from ISIS and providing assistance to ISIS;
  • a Muslim man in Florida sentenced to prison for supporting an FTO;
  • a Pakistani man in Minnesota sentenced to prison for multiple offenses including planning to conduct “lone wolf” terrorist attacks in the U.S.;
  • two brothers in Indiana sentenced to prison for providing material support to a terrorist organization, including manufacturing and selling weapons;
  • a Kosovo man in Brooklyn, New York, sentenced to life in prison for providing material support to ISIS and serving as a high-ranking member of ISIS;
  • an Uzbekistan national sentenced to centuries in prison for carrying out a terrorist attack in the name of ISIS in lower Manhattan in October 2017, killing eight;
  • a Muslim man in Pittsburgh sentenced to prison for attempting to provide material support to ISIS and planning to bomb a church in the name of ISIS; among others.

The report also highlights actions taken by the Departments of Justice and Treasury against individuals and groups connected to Islamic terrorist organizations.

It was released 23 years after 19 al Qaeda men hijacked four airplanes to commit the largest terrorist attack in U.S. history, killing nearly 3,000 people.

It was also released after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued its threat report for 2025, warning of terrorism threats surrounding the November election and the Israel-Hamas war. Prior to that, an international rescue organization issued an alert to Jews and Americans to remain vigilant in light of heightened terrorist threats leading up to the one year anniversary of the Oct. 7 terrorist attack and Jewish holidays.

In 2002, Congress passed the Homeland Security Act, creating the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to consolidate multiple federal agencies with one goal: to defend Americans from terrorist and national security threats. Twenty-three years later, DHS has serious deficiencies, and its policies are potentially creating national security risks, according to multiple reports published by the Office of Inspector General.

In the most recent report released, the OIG said current U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement practices “cannot ensure they are keeping high-risk noncitizens without identification from entering the country.” Likewise, the Transportation Security Administration “cannot ensure its vetting and screening procedures prevent high-risk noncitizens who may pose a threat to the flying public from boarding domestic flights.

“CBP and ICE have policies and procedures for screening noncitizens, but neither component knows how many noncitizens without identification documents are released into the country.”

DEA Warns of Counterfeit Pain Pills with Fentanyl at Illegal Online Pharmacies

0

(Brett Rowland, The Center Square) A federal agency is warning consumers about using illegal online pharmacies after an increase in sales of counterfeit pills made with fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The warning comes after the death of one person who bought what she thought was oxycodone but died of fentanyl poisoning.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration reported an increase in illegal online pharmacies selling and shipping counterfeit pills made with fentanyl and methamphetamine to unsuspecting customers in the United States. The customers thought they were buying real pharmaceutical drugs such as oxycodone, Adderall, Xanax and other drugs from legitimate pharmacies.

The increase comes as more Americans turn to online pharmacies to buy medications.

The agency issued a Public Safety Alert to warn of an increase in illegal online, often foreign-based websites that are targeting American consumers.

The DEA has identified websites being operated in India and the Dominican Republic.

“Many of these sites purport to be legitimate, U.S. based or FDA approved sites, but are actually working with drug traffickers to fulfill online orders with fake pills,” according to the agency. “These website operators are going to great lengths to make the websites look like legitimate online pharmacies – they offer 24-hour customer service, post online reviews and safety facts, and offer deep discounts to deceive customers into believing they were buying from a reputable business.”

DEA officials said these illegal websites often appear professional.

“These companies operate illegally, deliberately deceiving American customers into believing they are purchasing safe, regulated medications when they are actually selling fake, counterfeit pills made with fentanyl or methamphetamine,” according to the agency. “Fake medications can lead to serious health risks, including harmful side effects, ineffective treatment, and even death.”

One U.S. based buyer had ordered what she believed to be oxycodone from an online pharmacy. Instead, she got fake pills made with fentanyl. Fentanyl is more powerful than oxycodone.

“The pill looked identical to a real oxycodone, but it was not – it was made with fentanyl and filler,” according to the DEA. “Days after receiving the medication, the victim passed away from acute fentanyl poisoning as a result of taking one of the pills sent to her.”

The agency identified nine fake pharmacies in a recent criminal investigation. The sites included: Curecog.com, Pharmacystoresonline.com, Careonlinestore.com, yourphamacy.online, MD724.com, Greenleafdispensarystore.com, Whatishydrocodone.weebly.com, Orderpainkillersonline.com and USAMedstores.com.

DEA also offered tips and red flags to look for to avoid fake pharmacies:

  • Sells prescription drugs without requiring a valid prescription from a healthcare provider
  • Offers much cheaper prices than what is typically seen in the market
  • Lists prices in a foreign currency
  • Does not contain proof of a valid pharmacy state license or DEA registration
  • Medicine arrives in broken or damaged packaging or in a foreign language
  • Medicine does not have an expiration date or is expired
  • Medicine looks different from what you have received in the past from your trusted pharmacist

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s provisional estimated overdose deaths in 2023 declined about 3.1% to 107,543. That’s down from 111,029 in 2022. Two out of every three deaths involved synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, a cheap and potent opioid smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico.

The pills are often made with precursor chemicals from China.

The DEA’s most recent National Drug Threat Assessment found the purity level of illicit fentanyl in the U.S. drug market has increased and the amount of fentanyl found in counterfeit prescription pills has increased, making the nation’s top drug threat even more dangerous.

A lethal dose of the potent opioid is about 2 milligrams, depending on the opioid tolerance of the user.

In 2022, the average fentanyl pill contained 2.4 milligrams of fentanyl, according to analysis by DEA forensic chemists who test random samples of the fentanyl seized in the U.S. Overall, the tested samples ranged from a low of .03 milligrams to a high of 9 milligrams.

Biden-Harris Regime Quietly Amends Directive Against Assassination of Americans

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Biden-Harris administration amended a Bush-era directive against the assassination of Americans as it pertains to law enforcement activities in intelligence collection and national security.

The Defense Department appears to have removed language asserting that “under no circumstances shall any” component or employee of the federal body “engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination.”

This clear language appeared in the August 2007 version of the directive, which relates to the implementation of former President Ronald Reagan’s Executive Order 12333, originally signed in 1981.

On Sept. 27, 2024, the Defense Department established more vague language, stating that no department “civilian employee or member of the Armed Forces will engage in, or conspire to engage in assassination.”

The “under no circumstances” clause is notably missing, prompting many on social media to sound the alarm about the intent behind the change.

The amendment was first noted by journalist Ken Klippenstein’s page, KlipNews, which shared the news on X.

Natalie Winters, a journalist and co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, also highlighted the change on X.

“Odd thing to change.  Especially stripping the ‘under no circumstances,’” Winters commented.

Conservative news page @amuse reshared the update on its X page, crediting Winters for reporting on the change.

“With just months left in office the Biden-Harris regime decided to update the 17 year old Bush-era directive against assassin@tion of Americans,” the page, which uses uses AI and satire to report on news, wrote.

“Why would the regime feel the need to legalize killing Americans who threaten the foundations of our democracy?” the page added.

Headline USA reached out to the DoD for comment outside of business hours but did not receive a response by the 1:45 a.m. ET deadline.

This story will be updated once, and if, the federal agency provides a response.

Kamala Slammed for ‘Call Her Daddy’ Podcast as Hurricane Helene Victims Rise

Note: This article contains sexual language typical of the Call Her Daddy podcast where Vice President Kamala Harris is being interviewed.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris came under fire this weekend after taping an interview with the controversial podcast Call Her Daddy on Tuesday, coinciding with a rising death toll from Hurricane Helene.

Although the episode will air next week, critics highlighted that Harris took time off her official duties while thousands of Americans anxiously awaited news about their missing loved ones.

At the time, at least 162 individuals had been confirmed dead, but by Saturday, the death toll had risen to 227. Critics on X minced no words in response to the podcast’s timing.

“This should be career ending,” wrote pro-MAGA X user “johnny maga,” his post garnering over 2 million views.

Fox News host Tomi Lahren replied, commenting that the podcast was “pretty fitting for Kamala though,” seemingly juxtaposing the sexual nature of the podcast and previous criticism targeting Harris.

Another user, whose post reached 71,000 views, wrote, “220 people have died in hurricane helene while people still can’t get supplies and the current veep went on call her daddy.”

Call Her Daddy is hosted by Alexandra Cooper, a popular comedian and personality who boasts millions of followers across her social media platforms.

In the podcast, Cooper delves into topics of sex, relationships and pop culture—subjects that some critics suggest are unbecoming of a presidential candidate.

Political commentator Collin Rugg reshared a clip of Cooper interviewing a porn star discussing sexual acts involving testicles and male rectums.

One user on X stated that the podcast is “as toxic for women as Andrew Tate is for men.”

Call Her Daddy was initially published by David Portnoy and Barstool Sports. In 2021, Spotify signed a deal with Cooper for a whopping $60 million payout.

SiriusXM took over in 2024, giving Cooper $125 million for the podcast’s ownership.

Harris’s appearance on the podcast appears to align with her past pledge to discuss abortion more candidly on the campaign trail.

This commitment was evident during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania in May, where she recounted a crude conversation with reporters about the subject.

“When I went to a reproductive clinic it was a long day and press was there and I said, ‘Let me just tell you. You guys are going to have to be ready … for certain language and I said very loudly: Ovaries!’” Harris claimed she told reporters.
