‘Golden Age of America’: Trump Sweeps Battleground States, Wins Popular Vote

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris and won a second term, Fox News projected early Wednesday after the Republican secured battleground state victories in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Trump locked down sizable leads in all seven swing states — Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — and appeared to win the popular vote for the first time by millions.

Trump delivered his victory speech just after 2 a.m. in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Mar-a-Lago, putting an end to the roughly 15-week campaign he ran against Harris after President Joe Biden dropped his reelection bid.

“This was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time. There never been anything like this in this country and maybe beyond,” he said. “Now it’s going to reach a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal.”

Trump thanked the American people for electing him as the nation’s 47th president and the 45th president. He became the second president in U.S. history since former President Grover Cleveland to be elected for two non-consecutive terms.

“This will truly be a golden age of America, that’s what we will have” Trump said. “This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again.”

Trump expressed gratitude to key allies, including his family, senior advisors, billionaire Elon Musk, former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others. The Republican president-elect reflected on the approximately 900 rallies he held within the past eight years before promising to “make our country better than it ever has been.”

“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason,” Trump recalled, referencing the assassination attempt against him at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania in July.

“And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness. And now we are going to fulfill that mission together,” he said.

The Republican Party secured majorities in both chambers of Congress, flipping multiple seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Around 1 a.m., Harris campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond revealed on stage at the vice president’s watch party at Howard University that Harris would not speak that night to address the election results. This came after Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon sent a memo to campaign staff urging them to “get some sleep” around 11 p.m.

Left-leaning news outlets like CNN, MSNBC, ABC News and the Associated Press stalled declaring Trump’s victory hours after Fox News and other forecasters made the call.

Mark Cuban Has Condo in Trump Tower

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently revealed that Mark Cuban, a multi-billionaire who became infamous for opposing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, has a condo in Trump Tower.

The New York Post discovered in the records that, while Cuban constantly criticized Trump, he owned a luxurious condo in the Trump International Hotel and Tower on Central Park West in New York City for nearly 25 years.

The news source added that Cuban, who supported Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, purchased the 3,700-square-foot property on the 45th floor of the Trump Tower in July 2000 for $13.5 million.

The Post reported that the condo has four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a panoramic view of Central Park and a formal dining room that overlooks the city.

Conservatives on Twitter didn’t miss an opportunity to mock Cuban’s hypocrisy.

“Mark Cuban may not agree with Trump’s politics, but he has no problem with him as a landlord,” the Post wrote in its headline.

Popular political commentator @alx also responded to the recent news.

“Mark Cuban hates Trump so much that he has a $13.5M condo at Trump Tower in New York,” he wrote.

Monica Crowley of Monica Crowley Podcast also responded to the recent report by the Post.

“This is perfection,” she wrote.

Others also highlighted Cuban’s hypocrisy.

“This is hilarious. What a hypocrite,” @PamelaHensley22 wrote.

Some conservatives, like political activist Ashley St. Clair, joked about Cuban’s “white privilege.”

“One time he told me I was lying about crime in NYC because he walks around on the Upper West Side as is fine. I told him his white privilege was showing,” she wrote.

Some people pointed out that Cuban was willing to pay money to Trump, even though he has Trump Derangement Syndrome.

“Well, I thought Trump lived rent-free in his head but apparently Mark is paying him,” @S0JTF wrote.

Cuban became notorious for his hatred of Trump. In late August, he released a poll on Twitter, asking people whether Trump of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris would be a better role model for children. Cuban didn’t like the poll results since almost 70% of people chose Trump as an option.

Cuban also received pushback from Trump-supporting women after he claimed that women who support him are not “strong” and “intelligent.” Cuban later apologized for his comments.

“It’s part of politics. It was my mistake, and I apologized for it,” he said. “I certainly wasn’t saying anything negative about anyone supporting Trump.”

Trump-Supporting Home Depot Co-Founder Dies Day Before Election

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Home Depot co-founder and Republican Party megadonor Bernard Marcus passed away on Monday at 95.

The National Pulse reported that Marcus earned around $7.4 billion. He launched Home Depot with Arthur Blank in 1978. The news source added that as of Tuesday, one of the United States’s leading home improvement retailers has 2,300 locations with a total market capitalization of around $400 billion.

Marcus, a son of Russian Jewish immigrants, was born in Newark, N.J., in 1929. He served as Home Depot’s CEO until 1997 and remained chairman until he retired in 2002.

The news source also reported that Marcus was a well-known Republican supporter who regularly donated to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.

In addition to his financial contributions, Marcus regularly appeared on networks like Fox News to discuss his political views, particularly his concern over the rise of socialism and the declining work ethic and freedom of speech in the United States.

“The entire Home Depot family is deeply saddened by the death of our co-founder Bernie Marcus. He’s left us with an invaluable legacy and the backbone of our company: our values and our culture. He will be tremendously missed,” Home Depot wrote on Twitter, including a link to the webpage on the official website in remembrance of Marcus.

Blank also published a statement about Marcus’s death.

Trump also issued a statement on the passing of Marcus.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, whom Marcus previously supported, also released a statement on Twitter regarding Marcus’s death.

“Rest in Peace to my friend Bernie Marcus, who passed away last night at 95. He was the living embodiment of the American Dream, starting Home Depot as a career change when he was nearly 50. I’m sad he won’t get to see how the story ends today, but I’m grateful for his love of this country and his support of TPUSA along the way. May God bless the Marcus family,” Kirk wrote.

Political commentator Steve Cortez also responded to Marcus’s death.

“Bernie Marcus died. Co-founder of Home Depot and a great American. A patriot who will be missed. Requiescat in Pace,” he wrote.

Senior Writer at Real Clear Investigations also highlighted how successful Home Depot is.

“If you bought a single share of Home Depot stock when it was first offered in 1981, that $12 investment would now be worth over $200,000,” he wrote.

Other people on Twitter also responded to Marcus dying on the eve of the 2024 election.

Soros Spends $9M to Promote Kamala

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently revealed that leftists spent more than $9 million of George Soros’s money to promote Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and attack Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in Facebook ads.

“[Courier Newsroom] doesn’t seem to be hurting for cash. From Aug. 3 to Oct. 31, the group spent $9.2 million on Facebook ads primarily targeting five swing states: Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and North Carolina,” the Washington Free Beacon reported. “Courier has more recently ramped up its ads in Nevada, spending nearly $300,000 there in the last week.”

The news source noted that many of the ads target the topics of abortion and birth control, presenting Harris positively and Trump negatively.

“They’re targeting voters under the guise of a news organization while shielding their donors’ identities,” a veteran Republican operative who assessed Courier’s Facebook spending said.

The Beacon also showed the organization’s connection to Soros’s empire.

Infamous Soros had been engaging in his far-left activism for decades. As expected, the propaganda of the leftist beliefs and candidates from the Democratic Party intensified in 2024.

This April, Soros-funded PAC spent $1 million on the One For All Committee, which produces and runs advertisements to convince “moderate white women” to vote for Democrats in “key battleground states.”

Even though he is a Jew, Soros funded Jew-hating and Hamas-supporting American students who were protesting on their campuses, with Columbia University being one of the most well-known examples.

It was also reported that Soros has been bribing prosecutors all around the country so that they would advance his anti-American agenda.

“These documents reveal how the Soros machine effectively employs an army of radicalized government lawyers to tear apart the justice system,” the Media Research Center wrote, referring to the 33-page report, summarizing nearly 8,000 pages of documents, that revealed Soros-funded non-profits had held at least 51 meetings with the prosecutors.

“The result is a crumbling legal system where laws are openly defied by the very people who are paid to enforce them.”

Soros also used his surrogates to engage in election interference by attempting to steal the 2024 election in Nevada and Michigan. Additionally, the multi-billionaire used illegal aliens and over 200 radio stations to steal this year’s election.

His son, Alexander, who inherited the empire, also turned out to be a leftist who is connected to Democrats.

Milwaukee to Recount 30K Absentee Ballots Due to Unsealed Tabulator

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) With flashbacks to Wisconsin’s notorious 2020 election graph undoubtedly returning to the minds of many skeptics and integrity watchdogs, the city of Milwaukee was one of the first out of the gate to encounter a significant “irregularity” on Tuesday.

The city, which played host earlier this year to the Republican National Convention, revealed that it wound need to recount about 30,000 absentee ballots after a Republican election observer flagged an improperly closed panel on an election tabulator.

According to Alexander Shur of the nonprofit Votebeat, the compromised area included the tabulator’s on/off switch, as well as slots for USB drives to be stuck into the machine, potentially compromising about 30% of the city’s absentee ballot total.

The issue was not discovered until around 2 p.m., meaning workers had likely been using the machine for several hours. Around 4 p.m., officials began the absentee ballot recount, Votebeat reported.

City officials maintained that it was unlikely the machines had been compromised, but they were nonetheless undertaking the recount “out of an abundance of caution,” said Milwaukee spokesperson Jeff Fleming.

“We have no reason to believe that there was any compromise to any of the machines,” Fleming said. “But because they were not fully sealed—human error—… we are going to zero them all out again and rerun the ballots that had already been processed.”

Hilario Deleon, chair of the Milwaukee County GOP, said he was not concerned with the ballots having been compromised but was more alarmed by possibility that it could throw the vote-tallying into further disarray.

“I’m not worried about it, although it is a concerning thing when those things are supposed to be locked,” he said.

Deleon questioned the need to recount the affected ballots, noting it would push back the results and potentially open the door to additional irregularities by creating cover for Democrat election workers to continue into the wee hours of the night.

“So many more ballots still have to be counted,” said Deleon.

“Why are we adding more time onto this?” he continued. “It’s just going to be extra work for everyone, and any chance to get these numbers maybe by midnight or 1 a.m., that might have just been pushed back.”

A suspicious 3 a.m. ballot dump in some of the state’s blue-leaning counties in 2020, including Kenosha, allowed Democrat Joe Biden to make up a substantial Election Day deficit and gave him a narrow edge over then-President Donald Trump.

Skeptics noted that the entire batch appeared to break for Biden, with Trump’s trajectory not seeing any sort of equivalent bump as one might expect under normal circumstances.

Biden ultimately won the battleground state by a margin of just over 20,000 votes.

The Milwaukee incident follows another major irregularity flagged by eagle-eyed Republican watchdogs in Colorado, where it was revealed last week that radical leftist Secretary of State Jena Griswold had compromised hundreds of passwords to the state’s election machines by posting them online in a hidden tab of an Excel spreadsheet.

The passwords had been posted and publicly accessible for months. After being alerted to the matter, Griswold’s office did not immediately come forward to altert the public for about a week, until after state Republicans announced it.

Libertarian and Republican officials in the state slammed the—presumably careless—error, calling for Griswold to resign immediately after failing to execute her one and only job.

Griswold refused but stated she was “regretful for this error,” the Rocky Mountain Voice reported.

Griswold was one of the ringleaders in an activist plot to force Trump off the ballot, although the ruling from the state’s leftist Supreme Court was ultimately overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Griswold also was outspoken in her condemnation of Tina Peters, a former Mesa County election official who received an eight-year sentence for allegedly compromising the county’s election equipment while trying to furnish pro-Trump watchdog groups with the voting logs to determine if the machines had been manipulated in the 2020 election.

Mark Cuban Backtracks after Insulting Female Trump Voters

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban attempted damage control after insulting female Trump supporters during his appearance on The View last week.

Cuban told the Daily Mail Monday he “flubbed” the interview, in which he implied that only weak women supported former President Donald Trump.

“You never see him around strong, intelligent women,” Cuban said. “Ever. It’s just that simple.”

The Kamala Harris supporter received immediate backlash over the statement and decided to attempt to undo his previous remarks.

“It’s part of politics, it was my mistake, and I apologized for it,” Cuban said. “I certainly wasn’t saying anything negative about anyone supporting Trump.”

When asked what his wife thought about the comments, he claimed she knew what he was trying to say.

Cuban tried to use the excuse of giving “hundreds of interviews” as the rational behind the negative comments.

GOP women were quick to take to social media to annihilate Cuban for his comments, with Trump’s Senior Advisor Alina Habba telling the billionaire to “go to hell.”

Cuban was asked if he had an opinion on Habba’s video.

“I didn’t have a feeling one way or another,” Cuban said. “She is obviously smart and passionate about her candidate, as she should be.”

SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly, who had previously feuded with Trump, delivered a speech Monday in Pittsburgh supporting the former president and said he will be “a protector of women.”

She said for that reason she is casting her ballot for the former president.

She also dunked on Cuban’s remarks while Trump remained by her side.

“I really enjoy this feeling of proving Mark Cuban wrong,” Kelly began, “and so here I am at a Trump rally—a strong intelligent woman—to prove Mark Cuban wrong again.”

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi likewise denounced the remarks during a Trump rally on Saturday in Greensboro, N.C.

“I was a prosecutor—I was a homicide prosecutor for 18 years, and I was Florida’s first female attorney general,” Bondi said.

“And I was special adviser to Donald Trump’s Office of White House Counsel, but most importantly, I’m his friend,” she continued. “And I was in that White House, and we all know he surrounded himself with a lot of brilliant women.”

Cuban’s comments came mere days after President Joe Biden decided to call Trump supporters “garbage.”

Trump supporters leaned into the attack, with many showing up at the rallies in trashbags and garbage-collector vests.

“I grabbed my husband and my roommate, and I said, ‘We’re going,'” said rallygoer Danielle Dye, who traveled from Tampa, Fla., to attend the Saturday-night rally in North Carolina. “I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let anybody call me ‘garbage’ and ‘stupid’ all in the same day.”

Kamala’s Staged Voter Call Backfires in Viral Election Day Stunt

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris faced mockery and backlash on Election Day after appearing to stage a phone call with a voter.

While in the Democratic National Committee’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, Harris appeared to call voters ahead of the polls closing. At one point, she accidentally revealed her phone’s camera screen, likely indicating the call was staged.

“How you doing? Have you voted already?” Harris said, standing next to campaign aides, before pausing briefly.

“You did? Thank you,” Harris replied, prompting her aides to break into applause.

As her aides applauded, Harris lowered the phone from her ear and displayed the screen, which only showed the camera app.

“Thank you so very much. It’s so important that everybody participates and I thank you because I’m sure you had a lot of other things you could be doing,” Harris said after placing the phone back on her ear.

The bizarre exchange quickly went viral, garnering millions of views, with conservatives mocking Harris for apparently staging the phone call.

“What a liar she is,” one user commented, adding a clown emoji next to the post. “She is so fake,” wrote a parody account of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“Unreal,” radio host Harrison Faulkner commented.

“It’s all fake with her. VOTE TRUMP AND STAY IN LINE,” journalist Drew Hernandez added.

YouTuber and media personality Amala Ekpunobi chimed in: “She pretends to take calls. She pretends to knock doors. She pretends she’s on the phone working to respond to Hurricane Helene. She pretends to care about Americans.”

Other critics included:

SELLERS: MAGA’s Historic Movement Closes a Major Chapter, but Much Remains Unwritten

Author’s note: While Trump’s decisive victory resolved some of the questions raised in the piece, I have decided not to update it as it seeks to capture a snapshot of a particular moment in time.

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) “All of a sudden everything was over,” Nick said. “I don’t know why it was. I couldn’t help it. Just like when the three-day blows come now and rip all the leaves off the trees.” –Ernest Hemingway, “The End of Something”

Tuesday, for better or for worse, marks the end of what has been a truly epochal journey.

Hours from this writing, it may end in glory or crushing heartbreak, perhaps even horror, but it will end.

At a rally Saturday in Greensboro, N.C., with only seven more campaign stops to go on Sunday and Monday, former President Donald Trump seemed to get a bit sentimental about his decadelong saga, spanning the past three election cycles.

“We’ve been waiting for four years for this,” he remarked, launching into a familiar line about how he might have spared himself the stress and expense of another presidential run, avoided the relentless lawfare attacks and assassination attempts, and lived out his golden years in the lap of luxury.

“I could have been on the beach—I could have been lots of places, but I would have had no interest,” he said.

While he may have seemed exhausted at times during his sprint to the finish line, Trump never slowed down, recognizing the magnitude of the moment.

“What we’re doing—remember, this is the greatest political movement, probably in the history of the world,” he said. “And this is the movement that is going to bring our country back.”

CENTER OF THE ACTION

With the possible exception of Pennsylvania, no state has been more significant to safeguarding Trump’s pathway back to the White House than North Carolina—the state where my own present journey as Headline USA editor began in 2018, when I relocated from its northern neighbor, Virginia.

It was a bit ironic, in a way, to be moving from within an hour’s drive of Washington, D.C., to a six-hour drive away in order to make my foray into political journalism.

While Charlotte is a fast-growning and bustling city, one of the gems of the modern South, it seemed a bit like Siberia for a reporter hoping to be in the center of the action, cultivating influential sources and witnessing major events firsthand.

That is, until the tightening of the 2024 race brought the center of the action to me.

For a few fleeting weeks, I had the opportunity to cover at least six different campaign events featuring Trump, his vice-presidential running mate JD Vance, and campaign surrogates like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. If I had the wherewithal, I might have made it to many others.

I became intimately acquainted with the media pen, oft-derided by Trump at his rallies as he gamefully lambasted the “fake news.”

Yet, partaking in that symbiotic love–hate relationship Trump has with the media, I also delighted in witnessing firsthand the making of history, coming twice to within mere feet from the podium where he spoke, and even riding once in the motorcade from one event to another.

I found myself straddling two worlds: that of the jaded and cynical journalists who treated it as another day at work, and of the throngs of supporters who waited hours in line for the privilege of being in the aura of the fearless MAGA leader.

Although I have no reason to believe Trump recognized my face or my work, I will never know if he was looking and pointing directly at me when, in Greensboro, he acknowledged that there were “a couple good ones” in the media pool.

TRUMP’S ANTI-DEPRESSANT

As much as Trump’s supporters have basked in the privilege of hearing him speak, Trump also seemed to see his campaign not as the means to an end, but as an end unto itself.

“You know the way to stop depression: Work your ass off,” Trump told the audience in Greensboro.

“You don’t have time,” he continued. “You want to work so hard that you don’t have time for depression.”

Having perfected the art of the improvisational “weave,” he seemed reluctant, on Saturday, to be letting go.

“It was a confluence of things that happened, and it became something so special,” he said.

“… We want to get this done, and then after that, what we’re going to have is a different form—a probably different name, not a word ‘rally,'” Trump continued. “But we’re gonna be much happier, because we’re going to set our country into the right path.”

AN UNWRITTEN VERSE

In the tumultuous days after the 2020 election, inspiration struck, and I wrote a poem envisioning Trump’s triumphant 2024 return.

Although certain details may have grown outdated, it has held up remarkably well and, at times, proven to be uncannily prescient.

In mere hours, the poem, however, will be nothing more than a footnote, with the next verse still unwritten on a blank page.

With any luck, Tuesday will be, as Trump himself said, “Liberation Day” for America.

Yet, in the off chance that things go awry, forcing us to relive the nation-rending anxieties of the 2020 race and the subsequent Biden presidency, we can be assured that the MAGA movement will carry on in some form.

Trump himself will never simply fade away (as World War 2 Gen. Douglas MacArthur lamented in his famous 1951 retirement speech), but will continue to fight, fight, fight until the very end.

Sweet though the prospect of victory may be, it is the struggle that has secured Trump’s legacy in the annals of U.S. history. And another defeat at the hands of the deep state would simply give him the opportunity to begin the journey anew en route to 2028.

As Hemingway’s hero, Nick Adams, comes to realize, “He felt happy now. There was not anything that was irrevocable.”

Trump Urges Voters to Stay in Line, Makes Surprise Stop at Campaign HQ

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Donald Trump appeared energized on Election Day, visiting his campaign’s headquarters, delivering a final message to his supporters and shutting down media-fueled questions about supposed election violence.

“I need you to deliver your vote no matter how long it takes. STAY IN LINE!” Trump wrote via Truth Social. “The Radical Communist Democrats want you to pack up and go home. Together, we are going to have a tremendous victory and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Later, Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump visited his campaign office to personally thank aides for their efforts in the final days of the election.

“It’s too early to congratulate,” Trump said while emphasizing his optimism over the high number of Republicans voting early across the country.

“I just wanted to thank everyone regardless. We just wanted to come over and pay our respects,” he added, gesturing to Melania, whom he praised as “our number one best-selling author.”

He added, “I hope they come up with the results tonight” referring to reports that some parts of the country could take days to count their votes.

Outside his polling place, Trump faced hostile questions from leftist reporters, including one asking if he will urge his voters to remain peaceful post-election. Trump had none of it in response.

“I don’t have to tell them that. … Of course, there’ll be no violence. My supporters are not violent people,” Trump declared, standing next to Melania.

“I certainly don’t want any violence. … These are great people. These are people that believe in no violence unlike your question, you believe in violence,” Trump concluded.

Fulton County Officials Briefly Close Polling Stations after Purported Russian Bomb Threats

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Election officials in Fulton County, Georgia briefly closed polling stations after purportedly receiving bomb threats from Russian email addresses. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson also reportedly said bomb threats were received in her state, also linked to Russian actors

The FBI issued a statement on the Fulton County bomb threats Tuesday afternoon, deeming them non-credible.

“The FBI is aware of bomb threats to polling locations in several states, many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains. None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far,” the bureau said.

“Election integrity is among the FBI’s highest priorities. We will continue to work closely with our state and local law enforcement partners to respond to any threats to our elections and to protect our communities as Americans exercise their right to vote.”

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger also confirmed the bomb threats during a press conference, where he appeared to downplay the issue.

“We’ve heard some threats that were of Russian origin. We don’t think they are [viable], but in the interest of public safety, you always check it out,” he said.

Though the polling stations were reportedly re-opened, their brief closures sparked concern among Trump supporters who fear another situation similar to 2020.

Georgia is still using Dominion Voting Systems in this election, despite a forensic report showing cybersecurity flaws in Dominion’s voting machines. Georgia election officials have said that the machines won’t be updated until after the 2024 elections because it’s such a massive undertaking.

Georgia’s voting machines already came under attack before voting even began. In April tech publication CyberScoop revealed that a cyberattack forced local government officials to sever their connection with the state’s voter registration system in none other than Coffee County.
