Volleyball Coach Suspended after Filing Title IX Complaint over Transgender Player

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) San Jose State University suspended associate head volleyball coach Melissa Batie–Smoose after the former coach filed a Title IX complaint alleging the university showed favoritism for a transgender athlete.

The 33-page sworn declaration, which was filed on Oct. 29 and obtained by online magazine Quillette, detailed the alleged measures SJSU went through for trans player Blaire Fleming.

The complaint discussed how the university allegedly did not tell players there would be a biological male on the team. After players became aware of it, school officials said anyone who opposed Fleming joining the team should leave the university and seek “therapy.”

Batie–Smoose was instructed to not speak with media, but she decided to give an exclusive interview to OutKick.

“This is just another form of what San Jose State has been trying to do: Silence people that are speaking up for their First Amendment rights and for what’s right,” Batie–Smoose said.

She vowed that she would continue to speak out regarding the situation.

“I want to make sure I’m standing strong that only women should be in women’s sports,” Batie–Smoose said.

SJSU confirmed that Batie–Smoose was no longer with the team.

San Jose State Spartans player Brooke Slusser posted her support for her former coach on X.

“My assistant coach spoke truth to protect my team,” Slusser wrote.

The removal of Batie–Smoose came after multiple women’s volleyball teams already refused to play against SJSU due to Fleming’s involvement.

“They took away the only safe space we had in the program,” Slusser said. “Because she knew that it was right to stand up for the 18 women on the team.”

Outspoken women’s sports activist (and former college swimmer) Riley Gaines blasted SJSU’s decision to get rid of the coach in a Saturday X post.

“This is how they get people to comply—through force,” Gaines wrote.

One X user attended the game between SJSU and New Mexico University and captured Fleming’s “leaping ability and hitting power” that Batie–Smoose referenced in the complaint.

5 Undercover Feds Used in ‘White Supremacist’ Terror Plot Announced Day before Election

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department announced charges Monday against Skyler Philippi, 24, of Columbia, Tennessee, for allegedly attempting to carry out a white supremacist terrorist attack—a case that involved the use of at least five undercover informants and agents, resembling the FBI’s dubious charges against the men accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan’s governor four years ago, also right before Election Day.

According to the DOJ, Philippi was planning to destroy a Tennessee energy facility—”but the FBI had already compromised his plot,” according to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s Monday press release.

The government’s criminal complaint suggests that undercover informants and agents pushed Philippi towards terrorism.

According to the complaint, Philippi had been talking to an FBI informant online earlier this year about committing a mass shooting at a YMCA in Columbia, Tennessee. After that alleged threat, the FBI informant introduced him to another informant, who was located physically closer to him.

On July 17, Philippi allegedly talked with the informant about attacking “nine or more electric substations.” Phillippi also allegedly asked the informant for a tool to de-rail a train—though that conversation wasn’t recorded.

The FBI informant introduced Phillippi to an undercover agent in August. During an in-person meeting, the defendant allegedly told the agent about his “manifesto,” which outlined desires to attack “high tax cities or industrial areas to let the kikes lose money.” During that conversation, he also allegedly told the agent about his previous affiliation with the Atomwaffen Division—a neo-Nazi terrorist group infiltrated by the FBI years ago.

On Sept. 14, Philippi met with the undercover agent and another FBI undercover agent.

“PHILIPPI told the UCEs his plan to use a drone with explosives attached to it and fly the drone into the electric substation,” the criminal complaint against Philippi states.

“PHILIPPI said using a drone with explosives would be more effective than shooting at the station with a rifle. PHILIPPI advised the UCEs that he preferred to build a drone himself to avoid law enforcement detection, and he wanted to attach TATP or C-4 explosive material to the drone.”

On Sept. 28, the FBI introduced Philippi to yet another undercover agent. After the meeting, the undercover agents drove him to a substation to plot the attack, according to the complaint.

“After talking with UCE-3 by phone about the pipe bombs, on or about September 28, 2024, UCE-1 and UCE-2 were with PHILIPPI while he was conducting reconnaissance of the substation,” the complaint states.

“PHILIPPI briefed the UCEs on potential lookout locations, egress routes, and camera locations.”

A few weeks later, Philippi told the undercover agents he wanted to participate in a “Nordic ritual”—something that’s often popular with neo-Nazi groups such as the Atomwaffen. Philippi said he never participated in such a ritual before, but “the UCEs told PHILIPPI they had previously participated in a Nordic ritual and offered to help set it up.”

As Philippi’s supposed plot progressed, he told the agents he was having trouble building the drone to use as a bomber. According to the criminal complaint, the FBI agents then gave him a drone to use.

Philippi is pictured test-flying the drone on Saturday in the FBI’s criminal complaint. Afterwards, “PHILIPPI and the UCEs returned to the hotel and began preparing for the attack,” the complaint states.

“PHILIPPI took possession of the explosives, which included approximately three pounds of C-4 (PHILIPPI believed the C-4 to be active). PHILIPPI read the instructions provided by the bombmaker on how to operate the explosive device”

Later that night, he and the undercover agents left their hotel to carry out the attack.

“Law-enforcement agents arrested PHILIPPI while he was preparing the drone and the explosives from the back of the vehicle,” the criminal complaint states.

Philippi is charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted destruction of an energy facility. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison.

Ex-MSNBC Host Blasts Biden Admin for Not Putting Trump on Trial Before Election Day

(Headline USA) Former MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan said this week that he would “never forgive” the Biden administration for not putting former President Donald Trump on trial before Election Day.

Hasan argued Trump should have been charged earlier and more aggressively for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill uprising.

“No matter who wins or loses on Tuesday, I will never not stop being mad at Joe Biden and Merrick Garland for allowing Trump to face the electorate this week without having seen the inside of a courtroom for his crimes on, and ahead of, January 6th,” he wrote on X. “Astonishing incompetence, caution, cowardice, and more from the top of the Democratic Party.”

Hasan believed Democrats should have been less worried about accusations from Trump and his supporters that they were weaponizing the government against the former president, and more worried about putting the former president behind bars.

Trump faced charges related to the Jan. 6 uprising, but that case was revised and delayed following the Supreme Court’s ruling that a president is immune from prosecution for official acts.

The new case against Trump, brought by special counsel Jack Smith, alleged Trump committed conspiracy to defraud the United States and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding.

Trump pleaded not guilty to all the charges, blasting Smith’s case as a witch hunt.

Trump’s lawyers had also sought to dismiss the case on the basis that Smith was illegally appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Another case brought by Smith against Trump, this one in regard to Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents, was thrown out of court for the same reason.

“Even if Smith is a valid officer, which he is not, he is a principal rather than an inferior officer and his appointment is plainly unconstitutional because he was never nominated by the President or confirmed by the Senate,” Trump’s attorneys wrote in a recent filing.

Kamala Refuses to Say How She Voted on Calif. Crime Crackdown

(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris refused to say how she voted on a California ballot initiative that would increase the sentences for certain crimes.

Harris was at a campaign stop in Detroit on Sunday, speaking about casting her vote.

“I actually just filled out my mail-in ballot,” Harris told supporters.

When a reporter asked how she voted in regard to Proposition 36, Harris shot the question down.

“I am not going to talk about the vote on that because honestly, it’s the Sunday before the election, and I don’t intend to create an endorsement one way or another around it,” she said.

Proposition 36 would increase the punishment for certain theft and drug crimes by designating them as felonies rather than misdemeanors.

It would also revise Proposition 47, an initiative passed in 2014 that reduced punishments for some crimes to reduce overcrowding in jails.

This isn’t the first time Harris has evaded questions about Proposition 36.

In October, Harris insisted she had not “voted yet” on the initiative because “I’ve actually not read it yet. But I’ll let you know.”

Democrats in California, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, came out against Proposition 36 despite the fact that a majority of Californians say they support it.

“It’s really drug policy reform that brings us back decades,” Newsom said this summer. “I’m very concerned about that.”

However, Harris was likely reluctant to join her fellow progressives on the matter so that she doesn’t appear weak on crime.

Former President Donald Trump has argued Harris’s soft-on-crime record speaks for itself.

Trump said the former San Francisco’s district attorney “wouldn’t arrest anybody,” including murderers.

Trump added she was equally as bad as a California senator.

Harris “support[ed] abolishing cash bail, which means bloodthirsty criminals that just killed somebody can immediately leave custody, go out and kill somebody else,” Trump continued.

Actor Will Ferrell Demands Male Voters Support Harris, Tells Them to ‘Shut the F**k Up’

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) Former Saturday Night Live comedian Will Ferrell continued his attempt to drum up male support for Vice President Kamala Harris’s dying presidential campaign over the weekend by threatening voters.

In an official Harris ad shared Sunday on YouTube, Ferrell said he would hold those who did not vote for Harris “personally responsible” if the Democrat loses.

“This election is going to be one of the closest in history,” Ferrell added. “Your vote will make the difference.”

The Anchorman actor then specifically called out a voter named Gary.

“‘Oh, blah blah blah, I’m just one person,'” Ferrell said, mocking the excuses that the prospective voter might make. “No—shut the f**k up, Gary.”

While the volatile persona may have seemed on-brand with many of Ferrell’s quircky characters, critics noted that the aggressive 30-second ad hit a little too close to home in mirroring some of the Harris campaign’s other efforts to coerce voters through fearmongering, making the comedy difficult to discern from reality.

“Democrats have now resorted to physically threatening people to vote for Kamala,” social-media influencer Paul Szypula wrote.

Others noted how his polarizing rhetoric made it difficult to continue to enjoy the modern Christmas classic where Ferrell played the lovable Buddy the Elf.

Ferrell previously joined comedian Billy Eichner for a segment dubbed “Loud White Men For Kamala Harris,” in which the two went around New York City in T-shirts with the slogan and attempted to convince potential voters to support Harris.

Ferrell was not the first actor to release a statement trying to discourage male support for former President Donald Trump.

Coming off of the success of his Beetlejuice sequel, actor Michael Keaton also singled out men in an Oct. 22 post to social media, saying they should not attend Trump rallies.

“They laugh at you behind your back,” Keaton claimed. “They think you’re stupid.”

Harris was well aware of her lack of male support, as she was captured on a hot mic with Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer when the two grabbed beers in late last month, according to Fox News.

“So, my thing is we need to move ground among men,” Harris told Whitmer, only to later realize the cameras picked up the audio.

NYTimes Tech Workers Go On Strike One Day Before the Election

(Headline USA) Hundreds of New York Times tech staffers walked off the job on Monday to go on strike, just one day before Election Day, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The publication’s Tech Guild announced the strike on Monday morning, saying its workers would start protesting outside the Times’s headquarters in Manhattan, New York until a deal is reached.

The 600-plus employees were a part of the Tech Guild and in charge of the Times’s backend systems, which power the publication’s extensive digital operations.

Without them on the job, the Times’s ability to effectively update and cover election results this week could be hampered.

The site’s famous “Election Needle,” for example, might not be available on Election Night for the first time in several years.

Kathy Zhang, the guild’s unit chair, hinted that the timing of the strike was intentional.

“They have left us no choice but to demonstrate the power of our labor on the picket line,” she said in a statement. “We stand ready to bargain and get this contract across the finish line.”

The New York Times chastised the union in a statement, urging the workers to put the paper’s coverage first.

“We’re in one of the most consequential periods of coverage for our readers and have robust plans in place to ensure that we are able to fulfill our mission and serve our readers,” said Times spokesperson Danielle Rhoades-Ha.

Rhoades-Ha added the Times was disappointed over the timing of the strike.

“While we respect the union’s right to engage in protected actions, we’re disappointed that colleagues would strike at this time,” she continued, “which is both unnecessary and at odds with our mission.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Times and the Tech Guild have been unable to reach an agreement on new protections for its tech workers, including a “just cause” provision that would prevent termination for reasons unrelated to misconduct.

Activists Expose Harris Supporters’ Hypocrisy over Open Borders

(Matthew Doarnberger, Headline USA) A group of young men pretending to be Kamala Harris supporters recently pulled a prank that has gone viral on social media.

The video started by showing two men with “Harris/Walz 24” shirts on.

A voiceover gave an introduction and explained what was about to happen throughout the clip.

“I dressed up like I work for Kamala’s campaign and now I’m going to deliver immigrants to her supporters,” the voice said.

The video then showed the man ring a doorbell of a house in a suburban neighborhood.

A woman answered and immediately stated she was already voting for Harris.

“We do have a surprise, if that’s OK, just real fast,” the fake Harris supporter said.

Then, four men got out of a parked car and approached the house. While all the men involved in the prank stood on the porch, their situation was explained to the woman who was now joined by her husband.

“We’re looking for a place for them to stay,” the prankster began. “They just came across. They’ll sleep on the floors.”

In an effort to decline the migrants, the husband replied by saying that the couple had a 2-year-old child.

“Hector is good with kids,” the comedian responded.

Regardless, the couple still declined.

The group of men then run into a woman on the sidewalk and explained to her how the migrants need a place to stay.

In an attempt to make her case for why they cannot stay with her, the woman said she has teenagers.

The man who made the video attempted to put her at ease, “Hector was dating a teenager a little bit ago.”

It is not apparent from the video that anyone accepted or even considered accepting the migrants onto their property.

The viral video sparked numerous reactions on X.

“These people have no clue as to what they’re supporting by voting for Harris,” one user wrote.

Others called out the hypocrisy of the Harris supporters.

The Biden-Harris administration allowed illegal immigration to reach record highs during their time in office.

‘Buy Me a Drink’: Republicans React to Biden Wanting to ‘Smack [Them] in the Ass’

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) While Republican reactions to President Joe Biden’s latest gaffe varied from bemused to repulsed, consensus seemed to be that the soon-to-be-82-year-old had delivered yet another gift to the Trump campaign—just days before Tuesday’s election, in which former President Donald Trump looks to oust incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris.

“He’s intentionally trying to hurt Harris and no one can convince me differently at this point,” said former View co-host Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late GOP Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

During a Harris–Walz campaign event Saturday in Scranton, Pa., Biden suggested he wanted to “smack” Trump and other Republicans “in the ass” after falsely claiming “macho guys” like Trump intended to implement policies that only benefited the wealthy.

Video of Biden calling for Republicans to get a good spanking instantly went viral, sending social-media users into a frenzy.

“In 1 week we were called Nazis, garbage, weak, and dumb and now the President is sharing his fantasy about using physical force,” wrote the popular Libs of TikTok in an X post.

Some condemned Biden’s comment as yet another call to violence from the leader, whose hostile rhetoric during his own failed campaign has been credited with fomenting the two public assassination attempts on Trump.

Others accused Biden of making light of sexual assault—a charge for which at least one credible allegation exists from his former Senate staffer Tara Reade.

However, with Trump appearing to be on the cusp of clinching the historic election after early votes showed significant advantages for him in key swing states, most took the president’s remark in stride.

“Now Joe Biden wants to smack guys in the ass… Im calling HR,” X user @19Goldstein wrote, along with laughing face, facepalm and clown emojis.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, joked that he would expect some sort of quid pro quo before letting Biden breach his personal bubble.

“Or at least buy me a drink first…,” he wrote.

Conservative pundit and influencer Nick Sortor chimed in that it sounded like something beta-male vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz might have said during his days as an assistant high-school football coach.

The bizarre comment came less than a week after Biden referred to Trump supporters as “garbage” during a Zoom call on Oct. 29 with Voto Latino.

Later in the same week, the president was caught biting several young children at a Halloween event.

Biden, who was forced off the campaign trail in July after top Democrat leaders threatened to invoke the 25th Amendment to have him declared unfit for office, quickly endorsed Harris, in what some saw as a move to pre-empt former President Barack Obama from annointing his campaign successor.

Since then, Biden has fueled speculation from both sides of the aisle that he might be secretly sabotaging the Democratic campaign—and might even have voted for Trump.

“Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his f*** you to all who pushed him out,” Democrat megadonor John Morgan said just days after the shock announcement. “Be careful what you wish for.”

Trump himself suggested, during his Sept. 10 debate against Harris, that he might have some insider information about Biden’s acrimonious rapport with his reluctant border czar.

“I’ll give you a little secret—he hates her,” the GOP nominee said.

Just a day later, Biden again made headlines for donning a red “Trump” hat during a Sept. 11 commemoration ceremony.

Axios reported on Oct. 27 that Harris had soft-blocked Biden from appearing on the campaign trail with her.

The Harris campaign repeatedly told Biden—whom they reportedly view as a “political liability”—that they would get back to him instead of directly telling him they did not want his help.

NYTimes Reveals Kamala Harris Refused Interviews about Gaza as Trump Calls for Peace

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) On the heels of Donald Trump publicly calling for peace in Gaza, the New York Times revealed Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris refused interview request about Israel’s war there.

Trump’s comments about Gaza came at a rally over the weekend in Dearborn, Michigan.

“It’s got to stop. We’ve got to really do something that makes everything come back to peace. What we want is peace. All over, we want peace,” Trump said in response to a question about Gaza.

Given the support among Democratic voters for Palestine, one might think that Harris would also be pushing for peace in the Middle East. But as the Biden-Harris administration continues to support Israel’s war there, NYT reported Monday that Harris won’t even discuss the topic.

According to NYT, media personality Kareem Rahma asked the Harris campaign to interview her about Gaza three times, but was refused.

“As a Muslim and an Arab, he objected to the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war in Gaza, which has killed more than 41,000 Palestinians — including many women and children — since Hamas’s attack on Israel last October, in which 1,200 people were killed and over 200 were kidnapped,” NYT reported.

“In three phone calls with Harris’s staff and the Democratic National Committee, he said, he had proposed raising the conflict with the vice president — perhaps at the end of the episode — but was rejected.”

There have been several reports in recent weeks that Trump wants Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a cease-fire deal in Gaza before he takes office in January.

In August, Axios reported that Trump called Netanyahu on August 14 to discuss the Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal. Netanyahu’s office has denied that any phone call took place or that ceasefire discussions took place.

Trump also said in a July interview with Fox News that Israel needs to end the war in Gaza as soon as possible and bring back the hostages.

Trump reportedly told Fox News the war should end fast “because they are getting decimated with this publicity, and you know Israel is not very good at public relations.”

Local Cop Recounts Firing at Crooks First in New Trump Shooting Documentary

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In a documentary released Friday on Fox Nation, Adams Township Police Department Sgt. Aaron Zaliponi spoke for the first time publicly about taking the first shot at would-be assassin Thomas Crooks at the July 13 Trump rally.

Zaliponi’s heroics were first revealed by Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., who identified him at a Sept. 26 congressional hearing. According to Higgins, Zaliponi’s shot may have hit Crooks’s rifle—which stopped him after eight shots, allowing the Secret Service to put the kill shot in him about 10 seconds later.

Crooks could have arguably shot 10 or more times if not for Zaliponi.

On the new Fox Nation documentary, Zaliponi, a member of the Butler ESU, recounted what he did to stop the Trump shooter.

“I fired the ninth shot. After the first volley, that’s when I was able to see Crooks up on the rooftop. At that point, I shouldered my rifle and engaged the threat. He immediately goes down—staggered, slumped over. There’s a very distinct movement: Based on my experience, he wasn’t retreating or getting out of the way,” he said.

“I knew I hit him and mortally wounded him. At that point, I could still see the top of his head moving around the roofline. As he slowly came back up, I was still on target, but not enough to engage yet. Once he got to about his mouth level, just as I was about to press the second round off, the Secret Service Hercules Unit engaged in that one shot,” he said.

While Zaliponi is convinced he hit Crooks, the medical examiner who conducted the autopsy on Crooks have both denied that Zaliponi hit the gunman. The FBI has also stated that it has “no forensic evidence indicating that [the round fired by the local officer] either struck our subject or the subject’s rifle.”

But in the Fox Nation documentary, Butler ESU Commander Ed Lenz noted the obvious: Crooks stopped shooting after Zaliponi returned fire, so his shot must have hit something.

“You don’t shoot ‘one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight—and then just stop,” Lenz said.
