Ukraine Sent Aid to U.S.-Designated Terrorists to Help Overthrow Syrian Gov’t

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Washington Post revealed this week that U.S.-backed Ukraine assisted the Syrian rebels in overthrowing their country’s government by sending them 20 drone operators and about 150 first-person-view drones to aid their rebellion.

According to the Post, Ukraine sent its operators and drones to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS, which is still classified by the U.S. as a terrorist group. As Headline USA detailed earlier this week, HTS is simply the new name for the group previously known as Al Nusra, which has deep links to al-Qaeda—the organization ostensibly responsible for 9/11. HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani also remains on a State Department terror watchlist, and there’s a $10 million bounty on his head.

The aid from Ukraine may have been a way for the Pentagon to back the rebels without violating their own sanctions. The Pentagon says it’s provided Ukraine with more than $65 billion, though Congress and the Biden administration have pledged much more than that.

While HTS may ostensibly be an enemy, the U.S. has notoriously aided its fighters since at least the early 2010s, when the CIA launched Operation Timber Sycamore—an Obama-era initiative to arm Syrian rebels. U.S. officials have justified supporting the rebels on the grounds that now-former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is a Russian ally.

The timing of the U.S.-backed overthrow of Assad has many, including Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., wondering whether the operation was coordinated out of DC.

“Whether it was led by the United States or whether we just encouraged it, the timing is definitely not a mistake. When you find a turtle on a fence post, it didn’t get there by accident,” Massie said in an interview Thursday.

“Remember, Tulsi Gabbard was in Congress, and she and I collaborated on a lot of these efforts to stop the U.S. meddling in Syria. And now she’s been named as the head of DNI. Well, I think that was the signal to the Deep State to go in for the kill and get this over with because Trump and some of his nominees… are not going to carry on the policies of Obama and the Deep State.”

Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden has pledged aid to the new regime in Syria.

“The United States will support them, including through humanitarian relief,” Biden said Sunday, celebrating Bashar al-Assad’s downfall.

Trump Reveals Ric Grenell’s Role in the Incoming Administration

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President-elect Donald Trump appeared to shut down leftist ridicule targeting conservative and America First firebrand Richard Grenell, who they claimed was snubbed for the incoming administration.

In a Truth Social post shared Wednesday, Trump described Grenell as a “fabulous person,” who “will be someplace, high up.” While Trump did not specify where Grenell would land, Reuters reported that he could be tapped as special envoy for Iran.

“He’s definitely in the running,” an anonymous source told Reuters. The post could be similar to that of John Kerry, who Biden tapped as climate envoy, a cabinet-level position housed within the Department of State.

Grenell shut down Reuters’ reporting via X, describing it as “Wrong. Again.” He added, “I hope there’s an actual editor somewhere at @Reuters who is doing journalism. This is made up.”

An anonymous source told Reuters that Grenell may be tasked with “speaking with countries in and beyond the region about the Iran issue as well as taking Tehran’s temperature on possible negotiations, said one of the people.”

Grenell is no stranger in MAGA circles, having served for nearly two years as Trump’s ambassador to Germany and then as special presidential envoy for Serbia and Kosovo Peace Negotiations. He served as the acting director of National Intelligence in 2020.

“Rick has represented our Country exceedingly well and I look forward to working with him,” Trump wrote on Feb. 19, 2020.

Grenell was allegedly rumored as a potential contender for secretary of state, a position given to Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who Trump considered as his running mate before settling with Sen. JD Vance.

Politico claimed Grenell declined to serve as Trump’s director of National Intelligence, seemingly eying a much more powerful position.

The same outlet attempted to tie Grenell to an alleged paid campaign promoting him as a potential secretary of state. Grenell dismissed the claim, scolding the Politico reporter as an “unserious gossip reporter,” asserting “none of this is true.”

Bennie Thompson Open to Preemptive Pardon for Corruption in Jan. 6 Investigation

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., would welcome with open arms a preemptive pardon from outgoing President Joe Biden for any crimes or offenses potentially committed during his chairmanship of the discredited Jan. 6 Committee.

Thompson made this affirmation during a Thursday interview on CNN Newsroom with host Jim Acosta when asked about the Biden White House’s active discussions on shielding him and disgraced former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., from criminal prosecution under President-elect Donald Trump’s second term.

“If he offers it to me or other members of the committee, I think I would accept it, but it’s his choice,” Thompson told Acosta regarding Biden’s pardon.

The Mississippi Democrat falsely claimed that no discrepancies or flaws had been found in the committee’s work, patting himself on the back for doing a “wonderful job.”

“There’s nothing in the record that’s not already on point,” Thompson said, conveniently ignoring damning reports from Republican investigators about the hyper-partisan committee.

He added, “We’ve had two years of review by Republican chairpersons. They found nothing wrong. So, there’s nothing that we kept out of the record. There’s nothing that we took out of the record. So, we stand by the work of the committee. Our committee did a wonderful job.”

Despite Thompson’s self-praise, the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight issued a bombshell report on March 11, 2024, exposing several blunders committed by anti-Trump zealots on the Jan. 6 Committee.

According to the 81-page report, the committee was “designed to promote a political narrative” and proceeded to delete records and hide evidence following the 2022 midterm elections, when Republicans regained a House majority.

Investigators recovered over 100 deleted or password-protected files, some of which were cunningly discarded before Republicans took power in January 2023.

“The American people deserve the entire truth about what caused the violent breach at the United States Capitol of January 6, 2021,” said Administration Subcommittee Chair Barry Loudermilk in a press release announcing the report.

“It is unfortunate the Select Committee succumbed to their political inclinations and chased false narratives instead of providing the important work of a genuine investigation. In my committee’s investigation, it is my objective to uncover the facts about January 6, without political bias or spin. My report today is just the beginning,” Loudermilk added.

U.S. Treasury Sec. Says ’Sorry’ for Ruining Economy

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, appointed by Joe Biden, recently apologized for ruining the American economy.

Fox News reported that Yellen apologized during the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit after Greg Ip, the Journal’s chief economic commentator, said that Biden and Yellen are leaving behind a significant budget deficit and asked whether she is sorry about not fixing the problem.

“Well, I am concerned about fiscal sustainability. And I am sorry that we haven’t made more progress. I believe that the deficit needs to be brought down, especially now that we’re in an environment of higher interest rates,” Yellen replied.

However, before the summit, Yellen was gaslighting Americans into thinking the U.S. economy was doing great.

“Today, the U.S. economy is in strong shape, with a robust labor market and solid economic growth. Tune in as I join @Greg_Ip at the @WSJ CEO Council Summit to discuss the economic progress we have made under the leadership of @POTUS and @VP,” Yellen wrote on Twitter.

Conservative pundits, including Zero Hedge, criticized Yellen for her recent comments and the fact that they would not fix the economy.

“US debt rose by $8.2 trillion while Yellen was Fed Chair or Vice Chair, and by $8.5 trillion while she was Treasury Secretary,” @zerohedge wrote. “In other words, Janet Yellen has personally overseen $16.7 trillion, or 46%, of all the debt increase in the history of the USA. But she is ‘sorry.'”

Other people, including Elon Musk, responded to Yellen’s recent comments by showing how shocked they were after hearing them.

“Wow,” Musk wrote.

Some people also said they would not accept Yellen’s apology after she ruined the American economy.

“Janet Yellen has apologized for overseeing the greatest intergenerational theft in American history. I don’t accept her apology,” former U.S. Senate candidate John E. Deaton wrote.

Others pointed out that Yellen’s apology was fake since she didn’t care about Americans struggling during the current Biden-Yellen economy.

“Those who mortgaged our future to reward themselves & their cronies in recent years have [three] words for us: ‘Oops, my bad,'” @menlobear wrote.

Meghan McCain also suggested that “history will not be kind to Janet Yellen.”

‘Wanted’ Posters of Murdered CEO Spotted in NYC

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) New Yorkers started noticing “Wanted” posters of companies’ CEOs in their city.

Among those CEO was UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was recently murdered on the streets of New York City.

The New York Post reported that the “Wanted” signs featuring a big red “X” over Thompson’s face were spotted on the corner of Canal Street and Centre Street in Lower Manhattan. The “X” indicated that Thompson was murdered.

The posters of other CEOs were seen on greed scaffolding on Wall Street.

The posters warned that “HEALTH CARE CEOS SHOULD NOT FEEL SAFE” and included “DENY… DEFEND… DEPOSE” — the three words that were allegedly found on the bullets shot by Luigi Mangione, who is accused of murdering Thompson outside a Midtown hotel last week.

The Post’s sources stated that the “hit lists” are a fear-mongering social media stunt to incite hysteria, especially among the CEOs featured on the posters.

The news source reported that the remaining posters on Canal Street were torn down by noon on Wednesday.

Independent journalists in New York City, like Oliya Scootercaster, also reported on the recent news, capturing the “Wanted” posters.

“SICK,” @Breaking911 wrote, responding to the posters that were seen all over Manhattan.

Others also stated that all leftists who want to see these CEOs murdered should be angry at Democrats instead.

“Doesn’t really make sense. Obamacare and ACA have raised insurance premiums. If they want to blame someone, blame the Democrats for health insurance being high,” @82ndairborneBT wrote.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, also responded to the recent news.

“A CEO is assassinated, and now ‘wanted’ posters are appearing across the country, targeting others simply for being successful. Someone even put up a highway sign calling for more murders. This isn’t just outrage—it’s mob mentality, and it’s tearing at the fabric of who we are as Americans,” he wrote.

Leftists like Jimmy Dore, however, decided to defend people on the Left after conservatives started accusing them of supporting the murder of these CEOs.

“What makes you think they’re Liberals? Sounds like you have a false narrative to push. This is one thing that brings the left and right together. You’re pushing propaganda to protect murderous insurance goons,” he wrote.

Meta, Amazon Founders Continue Sucking Up to Trump

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The founders of Meta and Amazon recently showed Americans that they are willing to continue sucking up to President-elect Donald Trump to be on his good side, which would benefit their businesses.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta had contributed $1 million to Trump’s 2024 inaugural fund, hoping his social media companies, including Facebook and Instagram, would prosper under the Trump administration.

It wasn’t the first time Zuckerberg tried to appear friendly to Trump. Right after Trump was almost assassinated in Butler, Pa., Zuckerberg had an interview with Bloomberg during which he claimed that the way Trump behaved after he was shot was “badass.”

“Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life,” Zuckerberg said. “On some level, as an American, it’s hard not to get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that’s why a lot of people like the guy,” the Meta executive added.

Additionally, before Election Day, Zuckerberg reportedly told Trump that he wouldn’t be voting for a Democrat, which, at that time, meant that he wouldn’t be voting for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Zuckerberg also had multiple meetings with Trump, including at Trump’s famous residence, Mar-a-Lago.

The New York Post also reported that Zuckerberg wanted an “active role” in sharing Trump’s technology policy during his second term.

Zuckerberg probably started to present himself positively to Trump after Trump warned Zuckerberg that he would put him behind bars if he interfered in the 2024 election.

Another billionaire who has been trying to suck up to Trump was Amazon’s founder, Jeff Bezos. On Thursday, Trump revealed that he and Bezos would meet next week, probably to discuss the future of Bezos’s companies under Trump’s presidency.

“Mark Zuckerberg has been over to see me, and I can tell you, Elon is another and Jeff Bezos is coming up next week. And I want to get ideas from them. Look, we want them to do well,” Trump said.

Bezos has been trying to present himself as a non-leftist billionaire, primarily via his newspaper, the Washington Post.

The Post’s leadership stated it wouldn’t endorse Harris for president right before the election. Additionally, Bezos said he wants to see more conservative writers working at the newspaper, defending his decision in an op-ed.

Bezos also said that he is optimistic about Trump’s upcoming administration.

Biden-Harris Official Subpoenaed for Sabotaging Probe Into Walz’s China Ties

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Congressional investigators on Wednesday subpoenaed a DHS official who allegedly failed to turn over crucial documents for the probe into failed vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

The House Oversight Committee summoned Biden DHS official Jacob Marx, who leads the agency’s Office of Legislative Affairs, to appear for a deposition related to whistleblower information about Walz’s “long-standing connection” to China, the Daily Caller reported.

The subpoena targeting Marx followed DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s failure to comply with an earlier request for information about DHS agents’ concerns regarding Walz and China.

According to whistleblowers, DHS agents shared comments about Walz’s connections to China in Microsoft Teams chat rooms.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said he “fully expects” Marx to “comply with our lawful subpoena and appear for a deposition,” according to remarks shared by the Caller.

“This is a serious national security threat and DHS’s failure to provide this Committee information on Governor Walz’s extensive ties to the CCP and their unwillingness to cooperate with this investigation in good faith is completely inexcusable,” Comer added.

The DHS Office of Legislative Affairs serves as the main liaison between the federal agency and Congress, responding to questions and investigations, such as the one involving Walz.

Walz’s ties to China resurfaced after outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris tapped him as her running mate in their failed 2024 presidential bid.

As reported by the Caller, the ties seemingly began when Walz, then a teacher, led several student trips to China, allegedly funded by the Chinese government.

“The Committee has also learned that further relevant information regarding Governor Walz has been memorialized in both classified and unclassified documents in the control of DHS,” Comer wrote in September to Mayorkas. “The attached subpoena requires DHS to produce these documents and communications regarding Governor Walz’s connections with the CCP.”

On Oct. 29, Comer sent a follow-up letter to DHS about its failure to comply with the September requests. The letter demanded DHS make Marx available for an interview by Nov. 4.

By December, with no action from DHS, Comer wrote, “DHS’s continued defiance is unacceptable, and its leadership’s pattern of ‘willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law’ and ‘knowing obstruct[ion] [of] lawful oversight’ is highly concerning given the national security implications uncovered during the Committee’s investigation.”

Legal Scholar Raises Concerns Over DOJ Hiding FBI Informants at Jan. 6

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Renowned legal scholar and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley sounded the alarm about the DOJ’s failure to disclose to Jan. 6 defendants that FBI informants were present in the U.S. Capitol that day in 2021, as detailed in a DOJ Inspector General report.

In a Thursday interview with Fox News host Martha MacCallum, Turley said the report raised “more questions than answers” about the FBI’s rumored role in inciting violence at the Capitol.

The law professor specifically such information would have been critical to defendants of the Jan. 6 protests who fell victim to the Biden DOJ’s aggressive prosecutions.

“In some ways, it raises more questions than answers. It does support Wray’s testimony that there were no undercover agents in the crowd,” Turley said, referring to FBI Director Christopher Wray.

“I think that for others, there is going to be a lot of concern as to what the sources were doing there,” he said, as reported first by the Daily Caller.

DOJ Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz revealed that at least 26 FBI confidential human sources (CHSs) were present among the crowd protesting the contentious 2020 presidential election results.

“Our review determined that none of these FBI CHSs was authorized by the FBI to enter the Capitol or a restricted area or to otherwise break the law on January 6, nor was any CHS directed by the FBI to encourage others to commit illegal acts on January 6,” Horowitz found.

Of the 26 agents, only three were summoned to the U.S. Capitol that day, Turley noted, before highlighting that FBI informants had previously been accused of inciting crimes.

“We’ve had cases in the past where the defense has argued that sources and agents have been extremely active in pushing people towards criminal conduct,” Turley said. “We saw those allegations raised in the Michigan case involving the governor there.”

The FBI’s potential role in inciting violence was highlighted in the “kidnapping” plot of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Two men indicted in the alleged plot were acquitted by a jury, while two others faced hung juries. The latter two were convicted in a retrial.

Turley argued that Jan. 6 defense attorneys would have used the FBI informants’ presence during the protests if they had known about it.

“I think that some defense attorneys may raise the question as [to] why they weren’t told, if they weren’t told about the confidential sources that might have been involved tangentially with their own cases, because usually defense counsel says we want to know what asset, what personnel the government had there. So there is going to be questions of that kind, that arise,” Turley said.

REPORT: New York Population Could Shrink by Millions in Coming Years

() New York’s population could decline by more than 2 million people over the next 25 years as fewer people are born in the state and more people move out, according to a new report.

The study by Cornell University’s Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy’s Program on Applied Demographics projects that New York faces a significant population decline due to low fertility rates and aging that has not been offset by new arrivals.

“The projections confirm what we have been seeing for some time, which is that if the demographic trends in the state do not change, its population will continue to decline,” Jan Vink, lead analyst for the study, said in a statement. “Conservative estimates suggest a population decrease of 1 million by 2050, but we think an even greater decline is more likely.”

Researchers found that the number of New Yorkers ages 0-17 is projected to drop between 10% and 25% over the next 25 years amid a decline in the number of births.

Meanwhile, the state’s population is projected to decline from the current 19.7 million to about 17 million by 2050, mostly through out-migration, the researchers said.

The study, which was partially funded by the state of New York, comes as Albany leaders have become increasingly concerned about out-migration from the state and its potential impact on the economy. Bills seeking to improve the state’s business sector and boost its competitiveness are expected to be filed in the upcoming legislative session.

“Policymakers want to know to what extent the crystal ball of demography can project the future of New York state’s population so they can plan for the future,” Cornell Population Center Director Matt Hall said.

Experts say New York’s outmigration has less to do with politics than it does with a lack of housing, prevailing wages and access to employment.

However, federal data show that the population decline has major implications for the state, as well as revenue and tax collections. New York lost more than $14.1 billion in state-adjusted gross income between 2021 and 2022 as residents fled to New Jersey, Florida and other low-tax states, according to the latest Internal Revenue Service data.

Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul has blamed a lack of housing as the primary reason New Yorkers are fleeing the state, making the case for expanding housing stock and making existing homes more affordable.

But Republicans have long argued that New York’s out-migration is being driven largely by the state’s highest-in-the-nation tax burden, a business sector struggling under excessive regulations and rising labor costs.

Other nanny-state policies have also contributed, including the oppressive COVID restrictions imposed under previous Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Meanwhile, high crime and immigration issues that have plagued New York City and the surrounding regions, while they may have helped stave off decreases in the population, have contributed both to the housing shortage and the lack of desirability.

Google Goes ‘Woke’ with ‘Nonbinary’ Influencer Ad

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) Google was met with backlash after releasing a “woke” Christmas ad featuring a nonbinary influencer wearing female clothing.

The ad featured TikTok star Cyrus Veyssi and had the influencer searching for skincare products through Google shopping.

“This winter dryness is not it,” Veyssi said. “Especially when I have so many holiday looks to pull off.”

Social media users were quick to slam the ad on social media.

British social-media influencer Oli London shared the video and called it “WOKE.”

“Google launches WOKE Christmas campaign featuring man wearing women’s clothing complaining about his skin,” London wrote.

Other users expressed how companies are out of touch with reality.

“Another out of touch company failing to read the room,” the user wrote. “Can’t avoid Google, but I don’t have too buy the products they pitch via woke garbage like this.”

Some wrote that they were going to switch to the search engine DuckDuckGo in protest of the ad.

Others compared it to when Anheuser-Busch partnered with controversial transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in 2023, causing a a widespread boycott and an over $1 billion loss in sales.

“Do they not remember the bud lite fiasco?” an X user questioned. “Help make them.”

Another questioned if the Big Tech company enlisted the help of former Bud Light staff.

“Did Google hire the former Bud Light marketing executive to do its new Christmas shopping campaign?” a user wrote.

A Google representative told Fox News Digital the post was just one in a series of partnerships with other influencers.

“To put it in perspective, this was a single sponsored Instagram post, representing a fraction of a percent of a much wider Google Shopping campaign,” the representative said.

In November, luxury car company Jaguar received backlash over its rebranding efforts, where it released an ad showcasing androgynous models and no cars.
