Market Conditions Update: Silver Is Pulling Back…. Could a Squeeze Still Drive Silver Prices to $50?

(Money Metals News Service) Although we are seeing a sharp price pullback this morning, gold and silver remain on bullish footing, especially after a notable 12-year breakout in silver over the past four trading days.

Analyst Jesse Colombo meticulously explains in his recent article posted at MoneyMetals.com why he believes a silver squeeze has only just begun – and he boldly suggests the white metal could even run all the way up to $50 per ounce within a few months.

Meanwhile, Money Metals gold sleuth Jan Nieuwenhuijs just uncovered some remarkable data that proves these recent rallies in gold were caused by new demand in the West. For more than two years previously, it had been Asian demand that fueled gold price advances.

This shift is highly significant because investors in the West have scant holdings of gold at present, but they have high potential buying power.

Be sure to check out Jan’s compelling charts and graphs. A picture is worth a thousand words!

Meanwhile, U.S. retail demand for coins, bars, and rounds has picked up – but so has selling by long-time holders. Money Metals is always happy to facilitate either buying or selling — offering compelling pricing and great service to our customers in either scenario.

Homeland Security Officials Holding ‘Tabletop Exercise’ on Election Day—in Atlanta

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Are you ready for the most secure election in American history—part 2?

Election-integrity activists sounded the alarm this week when it was revealed that federal, state and local Homeland Security officials will be convening in Atlanta for a “tabletop exercise” on Election Day.

VoterGA cofounder Garland Favorito noted the upcoming exercise on Twitter/X, asking why on earth officials chose to hold their event, the AFCEA Homeland Security Conference, the week of the election—especially in Georgia, where Donald Trump alleged that election fraud took place in 2020.

“What remote sites will the exercise access? What federal, state and local agencies will participate? Whose idea was it to have a cybersecurity threat exercise on Election Day in a key battleground state? Who is controlling the cybersecurity threat exercise?” Favorito asked.

“Why would key individuals be here instead of monitoring real threats on the very day when we are at the highest risk of attack?”

Favorito further drew the comparison to the exercise the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, held on Sept. 11, 2001. Though the official story is that the NORAD drill was cancelled immediately when the 9/11 attacks began, some speculate that the exercise diverted fighters that may have been able to respond to the hijacked planes.

Meanwhile, Georgia is set to use Dominion Voting Systems in the upcoming 2024 election, despite a forensic report showing cybersecurity flaws in Dominion’s voting machines. Georgia election officials said that the machines won’t be updated until after the 2024 elections because it’s such a massive undertaking.

Georgia’s voting machines already came under attack before voting even began. In April tech publication CyberScoop revealed that a cyberattack forced local government officials to sever their connection with the state’s voter registration system in none other than Coffee County. Part of Fulton County DA Fani Willis’s election integrity case stems from Coffee County, due to a team led by Trump lawyer Sidney Powell allegedly accessing election equipment there in January 2021 in an attempt to prove fraud.

Alabama State Sen. Tim Melson Named 2024’s “Sound Money Legislator of the Year”

(Jp Cortez, Money Metals Exchange) America’s top-rated national precious metals dealer and the nation’s preeminent sound money policy group are proud to announce Alabama state Senator Tim Melson as the 2024 “Sound Money Legislator of the Year.”

Money Metals Exchange and the Sound Money Defense League selected Senator Melson to receive this prestigious annual award for leading a successful campaign to end the capital gains tax on gold and silver coins, bars, and rounds in the Yellowhammer State in 2024.

Sen Tim Melson

Senate Bill 297, the Alabama Sound Money Tax Neutrality Act, removed this major tax penalty that had undermined citizens’ use of gold and silver as savings in the state.

This is not Senator Melson’s first successful campaign to promote sound money policies in Alabama.

Sen. Melson had previously championed a measure to remove the sales tax exemption on purchases of the metals back in 2018 with Senate Bill 156. In 2022, he sponsored Senate Bill 13, a measure that extended the expiration date of the sales tax exemption for another five years.

“I’m honored to receive this award,” said Senator Melson. “At a time of high inflation and uncertainty, sound money is more relevant than ever. Gold and silver have stood the test of time as reliable stores of value for thousands of years.”

Melson continued, “I’m proud to fight for policies that protect an individual’s right to use gold and silver as money. I will continue advocating for sound money in Alabama, ensuring that we create a more stable economy for everyone.”

Several other lawmakers also made key contributions to the national movement to advance sound money policies, thereby earning honorable mention as part of this year’s award.

Wisconsin state Representative Shae Sortwell and state Senator Duey Strobel passed critical legislation that eliminated sales taxes on purchases of precious metals, bringing the tally to 45 states in the country that have ended the unjust taxation on sound money.

Nebraska state Senator Ben Hansen also played a pivotal role in advancing sound money by sponsoring legislation to eliminate state capital gains taxes on precious metals and leading the charge to reject Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) in the Cornhusker State.

Sen. Hansen also helped combat and ultimately defeat legislation that would have reimposed a sales tax on purchases of gold and silver. His work has established Nebraska as a leader in sound money reform.

The scores earned by Alabama, Wisconsin, and Nebraska on the 2025 Sound Money Index improved as a result of the passage of these significant pieces of legislation.

The Sound Money Defense League and Money Metals Exchange celebrate the legislative accomplishments of these lawmakers, who continue to make strides in promoting sound money policies across the United States, and 2025 promises to bring forth even greater advancements.

Atlantic Promptly Debunked after Attempting Yet Another Trump Military Hit Piece

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The sister of slain soldier Vanessa Guillén slammed The Atlantic after it used anonymous sources to allege that President Donald Trump disparaged her after discovering the funeral expenses.

Guillén’s death at the hands of a fellow soldier and his girlfriend became national news in 2020, with Trump comforting the grief-stricken family and extending death benefits. He also offered to cover the costs personally if the Army did not pay for the funeral expenses.

The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, however, attempted to rewrite history on Tuesday, claiming that Trump was outraged when he learned that Guillén’s funeral, which included heightened security and closed streets, cost $60,000.

According to the magazine—relying on an anonymous source—Trump allegedly said, “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a fucking Mexican!” and ordered then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to deny payment.

Guillén’s sister, Mayra, issued a viral statement on X, condemning The Atlantic’s distorted portrayal of her experience with Trump.

“I don’t appreciate how you are exploiting my sister’s death for politics- hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members,” Mayra wrote on X, garnering over 3 million views.

“President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today,” Mayra added.

In another post, Mayra emphasized that her sister’s death should never be politicized. “Unbelievable,” she continued.

The denials did not stop there as Meadows took to X, refuting the allegations.

“Any suggestion that President Trump disparaged Ms. Guillen or refused to pay for her funeral expenses is absolutely false,” Meadows wrote. “He was nothing but kind, gracious, and wanted to make sure that the military and the U.S. government did right by Vanessa Guillen and her family.”

Meadows’s spokesperson, Ben Williamson, explicitly denied that Trump ever made the remarks in comments provided before publication. The Atlantic omitted these comments, claiming that Williamson denied ever hearing such remarks.

This marked the second instance of The Atlantic publishing demonstrably false claims against Trump. The magazine previously claimed that Trump refused to visit a veteran cemetery because he allegedly called fallen soldiers “suckers” and “losers.”

It was later revealed that the cemetery trip was canceled due to poor weather, which required Trump to travel by helicopter.

SHOCKER: China Prefers Kamala Over Trump

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Communist China recently proved once again that it would support Democrats after it was revealed that the regime would prefer Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris over Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“It’s a common view among Chinese experts that Harris means more continuity, at least in the first one or two years of her presidency,” Zhu Junwei, a former researcher in the People’s Liberation Army who is now director of American research at Grandview Institution in Beijing, told Bloomberg.

Junwei then said that Trump could be unpredictable, negatively affecting China.

“While Trump means a wider scope of possibilities, better or worse, with lots of surprises and potentially more trouble for China, the US itself and its allies, and even the whole world,” he added.

Morgan Finkelstein, national security spokeswoman for the Harris campaign, tried to save Harris’s reputation by saying she would be a great leader without proving his claim and adding that she “is clear-eyed about the threats posed by China, and as president, she will ensure the United States wins the competition for the 21st century.”

“She will stand up against China’s efforts to undermine global stability and prosperity,” he said. “She will work closely with our allies and partners to take on these challenges while also investing in our own sources of strength.”

However, Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, told Bloomberg that it would be the complete opposite.

“China is salivating at the thought of taking advantage of Kamala’s weakness and ineptitude,” he said.

Donald Trump Jr. also claimed that the reason why China would prefer Harris was because Harris is a communist who would be constantly collaborating with the communist regime.

“The Chinese Communist Party is rooting for Kamala Harris because they know she will kowtow to their interests,” he wrote on Twitter.

Conservative news sources previously reported that China has become more powerful under the Biden-Harris administration.

China was not the only dictatorial country that expressed its desire to see Harris in the White House. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously claimed that he would prefer Harris over Trump. Before Democrats replaced Joe Biden with Harris, Putin also endorsed Biden, claiming that he is “more experienced” and “predictable.”

Obama Revives COVID Talking Point Weeks Before 2024 Election

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Are Democrats already preparing excuses for a potential loss in the presidential election? Former President Barack Obama’s recent statements suggest they might be.

On Tuesday, Obama claimed that election results “will be tight” because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the U.S. nearly five years ago, reported the New York Post.

“Now we know this election is going to be tight. It’s going to be tight here in Wisconsin,” Obama said during a pro-Harris rally. “It’s going to be tight all across the country, and it’s going to be tight because a lot of Americans are still struggling.”

The former president—whose past remarks about black male voters sparked controversy—suggested that the nation’s financial struggles stem from the pandemic, not from the Biden-Harris administration.

“You know, as a country, we’ve been through a lot over the last few years. We forget sometimes a historic pandemic wreaked havoc on communities, on families, on businesses, and then disruptions from the pandemic caused price hikes,” he said.

Obama said the pandemic had put a “strain on family budgets,” prompting Americans to feel as if “no matter how hard they worked, they were just treading water.” He added, “So I understand why folks are looking to shake things up. I get it.”

These comments came less than two weeks after Obama faced backlash for what has been widely described as “patronizing” remarks about black voters, specifically accusing black men of rejecting Harris due to her gender.

On Oct. 11, Obama claimed that the “brothas” were not “feeling the idea of having a woman as president” and were using Harris’s shortcomings as vice president as an excuse, yet he cited no evidence to support these assertions.

These claims quickly angered black leaders, including leftist activist Nina Turner. Speaking on CNN, Turner criticized Obama’s comments: “Why are black men being lectured to? Why are black men being belittled in ways that no other voting group [has]?”

In a letter to the editor published by The Washington Post, one writer argued that the real reason Harris is struggling to gain black men’s support “is that the Biden administration has ignored and continues to ignore and avoid Black men’s needs.”

Trump May Sue CBS If Network Doesn’t Release Full Interview Transcript

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s legal team told CBS News on Monday that Trump is considering filing a lawsuit against the network if it doesn’t release the full transcript of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s 60 Minutes interview.

“Such manipulative editing was aimed at causing confusion among the electorate regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s abilities, intelligence and appeal,” Trump lawyer Edward Andrew Paltzik stated.

He then wrote that “news organizations such as CBS have a responsibility to accurately represent the truth of events” instead of distorting “an interview to try and make their preferred candidate appear coherent and decisive, which Harris most certainly is not.”

“Due to CBS’ actions, the public cannot distinguish which Kamala Harris they are seeing: the candidate or the puppet of a behind-the-scenes editor,” Paltzik wrote.

After that, the Trump team stated that the network must release the full transcript.

“The executives and producers at CBS, and 60 Minutes in particular, are unquestionably aware that the purpose behind editing the Interview was to confuse the electorate and portray the Vice President in a better light than a full, unedited transcript would reveal. Responsible news sources must be held accountable to the highest standards,” Paltzik stated.

It wasn’t the first time the Trump team demanded that the network be transparent. At the beginning of this month, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, criticized 60 Minutes.

“On Sunday, 60 Minutes teased Kamala’s highly-anticipated sit-down interview with one of her worst word salads to date, which received significant criticism on social media,” Leavitt wrote. “During the full interview on Monday evening, the word salad was deceptively edited to lessen Kamala’s idiotic response.”

She also demanded that CBS News release the full interview transcript.

“Why did 60 Minutes choose not to air Kamala’s full word salad, and what else did they choose not to air?” Leavitt wrote. “The American people deserve the full, unedited transcript from Kamala’s sit-down interview. We call upon 60 Minutes and CBS to release it.”

It was also reported that 60 Minutes gaslighted Americans by saying the interview was not selectively edited. The network also refused to release the transcript.

Dems Start Thinking Biden Was Better than Kamala

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Democrats knew that a senile and old Joe Biden would not be able to beat Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, so they orchestrated a coup and replaced him with Kamala Harris. Despite people voting for Biden during the primary election, Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee.

Now, after witnessing the disastrous Harris campaign and Trump skyrocketing in popularity among Americans nationwide, the same Democrats are questioning their decision, suggesting that Biden was a better candidate.

“No matter who wins, we have to ask: Would President Biden have been a better candidate and choice despite suffering from the effects of age and 81 years?” Harlan Ullman of The Hill wrote. “Further, suppose that the disastrous June 27 debate with Trump had not taken place, or that Biden had been firing on all cylinders that night. Would Biden have been forced to withdraw? And whether Harris loses or wins, some will ask whether Biden might still have been a better candidate.”

Ullman then pointed out that Trump is a successful entertainer who “seems to have unlimited endurance,” which people love, but Harris doesn’t have it.

Some conservatives on Twitter responded to whether Biden would’ve been a better candidate by citing Polymarket data.

“Sh** his pants on the debate stage and still polling better than Kamala. True story, Joe!” @TheOnlyDSC wrote.

Others mocked Democrats for their decision to replace Biden with Harris in hopes of a positive result.

Hot Air reported that the news came after it was discovered that Trump could win Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

As a result, Senate Democrats decided to distance themselves from the Democratic Party in general and Harris in particular. One of those people was Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa.

“There’s no party affiliation in Casey ads. I don’t recall seeing any that say ‘Democrat’ or anything like that. He’s running as an incumbent on his own record,” Berwood Yost, the Center for Public Opinion Research director at Franklin & Marshall College, told The Hill. “He’s trying to distance himself a little bit from an administration that is viewed negatively by the most part. He doesn’t want to be tied to that either through Biden or Harris.”

Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc., also distanced herself from Biden and Harris.

LA Times, Largest Kamala Hometown Paper, Refuses to Endorse Her

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Someone should do a wellness check for Vice President Kamala Harris—her hometown’s largest newspaper has refused to back her presidential candidacy just weeks before Americans head out to vote.

The Los Angeles Times editorial board announced it would not endorse Harris, breaking its religious streak of Democratic endorsements since Barack Obama’s 2008 election, Semafor reported on Tuesday.

The decision not to endorse any candidate in the 2024 election reportedly came from the newspaper’s billionaire owner, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong. He instructed LA Times Executive Editor Terry Tang to relay the decision to the staff, Semafor wrote.

A spokesperson for the newspaper declined to comment to Semafor: “We do not comment on internal discussions or decisions about editorials or endorsements.”

The decision dealt a major blow to the already shaky Harris campaign. The LA Times is California’s largest newspaper and one of the most widely circulated publications nationally, according to SF Gate.

On Sept. 10, the LA Times released a series of endorsements but notably avoided endorsing any presidential candidate for 2024, referring to the election only as “the most consequential election in a generation.”

The shocking move contradicted the LA Times’s past support of Harris, including endorsements for her 2010 and 2014 attorney general races and her 2016 Senate bid.

The LA Times’s decision follows similar rejections by traditionally Democratic-aligned groups like the Teamsters and the International Association of Fire Fighters, a point highlighted by the Trump campaign in a press statement.

“Everyone knows the Harris-Walz campaign is a sinking ship. Two more weeks until it’s submerged for good,” Trump’s team told Headline USA.

The LA Times’s snub couldn’t have come at a worse time for Harris.

On Tuesday, NBC News reported concerns from her campaign officials about potential cracks in the “blue wall” states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Filmmaker Spike Lee Hysterical: ‘Doomsday’ If Trump Wins

(Chris Cella Jr., Headline USA) Controversial filmmaker Spike Lee warned MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Monday that a second Trump presidency would lead to a “doomsday” scenario and declared the upcoming election a matter of “life and death.”

The Jungle Fever director was the latest figure trotted out by the Left in a desperate bid to salvage black voters through any means necessary, as even former President Barack Obama acknowledged that the “brothas” were not supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, and some, like comedian Eddie Griffin, have observed Trump’s ability to connect with the minority community long taken for granted by Democrat elites.

As a last resort, they are turning back to the same scaremongering and heated rhetoric that President Joe Biden attempted to use prior to the July 13 assassination attempt against Trump.

Some fear the radical Left may refuse to accept the outcome, even if Trump wins in a landslide, and that they may incite violence similar to the George Floyd riots that were a precursor to the 2020 election.

On Melber’s The Beat, Lee, cited Trump’s recent comments to a Christian group that “In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have fixed it so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”

Referring to Trump as “Agent Orange,” he claimed Trump would eliminate elections if reelected.

“This guy is saying exactly what he wants to do if he becomes president. He said there should be no more elections,” Lee claimed.

“I don’t know how people can be true Americans and just go along with that path; it would be a doomsday,” he continued. “This could be the most important presidential election in history. It’s not a joke; it’s like life and death.”

Lee also urged black voters “drinking that Trump Kool-Aid,” to vote for  Harris.

Lee is not alone in using alarmist rhetoric.

Earlier this year, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow claimed Trump offered “strongman leadership” and threatened the end of elections.

Many other members of the media and Hollywood elite have expressed feigned moral outrage about another potential Trump presidency.

Lee has repeatedly used his platform to criticize Trump.

In a 2019 Academy Award speech, Lee urged voters to choose “love versus hate.”

In 2021, Lee asserted that “President Agent Orange will go down in history with the likes of Hitler.”

Lee is not the first member of the Hollywood elite to compare Trump to Hiter, and in all likelihood, he won’t be the last.
