Eerily Symbolic: Treasury Seal Falls Off Podium as Yellen Fields Question About the Dollar’s Status

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) The universe seems to know the dollar is in trouble. During a recent news conference, a reporter asked Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, “How concerned are you about the potential impact of the dollar’s status as the world reserve currency?”

Before the reporter could finish the question, the Treasury Department seal fell off the podium and hit the floor with a loud series of thuds.

It was an eerily symbolic moment.

As one commenter on X put it, “Even the Treasury sign is giving up.”

Danger for the Dollar

While the dollar isn’t in any immediate danger of losing its status as the reserve currency, its dominance is slowly bleeding away.

Dollar reserves globally have dropped by 14 percent since 2002, and de-dollarization accelerated after the U.S. and her Western allies aggressively sanctioned Russia.

Two primary U.S. policies are undercutting the dollar.

First, the weaponization of the dollar is making many countries wary of holding them.

In simple terms, the U.S. and its allies have used the dollar as a hammer in attempts to bend other countries to its foreign policy will. This is most evident in the aggressive sanctioning of Russia, including locking the country out of the SWIFT payment system in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine.

As an Atlantic Council report put it, “In recent years, and especially since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the Group of Seven (G7)’s subsequent escalation in the use of financial sanctions, some countries have been signaling their intention to diversify away from dollars.”

Whether you think the sanctions were justified or not, it’s important to remember that other countries are watching how the U.S. behaves. They realize that dependence on dollars makes them vulnerable to U.S. meddling, and this is one of the reasons many countries are trying to diversify away from USD.

Think about it — if you are concerned that the U.S. could pull the “dollar rug” out from under you, why not get that rug out of your living room before that can happen?

This appears to be what is slowly happening.

According to a 2023 Invesco survey, a “substantial percentage” of central banks expressed concern about how the U.S. and its allies froze nearly half of Russia’s $650 billion gold and forex reserves.

Second, U.S. fiscal irresponsibility is eroding global confidence in the dollar.

After all, if the U.S. is going to keep printing money and devaluing the dollar, why would you want to hold them? Furthermore, America’s incessant borrowing and spending is undermining its credibility as a good credit risk.

The Biden administration just ran the third-largest budget deficit in history.

This is the kind of borrowing and spending one would expect during an economic crisis. The only bigger annual budget deficits both occurred during the COVID lockdown era. And yet here we are, in what is supposed to be a “robust” economy, with a crisis-like budget deficit.

Meanwhile, Uncle Sam paid $1.13 trillion in interest expense in fiscal 2023. It was the first time interest expense has ever eclipsed $1 trillion. The federal government paid more for interest expenses than it did for national defense or Medicare!

This doesn’t exactly scream “trustworthy borrower.”

If the United States continues to borrow and spend at this irresponsible level, eventually countries will stop lending it money.

We’re already seeing lagging demand in the Treasury market as evidenced by increasing yields despite the recent Federal Reserve rate cut.

Ramifications for the U.S. Economy

The U.S. has benefited tremendously from the privilege of issuing the reserve currency. Because the world needs dollars, the U.S. has been able to print money with minimal consequences. Global demand for dollars soaks up a lot of the excess. This has allowed the federal government to borrow and spend at a far higher rate than it otherwise could have. This supports the massive welfare and warfare states.

A de-dollarization of the world economy would cause the value of the U.S. currency to crash and likely spark a currency crisis. This would further erode the purchasing power of the dollar and drive prices even higher. It could even lead to hyperinflation.

Even a modest decrease in the use of the dollar could begin to undermine the strength of the currency. This could lead to a downward spiral with dollar weakness further undermining confidence in the greenback.

The dollar is in trouble. You know it. I know it. And apparently, the universe knows it.

America Last: U.S. Missile Stock Running Low Due to Biden-Harris Proxy Wars

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that the U.S. is running low on air-defense missiles because the Biden-Harris administration is giving them to Israel, Ukraine and other “allies.”

“Interceptors are fast becoming the most sought-after ordnance during the widening crisis in the Middle East, as Israel and other U.S. allies face an increasing threat from missiles and drones fired by Iran and the militias it supports,” WSJ reported.

“The shortfall could become even more urgent after Israel’s Friday night strikes on Iran, which U.S. officials fear might spark another wave of attacks by Tehran.”

According to WSJ, the U.S. has launched more than 100 “Standard Missiles” at a price tag of some $1.8 billion since Hamas’s attack on Israel last October.

In the most recent Iranian strikes, the U.S. and Israel even “let through some of the 180 Iranian missiles that they knew wouldn’t strike valuable sites to preserve its stock of interceptors,” WSJ reported Tuesday.

Military contractor RTX, which produces the Standard Missiles, can reportedly make several hundred of them per year. But many of those go to 14 other allies, WSJ reported.

Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro has called for an increased production in Standard Missiles. However, “Increasing production of weapons has proved difficult for the Pentagon, since it often requires that companies open new production lines, expand facilities and hire additional workers,” WSJ noted in its Tuesday report.

“Companies are often reluctant to invest in that expansion without knowing that the Pentagon is committing to buying at increased levels over the long term.”

Officials are now warning that the U.S. won’t be able to counter Chinese influence in the Pacific if it keeps depleting its munitions.

“We’re spending a year’s worth of Standard Missiles—those are standard missiles that are supposed to be part of rearming ourselves for China,” Mark Montgomery, a retired rear admiral and now a senior director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told WSJ.

“So, 100%, we have, once again in the Middle East, set back Navy readiness to execute operations in the Pacific.”

Meanwhile, the Middle East conflict has expanded to include at least 16 countries: Israel, Iran, the U.S., the UK, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Djibouti and Lebanon.

WATCH: RFK Jr. Explains Plan for Reforming the CIA

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Former President John F. Kennedy threatened to “splinter [the CIA] into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds” before he was assassinated in 1963. JFK’s nephew, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., wants something perhaps less dramatic.

In a Trump campaign event with Tulsi Gabbard on Saturday, RFK explained his idea for reforming the CIA. According to him, reforming the CIA is as simple as splintering the “espionage” and “plans” divisions, which handle matters of intelligence and paramilitary operations, respectively. Those divisions are referred to today as the Directorate of Intelligence and Directorate of Operations.

RFK said the two divisions need to be reorganized so the intelligence/espionage area has oversight of the paramilitary operations. He said his father had a similar plan when he was Attorney General.

“My father had a reform plan … Break up espionage division from the plans division, which is paramilitary division that fixes elections, buys newspapers, assassinates foreign leaders and so on,” he said.

“I would break up those divisions and … put espionage division oversight of plans division.”

Such a plan may seem tepid for a man who’s accused the CIA of being involved in the murder of his uncle. But RFK’s been surprisingly cordial with the agency. His daughter-in-law and campaign manager, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, was a CIA officer for 10 years.

RFK also revealed at Saturday’s campaign event in North Carolina that he had dinner with former Trump-era CIA Director Mike Pompeo. RFK called Pompeo a “neocon” and said he disagreed with him on many policies, but also said he admired him, calling the former agency director brilliant.

RFK said Pompeo told him that “The worst mistake of my public lie was not fixing CIA. I could have but I didn’t do it.”

“The entire upper echelon of that agency is made of individuals who don’t believe in the institutions of the United States of America,” RFK said.

Indian Silver Demand Drives Record Prices

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) Indian silver demand has spiked, driving the price to record levels in rupee terms.

There is a perception that silver has lagged gold despite a price increase of around 35 percent on the year in dollar terms. The fact that silver remains well below its record high, even as gold has set multiple records in recent months, drives this feeling.

But if you look at the trajectory of silver from an Indian perspective, it doesn’t seem like such a laggard.

On Oct. 23, silver briefly eclipsed the ₹100,000 per ounce level before settling around a record high of around ₹97,000.

Notably, this rally occurred after the Indian government cut taxes on gold and silver imports by more than half, lowering duties from 15 percent to 6 percent.

According to Metals Focus, the market responded favorably to both the import duty cut and its timing right before the festive wedding season.

Silverware sales seemed to benefit the most.

“Our discussions with the trade suggested that silverware demand was subdued beforehand, given that these articles are mainly used for gifting and so high prices acted as a deterrent. However, the price correction, post-duty-cut, saw this area of Indian silver demand return quite significantly.”

Improving rural consumption also boosted Indian silver demand. According to Metals Focus, rebounding silver sales in the countryside reflect a general improvement in the rural Indian economy.

“For instance, two-wheeler sales grew by 13 percent y/y in Q3. More importantly, cumulative sales from April to September surpassed 10m units for the first time since 2019, indicating a return to normalcy.”

A good monsoon season is expected to boost crop yields this year, pumping more money into the rural economy. This will likely drive stronger demand for both gold and silver.

Rural silver consumption accounts for around two-thirds of total Indian demand.

Record gold prices also boosted silver demand in India, particularly silver jewelry sales.

“Anecdotally, several of our contacts have suggested that many low-income consumers have opted for silver, or gold-plated silver jewelry, in response to the record high gold price in India.”

You can see the increase in demand reflected by a spike in silver imports. India received 948 tons of silver in September, and silver imports totaled 2,548 tons in Q3, a 572 percent year-on-year increase. Through the first nine months of 2024, silver imports totaled 7,079 tons, an eightfold increase over last year.

The question is how will record prices impact silver demand moving forward. There is some evidence that since the price increase has effectively wiped out the benefit of the lower import duty; silver sales are beginning to cool. However, some bullish demand dynamics remain in play.

Diwali (the Hindu festival of lights) falls on Oct. 31 this year. This is an auspicious time to buy metal and an important season for both gold and silver demand. Metals Focus said it remains unclear exactly how record silver prices will impact sales.

“We expect sales volumes to be undermined even as footfall matches that of previous years, due to the price impact as consumers are likely to prefer lighter weight jewelry and silverware. That said, as mentioned earlier, the high gold price could potentially lead to a positive spillover for silver, especially for the gold-plated silver jewelry segment.”

Meanwhile, with prices hitting record levels, investment interest in silver has remained strong.

Over the last decade, investors have accumulated over 17,500 tons of silver in the form of coins and bars. Many analysts thought rising prices would motivate Indian investors to liquidate their extensive silver holdings. However, according to Metals Focus, selling has been “trivial,” even as the price eclipsed ₹100,000.

“Our research suggests that investors are still accumulating physical silver to participate in the bull run. This is primarily driven by still positive price expectations.”

We also see silver investment demand reflected in silver ETFs. Silver holdings by Indian-based funds climbed above 1,000 tons in August.

On the other side of the equation, silver supply remains constrained. Globally, silver has charted a market deficit for three straight years, and demand is expected to outstrip supply again in 2024 due to record industrial offtake and lagging silver mine output.

And according to Metals Focus, there doesn’t appear to be a strong market for silver scrap to help ease the supply constraints.

“While there has been a rise in the share of jewelry that is exchanged, outright sales of old jewelry are still very low indicating positive consumer price expectations.”

Looking ahead, higher prices will likely create headwinds for silver demand in India, but there are plenty of bullish factors to offset the effect.

Trump Unveils Heart-Wrenching Ad of Jocelyn Nungaray’s Mother Rebuking Kamala

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Donald Trump released Monday a heart-wrenching campaign ad featuring the mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, the 12-year-old sexually assaulted and brutally murdered by two illegal aliens.

Jocelyn went missing earlier this year after stepping out of her home to buy drinks at a nearby gas station in Houston, Texas.

The child was lured by two Venezuelan men who bound her arms and legs, sexually assaulted her, strangled her to death and dumped her body in a ditch.

In the ad, Alexis Nungaray, Jocelyn’s mother, recounted how Vice President Kamala Harris, once anointed as the border czar, failed to protect her daughter by allowing the two men to remain in the U.S. through so-called paroles.

“Kamala Harris was in charge of immigration in our borders. If we had better border policies and not open borders and not these catch-and-release policies, I truly believe this all could have been prevented,” Alexis said.

The three-minute-long video has gained viral attention on X, garnering over 12.5 million

“Under her being vice-president of this country, my daughter’s life was ripped away from her. She had her entire life ahead of her. My daughter is 6 feet in the ground, based off of policies that she allowed to keep,” Alexis added.

The grief-stricken mother said Harris had one job: protecting her 12-year-old daughter. “She failed my daughter. She failed Jocelyn. She was only 12,” the mother remarked.

The ad’s release comes as the Nungaray family continues to raise awareness about the dangers of open-border policies.

Alexis herself has joined several news interviews to pay tribute to her daughter and to prevent other children from suffering the same fate.

“President Trump reached out [and] gave me his sincerest condolences as not a former president but just as a father, someone who cares,” she continued. “I believe Donald Trump needs to be back in office so I can at least know that my next child will be safe in this country.”

Jeff Bezos Wants More Conservative Writers at WaPo

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Times are changing.

The New York Post reported that Jeff Bezos, the owner of the Washington Post, mandated the far-left newspaper to add more conservative voices to its opinion section.

The news source also noted that Bezos has yet to release a public statement regarding the newspaper’s decision not to endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Some conservatives responded to the recent news, assuming that Bezos secretly supports Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“Jeff Bezos: Second Richest MAGA Guy,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., wrote.

Other people on Twitter agreed.

“Guy started working out, and his brain became more conservative. It happens,” Austin Rogers of Pulse of Michigan wrote.

Conservative activist Oli London also praised Bezos for telling the leftists at the Post to allow conservatives to express their perspectives.

“Based Bezos,” London wrote.

However, other conservatives pointed out that Bezos is a businessman who wants people to read his newspaper, which the Post has been struggling with for a while.

“Oh, look. Bezos actually wants somebody to read his paper! What a novel idea,” Not the Bee responded to the news.

Some conservatives also noted that Bezos would continue allowing leftists at the Post to push their political beliefs down everybody’s throat if not for the different political climate, which would continue to change rapidly after Trump wins the 2024 election.

“Anyone who thinks Bezos has flipped is an idiot. He is a survivor, sucking the teet of whoever will get him the most money and power,” self-described “grumpy American cartoonist” George Alexopoulous wrote.

The recent news about bringing conservative opinion writers to the Post’s team came after the newspaper’s leadership announced that they won’t be endorsing any presidential candidate. Considering that the newspaper has consistently endorsed Democrats since 1928 (with a few exceptions), the paper not endorsing anyone looked like the refusal to endorse Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Biden May Have Voted for Trump

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Joe Biden’s recent vote for president could be the final nail in the coffin of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s campaign.

Some people joked about Biden voting by claiming that this video is proof of dead people voting in the 2024 election.

However, others assumed that Biden voted for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump because he doesn’t like Harris.

“Biden just voted early in Delaware. The question is, who did Our Boy Blue REALLY vote for?” the Daily Noah News wrote.

Trump War Room also asked Trump supporters who they think Biden voted for, and people in the comments section overwhelmingly claimed that Biden voted for Trump.

Chairman of X Strategies LLC Derek Utley also wrote on Twitter that Biden voted for Trump.

So many conservatives assumed that Biden may have voted for Trump because Biden was angry about the Democratic Party removing him from the 2024 presidential race and replacing him with Harris.

In September 2024, Biden wore a Make America Great Again hat while visiting a Pennsylvania fire department.

“I’m proud of you now, you old fart!” the owner of the hat jokingly said after Biden put it on his head.

After the incident, the White House tried to do something about it by claiming that Biden wore the hat only briefly to heal the division in the United States between Democrats and Republicans.

“As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it,” White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said.

However, it wasn’t true. Later that day, Biden was filmed getting on his plane while holding his red Make America Great Again hat, probably as a way to sabotage Harris’s campaign.

Biden also sabotaged Harris’s campaign by praising Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and constantly reminding Americans that Harris is a part of the current administration and its “accomplishments,” even though Harris’s team tried to do the opposite.

Trump May Win Popular Vote

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Something interesting may happen.

Multiple news sources and pollsters admitted that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump could win the popular vote in the 2024 election.

As of Oct. 26, Real Clear Politics indicated that Trump is leading the popular vote for the first time in his political career.

Assistant News Director of Florida’s Voice Eric Daugherty also reported that Trump is now leading the popular vote.

“Donald Trump LEADS THE POPULAR VOTE for the first time in his political career heading into an election. Trump trailed by over 2 points at the start of October,” he wrote.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump leads the popular vote by three percentage points.

Even CNN needed to admit that it was true and that Trump could win the popular vote. The leftist network also pointed out that the last Republican who won the popular vote was George W. Bush in 2004.

After seeing these results, it is unsurprising that Trump is so confident about winning New York State and New York City, for example.

Trump recently told Breitbart that he believes he could win New York.

“We want to get everybody out [to vote] because we think we could actually win New York,” Trump said. “We’re leading, as you know, in all the swing states, and I think we’re leading potentially very big. We set a record in early voting, and a lot of them were voters that don’t vote that much, which is pretty amazing.”

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., recently revealed that Trump is dominating New York swing districts that Biden “won by 15 points,” as reported by the Daily Caller.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., also said there is a high chance of Trump winning New York this election.

As a cherry on top, the recent poll by the New York Times and Sienna College revealed really bad news for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

The recent news came after Trump’s huge rally at Madison Square Garden, tickets to which were sold out in less than three hours.

Conservative New Yorkers also expressed their support by visiting Trump’s rallies in the Bronx and Long Island.

Kamala Strips Down in Interview w/ Host Behind Notorious Sex Livestream

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with Shannon Sharpe, an infamous podcaster and sports commentator who just weeks ago came under fire for “accidentally” streaming himself in a compromising situation.

Harris’s decision to appear on Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast seemed part of her last-ditch effort to shore up support among Black male voters. This a voting bloc that has traditionally leaned Democratic but has shown little interest in backing Harris.

The hour-long interview was released Monday, less than two months after Sharpe mistakenly broadcast audio of himself via Instagram having sex with a woman. “Papa, I love you,” the woman groaned, while a heavily breathing Sharpe responded, “Yes, baby!”

Sharpe later addressed the incident, claiming he was unaware his phone had begun broadcasting before the encounter. “Obviously, I’m embarrassed,” he said on an episode of his second podcast, Nightcap.

During her conversation with Sharpe, Harris warned Black men that if Trump is elected, their constitutional rights are in jeopardy—a familiar Democratic talking point. Notably, she offered no evidence to substantiate these claims. Sharpe did not ask for evidence either.

Sharpe asked, “Blacks for Trump—they feel that Trump is better for the black community. Can you explain that?”

In a long-winded and rambling response, Harris said, “The question for everybody, should he be president of the United States? Right? That’s the question. Should he have the ability to sit behind the seal of the president of the United States when he says he wants to terminate the Constitution of the United States?”

She added, “You know what that would mean in the Constitution is your Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure. Your Fifth Amendment right. Your Sixth Amendment right to an attorney. … But the First Amendment. The Second Amendment. I’m in favor of the Second Amendment. I don’t believe we should be taking anybody’s guns away.”

Under the Red Curtain: Tim Walz Accused of Affair with Chinese Official’s Daughter

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has been accused of “sleazy” behavior during an alleged secret affair with the daughter of a prominent Chinese Communist Party official, the Daily Mail reported on Monday.

The alleged affair reportedly took place in 1989 when Walz was working as a teacher in China—a time when relationships with Westerners were considered a disgrace by the Chinese government.

Jenna Wang, the woman at the center of the scandal, told the Mail that Walz showered her with affection before ultimately dumping her and making her feel “like a prostitute.” She was 24 years old at the time.

Wang said Walz brushed her off when she tried to discuss their future, allegedly accusing her of only wanting a U.S. passport. “This was very offensive. I said to him that it is both or nothing,” said Wang, now 59.

“I wasn’t giving up my life and my position to move to Nebraska, a cold place in the middle of nowhere that most Chinese people had never heard of,” Wang added. “Knowing now that he wasn’t going to marry me made me feel cheap and common, as if I was being treated like a prostitute.”

She alleged that she and Walz were “deeply in love,” leading her to believe they would marry and start a family, but when that did not happen, she felt “very unhappy and sad.”

Wang called Walz’s behavior toward her as “selfish.”

According to the Mail, she recalled Walz being romantic toward the beginning of the fling.

“Tim was very passionate and very romantic,” Wang added. “I can still remember dancing with him to our favorite song, Careless Whisper. The fact we couldn’t touch or kiss in public just made it all the more exciting and intense when we were finally alone.”

The Mail reported that Wang was an English teacher in China when she first met Walz. To improve her English, Wang attended one of Walz’s lectures, where he reportedly complimented her, saying, “You are very beautiful.”

Wang reciprocated, saying she found Walz, then 25, “very handsome.” She continued, “I loved his eyes and his big mouth. We talked afterward and he was very complimentary about my English.”

Walz went on to meet and marry his current wife, Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz.

The affair and Walz’s alleged behavior contrast sharply with his current pro-women image promoted by the Harris campaign.

This is not surprising, given that Harris’s husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, has been celebrated by MSNBC’s Jen Psaki for reshaping the “perception of masculinity.”

But Emhoff’s record is far different, allegedly cheating on his first wife with their daughter’s nanny, who reportedly became pregnant as a result. A few years later, Emhoff allegedly slapped his then-girlfriend at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012.
