Did Kamala Harris Lie About ‘Call Her Daddy’ Podcast’s Cost to the FEC?

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper has disputed reports claiming Vice President Kamala Harris’s appearance on the controversial podcast cost six figures.

The Washington Examiner first reported the six-figure claim on November 8, citing a “source familiar” with the Harris campaign’s finances.

Cooper denied this during a Thursday interview with journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin at The New York Times DealBook Summit.

“There’s a little bit of controversy about that podcast,” Sorkin began, asking if the interview’s set really cost “like $100,000.”

In response, Cooper described the reports as “hilarious” and “not true.”

She added, “My studio that is gorgeous in Los Angeles doesn’t even cost six figures so I don’t know how cardboard walls could cost six figures.”

Sorkin pressed further: “But do you think they did?”

“Absolutely not!” Cooper retorted. “With love to them. Oh my God. It was gorgeous but like it wasn’t that nice. it wasn’t like gorgeous marble—no, that was not six figures.”

The Examiner is a widely respected conservative publication known for its rigorous editorial standards.

Given both the outlet’s credibility and Cooper’s comments, questions may arise about whether the Harris campaign misreported the cost to the Federal Election Commission.

While The Examiner did not cite FEC’s filings to verify the expenditure, any misrepresentations of the podcast’s actual cost by the Harris campaign could result in potential violations of FEC rules.

Harris’s appearance on the podcast was controversial, considering the show’s provocative topics, including sex, and its provocative “Daddy” name. What’s more, Cooper did not challenge any of Harris’s talking points made during the interview.

The outgoing vice president’s decision to appear on Call Her Daddy drew widespread backlash on X, as at the time, thousands of Americans faced the deadly effects of Hurricane Helene.

Days later, reports emerged online that Harris refused to appear on The Joe Rogan Experience with host Joe Rogan.

“This should be career ending,” one user wrote on X, referring to the podcast’s taping’s timing.

Another user added, “220 people have died in Hurricane Helene while people still can’t get supplies and the current veep went on call her daddy.”

Conquered: Muhammad Becomes Most Popular Boy’s Name in U.K.

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently reported that people in the United Kingdom are now more likely to name their baby boys “Muhammad,” with many conservatives claiming that this is a sign of the country being conquered by Muslims.

The Telegraph reported that the Office of National Statistics’s data indicated that “Muhammad,” the name of the Islamic prophet, is now the most popular name for baby boys in the U.K., overtaking Noah, a Christian name.

“Mohammad was also the top boy’s name with its many spellings back in 2021 in four of nine regions,” the news source stated. “Noah came in second, with Oliver third. Muhammad was the second most popular boys’ name in 2022 and has been in the top 10 since 2016.”

The Telegraph also claimed that “there were 4,661 Muhammads born across England and Wales” in 2023, “up from 4,177 in 2022,” adding that “only 4,382 Noahs [who] were born in 2023, down from 4,586 the previous year.”

The Gateway Pundit also reported that there are way more people now named “Muhammad” in the U.K. because there are at least 14 different spellings of the name.

“We are being replaced,” Turning Point U.K. wrote.

Christian apologist and debater David Woods, who became famous for opposing Islam, also sarcastically criticized the British politicians for allowing this to happen.

“Great job, British politicians! ‘Muhammad’ is FINALLY the most popular baby name in England and Wales! With so many babies named after a man who called Jews and Christians ‘the worst of creatures’ (Quran 98:6) and who ordered his followers to violently subjugate Jews and Christians (Quran 9:29), England and Wales have a very bright future!” he wrote.

Others blamed the voters in the U.K. as well, claiming that because of them, “the U.K. is now an Islamic state.”

“Sure, they are young, but roll forward 20 years, and Islam will shape every aspect of U.K. life. You all voted for it, so don’t complain later when things like state education and all government policy are driven by Islam,” @LeoMars75 wrote.

Conservative British journalist Tommy Robinson also responded to the recent news, making fun of the people who were gaslighting everyone into believing that the Left wasn’t trying to replace the population of the U.K. with non-British and non-Christian people.

“Remember, it’s just a ‘conspiracy theory,'” he wrote.

Political activist Charlie Simpson agreed with Robinson, stating that “if this is not evidence that we are losing our country, I don’t know what it is,” adding that “this is absolutely horrifying.”

A conservative actor, Laurence Fox, also left a sarcastic response.

“Goodbye, England. It was a fascinating and memorable 1000-odd years,” he wrote.

Top OnlyFans Star Claims She’s Virgin, Christian

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A 20-year-old girl who became famous and rich for selling her semi-nude photos and videos on OnlyFans recently claimed that she is a Christian virgin.

Co-owner of Trending Politics Colin Rugg reported that Miami-based Sophie Rain made her statement on YouTube streamer Kowski’s channel.

“I’m a virgin. I’m a virgin ’till this day,” she said. “I’m a Christian. I know it seems odd that I’m doing [OnlyFans], but I don’t do anything else with anyone on my OnlyFans. It’s just me.”

The recent news came after it was revealed that Rain earned $43 million in one year on OnlyFans.

“Evil. They’re going after a ‘new market,’ and this is how they’re doing it,” Rugg wrote.

However, conservatives and Christians on Twitter questioned her claims, pointing out that it is impossible to be a devout Christian and sell your semi-naked photos and videos to men.

A Korean-American conservative Christian commentator, Kangmin Lee, criticized Rain for her rhetoric.

“Being a whore and selling your body to simps is not, in fact, very Christ-like,” he wrote. “The Bible says to flee from sexual immorality, not monetize it, you whore.”

Popular Orthodox Christian Andrew Wilson also mocked Rain by pointing out the absurdity of her claim.

His wife, Rachel, also went as far as criticizing Christians who fall for these lies.

“Why do we tolerate outlandish lies and deception meant to mock Christianity and virtue to trick people into checking out pornography? It feels like this industry is taking over. How do people not see how demonic this is?” she wrote.

One of the Catholics on Twitter also claimed that her statement doesn’t mean anything unless it is backed up by actions that show that she is a Christian.

“She’s morally obligated to donate all that money and give it either to the poor or to the Church. Otherwise, her conversion means nothing,” @ClassicalTheis wrote.

Former porn star Bree Solstad also urged young women not to believe Rain and never do pornography.

“Dear young women, Get far away from Onlyf*ns. Stop creating p*rn. Stop posting thirst traps. Stop devaluing yourself for clicks, likes, quick riches and attention. Stop displaying your body as a piece of meat,” she wrote. “You are destroying many men, many relationships, many families and many futures. You are contributing to the degradation and inevitable fall of your own civilization.”

Conservatives Drag Dems over Sad Attack on Trump AG Pick

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Democrats recently attacked President-elect Donald Trump’s Attorney General pick, Pam Bondi, for which conservatives on Twitter mocked them.

“Here’s the truth about Pam Bondi, Trump’s new pick for AG,” the Democrats’ official account on Elon Musk’s social media platform stated.

Leftists then listed three things that they didn’t like about Bondi, among which was her loyalty to Trump and the alleged desire to implement one of Democrats’ boogeymen that were created during the 2024 election race.

“[She is an] ultra-MAGA loyalist who currently works for a group “helping to implement Project 2025,” the Democrats wrote.

Leftists also claimed that Bondi is a corrupt prosecutor who previously accepted bribes from Trump.

“[She] previously dropped an investigation into Trump University after asking for and receiving an illegal $25K campaign contribution from a Trump charity,” the Democrats stated.

According to the Democrats, Bondi also opposes LGBT unions by supporting bills that ban the concept of homosexual “marriages.”

“[She] opposes marriage equality as “the most visible supporter” of Florida’s marriage ban,” the Democrats wrote.

However, instead of receiving positive comments from other leftists, the Democrats faced the mockery of conservatives on the platform, who claimed that the Left is irrelevant in the rapidly changing American culture and that nobody cares about the Democrats anymore.

Some people also suggested that people who now became responsible for posting things on Twitter were former employees of former Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

Another person suggested that it was just one “angry cat lady” who is responsible for posting on the Democrats’ Twitter account.

The recent news came after Trump nominated Bondi for Attorney General after former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., withdrew his nomination.

“Pam was a prosecutor for nearly 20 years,” Trump stated, pointing out her accomplishments. “Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again. I have known Pam for many years — She is smart and tough, and is an AMERICA FIRST Fighter, who will do a terrific job as Attorney General.”

Critics Tear Into Secret Service Boss After Viral Outburst When Exposed

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Social media critics slammed Acting Secret Service Director Ronald L. Rowe after he threw an aggressive temper tantrum during the Thursday hearing of the assassination attempts on President-elect Donald Trump.

On X, critics mocked Howe’s baffling outburst, which was triggered after Rep. Pat Fallon asked him about apparent security lapses in Trump’s safety during a 9/11 commemoration in 2024.

“Ronald Rowe is a damn fool pounding the table because he’s a fraud. HE ALLOWED TRUMP TO GET SHOT AND ALMOST KILLED!!” one user wrote on X.

Conservative attorney Mike Davis shared Rowe’s ties to Democratic politicians, including his stint for the Obama White House and Senate Judiciary Chairman Pat Leahy.

“Don’t let him pretend he is a career, non-partisan law-enforcement official,” Davis wrote, who was rumored as a potential attorney general pick in Trump’s second term. “He’s a former partisan Democrat staffer.”

The reactions came after Rowe shouted, “Do not invoke 9/11 for political purposes!” in response to Fallon displaying a photo of Rowe standing behind Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance at Ground Zero in New York City.

Moments earlier, Fallon asked Rowe if he recognized the photo and pressed him on who is positioned near the president for security purposes. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were seen standing near Trump.

“Were you the special agent in charge of the detail that day?” Fallon asked.

Rowe conveniently pivoted, recounting his service during the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

“Actually, congressman what you’re not seeing is the sack of the detail … out of the picture’s view and that is the day where we remember the more than 3,000 people that have died on 9/11,” Rowe said.

“I actually responded to Ground Zero. I was there going through the ashes of the World Trade Center,” he said, his voice growing louder and face appearing red.

Rowe shot back, “Do not invoke 9/11 for political purposes!”

The exchange grew more heated as Fallon added, “I’m an elected member of Congress and I’m asking you a serious question!”

“And I am a public servant who has served this nation … on our day on our country’s darkest days,” Rowe responded.

The exchange has since gone viral across several social media platforms.

Rowe became acting director of the Secret Service on July 23, 2024, after Kim Cheatle resigned amid criticism of security lapses at Trump’s Butler, Pa., rally, where he was nearly assassinated.

The congressional investigation into the assassination attempt found several flaws in how the federal government protected Trump during his 2024 campaign.

California Walks Back Cynical Tsunami Warning: Were They Just Kidding?

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) California officials and U.S. officials suddenly walked back what some saw as a cynical tsunami warning for coastal regions in Northern California following a 7.0-magnitude earthquake.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) issued alerts to residents’ smartphones on Thursday morning after naming the quake “2024 Offshore Cape Mendocino, California Earthquake.”

Hours later, with residents scrambling to evacuate, the USGS downgraded the warning, stating no tsunami-like waves were expected.

USGS Science Center geologist Stephen B. DeLong explained the abrupt shift, as reported by The San Francisco Chronicle.

“We don’t expect large (aftershocks) to occur at great distances from this event and the most common aftershock sequence would be a series of smaller earthquakes within several, perhaps tens of miles or something from the original earthquake,” DeLong said. “And there’s a lower probability for something farther away.”

The alert, which was ultimately canceled, had been issued at the highest level of severity, according to The Chronicle.

San Francisco Fire Department Captain Justin Schorr admitted, “The scientists were so concerned that they skipped over the other two levels of alert and they went straight to the highest one.”

Critics online appeared to have questioned why the alert did not materialize and why lower levels of warning were skipped. Neither the San Francisco Fire Department nor the USGS provided clear answers.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom seemingly defended the decision, alleging the state government issues such warnings anytime an earthquake of 5.0 magnitude or higher hits the coast.

Newsom also said these high-level warnings enable the government to mobilize emergency resources to potentially affected areas.

Yet by the afternoon, the National Weather Service confirmed the tsunami warning had been entirely withdrawn.

“No tsunami danger presently exists for this area,” a bulletin read. “This will be the final U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center message for this region.”

Despite there being no tsunami threat, the USGS cautioned residents to be on the lookout for minor earthquakes. “Aftershocks are possible. Be ready for more shaking and be ready to take protective action,” DeLong said.

The Chronicle reported that the 7.0 earthquake likely struck “along the seismically active Mendocino Fault, which sits in an area where three tectonic plates converge, sometimes called the Mendocino Triple Junction.”

The area has been hit with four magnitude-6 or greater quakes in the past decade.

Trump Attorneys Cite Hunter Biden Pardon in Move to Clear Cases

(Attorneys for President-elect Donald Trump are working to clear out pending lawfare cases against him before he takes office in January.

Federal prosecutors have already moved to end two criminal cases—the election interference case in Washington D.C. and the classified documents case in Florida.

That leaves the porn-star case in New York and the racketeering charges in Georgia.

This week, Trump’s defense team asked New York Judge Juan Merchan to dismiss his case prior to conviction, despite the guilty verdict of a warped Manhattan jury on charges that had never before been brought under the circumstances.

In an 80-page dismissal motion, Trump’s team said prosecutors, led by George Soros-backed District Attorney Alvin Bragg, should never have filed charges. The motion cited President Joe Biden’s recent pardon of his son Hunter, in which the president claimed his son was unfairly targeted for political reasons.

Trump has repeatedly said the criminal cases against him were coordinated by his political opponents. His attorneys have continued those assertions in court motions.

“This case should never have been brought, particularly during a period when DA Bragg’s failure to protect this City from pervasive violent crime frightens, threatens, and harms New Yorkers on a daily basis,” Trump’s defense attorneys wrote.

“And this case would never have been brought were it not for President Trump’s political views, the transformative national movement established under his leadership, and the political threat that he poses to entrenched, corrupt politicians in Washington, D.C. and beyond,” they added.

In May, Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records for disguising payments to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels as legal costs ahead of the 2016 election. Daniels claimed the two had a sexual relationship 10 years prior to Trump’s first presidential run, although he has denied it.

The payments were made indirectly through his lawyer at the time, Michael Cohen, who later turned against him after his offices were raided as part of the equally dubious Mueller investigation into Russia collusion.

Under New York state law, falsifying business records in the first degree is a Class E felony with a maximum sentence of four years in prison.

However, since Trump’s case had federal jurisdiction, not state jurisdiction, it initially was investigated by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as a misdemeanor after the federal Justice Department determined they could not meet the evidentiary threshold.

By time Bragg reopened it, it already had surpassed the statute of limitations for a federal case. In order to morph it into a state case, Bragg and Merchan essentially had to redefine the law on multiple occasions throughout the trial.

Things were further complicated by the case’s reliance on evidence culled from Trump after he had become president that was arguably connected with his official executive duties.

A Supreme Court decision determined after the jury verdict had been issued that Trump had broad immunity for any official acts, forcing Merchan to delay the sentencing and formal conviction in the case.

Ultimately, voters had the opportunity to weigh in by re-electing Trump as president.

“Wrongly continuing proceedings in this failed lawfare case disrupts President Trump’s transition efforts and his preparations to wield the full Article II executive power authorized by the Constitution pursuant to the overwhelming national mandate granted to him by the American people on November 5, 2024,” Trump’s attorneys wrote.

They said the presidential immunity doctrine, the Presidential Transition Act and the Supremacy Clause required that the case be tossed immediately.

In Georgia, meanwhile, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis faced growing pressure regarding the election interference case against Trump.

Trump’s team likewise called on that case to be tossed.

“A sitting president is completely immune from indictment or any criminal process, state or federal,” Trump’s attorney Steve Sadow wrote in the latest Georgia filing. “President Trump respectfully submits that upon reaching that decision, this Court should dismiss his appeal for lack of jurisdiction with directions to the trial court to immediately dismiss the indictment against President Trump.”

Trump beat Vice President Kamala Harris last month to win another term in the White House. Trump’s inauguration is set for Jan. 20, 2025.

Golfers Hopeful Other Organizations Follow Lead of LPGA, USGA

(Like Riley Gaines stepping forward and momentum building in numbers, gender policy decisions Wednesday by two major governing bodies in golf can be pebbles hitting the water.

Two golfers—one an aspiring professional, the other an accomplished retired veteran—are hopeful.

“A win in women’s golf is a win for other sports,” pro golfer Lauren Miller said. “Hopefully it can give other organizations, other women and sports, momentum. Golf did it, why can’t we? It’s been incredibly unifying.”

The LPGA and the United States Golf Association, separate of each other, modified gender policies.

The LPGA says “[p]layers assigned male at birth and who have gone through male puberty are not eligible to compete in the aforementioned events.”

The USGA says “athletes must be assigned female at birth or have transitioned to female prior to going through male puberty in order to compete.”

Protection of women’s spaces – be it athletics, public facilities like restrooms, prisons among them – is a hot-button topic, one that is in statehouses coast to coast and was in the campaign season just completed.

“Ultimately, so many of us have taken a lot of courage and gratitude toward one another,” Miller, a 23-year-old resident of Addison, Texas, told the Center Square on Thursday while visiting family in Niceville, Fla.

“There is strength in numbers. That’s a big thing we learned from this,” she continued. “One person can talk and get the ripple of the water going; if you want a wave, you need the full boulder or whatever the analogy. We had to get the conversation started.”

Miller, playing the mini-tour level ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour and NXXT Golf Tour as she strives to eventually earn her LPGA card, was among 275-plus women signing a letter to tour leaders requesting guidelines be changed so women compete against women.

Broader, Gaines is among if not the leader of the movement across all sports and levels of competition.

“I would have loved to see the policies go one step further that your biological sex is based on chromosomes, which are unchangeable,” Amy Olson, retired LPGA veteran with two runners-up in majors, told the Center Square in a telephone interview Thursday from her home in Fargo, N.D. “Maybe we’ll see that down the road.”

Legal advocacy groups working on behalf of women athletes were still setting up the framework for advancing cases that they hope would bring a lasting resolution, with the goal being a Supreme Court decision in their favor.

“From the grassroots standpoint and common sense, there’s two sexes—male and female. And it should be that simple,” Olson said.

“Unfortunately, we have the legal landscape that has made that a hard thing to argue,” she added. “That’s the main reason why they landed at the post-puberty ban.”

Miller agreed.

“The goal is to get back to women only. Period,” she said. “Not leaving the door open to males to compete, even if transitioned pre-puberty. That’s a separate issue.”

The “separate issue” she in part references, and said would be interesting to watch, is the Supreme Court handling a Tennessee law banning medication to treat gender dysphoria for minors. At least 26 states have similar restrictions or bans.

“I think the thing that has always driven this and changes, has been the law,” the 32-year-old Olson said. “Threats of lawsuits, and then financial loss.”

She said the framing is the “individual who was born male and wants to compete in women’s spaces.” Rather, she said, than the women who lose opportunities and have spaces, privacies and opportunities taken away through no fault of their own.

“I’m super thankful for the Independent Women’s Forum,” she said. “They’ve allowed us to tell our stories, our stories of hard work and sacrifice. It’s not about one person being able to compete; that means there’s another person who can’t.”

Olson and Miller, like Gaines and fellow former collegiate swimmer Paula Scanlan, are all ambassadors with the Independent Women’s Forum. On multiple occasions, they’ve faced attacks for position, yet they have never relented.

Olson said women’s pro golf altered its gender policy in 2011 amid litigation. The push point is an equation arguably reaching a climax this year with storylines of Hailey Davidson, the presidential election, finances and litigation for pro golf, and pressure by litigation in other places, such as against the NCAA.

Davidson, born male in 1992 and having had hormone treatments in 2015 and a gender surgery in 2021, was previously eligible for the LPGA and affiliated minor league tour circuits.

Davidson this year was close when trying to earn a spot in the U.S. Women’s Open conducted by the USGA, an LPGA Tour card, and did win on the NXXT Golf Tour.

“In a perfect world, the decision would have come sooner,” Miller said. “There is a little bit of a fallout, someone directly impacted, in multiple ways.”

The new rule changes of the two tours revoke that eligibility, though. Miller praised the decision, even though it came as a disappointment to Davidson, who otherwise would have qualified.

“It’s incredibly tough to Davidson to swallow, thinking that by advancing through, would have a chance to play on the Epson Tour,” she said.

“I wish that had not been on the table, so it would not go through what is going through now,” she added. “At the same time, this decision is huge, and I’m grateful that the LPGA and USGA are again prioritizing what is best for women’s sports and making sure fairness is at the forefront.”

Miller said her courage for taking a stand starts “first and foremost” with faith.

Three of her four older siblings are active-duty Air Force, and she said their sacrifice for country is “true bravery.”

It also makes her stand “a no-brainer for me to want to do my part to help women’s sports as it should be,” she said. “When this issue was right on my doorstep, I had to look at myself in the mirror and say ‘Do I want to remain quiet and stay silent, and silence says everything, or stand up and fight for my peers and this next generation of female athletes?’”

Davidson posted a now-deleted Instagram story on Wednesday after the rulings.

“Can’t say I didn’t see this coming,” it read. “Banned from the Epson and the LPGA. All the silence and people wanting to stay ‘neutral’ thanks for absolutely nothing. This happened because of all your silence.”

Or, perhaps, because Gaines and the Independent Women’s Forum spoke.

“Her story is so compelling,” Olson said of Gaines. “Not just sport side and competitiveness, but the women’s locker room and violation of that, that women feel if they don’t have private and safe spaces.”

Despite the uncomfortable ordeal, Gaines’s determination to speak out has been an inspiration to other female athletes.

“She’s given women the license to go and say, ‘That’s my story,’” Olson said. “She’s an example … that no one sets out to be a hero. She spoke the truth, and that’s what heroes do. She’s the hero of women’s sports right now.”

Olson, her last tournament before retirement the U.S. Women’s Open at famed Pebble Beach while seven months pregnant, said her courage has multiple drivers. Opportunities for her 14-month-old daughter are as big as any.

“It’s not necessarily about opportunities taken away from me in 2024, it’s about her, her high school career, and where she wants to compete,” Olson said. “The implications of current decisions on future outcomes. If I don’t speak up now, I don’t know where her opportunities will be in 10, 15, 20 years.”

Miller and other ambassadors talk about that, too. She described a fascination with just the last year.

“It was neat for me to see the way that it grew over the course of this year,” she said. “Conversations with Riley at different points—she just made it so clear to me, just keep going. We know we’re on the right side of this.”

As with many make-or-break issues in the Left’s war on traditional values, the Nov. 5 election that brought Republican Donald Trump back to the White House was a criticial inflection point.

“People from the Left and Right, really agreeing on this—we knew we had the majority,” Miller said. “It was a matter of continuing to talk about it and speak truth. We were going to get there, and we were willing to do whatever we needed to do to get it done.”

Judge Says Pardon Can’t ‘Rewrite History’ of Hunter Biden’s Crimes

0

() District Judge Mark Scarsi issued a harsh rebuke on Tuesday to President Joe Biden after he pardoned his son Hunter, noting the false pretenses put forward in president’s excuse for clemency, which was delivered through a hyperlink to a press release rather than through the formal process.

Biden gave his son a broad “unconditional” pardon for any and all crimes he committed over the past decade. The president claimed Hunter was unfairly singled out for prosecution.

“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son—and that is wrong,” Joe Biden said in a statement.

However, Scarsi, who oversaw Hunter Biden’s tax case in California, said the president’s pardon didn’t change the facts of the case and couldn’t rewrite history.

“Two federal judges expressly rejected Mr. Biden’s arguments that the Government prosecuted Mr. Biden because of his familial relation to the President,” he noted.

“The Constitution provides the President with broad authority to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, but nowhere does the Constitution give the President the authority to rewrite history,” Scarsi wrote.

He further debunked Joe Biden’s claim that Hunter’s tax evasion was the result of drug addiction, saying the facts in the case did not bear it out, and that the two crimes were mutually exclusive of one another.

Hunter Biden pleaded guilty over the summer to federal charges of failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes from 2016 to 2020.

In June, a jury in Delaware convicted Hunter of illegally buying and owning a gun while using crack cocaine.

He was set to be sentenced on Dec. 12 in the federal gun case in Delaware and on Dec. 16 in the tax-evasion case in California.

The pardon also pre-emptively covered events dating back through 2014, immediately prior to when Hunter joined the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Both Joe and Hunter Biden, as well as other members of the Biden family, have been implicated in an influence-peddling scandal in which the company leveraged its connection to force the Ukrainian government to drop a corruption probe.

Although then-President Donald Trump’s call for newly-elected President Volodymyr Zelensky to reopen the corruption probe triggered an impeachment trial led by House Democrats who claimed that Trump was targeting his political enemies, the scope of Biden’s pardon—and its tacit admission of guilt—suggests that Trump’s reasons for reopening the corruption probe may have been valid.

Some Immigrants Debate Returning Home Before Trump Enters Office

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) Some illegal immigrants said they were considering returning back to their country before President-elect Donald Trump reenters the White House, according to Reuters.

The outlet interviewed a dozen illegals in Mexico who stated they would rather return home than stay in Mexico due to the violent crime in the country.

Migrant Nidia Montenegro told Reuters she is trying to get an appointment for asylum in the United States.

“I am traumatized,” the Venezuelan said. “If I don’t get the appointment, I will go back,” as Reuters added Trump has already said he plans on removing a series of government programs.

Trump’s campaign focused on restoring the border and deporting all criminal illegal aliens.

One caravan in Mexico was cut in roughly half after Trump secured the 2024 election against Vice President Kamala Harris.

“We’re gonna have to seal up those borders, and we’re gonna have to let people come into our country,” Trump said during his acceptance speech. “We want people to come back in.”

The president-elect also vowed to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants.

Trump’s incoming border czar Tom Homan already warned Democrats who state they will not comply with fixing the illegal immigration problem.

“It is a felony to knowingly harbor or conceal an illegal immigrant from immigration authorities. Don’t test us,” Homan said.

He already sparred with Denver Mayor Mike Johnston who stated he would fight the plan to deport illegals and added he was “not afraid” of going to jail over it.

However, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday he plans on working with Homan to stop immigrant crime in the city.

“If you come into this country and this city and think you are going to harm innocent New Yorkers, and innocent migrants and asylum seekers, this is not the mayor you want to be under,” Adams said.
