Biden Frantically Eyes ‘SOTU’ Address to Save Sinking Ship

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The beleaguered re-election campaign of President Joe Biden is eyeing the State of the Union address on March 7 as a potential reset following a barrage of scandals rocking the White House, as reported by Axios on Monday.

Specifically, sources close to the president have indicated that if the presidential elections were held today, former President Donald Trump would emerge triumphant, causing chaos within the Biden team.

“Everyone around him is well aware — well aware — of the need to jack this campaign up,” an individual close to Biden told Axios. “The only way to deal with the negative aftershocks of the special counsel’s report [slamming Biden’s age] is for the president to be out there, to be visible — to be strong of presence and strong of voice.”

In preparation for the address, Biden is allegedly contemplating signing an executive order to “dramatically stem” the unprecedented flow of illegal immigration plaguing the southern border. “This could even happen in the two weeks before the address, allowing Biden to say he took action while Republicans just talk,” Axios reported.

However, it isn’t immediately clear what order Biden would take, as Republicans argue that most, if not all, of the border crisis is linked to the president’s permissiveness and well-documented pro-illegal immigration rhetoric.

For instance, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas became the first cabinet member to be impeached by the House since 1876 over what Republicans described as an illegal refusal to enforce the law and reportedly lying about border security before Congress.

Among some potential campaign changes could be allowing aides, disgruntled with the idea of traveling to Delaware, to work remotely, similar to the infamous Biden basement campaign of 2020.

Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly met with a handful of Democratic governors in a bid to burst through the “information” bubble of the Biden re-election campaign, as reported by CNN.

The 180-degree change comes as Biden faces a plethora of obstacles blocking his re-election.

These issues include embarrassingly low polls, rampant illegal immigration, skyrocketing inflation, an impeachment inquiry over alleged illegal influence peddling schemes, criminal indictments against his son Hunter Biden, scathing questions about his age and mental faculties, mishandling of classified information, constant gaffes including confusing world leaders with individuals who died decades ago and reportedly not remembering when his son, Beau Biden, passed away.

Sick DNC Disrespects Jimmy Carter in Presidential Tribute

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Critics blasted the Democratic National Committee on Monday following their omission of former President Jimmy Carter in a tribute to all past Democratic presidents.

In celebration of Presidents Day, the DNC’s official Twitter page shared a photo featuring President Joe Biden alongside former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. But there was one caveat.

The since-deleted photo failed to acknowledge Carter, who, at the age of 99, is currently in hospice care and recently lost his wife, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Carter, who served a four-year term as the 39th president from 1977 to 1981, was voted out of office and succeeded by Republican powerhouse Ronald Reagan.

Despite being the oldest living former president, Carter is currently under hospice care after enduring years of cancer treatments.

On Feb. 18, 2023, the Carter Center announced Carter’s decision to halt cancer treatment and spend his remaining time with loved ones.

“He has the full support of his family and his medical team,” the center said. “The Carter family asks for privacy during this time and is grateful for the concern shown by his many admirers.”

While Carter’s one term in office was marked by controversy, including a hostage and economic crisis, he is admired by many political observers, including Biden himself.

“President Jimmy Carter, you remain the spirit and the heart of the American people,” Biden said on Oct. 1, the 39th president’s birthday. “It’s a great honor to know you and to have worked with you. Jill and I wish you a happy birthday.”

In the run-up to the 2020 election, Carter endorsed Biden against then-President Donald Trump, prompting Biden pay homage in a video.

“I remember helping President Carter with his campaign back when I was a first-term Senator. I’m deeply honored to have his support today,” Biden said in 2020 after the endorsement.

Carter’s wife passed away on Nov. 19, 2023, just two days after entering hospice care following a dementia diagnosis in May of that year. “Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” Carter said of his late wife.

Calif. Library Closed Over Public Sex, Drug Use, Robberies

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Contra Costa County Library announced on Feb. 16, 2024, that it would temporarily shut its branch in Antioch, Calif., because of reported drug use, robberies and public sex in the library stacks that jeopardized the staff and patrons, calling all of these crimes “repeated dangerous incidents.”

The branch was closed on Feb. 17, 2024, and would remain in place “until further notice,” according to the library system’s website. However, by Feb. 17, 2024, evening, the library system said that the branch would reopen on Feb. 20, 2024, Fox 2 reported.

“The Contra Costa County Library has made this difficult decision after repeated dangerous incidents in the last few months that have threatened the safety and security of patrons and staff,” the library originally said on its website.

In addition to that, a library spokesperson informed Fox 2 that crimes, theft and vandalism against employees and patrons were just the tip of the iceberg.

“We’ve also had drug activity and drug use both inside the library and on library property. People having sexual intercourse inside the library or on property in full view of patrons and staff. We found bullet casings on library property,” Brooke Converse, a spokeswoman for the Contra Costa County Library System, said.

After the library system released its original statement, Antioch’s Mayor Lamar Hernandez-Thorpe criticized the move, saying that the city was blindsided by the decision.

“No one in the City of Antioch, including the police chief, was informed of safety concerns by Contra Costa County regarding the library,” Hernandez-Thorpe said.

However, library officials said that the branch is owned and operated by the county, which means that county supervisors were notified about what was going on. In addition to that, the officials said they would work more closely with the city.

“The Library will be in close contact with the City of Antioch about how they can best support the safety of library patrons, staff, and the surrounding neighborhood,” County Librarian Alison McKee said.

The library also said that it will add a second full-time security officer, repair a vandalized fence and upgrade security cameras.

“We apologize for the short notice and the inconvenience, but the safety of our patrons and staff is a top priority,” the library officials said.

Trump Compares Russian Opposition Leader’s Death in Prison to Left’s Lawfare Attacks

(Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump mentioned the recent death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s death in an Arctic penal colony in a searing condemnation of leftist lawfare attacks that have likewise sought to neutralize the leading opposition candidate of the party in power.

“The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our Country,” he wrote.

“It is a slow, steady progression, with CROOKED, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges leading us down a path to destruction,” he continued. “Open Borders, Rigged Elections, and Grossly Unfair Courtroom Decisions are DESTROYING AMERICA. WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING NATION! MAGA2024.”

Trump’s post came just days after Russian President Vladimir Putin lovingly offered a Valentine’s Day endorsement to incumbent President Joe Biden in the 2024 election, describing him as “more experienced, more predictable” compared with Trump, who kept the ex-KGB official on edge during his presidency.

During a 2022 summit at the University of Chicago, former President Barack Obama, whom many believe to be quietly running the show given Biden’s clear cognitive decline, previously expressed his admiration for Putin’s ability to maintain an “absolute control of information” in his country.

Thus far, the legal attacks on Trump have only helped him politically, although they are likely to take a major toll on his finances if the appeals fail and are expected to keep him bogged down in courts throughout much of the campaign season.

New York judge Arthur Engoron on Friday ordered Trump to pay $355 million in a civil trial after predetermining his guilt and arbitrarily deciding the value of Trump’s property holdings himself.

Trump has also been criminally charged in four separate investigations, the first of which is scheduled to go to trial next month. Legal experts such as Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley have pointed out the flimsiness of all four cases, while many have noted the legal double standard compared with Democrats having given themselves free passes in parallel situations.

Trump’s post drew immediate denunciation from his rivals, including Nikki Haley, his last remaining challenger in the Republican nominating contest, who has been stepping up her criticism of the former president heading into Saturday’s South Carolina primary.

“Donald Trump could have condemned Vladimir Putin for being a murderous thug,” she wrote. “Trump could have praised Navalny’s courage.” Instead, “he stole a page from liberals’ playbook, denouncing America and comparing our country to Russia.”

On Monday morning in Sumter, she further accused Trump of “siding with a thug” in Putin, whom she called “a dictator who killed his political opponents.”

Biden’s campaign tweeted that after days of silence, Trump finally responded by comparing Navalny to himself in a “deranged social media post.”

As president, Trump drew outrage from the Left when he openly questioned his own intelligence agencies’ finding that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. election to help him win.

His doubts, however, were largely validated after evidence proved that his opponent, Hillary Clinton, had largely fabricated the claims pushed by the leftist media. New evidence recently has revealed, however, that the origin of the false smear campaign may in fact have been Obama CIA Director John Brennan.

Navalny’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya, has accused Putin of killing her husband in a remote prison and refusing to turn over his body as part of a cover-up.

Russian authorities have said Navalny’s cause of death Friday is still unknown and is the subject of a new investigation. Its findings are likely to be met with deep skepticism.

Prison officials allegedly told Navalny’s mother when she arrived at the penal colony Saturday that her son had perished from “sudden death syndrome,” Ivan Zhdanov, the director of Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation, tweeted.

Navalny had been imprisoned since January 2021, when he returned to Moscow after recuperating from a nerve agent poisoning that he blamed on the Kremlin.

Biden Relative Granted Presidential Pardon — Is Hunter Next?

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A member of the Biden family has been bestowed with the gesture of a complete presidential pardon, but the incident in question didn’t unfold in the last decade or even the last century.

Former President Abraham Lincoln, who led the nation through the Civil War and the emancipation of slaves, extended a pardon to Union Army civilian Moses Robinette, the great-great-grandfather of President Joe Biden.

According to historical records cited by the Washington Post, Robinette found himself incarcerated after a violent altercation with fellow Union Army worker John Alexander on March 21, 1865.

The severity of Robinette’s apparent assault left Alexander with knife wounds, leading to attempted murder charges.

Fortunately for Robinette, Lincoln, the 16th commander-in-chief, intervened by granting clemency to the great-great-grandfather of this 30th successor. Notably, Robinette’s lineage ultimately led to the parental line of Biden, whose full name is Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.

A transcript from the trial reveals Robinnette’s claim of self-defense: “He grabbed me and possibly might have injured me seriously had I not resorted to the means that I did.” However, his assertions failed to sway the military judges, resulting in a guilty verdict for all counts, except the attempted to kill charge.

This historical revelation comes as critics speculate that Joe Biden may pardon his son, Hunter Biden. Much like his dad’s great-great-grandfather, Hunter Biden is grapping with a criminal indictment related to his tax affairs and the contentious purchase of a weapon.

The White House has refuted any consideration of such a pardon. Despite these denials, reporters have flooded the press briefings with questions related to a potential presidential intervention.

“I’ve been very clear; the president is not going to pardon his son,” White House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre said in December.

In September, Jean-Pierre made similar remarks. “I’ve answered this question before. It was asked of me not too long ago, a couple of weeks ago, and I was very clear, and I said no,” she said.

Out-of-Control School Begs Massachusetts Gov. to Send Nat’l Guard to Restore Order

(Headline USA) Officials have asked Gov. Maura Healey to send in the Massachusetts National Guard to stop violence and address security concerns at a troubled high school in a city south of Boston, some school committee members said Monday.

Four of the seven members of the Brockton School Committee backed the National Guard request amid teacher shortages and budget deficits, but city officials weren’t unanimous in their support.

The governor’s office acknowledged the concerns about Brockton High School, where teachers reported fighting and drug use in the hallways, and verbal abuse of staff.

“Our administration is committed to ensuring that schools are safe and supportive environments for students, educators, and staff,” Healey’s office said.

Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan, who serves as chair of the school committee, said he forwarded the request to the governor on Friday, even though he opposed it.

“National Guard soldiers are not the answer,” he said.

School committee members who backed the request held a news conference Monday to press their case for help. They said National Guard personnel could be used as hall monitors or even substitute teachers.

“We’re not asking them to deploy a whole army to our school. We’re asking for support,” committee member Ana Oliver said.

“If you support safety in our schools, you will support the National Guard to come in here and keep our schools safe,” said Tony Rodrigues, another committee member.

Students are not in class this week. The police chief will provide an update on efforts to address the problems after the winter break concludes, the mayor said.

Healey recently deployed the National Guard to help address the influx of illegal immigrants resulting from the Biden administration’s open borders.

It was unclear whether immigration was a contributing factor in the issues related to Brockton, although statistics have shown that the crisis is putting a heavy burden on schools nationwide, which are already struggling with post-pandemic learning loss.

According to data compiled by the Center for Immigration Studies, which is part derived from Census Bureau statistics, as of last June nearly 30% of public school enrollment (about 3 million students) from immigrant households were from homes headed by an illegal immigrant.

Moreover, almost one-fourth of all U.S. public school students were from immigrant families of legal and illegal status (about 11 million total), and about one-fifth of those lived in poverty.

Police Arrest Student for Murder of Two in Univ. of Colorado Dorm Room

(Headline USA) A student was arrested Monday on murder charges over the shootings of two people who were found dead in a dorm room last week at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, police said.

The Colorado Springs Police Department said they arrested Nicholas Jordan, 25, without incident on two counts of first-degree murder.

Jordan was a student at the school at the time of the shooting, said university spokesperson Jenna Press.

The victims were identified as Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, and Samuel Knopp, 24, a student at the university about 69 miles south of Denver. Montgomery was not currently enrolled.

After getting an arrest warrant, the police’s motor vehicle theft unit found Jordan in a car and the tactical enforcement unit took him into custody in Colorado Springs, police announced on Twitter.

Friday’s shooting appeared to be an “isolated incident” between people who knew each other, not a random attack at the school, police said.

While the coroner’s office will determine how they died, each victim was shot at least once, police previously said.

The police department was called early Friday morning about shots fired from the university’s dormitory, Creston House, where they found the two already dead.

A campus-wide lockdown was issued for 90 minutes after the shooting, and the university remained closed for the day and through the weekend. Monday classes have been canceled while the school offers walk-in counseling.

Dozens gathered for a memorial walk Monday at the school, which is home to more than 11,000 students and nearly 2,000 faculty and staff.

It’s unknown if Jordan has an attorney who can comment on his behalf. Court records aren’t yet available in the case, and a hearing hasn’t been scheduled.

WATCH: Hero Cop Rescues Infant from Scene of Deadly Fla. Car Crash

0

(Headline USA) A Florida sheriff’s deputy says he was just doing his job when he quickly came to the aid of a mom and her toddler and infant children in a car crash and performed chest compressions on the infant until the baby resumed breathing.

Charlotte County Deputy Sgt. Dave Musgrove’s heroics the night of Feb. 8 were captured on body camera footage.

The deputy was traveling on a state highway near Englewood when a motorcycle passed him at an estimated speed of over 100 mph, the sheriff’s office said in a Feb. 16 news release. Seconds later, a camera in the deputy’s vehicle captured a flash of light as the motorcycle crashed into another vehicle.

Upon arriving at the scene, Musgrove opened a rear passenger door and pulled the toddler from a booster seat. He flagged a passerby and handed the child to him and then went back to the car.

The motorcyclist was dead and wedged on top of the infant, who was in a car seat. With the help of other drivers, Musgrove moved the motorcyclist and cut a seatbelt to remove the car seat.

The baby was not breathing. In the body camera footage, her mother asks frantically whether she’s alive. Musgrove performs chest compressions until the baby resumes breathing.

“The actions of Sgt. Musgrove are to be commended,” Sheriff Bill Prummell said in a statement. “His poise and calm demeanor in a scene of chaos and tragedy ultimately saved the life of a beautiful child.”

The mom, Kayleigh Foley, told WBBH in Fort Myers that Musgrove is a hero to the family.

“He is such a genuine person,” she said.

Her infant daughter was in intensive care with a brain injury at a St. Petersburg hospital, according to WBBH.

At a news conference, Musgrove downplayed his efforts.

“Anybody that has received the same training we’ve received would do the same thing,” he said.

Over 18,000 Students Could Be Suspended for Not Updating Vax Records

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A school district threatened more than 18,000 elementary school students with suspension for not having updated vaccine records.

Suspension orders that were issued by the Region of Waterloo Public Health in Ontario, Canada, required young students to get all their necessary vaccines and update their records within six weeks or face suspension. According to Blaze Media, a total of 18,643 students were ordered by the region to update their records by March 27, 2024.

High school students, however, have more time to comply with the mandates — until May 27, 2024 — but suspensions may start at the beginning of that month.

There was a decline in parents staying up to date with their child’s repeat vaccine doses during COVID-19 lockdowns, public health representatives said. Among those doses were shots for measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, meningococcal, pertussis (whooping cough) and varicella (chicken pox).

In her press release, Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, the medical officer of health for the region, also pushed the COVID-19 vaccines propaganda, writing that “vaccination protects kids and keeps schools healthy by stopping the spread of serious and preventable disease.”

“Children who are not vaccinated are at increased risk of getting infections and spreading diseases to others. The enforcement of the Immunization of School Pupils Act is critical for ensuring the health and well-being of our community,” she added.

Since the region made a previous threat of suspensions in January 2024, the number of students facing discipline was cut nearly in half. According to CBC, 32,000 students were facing suspensions over their records at that time, which prompted regional officials to expand vaccine clinic times and advertise their services in certain areas.

“We are working closely with local school boards and our community partners to reach as many families as possible. Our priority is to keep kids healthy and in school,” David Aoki, director of infectious diseases and chief nursing officer for public health, said.

In nearby Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph, another 10,000 students were encouraged to get vaccines at clinics at public health offices and even in their schools, with high school students in that region passing their deadline to update their records.

Deranged Leftists Forced Harvard’s Most Brilliant Black Prof. to Rely on Police Protection

(Matthew Doarnberger, Headline USA) At the age of 30, economics professor Roland Fryer became the youngest black person to ever be awarded tenure at Harvard University. He has since won numerous awards for his academic research and is the author of more than 50 papers.

However, in a recent interview with Bari Weiss, Fryer revealed that he needed armed protection when he went out in public after becoming a target of radical leftists due to a controversial 2016 study about police shootings.

For part of the research of his study, titled An Empirical Analysis of Racial Differences in Police Use of Force, Fryer sent out graduate-student researchers to conduct police ride-alongs in four urban locales: Camden, N.J.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Houston, Texas; and Massachusetts.

However, the findings of the study were not what Fryer initially hypothesized.

“We didn’t find any racial bias in police shootings,” he said. “That was really surprising to me, because I expected to see it.”

Fryer then conducted the analysis again, just to make sure it was correct.

“I had eight full-time [research assistants] that it took to do this over nearly a year,” he said.

“When I found the surprising result, I hired eight fresh ones and redid it to make sure,” he added. “They came up with the same exact answer.”

Upon obtaining the surprising data, Fryer was advised by other colleagues not to publish it over the fear that it could ruin his career. He had to live under police protection for 30 or 40 days and needed an armed guard to visit the local grocery store.

“People lost their minds,” he exclaimed. “It was really, truly crazy.”

Even after the initial furor, the episode made Fryer a target for deranged leftists—despite the fact that he, himself, is by no means conservative, the New York Post noted.

In particular, future ex-Harvard President Claudine Gay—who was, at the time, climbing her way up the ranks as a college dean—led the inquisition against Fryer, whom she claimed, ironically in retrospect, “exhibited a pattern of behavior” that fell short of the Ivy League school’s standards for excellence.

The married father of young children was suspended for two years following secretive tribunals over #MeToo-era allegations that he had engaged in “unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature toward four women” in his graduate student lab.

Fryer denies the allegations.

Despite the heavy toll of pursuing intellectual honesty, Fryer remains unrepentant.

“I’m willing to tell the truth,” he stated in a 2022 video conference discussing his work. “I don’t care about the personal cost.”

Weiss, who interviewed Fryer for the Free Press, shares with him the experience of being a classical liberal who was, to some extent “red-pilled” after bearing witness to the radicalization of the Left and, in turn, facing the brunt of cancel culture.

The former New York Times columnist resigned amid the fallout from a June 2020 column by Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., that criticized Black Lives Matter riots for “plung[ing] many American cities into anarchy.”

The Times subsequently caved to pressure from Twitter and newsroom cry-bullies such as reporter Taylor Lorenz, who demanded that it apologize for running the Republican perspective and forced the resignation of editorial-page editor James Bennet.

Weiss has since become one of the charter trustees for the University of Austin, a school dedicated to advancing academic freedom without the pernicious influence of leftist politics.

Fryer, meanwhile, may have gotten the last laugh after Gay faced accusations of plagiarism and anti-Semitism that forced her from her position as Harvard president, although she remains on the faculty.
