New Nancy Pelosi J6 Footage: ‘We’ve Got to Take Some Responsibility’

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) “We’re calling the National Guard now? They should have been here to start out … We will have totally failed. And we’ve got to take some responsibility.”

Those were the words of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as she left the U.S. Capitol through a tunnel under on the afternoon of Jan. 6, 2021. Pelosi’s comments were caught on camera by her daughter, Alexandra, who used the footage for an eventual HBO movie.

The unaired and previously hidden Pelosi footage is only coming out now, after it was released by House Administration Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk.

The Pelosi footage caused a stir online, but it wasn’t the first time the former House Speaker was heard admitting culpability for the Jan. 6 security failures. In January, she was heard making similar comments in a video of her talking to her chief of staff Terri McCullough while they rode in an SUV that would take them to Fort McNair.

“We have responsibility Terri. We did not have any accountability for what was going on in there, and we should have … You’re going to ask me — in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff — ‘should we call … the National Guard?’” Pelosi asked in that video, which was also released by the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee.

“Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with? … They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more.”

According to interview transcripts released earlier this year, former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato told the Jan. 6 Committee that former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows explicitly offered D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser the National Guard deployment.

“‘[Trump is] willing to ask for 10,000,’” Ornato informed the Jan. 6 Committee, quoting Meadows’s conversation with Bowser. However, Bowser declined the offer, insisting on deploying only a few hundred individuals.

Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund and DC National Guard leader Maj. Gen. Walker have also reportedly said that Army Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt (ret.), who was Army Staff Director on Jan. 6, delayed or ignored Sund’s request for National Guard support.

Four whistleblowers further also testified in April about Pentagon officials prevented them from promptly responding to the Capitol Hill uprising.

The four whistleblowers spent much of their testimony discussing the three-hour 19-minute delay from the time they were requested to deploy to the Capitol to when they arrived. Their testimony suggests that the top Pentagon officials failed in executing President Donald Trump’s authorization to have the at least 10,000 National Guards members ready to assist in quelling violence on Jan. 6.

Nearly 4 Years Later, DOJ Charges 66-Year-Old DoD Employee for Entering Capitol on J6

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Nearly four years after the fact, the Justice Department is still rounding up protestors from the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill uprising.

The DOJ announced its latest charges Monday against a 66-year-old federal employee of the Pentagon’s Defense Logistics Agency, who entered the Capitol for about 16 minutes on Jan. 6. The defendant, Utah man Hal Ray Huddleston, entered through doors that were breached nearly an hour beforehand, and walked around before leaving.

Nevertheless, he now faces a felony offense of obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder, as well as misdemeanor offenses for entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly or disruptive conduct in the Capitol building and grounds, and parading, picketing, and demonstrating in a Capitol building.

According to DOJ charging papers, FBI agents first attempted to interview Huddleston in November 2021, and he declined to speak with them. FBI agents then contacted Hill Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations agents and requested they attempt to interview Huddleston where he worked at the Defense Logistics Agency, and Huddleston agreed to a voluntary interview with OSI on Nov. 9, 2021.

Huddleston reportedly told agents that the Capitol Police invited protestors inside the Capitol building. Agents asked him about violent rhetoric he made about fighting with police on Jan. 6, but he told them his intention was to describe what he saw at the rally, not what he personally did.

Huddleston’s social media posts included references to the III%er militia, which the FBI co-opted as part of its dubious Whitmer kidnap case in 2020. He also allegedly made posts referencing QAnon, such as one photo with the hashtag #WWG1WGA—a common acronym among followers of QAnon standing for “Where We Go One, We Go All,” according to the DOJ.

Huddleston’s felony charge stems from another protestor holding a wooden flagpole horizontally and pushing it into the backs of rioters pushing into police in order to reinforce them. Video footage purportedly shows Huddleston grabbing the pole and joining the other rioter in pushing it as part of the effort to hold back the police line.

Infamous J6 provocateur Ray Epps was caught on camera doing similar activities—helping others push a sign into the police—but unlike Huddleston, he was never charged with a felony.

It’s not clear why law enforcement waited nearly three years after interviewing Huddleston to charge him.

More than 1,488 individuals have now been charged in nearly all 50 states for J6-related crimes.

Lila Rose’s Critique of Trump’s Abortion Message Sparks GOP Backlash

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Lila Rose, the pro-life activist and founder of Live Action, drew the ire of some Republican voters on social media after she criticized President Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, over recent comments on the abortion topic.

In the Tuesday episode of her podcast, Rose accused Trump of “trying to sound like a Democrat on abortion” and urged him to echo his stanch pro-life messaging of the 2016 campaign.

“The unborn cannot speak for themselves,” Rose pleaded. “People want a fighter. People want someone who is not going to vow to the establishment and bow to the Beltway pollsters and consultants.”

Rose’s comments came after she criticized Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, for suggesting that Trump might veto an abortion ban.

“If you don’t stand for pro-life principles, you don’t get pro-life votes” Rose commented on X, referring to Vance’s remark during an NBC News interview on Sunday.

Vance did not specify which type of abortion ban Trump might veto, leading some critics to suggest that Rose’s comments were premature. Some critics also reminded Rose of the potential impact of a Kamala Harris administration on the pro-life movement.

Others correctly clarified that publicly endorsing a federal abortion ban could alienate the independent voters Trump needs to win 2024. It would also mobilize the left, given the Democratic Party’s hawkish focus on abortion following Roe v. Wade‘s overturn. Others suggested that the Supreme Court would also block a federal abortion ban.

In recent days, Trump has attempted to de-escalate the abortion debate by stating that abortion is state issue. Trump posted on Friday via Truth Social that his administration “will be great for women and their reproductive rights.”

Some pro-lifers affirmed that Trump’s tone mirrored language often associated with pro-abortion activists. However, according to liberal Human Rights Watch, “reproductive rights” might encompass health care for women’s childbearing, prenatal services and safe childbirth.

In the past, Vance emphasized his pro-life stance but emphasized the importance of effectively delivering the pro-life message to “win the war,” specifically in elections.

Reflecting on the defeat of a citizen-initiated constitutional amendment to codify abortion rights in Ohio on Nov. 7, 2023, Vance urged Republicans to provide support for women, offer exceptions to abortion bans and combat leftist propaganda by investing more in campaign efforts.

Biden-Harris Busted Using Secret Rule to ‘Trump-Proof’ DOJ

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Biden-Harris administration appears to have intensified its efforts to block a potential return by President Donald Trump to the White House, according to a report from the Daily Caller on Tuesday.

The current administration has resorted to using a “Schedule A” hiring rule to staff DOJ offices with individuals who may be shielded from potential termination by a new administration, including that of Trump if he wins the 2024 election.

Several hundred employees have been hired under this rule, bypassing merit-based qualifications and allowing them to keep their jobs even at the end of the current administration’s term.

Put in practice, this means that if Trump is sworn in as president, he could find himself grappling with leftover Biden appointees. This follows several reports suggesting that President Joe Biden is implementing policies designed to undermine Trump if elected.

According to documents released by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) and first reported by the Caller, the specific offices targeted include the powerful Environmental and Natural Resources (ENRD) and the Antitrust and Immigration Review departments.

PPT Director Michael Chamberlain suggested that the use of “Schedule A” could be part of the Biden-Harris administration’s plan to hamstring their successor and block future presidents from reversing their agenda.

“Exploiting non-competitive hiring authorities to fill career civil service positions could be just another component of this scheme,” Chamberlain said, as cited by the Caller. “It’s no wonder that the public’s trust in its government has all but disappeared.”

Documents obtained by PPT reveal that the DOJ has hired over 100 immigration judges using this rule. These individuals are responsible for determining whether illegal aliens can remain in the U.S. while their cases are pending.

“The administration is also using Schedule A to install immigration judges — again, outside of the normal merit-based system — who will rule on cases of those in a position to benefit from the administration’s immigration policies,” PPT stated in a press statement.

The use of “Schedule A” has also been extended to ENRD, a DOJ division tasked with enforcing environmental laws, including the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.

PPT sounded the alarm that ENRD is a “vital office in advancing the Biden-Harris administration’s energy and climate policies, and the placement of Biden-Harris loyalists is a means to defend those policies even if a future Trump (or other) administration seeks to change them.”

The DOJ’s antitrust division has also seen an increase in staff members hired through “Schedule A,” likely compromising the non-partisan nature of the federal department.

“Until recently, antitrust enforcement was a relatively technical and non-partisan division. But the Biden-Harris administration’s increasingly aggressive implementation has sparked complaints of politicized enforcement,” PPT warned.

Headline USA could not reach a DOJ spokesperson through its media mainline or after-hours hotline at 9:40 p.m. ET. A separate call to the operator’s hotline also prompted an automated message claiming the offices were closed.

See the appointees’ names below, as detailed in a document released by the Caller and PPT.

Biden, Harris Still Have Not Reached Out to Families of 13 U.S. Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

(Headline USA) Family members of some of the 13 U.S. soldiers killed during the administration’s disastrous 2021 military withdrawal from Afghanistan alleged this week that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris still had not reached out, according to the Free Beacon.

Several members of the Gold Star families participated in a call with Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of their loved ones’ deaths while attempting to maintain order at the Kabul airport three years ago. The suicide bombing at Abbey Gate by a member of ISIS-K also left more than 150 Afghan civilians dead and maimed many others.

Biden “has never once reached out to any of our families,” Cheryl Juels, who lost her niece, Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole Gee, told Vance.

“Kamala Harris has never once reached out,” she added. “Kamala Harris supported [Biden] this entire time.”

Reports indicated that Biden did meet with some of the family members of the deceased shortly after the fiasco, but it did not go well.

After he was caught checking his watch during the unloading of the caskets, he reportedly spent more time talking about his own dead son, cancer victim Beau Biden, than hearing out the bereaved parents.

“I actually leaned into my son’s mother’s ear and I said ‘I swear to God if he checks his watch one more time…’ and [that] was probably only four times in,” recalled Mark Schmitz, the father of 20-year-old Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, during a follow-up appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show.

“I couldn’t look at him anymore after that, considering, especially, the time and why we were there,” Schmitz added. “I found it to be the most disrespectful thing I’d ever seen.”

Biden has since continued his track record of disrespecting the families of lost soldiers, initially ignoring the parents of three service members killed by a drone attack in Jordan last January.

He again brought up Beau when he finally did meet with them, just as he did when meeting with the survivors of the Lahaina, Hawaii wildfire tragedy.

And during a disasterous June debate with former President Donald Trump, Biden insulted not only the Gold Star families, but the entire American public by blatantly lying about his track-record as commander-in-chief.

Trump, who attended a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday to honor the families, was the “only person who has reached out to our family over and over again and to all 13 families,” Juels said

“Him coming out here today and honoring these kids who served, and spending the time talking to all of us and doing this ceremony and showing them honor and respect and dignity,” she added. “We need President Trump back in office.”

During the call with Vance, the Gold Star families also blasted Biden and Harris for not attending the memorial at the Arlington National Cemetery alongside Trump.

“I think this administration has shown they have treated the Afghanistan withdrawal like the plague—they’ve stayed as far away from it as they possibly can,” Schmitz said. “I’m not surprised in the least bit that neither one of them would show up for this event.”

Trump’s presence at the event, on the other hand, “was genuine,” Schmitz added.

“I don’t see this as being part of his political campaign in any way, shape or form,” Schmitz said. “He has always vowed to be there for us—since we met with him early on—and he has never let us down.”

Juels agreed and said Trump was “the only president who kept our men and women safe who were serving this country. We will do whatever we can to get him back into office so that we can keep the men and women serving this country safe again,” she added.

Kopy-Kat Kamala Now Wants Voters to Believe She Would Build Trump’s Border Wall

(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris, Democrats’ newly anointed presidential candidate, flip-flopped on yet another issue this month, expressing support for a border wall despite having spent the past four years blasting the proposal by former President Donald Trump as “un-American” and a “stupid waste of money.”

In her speech at the Democratic National Convention last week, Harris pledged to back a bipartisan “border security” bill supported by the Senate but rejected by the House as an inadequate response to the illegal immigration crisis.

Critics said the bill would simply allocate more money to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s aggressive open-border effort to streamline the processing and entry of illegals into the country.

The bill includes $650 million in funding for Trump’s border wall, which the Biden administration promptly stopped building upon assuming office, later selling the material as scrap metal for pennies on the dollar.

While the pittance is far less than what Trump had sought,” Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., who was one of the bill’s sponsors claimed it was drafted with Trump’s vision in mind.

“It is in the bill itself that it sets the standards that were set during the Trump administration,” Lankford told Axios: “Here’s where it will be built. Here’s how it has to be built, the height, the type, everything during the Trump construction.”

Harris’s campaign advisers insisted, however, that the bill doesn’t allocate new resources to Trump’s border wall, and that it would only allow the funds Trump had already allocated for the project to be spent on it.

Nonetheless, the far-left Harris’s sudden support for continuing the project marked a drastic departure from her previous position on the issue.

In 2019, for example, when Harris was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination, she blasted the border wall as a “medieval vanity project” that would not stop cartel members or drug smugglers from illegally crossing the border.

In February 2020, she wrote on social media, “Trump’s border wall is a complete waste of taxpayer money and won’t make us any safer.”

And shortly after joining the Senate in April 2017, she said the wall was a “stupid use of money” and vowed to “block any funding for it.”

Lankford said he was surprised to see Harris endorse the border security bill, given her previous comments and given her lack of earlier interest in the legislation.

“We never saw any vice president staff here. … She was a Johnny-come-never,” he said.

Trump’s campaign national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, slammed Harris’s about-face, arguing her “actions speak much louder than the words of the anonymous staff she is cowering behind.”

Biden’s America: Bald Eagle ‘Too Fat to Fly’ after Roadkill Binge

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) In what may be a fitting symbol of the excesses and overindulgence of the United States under the Biden–Harris admininstration, the National Park Service announced that even America’s most majestic national symbol, the bald eagle, has fallen victim to the obesity epidemic, Fox News reported.

Park officials at Missouri’s Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield believed they were rescuing a wounded eagle. However, X-ray testing later revealed that the bird had simply eaten too much roadkill.

“The bird, originally reported to be injured, was found to be healthy but engorged with raccoon—in other words, too fat to fly,” the park said in a Facebook post last week.

The X-rays, taken at Dickerson Park Zoo, revealed that the eagle had consumed what appeared to be the paw of a “roadkill raccoon.”

Park officials, along with the Missouri Department of Conservation and zoo professionals, suspected that the eagle had eaten a dead raccoon off the side of the road.

Bald eagles usually eat fish, but according to the American Bald Eagle Foundation, the birds will “feed on what is most available, and requiring the least amount of energy to acquire it.”

Officials with the Missouri Department of Conservation released the eagle where they found it in the park.

After the story broke, though, the irony surrounding the rotund raptor was noted by pundits and social-media users alike, making it one of the few things Americans could agree on.

“Wildlife officials in Missouri are taking care of a bald eagle that’s too fat to fly because it ate too much roadkill,” talk show host Jack Pattie said. “Ladies and gentleman: America in one sentence.”

“They named him ‘Boeing,’” another user, Viktor, commented, in reference to the embattled aviation company that recently stranded two astronauts in space.

“I hope Robert Kennedy Jr. has got the time in his schedule to make all the animals in the US healthy too. #MAHA,” wrote user @EnforceTheTruth in another topical nod to the recent Donald Trump endorser. “This is where America is at, even the birds need help.”

According to NPS, Wilson’s Creek Battlefield was the site of the second battle of the American Civil War. The confrontation was the first significant battle to the west of the Mississippi River.

The Confederates won the battle, drawing national attention to the state of Missouri and the western side of the river.

Hush Money? Records Show Biden/Harris Campaign Paid $15K to Emhoff’s Ex in 2020

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Investigative journalist Laura Loomer alleged in a recent X post that the Biden–Harris campaign in 2020 paid hush money to the ex-wife of second gent Doug Emhoff.

The allegations follow a bombshell revelation that Emhoff—the current husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the Democrat nominee for president—effected the end of his first marriage by impregnating his children’s nanny.

Kerstin Emhoff, the second gent’s first wife, who is now CEO of a film-production company called Ventureland, received a payment from the campaign for nearly $15,000 in 2020.

Moreover, she has reportedly contracted with the 2024 Harris–Walz campaign for video production services, including some of the work at the recent Democratic National Convention.

She posted an Instagram picture of herself inside Chicago’s United Center with the caption “So excited for this week!”

A post shared by Kerstin Emhoff (@kemhoff)

Loomer speculated that the payments had helped to placate Kerstin Emhoff, who recently revealed in an interview with CNN how much she loved sharing her children with Harris.

Behind the scenes, however, “They aren’t the big ‘blended happy family’ they want to pretend to be,” Loomer wrote.

The childless Harris has sought to normalize herself to voters by appearing to be the co-parent to Emhoff’s children, claiming they had affectionately dubbed her “Momala,” even though Cole, 29, and Ella, 25, were both in their late teens when she married their father in 2014.

“To know Cole and Ella is to know that their mother, Kerstin, is an incredible mother,” Harris wrote in a 2019 essay for Elle magazine, claiming that she and Kerstin were “dear friends” and a “duo of cheerleaders” for the kids.

“We sometimes joke that our modern family is almost a little too functional,” Harris claimed, adding that the nontraditional family is perfectly possible “if everyone approaches it in the way that there’s plenty of love to share.”

In addition to pointing out the hush-money mayments, Loomer reported that both Ventureland and Pretty Bird—another one of Kerstin Emhoff’s companies—shared an office building with NPR, which, like most of the corporate media, appears to favor Harris.

Kamala Grants Interview to Leftist CNN Anchor Dana Bash

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris has finally agreed to an interview after weeks of avoiding the press since being anointed as the Democratic nominee for president.

Those expecting a tough interview with hard-hitting questions might find themselves disappointed because it will be held on CNN and hosted by left-leaning anchor Dana Bash.

In an unusual move, Harris will also share the spotlight with her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

The pre-taped interview will air at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, roughly 39 days after President Joe Biden exited the 2024 race and endorsed Harris as his successor.

Since announcing her presidential bid, Harris has avoided major media interactions. Instead, she has opted to speak off-the-record, meaning reporters cannot report or repeat her statements.

Despite clinching the Democratic nomination, Harris has yet to issue a major policy platform or thoroughly explain why her aides have walked back some of her most radical policies.

Harris, once dubbed the most liberal senator, has reversed her positions on a range of issues, including Medicare-for-All, fracking, re-structuring ICE, and more recently, her criticism of the border wall and support for an electric vehicle mandate.

She has also distanced herself from decriminalizing illegal border crossings, packing the Supreme Court, defunding the police and the Green New Deal.

On social media, several Harris critics pointed out that Bash suggested that Bash is unlikely to challenge Harris on her frequent flip-flopping or clarify which policies she currently supports.

Some noted that Bash was once married to Jeremy Bash, an Obama administration operative involved in the infamous letter incorrectly suggesting the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Bash’s leftist bias is further highlighted in a video compilation by the Media Research Center.

And recently, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, criticized Bash after she defended Walz in a baffling response to his stolen valor scandal.

In contrast, President Donald Trump has praised Bash for her “fair” interviews during the first presidential debate that ultimately led to Biden’s ouster from the 2024 ticket. “They were very fair,” Trump said before jesting about Bash’s first name. “Is it Dah-Na? Of Dana?”

RINOs Oust Colorado GOP Chair in Contentious Vote that He Dismisses as ‘Sham’

(Headline USA) Colorado GOP Chairman Dave Williams was ousted over the weekend in a vote that he called illegitimate, precipitating a leadership standoff as the November election looms.

Williams’s tenure as chair led to party infighting as he leaned into public attacks on RINOs who refused to support GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and the America First movement.

The growing resistance culminated in Saturday’s vote, with a majority of the 180 or so state party central committee members or proxies in attendance voting to oust him.

In a news release, the Colorado GOP called the meeting a “sham,” noting that the meeting lacked a quorum of the more than 400 committee members. Williams said they can only seek to remove officers at the upcoming Aug. 31 meeting.

“This fringe minority faction knows they cannot get their way in a fair meeting where the rules are fairly administered,” said Williams in a text message.

The conflict comes down to an interpretation of the bylaws, and the decision could end in the hands of the Republican National Committee.

The National Republican Congressional Committee, which works to elect Republicans in the U.S. House, said it would recognize the vote and the newly elected leadership.

But Williams said in a text that the NRCC has “no authority to do anything.”

The drama underscored the challenges that Republicans face in Colorado, a once-red state that rapidly flipped blue after becoming the first to legalize recreational marijuana use. That led to an influx of drug users and enthusiasts in Denver, Boulder and other urban centers. Homelessness and illegal immigration have also been notable scourges.

State GOP politics were further thrown into disarray this year after Rep. Lauren Boebert, a staunch Trump supporter, decided to switch districts.

Boebert moved to the solid-red district held previously by retiring Rep. Ken Buck after a Democrat challenger in her old district campaigned on Boebert’s controversial status to draw big checks from Aspen elites and dark-money billionaires.

After narrowly winning her 2022 race to the same challenger, Boebert argued that remaining in the recently redrawn district would guarantee the loss of a GOP seat. She handily won the primary in Buck’s district, where several other Republicans had already launched their own campaigns and accused her of “carpet-bagging.”

Opposition to Williams grew as the party under his leadership endorsed certain Republican primary candidates over others, a move that state parties tend to avoid, at least publicly.

He was also accused of using state party resources to benefit his own failed congressional primary election bid in the House seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Doug Lamborn, a safe-red district that encompasses Colorado Springs.

Williams, a former state lawmaker, was criticized for refusing to step down as party chair after joining the race.

Emails and posts from the party attacking the LGBT community, including a call to burn “Pride” flags, were also met with disappointment from some fellow Republicans.
