BREAKING: U.S. Judge Enters $2.75M Judgment against Patriot Front

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) U.S. judge Indira Talwani has entered a default judgment against the white nationalist group Patriot Front, its leader Thomas Rousseau, and 99 anonymous group members—ordering them to pay more than $2.7 million to a black man they allegedly accosted in July 2022 in an incident where no criminal charges were filed.

Talwani granted plaintiff Charles Murrell III’s motion for a default judgment on Monday after the Patriot Front refused to participate in the litigation. Talwani awarded Murrell $25,000 for physical injuries, $500,000 for psychological injuries and emotional distress damages, $230,000 in special damages for lost wages and earning opportunities, and $2,000,000 in punitive damages—for a total judgment of $2,755,000.

According to Murrell, he was heading to the Boston Public Library to play his saxophone on July 2, 2022, when he was surrounded by members of the Patriot Front and assaulted in a “coordinated, brutal, and racially motivated attack.”

“Almost immediately, members of Patriot Front surrounded Mr. Murrell. Using tactics that Patriot Front members had practiced at training sessions preceding their Boston ‘flash’ march, Patriot Front members then began to beat Mr. Murrell with their metal shields, eventually pressing him against a concrete pole and knocking him to the ground,” Murrell’s lawsuit said.

Licha Nyiendo, the chief legal officer at Human Rights First, which backed Murrell in the lawsuit, told the Associated Press that the lawsuit isn’t just intended to bring about justice and accountability—but also to bankrupt Patriot Front.

“Our goal is to decimate this extremist group,” she said, “and bring a national spotlight to the dangers of their extremist ideology.”

It’s not clear how Nyiendo intends to collect on the default judgment, as the Patriot Front is not a legal entity and Rousseau has no assets.

Patriot Front members, for their part, are seemingly denying the lawsuit’s allegations. Attorney Jason Lee Van Dyke, who has represented Patriot Front members in prior cases, told the AP that “Charles Murrell is not telling the truth.”

“I happen to have seen the raw video footage and it was clear that Charles Murrell was the aggressor and no one with Patriot Front did anything unlawful.” he said. “His assertion that he was beaten is factually incorrect.”

No one has been charged in connection with the attack on Murrell.

The Patriot Front has note responded Headline USA’s inquiries seeking a response to the plaintiffs’ allegations.

Trump Appears Open to Boosting SALT Cap to Help Blue States

() President-elect Donald Trump is open to raising the state and local tax cap, a tax code provision that affects wealthy households in Democrat-run states, but the move could prove costly.

U.S. lawmakers are considering changes to the $10,000 SALT deduction cap as part of their efforts to extend the expiring parts of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

The state and local tax, or SALT, deduction allows taxpayers who itemize when filing federal taxes to deduct certain taxes paid to state and local governments.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget said raising the SALT cap could reduce revenue by $170 billion. That’s on top of the nearly $4 trillion cost of extending the provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Recent talks have centered on increasing the cap from $10,000 to $20,000 for married tax filers. CFRB noted “it would also further increase the deficit effect of TCJA extension, provide a windfall to higher earners in high-tax states, and undermine tax simplicity.”

Households making more than $200,000 a year in high-tax states like New York and California would get 94% of the benefits of raising the cap, according to CFRB research.

Before the 2017 TCJA, 91% of the benefit of the SALT deduction was claimed by people with income above $100,000 and concentrated in six states: California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas and Pennsylvania, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation.

Blue-state Republicans left a meeting with Trump confident in the president-elect’s support of raising the $10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions, Roll Call reported Monday.

“He gave us the homework to identify a number that could work and cover the vast majority of the middle-class families that we represent,” Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., told Roll Call.

“What is the number that would provide relief for our middle-class families that can get consensus so we can reach the 218 [votes threshold] and that works within this Rubik’s cube of reconciliation within the topline number that we’re provided by the Budget Committee?,” she added. “That’s the real question.”

WaPo’s Fake Republican Teams w/ Notorious Lawfare Activist for Anti-Trump Propaganda Site

(Matthew Doarnberger, Headline USA) Longtime opinion columnist Jennifer Rubin—a never-Trump RINO, whose positions have led many conservative critics to question whether she is right-wing at all—may soon be leaving her position at the Washington Post.

According to CNN, Rubin is planning a startup publication called The Contrarian with Norm Eisen, another notorious Trump foe who has been at the forefront of several high-profile lawfare attacks against the GOP leader.

Eisen, who previously served as the “ethics czar” for the Obama administration—during which unethical conduct ran rampant—is also the force behind Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, the group that brought lawsuits against Trump in an effort to prevent him from appearing on the ballot in several states.

Eisen was a top deputy of special counsel Robert Mueller during the two-year investigation of Trump and his associates as part of the Russia-collusion hoax. He also participated in a regular phone call with Trump enemies in both the media and legal fields, during which they coordinated strategies together.

Rubin’s exit comes following several rounds of recent layoffs and left-wing backlash over owner Jeff Bezos’s refusal to allow the newspaper to endorse Democrat Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Over 250,000 subscriptions to the Post, which amount to 10% of their digital subscribers, were cancelled after the blocked endorsement.

“Our goal is to combat, with every fiber of our being, the authoritarian threat that we face,” Rubin complained in a CNN interview explaining her departure.

“The Post, along with most mainstream news outlets, has failed spectacularly at a moment that we most need a robust, aggressive free press,” she continued. “I fear that things are going from bad to worse at The Post.”

In addition to the blocking of the Harris endorsement, Rubin cited other controversies that caused her to step down from her position. Among them were the Bezos-owned Amazon.com donating $1 million to the Trump inaugural fund and the Post’s refusal to publish a satirical cartoon depicting Bezos bending a knee to the President-elect. The creator of the cartoon, Ann Telnaes, also resigned following the refusal.

Eisen also took the opportunity to describe why he thought the creation of The Contrarian was so important for both himself and Rubin.

“The voices we’ll be featuring are diverse across parties and generations,” he claimed. “Connected by the shared belief that we need an unshackled media in order to meet this moment, as we face an existential threat to American democracy.”

The new publication is set to offer some of its content for free but charge $7 a month for complete access to columns, podcasts and videos. Eisen is set to be The Contrarian’s publisher with Rubin as its editor and chief.

Mark Zuckerberg Reportedly Removes Tampon Dispensers from Men’s Bathrooms

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s effort to reform the social media company’s left-wing office culture includes removing  tampons from themmen’s bathrooms, according to the New York Times.

Citing two employees, the Times reported Friday that the company had provided for nonbinary and transgender employees who use the men’s room and who may have required sanitary pads. But that’s no longer the case, they said.

“At Meta’s offices in Silicon Valley, Texas and New York, facilities managers were instructed to remove tampons from men’s bathrooms,” the Times reported. “Some employees were livid at what they saw as efforts by executives to hide changes to the ‘Hateful Conduct’ policy before it was announced.”

The Times also reported that Meta removed the transgender and nonbinary “themes” on its Messenger chat app.

“At least one person announced their resignation as others privately relayed to one another that they planned to look for jobs elsewhere,” the Times added.

In a story that published on the same day, 404 Media also interviewed five anonymous Meta employees who said they’re “furious” with the changes.

“It’s total chaos internally at Meta right now,” one current employee told 404 Media.

“The entire thread of comments shared is dissent toward the new policy, save for one leader repeating Zuckerberg talking points. I’d call the mood shock and disbelief. It’s embarrassment and shame that feels self-inflicted, different than mistakes the company has made in the past,” the employee reportedly added.

“No one is excited or happy about these changes. And obviously the employees who identify as being part of the LGBTQ+ community are especially unhappy and feel the most unsupported in this,” another employee told 404 Media. “A small number of people are taking time off and are sharing that they are considering leaving the company due to this change.”

The dissent is spilling out in internal Meta chatgroups. One employee reportedly wrote that they needed time off because they’re gay—and therefore mentally ill.

“I am LGBT and Mentally Ill,” the employee posted on an internal Meta platform called Workplace this week, according to 404 Media. “Just to let you know that I’ll be taking time out to look after my mental health.”

Meta didn’t respond to 404 Media’s questions about the matter.

Carrie Underwood to Perform at Trump’s Inauguration

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Country music star Carrie Underwood will perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

The Trump transition team confirmed Underwood’s slated performance of “America the Beautiful” at his inauguration to Axios on Monday.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future,” Underwood said, according to @PopBase on X.

The Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club will join Underwood in her patriotic performance, Axios noted.

The Grammy-winning musician’s performance at Trump’s second swearing-in ceremony comes following the entertainment industry’s widespread refusal to align with the Republican during his 2017 inauguration.

Underwood’s appearance signifies that the stigma of celebrities associating with Trump, a former reality television star, has dissipated.

Washington Reporter Editor-in-Chief Matthew Foldi shared a photo of the program for Trump’s inauguration, which listed Underwood next to “America the Beautiful.”

Trump supporters on social media rejoiced at the announcement of Underwood’s performance, noting how “things have changed.”

“I’ve never liked Carrie Underwood’s music but I’m about to turn that Spotify playlist on and bump her until my speakers blow out,” podcaster Joey Mannarino wrote on X. “Finally someone with the principles to stand up for what’s RIGHT AND JUST!”

Other Trump supporters praised Underwood’s “beautiful voice,” with some saying they are attracted to the country music star.

Leftists also reacted to Underwood’s apparent support for Trump on the social media platform, with one saying, “the signs were there.”

“Are you all really surprised about carrie underwood performing at the inauguration??? Please,” another leftist wrote on X.

X user @Suzierizzo1, who has “Harris for President” written in her X bio, chimed in and said she is “blocking” and “boycotting” all of Underwood’s music on her music apps.

Team Trump also released the schedule for the president-elect’s inaugural celebration on Monday, which included fireworks, a candlelit dinner and a massive victory rally ahead of the inauguration.

Fox News Host Announces New Show

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Will Cain, who currently co-hosts Fox and Friends Weekend, announced Monday he will have his own show in the 4 p.m. slot on Fox News Channel.

Cain will take one spot previously occupied by former Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto, 66, who worked as a business journalist on the network since its start 28 years ago. Cavuto declined extending his contract and hosted his last show on Dec. 19, 2024.

“So I’ve got some news. And I couldn’t be more excited!” Cain wrote on social media, reposting a TV News Now announcement.

The Will Cain Show will premiere on Jan. 21—one day after President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Fox News contributor Charlie Hurt will replace Cain as co-host of Fox and Friends Weekend starting on Jan. 18, network CEO Suzanne Scott revealed Monday along with an array of other programming changes across Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

“As the media landscape continues to evolve, we are always looking to innovate our programming lineup to meet the needs of our viewers, and we are confident the new lineup will best position FOX News Media for the future,” Scott said in a statement. “Will Cain brings years of experience to the 4 p.m. hour as an accomplished broadcaster and a lawyer and we look forward to adding his insights to what will no doubt be another historic news cycle ahead this year.”

Cain’s show will expand beyond Cavuto’s business-centric approach, taking on politics, culture and sports in addition to the topic, according to Fox News.

“It has been an honor to wake up with America these past four years and I am thrilled to apply my background in news, law, entertainment and business to help our viewers better understand the headlines through thought-provoking content and analysis every weekday afternoon,” Cain said.

Other changes include The Fox Report and The Big Weekend Show expanding to two hours on Saturdays and Sundays beginning on Jan. 18, Fox News revealed.

Fox Business’s Dagen McDowell will also expand her airtime by joining The Big Money Show from 12-2 p.m. as she continues to host The Bottom Line at 6 p.m., according to the network. McDowell’s new hours start on Jan. 27.

‘Disaster Tourists’: Actress Takes Aim at Meghan Markle, Prince Harry for California Fire ‘Photo-Op’

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Actress Justine Bateman took aim at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on Saturday over the couple’s California fire photo-op.

Bateman called out the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for visiting damage from the Palisades fire as though it were a tourist attraction, labeling the duo “disaster tourists.”

“Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers,” the Family Ties star wrote on social media. “What a repulsive ‘photo op’ they achieved.”

The actress continued, “They are ‘touring the damage’? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”

Markle and her husband were seen in Pasadena chatting with the city’s mayor, Victor Gordo, on Friday, video captured by Fox 11 Los Angeles shows.

Netflix announced Sunday that “at the request of Meghan,” the release of Markle’s upcoming cooking show would be delayed until March. The series, titled With Love, Meghan, was supposed to premiere on Jan. 15.

Markle’s “tone-deaf” culinary comeback faced blowback on social media, with many blasting the ex-royal for her inauthenticity.

The 43-year-old former actress branded her new eight-episode show as an “at home” look inside her food-making adventures—but filmed it in an $8 million rented mansion down the road from her Montecito residence, according to the Daily Mail.

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Markle said of the show’s delayed release.

Outspoken host Dan Wootton slammed Markle for “cosplaying as humanitarian,” calling her visit to the wreckage of California’s fires “a Netflix PR stunt.”

One X user suggested Netflix “decided to shelve” the duchess’s show over lack of enthusiasm because “nobody wants to watch this race-baiting narcissist who lives in constant victimhood.”

Another X user added Markle did not want to compete with the California fires for attention, saying, “This just about sums her up.”

Candace Owens: French President Made Threat over Exposé on Wife’s True Identity

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Political commentator Candace Owens said Friday that French President Emmanuel Macron gave her a legal threat over her theory that his wife, Brigitte, is a man.

Owns repeatedly explored the possibility that France’s first lady “has a penis,” making multiple videos explaining the reason she questions Brigitte Macron’s transgender identity.

Owens revealed that she received a letter on behalf of Macron from a process server on dated Dec. 3, 2024, which characterized the former Daily Wire host’s coverage of the theory in March 2024 as a “defamatory” disinformation campaign.

“Mrs. Macron does not owe you proof that she is, and always has been, a woman,” the legal letter states, adding that Brigitte Macron’s gender identity “is none of your business.”

Owens raised an eyebrow over the effort put into silencing talk of the French first lady’s potential transgender identity, saying, “That’s a lot of effort for something that can be so easily debunked.”

She wondered aloud, “Wouldn’t you just answer the question at a certain point?”

The legal letter included the following passage: “These allegations are defamatory for multiple reasons. At the outset, it must be clear that there is nothing defamatory or reputationally damaging about being transgender. But what is defamatory and highly damaging is attacking the integrity and credibility of President and Mrs. Macron with this vicious rumor that they are lying and manipulating the French people — one you knew was false at the time of publication.”

Owens called the Macrons’ letter “insane,” especially for a foreign leader to send a legal letter to someone in another country over online speech.

She mentioned there were “a lot of odd things” about the legal letter, such as how the sender urged for it not to be publicized.

“It came across that they wanted to keep this rather hush hush,” Owens said.

Owens is not the only person to face the ire of the French over theories that Brigette Macron is a man. A spiritual medium and an independent journalist went on trial in France over a YouTube interview in which they discussed the transgender theory, according to France24.

Both women were found guilty of slander, BBC News reported in September 2024. They were ordered to pay thousands in damages to Brigitte Macron and the French first lady’s brother, who the theory claims could actually be Brigitte’s identity pre-transition.

Newscum Succeeds in Laundering His ‘Disinfo’ Deflection via Ex-White House Shill Psaki

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., appeared to succeed in laundering his California fires “disinformation” deflection Sunday as MSNBC’s Jen Psaki regurgitated his talking point.

Instead of addressing his state’s leftist policy-induced infernos head-on, Newsom spent his time trashing President-elect Donald Trump on television and spouting “disinformation” claims as California burns.

From passing the buck to locals to telling NBC News he is just beginning to lay out a plan, Newsom took heat for appearing to prioritize photo-ops over helping his newly devastated and homeless constituents.

Rather than ask President Joe Biden for help fighting his state’s fires, Newsom pleaded the lame duck Democrat to “deal with this misinformation” during a video meeting on Friday.

Psaki, a former Biden press secretary, pedaled Newsom’s spin on her Sunday show, Inside with Jen Psaki.

“And with these fires still burning, we are facing important questions about how to mitigate and prevent disasters like this in the future,” she told her viewers. “In fact, these leaders will need to confront a very complicated and challenging reality moving forward.”

Psaki blamed Trump and allies like Tesla founder Elon Musk for “injecting half truths, misinformation and flat out lies in some cases in order to score a version of political points.”

The MSNBC host failed to mention Democrats politicizing the California fires, of which many claim are a result of “climate change.”

Conservatives on social media raised the alarm on the left’s nonsense climate change narrative, with some suggesting arson as the cause of separate fires in locations including Palisades, Eaton, Woodley, Hurst and Lidia.

Trump, who warned about California’s poor environmental management during his first term, slammed Newsom as the fires burned.

The president-elect pointed to the state’s water-conserving policies as the reason for empty fire hydrants, urging “Governor Gavin Newscum” to “open up the water main” to save his people and their homes.

“NO MORE EXCUSES FROM THIS INCOMPETENT GOVERNOR. IT’S ALREADY FAR TOO LATE!” Trump wrote in one of many Truth Social posts.

Kentucky Considers Bill to Entice Gold and Silver Investors to Sue the State for Wrongful Taxation

(Jp Cortez, Money Metals News Service) After a multi-year effort backed by Money Metals, the Sound Money Defense League, and other in-state allies, the Kentucky legislature approved a bill that included ending the sales tax on purchases of precious metals in 2024.

However, Gov. Beshear used an unconstitutional line-item veto on the gold and silver sales tax exemption when he did not have the power to do so, sneering, “If you own gold, you can afford to pay sales tax.”

Despite the sales tax exemption on the metals being codified in state statutes and an opinion from the state Attorney General declaring the veto invalid, the governor directed his department of revenue to continue collecting the tax, threatening businesses and investors who did not comply with legal action.

In response, freshman legislator Rep. T.J. Roberts has introduced House Bill 2, a measure that would give aggrieved taxpayers a legal remedy to sue state officials for improper taxation on the purchase of gold and silver in the Bluegrass State.

The bill says, “any aggrieved taxpayer who has had taxes collected from them in any purchase that are exempt under KRS 139.480(37), may maintain an action for a refund on behalf of themselves and others similarly situated, without need to resort to any administrative process, against any person collecting or holding such tax funds, including the Secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue.”

This bill is supported and sponsored by the majority of GOP-leadership and was even assigned a single-digit House Bill number, a designation usually assigned to priority bills with strong support.

Rep. Roberts told the Sound Money Defense League, “Gov. Beshear has engaged in illegal action in order to block legislation he does not like. This is a blatant abuse of separation of powers.”

“Citizens of Kentucky, or of any state in the United States, for that matter, shouldn’t be taxed for trying to use, buy, or transact in honest, sound money,” the liberty firebrand from District 66 continued.

Aggrieved taxpayers who prevail will be entitled to reimbursement of their attorney’s fees and legal costs.
