(Headline USA) Shortly after launching her presidential campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars to encourage Americans to vote this November, the Daily Mail reported.
In a clip released on Tuesday, Harris can be seen sitting with RuPaul drag queens Michelle Visage and Jamal Sims, *NYSYNC singer Lance Bass, Ghosbusters actress Leslie Jones, and American Horror Story actor Cheyenee Jackson.
“Each day, we are seeing our rights and freedoms under attack, including the right of everyone to be who they are, love who they love, openly and with pride,” Harris said.
“So as we fight back against these attacks, let’s all remember, no one is alone,” she continued. “We are all in this together—and your vote is your power, so please make sure your voice is heard this November and register to vote at vote.gov.”
Following Harris’s message, Jackson replied, “Can I get an Amen?”
Jones then added, “You betta vote!” before the group started dancing and Harris broke out in her signature cackle.
According to the show, Harris’s cameo was filmed well before President Joe Biden decided to end his reelection bid. But the episode aired live this week, just days after Biden endorsed Harris as the next presumptive Democratic nominee.
With the appearance, Harris became the first sitting vice president to appear on the LGBT show. Other prominent Democrats have previously appeared on the show, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., in 2018 and 2022, and “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., in 2020.
Pelosi used her appearances to push voters to the polls as well, saying at the time, “It’s very important for people to make their voices and their vote heard.”
Critics predicted Americans will see much more of this from Harris as her candidacy for the White House ramps up.
“Gov Abbott just dropped off several hundred illegal aliens in front of Kamala Harris’ home! KEEP THEM COMING!” @leslibless wrote, posting a video of illegals in front of Harris’s residence.
Gov Abbott just dropped off several hundred illegal aliens in front of Kamala Harris’ home! 😂😂😂😂
In the video that was included in the post, the reporter said that hundreds of illegals have been standing in front of Harris’s residence.
“These buses have been dropped off. They [illegals] have been put on her lap, essentially. It seems like it’s an increasingly aggressive campaign not only from Gov. Abbott” but also from other Republican leaders as well, another reporter said.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., was among those leaders. He also adopted the practice of sending illegals to the far-left states and areas that have never been affected by illegals flooding their communities so that they would start helping to solve the problem instead of just virtue signaling.
“The goal of these border governors is to bring this issue home to people who don’t usually have to deal with it. Gov. Abbott, Gov. Doug Ducey [R-Ariz.], and Gov. DeSantis have been saying for months that this shouldn’t be just our problem, and in the last three or four months or so, they decided it’s not going to be just our problem,” the second reporter said.
People in the video’s comments section gleefully responded to the recent news.
“Nice little gift for [“Heels up”] Harris,” one of the people wrote, referring to the fact that Harris started her career in politics by having sex with influential people.
Harris was responsible for the southern border of the country, which resulted in millions of people entering the country illegally. Since Harris was declared a de-facto presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, the mass media did everything possible to remove any information that proved Harris was responsible for the invasion of illegals and get rid of the label “border czar” that the mass media created themselves.
(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) During President Joe Biden’s address to the nation on Wednesday—his first official appearance since dropping his presidential campaign—viewers noted a substantial bruise on the left side of Biden’s jaw, prompting speculation that he may have been physically beaten, the Gateway Pundit reported.
Right-wing political commentator Robby Starbuck questioned whether or not the White House would bother to explain the bruise, or simply remain silent.
So, is the White House going to explain the big bruise on Biden’s lower jaw or pretend it doesn’t exist? I’m betting they pretend it doesn’t exist. pic.twitter.com/x02IKXGif8
Considerable speculation has surrounded Biden’s weeklong leave of absence after he abruptly canceled a Las Vegas fundraising trip citing a coronavirus infection.
Biden, 81, did not appear, however, to be exhibiting any symptoms, nor was he adhering to any of the recommeneded precautionary measures provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for mitigating the spread of the deadly virus.
Following his surprise announcement last Sunday, the White House cleared his schedule, leaving some to wonder about his health and well-being. By Tuesday, those rumors had begun to center on whether he might even be gravely ill or dead.
Reports also suggested that Biden had not arrived at the decision to exit the presidential race on his own but had been coerced into doing so by party elites, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who threatened to invoke the 25th Amendment and have him declared unfit for office.
In his address, Biden attempted to reassure Americans that he was acting for “the cause of American democracy itself” by giving up his ambitions to help Democrats defeat Donald Trump, whom they are once again framing as the enemy of democracy.
“In recent weeks it has become clear to me that I need to unite my party in this critical endeavor,” Biden told viewers. “Nothing—nothing—can come in the way of saving democracy.”
Calling the current election cycle “a time and a place for new voices,” he concluded that he must step aside and let Vice President Kamala Harris try to ascend to the highest office in the nation.
Still, not all were convinced. Even liberal celebrity Piers Morgan excoriated Democrats for their unceremonious treatment of Biden—not to mention democracy itself.
Joe Biden didn’t ’pass the torch’ to Kamala Harris as he so disingenuously claimed in his sad, uninspiring address tonight. He had his presidency & career torched by Democrat arsonists Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Clooney etc. pic.twitter.com/b2KjG3WnW5
“Joe Biden didn’t ‘pass the torch’ to Kamala Harris as he so disingenuously claimed in his sad, uninspiring address tonight,” Morgan wrote. “He had his presidency & career torched by Democrat arsonists Obama, Pelosia, Schumer, Clooney etc.”
As for the bruise—Biden would not be the first Democrat to resurface with a mysterious injury after visiting Sin City.
The late Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nevada, donned an eye bandage in the waning days of his congressional career after claiming to have been the victim of a bathroom mishap involving an elastic exercise band.
Rumors swirled that the episode—which blinded him in one eye, as well as leaving him with several broken ribs and bones in his face—was either Mafia-related or was the result of a domestic tiff with his ne’er-do-well brother Larry during a drunken New Year’s Eve brawl.
Although Reid denied the rumors, speculation persisted that he was being less than forthcoming in his explanation for the injuries.
Headline USA’s Ben Sellers contributed to this report.
From the onset of the June 27 debate, Biden, 81, struggled, speaking in a weak, raspy voice. He repeatedly tripped over his words and lost his train of thought, often trailing off inaudibly.
Mainstream media outlets were forced to acknowledge Biden’s shockingly bad debate performance.
Right-leaning news organizations were quick to point out that Biden’s frailty and cognitive issues were something they had been covering for months or longer.
The Center Square reached out to a professor of journalism at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash., for his perspective on how the media’s coverage of Biden’s decline may or may not impact consumers’ trust in the fourth estate.
Derek Moscato teaches classes in public relations and news media at WWU.
“Unfortunately, depending on what media you subscribe to, you were getting different stories,” Moscato said. “That is until recently, when there has been a broader consensus emerging that there were concerning health issues for the president.”
That could have an impact on reporters and editors.
“It’s going to be tougher to be a journalist and even more with media audiences in general,” Moscato said. “It’s sometimes hard to find out what is actually going on.”
Trust in mainstream media has been under water and declining for years. A March 2024 The Center Square Voters’ Voice poll found that just 43% of Americans say the media is trustworthy, compared with 54% who said it is not trustworthy.
Reflecting on how recent events may impact journalism and the students he teaches – who hope to enter the profession – Moscato said he went back to the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics delineating journalists’ rights and responsibilities.
“It’s contingent upon journalists to sometimes get beyond what is presented to [them] through a press office or a politician’s handlers and to get beyond that surface level,” Moscato said.
“For some reporters, they were content to hear he’s in good health and they said that’s good enough for me,” the professor continued. “Until we as a nation saw in that debate that there were some concerns – and that didn’t break down on party lines – it was just acknowledging, yes, there’s an issue.”
Moscato told The Center Square the debate over how the media has handled Biden’s declining health opens up an opportunity to examine corporate newsrooms.
“There’s been gatekeeping in newsrooms, particularly large newsrooms, and that’s a thing in terms of what stories are emphasized or amplified and which stories reporters are put on,” he observed.
Criticism of the media and a close examination of how journalists did and did not cover Biden’s health issues ahead of the debate are worthy of serious consideration, according to Moscato.
“I think more than ever we need those independent reporters who will go against the grain to get the story right or get the story that’s not being told,” he said.
Moscato emphasized that journalists should act independently.
“That’s why I think we’re seeing such a rise of independent journalists and reporters, blogs, podcasts, you name it,” he said. “People are flocking to them.”
Another positive: it’s a good source of debate in the classroom.
“It’s a good, healthy thing to go back and ask. What are my journalistic values, as opposed to what am I feeling pressured to write about on any given day, or what are sources pressuring me to write about?” he asked. “This can be a positive experience from the journalism student’s perspective, because there’s a lot to chew on here.”
Trump announced his intention Friday afternoon via Truth Social, saying he planned to return to the town where he was nearly killed after a bullet grazed his ear approximately 15 minutes into his speech to a packed house at the Butler Farm Show Grounds.
“I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR A BIG AND BEAUTIFUL RALLY, HONORING THE SOUL OF OUR BELOVED FIREFIGHTING HERO, COREY, AND THOSE BRAVE PATRIOTS INJURED TWO WEEKS AGO,” he wrote.
“WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE — FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!” he added, alluding to his newly famous catchphrase after he defiantly arose and pumped his fist, blood gushing from his wound, to reassure the audience that he would survive.
Details regarding the event, such as day, time and place, have not yet been announced. However, NBC News reported this week, citing two anonymous campaign officials, that Trump had agreed to requests from the Secret Service to cease holding outdoor rallies.
The events have taken on something of a cultural significance for the three-time presidential candidate, who now has regular groupies following him to every stop.
Meanwhile, investigations into the security failure at the Butler rally continued into their third week, with FBI Director Christopher Wray questioning whether Trump had actually been shot but later backpedaling after the statement received considerable backlash.
Wray’s testimony came as the House voted to form its own investigative committee and the FBI said it was seeking to interview Trump regarding the event.
Additionally, a video newly released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed other individuals had been detained by federal agents on suspicion of possible involvement in the shooting.
Without discussing border policies in his 10-minute address, he touted his efforts in two sentences, saying, “We are also securing our border. Border crossings are lower today than when the previous administration left office.”
Several news outlets made similar claims.
“July is on track to see the fifth consecutive monthly drop in migrant apprehensions along the U.S.-Mexico border and the lowest level in illegal immigration there since the fall of 2020,” CBS News reported. “Migrant crossings plunge 55%” Newsweek reported; they dropped “over 40% since Biden announced asylum restrictions,” CNN reported.
“Biden finally got border numbers down,” The New York Times reported. PolitiFact labeled Biden’s claim that “migrants coming to our … border unlawfully … dropped dramatically,” as “mostly true” in its so-called “Truth-O-Meter.”
Accounting for all the data, including new ways the Biden administration is allowing foreign nationals to enter the country, the claims are verifiably false.
As The Center Square has reported every month since early 2021, after Biden took office, the number of illegal border crossers has increased, not gone down.
Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and several corporate media outlets cite incomplete apprehension data, excluding at least 2 million gotaways, those who evaded capture and are in the country illegally. It is unknown how many gotaways are violent criminals or potential terrorists.
The data they cite also excludes millions of foreign nationals who were unlawfully released into the country instead of detaining and removing them, former border officials have explained, including through parole programs that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas created, which Republicans attorneys general and other elected officials maintain are illegal.
“Biden and Harris cannot hide the truth about our open border. To this day, they are still encountering on a daily basis, almost four times what the Trump administration did after Trump implemented his policies,” former director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan, who served under six presidents, told The Center Square.
Harris, who Biden tapped as his “border czar” in 2021, and the president “are simply playing a shell game by bringing thousands of illegal aliens into the country through the CBP One program and the CHNV program,” Homan said. “They claim they are ‘lawful pathways’ so they don’t have to count them as illegal between the ports of entry,” which are referred to as apprehensions.
Those entering through the parole programs, at the ports of entry and between ports of entry “are the same exact population,” Homan said, regardless if the administration labels them otherwise. The processes Harris and Mayorkas created are “an illegal abuse of the federal parole statute and they know it,” Homan said.
Homan also repeated a previous warning, saying, “The most important data point is this: how many illegal aliens has this administration released into the U.S. despite the legal requirement to detain them? At least 8 million.
“That is a horrendous data point that is far beyond many administrations combined. Historic.”
By apprehension data alone, Biden’s claims are verifiably false.
In June, for example, apprehensions totaled nearly 206,000, compared to nearly 212,000 in June 2023, nearly 248,000 in June 2022 and nearly 209,000 in June 2021, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protectiondata.
Monthly encounters at ports of entry of foreign nationals with no lawful basis to enter increased from nearly 20,000 in January 2021 to more than 117,000 in June 2024.
Last month, the greatest number of illegal foreign nationals were apprehended at the northern border for the month of June in U.S. history, more than 17,700.
Under Trump, there were nearly 527,000 apprehensions in fiscal 2017, 683,000 in fiscal 2018 and over 1.1 million in fiscal 2019, according to CBP data. Under Biden, there were over 1.95 million in fiscal 2021, over 2.7 million in fiscal 2022 and over 3.2 million in fiscal 2023, according to the data.
This fiscal year’s numbers so far total more than 2.5 million apprehensions, dwarfing any year under Trump.
The apprehension totals also exclude 680,500 foreign nationals brought into the U.S. using a CBP app, which Homan and attorneys general who sued to block the app’s use say is illegal.
The totals also exclude 104,130 Cubans, 194,027 Haitians, 86,101 Nicaraguans, and 110,541 Venezuelans released into the U.S. through (CHNV) parole programs contrary to federal law prohibiting their entry. The CHNV process is directly linked to violent crimes committed against Americans by the parolees, The Center Square reported.
The process—called “smurfing”—in which individuals make large contributions in small amounts to prevent being flagged by federal authorities, allows donors to circumvent individual contribution limits and evade detection from watchdog groups who might seek to publicize their political involvement.
O’Keefe inspired an army of journalists to investigate the potential donation laundering.
Many of the unwitting victims in this alleged identity-theft scam were senior citizens with no recollection of making the contributions.
Journalist Esala Wueschner reported on an elderly resident in New Orleans, who, according to records from the Federal Election Commission, contributed a total of $29,107.34 from the years 2016 to 2022.
However, when questioned about the donations, she denied that she had contributed that amount to ActBlue.
“I don’t have that kind of money, sir. I’m on Social Security. I don’t have that kind of money to donate,” the woman told Wueschner.
Journalist Esala “This New Orleans, LA resident told me that she lives on Social Security and DID NOT contribute to ActBlue. in the amount of $29,107.34 between the years 2016-2022.
Unfortunately, campaign-finance laws make it difficult to detect and even more difficult to prosecute such offenses due to the network of intermediaries that donors use to separate themselves from the cashflow.
“Whoever is choreographing this volume is doing it in such small donations because they thought those wouldn’t get flagged by watchdogs and FC officials,” said Newsmax host Carl Higbie.
“The way this is brought to our attention was not by the dollar amount, but rather by the number of donations per person,” he added. “That’s where they messed up. But my question is if these people whose names are on the FEC report are not making these donations, who is? Where’s the money coming from?”
“This is verifiable data. Whoever is choreographing this volume is doing it in such small donations because they thought those wouldn't get flagged by watchdogs and FC officials. The way this is brought to our attention… pic.twitter.com/ymLz5jE975
The donor surge occurred after Democratic Party elites performed a successful coup d’état of President Joe Biden, forcing the primary winner to withdraw from the race and making Harris the “presumptive nominee” without having earned a single vote.
“In one moment, the choices of nearly 15 million Biden primary voters were vitiated,” wrote conservative scholar Victor Davis Hanson in a recent column for American Greatness.
“No delegates were consulted. No other alternative Democrat candidates were even considered,” he added. “Biden was dethroned; Harris was coronated—without much public input or even knowledge of how or why.”
While many on the Left have now lined up in lockstep behind their anointed new leader, some, such as Black Lives Matter, have criticized the move as “undemocratic.”
Kamala was selected, not elected.
But the solution is simple.
Join us in calling on @TheDemocrats to let the American people vote in an informal, virtual primary (an online vote) ASAP so our communities can weigh in on this unprecedented moment. Democracy demands no less.… https://t.co/tFwvoBDiZa

Ironically, BLM proved to be a significant source of Democrat donation-laundering during the 2020 election cycle.
Following the death of George Floyd while in police custody, many well-intentioned donors sought to aid the group’s mission, ostensibly advancing social-justice causes like the struggle against police brutality and various forms of racial inequality.
Instead, a large swath of the donations went directly to the Democratic Party, while others went to fund a Malibu mansion and luxury perks for the upper levels of the organization.
When pressed on the misrepresentation, cofounder Patrisse Cullors dismissed it as “white guilt money,” suggesting that donors were simply seeking absolution for their privilege and never expected the funds to be used in service of any specific cause.
Ok y’all…
You’re about to see one of the Democrat’s biggest cheating mechanisms BLOW UP in their faces!!
This EXPOSES the irregular “grass roots” FEC donations👇🏻
(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In the immediate aftermath of the July 13 assassination attempt against presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, someone who attended that rally told NBC News that there was a shooter on the nearby water tower.
“What I’ve heard coming out is they feel there were two shooters, one on both sides. They got the one on the tower, but the one on the right side they never got,” said an attendee.
Since then, speculation has continued about a possible second shooter who shot at Trump. However, top government officials are putting forth the narrative that only one shooter, Thomas Crooks, fired eight shots before a Secret Service counter sniper killed Crooks with a single shot of his own—calling into question earlier reports that local counter snipers also fired, as well as a report about Crooks’s corpse having three gunshot wounds.
Regardless of how many shooters there were or how many shots were fired, questions about the water tower remain. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, added to those questions Thursday, when he released body camera footage of law enforcement officers discussing the water tower.
At one point in the body cam footage, a law enforcement official can be heard requesting “access to a drone to clear the water tower.”
Perhaps even more intriguingly, Headline USA heard an officer saying that someone “said they saw something on top of the water tower before this all started.”
NEW: Recently released body cam footage reveals that someone "said they saw something on top of the water tower before this all started." pic.twitter.com/HaZ75RBGiD
It’s not clear whether Grassley’s staff have picked on the statement heard by this publication. In a press release, the senator only flagged law enforcement discussing “the need to use a drone to inspect and secure the water tower on site.”
In a Wednesday leader to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Grassley asked about the water tower.
“Was the water tower cleared in advance of the rally? If not, why not? Did the water tower have any role in the events at the Trump rally? Please describe,” he asked.
It’s not clear whether Mayorkas has provided an answer. Other lawmakers have accused him of stonewalling Congress.
Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle did tell Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Co., on Monday that her agency didn’t have any agents on the tower.
Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., a former Navy SEAL sniper, also said there weren’t any counter snipers on the water tower when he grilled Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris about the matter at a Tuesday hearing.
“I was a Sniper in the Seal Teams, Colonel, and this is just obvious…”
“Are you surprised that a lot of Americans think there might be more to this story?” pic.twitter.com/q1aCOjI2JL
“Do you know how far water tower was from the roof where the shooter took his shots?” Crane asked, to which Paris responded: “No.”
“160 yards,” Crane said, answering his own question. The congressman then asked Paris why no counter snipers were on the tallest structure in the area. Paris said he didn’t know.
“Are you aware many Americans believe this wasn’t a lone shooter, but a coordinated assassination attempt?” Crane continued.
“As soon as I got out of the SUV and I saw that water tower, I said, ‘That’s exactly where I’d want to be.’ So obvious,” Crane added, referencing his trip to the crime scene.
The conversation covered a range of topics, including the opening of a new depository, the concept of gold loans, the current state of the retail precious metals market, and the ongoing efforts to promote sound money policies.
Who is Stefan Gleason?
Stefan Gleason is the founder, President, and CEO of Money Metals Exchange, a national precious metals investment company and news service established in 2010 to provide a more transparent and fair way for investors to buy and sell precious metals. Under his leadership, the company has grown to serve over 500,000 customers, becoming a prominent player in the industry.
Stefan Gleason
Gleason is a seasoned business leader, investor, and political strategist. He has a degree in Political Science from the University of Florida. His media presence is extensive, having appeared on various U.S. television networks such as CNN, Fox News, Fox Business, and CNBC, and his writings have been published in numerous national and local media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Detroit News, Washington Times, and National Review.
A strong advocate for sound money policies, Gleason played a pivotal role in launching the Sound Money Defense League, an organization dedicated to promoting the use of gold and silver as legal tender and eliminating taxes on these metals. His political and legislative efforts often focus on promoting financial privacy and freedom, addressing issues related to monetary policy, and developing investment strategies within the precious metals sector.
Under Gleason’s guidance, Money Metals Exchange has not only excelled in providing customer-focused services like seamless buying and storage options and innovative offerings such as gold loans, but it has also made significant educational contributions. The company is committed to educating investors about precious metals and advocating for sound money policies, aligning with Gleason’s dedication to individual liberty, limited government, and economic freedom.
Prior to founding Money Metals Exchange, Gleason spent 15 years at the National Right to Work Committee, a conservative free market group, where he honed his skills in public policy and grassroots organizing. His extensive experience and dedication to sound monetary practices have positioned him as a leading figure in the precious metals investment community.
New Depository Facility
Gleason announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art depository in Idaho, the largest precious metals depository west of New York. The facility, boasting 8,500 square feet of class three vault space, offers top-notch security and technology for storing precious metals. Gleason emphasized that this new facility is a response to the increasing demand for secure storage of precious metals. The depository allows customers to buy, store, and even sell back their metals seamlessly, enhancing convenience and security for investors.
Advantages of Third-Party Storage
Addressing concerns about third-party storage, Gleason acknowledged that many investors prefer to keep their precious metals in personal possession. However, he highlighted situations where third-party storage could be advantageous, such as for IRA accounts, large quantities of metals, or convenience in liquidation. He reassured customers of the rigorous security measures and annual audits that ensure the safety and integrity of stored metals.
Gold Loans
Gleason explained the concept of gold loans, which allow investors to borrow against their gold holdings without selling them, thus avoiding capital gains taxes. Money Metals Exchange offers loans at competitive rates, typically prime plus 2.5%, and provides a revolving line of credit. This service is particularly beneficial for real estate investors and small business owners needing liquidity while maintaining their gold holdings.
Current Retail Market Trends
The discussion shifted to the retail market for precious metals. Gleason noted a recent cooling off in retail demand in the US and Europe, despite high gold prices driven by central bank purchases and strong demand in Asia. He observed that the lower premiums currently present a cost-efficient opportunity for investors to acquire gold and silver. Gleason predicted a resurgence in retail demand as economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions continue to drive interest in precious metals as safe-haven assets.
Sound Money Advocacy
Gleason also touched on Money Metals Exchange’s commitment to sound money policies with the Sound Money Defense League. The company actively supports initiatives to remove sales taxes on precious metals, eliminate income tax on gains from gold and silver, and encourage states to hold gold in reserve. Gleason emphasized that these efforts align with his background in public policy and the company’s mission to advocate for individual liberty and limited government.
Key Questions and Answers:
Is the new depository open yet or on the verge of opening?
Yes, the new Money Metals Depository in Idaho is fully operational. It is the largest precious metals depository west of New York, with state-of-the-art security and technology. The facility is twice the size of Fort Knox, with 8,500 square feet of class 3 vault space, offering top-notch security and storage for precious metals.
Can customers buy and store their metals at the depository without taking possession?
Yes, customers can buy and store their metals seamlessly at the depository. The integration with the dealer makes it easy for customers to buy, store, and even sell back their metals directly through the website, providing a seamless experience.
How would you address concerns from investors who prefer to have their gold in their possession?
We encourage customers to take possession of some of their precious metals. However, for larger amounts or specific situations like IRA accounts, having metals stored in a secure facility can be advantageous. The depository offers top-notch security, annual audits, and insurance, making it a reliable option for storing precious metals.
Can you explain the concept of gold loans and how they work?
Gold loans allow investors to borrow against their gold holdings without selling them, avoiding capital gains taxes. Money Metals Exchange offers loans at prime plus 2.5%, with a revolving line of credit. This service is ideal for real estate investors and small business owners needing liquidity while maintaining their gold holdings.
What are the current trends in the retail precious metals market?
The retail demand in the US and Europe has cooled off recently, despite high gold prices driven by central bank purchases and strong demand in Asia. This has resulted in lower premiums, presenting a cost-efficient opportunity for investors to acquire gold and silver. Gleason anticipates a resurgence in retail demand as economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions continue.
What motivates Money Metals Exchange’s involvement in sound money advocacy?
My background in public policy drives our commitment to sound money advocacy. We support initiatives to remove sales taxes on precious metals, eliminate income tax on gains, and encourage states to hold gold in reserve. These efforts align with our mission to promote individual liberty and limited government and help remove barriers for our customers.
Conclusion
The interview with Stefan Gleason provided a comprehensive overview of Money Metals Exchange’s latest initiatives and insights into the precious metals market. From the state-of-the-art depository to innovative services like gold loans, Gleason highlighted how the company is adapting to meet the evolving needs of investors.
As economic and political landscapes remain uncertain, Money Metals Exchange continues to advocate for sound money policies and provide valuable resources for those looking to safeguard their wealth with precious metals.
(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has released body camera footage he obtained of Beaver County Emergency Services Unit officers responding to the July 13 assassination attempt against presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.
Running about 28 minutes in total, the body cam footage reveals new information to the Trump shooting, including the fact that some rallygoers were apparently detained for questioning by law enforcement.
Indeed, the body cam footage captures the conversation between a Beaver County law enforcement officer and an apparent federal agent. The fed didn’t identify his agency, but said he had to relay information about the incident back to Washington DC.
🚨Recently released body cam footage reveals that law enforcement detained multiple people after the Trump assassination attempt🚨 "Those people detained were filming. Maybe they were involved; maybe they weren’t…" pic.twitter.com/pZudrrv5L7
“We have somebody detained,” the federal agent can be heard saying.
Another local officer—not the one with the body cam footage—also said two other people were detained.
“Our guy told me a guy was detained who’s the owner of the bike, and I said, ‘No, that’s the owner of the bike,’” the federal agent said, pointing to the corpse of the alleged shooter, Thomas Crooks.
The locals said they didn’t know what the fed was talking about, and the fed continued to talk. “Those people detained were filming. Maybe they were involved; maybe they weren’t. The guys that saw them filming were like, ‘Oh they were filming us then, filming the guy on the roof, and then filming us. And when shots started firing, they tried to run away,’” the fed said, recounting a conversation he apparently had with other law enforcement agents.
“But isn’t that what everyone would do who had a phone? I’m not saying they’re not involved, but you know what I mean? I’ve got no problem detaining them, but … Detain them, find out what they know and who they are, whatever. But I’m trying to get clear information to get back to DC. So, we’ve got one shooter—deceased,” he added.
Later, when the federal agent is no longer on the rooftop, the body cam footage also shows investigators counting eight shells—suggesting that Crooks fired at least eight shots. According to most reports, nine shots were fired in total. If Crooks fired eight times and the Secret Service sniper killed him with the ninth shot, that calls into question earlier reports that local counter snipers also fired at Crooks.
Additionally, one officer could be heard saying, “You’ve got a clean round through his neck”—likely a reference to the Secret Service counter sniper’s shot that killed Crooks. That information calls into question a report from Blaze Media that Crooks’s body had at least three gunshot wounds.
