‘How About Day 1?’: Trump Takes Hard Stance on ‘Transgender Lunacy’

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) President-elect Donald Trump took a hard stance against the “transgender lunacy” embraced by the Biden administration Sunday during his speech at the America Fest Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

In his rally-style remarks headlining the final day of the annual Turning Point USA event, Trump energized the audience by declaring his intent to crack down on gender ideology as soon as he is inaugurated to his second term.

“With the stroke of my pen on day one, we’re going to stop the transgender lunacy,” the president-elect told a roaring crowd.

Trump reiterated his campaign promises to protect women’s spaces, safeguard parental rights and save confused children from being led astray by the medical system.

He announced his intent to sign executive orders on his first day in office that would make sex-change surgeries on children without parental consent illegal, remove transgender service members from the U.S. military and stop the mandatory indoctrination of kids through LGBT curriculums in all levels of education.

“And I will sign executive orders to end child sexual mutilation, get transgenders out of the military and out of our elementary schools and middle schools and higher schools,” Trump said.

The audience clapped and cheered for several seconds before Trump continued, “And we will keep men out of women’s sports. And that will likewise be done one day one. Should I do day one, day two, or day three? How about day one.”

The president-elect squashed the notion that he would allow the federal government to acknowledge more than two genders, declaring his plan to reenforce the biological fact that humans can only be classified as men or women.

“Under the Trump administration, it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female,” Trump announced, prompting loud celebrations in the crowd.

Yukon Cornelius & His Quest for Silver & Gold Wasn’t What You Think!

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) It’s the Friday before Christmas, and as my gift to you, I’m going to wreck one of your childhood holiday memories.

Yes. I am a grownup. But I still love Christmas specials. Snoopy decorating his doghouse. The Grinch folding up the Christmas tree like an umbrella and stuffing it up the chimney. Frosty the snowman melting in a greenhouse.

What’s not to love?

But my favorite Christmas special is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

It’s been my favorite since I was a little kid.

I think we’ve lost a little bit of the Christmas special magic with DVDs and on-demand streaming. We can watch it whenever we want.

It was different when I was growing up. We actually had to wait for the specials to come on TV.

I remember scouring the TV guide printed in our local newspaper (That’s a blast from the past.) beginning in the first week of December, eagerly waiting to see Rudolph in the lineup.

When the show finally came on,  Mom always made an event out of it. She would make me a special Christmas treat – perhaps hot chocolate with marshmallows or apple cider with a cinnamon stick. Sometimes, she even baked fresh Christmas cookies.

Here’s a little confession: when I was really little, the abominable snow monster horrified me.

In retrospect, I wonder why.

Remember when he tipped over? The bottom of his feet looked just like the bottom of my footie pajamas. You might be thinking, geez, how did he not notice that? How did he not realize that the abominable was a total fake?

Well, give me a break. I was, like, 5 years old.

But other than my irrational fear of the pajama-footed snow monster, I loved the show as a little kid.

And I still do.

As a little boy, I always thought Yukon Cornelius was pretty cool. It was mainly because he got to carry guns.

You might recall Yukon wandered around the great white north in search of silver and gold. But that’s not the whole story. In fact, that’s not what he was doing at all.

A lot of people don’t realize this because the version of Rudolph most of us watched on TV as kids cut an important part out.

You’ll recall that when Yukon meets Rudolph and the elf Hermey, he dramatically introduces himself.

“The name’s Yukon Cornelius, the greatest prospector in the north! And you know, it’s rich with gold! Gold! Gold and silver! Silver and gold! Wahooo!”

He punctuates his greeting by tossing his pickaxe in the air, licking it, and declaring, “Nothin’.”

Yukon repeats this pickaxe toss and lick behavior throughout the show.

On a side note, it’s kind of weird, isn’t it?

And maybe just a little gross.

Or is it just me?

The oddity of this behavior never occurred to me when I was little. Of course, this is the kid who didn’t notice the snow monster was wearing footed pajamas.

And on another side note — how did Yukon’s tongue not freeze to the metal? He was licking it in the frozen Arctic, after all. We all know from Flick’s experience in A Christmas Story that putting your tongue on frozen steel requires a visit from the fire department for tongue removal.

Anyway, given what we’ve seen of Yukon so far, it’s clear he was hoping to discover riches in the form of gold and/or silver, right? That’s certainly the impression we get. And who wouldn’t want to find gold and silver? History is packed full of men and women who risked everything in search of silver and gold.

Here’s the plot twist.

Yukon was not looking for gold or silver!

You were duped into thinking that by common sense and network TV editing.

Those of you who watched a full-length movie on network TV know it was almost always edited to make room for commercials. This was the case with Rudolph. CBS deleted an important scene that explains exactly what Yukon was looking for.

Rick Goldschmidt wrote a book on Rudolph and calls this “the most significant deleted scene.” An article in the Huffington Post explains what happened.

“It comes right after Rudolph guides Santa through the air to the Island of Misfit Toys. Rudolph’s parents, Donner and Mrs. Donner, Rudolph’s girlfriend, Clarice, and Cornelius are featured, while Donner says, ‘That’s my buck!’ finally confirming Rudolph’s dad is no longer ashamed, as Goldschmidt points out. But more illuminating is that the scene finally gives an answer as to why Cornelius kept licking his pickax throughout the special. In this deleted scene, Cornelius throws his ax in the air, lets it strike the ground, and then, after licking it as he has been wont to do, declares, ‘Peppermint! What I’ve been searching for all my life! I’ve struck it rich. I’ve got me a peppermint mine … Wahoooo!’”

You can watch the deleted scene HERE.

If you’re just a bit older than I am, you may actually remember the deleted scene. It last aired on TV in 1964. It’s also on the DVD. So, if you’ve watched the show with your kids, you probably already know this little secret.

Anyway, I get the whole peppermint and Christmas motif – candy canes and all that. But I don’t really like peppermint. I’m partial to chocolate.

And let’s be honest, Yukon was a little misguided. He would have been a lot better off finding silver and gold!

Of course, you don’t have to prospect in the Arctic to get gold and silver. You can get all you need right here at Money Metals Exchange. And you won’t risk freezing your tongue on a pickaxe!

From all of us here at Money Metals, have a wonderful holiday season!

‘Where’s the Money Going?’: Tucker Carlson Takes Aim at ‘Emotionally Out-of-Control’ GOP Rep

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Political commentator Tucker Carlson took aim at the “emotionally out-of-control” Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, in an interview with his former producer and writer released Sunday.

Rekindling his long-time feud with Crenshaw, Carlson ripped the Texas congressman as unfit for office due to his emotional immaturity and establishment views.

“So, Dan Crenshaw, obviously is not emotionally prepared to lead anything. And, you know, he’s out of control. And I think that he’s a really volatile person. I hope he gets help, I mean that,” Carlson told former colleague Eduardo Neret, who has since become the executive producer of Trump intelligence director nominee Tulsi Gabbard’s show on X.

The former Fox News host described Crenshaw as a “sinister” person he said he feels sorry for.

“But, you know, he’s also a pretty sinister person, I would say, whose priorities are not aligned with his party’s voters but also have kind of nothing to do with the United States,” Carlson added.

Carlson acknowledged the arguments he had with Crenshaw in the past, saying that those interactions shaped his perspective that the Texas representative was not suited for his elected position.

He called out Crenshaw for pretending to support Trump’s Make America Great Again agenda while funding foreign wars with American taxpayer dollars.

“So, I feel sorry for him. But I also think it’s not just him. A lot of the leadership of that party just doesn’t put the United States first at all,” Carlson said. “And, you know, they all want to suck up to Trump and ‘America First.’ Really? Where’s the money going? It’s not going here. It’s going to the countries whose lobbies control you.”

Carlson took a swipe at Crenshaw on Thursday at the America Fest Conference in Phoenix, saying he should “shut up” after challenging Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk’s opposition to a 1,547 page federal spending bill.

“Dan Crenshaw cannot be a congressman again. He can’t. It’s just too insulting,” Carlson told the crowd.

Crenshaw lashed out at X influencer Phillip “Catturd” Buchanan on Wednesday night over claims that he was the force behind the 40% pay raises for members of Congress stuffed in the rejected continuing resolution.

In April, Carlson questioned why Crenshaw was not “bagging groceries at Walmart” in an episode of his podcast.

In March, Carlson called out Crenshaw on X for lying to a reporter that U.S. intelligence agencies “don’t meddle in domestic news coverage” after casting his vote in favor of censoring conservative websites.

‘Back to South Africa’: Democrats Call for Biden to Deport Elon Musk

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Democrats on social media called for President Joe Biden to deport Elon Musk one month before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration as the billionaire’s influence over the incoming administration became a point of attack.

Despite Biden’s apparent senility for the past four years, reaffirmed Thursday by a bombshell Wall Street Journal report, leftist pundits have attempted to drive a wedge between Trump and Musk with warnings of usurpation.

CNN’s Scott Jennings slammed panelists Sunday for feigning concern over the “unelected” Musk having Trump’s ear, saying, “Unelected people have been running the government for the last four years.”

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have commented on Musk’s close relationship with Trump. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, told Face the Nation on Sunday that “it feels as if Elon Musk is our prime minister,” while Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., sarcastically slammed the SpaceX owner as “President Musk after he helped tank a 1,547 page federal spending bill.

Trump dropped a constitutional truth bomb on the idea of a “President Musk” during his speech Sunday at Turning Point USA’s America Fest Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

“No, he’s not going to be president, that I can tell you,” Trump told the crowd of the “smart” Department of Government Efficiency head. “And I’m safe, you know why? Because he can’t be—he wasn’t born in this country!”

Leftists on X recently jumped on the fact that Musk was born in South Africa by calling for his deportation—completely ignoring the rampant amount of illegal migrant criminals roaming the U.S.

“He should be deported,” Secular Talk host Kyle Kulinski wrote on the Musk-owned social media site.

While Kulinski faced backlash for his call for Musk’s deportation, similar posts appeared on X since Trump’s historic victory.

“I don’t remember going to the polls and seeing Elon Musk as being a candidate on anything. So why is he meeting with Congress about the government budget? Please deport this oligarchy back to South Africa. Elon Musk thinks he’s the president, because he bought Trump,” X user @OliviaHoney11 raged Thursday.

Another user, @badbadtzlevi143, expressed hate toward legal immigrants like Musk and said, “Let’s DRAIN THE SWAMP and make this non us native GO BACK TO WHERE HE CAME FROM.”

“BIDEN, DEPORT ELON MUSK AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!” X user @leonrealone added Sunday.

Biden Commutes Sentences of All but 3 Death Row Inmates

UPDATE: President Joe Biden announced the communtation of the sentences of 37 death-row inmates, leaving only three notoriously high-profile killers in line for execution. Those three were:

  • Dylann Roof, the Charleston, S.C., mass-shooter who killed members of a black church that had welcomed him at a Bible study in 2015
  • Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving brother who plotted the 2013 Boston marathon bombing that killed three and maimed many others, then killed an MIT security guard, Sean Collier, who was ambushed during an extensibe manhunt
  •  Robert Bowers, who killed 11 people during the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, Pa.

“These are among the worst killers in the world and this abhorrent decision by Joe Biden is a slap in the face to the victims, their families, and their loved ones,” said Trump Communications Director Steven Cheung in a statement.

“President Trump stands for the rule of law, which will return when he is back in the White House after he was elected with a massive mandate from the American people,” Cheung added.

Original story below:

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Outgoing President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to commute the sentences of all federal death row inmates, in what appears to be an attempt to overshadow his controversial pardon of Hunter Biden.

The 40 individuals sentenced to the death penalty were convicted for some of the most heinous crimes in recent history, including child murder, rape, killing of police officers and terrorism.

The commutations, reported by The Wall Street Journal on Friday, come as Biden allegedly faces pressure from religious and civil rights groups opposing the death penalty.

Among the 40 death row inmates are Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber who killed three people and injured 264, and Dylann Roof, who murdered nine Black parishioners in the Emanuel AME Church massacre.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has pleaded with Biden not to commute the death sentences of individuals convicted for the worst offenses, including Tsarnaev, Roof and Robert Bowers, who murdered 11 people in a 2018 attack on the Tree of Life synagogue.

If Biden commutes the death sentences, the individuals benefiting will still spend the rest of their lives in federal prison. A final decision is expected before Christmas.

“A principal question is whether the president should issue a blanket commutation of all the condemned men, or whether death sentences should remain for the most heinous convicts, these people said,” The Journal noted.

Biden may also commute the sentence of a man who killed two young girls and a female naval officer, a doctor who killed a patient to prevent her from speaking to investigators on a Medicare fraud probe and two men involved in a kidnapping-for-ransom plot that left five people dead.

Others include Brandon Council, who killed two bank employees during a robbery; Edward Fields, who fatally shot two campers on federal land; and Chadrick Fulks and Brandon Basham, who kidnapped and killed a woman after escaping from prison.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., rebuked Biden’s potential commutations during a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday.

“It would mean that progressive politics is more important to the president than the lives taken by these murderers,” McConnell said. “It would mean that society’s most forceful condemnation of white supremacy and antisemitism must give way to legal mumbo jumbo.”

The commutation plan comes less than a month after Biden controversially exploited his pardon powers to shield his son, Hunter, from accountability for offenses committed in 11 years. The pardon marked the first time in U.S. history a president has pardoned his own child and was the broadest pardon ever issued.

Critics suggest the pardon was a calculated move by Biden to shield himself from legal accountability ahead of the incoming Trump administration.

Following Hunter’s pardon, Biden granted nearly 1,500 pardons, including for a Chinese national convicted of child pornography and a woman who was accused of killing her two husbands and a former boyfriend. This set a record for the largest pardon issuance in American history.

Biden is also contemplating issuing preemptive pardons for some of President-elect Donald Trump’s fiercest critics for offenses that have yet to be unveiled.

Trump Doubles Down in Trolling World Leaders, Formally Renames ‘Panama Canal’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President-elect Donald Trump fired back at Panama President José Raúl Mulino in their dispute regarding the control of the Panama Canal, which the United States constructed in the early 1900s.

The canal was handed over to Panama by President Jimmy Carter in 1978 after the signing of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties. Panama assumed full control of the canal in 1999.

On Sunday, Trump intensified his threats to take over the canal, sharing a photo on Truth Social of a ship flying the American flag, captioning it, “Welcome to the United States Canal!”

Earlier that day, during a speech at Turning Point’s American Fest, Trump stated that the canal “was given to Panama and to the people of Panama, but it has provisions.”

He emphasized, “You got to treat us fairly and they haven’t treated us fairly. If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to the United States of America in full, quickly and without question.”

In response, Mulino asserted in a Spanish video statement that “every square meter of the Panama Canal and its adjacent zone belongs to Panama, and will continue to do so.” He added, “The sovereignty and independence of our country are not negotiable.”

Mulino insisted that the canal is not controlled “neither by China, nor by the European community, nor by the United States, nor by any other power.” He stated, “As a Panamanian, I strongly reject any manifestation that distorts this reality.”

Gustavo Petro, the Marxist Colombian president, shared his support for Mulino’s claims in a Spanish tweet, claiming to side with Panama until the “last consequences.”

“If the new US government wants to talk business, we will talk business, face to face, and for the benefit of our people, but dignity will never be negotiated,” Petro wrote in Spanish.

Trump noticed Mulino’s dubious claims and shared a screenshot of his quotes, responding, by replying, “We’ll see about that!”

Mulino is the latest world leader to face the wrath of Trump’s America First agenda. Earlier this month, Trump suggested that the U.S. may annex Canada if it fails to pay its fair share of tariffs.

Canadian leaders saw Trump’s humorous comments as a so-called threat to their sovereignty, urging a whole-of-government response.

To further fuel the mocking, Trump shared an AI-generated photo of himself atop a Canadian mountain captioned, “Oh Canada!”

In other comments, Trump poked fun at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, referring to him as “governor.”

“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada,” Trump wrote on Dec. 10 via Truth Social. “I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!”

Illegal Alien Sets Woman on Fire in Shocking NYC Train Attack

WARNING: This article contains disturbing details and videos of an incident in New York City that some readers may find upsetting.

UPDATE: This article has been updated to include new information about the suspect immigration status.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Democratic officials in the state of New York are facing scrutiny after a Guatemalan national was arrested for allegedly setting a woman on fire inside a subway station on Sunday morning.

The suspect, identified as Sebastian Zapeta, reportedly threw a match on a sleeping subway rider around 7:30 a.m. on an F train in Brooklyn, New York. According to the New York Post, Zapeta first entered the U.S. in 2018.

He allegedly had been deported under the Trump administration but made his way back to the U.S. under Biden.

Disturbing video footage of the incident, captured by security cameras and bystanders, shows the woman engulfed in flames. At one point, the suspect calmly sat on a bench, observing the woman burn.

A patrolling officer noticed the fire as the train pulled into the station and asked the suspect to move away, according to the New York Post.

However, the officer did not realize the man would be questioned for the crime, according to New York City Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

The victim died on the scene despite law enforcement extinguishing the fire, Tisch said in a press conference.

“As the train pulled into the station, the suspect calmly walked up to the victim, who was in a seated position at the end of a subway car … and used what we believe to be a lighter to ignite the victim’s clothing, which became fully engulfed in a matter of seconds,” Tisch stated.

“Unbeknownst to the officers who responded, the suspect had stayed on the scene and was seated on a bench on the platform just outside the train car,” the NYPD commissioner added. “The body-worn cameras on the responding officers produced a very clear, detailed look at the killer.”

The suspect fled the scene but was later identified inside another train by high schoolers, who alerted law enforcement.

“I want to thank the young people who called 911 to help,” Tisch remarked. “They saw something, and they said something, and they did something.”

Law enforcement officials do not believe the suspect and the victim knew each other. The woman’s identity remains unknown.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was slammed on social media after she boasted about higher security on subways: “In March, I took action to make our subways safer for the millions of people who take the trains each day.”

In another post, Hochul shared an ad featuring videos of her thanking officers inside train stations. “This holiday season, we’re hard at work for you. More money in your pockets. Safer streets and subways. A stronger New York State,” she wrote.

The Sunday incident occurred less than a month after Marine veteran Daniel Penny, described as a “hero,” was acquitted of charges tied to the death of Jordan Neely, a homeless man who allegedly threatened subway riders.

Penny intervened and put Neely in a chokehold. Neely was later declared dead. A jury ruled that Penny did not commit a criminal offense in restraining the man.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was criticized for bringing charges against Penny instead of prioritizing the prosecution of criminals running rampant in New York City.

Fetterman Lectures Dems, Defends Trump’s Landslide Victory: ‘They Are Not Fascists’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., has come to the defense of Donald Trump and his supporters following the false claims from prominent Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, who have labeled the president-elect as a “fascist.”

In a Sunday interview with ABC News’s This Week with Jonathan Karl, Fetterman stated that he is not “rooting against” Trump and firmly rejected the label of fascism that some on the left attempted to assign to Republicans.

“I never believed that it was about fascism,” Fetterman said of the 2024 election when asked about the reasons behind Harris’s loss.

Karl interjected, noting that Harris used the term as an attack against Trump. In response, Fetterman replied, “Well, that’s her prerogative. But it’s not a word I would use because you put a lot of Democrats, especially in my state, that I know and love, people who are going to vote for Trump, and they are not fascists.”

Fetterman continued, “Fascism—that’s not a word that regular people use. I think people are going to decide who is the candidate that’s going to protect and project my version of the American way of life, and that’s what happened.”

Asked if he believed Trump would be a good president earlier in the interview, Fetterman replied, “I hope so.”

He added: “If you’re rooting against the president, you’re rooting against the nation. I’m never going to want a president to fail. So, country first. I know that’s become a bit of a cliché, but it happens to be the truth.”

These comments come less than a month before Trump is expected to be sworn in as the 47th president, following his electoral landslide victory in the 2024 election.

Trump became the first president since 1892 to serve two non-consecutive terms. His victory came despite two federal criminal prosecutions by President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice, a civil lawsuit against his company, two state criminal cases, billions of dollars in opposition funding, legal challenges to his candidacy, court rulings attempting to disqualify him from the ballot, an FBI raid and two assassination attempts, as well as a tough primary fueled by Democratic funding and the opposition of so-called RINOs.

In his remarks on Sunday, Fetterman acknowledged that Trump’s political influence is indisputable.

“You have a singular political talent—it’s undeniable,” the Democratic senator said of Trump. “He had the energy and almost a sense of fearlessness to just say all those kinds of things. … And after surviving an assassination, you literally were shot in your head, and had the presence of mind to respond—’Fight! Fight! Fight’—I mean, that’s a political talent. It’s undeniable.”

Fauci’s ‘Distinguished’ Professor Title in Doubt After Zero Classes Taught

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former COVID-19 czar Anthony Fauci enjoys the nice-sounding title of “distinguished” professor at Georgetown University, but a new shocking report has unveiled that the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has not taught a single class.

Fauci was awarded this title in June 2023 but has not held any classes or scheduled any, according to bombshell reporting released Friday by The College Fix.

This prestigious title is described by Georgetown as the university’s “highest professional honor that recognizes extraordinary achievement in scholarship, teaching and service.”

Despite the honor, Georgetown has not listed Fauci as a professor in any of the courses available in publicly accessible catalogs.

When asked about his plans at Georgetown in 2023, Fauci provided a vague response: “I ask myself, now, at this stage in my life, what do I have to offer to society? I could do more experiments in the lab and have my lab going, but given what I’ve been through, I think what I have to offer is experience and inspiration to the younger generation of students.”

Fast forward to August 2024, and it has been reported that Fauci has allegedly “given lectures, seminars and fireside chats for undergrads,” according to The Georgetowner.

Some of these students are from the School of Medicine, School of Health, School of Public Policy, Law Center and Walsh School of Foreign Service.

Georgetown did not respond to The College Fix’s inquiries regarding Fauci’s salary and whether he has taught any actual classes.

Fauci’s role at Georgetown followed his retirement from a high-paying position in the federal government, where he served as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022. He was later appointed as President Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor.

During much of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fauci was one of the most vocal advocates for government-ordered lockdowns, vaccine passports and mask mandates. Fauci would go on to acknowledge that some of his measures were not based on concrete and undisputed medical research.

Since then, Fauci has been subject to several congressional investigations and may come under scrutiny from the Department of Justice in the incoming Trump administration.

This has led Biden to consider issuing a preemptive pardon for any potential uncharged offenses.

Critics argue that if Biden pardons Fauci, it could imply that the so-called distinguished professor was indeed implicated in criminal activities.

Sen. Cruz Surprises Trump on Stage as Republicans Unify One Month Before Inauguration

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, snuck up behind President-elect Donald Trump on stage Sunday at the America Fest Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

Trump delivered rally-style remarks on the final day of the annual Turning Point USA event, at one moment shouting out Cruz’s sizable victory securing another six-year term in his Texas Senate seat.

When Trump initially invited Cruz to join him on stage, he could not find the Texan in the crowd.

“We really did well in Texas. And I heard Ted’s speech,” Trump said, referencing how Cruz addressed America Fest less than one hour before his own appearance. “Ted’s going to be going to a big event in a little while. Where’s Ted Cruz? Is he here?”

Perhaps the upcoming “special event” was a celebration of Cruz’s Dec. 22 birthday, which fell on the same day he joined Trump on stage.

The president-elect paused for a moment before looking around and asking, “Is he here some place? Ted? Ted? Oh… oh… oh, he’s in trouble.”

The audience laughed before erupting into applause as Cruz walked on stage from behind Trump. The president-elect spun around, shook the senator’s hand and gave him a hug.

“He’s not in trouble!” Trump said before giving Cruz a playful punch.

Cruz approached the podium and repeated his “Keep Texas Texas” campaign slogan.

“And I’ve gotta say, this election has given President Donald J. Trump a Republican Senate and a Republican House, a clear mandate to deliver on our promises,” he told the enthusiastic crowd.

The senator added that Trump will be inaugurated in one month and expressed his confidence that the president-elect will uphold his promises to secure the border, fix the economy and end foreign wars.

“I’ll tell you, Mr. President. The results of this election. Seven battleground states. You won all seven. The people elected a Republican House and a Republican Senate to have your back, and we are going to deliver results,” Cruz said.

Cruz emphasized GOP gains with Hispanic voters, including in his reelection and Trump’s win.

“We are going to bring our country back, and we will make America great again!” Cruz exclaimed to a roaring crowd.

Trump called Cruz a “great guy” as the senator waved and walked off stage.

“He was really out there working… oh, I’m so glad that he was here,” Trump said with a joking sign of relief, playing off of his initial uncertainty about Cruz’s whereabouts. “He had a great race and did a fantastic job against like, $250 million spent against him. But Texas was very special, and it will remain very special.”
