Navy SEALs Missing After Night Mission in Somalia

(Headline USA) Two U.S. Navy SEALs are missing after conducting a nighttime boarding mission Thursday off the coast of Somalia, according to three U.S. officials.

The SEALs were on an interdiction mission, climbing up a vessel when one got knocked off by high waves. Under their protocol, when one SEAL is overtaken the next jumps in after them.

Both SEALs are still missing. A search and rescue mission is underway and the waters in the Gulf of Aden, where they were operating, are warm, two of the U.S. officials said.

The U.S. Navy has conducted regular interdiction missions, where they have intercepted weapons on ships that were bound for Houthi-controlled Yemen.

The mission was not related to Operation Prosperity Guardian, the ongoing U.S. and international mission to provide protection to commercial vessels in the Red Sea, or the retaliatory strikes that the United States and the United Kingdom have conducted in Yemen over the past two days, the official said Saturday. It was also not related to the seizure of the oil tanker St. Nikolas by Iran, a third U.S. official said.

The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss details that have not yet been made public.

Besides the defense of ships from launched drones and missiles shot from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, the U.S. military has also come to the aid of commercial ships that have been the targets of piracy.

In a statement Saturday, U.S. Central Command said that search and rescue operations are currently ongoing to locate the two sailors. The command said it would not release additional information on the Thursday night incident until the personnel recovery mission is complete.

The sailors were forward-deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting a wide variety of missions.

Adams Weighs Curfews for Migrant Shelters

(Christian Wade, The Center Square) New York City Mayor Eric Adams is considering a curfew at the city’s homeless shelters amid complaints about migrants shoplifting and wandering neighborhoods begging for money.

The Adams administration is considering the plan as the ‘sanctuary’ city continues to wrestle with the influx of tens of thousands of asylum seekers arriving amid a historic surge along the U.S.-Mexico border, the New York Post reported.

The issue came up during a closed-door briefing with local elected officials when Adams administration officials were asked about whether they are considering a curfew at the city’s migrant shelter facilities.

Queens Councilwoman Joann Ariola noted that New York City’s migrant shelters, which are currently housing nearly 70,000 asylum seekers, aren’t subject to the curfews that traditional NYC Department of Homeless Services shelters require.

“I think a curfew should be set because homeless people [staying in NYC shelters] have curfews,” Ariola, a Republican, told the Post. “If it’s good enough for homeless New Yorkers it’s good enough for migrants.”

Neighbors who live near the tent shelters built by the city in Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn have complained about migrants panhandling and going door-to-door begging for food and clothes.

Reports of crimes around the shelters, including a fatal stabbing at a tent city on Randall’s Island over the weekend, have raised public safety concerns, the newspaper reported.

The Post quoted Brooklyn resident David Fitzgerald, who described the situation in his Marine Park neighborhood as an “invasion.”

“I see them sitting outside stores … outside the mall and going around to all the houses in the neighborhood, knocking on the door looking for money,” he told the newspaper.

During Thursday’s City Council meeting, Adams administration officials said they are considering installing metal detectors at migrant shelters but didn’t elaborate further.

In August, a group of Staten Island officials called on the Adams administration to set a curfew at a migrant shelter, but the site was eventually shut down.

New York City has seen an influx of more than 130,000 migrants over the past year and has spent more than $1 billion on housing and other needs for migrants. Adams has proposed deep budget cuts to cover those costs, estimating that the city will spend upwards of $10 billion over the next couple of years.

This week, the Adams administration began issuing eviction notices to more than 2,000 migrants who overstayed the city’s 60-day limit on emergency shelter.

Again? Biden Creeps on Frightened Young Girl Despite 2019 Pledge

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden faced social media scrutiny after an incident where he appeared to approach a visibly frightened young girl during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania. 

Footage of the interaction, which took place at Nowhere Coffee Co. in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, showed the president leaning over to observe a bookshelf behind a young girl seated at a table

“I’m sorry,” whispered Biden to the uncomfortable young girl. Another patron seemed to intervene, grabbing the girl’s hand to make her turn towards Biden. The girl then awkwardly smiled at Biden while maintaining her distance.

The exchange unfolded as reporters pressed Biden about the scandal involving Secretary of Defense Austin Lloyd, who failed to promptly inform the White House about a case of prostate cancer. 

A reporter asked Biden, “Do you have confidence in Secretary Austin?” as he interacted with the young girl. Biden replied affirmatively, but when questioned about the lapse in judgment, he admitted, “Yes.”

The interaction drew criticism from political commentators and Twitter observers, many of whom highlighted Biden’s history of awkward interactions with young individuals.

The Blaze posted, “This young girl looks pretty creeped out by Biden…,” while New York Post columnist Miranda Devine questioned, “[W]hat on earth is he whispering?” 

Daily Wire Investigator Editor Brent Scher commented, “This poor girl.” Echoing Scher’s sentiments, podcast host Benny Johnson remarked, “Joe Biden makes teenage girl visibly uncomfortable as she squirms away from him when he starts creepily whispering in her ear.”

Anti-Transgenderism personality Oli London added, “Young teenage girl looks uncomfortable and nervous as 81 year old Biden creepily leans over her and whispers to her.” 

This incident is not the first time Biden has faced criticism for awkwardly approaching young girls. In November 2023, he came under fire after telling a 6-year-old girl, “I love your ears” at a Thanksgiving event. On July 14, 2023, he was seen nibbling at the shoulder of a girl in Finland.

Notably, in 2019, Biden issued an apology video addressing his reputation for being overly affectionate. “I want to talk about gestures of support that I’ve made to women and some men that have made them uncomfortable,” he acknowledged.  

He added, “The boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset. I get it. I get it. I hear what they’re saying and I understand it. I’ll be much more mindful. That’s my responsibility and I’ll meet it.”

Texas Transports over 100,000 Illegals to ‘Sanctuary Cities’

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) Since April 2022, more than 100,000 illegals have been bused or flown from Texas to six sanctuary cities. This equates to roughly 5% of those who illegally entered Texas in fiscal 2023 alone, the highest number on record, The Center Square reported.

Gov. Greg Abbott began busing foreign nationals who illegally entered the U.S. and were unlawfully released by the Biden administration into Texas, he argues, to provide relief to border communities, including 58 that declared disasters citing the border crisis.

The first self-described sanctuary city to receive foreign nationals from Texas was Washington, D.C. Not soon after, its mayor declared a state of emergency and asked the federal government to deploy the National Guard for help, which it denied. Texas has sent more than 12,500 people to the nation’s capital since April 2022.

Abbott then expanded the operation to New York City in August 2022. Since then, Texas has bused more than 37,100 people there, with thousands more transported by the Democratic city of El Paso. El Paso officials say New York City and Chicago are the destinations of choice of illegal border crossers arriving there.

In response, New York City Mayor Eric Adams declared a state of emergency, blamed Abbott for the border crisis and said the city didn’t have the funds to deal with the influx of people. The city most recently sued 19 private busing companies contracted by Texas, a lawsuit the governor says is baseless. Instead, Adams should sue President Joe Biden, Abbott argues.

In August 2022, Texas began busing foreign nationals to Chicago. Not soon after, the mayor also declared a state of emergency and attempted to stop the buses from dropping off foreign nationals in the city. Texas then began flying foreign nationals to northern Illinois in response.

Democratic leaders in Illinois blamed Abbott for the crisis and asked the federal government for funds to deal with the influx of people. More than 30,800 people have been bused to Chicago by Texas, thousands more have been bused by Democratic officials from El Paso. The numbers arriving in Chicago represent a fraction of the nearly 500,000 who illegally entered Texas in fiscal 2023 and evaded capture by law enforcement, known as gotaways.

By November 2022, Texas added Philadelphia as a destination city. Since then, more than 3,400 people chose to be bused there. In response, the city began encouraging Philadelphians to donate to its “Philadelphia Welcoming Fund” to support “local efforts to welcome immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.” People arriving were from Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Ecuador, El Salvador, Georgia, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Syria, and Uzbekistan, and Venezuela, officials said.

Texas taxpayers have funded the transportation of foreign nationals to these sanctuary cities.

In 2023, Abbott expanded his busing strategy to two more sanctuary cities. More than 15,700 have been bused to Denver since May 18; more than 1,500 to Los Angeles since June 14.

The cities’ Democratic mayors lashed out at Abbott, also blaming him for the border crisis. The number of people being transported by Texas to California equates to less than 1% of those who illegally entered California in fiscal 2023 – more than 500,000, The Center Square exclusively reported.

The buses and flights from Texas are voluntary, Abbott notes. Adults sign consent waivers for themselves and the minors under their care, which are available in multiple languages, prior to boarding. The waivers state they agreed on the destination, Abbott’s press secretary, Andrew Mahaleris, has explained to The Center Square. They are also provided with food, water and medical care.

While Democratic mayors and governors have blasted Abbott for the scheme, more than 10 million foreign nationals were reported to have illegally entered the U.S. between Jan. 1, 2021. and Sept. 30, 2023, including 1.7 million who evaded capture, The Center Square exclusively reported. This is greater than the individual populations of 41 states.

Texas has borne the brunt of illegal entry and the crime that comes with it because it shares the longest border with Mexico of any other state. To mitigate the impact, the Texas Legislature allocated more than $11.5 billion to fund Abbott’s border security mission, Operation Lone Star. Since it launched, OLS officials have arrested more than 495,400 foreign nationals and made more than 38,300 criminal arrests, with more than 34,700 felony charges reported.

While no other states have a comparable budget or size of the OLS force, law enforcement officials nationwide have issued warnings about increased break-ins and violent crimes being committed by foreign nationals, citing the border crisis. Public health officials in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City, and others, also issued warnings about an alarming increase in the spread of communicable diseases, citing the border crisis.

Of those who left, 36,950 Pennsylvania residents switched to the Republican party, according to the Epoch Times. The news source also reported that 21,644 Pennsylvanians switched their party affiliation to “other,” the category the Pennsylvania Department of State uses in its data to cover parties such as Green and Libertarian.

“As the Democrat Party tilts further to the progressive left, more historically traditional, working-class families are moving to the Republican Party, both in terms of how they vote and how they’re registered,” conservative political strategist Charlie Gerow said.

He also added that there is a significant shift going on in the base of the party.

“The stuff we were taught in civics class simply is no longer the case — where the Republicans are the party of the country club set and the brie and Chablis crowd — now to a greater extent, the Republicans are the party of working men and women and the Democrats are the party of the privileged elite,” Gerow said.

Lawrence Tabas, chairman of the Pennsylvania GOP, said that the reason why Democrats, in general, and Pennsylvanians, in particular, are leaving their party is for various reasons, such as the horrible economy, the illegal immigration and fentanyl that enters the country through the wide-open southern border.

As of Jan. 2, 2024, of the 8.6 million registered Pennsylvania voters, there are 3,895,562 Democrats and 3,460,478 Republicans, a difference of 435,085 more Democrats than Republicans.

Gerow said that Pennsylvania could be considered the most purple state in the entire country, adding that in recent years, the state has had a Republican governor, a Democrat governor, a Republican-led legislature, one Democratic U.S. senator, one Republican U.S. senator, a Congressional delegation that was equally divided, a state House that is split 102-101 and a Senate that teeters on the edge in terms of majority.

“It’s a state that Donald Trump won eight years ago and lost four years ago. It’s very, very divided. It is a state that can be won by either side, and I think 2024 is going to be very closely contested in Pennsylvania. Whoever wins Pennsylvania wins the whole enchilada,” he said.

Calif. Funds Org. that Gives Jobs Only to Women, ‘Gender Expansive Youth’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently revealed that an agency of the California state government granted nearly $200,000 to an organization that constantly discriminates against men and straight people by hosting internships exclusively for women and “gender expansive” youth, which is a violation of anti-discrimination laws.

Syryn Records is a project of Girls Rock SB, a non-profit organization that’s received over $183,000 in grants from the California Arts Council, which is a state agency.

It was also revealed in a social media graphic from Syryn Records that the organization specified that, to qualify for a position at the company, a person “must self-identify as a girl, BIPOC, or gender expansive.”

An application for the internship program also said that applicants “must self-identify as female or gender-expansive,” before adding that “BIPOC humans are strongly encouraged to apply.”

“We’ve made it our mission to bring girls’, women’s and non-binary and gender-expansive youth’s creative dreams to life through inclusivity and diversity,” the record label said in a description of the company.

It also appears that Syryn Records has the same selection criteria for paid staff members.

“We need not 1, not 2, but 5 FEMALE AND GENDER-EXPANSIVE STAFF to help us run our next 15-week SYRYN RECORDS cohort. In case you haven’t heard, women and gender-expansive people are grossly underrepresented in the music industry,” the organization said.

One of the most recent grants to Girls Rock SB, which designated $38,000 to the organization for “creative youth development,” also acknowledged the anti-male and anti-straight politics of the organization that focuses on “gender-expansive youth.”

“The mission of Girls Rock SB (GRSB) is to empower girls, women, and gender-expansive youth through music education, the creative arts, community, and positive mentorship,” the project description said.

The leftist then continued exposing their perverted and hateful ideology.

“Our programs work to change the status quo of artistic spaces—especially the music industry, which lacks representation from female and gender-expansive voices, specifically from marginalized communities like women of color and LGBTQ+ people. Since launching in 2012, GRSB has provided immersive arts programs to more than 11,000 female-identifying and non-binary youth, approximately roughly ages 5–23, with a focus on marginalized and historically under-resourced communities,” the description said.

New Yorkers Demand Answers Over School Replacing Israel w/ Palestine on Map

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The New York City politicians, educators and parents fumed on Jan. 11, 2024, over a Brooklyn elementary school’s classroom map that removed Israel from the map and labeled the region “Palestine.”

After photos revealed the controversial “Arab World” map on a classroom wall at PS 261 in Boerum Hill as part of an “Arab Culture Arts” program that was funded by Qatar Foundation International (QFI), the elected officials started demanding answers, according to the New York Post.

“I am deeply concerned about this issue and we are working to determine why this map is on display, if the map was approved by the [Department of Education], and whether the exclusion of Israel is a part of the class’s curriculum,” Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., whose district includes the school, said.

Unlike other people in his party, the Democratic congressman continued by acknowledging the anti-Jewish and anti-Israel attitudes in the United States that skyrocketed after Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

“With the shocking rise in anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment in the city and around the country, it is imperative that our public schools accurately and fully teach our students about the history and origins of the state of Israel,” he said.

Councilwoman Inna Vernikov, R-N.Y., who represents heavily Jewish southern Brooklyn, also criticized the map and demanded that indoctrinators in schools must “tell kids the truth.”

“They’re not supposed to be inserting politics into the school system. Tell kids the truth. There’s a State of Israel on the map,” she said.

Parents who were picking up their kids from school also weren’t happy about the map.

“You’re in the public school system and my opinion is they should represent everyone,” one Jewish mom, who did not wish to be named, said.

However, some leftist parents applauded the educators for displaying the map, with one mother saying that the school has a large Arabic population. She then defended the map by saying that it was “referring to Arabic-speaking countries.”

Tova Plaut, a city public school instructional coordinator for early childhood education strongly disagreed with this perspective, saying that the map is a perfect example of “Jewish erasure.”

“It was a perfect example of Jewish erasure in New York City public schools. There is a country there called Israel,” she said.

CCP Member Is Largest Foreign Owner of American Land

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Chinese-language news reports that were reviewed by the Daily Caller indicated that the second-largest foreign landowner in the U.S. is a Chinese billionaire who is also a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

According to Land Report, Chen Tianqiao, the founder, chairman and CEO of global investment firm Shanda Group, owns approximately 200,000 acres of land in the state of Oregon.

The Caller also revealed that, in addition to that, Chen also has extensive ties to the Chinese government, ranging from CCP membership to executive roles in CCP-affiliated organizations.

Land Report wrote that Chen acquired 198,000 acres in Oregon back in 2015. After purchasing the territory for $85 million, he became the 82nd-largest property owner in the U.S. and the second-largest foreign U.S. land owner. The first-largest foreign U.S. land owner is not even a person but a Canadian family that owns over 1 million acres in the state of Maine.

Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, R–Ore., responded to the news by saying that she was “deeply concerned that individuals tied to the Chinese Communist Party are buying up timberland, which is one of our most precious and finite resources.”

“Foreign ownership of United States lands is a serious problem that has rightfully sparked unease among farmers, ranchers and foresters across the country,” Chavez-DeRemer informed the Caller.

In addition to owning land in Oregon, Chen also owns several urban properties in the U.S., among which are the Vanderbilt Mansion in Manhattan, the Seeley Mudd Estate near Los Angeles and a 150,000 square-foot research facility at the California Institute of Technology that is called the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience — each worth tens of millions of dollars.

“One of the Chinese Communist Party’s goals is to undermine and weaken America. This includes instances where our greatest adversary continues to buy land — whether it’s farmland or near our installations,” Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said.

VA Never Disclosed Safety Signal for Pfizer Vaccine After Finding It

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) An email from May 13, 2021, that was obtained by the Epoch Times revealed that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs detected a signal for myocarditis and pericarditis for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Myocarditis is heart inflammation and pericarditis is inflammation of tissue around the heart.

Fran Cunningham, a VA official, wrote in the email that data from the VA Center For Medication Safety showed “a signal for myocarditis/pericarditis… with Pfizer vaccine following the 1st dose.”

In the email, Cunningham was corresponding with Dr. Tom Shimabukuro and Dr. Lauri Markowitz, two top vaccine safety employees with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Neither the VA nor the CDC shared the discovery of the signal with the public.

Inquiries that were sent to Shimabukuro and Markowitz were also funneled to a CDC spokesperson, who said that the VA later conveniently determined the signal “was not a true signal.”

In a June 2021 private meeting that included some of the CDC officials, VA officials said that no signal had been found in a surveillance system. Neither audio nor transcript of the meeting has been made public.

“This is yet another agency that warned the CDC regarding the myocarditis signal and affirmed that it was a ’real’ signal using epidemiologic data. The CDC and VA had a strong responsibility to let the public know about the signal but chose to bury it in order to avoid causing ‘vaccine hesitancy’ by showing the actual risks of the COVID-19 vaccine,” Brian Hooker, chief scientific officer of the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense, said.

Throughout the COVID-19 hysteria, the CDC has been aggressively promoting the jab that was supposed to protect a person from the virus.

It was also discovered that the VA was the first federal agency in the country that forced its workers to inject themselves with the COVID-19 vaccine and even kept its tyrannical vaccine mandate in place after many other agencies rescinded theirs.

GOP Border Negotiator Under Fire as Bill Leaks: Amnesty and Work Visas

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., one of the Senate negotiators on a border and immigration bill, faced scorching scrutiny following the release a purported summary of the potential bipartisan Senate deal. 

First reported on the Friday edition of Fox News’ Ingraham Angle, the Immigration Accountability Project’s summary claimed that the deal would increase green cards by 50,000 per year and issue work permits to some illegal aliens. The deal would also provide taxpayer-funded attorneys to certain mentally incompetent aliens, along with the daily release of 5,000 illegal aliens.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., promptly rejected the early draft of such a deal on Saturday. He declared on Twitter, “Absolutely not” while also sharing a screenshot of the alleged summary of the bill.

Lankford refuted the allegations in a Twitter post, quoting Charles Haddon Spurgeon: “A lie will go round the world while truth is pulling its boots on.” The senator added, “I encourage people to read the border security bill before they judge the border security bill. I also advise people not to believe everything you read on the internet….”

However, Lankford acknowledged expecting criticism during a Saturday interview with the Wall Street Journal. “I’m going to have a whole group of folks that say, ‘Not enough.’ I’m going to have a whole group of folks saying, ‘That’s crazy, that’s way too much,” he claimed. 

Lankford mentioned being guided by compassion for the illegal aliens already in the U.S. According to the Journal, Lankford recalled a conversation with a pastor who told him that it was the “pastor’s job to love all immigrants equally.” He emphasized, “We have got to be able to do both those things.” 

The Senate deal, negotiated with Sens. Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., and Chris Murphy, D-Conn., is likely to be announced in the upcoming days, but no specific timeline has been established, Lankford told the Journal.

The immigration deal comes on the heels of an unprecedented influx of illegal aliens crossing the southern border. In December 2023, Border Patrol encountered a staggering 302,000 illegal aliens, the highest monthly figure in U.S. history.
