Gold Star Dad Makes Heartfelt Return after SOTU Arrest

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A heartbreaking video showed Gold Star father Steven Nikoui making an emotional return after being released from federal custody for heckling President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday.

The video depicts Nikoui embracing other Gold Star family members who also went to the State of the Union. They reunited at a D.C. restaurant after he was held by the feds for speaking up at Congress just minutes before.

In one notable moment, a tearful Nikoui holds a fellow Gold Star father for several uninterrupted seconds. “We’re so proud of you,” a woman tells Nikoui. Moments later, the parents can be seen jesting about the arrest.

On Thursday, Nikoui garnered national attention for holding Biden accountable for the death of his son, Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui.

The 20-year-old was one of the 13 U.S. servicemen killed by a suicide bomber in Kabul as Biden led the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021.

“Abbey Gate! Abbey Gate!” the passionate father shouted during Biden’s address, referring to the name of one of the gates at Hamid Karzai International Airport, where a terrorist ignited the deadly suicide belt.

Such vocal protest prompted the U.S. Capitol Police to arrest Nikoui when he allegedly refused to cease shouting. The USCP charged him with Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding, a misdemeanor.

Critics on social media scolded the USCP for the arrest. Some Americans expressed solidarity through a GoFundMe fundraiser that has amassed over 5,000 as of Friday evening. The fundraiser is dedicated to a family memorial for Nikoui’s son.

Nikoui’s heartbreaking story extends beyond the effects of Kabul, as his stepson, Dakota Halverson, died by suicide in what the family described as a “ripple effect” of Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

“He was still having a hard time believing he was actually gone,” wrote Shanna Chappell, the mother, on Facebook, referring to Halverson’s struggles with his brother’s death in Kabul.

In a separate post, she revealed that Halverson would sneak into the cemetery and sleep at his brother’s resting place.

Republicans are demanding the charges against Nikoui be dropped.

‘All-Inclusive’ Bookstore Gets Rid of Conservative Books

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) An online bookstore that advertised itself as being pro-free speech removed books from conservative authors after it received backlash from leftist activists.

Television host and activist RuPaul opened the “all-inclusive” online bookstore Allstora with LGBT advocate and author Eric Cervini and drag performer Adam Powell, according to the Daily Wire.

The site advertised that they would carry books from all kinds of authors. Initially, that was true because the store was selling books that ranged from the infamous Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” to the coming-of-age book “Gender Queer” that contained graphic sexual scenes.

“We’re a marketplace for all books and all stories, with a focus on elevating marginalized voices. You may find books you disagree with. Allstora has made the decision to carry all books [and] censorship of any book, perspective or story is incompatible with the survival of democracy,” the store previously stated.

The Mary Sue also reported on the bookstore defending free speech.

“Banning books is never the answer. We cannot fight the ideologies of hate if we lack the ability to study, understand, and react to them. We do that by reading books,” the bookstore wrote on its website before removing the message after the backlash.

As expected, the far-left activists didn’t want the bookstore to sell books by Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Matt Walsh, Riley Gaines and Libs of TikTok founder Chaya Raichik, among others, which resulted in the backlash.

At first, the founders of the website promised to create “a community-led flagging system for titles that are contrary to our core values” and subsequently “[donate] all proceeds from these titles to fight book bans,” but that wasn’t enough for the activists.

The founders eventually relented and removed all free speech messaging from the page after critics have been railing for three days against Allstora for selling “homophobic,” “transphobic,” “anti-woke” and “Nazi” books.

The Daily Wire also reported that many of the books by conservative authors were removed from the page, while some other titles remained available.

Russia, China Plan to Build Nuclear Reactor on Moon

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed that Russia and China want to build a nuclear reactor on the moon to power future settlements.

The construction of the reactor would be part of a mission relying on those technological solutions the two nations intend to master in the latter half of this decade, Yuri Borisov, the CEO of Russia’s equivalent to NASA, Roscosmos, said.

“Today, we are seriously considering a project to deliver to the moon and mount a power reactor there jointly with our Chinese partners somewhere between 2033 and 2035,” he informed the public during a talk at the World Youth Festival in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.

According to Blaze Media, the work on the reactor would be automated on account of radiation.

Borisov also suggested that Russia was working on a “space tugboat,” in addition to a nuclear reactor and an “interplanetary station” on the moon.

“This huge, cyclopean structure that would be able, thanks to a nuclear reactor and high-power turbines… to transport large cargoes from one orbit to another, collect space debris, and engage in many other applications,” he said.

In March 2021, Roscosmos and China National Space Administration signed an agreement to cooperate on the development of an international lunar research station, with China planning to send three missions, Chang’e 6, Chang’e 7 and Chang’e 8 to advance the project, according to Russian state media.

It was also reported that the construction of a nuclear reactor on the moon would be part of a subsequent series of lunar missions.

The initial lunar missions that were scheduled to begin in 2026 and proceed through 2028 would test key technology and set the groundwork for a robotics base where experiments and research could be conducted remotely, the news source added.

Borisov’s remarks were “indicative of warming relations and Chinese willingness to foster a long-term strategic partnership with Russia to posture against and possibly threaten the West,” the ISW, a think tank based in Washington, D.C., stated.

“A strategic space partnership with China suggests that Russia would be unlikely to use this or similar technology against China and that both states would mutually benefit from Russia’s posturing against the West through space and satellite technology,” the think tank added.

If You See These Tattoos, Run: Venezuelan Gang Infiltrates U.S.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Customs and Border Protection has issued an internal bulletin, cautioning agents to remain vigilant for illegal aliens displaying tattoos and other identifiers associated with the violent gang Tren de Aragua.

Among these distinctive tattoos mentioned in the bulletin are images of a railroad train, a gas-mask-covered face with the text “RealG4Life” (meaning Real Gangster for Life) and grenades.

Fox News first reported on the bulletin, which also urges the monitoring of MS-13, a U.S.-based gang with ties to El Salvador.

Immigration authorities continue to grapple with the challenge of managing the influx of illegal aliens, particularly from Venezuela. Tellingly, out of the 335,000 Venezuelans apprehended at the border, only 835 have faced deportation, Fox News reported on Friday.

The internal bulletin’s leak coincides with the implication of the Venezuelan gang in high-profile criminal cases in the U.S., such as the tragic death of Laken Riley, a beloved 22-year-old Georgia nursing student murdered by a Venezuelan illegal alien.

The alleged perpetrator, Jose Antonio Ibarra, is linked to the violent gang through his brother, Diego Ibarra, who prosecutors claim possesses tattoos associated with Tren de Aragua, including a crown with stars.

As reported by Fox News, the federal government has intensified its focus on the violent gang seeking to establish a foothold in the U.S. In the criminal case against Diego Ibarra, prosecutors asserted that the gang has been responsible for widespread crime in Texas, New York, Illinois, Florida and Georgia.

Echoing federal prosecutors, NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell, just a few weeks ago, attributed a range of crimes in New York City to a group of Venezuelan nationals.

“There are some Venezuelan groups of migrants—and I say some, not all—that are affecting crime in our city more so now than when they first got here,” Chell stated during a press conference about a violent 15-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien now facing attempted murder charges.

The man was allegedly caught shoplifting before he fired his gun at a security guard. While the bullet missed the guard, it stroke a Brazilian tourist. The Venezuelan national then fired his gun at NYPD officers who chased him down a train station.

Moreover, a group of illegal aliens linked to the gang brutally assaulted two NYPD officers, who notably attended President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday. These individuals have since been indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. In a video that has gone viral, some of those indicted in the case confronted reporters stationed outside the police precinct.

Ex-Freedom Caucus Star Drops Re-Election Bid, Cites Threats, Defamatory Sex-Scandal Rumors

(Headline USA) Rep. Matt Rosendale, R-Mont., abruptly dropped his reelection bid on Friday—the second time in the past month that the former rising star in conservative politics has entered and then quickly dropped out of a congressional race.

Rosendale cited defamatory rumors about a sex scandal and a death threat against him that prompted the lawmaker to call law enforcement to check on his children as reasons for retiring at the end of his term in January 2025.

“This has taken a serious toll on me and my family,” Rosendale said in a social media post, adding that “the current attacks have made it impossible for me to focus on my work to serve you.”

Rosendale is serving his second term in the House. On Feb. 9 he filed for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democrat Jon Tester—even though Republican leaders had endorsed former Navy SEAL and businessman Tim Sheehy.

Dozens of conservative state lawmakers had encouraged Rosendale to run, and his entry into the Senate race threatened to splinter the party in the leadup to the June 4 primary.

But under pressure from GOP leaders Rosendale dropped out of the Senate race just six days later, citing former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Sheehy and the inability to raise enough money for a Senate campaign. He filed for reelection to his House seat on Feb. 28, he said, “at the urging of many, including several of the current candidates.”

In Washington, Rosendale has been among the House’s most reliable conservatives and a member of the House Freedom Caucus. He banded with seven other members of his party in October to oust Republican Speaker Kevin McCarthy over his failure to stand up to Democratic opposition and overall ineffectiveness in managing the party agenda.

Rosendale also supports Trump, voted against certifying the highly dubious 2020 election, and cosponsored legislation with Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida to defund corrupt special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s alleged storage of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

Montana voters elected Rosendale, a native of Maryland, to the House in 2020 and again two years ago by wide margins. His decision to bow out comes after numerous Republicans jumped into the contest when it was presumed Rosendale wouldn’t seek a third term.

Among them are former Rep. Denny Rehberg, Montana state Auditor Troy Downing and Superintendent of Public Instruction Elsie Arntzen, who had said she would run only if Rosendale did not.

Democrats have struggled to gain a foothold in the district since it was redrawn for the 2022 election, when Montana gained a second congressional seat due to its growing population. The party’s nominee that year, former state lawmaker Penny Ronning, finished third in the general election with just 20% of the vote, behind Rosendale and Independent Gary Buchanan.

Rosendale’s exit gives Democrats a potential opening in November since their nominee won’t be up against an incumbent. Yet they still face long odds given the district’s conservative leanings.

“This is our moment, Montana,” Democratic House candidate Ming Cabrera said in an email to supporters just over an hour after Rosendale’s announcement. “The odds of flipping this seat and handing it back to a real Montanan have never been better.”

GOP leaders in Washington favored Sheehy over Rosendale in the Senate race because they viewed the political newcomer as having a better chance to unseat Tester as they try to wrest control of the Senate.

Democrats hold a slim majority in the chamber and will have several vulnerable incumbents on the November ballot, including Tester.

Rosendale, a former state lawmaker and state auditor, ran against Tester and lost in 2018, despite multiple visits to the state on his behalf by then-President Trump.

Montana Republican Party Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt said Friday that the party was grateful for Rosendale’s years of service.

“We wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Kaltschmidt said in a statement.

Gold Star Mom: Biden Still Hasn’t Reached Out After Daughter-in-Law’s Death in Kabul

(Headline USA) Gold Star mother Christy Shamblin, whose daughter-in-law was killed during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, revealed this week that President Joe Biden still has not reached out to her or her family despite her attempts to speak with him, the Free Beacon reported.

CNN’s Abby Phillip asked Shamblin about the response she’s received from the White House, since Biden “does talk to families that have lost loved ones because of his own experiences,” referring to the tragic deaths in Biden’s own family.

“Have you spoken to him?” Phillip asked.

Shamblin replied, “No. He’s not reached out to our family. We’ve actually reached out to the White House and have never heard back. We asked to meet with them to understand where their thinking was in calling this a success and we’ve not received a response. It’s been months.”

Phillip appeared stunned at Shamblin’s admission, saying, “I’m sorry to hear that.”

Shamblin’s daughter-in-law, Nicole Gee, was one of the 13 American servicemembers killed in an attack at Abbey Gate by a suicide bomber. Shamblin was one of several Gold Star family members invited by lawmakers to the State of the Union address on Thursday.

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, who invited Shamblin to the address, said he hoped her attendance would force Biden to take responsibility for the loss of American lives during the bungled withdrawal.

“More than two years after the death of Christy’s daughter-in-law and 12 other U.S. servicemembers at Abbey Gate, the Biden administration still refuses to take accountability for the tragedy it caused,” McCaul said in a statement.

“I hope Christy’s attendance sends a clear signal to President Biden and the American people that I will not rest until a complete and thorough investigation has occurred—and that people are held accountable for what happened,” he added.

Another Gold Star parent in attendance at the State of the Union, Steve Nikoui, was arrested during the address after he interrupted Biden, shouting “Abbey Gate!” repeatedly. Nikoui’s son Kareem Nikoui, was also killed during the suicide bomber’s attack.

Laken Riley’s Mother Rebukes Biden’s ‘Pathetic’ Name Botch: ‘Disgrace of a President’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The grieving mother of the beloved George nursing student Laken Riley broke her silence after President Joe Biden botched her daughter’s name during the State of the Union address on Thursday.

“Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name – it [sic] pathetic!” Allyson Philips wrote on a Friday Facebook post hailing the Laken Riley Act, according to the New York Post. “If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!” she insisted.”

Seemingly embracing a comment that scolded Biden as “a disgrace of a president,” she wrote: “Amen.”

Philips’s remarks came in response to Biden referring to Riley as “Lincoln, Lincoln Riley” on Thursday.

This verbal slip followed disruption caused by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who interrupted Biden’s speech as he urged Congress to pass an infamous bipartisan Senate bill.

“Say her name!” Greene shouted, disrupting Biden’s speech.

In response, the president raised a pin that had the phrase “SAY HER NAME LAKEN RILEY” inscribed on it. Green passed the pin as Biden entered the House chamber.

However, Biden’s attempt to counter was blundered by his failure to correctly say Riley’s name.

“Lincoln — Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right, but how many of the thousands of people being killed by illegals,” Biden retorted.

The president’s reference to Riley marked a poignant moment in the harrowing murder of Riley, a 22-year-old student at the University of Georgia.

She was on a morning run when she was attacked by 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra, a Venezuelan national residing in the country illegally. Her body was found on Feb. 22.

Ibarra brutally murdered Riley as she evidently fought him, breaking her skull. Local authorities determined that Riley died of blunt force trauma, resulting in her injuries caused by Ibarra.

Critics, including Riley’s mother, assert that the murder could have been avoided, as Ibarra was in the country illegally after being paroled by the Biden administration in September 2022.

A year later, Ibarra was arrested by the NYPD for using a moped with a minor and without a license. ICE did not issue a detainer before the man made his way into Georgia, where he also had a run-in with law enforcement for shoplifting.

He ultimately carried out Riley’s murder, investigators alleged. He is currently in custody.

Furthermore, Ibarra’s brother, Diego Ibarra, faces his own legal woes, having been detained by federal prosecutors for using a fake green card to obtain employment at the University of Georgia—the same school where Riley studied.

Gold-Star Dad’s SOTU Arrest Sparks Outrage as Hamas Protesters Go Free

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The father of a U.S. Marine killed in combat was arrested after he heckled President Joe Biden during his State of the Union speech Thursday evening, the New York Post reported.

The president claimed during his speech that he had achieved one of his main goals: making the nation “safer” than it was under former President Donald Trump, although he did not specify what metrics he was using to define his success.

“America’s safer today than when I took office,” Biden, 81,

However, he was interrupted by Steve Nikoui, 51, the father of Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui.

The baby-faced 20-year-old was one of 13 services members killed during a catastrophic suicide bombing at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, as the military frantically attempted to airlift people out following a takeover by the Taliban—a strategic failure resulting from Biden’s overeagerness to withdraw from the 20-year occupation.

“Abbey Gate,” Nikoui shouted in the middle of Biden’s speech, alluding to the location of the terrorist bombing. “Second Battalion, First Marines!”

He was escorted out by Capitol Police after the speech and taken into custody soon thereafter. Footage of his arrest was captured on video:

Nikoui,—an invited guest of Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., at the speech—was charged with crowding, obstructing, or incommoding Congress, a misdemeanor.

However, he was not the only one present at the U.S. Capitol who was vocally objecting to the president’s foreign-policy blunders.

Before the event, pro-Hamas protesters flooded the 2-mile stretch between the White House and the Capitol, blocking the president’s motorcade route and forcing the motorcade to take a different path, the Gateway Pundit reported.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” the protesters shouted as they blocked off the road, holding up signs that read, “End the Blockade of Gaza.”

“We are here today because enough is enough,” said Ahmad Abuznaid, executive director of the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, the group sponsoring the protest.

Yet the regime’s double-standard was once again exposed. As Nikoui was arrested and charged, the rioters outside went free and unpunished for their role in disrupting the speech.

Several social-media users commented on the duplicity, demanding that Nikoui be released and pointing out the irony in the situation as a true measure of the “state of the union” in Biden’s America.

Dems Blast Biden for Calling Murderous Newcomer an ‘Illegal’

(Headline USA) Several Democrats lashed out at President Joe Biden after he used the phrase “illegal immigrant” during his State of the Union address on Thursday night, the HuffPost reported.

Biden made the comment after being forced by congressional Republicans—including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.—to mention Laken Riley, a Georgia nursing student who was brutally murdered in February by an illegal alien with ties to a Venezuelan crime syndicate who had fled south after being arrested in New York and managing to avoid a detainer from Immigration and Customs Services due to its “sanctuary city” status.

“An innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal,” he said of Riley. “That’s right, but how many of the thousands of people being killed by legals—to her parents?”

Although the Biden administration’s open-border policies bear the brunt of the blame for a rash of shocking crimes linked to “newcomers,” as Biden previously referred to them, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other radical leftists managed to take anti-American posturing to the next level of insanity, helping the embattled Biden to appear rational by comparison.

Pelosi was asked about Biden’s immigration about-face during a post-address CNN interview, and she admitted his wording wasn’t ideal.

“Well, we usually say ‘undocumented,’” she began.

“He said ‘illegal.’ I don’t think it’s a big deal,” Pelosi continued. “I don’t think it’s a big deal, because I think his focus was on the sympathy for the family. It’s a terrible tragedy.”

Others on the Left, however, made clear just how much they disapproved of Biden’s comment.

“As a proud immigrant, I’m extremely disappointed to hear President Biden use the word ‘illegal,’” tweeted Rep. Chuy García, D-Ill.

“Squad” Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., agreed: “Let me be clear,” she said. “No human being is illegal.”

Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Ill., called Biden’s comments “dehumanizing” and accused him of using “right wing rhetoric to speak about immigrants … No human being is illegal.”

Even Biden’s campaign co-chair, Mitch Landrieu, admitted on Friday that Biden should not have used the word “illegal” to describe Riley’s killer.

“He probably should have used a different word, and I think he would know that,” Landrieu said on CNN Friday morning.

“But what you should notice about that is not that he made a small mistake,” added the former New Orleans mayor. “The big thing that he did right—and this is what this president always does—is express empathy to people.”

Some Twitter users, however, noted that the reaction to Biden’s word choice itself was a reflection of how much control the fringe now has over the party at large—something that has been evident throughout Biden’s administration as his handlers are forced to reconcile his own history of often inappropriate—and even racist legislative actions and rhetoric—with their progressive and politically correct agenda.

A resurfaced video of current Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer showed him speaking in robust defense of the word “illegal” and suggesting that efforts to sugar-coat the immigration issue were tantamount to sanctioning it.

“When we use phrases like ‘undocumented workers,’ we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combatting illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose,” Schumer said in 2009.

” … If you don’t think it’s illegal, you’re not going to say it,” he added. “I think it is illegal and wrong, and we have to change it.”

The Intercept Confirms Headline USA Investigation into Undercover FBI Agent ‘Red’

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Last March, Headline USA published an investigation into undercover FBI agent “Red,” who fomented a left-wing plot to assassinate Colorado’s attorney general in August 2020, before participating in the conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer a month later.

At the time, this publication used circumstantial evidence to infer that the FBI agent “Red” in Colorado and Michigan was the same person: special agent Timothy Bates. In both cases, “Red” is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall with facial hair and a tattoo sleeve going down his arm. “Red” was also introduced to Black Lives Matter activists and militiamen alike as an ex-military, outlaw munitions expert. And moreover, “Red” took each of his targets on surveillance car rides.

This week, The Intercept published a bombshell article on the Whitmer kidnap plot that confirmed Headline USA’s March 29, 2023, report. The Intercept’s story largely focused on the criminal FBI informant Stephen Robeson and how he fomented the Whitmer kidnap plot, but the article also confirmed that Bates was indeed the same agent to infiltrate BLM and the Midwest militia movement during the summer of 2020.

According to The Intercept, Red was introduced to the Midwest militia scene during a Sept. 12, 2020, training exercise in Luther, Michigan.

“’Red’ was in fact Timothy Bates, an undercover FBI agent who identifies himself in government recordings as ‘UCE 7775,’ referring to his FBI undercover employee number. Just three weeks earlier, Bates had been in Denver, where he encouraged political violence. In Colorado, an FBI informant named Mickey Windecker introduced Bates to a racial justice activist who expressed interest in assassinating the state’s attorney general — a plot that, like the one targeting Virginia’s governor, ultimately fizzled,” The Intercept explained.

“Bates and Chappel, both Army veterans, led a close-quarters combat training for the Wolverine Watchmen. Bates also told the group gathered in Michigan that he could supply explosives. The group’s rough plan to kidnap Whitmer at her vacation home involved possibly blowing up a nearby bridge to slow rescue efforts.”
