Far-Left NPR’s New CEO Criticizes Employee for Revealing Medium’s Leftist Bias

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) NPR CEO and president Katherine Maher criticized senior editor Uri Berliner after the Free Press published his op-ed, in which he claimed that NPR had displayed far-left political bias on several occasions and “lost America’s trust” as a result of that.

Maher, who became the CEO and president of the taxpayer-funded organization just three weeks ago, claimed that Berliner’s assessment which was made after working for NPR for 25 years was “deeply simplistic” as well as “profoundly disrespectful, hurtful and demeaning.”

“Asking a question about whether we’re living up to our mission should always be fair game: after all, journalism is nothing if not hard questions. Questioning whether our people are serving our mission with integrity, based on little more than the recognition of their identity, is profoundly disrespectful, hurtful and demeaning,” she wrote.

Maher then gaslighted everyone by suggesting that Berliner’s assessment of bias had been based on his objections to a diverse workplace — when, in fact, he had given a series of examples where diversity of thought had either not existed or had been actively shut down.

“It is deeply simplistic to assert that the diversity of America can be reduced to any particular set of beliefs, and faulty reasoning to infer that identity is determinative of one’s thoughts or political leanings,” she wrote.

Maher continued defending NPR employees by saying that none of them worked there because they were hired for diversity quotas, despite the organization’s constant defense and promotion of DEI.

“Each of our colleagues is here because they are excellent, accomplished professionals with an intense commitment to our work: we are stronger because of the work we do together, and we owe each other our utmost respect. We fulfill our mission best when we look and sound like the country we serve,” she wrote.

After Maher’s objections surfaced, people on social media quickly found evidence of her having a far-left bias, such as her promotion and defense of wearing masks, “climate change” and “gender” ideologies, anti-white racism, looting by non-whites and Joe Biden.

‘MAGA Mike’ Teams w/ Trump to Unveil SAVE Act, Requiring Proof of Citizenship to Vote

(Matthew Doarnberger, Headline USA) During their meeting last Friday at Mar-a-Lago, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., joined former president Donald Trump to officially announce the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act or SAVE Act.

The bill, first introduced by Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, would require proof of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote in an election, among other things.

The bill specifies what forms of government-issued identification would be accepted as evidence of citizenship. It then goes on the address other voting issues, like allowing states to remove noncitizens from voter rolls and introducing penalties for registering an applicant who fails to provide proof of citizenship.

“Since 1993, the National Voter Registration Act—we call it the motor voter law—allows people to sign up to vote when they get a driver’s license,” Johnson said, according to Breitbart.

“If an individual … simply states that they are a citizen, they don’t have to prove it,” Johnson noted of the loophole that Democrats have exploited to muddy the waters of the electorate. “They can register that person to vote in a federal election—and, you see, states are currently prohibited … believe it or not, the states are prohibited from asking someone to prove that they are a citizen.”

Johnson went on to connect election integrity to the growing crisis occurring at the southern border.

“It will provide access to databases from the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to help the states administer this as the entity that is responsible for regulating federal elections,” he said. “We cannot wait for widespread fraud to occur, especially when the threat of it is growing with every single illegal immigrant that crosses that border.”

Given the small majority that the Republicans currently have in the House of Representatives, there could be reason to doubt the passage of the SAVE Act.

Johnson no doubt hopes the bill will unite a significant number of Republicans in the midst of recent infighting and an attempt to remove him as speaker.

Bill Maher Admits Abortion Is Murder, Then Justifies It

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Comedian and talk show host Bill Maher recently admitted that abortion is murder while also justifying it by using the “overpopulation” argument to win back his shocked and speechless audience.

Maher made his remarks on Apr. 12, 2024, when he spoke with British columnist Gillian Tett and journalist Piers Morgan about the murder of unborn children.

“None of you believe it’s murder. You know, that’s why I don’t understand the 15-week thing or the — Trump’s plan [to] leave it to the states. You mean, so killing babies is okay in some states?” Maher said.

He then continued by saying that he respects absolutists on the pro-life side while also saying the quiet part out loud.

“Like, I can respect the absolutist position. I really can. I scold the left when they say, ‘Oh, you know what? They just hate women. People who aren’t… pro-choice.’ They don’t hate women. [Leftists] just made that up. They think it’s murder, and it kind of is,” he said.

To win back his audience, Maher tried to justify abortion by using one of the eugenicist arguments — the overpopulation of the planet.

“I’m just okay with that. I am. I mean there are 8 billion people in the world. I’m sorry, we won’t miss you. That’s my position on that,” he said.

Pro-life activist Kristan Hawkins, the president of Students for Life of America, responded to Maher’s comments.

“This is THE question around abortion — do all humans have equal rights & value or don’t they? If you are pro-choice, you should be man enough to admit abortion is murder. At least @billmaher is an honest pro-abortionist and isn’t willing to deny science to justify his belief,” she said.

Legal scholar Robert P. George, the sixth McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, also shared his thoughts regarding Maher’s recent remarks.

“Extraordinary candor. Shocking and indeed chilling,” he said.

Anti-Israel Activists Defend Iran, Chant ‘Death to America’ after Iranian Attack on Israel

(Headline USA) Anti-Israel activists in Chicago protested in support of Iran after the Islamic regime’s drone attack on Israel this weekend and called for the “death” of America, according to viral video footage.

The video shows Hatem Abudayyeh, an activist who leads the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, announcing to more than 300 protesters that Iran launched a drone and missile attack on the Jewish state.

“They believe that they will be in Palestinian—I don’t call it Israeli—airspace between 2 and 4 a.m., which means about two to four hours from now,” he told the crowd.

Abudayyeh went on to argue that the U.S. should stop Israel from “expanding this war and hitting Iran” in return.

“We’ve got to be the strong, powerful anti-war movement that we are,” he said before exiting the stage.

“We have to assume the United States is going to retaliate against Iran,” he continued. “Our anti-war movement, all of the anti-war communities here and all of the Palestine support coalitions here, must be ready, immediately, to be out in the streets and to stop the U.S. from expanding this war on Iran.”

The protesters then began to chant, “Hands off Iran!”

Earlier in the day the protesters were also filmed chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” in Farsi, Iran’s native language. The language was taught to the participants by organizer Shabbir Rizvi, who told them they should recite the changes if they ever encounter “Zionist freaks,” according to The Free Press.

“It can either mean, ‘death to,’ or ‘down with,’” he instructed them.

The “Death to America” chant first went viral during an anti-Israel protest in Dearborn, Michigan, earlier this month.

Most Democratic leaders have tried to distance themselves from the activists’ radicalism, with even the White House denouncing the rhetoric.

“Peaceful protests are something that the president has also been very clear that, its important to give folks space to peacefully protest,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said. “But any type of violent rhetoric, we are going to denounce.”

A few, however, including Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., whose district includes Dearborn, have been noticeably silent on the controversy, even lashing out at a Fox News reporter who questioned her about it.

At both protests, the activists railed against the Biden administration for its continued support of Israel.

“It’s not Genocide Joe that has to go; it’s the entire system that has to go,” Takek Bazzi, who helped organize the Dearborn rally, said. “Any system that would allow such atrocities and such devilry to happen and would support it—such a system does not deserve to exist on God’s earth.”

Southern Poverty Law Center Adds Libs of TikTok to Infamous ‘Extremist Files’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a left-wing organization monitoring hate groups, announced on Monday the inclusion of Chaya Raichik, founder of Libs of TikTok, into its contentious “Extremist Files” blacklist.

The contentious “Extremist Files” list encompasses individuals categorized by the organization as “white nationalists,” “anti-LGBTQ zealots,” “racist skinheads” and “neo-Confederates.”

Raichik, renowned for founding the prominent Twitter page, garnered attention in 2021 for reposting content from left-wing and LGBTQ community members on various subjects, including gender identity and sexual education. Raichik intends to highlight what she has described as the lunacy of the left.

In an email obtained by Headline USA, the SPLC accused Raichik of using her platform to “promote an anti-LGBTQ+ disinformation campaign that mobilizes right-wing extremist groups in violent attacks against LGBTQ+ people, spaces and events, as well as against doctors, hospitals, librarians, libraries, teachers and schools.”

Despite its broad assertions against Libs of TikTok, SPLC provided scant evidence to substantiate its claims that Libs of TikTok or Raichik’s posts had incited the purported violent attacks against the aforementioned groups.

“Raichik’s online disinformation campaign has been associated with in-person violence,” asserted the SPLC in the email. “Her false claims about hospitals and about LGBTQ+ people ‘grooming’ children have mobilized white supremacist, anti-LGBTQ+ and other extremist groups to pursue in-person attacks. “

Later in the email, the SPLC referenced a report by the Washington Post, in which Twitter employees purportedly suggested that Raichik’s posts could result in somebody getting killed. However, there is no evidence to indicate that Raichik’s posts represent a genuine threat.

“Along with threats to children’s physical safety — including bomb threats to children’s hospitals — the disinformation campaign led some hospitals and clinics to suspend care or remove vital information from their websites, which jeopardizes the lives of LGBTQ+ people,” added the SPLC.

This wouldn’t be the SPLC’s initial assault on Libs of TikTok and Raichik. In October 2023, an SPLC writer delivered negative remarks in response to a Daily Beast report about Libs of TikTok.

The SPLC has garnered criticism for its tendency to recklessly conflate conservative organizations, activists and religious entities with neo-Nazi and hate groups. Notably, within its “Extremist Files,” the SPLC has targeted renowned figures such as journalist Jack Posobiec and former White House official Stephen Miller.

Calif. Legislators Try Again to Fix Law that Makes Buying Child Sex a Misdemeanor

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A California bill may make the crime of buying child sex a serious felony, replacing the current statute in the far-left state that treats pedophilia as just a misdemeanor.

A bipartisan bill would raise pedophilia from a misdemeanor to a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000 while also requiring a person who was convicted of soliciting a minor to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

The measure introduced by State Senator Shannon Grove, R-Calif., in February 2024 and co-sponsored by two Democrats, is scheduled for a committee vote on Apr. 16, 2024. As of Apr. 11, 2024, the new bill didn’t have the votes to make it out of committee.

To solve this problem, Grove said she is working on negotiating with her colleagues without giving up the most important parts of the bill, the Daily Wire reported.

In 2023, Grove convinced a Democrat-controlled legislature to pass a similar bill that reclassified child sex trafficking from a misdemeanor to a major felony, which established harsher criminal penalties for traffickers. The bill became the law on Jan. 1, 2024.

However, it seems that the only reason why Democrats supported the sex trafficking bill was because they faced backlash on social media after their initial reluctance became public knowledge.

Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., claimed that he supported last year’s bill, adding that he called Grove to say how “surprised” he was when the bill initially failed to pass the committee vote.

However, it looks like these were the words without any kind of evidence, considering that Newsom previously loosened sex-offender penalties for LGBT pedophiles and that before the successful bill last year, lawmakers had tried at least nine times since 2007 to reclassify child sex trafficking as a more serious crime.

This year, Grove said that the focus will be on the purchasers of child sex because that is what the sex trafficking survivors advised Grove to do if she really wants to crack down on the child sex trade.

Helen Taylor, vice president of impact at Exodus Cry, a nonprofit that works to abolish illegal sex trafficking, urged committee members to vote in favor of the bill on Apr. 16, 2024.

“Our laws send a message about what behaviors we are willing to tolerate. Paying money to abuse a child is something we will not tolerate. It is surely a ‘no brainer’ to make buying a child for sex a felony in California and if not, we have a serious problem,” she said.

Claudine Gay to Teach Harvard Course in ‘Research,’ Despite History of Plagiarism

(Headline USA) Disgraced former Harvard University President Claudine Gay will teach a graduate-level course on “Reading and Researching” this fall, according to the College Fix.

Gay, who resigned from her position in January over multiple allegations of plagiarism and her failure to condemn anti-Semitism on campus, taught the same course this spring because it had been scheduled before she resigned.

Harvard’s website claims the course requires “written work of sufficient quantity and equality so that the course is equivalent to a lecture course of a seminar.”

Gay’s own research as an academic was heavily plagiarized, according to in-depth reviews of her work. She published just 17 works during her tenure as a professor and researcher, and eight of them drew verbatim from other academics’ work, the Washington Free Beacon found.

After announcing her resignation, Gay blamed the allegations of plagiarism on racism.

“It has been distressing to have doubts cast on my commitments to confronting hate and upholding scholarly rigor—two bedrock values that are fundamental to who I am—and frightening to be subjected to personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus,” she said at the time.

Despite Gay’s resignation, she is not only still teaching at the university but is also still collecting her $900,000-per-year salary, according to the New York Post.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., who grilled Gay on her handling of anti-Semitism on campus during a congressional hearing, said it should be obvious that Gay is not qualified to teach at or lead the school.

“She’s not fit to be a faculty member,” Stefanik said.

“It’s unacceptable when you have students at Harvard who would be expelled for plagiarism to allow a faculty member who has nearly 50 examples of plagiarism in their very slim body of academic work,” the lawmaker added. “It’s absurd and everybody knows it. Harvard knows it too.”

Clyburn Blames ‘Misinformation’ for Hillary’s 2016 Loss, Biden’s Bad Poll Numbers

(Headline USA) Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., claimed this week that Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign was a victim of “misinformation,” and warned that President Joe Biden’s reelection bid could suffer the same fate.

In an interview with MSNBC on Saturday, Clyburn addressed several recent polls that show Biden losing to former President Donald Trump in key battleground states and echoed concerns he raised earlier this year about Biden struggling among key demographics, including black voters.

“I am still concerned because I have been around this business long enough to know that were it not for misinformation, that Hillary Clinton would have been elected president of the United States—I think all of us know that,” Clyburn claimed.

“Decisions can be made based upon false information,” he continued. “That is what concerns me. I want the American voter to be well informed, blacks and whites.”

Clyburn did not elaborate on the exact “misinformation” that he believes cost Clinton the election.

He did, however, suggest that voters were not adequately aware of Biden’s achievements in office, praising the president for canceling student loan debt, passing a bipartisan infrastructure bill, and getting the economy “back on track.”

The latest economic data showed that inflation continues to be a concern—fueled largely by Biden’s spending policies, including his illegal loan-amnesty decrees and the massive so-called Inflation Reduction Act. The uptick caused the Federal Reserve to backpedal on promises of a rate decrease, which in turn has contributed to several serious bear-market days on Wall Street.

Clyburn has previously suggested that reports about a worsening economy are “misinformation.” Last week, for example, he claimed the Biden administration got inflation under control just minutes before the Consumer Price Index revealed inflation was still hotter than expected.

Clyburn admitted Americans “are seeing the prices at the stores costing more money,” but falsely claimed that “people are in fact earning greater incomes” and “the inflation rates are down.” Data indicate that, on average, pay raises have been insufficient to offset the rise in inflation, meaning that most people are now effectively making less than they did before Biden took office.

In 2008, during Hillary Clinton’s first bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, Clyburn admitted that former President Bill Clinton blamed him for his wife’s loss to then-Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in South Carolina’s primary. Clyburn claimed the former president later apologized to him, which the congressman “halfheartedly” accepted.

Police Seize E. Jean Carroll’s Illegal Handgun Following Trump Testimony

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) New York police officers confiscated an unlicensed firearm from the home of Manhattan socialite and serial rape accuser E. Jean Carroll after her testimony in a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, NBC News reported.

Carroll admitted to having a “high standard revolver, nine chambers” on the second day of the civil trial.

“I still do not have a license,” she said.

Reporting officer John Rader offered to take the gun and keep it at her local police station until Carroll obtained the proper license.

A member of Carroll’s security team passed off the gun to Rader.

Neither Carroll’s team nor Rader responded to NBC News’s requests for comments.

According to New York state law, possession of an unregistered firearm can result in charges of felony criminal possession, a sentence that comes with a maximum of four years of prison time.

Presiding Judge Lewis Kaplan refused to let Trump attorney Alina Habba question Carroll about the firearm.

He also rejected arguments by Trump’s attorneys to declare a mistrial, as Carroll tampered with evidence by deleting threatening text messages—some containing death threats.

The revolver became a topic of interest in Trump’s countersuit against Carroll’s defamation lawsuit against him, which claimed Trump had defamed Carroll by denying her highly dubious accusations of a sexual assault three decades ago in a department store dressing room.

Trump’s lawyers alleged Carroll defamed him after a civil trial ruled he was not liable for the rape claims—which requires a much higher evidentiary standard than sexual assault.

“Due to [Carroll]’s repeated falsehoods and defamatory statements made against [Trump], [Trump] has been the subject of significant harm to his reputation, which, in turn, has yielded an inordinate amount of damages sustained as a result,” the filing said.

In Carroll’s initial defamation trial, a jury ordered Trump to pay Carroll $83.3 million in damages for repeated defamation.

The jury said $11 million paid for damage to Carroll’s reputation, $7.3 million covered her emotional harm and the additional $65 million covered punitive damages.

Dog-Centric Airline to Feature In-Flight Squirrel Vids, Doggie Champagne

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As American airlines continue to raise prices and cut amenities for flyers, a new airline is launching to respond to consumer needs.

This airline, however, will prioritize not people, but dogs, Fast Company reported.

Bark Air purports to be a dog-centric company, which allows humans to fly alongside their fur babies.

According to its website, the airline will prioritize making a low stress flying environment in order to help wealthy people and their posh animals avoid the masses.

For now, Bark Air will fly between London, England; New York City; and Los Angeles. Tickets cost $6,000 one-way from L.A. to New York and $8,000 one-way from New York to London.

“On the travel day, dogs and their people will arrive at the airport 45-minutes to an hour before the flight for a simple, efficient check-in process,” the site says. “A highly skilled BARK Air concierge will welcome all pups and help them settle in to their experience through socialization at the gate and dog-centric cabin preparation.”

In order to make the day of travel more pleasant for dogs, the flights will also include “calming aids,” such as “pheromone, music, warm lavender scented refreshment towels, and other comforts to help each dog feel settled.”

The dogs will even be able to “choose” their favorite beverages to drink as they fly, or get a belly rub at the touch of a button.

Jeff Benjamin, chief creative officer at Tombras, a creative agency partnering with Bark Air, ensured potential customers that the airline is not a joke.

“It’s not some elaborate prank,” he said, adding that serving dogs is very important to him and those at Bark Air.

“Bark Air is a totally real airline, built for real dogs and the real owners who love them,” he continued. “Because of this tension we thought all we needed to do is behave the same way any airline would—but do it for dogs.”
