Kamala Launches ‘Republican’ Coalition Literally Filled w/ RINOs, Biden Backers

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Self-described Republicans have launched a new mobilization campaign in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris, in what appears to be a desperate effort to gain relevancy ahead of the 2024 election.

The group includes former governors and members of Congress, who, according to a Headline USA review, are not even active members of the Republican Party. Despite this, the Harris campaign hailed the group as a “grassroots organizing program” to battle President Donald Trump.

Among the members are former White House aides Stephanie Grisham, the little-known former press secretary who never held a press briefing, and Mike Pence’s aide Olivia Troye—both of whom admitted not voting for the Republican ticket in 2020.

Additionally, the group features former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, an embattled former lawmaker with an extensive record of donating to Democrats, and former Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, who has voted against the Republican nominee on every presidential ticket for the last eight years.

Other notable members of the so-called Republican coalition include former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, the infamous anti-Trump lawmaker who participated in the Jan. 6 Select Committee.

He infamously voted to impeach Trump in 2021 and decided not to run for re-election amid concerns of an embarrassing primary challenge. Kinzinger is now a paid CNN contributor, and a Twitter personality known for his anti-Trump sentiments.

Similarly, former Rep. Denver Riggleman, who was ousted in 2020 by now-Rep. Bob Good, the chair of the House Freedom Caucus, has backed the group. Riggleman works as a defense attorney for President Joe Biden’s convicted son, Hunter.

Adding to the list, former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, who on Friday received a strong rebuke from the Georgia GOP for backing Harris, is also a member of the coalition. The state party is now proposing rules to ban him from ever running for office as a Republican.

Disgraced former Rep. Joe Walsh, now a Twitter personality and infamous Never Trumper, is another part of the pro-Harris coalition.

Walsh served one term in Congress and ran a long-shot challenge to Trump in 2020, dropping out after Iowa and subsequently endorsing Biden.

Former Illinois Gov. Jim Edgar—who has never voted for Trump—and former Rep. Wayne Gilchrest—who left the GOP nearly four years ago—are also members of the Harris coalition.

‘Be Careful’: Neil Gorsuch Issues Dire Warning Over Biden’s Reforms

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch issued a stern warning about President Joe Biden’s proposals to reform the court system, which many have described as a desperate effort to thwart the conservative majority.

Justice Gorsuch, appointed by President Donald Trump in 2017, declined to comment on specific proposals like age limits but cautioned against hindering the judiciary’s independence during a Sunday interview with Fox News Sunday with anchor Shannon Bream.

“You are not in a bubble here at the courts. There are real world events happening. … How does the court feel about potential changes, term limits, ethics codes that are enforced by someone in ways that it isn’t now?” Bream asked.

In response, Gorsuch said, “Shannon, you’re not going to be surprised that I’m not going to get into what is now a political issue during a presidential election year. I don’t think that would be helpful.”

He added, “I have one thought to add, it is that the independent judiciary … means that when you’re unpopular, you can get a fair hearing under the law and under the Constitution.”

Gorsuch emphasized that the judiciary’s role is to protect Americans’ rights against government persecution.

“Don’t you want a ferociously independent judge and a jury of your peers to make those decisions? Isn’t that your right as an American? And so, I just say be careful,” Gorsuch concluded.

Gorsuch appeared on Fox News to promote his new book, Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law, where he scolds the unprecedented growth of laws and regulations in the U.S.

His remarks came less than a week after Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris announced a “bold plan” to reform the Supreme Court and “ensure no president is above the law.”

The proposed changes include abolishing presidential immunity, imposing term limits on justices and radically reforming ethics codes.

These changes are seen as a direct challenge to President Donald Trump and the six conservative justices currently on the bench.

Last month, the court ruled that Trump enjoyed presidential immunity from prosecution, reaffirming long-standing legal theories and angering the Democratic Party.

The proposed ethics code appears to target Justice Clarence Thomas, who faced criticism from ProPublica for allegedly failing to disclose gifts from friends. ProPublica is a leftist organization claiming to be a news organization.

Pelosi’s Propagandist Plea: Put Biden on Mount Rushmore

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called for President Joe Biden to be honored on Mount Rushmore, a national symbol of freedom and democracy, in a statement that echoed the rhetoric of a propagandist regime.

Pelosi made this recommendation during an interview on the latest installment of CBS Sunday Morning as journalist Lesley Stahl asked Pelosi about her role in pressuring Biden to step down from the 2024 Democratic ticket.

“He was in a good place to make whatever decision, top of his game,” Pelosi said of Biden. “Such a consequential president of the United States. A Mount Rushmore-kind-of-president of the United States.”

Stahl, taken aback by Pelosi’s assertion, asked, “Are you really saying that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?”

Pelosi doubled down, responding, “Well, you got Teddy Roosevelt up there and he is wonderful. I don’t say take him down, but you could add Biden.”

Mount Rushmore was built in 1927 to commemorate the nation’s founding, expansion, preservation and unification, the U.S. National Park Service says on its website.

It is unclear what specific achievements Pelosi believes qualify Biden, an embattled and unpopular president, for a place on the monument.

The monument features the busts of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.

Pelosi’s praise of Biden follows her vicious efforts, alongside other prominent Democrats, to coerce Biden to step down from the 2024 race due to polling data suggesting he would likely lose to President Donald Trump.

In her interview with Stahl, Pelosi denied leading these efforts, claiming she did not pressure Biden to quit.

“I could always say to him, I never called anybody. What I’m saying is I had confidence that the president would make the proper choice for our country, whatever that would be, and I said that. Whatever that is, we’ll go with,” she explained.

California Sends Military Prosecutors to Alameda County as Violent Crime Doubles

(Kenneth Schrupp, The Center Square) – California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced he is deploying California National Guard lawyers to prosecute cases in Alameda County, where Oakland is. Newsom’s office also detailed Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price’s months of delays preventing CalGuard’s deployment, publicly highlighting the state of the district attorney’s office.

Alameda County violent crime rose 188% in 2023 compared to 2022, 74% of which was in Oakland, where violent crime rose 237% over 2022.

In February, Newsom offered Cal Guard and California Department of Justice lawyers and investigators to assist Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price. Skyrocketing crime in Oakland is so bad offices are telling employees it’s unsafe to leave the building for lunch and fast food chains are shutting down otherwise profitable locations.

On July 10, Newsom’s office sent a letter to Price’s office saying that “despite our outreach, your office has yet to make use of these resources.” The letter details how CalGuard sent a draft memorandum to begin operations soon after Newsom’s February announcement, and that months later in April, CalGuard offered to be deputized under Price’s office.

“After several months of communications, including fulfilling requests from your office for resumes and interviews, you have not taken the initial steps of finalizing the memorandum of understanding or deputizing Cal Guard attorneys to work in your office,” Newsom’s office wrote.

Newsom has since reached an agreement with Price modeled on a successful and ongoing Cal Guard deployment of lawyers to San Francisco.

“Today we’re advancing accountability and justice for East Bay communities, by quickly securing an agreement to provide additional resources to prosecute criminal behavior,” said Newsom in a statement on the finalized agreement.

Last week, Newsom urged the City of Oakland to reconsider its policy of severely limiting the circumstances under which the Oakland Police Department is allowed to chase criminals.

Oil Giant Chevron Relocating Headquarters from California to Texas

(Kenneth Schrupp, The Center Square) – Energy giant Chevron announced it is relocating its headquarters from San Ramon in California to Houston, Texas. Chevron said it has approximately 2,000 employees in California and will be relocating all corporate staff not supporting its continuing California operations to Houston in the next five years.

While Chevron did not say anything about California in its announcement, it did say it is moving to Houston, the home of America’s energy sector, to “to co-locate with other senior leaders and enable better collaboration and engagement with executives, employees, and business partners.”

In its release, Chevron also noted it wishes to “grow our oil and gas business, lower the carbon intensity of our operations and grow lower carbon businesses in renewable fuels, carbon capture and offsets, hydrogen and other emerging technologies.”

Energy companies had been considering placing a measure on the ballot to roll back SB 1137, a 2022 law that put limits on oil and gas wells within 3,200 feet of schools and homes. They withdrew the measure — after spending $20 million gathering enough signatures — to pursue legal action instead where they believe voters can’t be misled by “unfounded claims.”

“Greedy oil companies know that drilling results in more kids getting asthma, more children born with birth defects, and more communities exposed to toxic, dangerous chemicals – but they would rather put our health at risk than sacrifice a single cent of their billions in profits,” said California Gov. Gavin Newsom when he signed SB 1137 into law and shared his support for a bill limiting oil producers’ profits that he also signed into law.

“Big Oil knows that California is moving beyond fossil fuels, so on their way out these corporations are doing everything they can to squeeze out profits as they pollute our communities,” Newsom continued. “California will hold Big Oil accountable, and it starts with passing our price gouging penalty to prevent extreme gas price spikes like the one we saw last fall.”

Appearing on CNBC to discuss the move, Chevron CEO Michael Wirth said “California is discouraging investment in the energy that runs its economy.”

Chevron is quick on the heels of X and SpaceX; last month, Elon Musk announced he is moving X and SpaceX to Texas after Newsom signed a bill banning parental notification for gender change requests from K-12 students.

Shoplifting Rose 24% This Year, No End in Sight

(Casey Harper, The Center Square) – Shoplifting has soared in the U.S. in 2024, forcing many stores to leave cities and continuing a trend in recent years.

Shoplifting has risen 24% in the first half of 2024 alone, according to newly released data from the Council on Criminal Justice.

The White House cited the CCJ’s data to boast a drop in violent crime so far this year, but a closer look at the data showed that while violent crime has declined, shoplifting continues to rise. CCJ studied 23 U.S. cities.

Shoplifting has become a major problem in cities around the country, with some store owners announcing they had to close up shop because of the increased theft. Shoplifting and looting during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots helped spur on a new era of increased shoplifting.

Several major stores, including CVS, Macy’s, Target, Walmart and others have cited shoplifting when they closed down urban locations.

The Center Square spoke with a 38-year-old woman who goes by “Jones” who works at a CVS within eyeshot of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C.

Jones told The Center Square that shoplifters take from her store daily.

When Jones does see customers steal something, she doesn’t stop them.

“We don’t get paid for that,” she said.

She said procedure is not to notify police but to write a description of the thief and what was stolen down on a form on a clipboard. Jones’ clipboard has seemingly a hundred pages stacked, at least one for each day, many of them filled with reported incidents.

By 11:15 am Thursday morning when Jones spoke with The Center Square, the store had already been stolen from four times that day, at least as far as she knew.

Jones said she worked at a previous location in the same city that was even worse, where groups would come in and steal merchandise.

She said thieves are only caught if they steal from the same store every day, as some apparently do, and they are caught with the merchandise by police. However, if the merchandise is not a large quantity, police will often let them off with a warning.

A security guard comes into the store in the afternoon, Jones said the guard is there to protect employees, not merchandise, and does little to stop shoplifting.

“They are here to protect us,” she said.

California has been the center of the shoplifting spree.

Shoplifting further drives up prices for Americans as stores have to make up for the lost inventory by increasing prices. But prices have already soared over 20% since President Joe Biden took office.

Ironically, many shoplifters point to higher prices as their justification for stealing.

A new survey from LendingTree found that 23% of Americans admit to shoplifting, which doesn’t include those unwilling to confess to their crimes.

“Of those with a shoplifting history, 23% have done so within the past year, and 52% were older than 16 at the time,” LendingTree said. “Shoplifters are most likely to hide the items on their bodies (55%) or in purses or bags (36%), while 25% are bold enough to walk out with their loot in plain sight.”

Notably, shoplifters blame the recent spike in prices for their theft.

“An overwhelming 90% of recent shoplifters say they steal secretly due to inflation and the current economy,” Lending Tree said. “Over a third (34%) of shoplifters rely on five-finger discounts because prices have become otherwise unaffordable, while 30% say it helps make ends meet and 27% say it helps save a few bucks.”

Kamala Harris has Been Identified as Indian, Black and Asian American by Newspapers

(Tom Gantert, The Center Square) – Newspapers across the country have historically made issue of the race of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris since her first days in public office.

Newspaper stories now more than 20 years old have referenced Harris as an Indian-American and as a Black woman. More recently, they have described the vice president also as “Asian American.”

As was previously reported, race has become an issue because former President Donald Trump said he didn’t know Harris was Black “until a number of years ago.”

Trump was asked by ABC News’ Rachel Scott if he thought Harris was “only on the ticket” because she was a Black woman.

“She was always of Indian heritage and she was only promoting Indian heritage,” Trump told Scott. “I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black. And now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don’t know. Is she Indian or is she Black? You know what, I respect either one. But she obviously doesn’t. Because she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and … she became a Black person.”

On Thursday, Trump posted on his social media platform a photo of Harris with her family.

“Thank you Kamala for the nice picture you sent from many years ago! Your warmth, friendship, and love of your Indian heritage are very much appreciated,” Trump wrote with the post.

As it turns out, President Trump‘s observations are supported by the media‘s past coverage of Harris.

Newspapers have made issue of Harris’ race for 20 years, first mentioning her in 2004 as “California’s first elected prosecutor of either black or East Indian descent.”

The Ventura County Star in California also noted Harris’ race in a 2008 story.

“Her biracial background makes her the state’s first black – and nation’s first Indian American – district attorney,” the newspaper reported.

In 2010, the Associated Press wrote an article on the number of political candidates who were Indian.

“Meet Reshma, Surya, Manan, Raj, Ami, Ravi, Nimrata and Kamala – a new wave of Indian-American politicians,” the AP reported.

In 2011, the San Francisco Examiner highlighted Harris’ race.

“Three days after she was sworn in as the first Indian-American elected to statewide office, Attorney General Kamala Harris backed a state agency that denied a Sikh man a job because of his beard,” the San Francisco Examiner reported.

In 2012, The Record of Bergen, New Jersey, described Harris as “California’s first Indian attorney general.”

“Journalist Arthur Pais covered the Ravi trial extensively for India Abroad, a publication that focuses on India in the region, often featuring the stories of barrier-breakers like Kamala Harris, California’s first Indian attorney general,” the newspaper reported.

In 2020, the Associated Press went to the village of Thulasendrapuram in India to report on the presidential election victory. The AP stated it was the hometown of Harris’ Indian grandfather.

“Harris’ late mother also was born in India, before moving to the U.S. at the age of 19 to study at the University of California. She married a Jamaican man, and they named their daughter Kamala, Sanskrit for ‘lotus flower,” the AP reported.

In 2020, the Tampa Bay Times and the Detroit Free Press referred to Harris also as an “Asian American.”

“Harris is the first Black woman and the first Asian American woman to join a major-party presidential ticket in the United States,” the Tampa Bay Times reported on Aug. 13, 2020.

Harris gave her views on her racial identity in a 2015 article in the Los Angeles Times.

That article stated that her parents, Shyamala Gopalan and Donald J. Harris, met when they were college students in Berkeley, California. They divorced when Harris was 5.

“My Indian mother knew she was raising two black daughters,” Harris said in 2015. “But that’s not to the exclusion of who I am in terms of my Indian heritage.

The LA Times reported, “Steeped in Indian culture, Harris and her sister, Maya, now a civil rights lawyer and senior policy advisor to Hillary Rodham Clinton visited family in Madras on occasion.”

“I grew up going to a black Baptist Church and a Hindu temple,” Harris said in that article. “The neighbors’ kids were not allowed to play with us because we were black.”

Tim Scott Shares Wedding Update and ‘Wrong Time’ Challenges

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., announced on Twitter that he married his fiancée, Mindy Noce, at Seacoast Church on Saturday.

Scott and Noce got engaged in January 2024, when he was considered a potential running mate for President Donald Trump’s 2024 ticket.

“Tonight, we promised to cherish and nourish each other and our marriage for the rest of our lives,” Scott wrote. “Mindy, you’ve made me the happiest man alive. I love you.”

The 58-year-old senator shared photos of his wedding, including a picture of him with his new wife and another of the couple at the altar as they took their vows.

Scott, who had never been married before and has no children, blamed this on his political aspirations.

“Like everybody else, I think we pretty selfishly want what we want,” he said during an interview with The Post and Courier.

“I think marriage helps you understand that maybe it’s not the only mission on the planet to get what you want, but it is to help others enjoy the journey of life, as well to be an ambassador of hope,” he added.

Scott said the timing of the wedding was perfect. “Part of the blessing for me was not getting married before now,” he said. “Right girl, wrong time is a mess. Wrong girl, right time is chaos.”

Several Republican figures attended the wedding, including former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Sens. John Thune, R-S.D.; John Barrasso, R-Wy.; and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

According to The Post and Courier, Noce is an interior designer. She previously accompanied Scott in cable news interviews while the senator publicly auditioned for the vice presidency.

Trump ultimately chose Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, as his running mate. Vance, a staunch America First conservative who assumed public office in January 2023.

UPDATE: Kamala’s Husband Confesses to Impregnating Daughter’s Nanny

Note: Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff admitted to having an affair in remarks to CNN. “During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side,” the embattled second gentleman claimed.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Democratic Party, the self-described party of decency, faces a salacious scandal involving Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

According to the Daily Mail, Emhoff’s first marriage with Kerstin Emhoff ended abruptly after he was caught having an affair with his daughter’s nanny, Najen Naylor, who he also allegedly impregnated.

Naylor worked at the private school where Ella Emhoff, Doug’s youngest daughter, attended. Ella was 10 years old at the time.

Kerstin did not immediately respond to Headline USA’s request for comments via email. When the Mail reached her by phone, she abruptly hung up. Similarly, Naylor did not respond to Headline USA’s request for a phone or in-person interview.

When approached by the Mail, Naylor did not deny the affair, telling reporters that she was “kind of freaked out right now.”

Sources cited by the Mail claim Emhoff reached a financial settlement with Naylor following the affair, which forced her out of The Willows, the California-based private school where Ella attended. At the time, Naylor was Ella’s teacher and babysitter during non-school hours.

A woman who had sent her children to the school in 2009 admitted knowing about the affair, rebuking Emhoff but praising Naylor’s work. “She was a lovely person, a great teacher to my kids,” the unnamed mother told the Mail.

As reported by the Mail, another friend of Naylor confirmed the affair but said that the former nanny decided against keeping the baby.

The scandal surfaces as the Emhoff family takes center stage in the 2024 presidential campaign, with Kerstin hailing Harris over her relationship with the Emhoff children.

Harris is currently seeking the Democratic nomination for president and is likely to face President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Kamala Bails on Trump Debate, Sparking ‘Chicken-Mala’ Nickname

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris has declined President Donald Trump’s invitation to a Fox News debate scheduled for next month, drawing criticism on Twitter where she was dubbed “Chicken-mala Harris.” The term quickly gained popularity, reaching the 16th position in the trending tab.

On Saturday, Trump confirmed via Truth Social that he would participate in a debate with Fox News on Sept. 4. Initially, he was slated to debate then-candidate President Joe Biden on Sept. 10 on ABC News.

Trump declared that the debate with Biden was canceled because the president is no longer the Democratic nominee. Trump also cited a conflict of interest due to his lawsuit against ABC News and its host, George Stephanopoulos, whom he called “George Slopadopoulos.”

Harris declined the Sept. 4 debate without providing any legitimate explanation. Instead, her campaign accused Trump of “running scared and trying to back out of the debate he had already agreed to.

“He needs to stop playing games and show up to the debate he already committed to on Sept. 10. The Vice President will be there one way or the other to take the opportunity to speak to a prime time national audience,” the Harris campaign tweeted.

Trump argued that the Fox News debate would take place in Pennsylvania and be moderated by prominent Fox anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

“The rules will be similar to the rules of my debate with sleepy Joe, who has been treated horribly by his party – but with a full arena audience,” Trump wrote.

The debate controversy began after the Democratic Party pressured Biden to exit the 2024 race. Upon his exit, the party conveniently anointed Harris as the presumptive nominee.
