Report: Pa. Gov. Shapiro Lost Interest in Veep Job after Dud Interview w/ Kamala

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Even though Kamala Harris didn’t choose him as a potential vice president, it seems that Gov. Josh Shapiro, D–Pa., wasn’t concerned about that because he lost interest in the vice presidential slot shortly after meeting Harris.

Trending Politics reported that insiders close to Shapiro suggested that the interview did not meet the politician’s expectations, leaving a sour taste among his advisers.

“Why not Shapiro? By contrast, Pennsylvania Gov. [Josh Shapiro’s] team felt that his own interview with Harris did not go as well as it could have. There was ‘not a great feeling’ coming out of it, according to a person in touch with Shapiro’s advisers,” Politico reported.

The news source also stated that Shapiro made an excuse to ensure he wouldn’t become her pick.

“A person familiar with the selection process told our colleagues that, after their meeting on Sunday, Shapiro called Harris’ team and made clear that he was ‘struggling with the decision to leave his current job as governor, in order to seek the vice presidency,'” Politico added.

Another reason why Harris picked Gov. Tim Walz, D, Minn., over Shapiro was that he is a Jew who previously supported Israel. On the other hand, Walz is a typical far-left politician who will go as far as needed to stay in power.

Political consultant Hank Sheinkopf agreed that the reason why Harris didn’t pick Shapiro was because he is a Jew who used to be pro-Israel. Sheinkopf added that Walz was picked precisely because he is a safer bet when it comes to appealing to far-left and Jew-hating voters.

“The ticket would have been too pro-Israel. Harris doesn’t need a battle over Israel-Gaza. She has to keep the progressives in the fold,” he said.

Harris officially announced the selection with a video clip, and many people mocked her for staging a simple phone call.

“My work here in Pennsylvania is far from finished — there is a lot more stuff I want to get done for our Commonwealth. Over the next 90 days, I look forward to traveling all across the Commonwealth to unite Pennsylvanians behind my friends Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and defeat Donald Trump. See you tonight in Philly,” Shapiro said.

Barron Trump Delivers on Big Social-Media Event, Earns Thanks from Dad

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Aug. 6, 2024, Donald Trump thanked his youngest son, Barron Trump, for playing a crucial role in orchestrating a record-breaking social media event with an internet personality popular among Gen Z males, the voting block that becomes more conservative every day and could influence the outcome of the 2024 election.

Adin Ross hosted the spectacle, interviewing Trump and presenting him with different gifts, such as a golden Rolex watch and a customized Tesla Cybertruck.

The live interview streamed on Aug. 5, 2024, and quickly became the center of online attention. In his Truth Social post, Trump revealed that the platform had already set “an all-time record,” amassing over 100 million views.

“Wow!!! Adin Ross’s Interview yesterday EXPLODED, but in a very positive way! Platform set an all-time record, by far, with over 100 MILLION Views/Hits. Congratulations to Adin and his wonderful mother, father, and family, who I had the pleasure to meet. Thank you also to Barron Trump for the introduction to your friend, Adin. Young people are the future of America. THOSE NUMBERS ARE REALLY BIG ‘STUFF!’” he wrote.

Trending Politics reported that Barron significantly contributed to his father’s campaign by organizing the meeting and interview.

Ross gave Trump a custom-designed Cybertruck, which bore the iconic image of Trump with his fist raised right after his assassination attempt at the Mar-a-Lago event.

Trump told Ross that Barron “says hello” and that “he’s a big fan of yours.” It was also reported that Barron told his father that Ross is “really big.”

“My kids say, ‘Dad, you have no idea how big this interview is.’ I said, ‘Don’t tell me that,’” Trump said during the interview.

Ross also told his 1.36 million followers on Kick during the interview to support Trump, showcasing Trump’s strategic push to win over young male voters, who started trending conservative over the last years.

Tim Walz Faces False Claims of Horse-Related Depravity

Editor’s Note: This article covers viral yet demonstrably false claims about Tim Walz that some readers may find disturbing.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) It’s a lot to take in. Will Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz swallow his pride or spit out a response to the accusations that he once drank horse semen?

This may be the question on Americans’ minds as some Twitter users continue to joke about the rumor—paralleling the demonstrably fake claims that Sen. JD Vance, Donald Trump’s running mate, once had sex with a “couch.”

It isn’t immediately clear who originated the claims about Walz, the Daily Dot reported on Wednesday.

The meme appeared online shortly after Walz jested about debating Vance “if he’s willing to get off the couch,” seemingly referencing the Vance couch sex claims.

“See what I did there?” Walz joked during a Philadelphia rally on Tuesday as Harris stood back and laughed.

Walz perhaps was not aware that he would be flooded with similar allegations, this time involving a horse.

On Twitter, the horse jokes quickly gained traction, with some individuals sharing a fabricated fact-check by the Associated Press on the claims.

“THE CLAIM: Walz once had his stomach pumped because he drank a gallon of human semen,” the false fact-check read. “THE FACTS: It was horse semen.”

One tweet of the fact-check garnered over 4.3 million views. Many users shared it to mock the AP for its since-deleted fact-check that had amplified the Vance-couch claim by drawing more attention to it on social media

“No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch,” a brazenly AP headline read. The backlash was so forceful that the outlet took the fact-check down, conveniently claiming it had not gone through the proper editing channels.

Despite the now-deleted fact-check, the Harris campaign, Democrat lawmakers, leftist pundits and late-night hosts seized on the joke to attack Vance, even when it meant admittedly spreading what they would describe as misinformation.

This is the state of the 2024 presidential election.

Trump’s New Nickname for Kamala Bewilders Leftists, Elicits Cries of ‘Racism’

(Elias Irizarry, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump has been known for his career-ending nicknames.

From “Crooked Hillary” to “Sleepy Joe,” Trump’s jeers have had a profound impact on defining his opponent’s public image.

However, Trump’s rollout this week of “Kamabla,” his new nickname for Vice President Kamala Harris, has put left-wing media and internet personalities in a tizzy while attempting to decipher the meaning.

The Huffington Post called it “pathetic,” the New Republic referred to it as “desperate,” and MSNBC declared the monicker a “mystery.”

The nickname was debuted in a statement by the Republican presidential candidate on the social media platform Truth Social, where he suggested that President Joe Biden might attempt to take back the nomination after having it stolen in a “bait-and-switch” by Harris and other Democrat elites.

“What are the chances that Crooked Joe Biden, the WORST President in the history of the U.S., whose Presidency was Unconstitutionally STOLEN from him by Kamabla, Barrack HUSSEIN Obama, Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Shifty Adam Schiff, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and others on the Lunatic Left, CRASHES the Democrat National Convention and tries to take back the Nomination, beginning with challenging me to another DEBATE,” Trump speculated.

The immediate reaction of Leftists was to automatically label the nickname as having racist undertones—even if they didn’t quite know what those undertones were.

S.V. Date, the Huffington Post’s senior White House correspondent, took it upon himself to crack the case—leading him to contact Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.

“Why is he misspelling her name Kamabla?” asked Date.

“Kamabla,” responded Cheung, continuing the phrase to every question from Date.

After consistent failure, Date, scratching his head, concluded that the only possible explanation was racism, but frustratingly, he still lacked the necessary evidence to support his assumption.

“I mean, I’m assuming it’s meant to be a racist insult— but *how* is it meant to be racist, that’s the question!” wrote Date on the social media platform X.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins attempted to get an answer from Gov. Doug Burgum, R-N.D., to which Burgum responded “I can’t comment on that.”

Many of Trump’s supporters saw the new nickname as a stroke of genius, referring to Trump as the “#trollmaster” for spinning the media into a frenzy of confusion over the nickname.

Finally, Cheung chimed in, using one of Harris’s favorite graphic organizers—a Venn diagram—to help left-wing detectives solve the mystery behind the brand-new nickname.

EXCLUSIVE: Eastern Oregon’s Battle to Join Idaho Continues, Leftist Establishment Ignores Them

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Conservatives in eastern Oregon are still fighting to separate themselves from the far-left state and become a part of Idaho.

Meanwhile, the leftist establishment ignores them, refusing to tighten their grip on the throats of those who refuse to bend their knee.

Headline USA previously reported on the 13 counties in eastern Oregon deciding to secede from the leftist state.

Matt McCaw, executive director of Greater Idaho Movement, discussed the recent developments of conservatives attempting to leave the state with Headline USA.

At first, he pointed out that Gov. Tina Kotek, D-Ore., refused even to acknowledge the existence of a vast conservative movement.

“We have formally invited the Governor of Oregon to sit down with us but have so far been ignored,” he said.

McCaw then shared some updates on what is going on in Crook County.

“Today [Aug. 7, 2024], the commissioners in Crook became the 8th county to formally request action from the Governor and Legislature,” he said, adding that none of the counties have received any response from the government officials.

According to McCaw, the officials don’t respond because they know they are the majority with the power.

“It is clear that the Democratic majority in Salem has little interest in listening to voters and working towards what they’ve said they want. The situation out here is becoming very clear, and that’s of a majority holding a political minority captive against their will. The people of eastern Oregon have done what they can, which is vote for exploring moving the border. Elected leaders, though, are ignoring them,” he said.

As of Aug. 7, 2024, four counties in the proposed border change still haven’t voted.

“Two of those counties – Deschutes and Wasco, are not likely to vote, as they are set to be split, so holding a countywide vote would not clarify much. The other two counties — Gilliam and Umatilla — would love to have a vote on the issue in the coming year. Even without their votes, however, it is clear from our 13 wins in eastern Oregon what the people want,” McCaw said.

Squad Rep. Bush ‘Radicalized’ Without Restraints After Losing Congressional Primary

0

(Joe Mueller, The Center Square) U.S. Rep. Cori Bush warned her political enemies she has no restraints in her concession speech on Tuesday after losing to St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell in the Democratic Primary in the 1st District.

“Pulling me away from my position as Congresswoman… all you did was take some of the strings off,” Bush said during a concession speech to supporters in a video posted by several media outlets.

She took a handheld microphone, went from side to side on a stage, and led a chant, “Let’s be clear… Let’s be clear… Let’s be clear… All they did was radicalize me. And so now they need to be afraid.”

Bush said her opponents were so “weak” they “had to spend $19 million” on the campaign. She specifically warned the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) of her upcoming actions.

“Let me say this, AIPAC, I’m coming to tear your kingdom down,” Bush said, followed by long and loud cheering from her supporters. “…What you didn’t want to do is to allow me to get radicalized even more. Because this is the thing: I’m not scared. I don’t fear you.”

AIPAC released a statement congratulating Bell on Tuesday, calling Bush an “anti-Israel detractor.”

“Once again, a progressive pro-Israel Democrat has prevailed over a candidate who represents the extremist fringe that is hostile to the Jewish state,” according to the statement.

Bush called Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “war criminal” after he spoke to a joint session of Congress in July.

“It is sickening that Congress gave him a standing ovation,” Bush posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “History will remember those who stood for genocide and those who opposed it.”

During Tuesday’s speech, Bush told the crowd her campaign spent only $2 million in 2020 to unseat Lacy Clay, who along with his father held the seat for 52 years. This Congressional race will probably be one of the most expensive in U.S. history.

“Lying and deceit cost a lot of money,” Bush said. “It cost a lot of money to lie.”

Bush said she witnessed a different view of a political campaign and it changed her view of public service.

“See, now they’re about to see this other Cori, this other side,” Bush said. “Let me say this, I just grew up a whole lot more the last couple of weeks.”

Bush emphasized her commitment to the people in her district, especially those of Arab and Palestinian heritage.

“To the people of St. Louis, of the 1st District, what did I say when the insurrectionists came?” Bush asked. “When the insurrectionists came, we’re bangin’ to the end. And so this here was its own type of insurrection on the people. But that’s OK. Because this time, I’m taking whoever is ready and we’re going to be bangin’ to the end.”

Bush challenged Bell to become a unifier, especially during events to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Ferguson riot this weekend.

Vance Encounter: Trump’s VP Pick Dings Kamala over Media Silence at Wisc. Tarmac Run-In

(Headline USA) Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, may have hoped to give Vice President Kamala Harris one of her first official interviews since becoming Democrats’ presidential nominee after the two rival campaigns had a chance encouter Wednesday on a Wisconsin tarmac.

Other than scoping out Air Force Two—the plane he hopes soon to make his—Vance’s only question was why Harris has been hiding from the media.

“I thought the reporters traveling with Kamala might be a little lonely given that she never answers questions from them, so I figured I’d come say hello and check out my new plane while I was at it,” Vance later wrote on X.

But alas, the elusive Biden border czar managed to give him the slip, snapping photos with a group of Girl Scouts at Chippewa Valley Regional Airport before speeding away in her motorcade.

In their first official day on the campaign trail together, Harris and her new running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, planned to speak after a concert by indie-rockers Bon Iver, with the Grammy-winning band drawing a huge crowd for its much anticipated homestand.

During his stop in Eau Clare on Wednesday, Vance recounted his near meeting and ridiculed Democrats’ lack of self-awareness in their campaign to smear him as “weird.”

“If those people want to call me weird I call it a badge of honor,” Vance said.

Walz, who is credited with first coining the smear attack, also pushed a ridiculous falsehood in his Tuesday night acceptance speech, claiming that Vance’s award-winning memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, includes a passage in which he performs a sex act on a couch.

The bizarre claim, however, was invented purely from the depraved minds of Democrats themselves, as no such passage exists in the book.

At an earlier stop in Michigan, Vance slammed Harris the current administration’s open-border policy, noting that it had lead to a rise in violent crime.

“We’ve got to throw Kamala Harris out of office, not give her a promotion,” Vance said, arguing that the former prosecutor was not on the side of police.

Harris has donated to nonprofits that openly support the “Defund the Police” movement, as well as advocating for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a collection to bail out rioters and other violent criminals during the 2020 Black Lives Matter race riots.

Republicans largely celebrated Harris’s choice of Walz, whose socialist views, like her own, make the Democratic ticket perhaps the most extreme in U.S. history.

But with Harris appearing to overtake GOP nominee Donald Trump in recent polls, they also sought to make voters aware of the serious stakes in selecting a president who could make the disasterous Biden administration pale in comparison.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., noted during a conference call that Walz was “part of the radical, crazy left as is Vice President Harris.”

The Harris campaign said Wednesday that it had raised $36 million in the first 24 hours after the vice presidential announcement.

The momentum could be pivotal in Detroit, which is nearly 80% black. leaders for months had warned administration officials that voter apathy could cost them in a city that’s typically a stronghold for their party.

The Rev. Wendell Anthony, president of the NAACP Detroit branch, said the excitement in the city now is “mind-blowing.” He likened it to Barack Obama’s first run for president in 2008, when voters waited in long lines to help elect the nation’s first Black president.

Walz’s addition to the ticket has likewise soothed some tensions within the Muslim community, signaling to some community leaders that Harris was willing to pander to their anti-Semitic views by snubbing Jewish Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who was assumed to be the frontrunner in the veepstakes.

“The party is recognizing that there’s a coalition they have to rebuild,” said Abdullah Hammoud, the mayor of Dearborn, Michigan. “Picking Walz is another sign of good faith.”

He downplayed the Jew hatred that has been on the rise since Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre last year that left some 1,200 innocent Israelis dead following a horrific ambush attack.

“It’s certainly not anti-Semitic to critique somebody’s position on Israeli policy,” Hammoud claimed. “That’s just called stewardship and accountability.”

Pushback from Arab Americans and union leaders was “not the only reason why [Harris] did not pick Shapiro, but it is one of the major reasons,” said Osama Siblani, the publisher of the Dearborn-based Arab American News and a prominent leader in Michigan’s large Muslim community.

“Not picking Shapiro is a very good step,” Siblani added. “It cracks the door open a little more for us.”

Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss, who is Jewish, was excited by the prospect of having Shapiro as a vice presidential candidate but was “disturbed” by the criticism he received, believing that many of the vetted candidates had similar views on Israel.

He insisted, however, that the criticism played no role in Harris’s decision and that “she’s choosing somebody based on this long game of who she can work with for four to eight years.”

Report: New York City Failed to Control Overspending on Migrants

(Christian Wade, The Center Square) The Adams administration failed to provide oversight of a $432 million contract to provide services to newly arriving migrants, wasting millions of taxpayer dollars, according to a new audit.

The report by City Comptroller Brad Lander, who is challenging Eric Adams in next year’s Democratic mayoral primary, blasts the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development for a lack of oversight on the no-bid contract with DocGo, a private medical services provider, to provide emergency housing and other services for migrants, which expired in May.

“My office repeatedly sounded the alarm on the Adams Administration’s rush to contract with DocGo, and our audit confirmed that the City’s haphazard management ended up wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on DocGo,” Lander said in a statement. “Each misstep reveals that the Administration failed to adequately vet the company or oversee their work.”

The audit follows a previous report by Lander’s office revealing deficiencies in the Adams administration’s emergency contracting practices, which totaled $54 million as of the end of November. Lander’s report said a lack of transparency in the emergency contracting process increases the risk of overpayment and corruption.

In December, Lander revoked Adam’s emergency powers to sign deals with private contractors providing housing, food, laundry and other services for asylum seekers without prior approval.

New York Attorney General Letitia James launched an investigation into allegations that DocGo has been deceiving and threatening migrants while failing to vet security officers properly. That probe is ongoing.

Camille Joseph Varlack, Adams’ chief of staff, defended the administration’s actions during the chaotic time period covered by the audit, pointing out that the city was faced with an influx of asylum seekers arriving on buses from Texas and other border states. She said the administration “kept families and children off the street” by negotiating a flat rate of $170 a night for migrant housing amid price gouging by hotel owners.

“We needed to make sure that people had a safe place to stay. I think that we have demonstrated that we have been able to do that,” she told reporters at a Tuesday briefing. “We needed to make sure that we had hotel capacity to absorb the folks that were coming in. And we needed to make sure that we locked in a price for the city.”

Varlack said the Adams administration has already implemented “many of the changes” that the comptroller called for a previous audit, which suggested DocGo was “ill-prepared” to handle the volume of asylum-seekers requiring housing and other assistance.

To be sure, Lander has been a fierce critic of Adams’ handling of the migrant crisis as he gears up to challenge the fellow Democrat in next year’s mayoral elections.

“It is very comfortable to sit in the bleachers and, you know, just be a detached spectator,” Adams, a Democrat, said during Tuesday’s briefing. “But when you are running a city as complex as this, you have to be prepared.”

New York City has had an influx of more than 210,000 asylum seekers over the past year and a historic surge of immigration along the U.S.-Mexico border, a crisis that Adams said is “not going away.”

The city is providing housing, food and other necessities for more than 60,000 migrants in more than 200 temporary “humanitarian” shelters. Adams estimates the city will need to spend $12 billion on migrants through 2025.

After Beating the FBI, Men Targeted in Whitmer Plot Enter Mainstream Politics

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In the summer of 2020, Eric Molitor, William Null and Thomas Leager were disgruntled over government lockdowns and other tyrannical policies—and unbeknownst to them, they were being targeted by FBI informants and undercover agents as part of the militia plot to kidnap Michigan’s governor.

Four years later, those men have moved from the militia scene to become active in mainstream politics. Molitor ran for to be Wexford County Sheriff, while Bill Null tried for township trustee in Orangeville. Both men were found not guilty of participating in the Gretchen Whitmer plot last September.

Molitor and Null both lost their bids on Tuesday. Molitor reportedly earned about 17% of the vote for Sheriff, and Null took about 14% of the votes for trustee.

However, a third man linked to the 2020 Whitmer plot is still gearing up for November. Thomas Leager, who was an unindicted co-conspirator—he didn’t know that until audio from an FBI u informant was made public earlier this year, showing that Leager was a target in the bureau’s investigation—is running for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin for the America First Party.

Leager told Headline USA he decided to run after being asked to by a group called Patriots Run for America

“I wasn’t planning on running; it was the farthest thing from my mind,” said Leager, who has a background as a Second Amendment activist.

Leager is challenging Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin, as well as Republican challenger Eric Hovde—whom Leager refers to as a RINO.

The campaign between Leager and Hovde has become particularly heated, with Hovde bizarelly accusing the former Whitmer target of being a Democratic plant to siphon votes from him.

But Leager said he’s simply running a campaign that truly puts America first. His platform includes abolishing the FBI, the federal incomes tax and all foreign aid.

“We have a pretty simple statement of principle: America First. So I’m Wisconsin’s true America first candidate,” he said.

Kamala Gives to Leftist Org. that Backs ‘Defund the Police,’ Reparations

(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris donated to an organization last year that supports defunding the police and making the nation’s capital—Washington, D.C.—a permanent “sanctuary city” for illegal immigrants.

Financial disclosures show Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, donated $1,000 to Legal Aid, a leftist nonprofit that works on housing law, in 2023. The couple also donated to the group in 2021, according to the Washington Examiner.

Legal Aid DC claims to be “the district’s oldest and largest civil legal services organization,” but has spent the past several years pushing far left policies.

In 2020, for example, after the Black Lives Matter riots, the group published a statement expressing support for the rioters “demonstrating and demanding a country and society that will treat every one of its residents with dignity and respect.”

A few days later, the group demanded that D.C. decrease its police presence, “especially given the ongoing protest movement.”

Legal Aid DC also backed a law passed in 2020 that made D.C. a “permanent” sanctuary city, thereby preventing local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities. The organization praised the law at the time, arguing it “could lift some of the terror our immigrant neighbors and their families have faced for many years.”

The group also backed a bill to “create a reparations task force and fund to address the impacts of slavery and institutional racism in Washington, D.C.”

Harris’s financial support for Legal Aid DC raises questions about her platform, especially as her campaign tries to distance itself from her past leftist policies.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign blasted Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who has his own history of radical leftism, calling them “every American’s nightmare.”

In his own statement, Trump added, “This is the most Radical Left duo in American history,” he posted on Truth Social. “There has never been anything like it, and there never will be again.”
