Biden Admits Massive Green Spending Bill Was Dishonestly Named

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden admitted this week that his signature legislation, the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act, was not about inflation at all, but about climate change.

Few were fooled by the name. It drew criticism as yet another Orwellian tactic deployed by the dystopian regime alongside controversial policies like the establishment of a Disinformation Governance Board—colloquially referred to as Biden’s “Ministry of Truth.”

Nonetheless, during a speech in Wisconsin on Thursday, Biden touted the billions of dollars his administration spent as part of the bill, most of which went toward “clean” energy programs and mandates.

“I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together by our ‘Investing in America’ agenda,” Biden said.

“I’m proud to announce that my, uh, my investments—that through my investments, the most significant climate change law ever,” he continued. “And by the way, it is a $369 billion bill. It’s called the—uh, we, we should have named it what it was.”

The projected cost of the Inflation Reduction Act is much higher than just $369 billion. Some estimates place the total cost at more than $1 trillion.

Economists warned at the time of the bill’s passing that it would do nothing to lower inflation rates, and that it would more than likely exacerbate them.

“I can’t think of any mechanism by which it would have brought down inflation to date,” said Harvard University economist Jason Furman at the time.

Despite this, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have continued to tout the bill as a success. Just last month, Harris praised the bill—which she cast the tie-breaking vote for in the Senate—as “historic” legislation.

But even Harris admitted what the bill really was.

“Our Inflation Reduction Act is the single largest climate investment in American history,” she said in a statement.

“While taking on the climate crisis and lowering utility bills for families, it is helping us to rebuild American manufacturing and drive American innovation—creating good-paying union jobs, furthering economic opportunity, and contributing to the nearly $900 billion of private-sector investment since President Biden and I took office,” she added.

RFK Jr. Wins Last-Minute Appeals to Remove Name from Ballot in 2 Major Swing States

(Headline USA) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. scored a pair of legal victories Friday in the battleground states of North Carolina and Michigan, and a setback in Wisconsin, in his quest to get his name off of the ballots in some states after he suspended his campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump.

North Carolina’s intermediate-level Court of Appeals issued an order granting Kennedy’s request to halt the mailing of ballots that included his name, upending plans in the state just as officials were about to begin sending out the nation’s first absentee ballots for the Nov. 5 presidential election.

The court—a three-judge panel ruling unanimously—also told a trial judge to order the State Board of Elections to distribute ballots without Kennedy’s name on them. No legal explanation was given.

In Michigan, its intermediate-level Court of Appeals ruled that Kennedy should be removed from the ballot, reversing a decision made earlier this week by a lower court judge.

And in Wisconsin, a Dane County circuit court judge denied Kennedy’s request for a temporary restraining order to put on hold the state elections commission’s decision to keep him on the ballot.

“A matter of such consequence deserves a full development of the record with appropriate briefing by all sides,” Judge Stephen Ehlke wrote. He set a scheduling conference for Wednesday, a week before the deadline for the printing of ballots.

In separate statements, a Kennedy attorney praised the North Carolina and Michigan rulings, saying they uphold state elections laws and support ballot integrity by ensuring no one must vote for a candidate no longer running in their state.

A favorable outcome for Kennedy could assist Trump’s efforts to win North Carolina, Michigan and Wisconsin—all of which are swing states that played an important role in his 2016 victory. Trump’s apparent loss of the latter two, on the other hand, helped Democrat Joe Biden secure the 270 electors needed to claim the White House in 2020.

North Carolina law required the first absentee ballots to be mailed or transmitted to those already asking for them no later than 60 days before the general election, making Friday the deadline. The process of reprinting and assembling ballot packages likely would take more than two weeks, state attorneys have said.

The State Board of Elections formally asked the state’s conservative-leaning Supreme Court late Friday to reverse the Court of Appeals decision. State lawyers asked the justices to act quickly before adjustments to the ballots ordered earlier Friday is complete—likely in a few days.

Kennedy, the nominee of the We The People party in North Carolina, had sued last week to get off the state’s ballots after he suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump. But the Democratic majority on the State Board of Elections rejected the request, saying it was too late in the process of printing ballots and coding tabulation machines. Kennedy then sued.

Wake County Superior Court Judge Rebecca Holt on Thursday denied Kennedy’s effort to keep his name off ballots, prompting his appeal. In the meantime, Holt had told election officials to hold back sending absentee ballots until noon Friday.

More than 132,500 people—military and overseas workers and in-state civilian residents—have requested North Carolina absentee ballots so far, the State Board of Elections said.

In an email, state board Executive Director Karen Brinson Bell told election directors in all 100 counties to preserve current ballots and coding in case rulings revert to keeping Kennedy on the ballot. More than 2.9 million absentee and in-person ballots with Kennedy’s name on them have been printed so far. Counties would have to pay for the cost of reprinting ballots.

With Friday’s deadline not met, North Carolina election officials still are faced with meeting a federal law requiring absentee ballots go to military and overseas voters by Sept. 21. They may try to seek a waiver if new ballots can’t be produced in time.

Friday’s ruling in North Carolina didn’t include the names of judges who considered Kennedy’s request—the court releases the names after 90 days. The court has 15 judges—11 registered Republicans and four Democrats. Names usually have been withheld from such orders to discourage “judge shopping,” or purposefully seeking out a judge who’s likely to rule in your favor, the court has said.

Kennedy sued Democratic Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson on Aug. 30 to get off the ballot. He filed suit in Wisconsin on Wednesday.

Friday’s ruling from Michigan said that while Kennedy’s request was made close to the deadline to give notice to local election officials, it wasn’t so unreasonable as to deny relief to him.

Aspokesperson said Benson’s office would appeal the decision to the state Supreme Court, further delaying the process, despite the far-left secretary’s insistence that it was already too late to be making changes.

US Intel Undercuts DOJ’s ‘Foreign Interference’ Claim Used to Smear Conservative Pundits

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) announced Friday that it has not “observed” any foreign interference in the 2024 election, seemingly undermining cynical remarks by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The ODNI’s Foreign Malign Influence Center (FMIC) stated in a 2-page report that the intelligence community “has not observed any foreign actor seeking to interfere in the conduct of the 2024 elections.” Natalie Winters, a co-host of the Steve Bannon WarRoom podcast, first reported these findings.

While the report stipulated that Russia “poses the most active foreign influence threat” to the election, it found no evidence of meddling. The FMIC’s assertions come just days after Garland issued dire warnings about so-called foreign influence targeting the election.

On Wednesday, Garland announced actions targeting what he described as Russian-ordered schemes aimed at swaying the upcoming election.

The leftist attorney general unveiled an indictment against two RT (Russia Today) employees accused of funneling $10 million to “fund and direct” an American company to promote pro-Russia content.

The company was revealed to be Tenet Media, owned by influencer Lauren Cheng and her husband, Liam Donovan.

The DOJ claimed the media company used the funds to hire high-profile conservative influencers, including Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, Dave Rubin and Lauren Southern.

Media outlets and left-wing figures have seized on these DOJ allegations to launch what appears to be a unified smear campaign against these conservative influencers, many known for their pro-Trump content

Notably, while the investigation remains open, the DOJ has not accused any of these figures of any wrongdoing.

Along with the indictment, the DOJ seized 32 internet domains allegedly used by Russia to impersonate American media outlets in a bid to influence voters in elections, including the 2024 presidential contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and President Donald Trump.

“Both of the schemes I have just discussed make clear the ends to which the Russian government — including at its highest levels — is willing to go to undermine our democratic process,” Garland claimed at a round-table on Wednesday.

Even Whitmer Doesn’t Believe Polls Showing Harris Up in Michigan

(Headline USA) Even Michigan’s far-left Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said she doesn’t believe recent polls showing Vice President Kamala Harris up in her state by five points, Fox News reported.

Speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival on Thursday, Whitmer downplayed Harris’s recent polling advantage over GOP nominee Donald Trump, adding she was worried Democrats and the Harris campaign were getting ahead of themselves.

“It makes me nervous to see any poll that says there’s a five-point lead for Kamala Harris in Michigan now. It’s just not true,” she said, referring to a recent CNN poll.

“It’s gonna be a very close race,” she added. “I believe we can win it. And I believe we will, but it’s gonna be very close.”

According to the RealClearPolitics average, which did not include the CNN result, Harrisled by 1.1 percentage points in the state as of Friday night. The Trafalgar Group, which was the only pollster to accurately predict Trump’s 2016 win in Michigan, had the two major-party candidates in a dead heat at 47% each.

“In Michigan right now, we have Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, and we have three other people on the ballot. CNN didn’t test for that,” Whitmer said. “And that’s why, as we see these polls, I’m telling everyone, don’t get comfortable on any. You can’t sleep on Michigan.”

Although eight candidates initially qualified for the ballot, Democrats have fought tooth and nail to disqualify left-leaning candidates while promoting those who might draw votes away from Trump.

Regardless, on Friday a court determined that the state could not force independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy to remain on the ballot after he withdrew and endorsed Trump last week. Similarly, an activist effort to keep far-left candidate Cornel West off the ballot proved unsuccessful.

Whitmer went on to express concern about the third-party candidates still on Michigan’s ballot, including Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

“In 2016, Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump by 11,000 votes. Jill Stein was also on our ballot and earned more than 11,000 votes,” Whitmer said.

Whitmer is not the only Democrat to express skepticism about Harris’s recent numbers. Just this week, CNN’s political director admitted recent polls actually show Harris trailing among key demographics, including black voters.

Compared to President Joe Biden, for example, who won 92% of black voters in Pennsylvania, Harris is currently pulling just 84% of black voters in Pennsylvania.

“There‘s still room here for Harris to grow and consolidate the black vote, which is going to be necessary if she is going to win in places like Georgia and Pennsylvania, which are clearly in play here and toss-up races,” CNN’s David Chalian said.

Here We Go Again: NYTimes, Carville Try to Justify Leftist Media’s Trump Derangement Syndrome

(Headline USA) Democrats are working overtime to justify their irrational opposition to former President Donald Trump, with a New York Times editorial board member even arguing it is right for the media to apply a “different standard” to Trump than to Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I think the challenge, not just for journalists, but really for the country, is that not only is Donald Trump a threat, but, you know, it lowers the bar. So I don’t think it’s unacceptable,” Mara Gay told MSNBC when asked why leftist outlets push Trump harder than Harris.

Since being anointed the de-facto nominee after party elites’ coup of President Joe Biden, Harris still has not held a full press conference and has sat for only one interview with CNN, which was pared down to 18 minutes and still widely panned.

Gay admitted that “there are plenty of things that we could hear from the vice president, that we’d love to hear more about policy speeches. It’d be great to see her take more questions from the press.”

However, those things aren’t that important when compared to the “extremism of the Republican Party” and “how extreme Donald Trump is,” she continued.

“It’s hard to hold both candidates accountable equally, because one is committed to democracy and is functioning as a normal candidate from a normal American party, and the other is not,” Gay said.

Democratic strategist James Carville made a similar argument this week, specifically calling out the New York Times.

“Now you have Joe Kahn—the new editor or publisher, whatever he is—at the New York Times, saying, ‘We’re just going to cover this down the middle. We’re going to cover what it is.’ I don’t think that’s the role of the news media at a time when the entire Constitution is in peril,” he claimed in a recent episode of his podcast, as reported by the Gateway Pundit.

There’s nothing wrong with “slanted coverage” when it comes to Trump, Carville ranted.

“I would have something against it at most other times in American history, but not right now. F**k your objectivity,” he continued. “The real objectivity in this country right now is we’re either going to have a Constitution, or we’re not.”

Democrats began making similar arguments eight years ago, when Trump was running against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 race.

Far-left New York Times columnist Paul Krugman attacked objective media for their “false equivalence” of Trump and Clinton.

“If Donald Trump becomes president, the news media will bear a large share of the blame,” he griped.

The unprecedented idea of holding Trump to a different standard of reporting was, soon thereafter, embraced by then-Times managing editor Dean Baquet, with much of the mainstream media following suit.

The loss of credibility that ensued due to reckless and biased reporting on matters like the Russia-collusion hoax and the Hunter Biden laptop led many leftist outlets to downsize or fold altogether. Others, including the Times, issued notable mea culpas in which they promised to do better moving forward.

Trump Campaign’s Key to Keeping N.C. Red May Be Radical Hamas Supporters

(Stephen Horn, Headline USA) Would a Harris–Walz victory in November be the “worst case scenario”? An “Abandon Harris” campaign is attempting to convince far-left voters to drop Vice President Kamala Harris in November over her support for Israel.

The organization, which began as “Abandon Biden” held a press conference Friday in front of the North Carolina Democratic Party headquarters announcing the “doubling down on [their] efforts” to ensure Harris’s defeat.

“Biden was an ideological bigot: He believed the lives of Palestinians were cheap,” said Pooyan Ordoubadi, a co-chair of Abandon Harris in NC. “Harris may be worse: She’s an opportunistic bigot, thinking that the dehumanization of Palestinians and support for their genocide will fill her electoral coffers.”

North Carolina, like many more liberal states, has experienced pro-Palestine protests, demonstrations, and riots in its cities and universities.

Ordoubadi, an immigration and criminal defense lawyer, is currently representing 37 of the defendants arrested at the University of North Carolina in relation to a “Triangle Gaza Solidarity Encampment” in April. (The protest garnered national attention after a group of UNC fraternity brothers rescued the American flag that demonstrators had removed and replaced with a Palestinian one.)

With President Joe Biden as the only candidate on the 2024 Democratic presidential primary ballot in North Carolina, campaigns like Abandon Biden encouraged supporters to select “No Preference.”

The North Carolina Board of Elections recorded 88,900 voters (12.73%) choosing this option, a larger percentage than any other state, according to Axios.

With a victory margin of only 74,483 by President Trump in the 2020 election, convincing those “No Preference” voters could be enough to be influence the assignment of the state’s 16 electors.

Several of the speakers addressed common two-party narrative around third-party votes: “We are told … if you don’t vote Democrat, the Republicans are going to be worse … I have to say that sounds a lot like the language of an abusive relationship,” said Dr. Rania Masri, who has previously described the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel as “a beautiful day”.

“It will be the worst case scenario if Kamala Harris wins,” Masri continued. “More wars will come, but they will come with liberal applause and joy and glee.”

“The idea of a Trump presidency does not scare us because … there is no greater evil in this world than genocide, and Kamala Harris has made it abundantly clear that her support for Israel will not waver,” said Victor Urquiza of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL).

Instead, Urquiza encouraged the “working class” to cast their vote for a socialist this November: either Jill Stein or Cornel West, who will appear on the North Carolina ballot for the Green Party and the Justice For All Party respectively, or Claudia De La Cruz who is running as a write-in candidate for the PSL.

DOJ Official Caught Admitting Trump Prosecutions Are ‘All Political’

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Louder with Crowder released undercover video footage of a Justice Department official admitting to the extensive lawfare against former President Donald Trump going back at least 18 months.

The group’s MugClub Undercover unit interviewed Nicholas Biase, a senior official at the DOJ’s Southern District of New York, and learned from him that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg engaged in a “perversion of justice” in order to hurt Trump’s national image.

According to Biase, Bragg’s methods were legally dubious and downright unethical.

“He was stacking charges and, like, rearranging things just to make it fit a case,” Baise noted, suggesting that Trump’s business practices are commonplace.

Reports previously indicated that even the prosecutors themselves cynically referred to their case as a “franken-trial” in Trump’s high-profile criminal case for allegedly covering up decades-old sexual relationships with a porn star and a Playboy bunny.

A jury of leftist Manhattanites went on to convict Trump on 34 counts of falsifying criminal records, despite the fact that the statute of limitations had expired under New York state law.

In a separate civil case waged by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Biase admitted the charges were equally absurd after Judge Arthur Engoron arbitrarily—and unilaterally—undervalued Trump properties in order to accuse the former developer of overvaluing them to secure loans that he had already repaid in full.

“No, honestly, I think the case is nonsense,” Biase said. “… Every real-estate person in New York does what he did. Nobody’s ever been charged with this.”

Biase added that the purpose of pursuing Trump with charges was to “make him a convict” because it will affect his candidacy.

Both Bragg and James campaigned on the promise of convicting the Republican leader, with support from dark-money billionaires like George Soros.

The SDNY spokesman further suggested that Bragg, whom Biase has known for 15 years, pursued the Trump case because he was “very ambitious” and had designs to make a name for himself in national politics.

The same has been said of James, who was rumored to have been considering a run for governor while simultaneously investigating then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a fellow Democrat.

Biase also made comments about Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who has pursued an election case against Trump in Georgia for allegedly participating in a racketeering conspiracy to reverse the outcome of the 2020 election.

Biase called the case a “travesty of justice” and a “mockery of justice.”

“She is a joke, he added. “The whole thing is disgusting.”

Labor Day Chicagoland Train Shooter ID’d as Transgender State-Licensed Security Guard

0

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) A shooting on a commuter train outside Chicago on Labor Day morning left four people dead.

Three people were pronounced dead at the Forest Park station, an above-ground stop on the Chicago Transit Authority’s Blue Line. The fourth victim died at a hospital. The suspect got away but was subsequently arrested on a train on a different route, Forest Park police said.

According to a report from Chicago’s local ABC affiliate, the shooter, 30-year-old Rhanni Davis, may be transgender.

“In 2013, court records show Davis filed a petition to change their birth name from James Wesley D McDavis, III, to Rhianni J. Davis,” ABC7 reported Wednesday, referring to Davis as “their.”

ABC7 also reported that Davis had a long criminal history dating back to at least 2014. Perhaps even more interesting is the revelation that the shooter was apparently licensed by the state of Illinois as a private security guard.

“Forest Park Police Detective Lt. Dan Pater told the I-Team “it appears” that the licensed individual is the same person who was arrested for Monday’s CTA shooting, but that investigators have yet to verify these details with the state,” ABC7 reported.

“In addition to the private security guard license, known in Illinois as a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), this individual also had a Firearm Control Card and Firearms Instructor Card,” the news outlet reported.

“State officials told the I-Team those cards authorize a licensed security guard to carry a firearm while working, and indicate the license holder has been trained by a firearms instructor.”

Being a state-licensed security guard typically requires a background check.

That was the case with Allen, Texas, mass shooter Mauricio Garcia. His former employer, Ruiz Protective Service—a company founded by former FBI agent Hector Ruiz—told Headline USA last year that the state never reported Garcia’s purported mental-health issues when conducting the background check.

ABC7 didn’t mention any background check, nor has any other media outlet, apparently.

Chicago’s local NBC affiliate did report the unsurprising news that Davis was struggling with mental health issues before Monday’s shooting.

“I don’t really know how to diagnose mental illness, but he was not acting himself,” Davis’s mother, Laquita Lewis, reportedly told NBC 5 Investigates during an interview Thursday.

Lewis reportedly said “Davis was homeless and had been struggling with mental health issues for years after a person he was in a relationship with was killed,” according to NBC, which identified Davis as a male.

David faces four counts of first-degree murder.

New James O’Keefe Video Shows Top PR Official for NFL Team Insulting Fans, Players

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) An undercover journalist with the O’Keefe Media Group caught Rael Enteen, vice president of content for the Washington Commanders, making shocking statements about NFL fans on camera.

“Most of the fans, I would say, are high-school educated alcoholics,” Enteen said. He said he would hate to use the term “low class,” instead opting to call them “mouth breathers.”

He also called them “violent.”

Enteen signed on with the Commanders four years ago. He operates as the public-relations wing of the team, creating any content “from memes on TikTok to an hourlong documentary show.”

Enteen admitted the manipulative nature of his job, saying that NFL officials created his position to “sell hope.”

His opinion of the NFL’s proliferation of so-called social justice and progressive politics was very low, especially when it came to the actual football players.

“Over 50% of our roster is either white religious—and God says f**k the gays in their interpretation,” he said. “Another big chunk is very low-income African–American that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic … It’s a cultural thing, I hope it gets better.”

When asked about his coworkers, he claimed he would consider most of them very intelligent, also with the exception of many of the football players.

“There are some that are, like, dumb as all hell, and there are others that are very smart,” Enteen explained.

“I think there’s also a sad-but-true reality that, like, some start smart and they get hit in the head so much that they don’t stay smart,” he added. “… They’re more susceptible to stupid conspiracy theories.”

He also explained the performative nature of the NFL’s purported politics.

“It’s not done out of the goodness of their heart and morality, it’s done because George Floyd changed the game,” he said.

“The social justice efforts are a performance for the sake of public perception, and not because they want to actually push progress,” he added “… I think the NFL cares about the bottom line.”

The Washington Commanders are familiar with intense levels of controversy. After having long resisted a name change from the more controversial Washington Redskins, the team finally caved to the pressure of woke advertisers in the aftermath of the George Floyd race riots.

NAACP Demands School Cancel Kamala ‘Roast’ Featuring Controversial Right-Wingers

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) The NAACP has issued a demand that the University of South Carolina cancel a planned roast of Vice President Kamala Harris featuring controversial right-wingers Milo Yiannopoulos and Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, The Hill reported.

Joining left wing student activists, NAACP President Derrick Johnson and NAACP South Carolina State Conference president Brenda Murphy penned a letter to Michael Amiridis, president of USC, complaining that the proposed roast would be far too controversial in nature for an educational institution.

According to Johnson, the event ought to be canceled because of its “blatant sexist and racist nature,” alluding ominously to “the potential for violence on campus” that could result if conservatives go on to hold the event.

He also argued that it “threatens the status and reputation of USC, while offering no articulable educational goal.”

Along with the NAACP, some students on campus were protesting the event. They organized a petition to try to put a stop to the roast, which allegedly “reeks of misogynoir” while offering a “pretext for discrimination,” thus cutting against the primary aim of educational institutions, that is, making students feel “safe and welcomed.”

Johnson also issued a separate statement, claiming that the event would consist of “hate speech” that would “undermine the progress of our nation.”

“If South Carolina University’s leadership values their Black students, it’s only right they shut this event down,” Johnson said, noting that the event might make some people uncomfortable, and suggesting that schools are “not platforms for hate.”

The letter to Amirdis libelously referred to the Proud Boys as a “terrorist group,” although there is no evidence to support the claim.

While the U.S. does not maintain a list of formally designated domestic terrorist organizations as it does foreign ones, many left-wing operatives have attempted to promote the narrative that the racially diverse collection of freedom fighters engages in so-called hate crimes.

Among them is the Southern Poverty Law Center—a left-wing terrorist organization with billions of dollars in offshore bank accounts, which the Biden–Harris organization has colluded with in the past to smear conservative civic groups like the parental-rights organization Moms for Liberty.

Yiannopoulos—a former Breitbart editor, conversion-therepy advocate and provocateur who most recently made headlines as a campaign adviser for Kanye West’s short-lived presidential bid—has stirred up protests and leftist violence in the past after scheduling events on college campuses.

Headline USA reached out to Yiannopoulos for comment and will update with any response.
