Disgraceful AP Forced to Apologize After Lying about J.D. Vance

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Associated Press recently apologized for writing that Sen. J.D. Vance, R–Ohio, declared school shootings are a “fact of life” without providing the full context.

Trending Politics reported that the propaganda outlet deleted its original post and clarified that Vance was not indifferent to the deadly Georgia shooting.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Phoenix, Donald Trump’s running mate talked about the latest shooting, which resulted in four dead and nine critically wounded people. A shooter, a 14-year-old student, and his father have been charged.

The AP story quoted the politician in full when he said that America must be “prepared” to address “psychos” who want to murder innocent people in schools.

“We don’t have to like the reality that we live in, but it is the reality we live in. We’ve got to deal with it,” he said.

After speaking, Vance told journalists what should be done to prevent similar tragedies from happening again.

“I don’t like that this is a fact of life. But if you are a psycho and you want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are soft targets. And we have got to bolster security at our schools. We’ve got to bolster security so if a psycho wants to walk through the front door and kill a bunch of children, they’re not able,” he added.

After AP released its original deceitful story, people on social media fact-checked the propaganda outlet by adding a community note referencing Vance’s quote in full rather than a partial one, suggesting he is indifferent to the crisis.

“This post replaces an earlier post that was deleted to add context to the partial quote from Vance,” the AP’s account stated.

In his statement, Trump paid tribute to the victims of the shooting and their families while calling the teenage shooter a “sick and deranged monster.” He also said that he supports red flag laws, which allow certain people to petition a court to have a dangerous person’s weapons confiscated if they are deemed to pose a threat.

The news source reported that Trump and Vance called for “hardening” schools through policies like weaponized guards and teachers.

RFK Jr. Tells Supporters to Vote for Trump After Winning Multiple Swing State Battles

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently told his supporters to vote for Donald Trump to save the United States.

“A lot of people are asking me if they live in a red state or a blue state, should they still vote for me? What about swing states? The answer is easy. No matter what state you live in, I urge you to vote for Donald Trump. The reason is that is the only way we can get me and everything I stand for into Washington DC and fulfill the mission that motivated my campaign,” a campaign email stated.

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer was the one who shared the message with people.

“RFK JR sent out this message to his supporters telling them to vote for President Trump regardless of which state they live in. President Trump said he plans on making Kennedy a part of his administration so they can MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN!” she wrote.

The news came after RFK Jr. won two major battles in North Carolina and Michigan, removing himself from the presidential ballot so that his supporters would support Trump.

RFK Jr. also previously said he plans on rallying with Trump in swing states.

“We’re planning a Make America Healthy Again tour where we’re going to visit almost all of those states. So, I will be doing rallies in each of those states over the next 61 days. We want to, if we’re going to accomplish the mission that I set out to accomplish when I got into this campaign – end the censorship, end surveillance, get out of Ukraine war and unravel the war machine and the chronic disease epidemic,” he said.

He added that the only way to achieve all those things would be to elect Trump.

“The only way to do that is to get President Trump in the White House and me into Washington. So we’re going to pull out all the stops to make sure that happens,” he said.

‘Sopranos’ Star Says Hollywood Is Full of Closeted Trump Supporters

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Drea de Matteo, who played Adriana La Cerva on The Sopranos, revealed that many people in Hollywood secretly support Donald Trump.

During her interview, she said she supports Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement of Trump.

“At the very moment, all I care about is fighting for this country and just trying to wake up a few more of my fellow liberals to get back to the center of things and recognize that the things they always fought for — all of that weaponization on the left — is camouflage,” de Matteo said.

She then said that social issues are unimportant because the country “is falling apart right now, and the rest of the world will follow it.”

Even though she said she supports “Kennedy all the way,” de Matteo admitted that she is happy there is some kind of “unity right now.”

“You have Ben Stiller talking about change. The change has been happening for four years,” de Matteo said, mocking the woke actor who said last week that he’s excited to support Harris’s campaign because “it’s time for change” from the Biden-Harris administration.

The actress also said that Hollywood is full of “quiet” Trump supporters, questioning if actors were just being paid to support Biden and Harris.

“I wonder how much these actors got paid to endorse Biden at this point. I’m curious. I wonder if [Robert] De Niro got paid a location fee because he had to travel to the courtroom to do that,” she said.

When Jesse Watters asked her is that a regular practice in Hollywood, de Matteo said that she doesn’t know because she’s always been an outsider.

“I don’t know. I don’t really maneuver inside that industry. I never have. First of all, Sopranos, we were the outcast, even though we were critically acclaimed, we still were outcasts. So, I’m still an outcast, here I am. They’re going to take me out into the woods and shoot me for not endorsing Biden,” she said.

DOJ’s Anti-Trump Lawfare Racks Up a Staggering $35M Bill for Taxpayers

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The Biden DOJ and Special Counsel Jack Smith have spent $35.7 million in taxpayer dollars prosecuting President Donald Trump, vastly outspending previous special counsels.

This figure covers the period from November 2022 to March 31, according to DOJ expenditure data reported by Forbes on Aug. 29.

Smith’s office spent $19.4 million, while the DOJ allocated an additional $16.3 million in resources. The $19.4 million includes $11.6 million for Smith’s salaries, benefits and security detail.

Smith’s expenditures surpassed the $11.3 million spent by Special Counsel Robert Hur on the criminal investigation into President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, covering Oct. 1 to March 2024.

In contrast, Special Counsel John Durham spent $9.8 million on his investigation into the FBI’s infamous probe of the Trump-Russian conspiracy theory. This expenditure covered the period from October 2020 to September 2023.

Special Counsel David Weiss has expended $3.7 million on the criminal investigation and prosecution of Hunter Biden, the president’s son. This amount covers the period from August 2023 to March 2024.

This hefty figure exposes the aggressive nature of Smith’s prosecution of Trump.

Smith was appointed special counsel on Nov. 18, 2022, to investigate Trump over a document dispute with the National Archives and Records Administration and his actions on Jan. 6, the day Congress certified the 2020 election for Biden.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the documents case, ruling that Smith’s appointment as special counsel violated the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

The January 6 case, overseen by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, is set to go to trial in the weeks following the election.

Cheney, Dershowitz Party Switches Signal Major Realignment

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Is a political realignment underway in 2024? Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz’s departure from the Democratic Party and former Vice President Dick Cheney’s support for Kamala Harris suggests so.

Dershowitz announced he was no longer a member of the Democratic Party, citing the radical left’s hatred toward Jewish individuals.

“I am no longer a Democrat. I am an independent. I will decide who to vote for at the last minute based on the totality of the circumstances,” Dershowitz said during an interview with Talkline host Zev Brenner.

In contrast, Cheney announced through his disgraced daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney, that he will vote for Harris in the 2024 election, cementing his label as a “RINO,” or as President Donald Trump put it, an “irrelevant RINO.”

In a separate statement issued to the press, Cheney claimed he was voting for Harris because Trump posed an alleged “threat” to the Republic.

Dershowitz explained in the interview, reportedly recorded on Aug. 23, that the anti-Israel sentiment at the Democratic National Convention finally prompted him to renounce the party.

“It was the most anti-Jewish, anti-Israel, anti-Zionist convention I have experienced, and I have been watching conventions since 1952,” he said earlier in the interview.

Dershowitz lamented that the DNC hosted what he called some of the most anti-Zionist and anti-Israel lawmakers, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

The legal scholar also condemned Rev. Al Sharpton’s DNC speech, calling him “one of the worst anti-Semites in modern American history.”

Sharpton appeared before the DNC along with the so-called Central Park Five, a group of men who had been wrongfully convicted for the New York City rape of a woman in 1989.

Dershowitz claimed the Democratic Party had legitimized the smear campaign against Israel by platforming to the lawmakers and Sharpton.

The Harvard professor emeritus then turned his criticism to Harris for not selecting Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as her running mate for the 2024 election. Critics argue Shapiro was passed over because he is Jewish.

“We know she got a lot of pressure from the hard left of the Democratic Party, and she knew that if she nominated Josh Shapiro—who would help her win the election by winning Pennsylvania—there would have been demonstrations not only outside but inside the Democratic Convention,” Dershowitz declared.

He also scolded President Joe Biden, whom he referred to as his friend, for claiming at the DNC that the violent protesters outside had “good” points. These protesters were burning American and Israeli flags in support of the Gaza Strip, governed by the designated terrorist group Hamas.

Merchan Pushes Trump Sentencing till After Election, Gets Sued over Financial Disclosures

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Sept. 6, 2024, Judge Juan Merchan postponed Donald Trump’s New York witch hunt sentencing until after the 2024 election.

Fox News reported that Trump’s sentencing date is now scheduled for Nov. 26, 2024. The original date was on Sept. 18, 2024.

“The public’s confidence in the integrity of our judicial system demands a sentencing hearing that is entirely focused on the verdict of the jury and the weighing of aggravating and mitigating factors free from distraction or distortion. Unfortunately, we are now at a place in time that is fraught with complexities, rendering the requirements of a sentencing hearing, should one be necessary, difficult to execute,” Merchan wrote in a letter.

Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, responded to the news after the news source contacted him for comments.

“There should be no sentencing in the Manhattan DA’s Election Interference Witch Hunt. As mandated by the United States Supreme Court, this case, along with all of the other Harris-Biden Hoaxes, should be dismissed,” he said.

Meanwhile, America First Legal sued the Ethics Commission for the New York State Unified Court System and Merchan for refusing to produce Merchan’s financial disclosures from 2018-2024 as required by law.

AFL stated that under the state’s law, judges are required to file annual financial disclosures that must be made available for inspection upon request. On June 6, 2024, the organization requested these disclosures and hasn’t heard from Merchan since.

On Aug. 30, 2024, AFL sent a demand letter to the Ethics Commission for the New York State Unified Court System, threatening legal action if the organization fails to hand over Merchan’s financial disclosures.

“The public needs to know what Judge Merchan is hiding or even if he failed to file financial disclosures at all. This is especially important given the fact that Merchan appears to have engaged in unlawful campaign contributions and is on the precipice of criminally sentencing the former President of the United States,” Dan Epstein, AF’s vice president, said.

Rare, Long Missing Copy of US Constitution to Be Auctioned for Millions

(Headline USA) Historical document appraiser and collector Seth Kaller spreads a broad sheet of paper across a desk.

It’s in good enough condition that he can handle it, carefully, with clean, bare hands. There are just a few creases and tiny discolorations, even though it’s just a few weeks shy of 237 years old and has spent who knows how long inside a filing cabinet in North Carolina.

At the top of the first page are familiar words but in regular type instead of the sweeping Gothic script we’re used to seeing: “WE, the People …”

And the people will get a chance to bid for this copy of the U.S. Constitution—the only of its type thought to be in private hands—at a sale by Brunk Auctions on Sept. 28 in Asheville, North Carolina.

The minimum bid for the auction is $1 million.

This copy was printed after the Constitutional Convention approved the proposed framework of the nation’s government in 1787 and it was ratified by the Congress of the ineffective first American government under the Articles of Confederation.

It’s one of about 100 copies printed by the secretary of that Congress, Charles Thomson. Just eight are known to still exist, and the other seven are publicly owned.

Thomson likely signed two copies for each of the original 13 states, essentially certifying them. They were sent to special ratifying conventions, where representatives wrangled for months before accepting the structure of the United States government that continues today.

“This is the point of connection between the government and the people,” auctioneer Andrew Brunk said. “The Preamble—‘we the people’—this is the moment the government is asking the people to empower them.”

What happened to the document up for auction between Thomson’s signature and 2022 isn’t known.

Two years ago, a property was being cleared out in Edenton in eastern North Carolina that was once owned by Samuel Johnston. He was the governor of North Carolina from 1787 to 1789, and he oversaw the state convention during his last year in office that ratified the Constitution.

The copy was found inside a squat, two-drawer metal filing cabinet with a can of stain on top, in a long-neglected room piled high with old chairs and a dusty book case, before the old Johnston house was preserved. The document was a broad sheet that could be folded one time like a book.

“I get calls every week from people who think they have a Declaration of Independence or a Gettysburg Address and most of the time it is just a replica, but every so often something important gets found,” said Kaller, who appraises, buys and sells historic documents.

“This is a whole other level of importance,” he added.

Along with the Constitution on the broad sheet printed front and back is a letter from George Washington asking for ratification. He acknowledged there will have to be compromise and that rights the states enjoyed will have to be given up for the nation’s long-term health.

“To secure all rights of independent sovereignty to each and yet provide for the interest and safety for all—individuals entering into society must give up a share of liberty to preserve the rest,” wrote the man who would become the first U.S. president.

Brunk isn’t sure what the document might go for because there is so little to compare it to.

The last time a copy of the Constitution like this sold was for $400 in 1891. In 2021, Sotheby’s of New York sold one of only 13 remaining copies of the Constitution printed for the Continental Congress and delegates to the Constitutional Convention for $43.2 million, a record for a book or document.

But that document was mostly for internal use and debate by the Founding Fathers. The copy being sold later this month was one meant to be sent to people all around the country to review and decide if that’s how they wanted to be governed, connecting the writers of the Constitution to the people in the states who would provide its power and legitimacy.

The auction listing doesn’t identify the seller, saying its part of a collection that is in private hands.

Other items up for auction in Asheville including a 1776 first draft of the Articles of Confederation and a 1788 Journal of the Convention of North Carolina at Hillsborough where representatives spent two weeks debating if ratifying the Constitution would put too much power with the nation instead of the states.

Judge Gives DOJ Until End of Year to Propose Penalties for Google

(Headline USA) A federal judge on Friday gave the U.S. Justice Department until the end of the year to outline how Google should be punished for illegally monopolizing the internet search market and then prepare to present its case for imposing the penalties next spring.

The loose-ended timeline sketched out by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta came during the first court hearing since he branded Google as a ruthless monopolist in a landmark ruling issued last month.

Mehta’s decision triggered the need for another phase of the legal process to determine how Google should be penalized for years of misconduct and forced to make other changes to prevent potential future abuses by the dominant search engine that’s the foundation of its internet empire.

Attorneys for the Justice Department and Google were unable to reach a consensus on how the time frame for the penalty phase should unfold in the weeks leading up to Friday’s hearing in Washington D.C., prompting Mehta to steer them down the road that he hopes will result in a decision on the punishment before Labor Day next year.

To make that happen, Mehta indicated he would like the trial in the penalty phase to happen next spring. The judge said March and April look like the best months on his court calendar.

If Mehta’s timeline pans out, a ruling on Google’s antitrust penalties would come nearly five years after the Justice Department filed the lawsuit that led to a 10-week antitrust trial last autumn. That’s similar to the timeline Microsoft experienced in the late 1990s when regulators targeted them for its misconduct in the personal computer market.

The Justice Department hasn’t yet given any inkling on how severely Google should be punished. The most likely targets are the long-running deals that Google has lined up with Apple, Samsung, and other tech companies to make its search engine the default option on smartphones and web browsers.

In return for the guaranteed search traffic, Google has been paying its partners more than $25 billion annually—with most of that money going to Apple for the prized position on the iPhone.

In a more drastic scenario, the Justice Department could seek to force Google to surrender parts of its business, including the Chrome web browser and Android software that powers most of the world’s smartphones because both of those also lock in search traffic.

In Friday’s hearing, Justice Department lawyers said they need ample time to come up with a comprehensive proposal that will also consider how Google has started to deploy artificial intelligence in its search results and how that technology could upend the market.

Google’s lawyers told the judge they hope the Justice Department proposes a realistic list of penalties that address the issues in the judge’s ruling rather than submit extreme measures that amount to “political grandstanding.”

Mehta gave the two sides until Sept. 13 to file a proposed timeline that includes the Justice Department disclosing its proposed punishment before 2025.

Calif. Man Charged w/ Killing 81 Animals in 3-Hour Shooting Rampage

0

(Headline USA) A man suspected of going on a three-hour shooting rampage in Northern California and killing 81 animals, including miniature horses, goats and chickens, pleaded not guilty to animal cruelty and other charges.

Vicente Arroyo, 39, made his first court appearance Thursday after Monterey County Sheriff deputies arrested him earlier in the week for allegedly using several weapons to shoot the animals being housed in pens and cages on a lot in the small community of Prunedale.

The animal owners do not want to be identified or speak with the media, Monterey County Sheriff Commander Andres Rosas told the Associated Press Friday.

“I went out there, and it was a pretty traumatic scene. These were people’s pets,” he said.

One of the miniature horses belonged to the owner of the lot where the animals were housed, the other 80 belonged to someone who rented the land to house their pets, Rosas said.

According to court records, Arroyo was charged with killing 14 goats, nine chickens, seven ducks, five rabbits, a guinea pig and 33 parakeets and cockatiels.

Arroyo is also charged with killing a pony named Lucky and two miniature horses named Estrella and Princessa, KSBW-TV reported.

Some animals survived the shooting, which lasted several hours, but had to be euthanized because of the severity of their injuries, Rosas said.

Rosas said Arroyo lived in a camper in a vineyard next to the lot where the animals were kept and that a motive is not yet known.

Authorities received multiple 911 calls around 3:25 a.m. Tuesday reporting shots being fired in Prunedale, an incorporated community about 8 miles from the city of Salinas, he said.

Deputies who arrived on the scene could hear shots being fired, and a shelter-in-place was ordered for a five-mile radius.

Monterey County S.W.A.T. members were sent in, and the sheriff’s office also requested drone assistance from the nearby Seaside Fire Department and Gonzales Police Department, Rosas said.

Officers in an armored vehicle arrested Arroyo without incident, he said.

Deputies found a crashed pickup truck and recovered eight firearms, including long rifles, shotguns and handguns, at the scene.

After executing a search warrant on his camper, they found another seven firearms, including an illegal assault weapon and two ghost guns, and about 2,000 rounds of various calibers of ammunition, Rosas said.

Prosecutors charged Arroyo with dozens of charges involving animal cruelty, willful discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, illegal possession of an assault weapon, vandalism, drug possession and making criminal threats and terrorizing while being in possession of a firearm as a felon.

“This is obviously the most horrific animal cruelty case we’ve ever seen in this county, I’m sure,” Chief Assistant District Attorney Berkley Brannon told KSBW-TV after the Thursday hearing.

Arroyo’s defense attorney, William Pernik, raised doubts about his mental competency. The judge ordered Arroyo, who is being held on a $1 million bail, to undergo a mental evaluation.

The court will get an update on Arroyo’s mental status in two weeks, the television station reported.

Reports did not specify whether Arroyo was a legal resident of the country or not.

Hunter Biden Offers Unlikely Explanation for Strategic ‘Guilty’ Plea

(Headline USA) Hunter Biden claimed this week that he decided to plead guilty to nine federal tax charges to “spare” his family from being “publicly humiliated” during his trial, according to the New York Post.

“I went to trial in Delaware not realizing the anguish it would cause my family, and I will not put them through it again,” he said in a statement, making reference to an earlier trial in which he was convicted of violating federal gun laws.

“I will not subject my family to more pain, more invasions of privacy and needless embarrassment,” he added. “For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty.”

Biden’s lawyers changed the embattled first son’s plea on Thursday after initially vowing to fight the charges brought against him. Some have speculated that Hunter Biden’s guilty plea could be rewarded by another cushy plea deal, or even by a presidential pardon.

Although his father, President Joe Biden, continues to pledge that he would not take such a measure himself, scenarios such as having him resign early to give Vice President Kamala Harris the honor of becoming the first Indian woman president might include the pardon as part of a quid-pro-quo negotiation.

In his statement, Hunter Biden sought to compare himself to “millions of Americans” who fail to “file and pay … taxes on time,” and again used his past drug addiction to write off his behavior.

“As I have stated, addiction is not an excuse, but it is an explanation for some of my failures at issue in this case,” the 54-year-old lawyer claimed. “When I was addicted, I wasn’t thinking about my taxes, I was thinking about surviving.”

Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden’s attorney, said the first son’s guilty plea would prevent “a show trial that would not have provided all the facts or served any justice.”

The trial was expected to take place before the November election, which would likely put the corrupt Biden family at top of mind for voters going to the polls.

By contrast, the trials and sentencing stemming from multiple lawfare attacks on former President Donald Trump have largely been delayed until after the Nov. 5 election.

The three felony and six misdemeanor charges against Hunter Biden said that he “engaged in a four-year scheme to not pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019, from in or about January 2017 through in or about October 15, 2020, and to evade the assessment of taxes for tax year 2018 when he filed false returns in or about February 2020.”

New York Post columnist Miranda Devine, who helped break the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop, pointed out that the guilty plea vindicates those who blew the whistle on his alleged criminal activity before the 2020 election.
