India Brings More Gold Home for Safe Keeping

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) India has brought more of its gold home. Last spring, the Reserve Bank of India repatriated 100 tons of gold, moving it from the UK to vaults within India’s borders.

According to a report by the New Indian Express, the RBI recently moved another 102 tons of gold home.

According to the latest data, the Indian central bank holds 854.73 tons of gold, with 510 tons now held within the country’s borders. That’s about 60 percent of its total reserves.

When the Reserve Bank of India moved the first 100 tons of gold earlier this year, an unnamed official told the Times of India the bank decided to move the gold for “logistical and storage diversification” reasons.

“RBI started purchasing gold a few years ago and decided to undertake a review of where it wants to store it, something that is done from time to time. Since stock was building up overseas, it was decided to get some of the gold to India.”

The Reserve Bank of India has been buying gold since 2017. Over that period, it has increased its gold reserves by over 260 tons.

An Indian economist told the Times of India that the push to accumulate gold was based on both political and economic reasons. He said that the “reliability” of the U.S. dollar has “diminished.” He noted the “noticeable decline” in the confidence in U.S. dollar assets.

Another economist told the Times, “It makes a lot of sense (to invest in gold), given the increased volatility in the FX market, elevated interest rates in the U.S., and, of course, also as the central banks in each economy would like to diversify the asset classes in which they are parking their reserves.”

The Gold Repatriation Trend

India is one of several central banks that have repatriated some of their gold holdings for safekeeping in recent years.

According to a World Gold Council survey in 2023, a “substantial share” of central banks expressed concern about potential sanctions after the U.S. and other Western countries froze almost half of Russia’s $650 billion gold and forex reserves in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine. According to the WGC, 68 percent of the banks surveyed said they plan to keep their gold reserve within their country’s borders. This was up from 50 percent in 2020.

One anonymously quoted central bank official told Reuters, “We did have it [gold] held in London… but now we’ve transferred it back to our country to hold as a safe haven asset and to keep it safe.”

Invesco head of official institutions Rod Ringrow told Reuters this reflects a widely held view.

“‘If it’s my gold, then I want it in my country’ has been the mantra we have seen in the last year or so.”

There has been speculation that countries have been moving gold and other assets out of the U.S. in the wake of economic sanctions on Russia, but it’s been difficult to confirm because the Federal Reserve won’t release information on the amount of gold in its vaults.

Earlier this year, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell evaded Rep. Alex Mooney’s (R-W.Va) questions about the central bank’s foreign gold holdings. The U.S. central bank has also declined to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request for records about such holdings.

As investigative reporter Ken Silva wrote, Headline USA filed a FOIA request with the Fed for records reflecting how much gold the Federal Reserve Bank of New York currently holds in its vault, as well as records reflecting the ownership stake that each of FRBNY’s central bank/government clients have in that gold following Powell’s evasive response. The FOIA request also sought records about the Fed’s gold holdings prior to Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

The Fed denied the request.

The gold repatriation trend started long before the West slapped sanctions on Russia. In 2019, Poland brought home 100 tons of gold. Hungary and Romania also repatriated some of their gold reserves around that same time. In the summer of 2017, Germany completed a project returning roughly half of its gold reserves back inside its borders. In 2015, Australia launched efforts to bring half of its reserves home. The Netherlands and Belgium have also initiated repatriation programs.

This gold repatriation trend underscores the importance of holding physical gold free from counterparty risk.

If you store your gold and silver with a third party, you could lose your metal through theft, fraud, or an act of God. Of course, you could lose silver and gold stored in your home the same way (except for fraud), so you have to weigh the risk of using third-party storage and keeping large amounts of silver and gold at home.

If you opt for third-party vaulting, it is important to choose a trusted company.

Money Metals offers secure precious metals storage in its brand-new state-of-the-art facility that is bigger than Ft. Knox.

Here are just a few advantages of storing with Money Metals:

  • Money Metals Depository contents are fully insured by Lloyd’s of London.
  • Metals stored in your account are segregated and never commingled or rehypothecated — and cannot be used as collateral for a loan by anyone but you.
  • Depository holdings are totally independent and removed from any bank, Wall Street, and Washington D.C.

House GOP to Anti-Trump Prosecutor Jack Smith: ‘Preserve Your Records’

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department will likely drop its two pending federal cases against President-elect Donald Trump, due to an internal policy not to prosecute sitting presidents.

But that’s not good enough for the House Judiciary Committee, which on Friday signalled its intent to investigate Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s dubious cases against Trump.

“With President Trump’s decisive victory this week, we are concerned that the Office of Special Counsel may attempt to purge relevant records, communications, and documents responsive to our numerous requests for information. The Office of Special Counsel is not immune from transparency or above accountability for its actions,” Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said in a letter to Smith.

Jordan and Rep. Barry Loudermilk, the chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight, reiterated the requests they’ve been making for the last two years for various DOJ documents about the Trump prosecutions. They also told Smith to preserve all his records about the same.

“You should construe this preservation notice as an instruction to take all reasonable steps to prevent the destruction or alteration, whether intentionally or negligently, of all documents, communications, and other information, including electronic information and metadata, that are or may be responsive to this congressional inquiry,” they said.

“This instruction includes all electronic messages sent using official and personal accounts or devices, including records created using text messages, phone-based message applications, or encryption software.”

Trump has pledged to fire Smith “within 2 seconds” of taking office. A Supreme Court ruling this summer that prohibited presidents from being prosecuted for official acts already complicated the two cases, one involving the president-elect’s storage of documents and another concerning his actions on Jan. 6, 2021.

Investigative reporter Julie Kelly said Smith needs to be held accountable for his dubious actions—specifically the way he handled the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case against Trump.

“The special counsel’s office was forced to disclose instances of tampering with and perhaps destroying evidence, intimidating witnesses, withholding discovery, and misleading the court,” Kelly noted in a Thursday Substack article.

“Court proceedings also revealed egregious misconduct related to the unprecedented armed raid of Mar-a-Lago; agents working out of the Washington and Miami FBI field offices breached the broad terms of the search warrant by ransacking the bedrooms of Melania and Barron Trump,” she said.

“The FBI’s plan included the bureau’s use of lethal force policy, underscoring the excessiveness of the raid, which was altogether unnecessary considering Trump and his lawyers had been cooperating with authorities for months.”

‘We Woke Up In A Body Bag’: Ex-Obama Adviser Slams ‘Idiot’ Dems for Underestimating Trump

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) CNN’s Van Jones criticized the Democrat Party for underestimating Republican President-elect Donald Trump’s digital campaign strategy Thursday on Erin Burnett Outfront.

Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris early Wednesday following a campaign packed with podcast appearances, most notably a three-hour conversation on The Joe Rogan Experience days before Election Day.

Jones reflected on Democrats who scoffed at the Trump campaign’s online appeal, saying his party should not have mocked the Republican president-elect’s digital strategy.

“And here’s how we got beat. We got beat because the Republicans and the conservatives built a different media system that had to do with online, it had to do with podcasts, it had to do with streaming platforms,” Jones pointed out. “They were spending their money there.”

Jones said Democrats underestimated the impact of Trump’s digital campaign.

“We were laughing at them! And knocking on doors in Philadelphia and Detroit, ‘There’s no Trump people! They’re not dropping literature. But knocking on doors… ha ha ha!’” he said.

CNN host Erin Burnett agreed that Democrats were laughing at Trump for relying on billionaire Elon Musk, who helms the social media platform X and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

The Trump campaign took on a new life on popular Gen Z social media platform TikTok, where he accumulated millions more followers and views than Harris.

Musk’s ownership of X also allowed for Trump campaign content to thrive online.

“We were making fun of Donald Trump for having thrown away his ground game and doing some weird stuff online. We thought that they were idiots,” Jones said. “It turned out we were the idiots.”

“We woke up in a body bag because while we were knocking on doors, they were making these phones into 24-hour-a-day political weapons for themselves,” the CNN commentator said.

Jones acknowledged that Republicans did a better job campaigning.

“We got outflanked, outplayed, out-beat by people who told us the whole time that they knew what they were doing,” Jones said.

FBI Informant Had Yearslong Relationship w/ Target in Latest Terrorism Sting

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department announced Wednesday that U.S. citizen Syed Aman has been charged with attempting to support ISIS, after he was arrested Election Day trying to board a plane to Qatar.

Like so many of the DOJ’s terrorism cases, the one against Aman involved an FBI informant that talked to him for more than two years—teaching him about terrorism and seemingly grooming him along the way.

According to the government’s criminal complaint, Aman and the FBI informant were chatting in 2023 on a website where the informant was posing as an ISIS operative in the Middle East.

“AMAN stated to the [FBI informant] that he wanted to travel to join ISIS in Iraq or north Baghdad … The [ FBI informant] provided general guidance on travel and stated that there were options to avoid detection depending on what country AMAN selected,” the criminal complaint against Aman admitted.

Aman and the informant discussed sending cryptocurrency to ISIS, but Aman never did so. After talking for a couple months, Aman went dark from August 2023 to January of this year.

“AMAN did not contact the CHS, nor did the CHS contact AMAN,” the complaint said.

“On or about January 31, 2024, AMAN messaged the CHS and apologized that he had not been in contact. AMAN said in English that he was ‘t[o]o cautious’ and ‘it prevented [him] from sending’ money to the CHS.”

Aman did send cryptocurrency intended for ISIS to the FBI informant in February. Throughout much of the year, he formulated plans to travel to the Middle East and join ISIS.

Unlike many of the mentally ill teenagers that the FBI busts in terrorism sting, Aman appears to be intelligent: According to the complaint, he’s a software developer.

Aman also apparently knew he was on a no-fly list and that was being monitored by the feds. In October, he was blocked from purchasing a plane ticket—it’s not clear why, but the complaint said his attempted purchase was flagged by Homeland Security—but he had a relative buy him another one.

However, the criminal complaint also suggests that the 28-year-old may not have been a fully independent adult: At one point, he said his parents had taken his passport.

The criminal complaint also suggests that the FBI informant forged a close relationship with Aman over the two-plus years of them knowing each other: “You are beloved to me,” Aman told the informant at one point.

Aman had an initial appearance in court on Wednesday.

Bernie Sanders Explains Why Trump Won; Dems Attack Him Instead of Learning Lesson

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has issued a cogent explanation for why Kamala Harris was soundly defeated by Donald Trump in the 2024 election—and Democrats are none too pleased about it.

Sanders issued his statement Wednesday, on the heels of Trump’s landslide victory.

“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” he said.

“First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”

Sanders also blasted Democrats for supporting Israel’s war in Gaza. Harris was particularly dismissive of Muslim voters, choosing to campaign with Liz Cheney, whose father was responsible for more than 1 million dead Arabs.

“Despite strong opposition from a majority of Americans, we continue to spend billions funding the extremist Netanyahu government’s all out war against the Palestinian people which has led to the horrific humanitarian disaster of mass malnutrition and the starvation of thousands of children,” Sanders said.

“Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign? Will they understand the pain and political alienation that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing? Do they have any ideas as to how we can take on the increasingly powerful Oligarchy which has so much economic and political power?” he asked.

“Probably not.”

Sanders was correct: Democrats did not heed his message.

“This is straight up BS,” Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison responded on Twitter/X.

Sanders was also chastised by pro-Trumpers, who asked him why he didn’t raise these points ahead of the election.

“Sadly late,” remarked Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

‘God, My Heart Is Beating Fast’: Billie Eilish Melts Down About Trump on Stage

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Singer Billie Eilish melted down about Republican President-elect Donald Trump on stage Wednesday during a concert in Nashville, Tennessee.

Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris early Wednesday by winning all seven swing states, the popular vote and GOP majorities in both chambers of Congress.

Eilish, who posted “it’s a war on women” to Instagram after the race was called for Trump, broke down and parroted the Democrat talking point in the middle of her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour show.

“Waking up this morning, I kinda couldn’t fathom doing a show on this day,” she said, according to The Tennessean.

The Grammy-winning singer, who proudly endorsed Harris, acknowledged the “privilege” she has of performing to such a large audience before introducing her 2021 song “Your Power.”

“It’s about the abuse that exists in this world upon women and a lot of the experiences that I have gone through and that people I know have gone through,” Eilish said. “And, to tell you the truth, I’ve never met one single woman who doesn’t have a story of abuse.”

@aidan.fecarotta my girl for life, we LOVE you #billieeilish #hmhas #hmhasnashville #concert #fyp #foryou #presidentialelection ♬ original sound – aidan

Eilish explained that the song was written based on personal experience, saying, “I’ve been taken advantage of. And I’ve been … my boundaries were crossed, to say it politely.”

She dedicated her performance of the song to Democrat women devastated by Trump being elected to a second term.

“Now a person who is a convicted … uh, so many things … let’s say a convicted predator, let’s say that—God, my heart is beating so fast—someone who hates women so, so deeply is about to be president of the United States of America,” Eilish said.

“And, so, this song is for all the women out there. I love you, I support you,” she added before singing the song.

Unseated Dem Senator Bob Casey Refuses to Concede Race

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Outgoing Sen. Bob Casey, D-Penn., refused to concede his reelection bid Thursday after the race was called for Republican challenger Dave McCormick.

McCormick, 59, successfully unseated the three-term Casey in a major blow to Pennsylvania’s Democrat establishment.

Despite the Republican’s more than 30,000 lead when the race was called around 4:09 p.m., Casey’s Communications Director Maddy McDaniel issued a statement explaining the Democrat’s decision to not yet concede.

“As the Pennsylvania Secretary of State said this afternoon, there are some tens of thousands of ballots across the Commonwealth still to count, which includes provisional ballots, military and overseas ballots, and mail ballots,” the statement read.

“This race is within half a point and cannot be called while the votes of thousands of Pennsylvanians are still being counted,” the statement continued. “We will make sure every Pennsylvanian’s voice is heard.”

The Pennsylvania Department of State issued a statement from Secretary Al Schmidt casting doubt on McCormick’s victory saying at least 100,000 more ballots should be counted before a winner can be announced.

“Throughout the day, the Department has communicated with counties who continue to conduct a secure election where every eligible vote is counted,” Schmidt’s statement said.

He called for patience and said there were still ballots that needed to be counted.

“We estimated there are at least 100,000 ballots remaining to be adjudicated, including provisional, military, overseas, and Election Day votes,” the statement read. “We urge patience as election workers continue to do this important work, especially in contests where the margins are very close.”

Casey’s hesitancy to concede contradicts his 2020 call for then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to concede defeat against then-Democrat President-elect Joe Biden.

“We know that the peaceful transfer of power is a hallmark of our democracy. He should take the first step, which is concession, and then, from there we can have the beginnings of the peaceful transfer of power,” Casey told The Hill on Nov. 11, 2020.

Report: Crooked Capitol Police Officer Hiding in Mountains after Trump Victory

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Washington Post profiled notorious ex-Capitol Police officer Michael Fanone on Nov. 6, revealing that he’s hiding in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the wake of Donald Trump’s landslide victory—prepping for a showdown with federal agents.

Fanone was one of the poster boys of the Democrats’ Jan. 6 Commission, making claims that Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protestors  swarmed him on the lower west terrace, tased him until he suffered cardiac arrest, and pummeled him into unconsciousness. Reporters such as Julie Kelly later cast doubt on Fanone’s claims, showing that he had called into CNN the night of Jan. 6—and didn’t show or mention any of those supposed injuries.

Fanone is apparently fearing retribution for participating in the Jan. 6 show trials.

“If Trump wants him imprisoned, he’d rather be killed in a shootout,” the Post reported.

“I’ll die right here on my f—ing house,” he told the Post. “I’m not going to be in some ‘Apprentice’ f—ing military tribunal.”

The Post added that Fanone insists that he’s not some “prepper weirdo.”

“He’s just someone who understands how law enforcement can be weaponized against people — ‘and I fully expect that to happen,’” the newspaper reported.

Leading up the election, Fanone was seen earlier outside the Manhattan courthouse where President Donald Trump was facing trial. That campaign event also featured actor Robert De Niro and former U.S. Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn.

It was also revealed earlier this year that Fanone’s private security firm, Lower West Terrace LLC, was providing services for Rep. Eric Swalwell.

“Swalwell declined to provide more specific details on those points, and Fanone and his team were more reticent still,” The Daily Beast reported in May. “Fanone would not confirm Swalwell’s assertion that the company has served other political groups.”

Jimmy Kimmel Has On-Air Meltdown Over Trump Landslide Victory

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Is Jimmy Kimmel… okay?

The self-described comedian and longtime MAGA antagonist had an emotional on-air breakdown following Donald Trump’s 2024 landslide victory.

“It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard-working immigrants… for justice, for free speech,” Kimmel said on Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, a day after Trump’s victory.

“Let me tell you, that was the worst Taco Tuesday of my whole life,” Kimmel added, his voice breaking as he held back tears.

“We had the choice between a prosecutor and a criminal and we chose the criminal to be president of the United States,” Kimmel continued. “More than half of this country voted for the criminal who’s planning to pardon himself for his crimes. I guess this election wasn’t rigged.”

Kimmel’s response is unsurprising, given his eight-year history of attacking Trump and his supporters through what he calls comedy.

With less than five days until Election Day, Kimmel urged Trump voters to vote “very late” or on Thursday or Friday, well after polls would have closed.

But now it is Trump voters who are cracking the jokes on X, with many users mocking Kimmel’s tears.

“Beautiful,” wrote Mazemoore, who shared a side-by-side video of Kimmel calling Trump a “blowhard” and “snowflake” next to his post-election reaction.

“Jimmy Kimmel is a nasty, repulsive man,” wrote author and commentator Juanita Broaddrick.

“Cry more,” added Blaze TV podcast host Sara Gonzales.

Dems Now Blame George Clooney for Kamala’s Defeat

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Leftists are now blaming Hollywood actor George Clooney for Kamala Harris losing the 2024 election because earlier this year, he published an op-ed, calling Joe Biden to leave the presidential race and urging Democrats to find a candidate who would be more likely to defeat now President-elect Donald Trump.

“This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and Congress member and governor who I’ve spoken with in private,” Clooney wrote in his op-ed.

Soon after the New York Times published Clooney’s op-ed, Democrats orchestrated a coup and replaced Biden with Kamala Harris. Now, furious leftists are saying that Clooney contributed to Trump’s victory.

“Thank you, George Clooney,” @JHartley2 wrote sarcastically.

Other leftists went as far as saying that they wanted to beat up Clooney for causing Trump’s landslide victory.

“Someone bring me George Clooney. We need to have a… talk,” @altNOAA wrote.

On the other hand, conservatives thanked Clooney for what he did.

“I would like to take a moment to thank George Clooney for shoving the most incompetent candidate down America’s throat to ensure a Trump victory,” @CompletelyUp wrote.

It was previously reported that Clooney planned to run for Senate in 2026, which may never come true because of his now-stained reputation.

“His endorsement of Kamala was definitely calculated. George is contemplating a future [presidential] run and has the support of one of the most powerful Democrats in the world, Barack Obama. He has his scope set on a possible run for a Senate seat in 2026 and will undoubtedly continue to gain respect within the Democratic party,” the Daily Mail’s insider said.

Clooney was not the only person Democrats blamed for Harris’s defeat in the 2024 election. Democrats blamed Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., because Gov. Josh Shapiro, D-Pa., was a better choice. They also questioned their collective decision to replace Biden.
