Two ‘Squad’ Reps. Vote against Bill Barring Hamas Terrorists from U.S.

(Headline USA) “Squad” Reps. Cori Bush, D-Mo., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., were the only two representatives this week to vote against a bill that would bar Hamas terrorists from entering the U.S.

The bill, called the No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act, would bar Hamas members and anyone else who “participated in, planned, financed, afforded material support to, or otherwise facilitated” last year’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel from entering the U.S.

It would also expand a U.S. ban on organizations affiliated with terrorist groups such as Hamas, including the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Currently, PLO officers are banned from entering the U.S. Under this bill, all PLO members would be subject to the ban.

Bush and Tlaib were the only members to vote against the bill, with a third, Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Ill., voting “present.”

Tlaib claimed in a statement that the bill was “redundant” and dismissed it as “just another” Islamophobic bill.

“It’s just another GOP messaging bill being used to incite anti-Arab, anti-Palestinian, and anti-Muslim hatred that makes communities like ours unsafe,” she claimed.

Ramirez, who voted “present,” did not support it because she was “done with political games,” she said.

“The majority is wasting time bringing a bill that is already current law,” she added. “There are already no immigration benefits for Hamas terrorists. It’s a waste of resources and time. And I’m not playing along.”

Tlaib has openly attacked Israel ever since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack but refused to condemn Hamas. She has even used jargon often associated with the radical Islamist group, including the phrase “From the river to the sea.”

In response, her House colleagues voted in November to censure her for “promoting false narratives” about Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel and for “calling for the destruction of the state of Israel.”

Twitter’s AI Bot Validates Viral Theory about Taylor Swift Psy-Op

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Twitter’s artificial intelligence function, known as “Grok,” weighed in the so-called Taylor Swift psy-op by validating the claims of online conspiracy theorists, InfoWars reported.

The viral topic of whether Democrats were strategically using the influential pop singer to boost President Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign has forced countless conservatives on social media to pause from thinking about the Roman Empire, and has driven intra-party divisions to “Yanny and Laurel” levels.

With some now calling for an end to the infighting, one Grok user sought the conclusive answer by asking the AI chatbot whether “Democrats and Joe Biden [were] using Taylor Swift as a prop to influence voters and interfere in the Presidential election?”

The bot’s reply: “Based on the available information, it appears that Democrats and Joe Biden are indeed leveraging Taylor Swift’s influence to sway young voters in the 2024 presidential election.”

Swift’s influence on young voters is significant, with polls showing that 18% of voters said they would vote for the candidate she endorsed.

A 2022 social-media post from the artist encouraging people to register to vote resulted in 35,000 new registrations on the voter roll.

Swift, a former country-music star from Tennessee, remained remarkably apolitical prior to the 2018 election, when she endorsed Democrat Phil Bredesen over now-Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.

Her move to the Universal Music Group in the fall of 2018 helped further cement her status as a pop superstar, even as her public statements grew more divisive, promoting issues like abortion and the LGBT agenda.

Then, in June 2019, producer “Scooter” Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired her former label, Big Machine, and with it gained master-rights control of her first six albums.

In a speech denouncing the acquisition, Swift name-checked globalist billionaire George Soros and the Carlyle Group, whose co-founder (and new Baltimore Orioles co-owner) David Rubenstein hosted Biden last year for Thanksgiving.

Some right-wing pundits, including InfoWars host Alex Jones, have come to Swift’s defense as being an innocent pawn, and have claimed that attacks on the warbler are merely playing into the hands of the Deep State.

“She is a performer following orders,” Jones said in a tweet. “The dying system is trying to subconsciously switch her out with Biden in young voters minds. This only works if you are not living an awake life.”

Adding to the confusion and intrigue, officials at the Pentagon recently denied that Swift had been weaponized for political warfare.

“As for this conspiracy theory, we are going to shake it off,” said Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh, alluding to Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off,” before changing the subject.

Some have further speculated that Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may also be an attempt to turn football woke.

Kelce has already been brought in to help recoup Bud Light’s branding after the disastrous attempt at a partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Kelce also took a deal to promote vaccines, in a possible attempt to quell doubts brought up by quarterback Aaron Rodgers and other big names in the NFL.

“As long as he’s involved with Taylor Swift, he’s got no shot,” said conservative commentator Jason Whitlock. “Kelce will have to be a hardcore leftist to maintain this relationship with Taylor Swift because that’s what her industry requires, and that’s what the sports industry now requires.”

Biden Insults Gold-Star Families Yet Again w/ Lie about Beau

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden sought to console the grieving family members of U.S. servicemen killed by an Iranian-backed militia in Jordan by recounting a fabricated story about the death of his late son, Beau Biden.

While speaking to Shawn Sanders and Oneida Oliver-Sanders, the parents of Army Spc. Kennedy Sanders, Biden suggested that Beau Biden had died while serving in Iraq – but he did not. Beau Biden passed away in 2015 after being diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

“My son spent a year in Iraq; that’s how I lost him,” Biden told Oliver-Sanders, as seen in video shared by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

On Jan. 28, Kennedy Sanders, Sgt. William Jerome Rivers from Carrollton and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett lost their lives, with over 40 others sustaining injuries in Jordan, following a drone attack by an Iranian-backed militia group.

While Beau Biden served in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Iraq for seven months, his death occurred nearly six years after his last deployment. Nevertheless, Biden has frequently referenced his son when speaking to Gold Star families, as reported by the New York Post.

Biden’s attempt to make the connection has drawn criticism from individuals who argue that Biden is misleadingly suggesting his son died while serving in the military.

The president has consistently claimed that his son’s cancer was the product from exposure to toxic fumes from “burn pits,” as reported by the NY Post.

In an August 2021 interview, Mark Schmitz, the father of a 20-year-old Marine killed in Afghanistan by a suicide bomber, said Biden mostly made the conversation about himself.

“Well, initially, I wasn’t going to meet with him,” Schmitz said Fox News. “But then I felt I owed it to my son to at least have some words with him about how I felt—and it didn’t go well. He talked a bit more about his own son than we did [of] my son and that didn’t sit well with me.”

Kathy McCollum, the mother of 20-year-old Rylee, who was also killed in Afghanistan, rebuked Biden’s leadership following the deadly attack. “Twenty years and 6 months old, getting ready to go home from freaking Jordan to be home with his wife to watch the birth of his son, and that feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die,” she said.

Cori Bush Paid Husband $17K from Campaign, Despite Federal Probe

(Headline USA) “Squad” Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., used campaign funds to pay her husband another $17,000 in recent months, even as the Justice Department launched an investigation into her campaign’s spending on private security.

Bush, who confirmed this week that she was under investigation for the alleged misuse of campaign and federal funds related to her private security payments, has been paying her husband, Cortney Merritts, from her campaign since 2021.

She initially logged the payments as security-related, despite the fact that Merritts was not registered to provide professional security services in her congressional district.

After the issue stared receiving additional scrutiny and ethics complaints, in April 2023, she changed the description to “wage expenses.”

Bush and Merritts were married in February 2023 but have been together since before she entered office in 2021.

Bush’s employment of her husband has drawn at least two Federal Election Commission complaints and now a Justice Department probe.

However, new filings from the Missouri Democrat revealed she has continued to pay Merritts over the past several months, in at least seven installments of $2,500 each. The payments bring the total sum Merritts has collected from Bush’s campaign to $120,000.

When asked directly about his role with Bush’s campaign, Merritts appeared to confirm that he does not actually work for her at all.

“I don’t have a role in the campaign,” Merritts told Fox News in October.

“You don’t have a role at all?” the reporter countered. “They were reporting you had wages on the campaign for security, and then it was a general wage. I was just wondering what you’ve been doing on the campaign?”

Merritts replied: “Yeah, I mean you can Google what it is … Am I still employed with it? Yes, so obviously, I’m going to work with it.”

He then deflected the attack back onto the journalist, accusing him of victimizing a private citizen with ambush tactics.

“What’s this whole ‘gotcha’ s***?” Merritts asked. “I’m not a politician, man, so ask me a question, man-to-man, and I’ll answer.”

Bush also denied the allegations that she had been improperly paying Merritts, dismissing the federal probe into her finances this week as a “right-wing” attack.

Wuhan-Linked Rocky Mt. Lab Accused of Experimenting on Animals w/ Deadly Viruses

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Recently-released photos suggest that Montana’s Wuhan-linked Rocky Mountain Lab has been running animal experiments with a variety of deadly viruses, the Daily Mail reported.

The White Coat Waste Project, a watchdog group that protests against dangerous virus experimentation, obtained the photos and videos of the Rocky Mountain Lab’s research methods via a Freedom of Information Act request.

Rocky Mountain Lab is a branch of the National Institutes of Health, the organization that oversaw the work of former COVID czar Anthony Fauci.

They reportedly ran experiments on piglets and primates using highly contagious and deadly viruses like Ebola, Lassa, Nipah and the Bubonic plague.

There is no evidence of illegal activity on the part of the Rocky Mountain Lab, but the evidence continues to mount suggesting that the NIH has been playing with fire in its so-called “gain of function” research.

According to Justin Goodman, the senior vice president of the White Coat Waste Project, the “NIH’s dangerous, wasteful, and cruel maximal pain animal experiments” have been exposed.

Goodman further pointed out that the lab was spending taxpayer money on this dangerous research.

“Taxpayers have a right to know how their money is being spent in barbaric NIH animal labs that can cause a devastating lab leak and pandemic right here in the US,” Goodman added.

The news prompted Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., to pen a letter to the NIH asking to “learn more about potentially risky research” conducted at their facilities.

Ernst also demanded that the Pentagon review the $50 million in grants the United States is sending to various Chinese medical research institutions, including some in Wuhan.

“Taxpayers deserve to know how much of their money is being shipped to China and why Washington continues collecting and creating deadly super viruses, both of which could pose threats to our national security,” Ernst wrote.

Colorado Prof. Dresses Like Butterfly to Fight Climate Anxiety

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A professor at the University of Colorado Boulder dressed up as a butterfly for class to help fend off “climate anxiety,” the College Fix reported.

Beth Osnes, who teaches in UCB’s theater department and its environmental sciences department, has done her butterfly act for some time to help her address climate anxiety, which she describes as a crippling mental-health crisis.

“I started to get that terrible ooze feeling, that comes in like a sickness that you get from despair. It was like swallowing crude oil or something,” Osnes said, adding that her sickness comes from knowing about pollution.

“Just the knowledge of what’s happening to our planet, it feels almost disabling,” she added. “It almost puts your heart on the ground. And we can’t address the climate crisis if our hearts are on the ground.”

Osnes said she hoped her “Butterfly Affect [sic]” experience, like the theoretical phenomenon from which it derives its name, would cascade from something small into a much larger movement.

The act was intended “to inspire a collective commitment to co-create a world that is equitable, sustainable, and conducive to thriving life and ecosystems,” she told Colorado Public Radio.

According to Osnes’ faculty bio, she has also produced a climate musical and founded a a pro-LGBT group meant to promote “female and non-binary youth vocal empowerment.”

Osnes has also published numerous papers, most of which have to do directly with climate change.

For instance, she published one paper called “Lens on Climate Change: Making Climate Meaningful Through Student-Produced Videos” and another titled, “A Laughing Matter? Confronting climate change through humor.”

And while university psychologists warn that climate anxiety is increasingly prevalent among young people, some far-left professors, such as Sarah Ray of California State Polytechnic University Humboldt, have warned that climate anxiety might be infused with racism.

“[A] year into the pandemic, after the murder of George Floyd and the protests that followed, and the attack on the U.S. Capitol, I am deeply concerned about the racial implications of climate anxiety,” Ray wrote in 2021, wondering why the interest in climate anxiety is so “white.”

“Is climate anxiety a form of white fragility or even racial anxiety?” she asked.

Biden Finally Plans to Visit East Palestine, One Year After Train Derailment

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden is finally set to visit East Palestine, Ohio nearly one year after a disastrous train derailment forced hundreds of residents to abandon their homes.

Though some Biden administration officials, including Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, reluctantly visited the community in the aftermath of the train derailment, Biden declined to travel to the area himself.

When asked earlier this month if the president ever planned to meet with residents in East Palestine, White House press secretary Karine Jean–Pierre said, “The president will visit when it’s most helpful to the community.”

Apparently, that time is the one-year anniversary of the disaster, which happened on Feb. 3, 2023.

Biden planned to use the visit to highlight his administration’s “comprehensive, whole-of-government response” to ensure railroad safety, according to the White House.

East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway, who blasted Biden repeatedly for his administration’s response to the train derailment, suggested the Democrat leader would be better off not coming at all.

Conaway told Fox News, Biden could visit in “February of 2025, when he is on his book tour,” seeming to imply that he would not be re-elected in November.

Conaway added that the president was “always welcome to our town.” But “that being said, I don’t know what he would do here now.”

Several East Palestine residents have also publicly blasted the president for his apathy concerning the struggles they’ve endured as a result of the toxic chemicals spilled during the train derailment.

“I still have yet to take my kids into East Palestine—I’m still fearful of what it’s going to cause,” said local resident Courtney Miller, who has been staying in a motel outside of the area ever since the derailment.

“I just don’t feel comfortable,” Miller added. “And I don’t want to take my kids into something that, obviously, Biden doesn’t even want to show up [at].”

In stark contrast to Biden, former President Donald Trump met with residents of East Palestine just weeks after the incident with Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio.

“You are not forgotten,” Trump told residents at the time. “We stand with you. We pray for you. And we will stand with you and your fight to help ensure the accountability that you deserve.”

The Biden administration’s cavalier attitude toward East Palestine stands in stark contrast with its disproportionate interest in the Middle Eastern territory of Palestine, to which he has already delivered at least $100 million in humanitarian aid, while pushing Congress to approve even more as longtime U.S. ally Israel seeks to eradicate the Hamas terrorist network responsible for an Oct. 7, 2023, ambush that left an estimated 1,200 dead and took more than 200 hostages.

James Biden Agrees to Private Interview for House Oversight’s Impeachment Probe

(Headline USA) James Biden will appear before House Republicans for a private interview next month as lawmakers continue their monthslong impeachment inquiry into his brother, President Joe Biden.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee announced on Wednesday that the Democratic president’s younger sibling will come to Capitol Hill on Feb. 21. The date was set after months of negotiations between the sides.

“We look forward to his interview,” the committee tweeted.

James Biden’s interview will take place just days before the president’s son Hunter Biden will be deposed in private by the committee, which has been investigating the Biden family’s overseas finances for the past year.

Both James and Hunter Biden were subpoenaed by the committee in November.

A lawyer for James Biden insisted at the time that there was no justification for the subpoena because the committee had already reviewed private bank records and transactions between the two brothers.

At least 150 of the Biden family’s financial records were flagged as suspicious transactions by the banks that processed them.

Among them, the committee found records of two direct payments James made to Joe Biden when the latter was not in office or a candidate for president.

One $200,000 payment to Joe Biden came on the exact same day that James received a $200,000 loan from a failing hospital-management company.

Another check, for $40,000, came shortly after a Chinese energy company paid Hunter $400,000 in a deal that also involved James—effectively making good on a promise to remit 10% to the “big guy.”

“There is nothing more to those transactions, and there is nothing wrong with them,” lawyer Paul Fishman said in a statement in November. “And Jim Biden has never involved his brother in his business dealings.”

In recent weeks, the Oversight committee has deposed several former Biden-family associates. In nearly every interview, the witnesses claimed to have seen no evidence that Joe Biden was directly involved in his son’s or brother’s business ventures.

However, emails from a series of aliases that Joe Biden established during his time as vice president revealed that he used the fake accounts to keep tabs on the family business affairs. The White House, thus far, has refused to authorize the National Archives to release all but 1% of the emails.

Witnesses—including Hunter’s longtime close associate Devon Archer—have also confirmed that, during business meetings, Joe Biden would often call in to talk about “the weather.”

Furthermore, Hunter Biden’s phone records show that in a WhatsApp exchange with a Chinese official—during which he threatened consequences if the Chinese investors failed to pay him—Hunter was physically present at his father’s house in Wilmington, Delaware, and even claimed in the message that Joe Biden was sitting right next to him.

Republicans, led by committee chairman, Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, are pushing ahead despite the slow progress and routine stonewalling—including a brazen display of contempt of Congress by Hunter, who openly defied a House subpoena with support from both the White House and congressional Democrats.

The allegations of bribery and influence-peddling that has potentially undermined national security could result in impeachment charges against Biden, the ultimate penalty for what the Constitution describes as “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The founding document specifically lists “bribery,” along with “treason,” as examples of impeachable offenses.

Moreover, some Republicans argue that the politically motivated 2019 and 2021 impeachments of former President Donald Trump, over allegations which failed to meet the criminal threshold, effectively lowered the bar on all impeachments.

There had been private discussions about bringing articles of impeachment against Biden to the House floor for a vote in February, but those conversations have since stalled.

Regardless, it seems unlikely that the Democrat-majority Senate will vote to convict the 81-year-old president before the November election—unless, of course, doing so becomes a matter of political expediency as they seek to replace him on the 2024 presidential ticket.

House Republicans have shifted their focus, for now, on impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over his handling of the situation at the U.S.–Mexico border.

FBI Agent Indicted for Stealing Cell Phones During Home Raids

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department announced Wednesday that a 36-year-old FBI agent from Houston has been charged with theft of personal and government property and providing false statements.

According to the indictment, unsealed Wednesday, Nicholas Anthony Williams has been an FBI special agent in the Houston Field Office since 2019. He served in both the criminal violent gang and counterterrorism squads.

Williams is alleged to have taken money or property from multiple residences while executing search warrants as an FBI special agent from around November 2022 to March 2023.

“Williams also stole multiple cell phones which were FBI property and provided false statements with regard to several fraudulent charges on his government-issued credit card,” the DOJ said in a press release.

Details of Williams’s alleged crimes are sparce. A five-page indictment was unsealed, but other charging documents remain secret.

The FBI released the following statement on Williams: “The FBI takes allegations of misconduct seriously and will hold accountable any employee who violates policy and/or the law.

“In this case, when allegations were brought to our attention, the FBI reported them to the Department of Justice – Office of the Inspector General (DOJ-OIG), an independent entity that investigates allegations involving DOJ employees,” the FBI said.

“Every FBI employee is held to the highest standards, and our focus is on carrying out the FBI mission to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States with integrity, every day. Since this matter is pending prosecution, we refer all future inquiries to the USAO-SDTX.”

Williams made his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Christina Bryan, and was released on bail.

If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a possible $250,000 maximum fine.

The DOJ Inspector General is conducting the investigation.

WW3 Watch: Houthi Missile Nearly Demolishes U.S. Destroyer

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Talk about too close for comfort.

CNN reported Thursday that a cruise missile launched by the Houthis in the Red Sea came within a mile of a U.S. destroyer before being intercepted on Tuesday. CNN explained that a cruise missile can travel a mile in mere seconds.

According to CNN, the USS Gravely shot down the missile with a defense system that only hits targets that have made it past longer range defenses.

“In the past, these missiles have been intercepted by US destroyers in the area at a range of eight miles or more, the officials said,” CNN reported Thursday.

“But the USS Gravely had to use its Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) for the first time since the US began intercepting the Houthi missiles late last year, which ultimately succeeded in downing the missile,” CNN reported.

“The CIWS, an automated machine gun designed for close-range intercepts, is one of the final defensive lines the ship has to shoot down an incoming missile when other layers of defense have failed to intercept it.”

American forces have reportedly shot down nearly 70 Houthi drones and 20 anti-ship missiles in recent months, according to the War Zone.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin reportedly condemned the attacks, which come as President Joe Biden promises a prolonged bombing campaign against Iranian targets outside of that country.

Biden hasn’t publicly indicated how he’ll respond if Houthi missile actually hit a U.S. vessel, but administration officials were recently quoted by the New York Times as saying that the U.S. will go to war with Iran if a single U.S. troop is killed by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq or Syria.

“Biden administration officials have regularly debated the proper strategy. They do not want to let such attacks go without a response, but on the other hand do not want to go so far that the conflict would escalate into a full-fledged war, particularly by striking Iran directly,” the Times reported on Jan. 21.

“They privately say they may have no choice, however, if American troops are killed. That is a red line that has not been crossed, but if the Iranian-backed militias ever have a day of better aim or better luck, it easily could be.”

Austin Dahmer, a national security advisor for Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., said the Houthi strikes are good reason to remove U.S. forces from the area.

“Discontinue putting our fleet in harm’s way for tertiary interest at all, and then you don’t have to expend incredibly scarce/expensive SM-6s OR risk allowing the missiles close enough to engage with the CIWS,” he said.

Meanwhile, Biden is partnering with al-Qaeda in Yemen to counter the Houthis.
