DeSantis Explains Refusal to Join Trump 2024 Ticket: ‘Not Doing That’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is offering some insights into his decision not to be considered as a potential running mate on Donald Trump’s 2024 ticket.

DeSantis asserted on Wednesday that, in contrast to other Republican politicians, he is not actively seeking a place on the ticket and attributed this reluctance to what he perceives as a focus on identity politics as the sole criterion.

“People were mentioning me [as a potential vice president]. I am not doing that,” DeSantis said during a phone call with his now-defunct campaign, according to the New York Post.

“I know some people are really actively seeking it. It seems to me, just from watching kind of the body language and stuff, that you have a handful of folks who seem to be auditioning for it,” he added.

In the conversation, DeSantis reportedly shared that when he ran for president, he sought a running mate capable of assuming the role if necessary.

“I need someone who can do the job if it came to that, and I would have been the third-youngest president elected so chances are … I would probably be in pretty good shape, but you never know what else can happen, it’s happened before,” he explained.

The governor implied that Trump is probably seeking a woman or an ethnic minority candidate to counter Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I think he’s going to probably use different criteria,” DeSantis said of Trump. “I’ve heard that they are looking more at identity politics. I think that’s a mistake. I think you should just focus on who you think the best person for the job would be.”

Trump said he is considering Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.

Gabbard expressed her willingness to be chosen by Trump, stating, “I’d be honored. I’ve taken on Kamala Harris on a debate stage before, and I’d look forward to doing that again.

Google’s AI Creates Images of Non-White Founding Fathers, Popes, Vikings

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed that Google’s AI chatbot Gemini explicitly avoids showing white people, even if a person asks for a picture of a white person, such as a pope, a Viking and America’s Founding Fathers.

However, as a result, the person receives pictures of an Indian female pope, black Vikings and America’s Founding Fathers, none of whom are depicted as white males, according to the New York Post.

The Post interacted with the woke AI chatbot on Feb. 21, 2024, asking the software to “create an image of a pope.”

Instead of sending back a picture of one of the 266 pontiffs throughout history — all of whom were white men — Gemini sent the Post AI-generated pictures of a Southeast Asian woman and a black man wearing clothes that an actual pope would wear.

The news source also asked the AI chatbot to show the pictures of “the Founding Fathers in 1789″ that also happened to be fake images of black and American Indian people signing what appeared to be a version of the U.S. Constitution. George Washington was also presented by the woke AI chatbot as a black man.

Gemini defended its decision to rewrite history and expose its anti-white bias by saying that it is important to feature “diverse individuals embodying the spirit” of the Founding Fathers, adding that it “aimed to provide a more accurate and inclusive representation of the historical context” of the period.

When Gemini was asked to show pictures of Vikings, the chatbot included fake pictures of a shirtless black man with rainbow feathers attached to his fur garb, a black warrior woman and an Asian man standing in the middle of what appeared to be a desert.

As a result of these kinds of responses, people criticized Google for creating a politically leftist AI chatbot that avoids showing white people.

“We’re working to improve these kinds of depictions immediately. Gemini’s AI image generation does generate a wide range of people. And that’s generally a good thing because people around the world use it. But it’s missing the mark here,” Jack Krawczyk, Google’s senior director of product management for Gemini Experiences, said.

Biden Announces Another $1.2 Billion in Illegal Student Loan Debt Forgiveness

(Headline USA) The Biden administration announced this week it will transfer another $1.2 billion in student-loan debt from more than 150,000 borrowers to taxpayers at large, despite a Supreme Court ruling last year that made clear the executive branch lacks the authority to do so without congressional action.

President Joe Biden plans to sign an executive order, called the Savings on Valuable Education (SAVE) policy, that will redirect debt for borrowers who have been repaying their loans for at least 10 years and still hold $12,000 or less in debt.

“This shortened time to forgiveness will particularly help community college and other borrowers with smaller loans and put many on track to being free of student debt faster than ever before,” the White House said in a statement. “Under the Biden–Harris Administration’s SAVE plan, 85 percent of future community college borrowers will be debt free within 10 years.”

Biden reportedly planned to unveil the executive order in July, but likely sped up the timeline in the hopes that it would boost his approval ratings among young voters as the 2024 election cycle heats up.

The Biden administration has now unilaterally canceled more than $138 billion in federal student loans without Congress’s approval. The bailouts come despite the Supreme Court blocking Biden’s initial debt cancelation plan, which would have cost more than $400 billion.

The White House, however, continues to brag about flouting the Supreme Court’s decision.

“From Day One of his Administration, President Biden vowed to fix the student loan system and make sure higher education is a pathway to the middle class—not a barrier to opportunity,” the White House said.

Congressional Republicans have tried to push back on the Biden administration’s illegal efforts, with the House voting in December to block implementation of another one of Biden’s student-loan debt forgiveness efforts.

The measure from the House would block the Education Department from enacting a rule that would allow borrowers who have earnings of less than $15 per hour to pay $0 on their student loans.

Biden’s Abandoned Dog Attacked Secret Service Agents 24 Times

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden allowed his infamous dog, Commander Biden, to bite Secret Service agents a staggering total of 24 times before expelling him from the White House grounds last year, according to recently revealed documents.

The newly disclosed total tally of incidents did not include previously reported bites, as CNN noted after the release of documents through a Freedom of Information Act request.

The files unveil that the dog menaced White House personnel, instilling fear of potential attacks by Biden’s dog and likely reigning concerns of permissiveness at the Biden White House.

“The recent dog bites have challenged us to adjust our operational tactics when Commander is present – please give lots of room,” a Secret Service agent wrote in a June 2023 email. The same agent, as reported by CNN, urged others to be “creative to ensure” their safety.

In October 2022, a Secret Service technician reportedly expressed concerns that other staff members were “worried about the family pets behavior escalating and that … something worse was going to happen to others.”

Biden eventually expelled the dog in 2023 amid accusations that the enraged president had physically abused the dog. In October 2023, a spokesperson for First Lady Jill Biden confirmed that Commander no longer resided at the people’s house.

“The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work at the White House and those who protect them every day,” the spokesperson claimed at the time, adding that the Bidens were “grateful” for the Secret Service’s patience.

Commander’s aggressive acts followed the expulsion of Biden’s first dog, Major, from the White House, who attacked Secret Service agents on eight consecutive days.

Dr. Robert Malone, a known vaccine critic, assessed the dogs’ behavior and attributed the violence to potential owner abuse.

“This is not normal,” Malone said on Twitter. “Dogs that bite without warning is usually because fear aggression. … Fear aggression is often caused by abuse (for instance, a dog getting physically punished or mistreated).”

Names of Alleged Chiefs Parade Killers Released after Cover-Up Criticism

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Officials on Tuesday released the names of two alleged mass-shooters who terrorized the Kansas City Chiefs’ Feb. 14 Super Bowl victory parade killing one person and hospitalizing 22 others.

Dominic Miller, 18, and Lyndell Mays, 23, were each charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, according to the New York Post.

The relationship between the two suspects remains unknown, although some reports indicated that the shootings may have been gang-related.

“A verbal altercation occurred and gunfire broke out with now regard for thousands of other individuals in the area,” the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office said.

It was also unclear how Miller and Mays obtained their weapons—a question that has become reflexive for leftists trying to capitalize on such crises.

Without knowing whether the assailants had obtained their weapons legally or illegally—and thus, whether the issue was a lack of legislation or the failure to enforce existing legislation—President Joe Biden issued a statement after the tragedy suggesting more regulation was the answer.

“Today’s events should move us, shock us, shame us into acting,” he claimed. “What are we waiting for? What else do we need to see? How many more families need to be torn apart?”

As details about the case unfolded, however, leftist media quickly grew mum, leading members of the public to conclude—accurately—that it the shooting did not fit a narrative that was conducive to the Democrat agenda.

Instead, the silence of media and law-enforcement officials on the matter became glaringly obvious.

For nearly a week, Kansas City police refused to release the names of Miller and May, reportedly because they were “under 18.”

It remains unclear what the actual reason was for suppressing the names of the two adult men.

However, many suggested that the assailants’ race had something to do with it, including right-wing provocateur Ann Coulter, who proffered her theory during an appearance Friday on Real Time With Bill Maher.

“If it were a white male shooting, we’d know,” she argued.

The leftist host, in turn, ridiculed her for having “special powers.”

As outrage over the cover-up built online, Kyle Rittenhouse—who, at the age of 17 faced torment at the hands of government officials after acting in self-defense at the 2020 protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin—weighed in.

“I am trying to comprehend why the government was quick to reveal my name after I defended myself, but they still haven’t released the names of the Kansas City shooters,” he said in a Twitter post early Tuesday, prior to the release of the names.

Other Twitter users pointed to the unforgiving treatment of other young conservatives such as Nick Sandmann, Jaiden Rodriguez and Holden Armenta, all of whom were doxxed and tried in the court of public opinion even though they hadn’t broken any laws.

Sandmann was only 16 years old when his confrontation with Native-American activist Nathan Phillips took place during a March for Life event on Washington, D.C.’s National Mall, where the Kentucky teen was on a field trip with his school. The viral video of the confrontation launching a deluge of inappropriate accusations against the MAGA-hat wearing minor by mainstream media news networks and prominent politicians, some of whom he later sued for defamation.

Administrators at a Colorado school last August were forced to backpedal after expelling the 12-year-old Rodriguez for refusing to remove the Gadsden Flag patch on his backpack. The incident went viral, and Rodriguez also caught a fair amount of flack from the mainstream media for allegedly being a racist, right-wing radical.

And Armenta, a 9-year-old Chiefs fan who went dressed to a game as the team mascot with his face painted in team colors, was accused of wearing blackface by a reporter who deceptively concealed the fact that the other side of his face was painted red.

Desperate Biden May Close Border w/ Power He Claimed He Didn’t Have

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Is President Joe Biden regretting his decision to roll back his predecessor’s strong immigration policies? It certainly seems so.

Biden is contemplating signing some executive orders to rein in the rampant illegal immigration at the southern border. Ironically, among these orders is the potential authorization for the closure of the border—a power he claimed just weeks ago that he did not have.

According to three sources cited by Politico on Wednesday, Biden may utilize a section of the Immigration and Nationality Act to prevent illegal aliens from loosely claiming asylum at non-ports of entry, effectively forcing illegal aliens to enter through official ports.

The contemplated move, effectively shutting down the border for “asylum” applicants, would be tied to a “trigger” that could be activated only after a specific number of border crossings occur, Politico reported.

This “trigger” tool was notably referenced in the border deal supported by the Senate and Biden himself. Democrats, including the president, asserted that the contentious bill would grant the administration the authority to close the border.

“If that bill were the law today, I’d shut down the border right now and fix it quickly,” Biden claimed.

Politico alleged that among the other policies under consideration is the tightening of screening procedures for illegal aliens seeking asylum status.

Headline USA previously reported that Biden was considering potential executive orders in preparation for the State of the Union address scheduled for March 7. With a plethora of growing scandals, the Biden campaign reportedly views the address as a potential reset for the president’s sinking re-election bid.

The potential executive orders directly contradict DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s earlier claims that the administration has done all it could to address the border crisis.

Notably, Mayorkas holds the infamous distinction of being the first cabinet member impeached by the House over false claims to Congress that the border is secured.

Letitia James Says She Will Seize Trump’s Property If He Doesn’t Pay $363M+ Fine

(Headline USA) New York Attorney General Letitia James said this week that she will seek to seize former President Donald Trump’s property in the state if he does not pay a $363 million fine handed down to him in a civil fraud case.

Trump, his two oldest sons and the Trump Organization were all ordered to pay exorbitant fees on Friday after Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that the Republican leader and former Manhattan real-estate mogul inflated his net worth in order to secure more favorable loan terms.

Trump said he plans to appeal the ruling, but James, an elected Democrat, told ABC News she was confident the ruling would stand.

Regardless, he is expected to pay up a portion of the penalty in the short term to an escrow account or else forfeit his material assets.

“If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,” James said.

“So at the end of the day how he pays for the judgment is really not my business,” she added. “At the end of the day, he is responsible and liable for $363 million dollars, plus a hundred million dollars in interest.”

When pressed on the legitimacy of Engoron’s decision, given there were no victims in the civil fraud case, James insisted that Trump was in the wrong.

“Financial frauds are not victimless crimes; he engaged in this massive amount of fraud,” she claimed.

“It wasn’t just a simple mistake, a slight oversight,” she continued. “The variations are wildly exaggerated, and the extent of the fraud was staggering.”

James also pushed back on concerns from the business community that any real estate developer in the state is now at risk of punishment for overestimating the worth of property.

“If average New Yorkers went into a bank and submitted false documents, the government would throw the book at them, and the same should be true for former presidents,” she said.

James, who campaigned in 2018 on a platform of prosecuting then-President Trump, spent years in dogged pursuit of his tax records, colluding with House Democrats, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and an IRS contractor who illegally leaked Trump’s taxes in a sweeping effort to pin fraud charges on him.

After shopping for the perfect judge to try the case, she found her kindred spirit in Engoron, who relied heavily on the notes from his partisan law clerk, Allison Greenfield, while issuing several unprecedented edicts from the bench including a bizarre gag order—something normally reserved only for criminal jury trials.

Engoron—who predetermined Trump’s guilt before the trial—also used his own arbitrary calculations to assess the worth of properties, wildly undervaluing the actual market value of holdings like Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in West Palm Beach, Fla., which the judge calculated at $18 million.

An expert witness in the trial placed its market value at more than $1 billion.

Judge Tosses DOJ’s Case against White Nationalists, Citing Lack of Antifa Prosecutions

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Criticizing the Justice Department for prosecuting right-wing activists while ignoring groups such as Antifa, U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney on Wednesday dismissed the DOJ’s case against two white nationalists who faced charges of planning and engaging in riots at political rallies in 2017.

The white nationalists—Robert Rundo and Robert Boman—were first charged in 2018 after participating in several fights at political rallies, and allegedly plotting to do the same at the 2017 Charlottesville Untie the Right event.

A federal district court dismissed the charges in 2019, finding that the federal Anti-Riot Act violated the First Amendment. However, the Ninth Circuit Appeals Court reversed the decision in 2021 and the charges were reinstated.

Now, Judge Carney, who was appointed by George W. Bush, has dismissed the case again, this time on selective-prosecution grounds.

As Headline USA reported Monday, Rundo and Boman were two of the first people in decades to be charged in the Ninth Circuit with the Anti-Riot Act, or ARA, which makes it a crime to use interstate travel or communications to plan a riot. Rundo filed a motion to dismiss last month, arguing that the DOJ hasn’t prosected Antifa and leftwing groups for the same crimes he was accused of.

In a move that surprised many, Judge Carney agreed with Rundo, granted his motion and ordered him to be released from prison Wednesday.

“The government uses the Anti-Riot Act, a once-rarely-used criminal statute, to prosecute members of the Rise Above Movement (“RAM”), a group of far-right, white supremacist nationalists, who attended several rallies and protests during which they engaged in violent acts,” Judge Carney said in his decision.

“At the same time, the government chose not to prosecute far-left extremist groups, such as Antifa, that went to the same protests and rallies and engaged in the same violent acts as alleged against the Defendants in this case, Robert Rundo and Robert Boman,” the judge added.

“That is constitutionally impermissible. The government cannot prosecute RAM members such as Defendants while ignoring the violence of members of Antifa and related far-left groups because RAM engaged in what the government and many believe is more offensive speech.”

White nationalists were quick to celebrate the judge’s ruling. But they also noted that a previous dismissal was overturned by the 9th Circuit, and that this latest dismissal could very well be overturned again.

Last time the case was dismissed, Rundo left the country and had to be extradited from Romania last year. He had been in jail up until today, and now his supporters are wondering if he’ll leave the country again.

“The government has already filed their notice of appeal. Rundo is under no obligation to remain in the United States,” noted white nationalist and alleged FBI informant Christopher Cantwell.

“It seems unlikely he’ll stay very long if he has the means to leave, but Rundo is on the ‘No Fly List’ and I am not sure by what mechanics he was traveling prior to his arrest.”

Meanwhile, one of Rundo and Boman’s codefendants, Tyler Laube, struck a plea deal last September and is set to be sentenced March 4.

Since Obama Era, 80% of Doctors Have Become Woke Leftists

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Kevin Bass, a doctor who has been canceled for noticing patterns of wokeness in the medical field, offered research showing that the medical field has shifted far leftward at an increasingly rapid rate over the past 20 years.

In December, Bass tweeted the graphical results of a study using Stanford Prof. Adam Bonica’s ideological measurement techniques, which illustrated the political movement of doctors over time based on political contributions.

Bass also published an article on Saturday in the New York Post revealing in more detail the findings of the study.

Measuring the political ideology of doctors, researchers tracked a massive shift from right to left. Formerly, the medical field leaned right by 60%. It now favors the far left by 80%, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Bass’s findings reflected a larger problem concerning the radicalization of America’s universities, which has been underway for decades.

Those in the natural sciences resisted for longer, but eventually capitulated under political and social pressures.

Several catalysts likely played a role in the astounding institutional shift:

  • the pernicious influence of the weaponized Justice and Education departments during the Obama administration, which began threatening to investigate or sue universities that did not fall in line with the White House’s politically correct agenda (something with which many academics were all too happy to comply)
  • the Affordable Care Act’s socialization of the health-care industry, which rewrote Democrats’ adversarial relationship with pharmaceutical companies and turned them into some of Big Pharma’s top lobbying targets
  • the rise of the ESG and lawfare movements, putting activist political pressure on institutions by threatening negative boycotts and other negative exposure in the public sphere, which became a particularly powerful tool with leftist-friendly social-media platforms amplifying their outrage
  • the polarizing impact of COVID-19, which led many conservatives to distrust medical institutions due to the systemic corruption and incompetence of the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, and other government agencies; moreover, hospitals and medical schools mandating deadly COVID vaccines may further ward off those on the political Right.

The so-called racial reckoning in the aftermath of George Floyd’s May 2020 fentanyl overdose gave already woke institutions the cover they needed to openly implement their most controversial policies.

As the Wall Street Journal noted in July of that year, the influential Association of American Medical Colleges rewrote its policies to embrace “diversity, equity and inclusion,” forcing all medical schools seeking accreditation to fall in line.

“America faces a looming and severe doctor shortage as baby boomers retire,” warned the paper’s editorial board. “It won’t help attract prospective doctors to tell top students they must attend to their guilt as racial and political oppressors before they can diagnose your cancer.”

In a two-part series the following year for RealClearInvestigations, journalist John Murawski further shed light on the “dramatic transformation sweeping through the health care profession.”

During the Biden administration, the radicalization in the practice of medicine has only become more pronounced, with a growing number of hospitals nationwide undertaking controversial-yet-lucrative sex-change surgeries for minors.

In January Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine vetoed a bill that would have made the surgeries illegal in his state, arguing that the handful of transgender kids adversely impacted by the bill would have their lives destroyed by the denial of their so-called gender-affirmation.

But records revealed that DeWine had received major campaign funding from pro-trans-surgery medical institutions, including major Ohio hospitals.

And last week, Dante King, an adjunct assistant professor of medical education at the Mayo Clinic’s College of Medicine and Science, publicly argued in a lecture to psychiatry students at the University of California, San Francisco that white people are racist due to their genetic psychopathy.

“White people have economized [b]lack pain, suffering, and genocide throughout every American institution, from the inception of slavery, into the present,” King wrote in a follow-up article.

SCOOP: DOJ Supporting Baby-Killing Inmate’s Lawsuit for Taxpayer-Funded Sex Change

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department filed a court brief Tuesday in support of a lawsuit from transgender inmate Jonathan C. Richardson, who now goes by the name “Autumn Cordellionè” and is serving a 55-year sentence for killing Richardson’s infant stepdaughter.

Richardson, who identifies as an “Islamic-practicing transwoman,” first sued the Indiana Department of Correction last August in federal court after the state passed a law banning prisoners from receiving sexual reassignment surgery. The baby-killer’s lawsuit is being litigated by the American Civil Liberties Union.

ACLU Lawsuit

Richardson and the ACLU seek to have a federal court declare that Indiana’s law is unconstitutional, as well as an order for Richardson to receive a sex change.

“For some persons, including Plaintiff, the surgery is a medical necessity. By prohibiting the surgery, regardless of medical need, the statute mandates deliberate indifference to a serious medical need and therefore violates the Eighth Amendment,” the ACLU said in the lawsuit.

“Additionally, the statute discriminates against Plaintiff and other transgender prisoners in violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution,” the lawsuit said.

Richardson, who was convicted of strangling an 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in 2001, recently filed a sworn declaration in support of the lawsuit. The declaration recounts Richardson’s history.

Richardson’s Declaration

“Although I was assigned the sex of male at birth, I knew I was a girl by the time that I was aged six. I hated my body as I was growing up as I knew it was wrong,” Richardson said in the declaration.

According to the declaration, Richardson only discovered what gender dysphoria is once the baby-killer was incarcerated. Richardson was diagnosed as having gender dysphoria in 2020, and was provided hormone blockers.

Richardson declaration
Richardson declaration

“As a result of these medications, my body has changed. I have developed breasts and my skin has softened,” Richardson said.

But despite receiving medical treatment, Richardson claims to still suffer negative, and at times debilitating, symptoms of gender dysphoria.

“My genitals are an enormous source of anxiety and distress. Not only can I not stand touching them, but I also cannot stand seeing them. I will wear panties in the shower so I do not have to see my genitals and when I wear clothes I attempt to ‘tuck’ my genitals so it does not appear that I have a penis or testicles,” Richardson said.

“At times, I have soiled myself rather than go to the bathroom, as I just do not want to see or deal with my genitals.”

A hearing is set to take place on March 26 to consider the lawsuit’s request for an injunction on Indiana from enforcing its statute that bans sex changes for prisoners.

And now, Richardson and the ACLU have the DOJ supporting them. The DOJ filed a statement of interest Tuesday in support of their motion for an injunction.

DOJ Support

“By prohibiting only those well-established treatments aimed at treating gender dysphoria, while allowing the same surgeries to treat other serious medical needs, HEA 1569 violates equal-protection principles,” the DOJ said in its brief.

“Moreover, the statute forecloses DOC officials from providing gender-affirming surgery where it is medically necessary based on an individualized assessment of medical needs and, as such, amounts to deliberate indifference to a substantial risk of harm from inadequately treated gender dysphoria,” the DOJ added.

“While the United States takes no position on whether Ms. Cordellioné requires such treatment, a blanket ban on this category of care violates the Constitution.”

The DOJ’s support of Richardson follows a similar move in Georgia, where prosecutors filed a brief last month in support of a lawsuit filed by an unnamed inmate against the Georgia Department of Corrections. Details of the inmate’s crimes weren’t included in the filing.

The DOJ also issued a press release last month, explaining its decision to support the inmate’s lawsuit. According to the press release, Doe alleges that the state of Georgia denied adequate medical treatment for gender dysphoria, including gender-affirming surgery that has been recommended by four clinicians and consistent hormone therapy.

“People with gender dysphoria should be able to seek the full protections of the American with Disabilities Act, just like other people with disabilities,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.

Additionally, the DOJ settled a lawsuit last June from a federal inmate—former Neo-Nazi bank robber Pete/Donna Langan—who sued the Bureau of Prisons in late 2021 to obtain a sex change. Langan became the first federal inmate in history to receive a sex change in January 2023, but continued to sue the BOP to also cover facial hair removal surgery.

The details of Langan’s settlement have not been made public.

Congressional Scrutiny

The Biden administration’s push to provide inmates with sex changes and to allow them to reside in female prisons has caught the attention of Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, who pressured BOP Director Colette Peters about the situation at a congressional hearing last November.

At the hearing, Nehls recounted how the Biden administration reversed Trump-era policies, which required the BOP to use biological sex as the initial determinant as to where inmates should be housed. He asked Peters about the implications of this reversal.

“I’m going to prison, and now instead of saying, ‘My name is Troy Nehls,’ I’m going to say, ‘My name is Susie Nehls,’ and I am a woman. And I just make that claim. At what point in time during that spectrum will that allow me then to ‘release the bull into the pen of heifers’?” Nehls asked.

Peters responded that all but 11 inmates are currently in jails based on their biological sex, and that inmates must undergo a “complex, serious evaluation from degreed medical doctors and psychologists” before they can be placed in a female prison.

Peters also said that two inmates have received taxpayer-funded sex changes. But Nehls noted that those two inmates are likely the first of many.

Nehls then asked about Langan, noting that the neo-Nazi’s lawsuit might have paved the way for countless inmates to exploit the system.

“If I’m going to prison for 10 years, I guess I would want to go to prison where the ladies are. Wouldn’t that be a good idea? And if you’re allowing that to take place through this process by talking to these shrinks and these guys, I’m going to convince you I’m a woman,” he said.

“And I’m going to enjoy five years in prison. In fact, half of the guys will probably say, ‘Don’t even release me! I’m having too much fun.’”

Other Richardson Litigation

Meanwhile, Richardson is also suing an Indiana prison chaplain for allegedly refusing her right to wear a hijab before rejecting her identity as a transgender woman, as the New York Post reported Wednesday.

“[I] was told that male Muslims could wear their kufis everywhere they went, but I couldn’t wear my hijab a females religious head ware because I was a male residing in a male institution even though I am a transgender woman, except in my bed area,” Richardson said in that lawsuit, which was filed in federal court last November and which is also being supported by the ACLU.
