Former DNC Chair Complains ‘Nobody Listens’ to Biden When He Speaks

(Headline USA) Former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile complained this weekend that “nobody listens” to President Joe BIden when he makes public remarks, Fox News reported.

The longtime political strategist, who served as campaign manager for then-Vice President Al Gore’s failed 2000 presidential run, was asked during a Sunday appearance on ABC’s This Week whether Biden should deliver a public address on the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine

“Absolutely. Not just in Israel, Ukraine—we are a superpower,” Brazile responded.

“He is the commander-in-chief,” she continued. “Absolutely, he should speak out more.”

However, Brazile claimed that Biden’s reluctance, thus fa, to do so stemmed from the fact that the media was not portraying him seriously.

“And also, we should cover what he’s saying, because often when he speaks, nobody listens,” she said.

Biden has made few public appearances and has interacted with the press far less frequently than his predecessor. In fact, not since former President Ronald Reagan has a president conducted as few press conferences as Biden.

Brazile is not the only Democrat to point out how problematic this strategy could be for Biden. Democratic strategist Paul Begala similarly argued in February that Biden needs to spend more time in front of the cameras, even if that means making more public gaffes.

“I want to see more Joe Biden—the gaffes are built in,” Begala told CNN.

But Biden’s team reportedly has kept a tight leash on the president, hoping to minimize the fall-out from his constant blunders.

This also has been reflected in the Biden campaign’s refusal to commit to a debate between Biden and former President Donald Trump ahead of the general election in November.

Asked in February about Trump’s challenge to debate Biden as soon as possible, Biden responded, “Immediately?”

Biden promptly deflected the question by claiming that Trump, currently fending off multiple leftist lawfare attacks, was issuing the debate challenge out of boredom.

“Well, if I were him, I’d want to debate me, too,” Biden claimed. “He’s got nothing else to do.”

Jemele Hill Accuses The Rock of ‘Cowardice’ For Not Endorsing Biden Again

(Headline USA) Professional race-baiter and sports commentator Jemele Hill accused actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson of “political cowardice” this week after he said he would not endorse President Joe Biden again ahead of November’s election, The Spun reported.

Johnson told Fox News’s Will Cain over the weekend that he regretted endorsing Biden back in 2020, acknowledging that his decision to do so ended up being “divisive.” He also made it clear that he would not endorse Biden—nor any other candidate—this election cycle.

“I wouldn’t do that because my goal is to bring our country together. I believe in that in my DNA,” Johnson said. “In the spirit of that, there’s gonna be no endorsement. Not that I’m afraid of it at all, but it’s just I realize that this level of influence, I’m going to keep my politics to myself. I think it’s between me and the ballot box.”

In response, Hill said Johnson’s explanation was “the most statement non-statement I’ve ever heard” during an interview for “The Dan Le Batard Show” on Monday.

“That’s the kind of, frankly, political cowardice that’s hard to respect,” Hill said.

“I don’t understand how Joe Biden is the divisive one when what he’s running against is pushing bigotry, xenophobia, every other phobia and ‘ism’ you could possibly name,” she continued. “That is what they’re literally campaigning on.”

Hill went on to accuse Johnson of essentially giving his support to “the side that is only pushing division,” referring to former President Donald Trump.

Johnson has not said he supports Trump.

Johnson is not the only celebrity to announce that he will not endorse any candidate in 2024. Rapper Cardi B announced last November that she likewise would not provide an endorsement. She also had endorsed Biden in the 2020 election against former President Donald Trump.

ANOTHER Red State May Boot Biden from Ballot Due to Late Convention

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden encountered yet another obstacle in his tumultuous re-election campaign as Alabama cautioned that he might fail to meet the state’s deadline for filing the delegate count.

Missing such a deadline would result in Biden’s exclusion from the state’s general election ballot.

In a Monday letter addressed to the Alabama Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee, Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen warned that if Democrats proceeded with the convention as scheduled, they risked missing the delegate certification deadline.

The DNC convention is slated for Aug. 19, 2024—four days after the Alabama deadline. In the letter, Allen cautioned that the law mandated the state’s secretary of state to certify the delegates before this date.

“The certificate of nomination must be signed by the presiding officer and secretary of the convention and by the chair of the state executive committee of the political party making the nomination,” Allen wrote, according to Fox News.

Expanding on the potential repercussions of missing the deadline, Allen added: “If this Office has not received a valid certificate of nomination from the Democratic Party following its convention by the statutory deadline, I will be unable to certify the names of the Democratic Party’s candidates for President and Vice President for ballot preparation for the 2024 general election.”

DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, mentioned in Allen’s letter, did not immediately respond to Headline USA’s request for comments. Headline USA extended the opportunity for the chair to explain the committee’s decision in a follow-up story.

Allen’s letter follows a similar warning issued by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose to the DNC on Friday

“The Democratic National Convention is scheduled to convene on August 19, 2024, which occurs more than a week after the August 7 deadline to certify a presidential candidate to the office,” said Paul Disantis, chief legal counsel at the Secretary of State’s office.

Lightfoot Hired to Investigate Dolton, Ill. Mayor at $400 Per Hour

(Matthew Doarnberger, Headline USA) The Board of Trustees in Dolton, Ill., hired former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to investigate their own mayor following serious allegations of corruption, the New York Post reported.

Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard has been accused of misusing taxpayer funds and of retaliating against a business owner who refused to donate to her election campaign.

Lightfoot, who will pocket $400 an hour for her services, faced a litany of similar allegations regarding her impropriety and abuse of power while mayor. That included an alleged effort to ask teachers in city schools to offer extra credit to students who volunteeredwith her failed reelection campaign.

“As someone who has made good governance the cornerstone of my career in public service, I recognize that maintaining the trust of those you serve and making decisions in their best interests is essential,” Lightfoot said in a statement on Monday.

The village trustees have accused Henyard of excessive spending that resulted in Dolton having a deficit of over $5 million.

They also want Lightfoot to investigate a trip to Las Vegas that Henyard claimed was for economic development. The board reported that there was a total failure to report anything related to economic development that occurred during the trip.

In addition to the Las Vegas incident, Henyard allegedly misspent COVID-19 funds, hired contractors without proper bids and overpaid vendors without board approval.

Lightfoot attempted to assure the people of Dolton that hiring her would bring about a positive change to the city’s spending habits.

“The residents of Dolton deserve nothing less than a government that is fully accountable, responsive, transparent, and effective stewards of taxpayer dollars,” she said.

“… Anybody who knows me knows I don’t intimidate easily,” she added. “I will block out the noise, I will follow the facts where they lead me.”

The FBI previously announced that it was investigating Heynard for allegedly retaliating against Lawrence Gardner, owner of a U-Haul rental company, who said city officials had refused to renew his business license and that his business has been raided by Dolton police as a result of his refusal to donate to a civic event.

After getting elected as mayor of Chicago in 2019, Lightfoot failed to qualify for the runoff in 2023 and became the first incumbent mayor not to be reelected in that city since 1983.

Biden Repeats Lie about Being First In His Family to Go to College

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden repeated a lie on Monday that he was the first person in his family to go to college, despite admitting years ago that this claim was not true.

Biden made the comment during a campaign event in Wisconsin, where he touted his latest efforts to illegally forgive millions of dollars in student loan debt, the New York Post reported.

“I, like an awful lot of people in this audience, was the first in my family to go to college and watched my dad struggle to get there,” he said.

It was this lie that helped lead to the dissolution of Biden’s first presidential campaign back in 1987.

His campaign ended after multiple allegations of plagiarism and falsehoods were leveled against the then-U.S. senator. Confronted about the inaccurate claims he had made, Biden admitted to the New York Times that year that members of his mother’s family went to college before he did.

Biden’s own father also attended Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins University for one year, the York Daily Record confirmed in 2020.

And in 2022, Biden admitted in a speech that his maternal grandfather, Ambrose Joseph Finnegan, had been an “All-American football player” for Santa Clara College in California.

“A star athlete, he gained nationwide recognition for his feats while quarterback of the Santa Clara football team,” Biden recalled.

In a statement, however, the White House doubled down on Biden’s lie, saying the president “is proud to be the first Biden to graduate college.”

Biden has made a habit of exaggerating or flat-out fabricating stories from his past in an effort to connect with voters. Even CNN admitted last year that many of the anecdotes Biden shares simply are not true.

One of Biden’s favorite stories, for example, is about a conversation he claims to have had during his vice presidency with an Amtrak conductor named Angelo Negri.

As CNN pointed out in 2021, that conversation could not possibly have happened—because Negri was deceased at the time the conversation would have had to have taken place.

Morgan Wallen Arrested for Allegedly Throwing a Chair at Nashville Police Officers

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Country singer Morgan Wallen faced arrest for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct in Nashville on Sunday night, according to Good Morning America.

The 30-year-old Music Row bad boy was booked on two counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for throwing a chair from the rooftop of the newly constructed Chief’s Bar, just two blocks south of the legendary Ryman Auditorium in the city’s popular Broadway entertainment district.

The chair landed close to two on-duty police officers, resulting in the pair of reckless endangerment charges, the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a Twitter post.

Witness statements indicated that Wallen threw the chair over the railing of an open balcony of the six-storey building onto the concrete below.

The chair hit the ground about 3 feet away from the officers, who promptly entered the establishment to investigate the cause.

Cameras at the bar provided footage of Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof. It then showed an object flying off the roof” according to court documents.

Wallen reportedly tossed the chair after learning that the mother of his child, Katie “KT” Smith, had eloped with another man five days after their surprise engagement, the Daily Mail reported.

Wallen’s legal team assured reporters that Wallen was “cooperating fully with authorities.”

His bail was $15,250. If convicted, he may face up to 15 years in prison.

Wallen previously dodged cultural cancellation after a leaked video showed him drunkenly shouting the n-word during a private party.

The racist pejorative did not appear to be directed at a black person or in reference to one, and Wallen did not use the hard -er at the end, suggesting he was using it in a more generic fashion.

His record label, Big Loud Records, and his talent agency subsequently dropped him from their lineups.

However, Wallen’s fans rallied behind him, launching him to the top of the 2021 music charts, ahead of artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Adele and Kanye West.

After the incident, Wallen went on to win the Academy of Country Music’s best album award for his Dangerous: The Double Album.

Party of Science: Dem. Congresswoman Says Moon Is Made of Gas

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D–Texas, recently told teenagers at an eclipse-viewing event on Apr. 8, 2024, that the moon was made up of “gases” and that she still wants to be among the first people who live there.

Jackson Lee, 74, gave a speech to a crowd of teenage students outside of Houston’s Booker T. Washington High School, during which she made several scientifically dubious comments ahead of the celestial phenomenon, according to the Daily Wire.

“You’ve heard the word ‘full moon.’ Sometimes you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon is that completely rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases. And that’s why the question is why or how could we as humans live on the moon? Are the gases such that we could do that?” she said.

After asking her rhetorical questions, Jackson Lee continued her speech.

“The sun is a mighty powerful heat, but it’s almost impossible to go near the sun. The moon is more manageable. And you will see in a moment — not a moment, you will see in a couple of years, that NASA is going back to the moon,” she said.

Additionally, the politician claimed that the moon gave off “unique light and energy” and gave an even stranger description of why the solar eclipse was happening, the news source reported.

“I don’t think we’ve been on the moon the last 50 years. So we will be landing on the moon. What you’ll see today will be the closest distance that the moon has ever been in the last 20 years. Which means that’s why they will shut the light down because they will be close to the Earth,” she said.

Jackson Lee then talked about how she wanted to be among the first people who would live on the moon.

“I don’t know about you, [but] I want to be first in line to know how to live and to be able to survive on the moon. That’s another planet which we’re going to see shortly,” she said.

Leftist Mag: Trump’s Lawfare Cases Are Helping His Campaign Stay on Message

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Leftist lifestyle magazine Vanity Fair published an article focused on former President Donald Trump’s third presidential campaign, expressing horror at its competence and effectiveness.

Author Gabriel Sherman’s breathless article attempted to caricature Trump as a vengeful, wanna-be dictator, desperate to retake the presidential office and fearful of going to prison.

Sherman also provided a litany of quotes from disgruntled former White House employees, including former Attorney General Bill Barr and former presidential candidate Chris Christie.

“He is the domestic terrorist of the 21st century,” said former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, who held the position with the Trump administration for 10 days before his dismissal.

Another gripe leveled at Trump was the alleged opposition of his daughter Ivanka’s marriage to Jared Kushner and her subsequent conversion to Judaism.

Citing an anecdote told by Christie—who refused to comment directly for the story—Sherman claimed that Trump had even asked the former New Jersey prosecutor ahead of the couple’s 2009 nuptials if he could offer up any dirt on the Kushner family that Trump might use to dissuade Ivanka.

However, the intended hit piece reluctantly conceded that the lawfare attacks intended to derail Trump’s campaign with 88 criminal felony charges and hundreds of millions of dollars in fines and fees, had not only won the GOP leader greater sympathy among voters, but had also forced him to become more disciplined, resulting in the opposite effect.

Sherman acknowledged that Trump had tightened up his 2024 campaign in order to guard against the continual barrage of lawsuits and protect his operations from potentially bad actors.

“President Trump knows who can deliver and who can’t,” said Jason Miller, Trump’s senior campaign adviser and former GETTR CEO. “The backstabbers who were around in 2016 won’t be in this next White House.”

Altogether, even Democrats admitted that Trump’s 2024 campaign team was a highly efficient, air-tight operation, at least in part due to legal distractions in Washington D.C., New York, Florida and Georgia.

“Whether through enhanced discipline or legal circumstance, it appears more likely that a second Trump administration would be better primed to achieve its goals,” Sherman said. “As John Kelly, Trump’s longest serving chief of staff, simply warned: ‘God help us.’ God help us indeed.”

Infamous Democrat Suggests Exempting Black Americans from Taxes — Then Issues Disclaimer

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, faced criticism on Tuesday after an interview surfaced in which she advocated for reparations for black Americans in a rather unconventional and even contradictory manner.

In the interview, Crockett argued in favor of exempting certain black Americans from tax obligations as a form of reparations. However, she also seemed to contradict herself by dismissing the idea, noting that some impoverished black individuals don’t pay taxes.

“Just this past week, I saw—I don’t remember which celebrity… one of the things that they proposed was black folk don’t have to pay taxes for a certain amount of time,” she stated in the interview. “But at the same time, it might not be as objectionable to some people about actually giving out dollars.”

The video, originally posted by the conservative meme account End Wokeness, has garnered nearly 900,000 views. Although the date and source of the original video remain unknown, Crockett has previously voiced support for reparations for black Americans in confirmed interviews.

In the undated interview, Crockett suggested that providing reparations through tax breaks might not adequately address the apparent needs of black individuals in lower tax brackets, who she claimed did not pay taxes.

“If you do the ‘No Tax’ thing, for people that are already, say, struggling and aren’t really paying taxes in the first place, it doesn’t really,” Crockett began before being interrupted by the interviewer.

Echoing Crockett’s sentiments, the interviewer proposed that some of those individuals not paying taxes “might want those checks.” Crockett concurred, stating, “exactly!”

Crockett’s press office did not immediately respond to Headline USA’s questions about the video and whether the congresswoman still believed that some black Americans don’t pay taxes.

The emergence of the video coincides with heightened scrutiny from conservatives and Republicans over Crockett’s defense of President Joe Biden.

In 2023, Crockett gained viral attention during a hearing on the impeachment inquiry of Biden, where she notably asserted that the president’s only crime was “loving his child unconditionally.”

Instead, she directed criticism toward former President Donald Trump over charges brought forth by Special Counsel Jack Smith, an appointee of the Biden administration, regarding alleged mishandling of classified documents.

“These are our national secrets, looks like in the s***ter to me,” she claimed while pointing to photos of Mar-a-Lago.

Before joining the House after the 2022 midterm election, Crockett worked as an attorney and served as a Texas House of Representatives member. She has been a vocal advocate for reparations and for the repeal of the Senate filibuster to facilitate the passage of such measures.

UK’s David Cameron Meets w/ Trump in Fla. to Beg Support for Ukraine Funding

(Headline USA) British Foreign Secretary David Cameron delivered what may be the first official state visit of former President Donald Trump’s second presidential term as globalists raised the temperature on their rhetoric to solicit $60 billion in additional funding that has been blocked by House Republicans.

The U.K. government said it was “standard practice” for government ministers to meet allied nations’ opposition leaders in election years.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken met in February with U.K. Labour Party leader Keir Starmer, who is the favorite to become prime minister in an election later this year. When Cameron was prime minister in 2012, he met the then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Despite having previously made personally disparaging comments about Trump’s character, the Tory leader arrived hat-in-hand desperate to urge the presumptive GOP presidential nominee to use his sway within the party.

Trump reportedly remained skeptical as Cameron headed onward to press press senior Republicans directly in Washington, D.C.

The U.K.’s Foreign Office confirmed the meeting with Trump, which was described as “productive.” However, British officials did not further elaborate on the meeting went.

Cameron and Trump have had several notable differences of opinion in the past. Cameron called Trump’s proposal during his first presidential campaign to ban Muslims from the U.S. “divisive, stupid and wrong.”

Cameron was British prime minister during the U.K.’s 2016 referendum on whether to leave the European Union—a move he opposed but Trump enthusiastically supported. Cameron resigned after voters narrowly rejected his call to remain in the bloc.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak unexpectedly brought Cameron back into government last year as Britain’s top diplomat.

Some have argued that the amassing of U.S. equipment and, potentially, troops at the Ukrainian border, with the country essentially facing a stalemate in its war against Russia, is intended rather to distract Russian President Vladimir Putin and to drain his military resources as analysts fear a potentially more serious military action by Russia-allied China.

However, with voters in the dark about the true military objectives, Republicans would likely face serious electoral backlash from their constituents if they supported further American involvement in the regional boondoggle.

The lack of oversight concerning Ukraine funding and the country’s reputation for corruption and election-meddling make hawkish claims that the operation is about defending Ukrainian “democracy” an even harder sell.

Cameron maintained that “success for Ukraine and failure for Putin are vital for American and European security” in a statement ahead of his trip.

“This will show that borders matter, that aggression doesn’t pay and that countries like Ukraine are free to choose their own future,” he said. “The alternative would only encourage Putin in further attempts to re-draw European borders by force, and would be heard clearly in Beijing, Tehran and North Korea.”

While in Washington, Cameron planned to hold talks with lawmakers including Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., but he had no scheduled meeting with House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., whose support is vital to the spending bill.

In a video posted last week on Twitter, Cameron said: “Speaker Johnson can make it happen in Congress.”

In February, however, he stuck his foot in his mouth by likening GOP holdouts to those who sought to appease Nazi Germany prior to World War II and urging them not to show “the weakness displayed against Hitler” in the 1930s.

Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., addressed those comments on Saturday, saying Cameron “needs to worry about his own country—and, frankly, he can kiss my a**.”

In talks with officials including Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Cameron was also due to discuss the Israel—Hamas war, including efforts to reach a “sustainable cease-fire” and get more aid into Gaza.

The U.K. is sending a Royal Navy ship to the eastern Mediterranean to bolster efforts to open a maritime aid corridor between Cyprus and a temporary U.S.-built pier in Gaza.
