Biden Throws Hollywood Pal George Clooney Under the Bus

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) It’s fair to say that the relationship between President Joe Biden and his Hollywood donor George Clooney wasn’t all sunshine and roses.

On Wednesday, the White House hit back at Clooney after the Hollywood actor penned an op-ed for the New York Times calling for Biden’s exit from the 2024 presidential race.

In June, The two were seen together at a multi-million-dollar fundraiser for the Biden campaign in Los Angeles. In the op-ed, Clooney admitted to witnessing a weak and aging Biden at the event.

However, according to CNN on Wednesday, the Biden White House is now suggesting that Clooney appeared diminished at the fundraiser, contrasting Biden’s hours-long attendance with Clooney’s early departure.

A Biden official said, “George Clooney left three hours before the president,” according to CNN reporter Kayla Tausche in a segment with anchor Jake Tapper.

“Clearly, the gloves are off,” Tausche told Tapper.

Tapper, seemingly baffled by the White House’s line of defense, asked the reporter to clarify the point of such claims. “What does that mean that George left early?” he asked.

“The point to that is that Biden’s stamina is better than Clooney’s and Clooney didn’t have eyes on the entire event. That’s the response to the Clooney op-ed,” Taushe added.

The White House’s odd pushback came after Clooney joined a growing chorus of Democrats begging Biden to step down as the presumptive nominee for president.

Fueling Democrats’ concerns is that Biden is too diminished to defeat former President Donald Trump’s popular campaign. Biden’s cognitive decline, known for years among Republicans, was on full display during the CNN presidential debate.

“It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010,” Clooney wrote. “He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.”

Tellingly, the actor’s admission that Biden appeared diminished during the fundraiser comes after the legacy media and the White House accused Republicans of spreading “cheap fake” videos of Biden looking confused during the event.

Concluding the op-ed, Clooney wrote, “Joe Biden is a hero; he saved democracy in 2020. We need him to do it again in 2024.”

So far, these op-eds and public outcries have been unsuccessful, as the scandal-plagued president has declared that only the “Lord Almighty” could force him out of the race.

A Sucker for Love? Soros Goes on His Knees for Engagement w/ Ex-Weiner Lover

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) It’s official: Huma Abedin and Alex Soros are engaged, just months after making their relationship public.

Abedin, an infamous aide to Hillary Clinton, and Alex Soros, son of leftist billionaire George Soros, announced their engagement on Instagram Wednesday.

“This happened…we couldn’t be happier, more grateful, or more in love,” Soros wrote, sharing a photo of him on one knee while holding Abedin’s hand.

Abedin’s engagement with Soros comes after years of drama, headlines, and political embarrassments involving Clinton and her infamous former husband, Anthony Weiner.

Weiner, a former congressman, resigned in disgrace in 2011 after posting a near-nude photo on Twitter.

He plotted a comeback in 2013 by running for New York City mayor, before he was hit with fresh allegations of sharing more nude photos to several women.

In 2016, Weiner was investigated by the FBI for sending sexual texts to a 15-year-old girl.

During the probe, emails tied to Clinton’s investigation were found on his seized laptop. He pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor and was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison. Shortly thereafter, Abedin filed for divorce.

For his part, Alex Soros has been embroiled in controversies since inheriting his father’s empire, infamously known for bankrolling radical leftist candidates, including progressive district attorneys, according to the Media Research Center.

The couple made their relationship public on Valentine’s Day, sharing dinner together in France. According to Page Six, Soros proposed six weeks ago, and the couple recently celebrated in Italy.

“The best way I can describe the relationship is effortless,” a longtime friend of Abedin told the outlet. “After a lot of tumultuous years for Huma, she’s relaxed and happy and in love.”

As reported by the news outlet, Abedin a Soros met through a mutual friend.

Top Dem. Dark Money Org.’s Donations Skyrocket to Over $120M in One Year

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) One of the top far-left and pro-Democratic dark money organizations has experienced massive growth, with donations recently surging to over $120 million, tax forms obtained by the Daily Wire revealed.

The Washington D.C.-based organization, Majority Forward, raked in $122 million in tax year 2022, the organization’s IRS form 990 showed. This was a massive increase from the tax year 2021, when the 501(c)(4) organization had just $75 million in revenue, the news source reported. In addition to that, the 2022 figure also surpassed the organization’s revenue of $108 million in 2020.

Tax designation of the organization allows it to raise and spend an unlimited amount of money without disclosing the names of its donors. Majority Forward’s 2022 IRS form listed 125 anonymous donors with their donations. Contributions ranged from lows of $10,000 and $15,000 to astonishing highs of $10 million and $12 million.

Parker Thayer, an Investigative Researcher at the Capital Research Center, thinks that it is proof of Democrats fully embracing “dark money.”

“We can expect that the group’s fundraising will increase even more in 2024. Even though tax forms have a two-year delay in reporting, campaign finance disclosures show that Majority Forward has already moved nearly $40 million to Democrat-aligned Super PACs during the first half of the 2024 cycle,” he said.

The organization’s sizable increase in revenue could result in it becoming a key player in the upcoming election.

Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., and Sent. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, are both facing significant competition that could threaten the Democrats’ slim majority in the Senate.

“Majority Forward is enormously influential, even for a dark money group. We’re talking about a $100 million group that is run by the head of, and generously funds, the Senate Majority PAC, which is Chuck Schumer’s super PAC. It’s very hard to get more influential than that. The group doesn’t have a wide network, and it doesn’t spread around its money much, but it sends enormous checks to the groups that count; groups that move money into every election, up and down the ballot, across the country,” Thayer said.

85,000 ‘Unaccompanied Minors’ Went Missing After Biden Admin. Left Them w/ Sponsors

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Multiple government whistleblowers revealed that at least 85,000 children who crossed the border illegally as “unaccompanied minors” were lost by the Department of Human Services (DHS) after they were given to their “sponsors” who may be trafficking the children into prostitution or forced labor.

Whistleblowers assigned to process minors near the southern border said that children were being placed with people who clearly were not their relatives, the Daily Wire reported. In addition to that, they said there was also evidence of abuse and trafficking.

One of the whistleblowers said that after a group alerted supervisors to the fact that children were being placed with strangers and that there was evidence of sadistic abuse, the Biden administration’s DHS Office of Refugee Resettlement took her off the job and retaliated against her, instead of solving the discovered problem.

The Biden administration shoveled children out to the homes of poorly vetted volunteers as fast as it could, the news source reported. It was revealed that the reason why that was done was because the corrupt administration didn’t want to keep the children in the infamous “kids in cages” facilities to avoid bad optics.

It was also discovered that 500,000 children were flown or bussed to the homes of people who were sometimes strangers to the children. To do that, the Biden administration loosened rules on background checks, with the DHS just checking if children were fine by having a single phone call with a sponsor 30 days later. Unfortunately, many of the children could not be reached by that time because they were missing.

“[This] is the biggest failure of government that I have ever witnessed… I plead with you to give these exploited children a fighting chance. This [is] taxpayer-funded slavery and child trafficking,” one of the whistleblowers said.

Iran Pays Anti-Israel Protesters as Part of U.S. Propaganda Campaign Before 2024 Election

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Iranian government is organizing and paying American Jew-hating protesters as part of a foreign influence campaign meant to sow division across the United States right before the 2024 election.

“Iranian government actors have sought to opportunistically take advantage of ongoing protests regarding the war in Gaza, using a playbook we’ve seen other actors use over the years. We have observed actors tied to Iran’s government posing as activists online, seeking to encourage protests, and even providing financial support to protesters,” Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines wrote in a rare public statement.

Iranian hackers successfully broke into a municipal system that published election results and engaged in disinformation campaigns meant to sway the results of those elections in 2020.

This year, the Islamic regime is implementing a similar playbook by using nationwide unrest over the war between Israel and Hamas to embolden anti-Israel activists who have been violently campaigning against Israel for the last nine months, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

“Iran is becoming increasingly aggressive in their foreign influence efforts, seeking to stoke discord and undermine confidence in our democratic institutions, as we have seen them do in the past, including in prior election cycles. They continue to adapt their cyber and influence activities, using social media platforms and issuing threats,” Haines said.

DNI also stated that Iran “will continue to rely on their intelligence services in these efforts, as well as Iran-based online influencers, to promote their narratives.”

In March of this year, DNI said that Iran and other nations have the capabilities and desire to “conduct influence operations” meant to interfere in the upcoming presidential election.

“In the wake of Hamas’s horrifying attack on Israel on October 7, the terrorist group is once again seeking to shape the information environment to create international pressure that compels Israel to stop its operations before achieving its objectives. Reliance on influence operations is straight out of the playbook of Hamas’s chief benefactor: Iran,” the Jewish Institute for the National Security of America, a think tank, said in October 2023.

Prominent Conservative Legal Experts Urge ‘Counter-Lawfare’ at D.C. Conference

(Elias Irizarry, Headline USA) As Republicans across the country are threatened with arrests and legal action for their involvement in the campaign of former President Donald Trump and other right-wing causes, prominent conservative scholars gathered this week to introduce the concept of “revenge lawfare.”

They met under the banner of the National Conservatism conference, organized by the Edmund Burke Foundation in Washington D.C., in a panel labeled “Lawfare: the Criminalization of Politics.”

Several notable figures sought to address a question on many conservatives’ minds: How do Republicans grapple with the growing use of the legal system as a means of political warfare?

Among them was John Eastman, a former Trump attorney and current Fulton County co-defendant.

In addition to becoming a target of Fani Willis’s sweeping attempt to reclassify 2020 election challenges as a racketeering conspiracy, Eastman—a legal scholar at the Claremont Institute and former candidate for California attorney general—was indicted by leftist Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, and he was recently disbarred in the State of California.

“You have to understand we’re in a war,” Eastman said in response to an audience question about how other conservatives might hope to avoid similar fates.

The short answer, Eastman said, was they can’t.

“We don’t even have a country if George Washington and Sam Adams and them didn’t stand up,” he noted about the need to be ready for sacrifice. “They can’t be summer soldiers and sunshine patriots—only conservative when there’s not a cost to pay.”

John Yoo, former deputy assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel during the George W. Bush administration, as well as a professor of law at the University of California-Berkeley, opened the panel by introducing the concept of “counter-lawfare” as a means to restore the broken judicial system.

Yoo argued that in the United States’s nearly 250 years of existence, the country had largely avoided the slippery slope of utilizing the Department of Justice for political purposes.

Yet with the Obama and Biden administration having taken that undeniable step, there was no reversing course. The only way to halt it was to hold accountable those who were responsible, even if it meant responding in kind.

“We’ve never crossed this Rubicon of using prosecution to achieve our political ends,” Yoo said, referring to the prosecution of Trump and his allies. “The only way to get deterrence, when one side has crossed the Rubicon, is to be as tough on the other side as they’ve been on you.”

The panel proposed the creation of a sort of “mutually assured destruction” principle in lawfare. In essence, Republican district attorneys and other prosecutors must reciprocate left-wing lawfare with similar charges against Democrats mirroring those to which blue states like New York have subjected Trump and his allies.

The panel alluded to Willis’s prosecution of Trump aides using RICO charges, which were created to combat the influence of the Mafia by allowing the designation of certain groups as “criminal enterprises.” By the Left’s use of the statute, they have designated the entire Trump presidential campaign as a criminal enterprise, and the same can now be done against Democratic campaigns.

“You have to retaliate against them in exactly the same way until you get some deterrence,” Yoo stated. “If we’re not going to become a banana republic, unfortunately, we’re going to have to use banana republic means.”

Two speakers—Mike Howell, executive director of the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, and Will Chamberlain of the Internet Accountability Project—noted the colossal failure of conservatives to stand by their own in the aftermath of Jan. 6.

The two argued that the conservative legal movement sought instead to capitalize on the misfortune of arrestees—saddling defendants with debt instead of supporting them.

“The conservative movement’s legal response to Jan. 6 victims was profit maximization,” Howell said.

“They charged exorbitant legal fees for young staffers caught in the crosshairs and facing $10k in charges just for being present on Jan. 6,” he added. “A movement cannot survive much longer if criminal defense is that expensive.”

The panel noted the support that Democrats have provided to their own activists in the past, especially following the Black Lives Matter riots in 2020, when Vice President Kamala Harris raised money for the bail of rioters.

Dem. Senator Predicts Trump Will Win in a Landslide

(Headline USA) Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., predicted this week that former President Donald Trump will win the November election “in a landslide” with President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.

Bennet stopped short of publicly calling on Biden to abandon his reelection bid, but told CNN on Tuesday that the direction of the race with Biden in it is now “very worrisome.”

He pointed out that, at this point in past races, such as in 2020 and 2016, the Democrat candidates were up by significant margins.

“This is the first time in more than 20 years that a Republican president has been up in this part of the campaign,” Bennet said. “Donald Trump is on track, I think, to win this election, and maybe win it by a landslide, and take with him the Senate and the House.”

As of Wednesday morning, Trump was leading Biden in the national polling average by 3.3%, according to RealClearPolitics.

Bennet went on to argue that Biden’s campaign had not done a sufficient job of convincing voters, including those in the Democratic Party, that Biden couldn win.

“The White House in the time since that disastrous debate, I think, has done nothing to really demonstrate that they have a plan to win this election, that they have a convincing plan to win in the battleground states, where we have to win, in order to win this election,” Bennet said.

Biden’s team needed to “address the concerns of the American people, not ignore them,” he added.

When asked directly if he thought Biden should step down, Bennet said it would be “important” for Democrats to “have an open, honest debate about what the future is going to hold for our party.”

Bennet is not the first Democrat to predict a Trump victory in November. Last week, Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, similarly warned that Biden won’t be able to beat Trump, but emphasized that he didn’t think that was a problem.

“The outcome of this election has been clear to me for months: While I don’t plan to vote for him, Donald Trump is going to win. And I’m OK with that,” Golden said.

Alec Baldwin’s New Reality Show Preparing For Him to Go to Jail

(Headline USA) Producers for a new reality television show featuring Alec Baldwin and his family are preparing for the possibility that the actor might have to go to jail for fatally shooting a woman on the set of Rust.

The Baldwins—starring Alec and his wife, Hilaria—is set to premiere in 2025 on TLC.

Two sources with knowledge of the show said it will cover the fallout of the Rust shooting, including Alec Baldwin’s trial for involuntary manslaughter in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which began on Tuesday.

“The Baldwins signed the deal while Alec was already dealing with his legal issues,” a TLC source said, according to the New York Post. “Everyone knew then—and knows now—that the trial could be part of the storyline. The show will still premiere in 2025.”

Baldwin’s trial is expected to last 10 days. He faces up to 18 months in jail if convicted.

When Alec and Hilaria Baldwin announced the show last month, they said it would focus on their home life with their seven children.

However, that could very well change if Alec Baldwin lands himself in jail.

“Alec and Hilaria were willing to open their lives for the show, no matter where their lives lead,” the TLC insider said. “If he’s convicted and spends time in jail, that will be part of the show. And if not, then his acquittal and the aftermath will be part of the show.”

Alec Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter for his role in the shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the film’s set. His conviction could depend entirely on whether he pulled the trigger of the prop gun that day—something he has repeatedly denied doing.

Prosecutors, however, have argued that Baldwin irresponsibly handled the .45-caliber cowboy gun at Hutchins before firing it.

Pelosi Issues Passive-Aggressive Warning to Biden: ‘Time Is Running Short’

(Headline USA) Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., passive-aggressively declined to endorse President Joe Biden’s reelection bid this week amid growing calls from within her party for the 81-year-old incumbent to drop out.

“It’s up to the president to [decide] if he is going to run,” Pelosi told MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Wednesday when asked if she supported Biden staying in the 2024 race. “We are all encouraging him to make that decision, because time is running short.”

As interviewer Jonathan Lemire was quick to note, Biden has several times said unequivocally that he intends to remain in the race, including a written letter to congressional Democrats that he sent on Monday.

Thus, Pelosi’s apparent confusion over his decision indicated that she was, in fact, fishing for a different answer.

Some suggested that the shift in tone signaled that the former House speaker was preparing to unload Biden like an underperforming stock, despite her insistence that she had his back should he choose to stay in the race.

Pelosi added that Bien is “beloved, he’s respected, and people want him to make that decision.” She also suggested that she’s told her Democratic colleagues to “hold off” on stating their opinions publicly about Biden staying in the race, although she made it clear in every other way that it was Biden’s time that was running short.

Pressed again on which option she would prefer as one of the Democratic Party’s top leaders, Pelosi replied, “I want him to do whatever he decides to do. And that’s the way it is. Whatever he decides, we go with.”

In a statement after Pelosi’s MSNBC interview, her spokesman, Ian Kragar, clarified that she “fully supports whatever President Biden decides to do. We must turn our attention to why this race is so important: Donald Trump would be a disaster for our country and our democracy.”

Although Biden said he is “firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump,” he has not eased Democrats’ concerns that he might cost them the 2024 election all the way down the ballot.

“Donald Trump is on track, I think, to win this election and maybe win it by a landslide and take with him the Senate and the House,” Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet, Colo., said on Tuesday.

French Leftist Begin Targeting Political Rivals after Shock Parliamentary Win

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As the center-left party in France led by President Emmanuel Macron allies itself with far-left communists against right-wingers, they have now moved to conduct lawfare against their political opponents, Euro News reported.

In the wake of its recent victory at the polls, the left-center alliance in France is pressing to persecute Marine Le Pen’s party, which just placed third in the shocking French parliamentary elections despite that party being the largest in the country.

According to the accusations, Le Pen and the National Rally Party are guilty of campaign finance missteps.

A Reuters report suggests that the Paris prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday that it had launched a preliminary probe into Le Pen’s alleged illegal financing of her 2022 campaign against Macron.

The probe will reportedly investigate allegations of embezzlement, forgery and fraud.

But Le Pen and the National Rally Party are not the only people on the right being targeted by Macron and his comrades for vague allegations of campaign-finance abuse.

Recently, former supermodel and first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy was accused of pressuring a witness who accused her husband, ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy, of receiving illegal campaign funding in an accusation going all the way back to 2007.

Bruni-Sarkozy was put under judicial supervision Tuesday, banning all contact between her and others involved in the case’s proceedings in the coming days.

Bruni is accused of participating in a criminal association with an attempt to commit fraud or deceive magistrates. She allegedly tried to pressure witness Ziad Takieddine, who accused Sarkozy of taking millions in illegal payments from then-Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi.

Sarkozy was France’s president from 2007 to 2012. He has been accused of spending more money than is permitted by French law in a 2012 race against eventual socialist victor, François Hollande.

The move mirrors what President Joe Biden and his Department of Justice have been doing in America over the past several years as they attempt to target former President Donald Trump with politicized lawsuits.

Brazil’s leftist government has also used its legal system to neutralize right-wing leader Jair Bolsonaro, who was recently accused of receiving bribes and had already been banned from running for a considerable amount of time by the nation’s corrupt judges, on the basis of claims that he tried to overthrow the 2022 election. In reality, the opposite appears to be true.

Le Pen, whose right-wing party unexpectedly gained seats in recent elections for the European Union parliament, performed exceptionally well in the first round of voting for the French snap election that Macron called in response to that political upset.

However, she and her party faced a stunning defeat in the second round, falling from first to third place, after the two major leftist groups. The prospect of seeing the National Rally Party take over the government had resulted in mass riots throughout France as radical leftist groups vandalized property and committed acts of theft and arson in protest.
