Hunter Biden Says Country Should Thank His Dad

(Headline USA) Hunter Biden said the country owes its gratitude to his father, President Joe Biden, after the 81-year-old ended his reelection bid on Sunday.

The controversial first son, who was convicted on multiple felony charges last month, has been a central figure in Joe Biden’s presidency, even serving as one of the president’s informal advisers, according to those close to the family.

“For my entire life, I’ve looked at my dad in awe,” Hunter said in a statement on Monday, according to Politico.

“How could he suffer so much heartache and yet give so much of whatever remained of his heart to others?” added the convicted felon. “Not only in the policies he passed, but in the individual lives he’s touched.”

Hunter went on to insist that everything about his father was authentic, although many have accused the president of being a serial liar and embellisher.

“He is unique in public life today, in that there is no distance between Joe Biden the man and Joe Biden the public servant of the last 54 years,” Hunter claimed.

“I’m so lucky every night I get to tell him I love him, and to thank him,” he added. “I ask all Americans to join me tonight in doing the same. Thank you, Mr. President. I love you, Dad.”

Joe Biden claimed last month that he would not pardon Hunter Biden after Hunter’s felony conviction in Delaware last month, but sources close to the president said he likely will do so before leaving office.

Several other Biden family members issued statements praising Joe Biden for stepping down, describing him as a “hero” and patriot.

“Not only has he been—and will continue to be—the most effective president of our lifetime, but he has likely already cemented himself as the most effective and impactful public servant in our nation’s history,” posted Naomi Biden, the eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle.

First lady Jill Biden, however, opted for a single heart emoji instead of a statement.

It was Jill and Hunter who had reportedly urged Biden to stay in the race, despite growing demands from within the Democratic Party for him to step aside.

But over the past week, the pressure from top Democrat leaders, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., became too great for the 81-year-old, according to the New York Post.

Caravan of Illegals Rushing to U.S. Border Before November’s Election

(Headline USA) A caravan comprising more than 3,000 immigrants are heading toward the southern border in an attempt to enter the U.S. illegally before November’s election.

The illegal immigrants from a dozen Latin American nations are worried that former President Donald Trump will take office again, according to the New York Post.

“We are running the risk that permits [to cross the border] might be blocked,” Salvadoran migrant Miguel Salazar said, referring to President Joe Biden’s illegal parole program, which allows so-called asylum seekers to book appointments through the Customs and Border Protection app before they arrive at the border.

Salazar said that “everyone” in the caravan planned to claim asylum that way.

He also rejected arguments by open-borders opponents that illegal immigrants should be stopped from pouring into the U.S.

“We are not delinquents,” he claimed, without evidence. “We are hard-working people who have left our country to get ahead in life, because in our homeland we are suffering from many needs.”

Trump has vowed to spearhead the largest deportation crackdown in U.S. history if elected, citing the uptick in crime and massive strain on financial resources that the Biden administration’s wave of illegal immigration has brought into the U.S.

“Given the unprecedented millions of Biden illegal aliens who are invading our country, it is only common sense that when I’m re-elected, we will begin—and we have no choice—the largest deportation operation in American history,” he said earlier this month. “We will have to.”

The illegal immigrant crisis will likely be a continued hot point in the presidential race, especially if Democrats nominate Vice President Kamala Harris, who was appointed to be Biden’s “border czar,” to replace Biden at the top of the 2024 ticket.

Willie Brown for VP? Kamala’s Ex-Lover Jokes About 2024 Run

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown jokingly suggested he is running for president following Kamala Harris’s elevation as the presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

Brown made these remarks after being approached by reporters outside a San Francisco restaurant on Monday. He has recently trended due to the resurfacing of his affair with Harris in the late 1990s.

“Who are you people? What are you doing here?” Brown jestingly asked reporters, prompting one to reply that Brown was popular, according to the San Francisco Standard.

Brown quipped in response, “You think so? Then I’m announcing my candidacy.” He added, “No! I will never be second! Not only that, you know I’m too old. They got rid of the old guy!”

In a separate interview with San Francisco’s KRON-TV, Brown offered positive remarks for Harris, calling her the only candidate who can defeat Trump.

Brown’s puns came after President Joe Biden exited the 2024 race, following what has been widely criticized as a “coup d’état” within his own party. Biden endorsed Harris, his unpopular vice president, as his replacement.

In response to this shocking development, Brown suggested that Biden should resign to boost Harris’s chances in the general election.

“I hope all those Democrats who’ve been pushing Biden to quit will now show up and ring doorbells with me,” he stated.

He continued, “I hope all those people that on the Democratic side for the last three months have allowed a poor performance out of a debate to distract them … will now no longer be distracted.”

Harris and Brown dated in the 1990s when he was the Speaker of the California State Assembly. He was married to Blanche Vitero Brown, though they were allegedly separated at the time.

Brown is widely regarded as the key figure who helped launch Harris’s political career by appointing her to two state commissions.

She then ran for San Francisco district attorney, California attorney general,

“Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker. And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco,” Brown wrote in an op-ed for the San Francisco Chronicle in 2020.

The relationship resurfaced when Harris announced her failed bid for the Democratic presidential nomination—an election she lost to Biden, then a former vice president.

A Headline USA review of Google Trends showed that searches for “Willie Brown” reached “peak popularity” two hours after Biden announced his exit and endorsement of Harris for the 2024 election.

Trump Wants GOP Refund After Biden Drops Out

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Jul. 21, 2024, Donald Trump said that the Republican Party deserved to be “reimbursed for fraud” after the Democratic Party, the mass media and other members of the establishment forced them to spend millions campaigning against Joe Biden, even though they knew that they would remove him because he wouldn’t be able to make it through another four years in office.

The Daily Wire reported that Trump made the statement in a Truth Social post several hours after a person behind Biden’s Twitter account announced the plan to “stand down” from the 2024 presidential election and to throw his support and endorsement behind Kamala Harris instead.

Many people suggested that Biden himself doesn’t even know that he dropped out of the race because he never made an additional statement in front of the audience. Some people also pointed out that Biden’s signature in the latest statement is different from his regular signature.

“So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden, he polls badly after having a terrible debate, and quits the race. Now we have to start all over again. Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President? Just askin’?” Trump said.

Earlier, Trump posted about the second debate — scheduled to air in September on ABC — and argued that it should air on Fox News instead.

“My debate with Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the history of the United States, was slated to be broadcast on Fake News ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, sometime in September. Now that Joe has, not surprisingly, has quit the race, I think the Debate, with whomever the Radical Left Democrats choose, should be held on Fox News, rather than very biased ABC. Thank you!” he posted.

Biden Donor: Endorsement of Kamala Is His ‘F**k You’ to Party Elites

(Headline USA) A prominent donor for President Joe Biden said this week that he will not fundraise for Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Biden endorsed after dropping his own reelection bid on Sunday.

“You have to be enthusiastic or hoping for a political appointment to be asking friends for money. I am neither. It’s others [sic] turn now,” John Morgan, founder of the Orlando-based Morgan & Morgan law firm, wrote on X.

Morgan said he had donated $1 million to Biden’s reelection campaign, but that he would give no more if Democrats choose Harris as Biden’s replacement at the top of the ticket.

“The donors holding the 90 million can release those funds in the morning. It’s all yours. You can keep my million. And good luck,” he continued.

Morgan also said he doesn’t think Biden’s endorsement of Harris is genuine.

“Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his f*** you to all who pushed him out,” he said “Be careful what you wish for.”

Harris is not a viable candidate, Morgan continued, arguing he would have preferred Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear or West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin. Both are considered moderates, unlike the radical leftist Harris.

“She would not be my first choice,” he told The Hill. “But it’s a done deal.”

Harris raised more than $50 million after Biden announced he was ending his reelection bid, according to the New York Times.

However, she must still wait several weeks to lock up the Democratic nomination. The party will likely head to an open convention in August, where any number of challengers could launch their own bids.

“The nomination of a new Democratic candidate must be opened to a genuinely democratic process at an open convention,” Marianne Williamson, who ran against Biden in 2020 and 2024, posted on X. “No one should simply be anointed to the position of nominee; all candidates must be heard and their agendas explored.”

As of Monday, most of the big names in the Democratic Party had endorsed Harris, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.—as well as the potential candidates floated to replace Biden, such as Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.

Manchin Says He Won’t Challenge Kamala for the Dem Nomination

(Headline USA) Sen. Joe Manchin, I-W.Va., shot down reports on Monday that he was considering challenging Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination during the party’s convention.

The senator sparked rumors over the weekend that he might launch his own last-minute bid for the presidency after President Joe Biden announced he would not be seeking reelection less than a month before the party’s convention.

But when pressed, Manchin confirmed on Monday that he’ll fall into line behind Harris, who has received endorsements from Biden, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other top Democrats, the Wall Street Journal reported.

“I don’t need that in my life,” Manchin said. “I’m not running for office. I’m not going to be a candidate for president.”

Manchin said he is only interested in “speaking for the middle of this country,” and shot a thinly veiled warning at Harris, who he has described as “too far left,” according to some reports.

“Joe Biden came out of a very contested primary in 2020, and he rose because he was that moderate figure,” Manchin claimed.

“He always operated in the middle,” Manchin added, contrary to evidence that Biden’s presidency was, in fact, deeply partisan and divisive. “He could make a deal with people on the Right and the Left.”

The senator did, however, argue that the party should hold a true open convention and allow several candidates to vie for the position.

“I believe it would help strengthen Kamala and her position too,” he added. “But that’s already been predetermined, so we’ll see what happens. I think it’s a mistake, but it’s one that they have made.”

Manchin vented his frustration that Democratic leadership seemed already to have stacked the odds in Harris’s favor.

“Why is everyone afraid to speak out? Why are they afraid to say ‘This system is wrong’?” Manchin asked.

“The Democratic Party has gone too far left. The Republican Party has Donald Trump on the far right. People are looking in the middle, where do you go?” he said. “No one else is willing to speak up. They just say, ‘We’re falling behind, we’re going to get in line.’ I”m sorry, I don’t agree with that.”

MLB Players Use Trump Gestures for Celebration Following Assassination Attempt

(Matthew Doarnberger, Headline USA) Some Major League Baseball players have begun referencing former President Donald Trump during their on-the-field celebrations, alluding to Trump’s raised fist—sometimes with the other hand clasped their ears—in homage to the Republican nominee’s gestures after the July 13 attempt on his life.

When Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Taylor Walls recently hit a double off of the New York Yankees, he stood up at second base pumping his fist in the air clearly saying the words “fight, fight,” as Trump did while after being shot in the ear at his Pennsylvania rally.

As St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Alec Burleson rounded the bases after hitting a home run against the Atlanta Braves, he looked to his dugout as he grabbed his ear with one hand while raising his fist. The camera then showed the dugout with many of the players performing the same gesture toward Burleson.

Despite these actions by the Cardinals appearing to clearly display a message of political support, veteran Cardinals player and designated hitter Matt Carpenter tried to downplay the notion that players were expressing their political views.

“This isn’t a political statement by any means. I don’t know where that came from,” he said.

“It’s slowly catching on. I don’t know who, or the first official guy to do it on the field,” he continued. “It picked up steam in this series, for sure. Definitely not a political statement. I think that’s a little off base here.”

During Trump’s first term, many teams and athletes were either hesitant to show support for him or were outright opposed to his presidency.

Only 10 out of the 20 sports champions during those four years decided to visit with the former president at the White House (as is a tradition with championship-winning teams).

MLB has received harsh backlash over the past few years for going “woke” at times—notably moving its 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta in protest of the state’s newly implemented election integrity law. That prompted then-President Trump to call for a league boycott.

The league also has had a troubled history of going against the values of many fans in its promotion of overtly LGBT causes.

The Los Angeles Dodgers drew controversy by inviting a group of cross-dressing “nuns” called the Sisters of Perpectual Indulgence to be honored at their 2023 “Pride Night.”

The league also partnered with the Trevor Project on what was supposed to be a “crisis line” for LGBT youth but was later discovered to redirect to a sexually explicit chat room.

Not So Slick: RFK Jr. Begs Trump for Cabinet Role for Endorsement

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Long-shot presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. begged President Donald Trump for a cabinet position in exchange for an endorsement earlier this month, the Washington Post reported on Monday.

Kennedy Jr.’s request came as Trump sought unity following the July 13 assassination attempt against the former president. Kennedy Jr. had reached out to Trump after obtaining his contact information from podcast host Tucker Carlson.

According to three individuals familiar with the conversation, Trump expressed concerns about offering a cabinet position in return for a political endorsement, swiftly shutting down such demand.

“All I will say to you is I am willing to talk to anybody from either political party who wants to talk about children’s health and how to end the chronic disease epidemic,” Kennedy Jr. told the Post in an interview.

Kennedy Jr. also praised Trump for extending an olive branch. “I have a lot of respect for President Trump for reaching out to me. Nobody from the DNC, high or low, has ever reached out to me in 18 months. Instead, they have allocated millions to try to disrupt my campaign.”

The Independent candidate vowed to continue his campaign despite the low chances of victory in the 2024 race. “We are in it to win it,” he declared.

Following the phone call, Kennedy Jr. agreed to meet with Trump in Milwaukee during the Republican National Convention, where Trump was officially named the Republican presidential nominee.

“Yes, Mr. Kennedy met with President Trump today to discuss national unity, and he hopes to meet with leaders of the Democratic Party as well,” Kennedy campaign spokesperson Stefanie Spear confirmed, as reported by the Post.

The meeting took place two days after Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by Thomas Crooks at a Pennsylvania rally.

While Trump was only grazed by Crooks’s shots, Trump supporter Corey Comperatore was killed, and two others — David Dutch and James Copenhaver — were critically injured.

Following the shooting, Trump called on Joe Biden, the embattled outgoing president, to authorize Secret Service protection for Kennedy Jr.

“In light of what is going on in the world today, I believe it is imperative that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receive Secret Service protection — immediately. Given the history of the Kennedy Family, this is the obvious right thing to do!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The shooting occurred just a day after Lunden Roberts, the mother of Biden’s 5-year-old granddaughter, raised concerns about her child not receiving Secret Service protection despite ongoing threats.

Secret Service Has No Recordings of Radio Comms from Trump Shooting, Director Claims

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Towards the tail end of Monday’s congressional hearing into the Trump assassination attempt, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said her agency doesn’t have recordings of radio communications from that fateful July 13 event.

Cheatle made that astonishing claim in response to questions from Rep. Russell Fry, R-SC, who asked whether the Secret Service records communications between security details. She also said that radio comms are sometimes recorded—“depending on the detail.”

However, “we do not have radio communications from that day,” Cheatle said of the July 13 Trump rally, which resulted in the near death of presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, the death of a firefighter, and the hospitalization of at least two others.

Cheatle did say that the Secret Service has texts and emails from July 13.

The Secret Service is the same agency that deleted text messages related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill uprising.

In the case of Jan. 6, the Secret Service claimed inability to extract text message content due to an April 2021 mobile phone system migration, which wiped all data.

However, the Secret Service then tried to hide the fact that texts were deleted. Even Homeland Security’s own inspector general tried to conceal the fact that the Secret Service—which is housed within DHS—deleted the texts, according to the Project on Government Oversight, or POGO.

“On April 1, attorneys working in the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General approved five detailed paragraphs of language that would have alerted Congress to the Secret Service’s deletion of texts related to January 6,” POGO reported in August 2022.

“Yet Inspector General Joseph Cuffari never sent this detailed alert. Instead, the records show that Cuffari not only failed to alert Congress in a timely way about the erased texts, but failed to adopt his staff’s explicit recommendations that he do so.”

The same DHS inspector general is now leading an internal review of the security failures associated with the July 13 event.

Meanwhile, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have called on Cheatle to resign.

Cheatle has insisted that she’s the best person for the job. She’s set to be grilled again by lawmakers Tuesday at a House Homeland Security Committee hearing.

Trump Trounces Kamala in Every Major Poll Ahead of 2024 Race

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Democrats’ long-awaited candidate swap over the weekend finally marked the desperate last gasp of a party that knows it is running out of options in the leadup to the Nov. 5 election.

However, polling indicates that barring any other surprises, that effort may still fall short.

According to a Trump–Vance 2024 press release, the GOP ticket’s odds still look good as they lead Vice President Kamala Harris in every major poll.

Harris received an endorsement from President Joe Biden’s personal X account after he announced his long-awaited withdrawal from the 2024 campaign on Sunday afternoon.

The various major nationwide polls favor Trump over Harris by a minimum of one point to a maximum of eleven points.

Reuters, for instance, gives Trump a 40-39 edge over Harris, whereas the Manhattan Institute gives Trump an eight-point advantage.

Naturally, Harris’s choice for vice presidential candidate—if she is in fact the eventual nominee—may play a significant role in the election’s eventual outcome.

According to the press release, however, the Democrats, who have now disenfranchised “millions of Democrat primary voters,” are in serious trouble.

Furthermore, it appears that, early on at least, Harris cannot outperform Biden in a single state, indicating danger for the Democrats, particularly in the Rust-Belt swing states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.

“Democrats can’t name a single state where Kamala Harris would perform better than Crooked Joe would have,” the press release says. “In fact, President Trump crushes Kamala Harris in every poll.”

Still, big-name Democrats are continuing to endorse Harris, heavy polling headwinds and  frequent word-salad public speaking displays notwithstanding.

Among those who wish to see Harris as the nominee are New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

She also received an endorsement from the Clintons. Meanwhile, however, the Obamas appear to remain committed to a decision at the Democratic National Convention in August.

“I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges,” Barack Obama said in a statement Sunday.
