The ‘Financial Coup’ That Seized America

(Peter St. Onge, Money Metals News Service) In the wake of the 2008 Financial Crisis, former chief economist of the IMF Simon Johnson warned that the same dysfunctional policies he saw in his basketcase banana republics had taken hold in the United States.

Johnson warned that if America didn’t act fast, we would plunge into a “Quiet Coup” as the American financial system effectively captures the government, bailing itself out until we run out of money.

Well, we didn’t act fast. In fact, we got worse.

And here we are.

Our Bankrupt Financial System

In recent videos I’ve talked about the trillion of distress in the financial system, the common thread being that you, the taxpayer, will be bailing them all out — we saw this in the 2023 bank bailouts, pre-paid in the dark.

Of course, given our $35 trillion in national debt, we can’t afford it. But pay it we will, driving that 35 trillion to, according to the CBO, 50 trillion-plus.

At some point, it gets too big to bail out. Meaning: either hard default — they stop paying interest. Or the more likely soft default — they let inflation rip, melting away the national debt along with our life savings. And between here and there is a wholesale fleecing of the middle class and the working class who rely on them for a job.

The Ignored Warning

So, first, the ignored warning by Simon Johnson. I’m no fan of the IMF — their role is essentially feeding their client dictators fresh drugs at massive taxpayer expense. But one thing the IMF does know is dysfunctional governments.

In his warning, Johnson detailed the typical pattern when countries collapse — when they come in desperation to the IMF.

First, a small group of powerful elites takes over policy. This is typically financial elite, or large companies when the country has them.

Because these elites know they’ll be bailed out, they take excessive risks in good times. An iron law of finance is that risk pays reward. Meaning if you know you’re going to get bailed out, you’d be a moron not to take on too much risk.

If every hand at the poker game is all-in, inevitably you lose. You pass your losses to the taxpayer, and start over with fresh chips, courtesy of the suckers.

The Quiet Coup

Johnson lays out his numbers: from 1973 to 1985, America’s financial sector never earned more than 16% of domestic corporate product. But by the early 2000s, it was earning 41%.

It turned a chunk of these profits into lobbying, repealing Depression-era prudential regulations separating banking and investment banking. In other words, freeing banks to gamble with taxpayer-guaranteed funds.

Then it lobbied to raise leverage — meaning how much the financial sector could borrow. So it could make large gambles with a small amount of money — again, all taxpayer guaranteed.

The end result was the 2008 crisis, where banks made trillions in risky loans to people with no income, no assets, and no credit.

The leverage meant they had bet the farm and then some — keeping all the profits. Then when it turned south they sicced lobbyists on Washington to line up bail-outs, using the real economy as a hostage to wring out yet more lobbyist favors.

The Washington-Wall Street Racket

In return, they gave politicians and their staff plum positions or even outright bribes.

Ben Bernanke got $250,000 for a single speech at a financial conference.

Janet Yellen was paid *$7 million in speaking fees by Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street banks — hedge fund Citadel paid Yellen $292,500 for a single speech.

London-based Standard Chartered paid $270,000 for one speech — interesting for a foreign bank when we can only imagine what favors were done in return.

Johnson sums it up: the American financial system is “desperately ill,” kept alive only by an endless series of bailouts, like the ones that headed off bank failures last year.

He says the only solution is forced recognition of bank losses — which would bankrupt them — then selling them to new management that will not have access to bailouts.

What’s Next

Given their lobbying power, the odds of breaking up America’s megabanks are slim to none.

Meaning unless Washington reins in the banks, we’re in store for more existential financial crises, more bailouts and national debt, more running out the clock to financial catastrophe.

We missed our chance in 2008, and in all likelihood it will take an even bigger crisis before politicians turn on their lobbyists and the financial coup that has seized our republic.

Reps. Crane and Mills Urge Trump Shooting Task Force to Probe 2-Shooter Theory

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Thursday’s House Task Force hearing into the July 13 assassination attempt on Donald Trump mostly focused on the testimony of local law enforcement officers who were at the deadly event. Reps. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., and Cory Mills, R-Fla., also testified at the tail end of the hearing—urging the Task Force to investigate the possibility that there were multiple shooters at the Butler Trump rally.

Specifically, Crane urged the Task Force to explore the two-shooter theory proffered by a Twitter/X user named John Cullen, who’s made the case that at least one of the bullets fired at the Trump rally could not have come from gunman Thomas Crooks.

“John Cullen talks about the possibility of second shooter, he shows a bullet travelling down a path, and the disruption that that bullet supposedly makes, and then flies into a stadium fence,” said Crane, who’s a former Navy Seals sniper.

Mills, a combat vet, agreed. “The one thing that doesn’t lie is bullet trajectory,” he said.

Reader beware: Cullen has made inaccurate claims about the shooting, such as that multiple shooters fired at Trump from inside the first floor of the AGR building—below where Crooks was perched on the rooftop. His more credible multiple-shooter theory can be found here:

The lawmakers’ remarks came a day after the Senate Homeland Security Committee released a report that also raised speculation about two shooters. That report states that the Secret Service snipers on the barn behind Trump’s podium think they may have been shot at, too.

According to the report, one of the Secret Service snipers told Senate investigators that he “thought that [his] partner was hit, due to the proximity of these whip-like cracks.”

The unnamed Secret Service sniper further told the Committee that he “asked my partner how close he thought the rounds were to our left, and he looked at me and said, ‘I heard them on my right.’ And the[re] were approximately six feet between him and I when we were on the rooftop at the main site.”

The Committee said at this point, it cannot confirm whether any bullets passed by any of the Secret Service counter snipers.

“The Committee has not yet spoken to the other USSS Counter Sniper on the Hercules 2 team about these statements,” the report said.

While some Task Force members such as Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., seen open to a two-shooter theory, Democrats on the committee criticized Task Force Chairman Mike Kelly, R-Pa., for allowing Crane and Mills to air “conspiracy theories.”

“I don’t want to be any part of spreading conspiracies,” Task Force member Rep. Madeleine Dean, R-Pa. said yesterday, according to the New York Times.

“I’m always somebody who wants to collect the facts first, not jump in with my own conclusion and try to make the ending meet my conclusion. So that’s why I think it’ll be best if they can say what they want, and I hope we do return to the bipartisan spirit and consensus spirit that brought us to this.”

Iran’s Gold Imports Surge Sixfold as Part of Sanctions Workaround

(Jon Forrest Little, Money Metals News Service) In a striking development that has caught the attention of global financial markets, Iran’s gold imports have surged dramatically, increasing sixfold over a six-month period.

This significant uptick in gold acquisition highlights the Islamic Republic’s strategic move to circumvent international sanctions and stabilize its economy amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Iran’s appetite for gold has reached unprecedented levels, with recent data revealing a remarkable increase in imports. Over a five-month period, the country imported more than 30 tons of gold ingots, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

This substantial influx of precious metal into the Iranian economy represents a clear shift in the nation’s financial strategy.

The surge in gold imports comes against the backdrop of stringent international sanctions imposed on Iran, primarily due to concerns over its nuclear program and regional activities.

These sanctions have severely limited Iran’s ability to engage in international trade and access global financial systems, pushing the country to seek alternative means of preserving wealth and conducting transactions.

Gold as a Sanctions Buster

Versatility of Gold

Gold’s universal value and relative ease of transportation make it an ideal asset for countries facing economic restrictions. Unlike electronic transfers or other forms of currency, gold can be moved across borders with relative ease, making it difficult for sanctions to completely isolate a nation’s economy.

Store of Value

In times of economic uncertainty, gold serves as a reliable store of value. For Iran, increasing its gold reserves provides a buffer against currency fluctuations and inflationary pressures that often accompany sanctions.

International Trade Facilitation

Gold can be used to facilitate international trade when traditional banking channels are restricted. It allows Iran to engage in barter-like transactions, exchanging gold for goods and services with willing trade partners.

The Mechanics of Iran’s Gold Strategy

While the specific routes of Iran’s gold imports remain opaque, it’s likely that the country is leveraging relationships with neighboring nations and friendly states to secure its gold supply. The dramatic increase in gold imports suggests that Iran has found effective channels to bring substantial quantities of the monetary metal into the country.

Iran boasts a robust domestic gold market, with a long cultural tradition of gold ownership. The increased imports are likely to bolster this market, providing liquidity and potentially stabilizing local gold prices.

A portion of the imported gold may be destined for the Central Bank of Iran’s reserves, strengthening the country’s financial position and providing backing for its currency.

Global Implications

The significant increase in Iran’s gold imports could have ripple effects on the global gold market, potentially influencing prices and supply dynamics.

Iran’s gold strategy underscores the ongoing cat-and-mouse game between sanctioned nations and the international community. It highlights the challenges in enforcing comprehensive economic isolation in a globalized world.

The international community, particularly countries enforcing sanctions, may seek to tighten regulations around gold trade to close potential loopholes.

The Future of Iran’s Gold Strategy

Golden Mosque Islamic Republic of Iran Gold

As Iran continues to navigate the complex landscape of international sanctions, its reliance on gold as a financial tool is likely to persist. The country’s ability to maintain and potentially increase its gold imports will depend on several factors:

  • The evolving nature of international sanctions
  • Global gold supply and demand dynamics
  • Iran’s diplomatic relations with potential gold-supplying nations
  • The effectiveness of international efforts to monitor and control gold flows

Iran’s dramatic increase in gold imports represents a sophisticated approach to economic survival under sanctions. By leveraging the unique properties of gold—its value density, portability, and universal acceptance—Iran has found a way to partially insulate its economy from the full impact of international restrictions.

As this situation unfolds, it will be crucial to monitor how other nations and international bodies respond to Iran’s gold strategy. Will it lead to a tightening of gold-related regulations, or will it prompt a reevaluation of the effectiveness of current sanction regimes?

Regardless of the outcome, Iran’s gold imports serve as a potent reminder of the enduring value of precious metals in times of geopolitical uncertainty.

As long as nations face economic isolation, gold will likely continue to shine as a beacon of financial resilience and a tool for navigating the choppy waters of international sanctions.

LGBT Mafia Tries to Run Black-Owned D.C. Bar Out of Business over Bipartisan Branding

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) A politically themed bar in Washington, D.C., decided to remove its bipartisan logo shortly after opening due to online backlash from leftists.

Political Pattie’s logo, which used to feature its name with a GOP elephant and a Democrat donkey, now just reads Pattie’s Bar. The establishment’s slogan “Putting the ‘lit’ in politics” was also removed from the exterior.

The backlash started as the bar was posted to an Instagram meme account, according to the Washington Post.

The spot used to be home to a popular LGBT bar called Dirty Goose and sported a rainbow-covered exterior, which caused leftists to take issue with the new nonpartisan signage.

Owners Andrew Benbow and Sydney Bradford, who also happen to be black, were surprised by the onslaught of comments their bar received.

“People are taking sides and they are entrenching themselves on either side, and they don’t care about the other person’s values” Benbow said. “They don’t care to get to know them.”

The two also stated they fall on different political aisles, as Benbow is a self-described “moderate Republican” and Bradford is a Democrat.

The couple called the attacks “mean spirited” in a lengthy Instagram post.

“What has been happening online to Pattie’s directly resembles what happens in society daily,” they wrote. “Our business was judged by its outside appearance before anyone ever took the chance to learn what we were about on the inside.”

The owners added they had the “full support” from the previous bar’s owners, and they simply saw the business was for sale and bought it.

While the bar’s current signage has the word “Political” removed, it’s not going anywhere. The two stated it will be back, but in a larger blue print to balance out the red doors.

Benbow told Axios he wanted the bar “to be a place where everyone of every political persuasion can come and enjoy themselves.”

‘Conspiracy’ Confirmed: Fluoride in Drinking Water Likely Lowers Kids’ IQs

(Headline USA) A federal judge has ordered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to further regulate fluoride in drinking water because high levels could pose a risk to the intellectual development of children.

The ruling, which came with little fanfare, appeared to validate one of the longest-running so-called conspiracy theories in America’s alt-right subculture—that the government’s use of fluoridation, especially in specific communities, might be part of a deliberate attempt to lower intelligence in order to create a more compliant and subservient population for the New World Order.

It follows a series of recent vindications for skeptics after propagandist media have been proven wrong in falsely declaring things like COVID vaccine hesitancy, the Russia-collusion hoax, the Hunter Biden laptop coverup and the Joe Biden mental acuity coverup/coup to be baseless “conspiracy theories” right up until the point that they were proven true.

If former President Donald Trump were to be reelected and allow Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to declassify files related to his family, several other such theories surrounding significant 20th-century milestones might also be exposed, including the decision to force out then-President Richard Nixon for threatening to reveal who killed his one-time campaign rival, former President John F. Kennedy.

U.S. District Judge Edward Chen cautioned that it’s not certain that the amount of fluoride typically added to water is causing lower IQ in kids, but he concluded that mounting research points to an unreasonable risk that it could be. He ordered the EPA to take steps to lower that risk, but didn’t say what those measures should be.

It’s the first time a federal judge has made a determination about the neurodevelopmental risks to children of the recommended U.S. water fluoride level, said Ashley Malin, a University of Florida researcher who has studied the effect of higher fluoride levels in pregnant women.

She called it “the most historic ruling in the U.S. fluoridation debate that we’ve ever seen.”

The judge’s ruling is another striking dissent to a practice that has been hailed as one of the greatest public health achievements of the last century. Fluoride strengthens teeth and reduces cavities by replacing minerals lost during normal wear and tear, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Last month, a federal agency determined “with moderate confidence” that there is a link between higher levels of fluoride exposure and lower IQ in kids. The National Toxicology Program based its conclusion on studies involving fluoride levels at about twice the recommended limit for drinking water.

The EPA—a defendant in the lawsuit—argued that it wasn’t clear what impact fluoride exposure might have at lower levels. But the agency is required to make sure there is a margin between the hazard level and exposure level. And “if there is an insufficient margin, then the chemical poses a risk,” Chen wrote in his 80-page ruling Tuesday.

“Simply put, the risk to health at exposure levels in United States drinking water is sufficiently high to trigger regulatory response by the EPA” under federal law, he wrote.

An EPA spokesperson, Jeff Landis, said the agency was reviewing the decision but offered no further comment.

In 1950, federal officials endorsed water fluoridation to prevent tooth decay, and they continued to promote it even after fluoride toothpaste brands hit the market several years later.

Fluoride can come from a number of sources, but drinking water is the main source for Americans, researchers say. Nearly two-thirds of the U.S. population currently gets fluoridated drinking water, according to CDC data.

Since 2015, federal health officials have recommended a fluoridation level of 0.7 milligrams per liter of water. For five decades before that, the recommended upper range was 1.2. The World Health Organization has set a safe limit for fluoride in drinking water of 1.5.

Separately, the EPA has a longstanding requirement that water systems cannot have more than 4 milligrams of fluoride per liter of water. That standard is designed to prevent skeletal fluorosis, a potentially crippling disorder which causes weaker bones, stiffness and pain.

But in the last two decades, studies have suggested a different problem: a link between fluoride and brain development. Researchers wondered about the impact on developing fetuses and very young children who might ingest water with baby formula. Studies in animals showed fluoride could impact neurochemistry cell function in brain regions responsible for learning, memory, executive function and behavior.

The court case, argued in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, started in 2017. The lead plaintiff was Food & Water Watch, a not-for-profit environmental advocacy organization. Chen paused the proceedings in 2020 to await the results of the National Toxicology Program report, but he heard lawyers’ arguments about the case earlier this year.

“In our view, the only effective way to eliminate the risk from adding fluoride chemicals to water is to stop adding them,” said Michael Connett, the plaintiffs’ lead attorney, in an email Wednesday.

CNN Admits to Airing Deepfake Photo of Trump and Loomer: ‘We Regret the Error’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) CNN issued several on-air apologies after airing artificial intelligence-generated photos of President Donald Trump and activist Laura Loomer, as confirmed by Headline USA through a review of transcripts publicly released by CNN.

The fake photo first aired on the Sept. 13 episode of Anderson Cooper 360, where Cooper displayed an unrealistic image of Trump that appeared exaggeratedly large compared to Loomer at a golf course. CNN aired it for roughly 10 seconds.

Following the broadcast, CNN anchor Pamela Brown admitted on the Sept. 16 installment of The Lead that the network had recklessly included the “digitally altered” image, stating it “should not have been included.”

Brown added, “We regret the error.”

Loomer likely was notified later in the week by her supporters of the fake images and the subsequent apology, accusing CNN of airing the photo in a bid to “demonize me for the crime of flying on his plane to the Presidential debate.”

She then questioned why Cooper deployed a “female colleague of yours to apologize for your defamation,” threatening legal action against him if he did not issue a personal retraction.

Loomer seemed unaware that Cooper had already apologized during the Sept. 16 edition of 360 as seen in a CNN transcript.

“On review, the image turned out to have been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. And we very much regret that error,” Cooper said, mirroring Brown’s apology.

On the Sept. 21 episode of Smerconish, CNN anchor Michael Smerconish reiterated the apology during a segment that ironically whined about the dangers of misinformation posed by artificial intelligence.

“Speaking of artificial intelligence, CNN aired a number of segments that briefly showed an image of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer taken from social media,” he stated.

He reiterated nearly verbatim Brown’s and Cooper’s apologies, claiming, “On review, this image had been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. We regret the error.”

Coke Allegedly Engages in Election-Meddling, Despite Potential Boycott

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Conservatives on Twitter have declared a boycott of Coca-Cola after the company allegedly showed its true, Donald Trump-hating colors by interfering in the 2024 election.

An anonymous person, @jackunheard, wrote about what happened on Twitter, posting screenshots as evidence. The social media post became viral, causing outrage from other conservatives.

“BREAKING: The Coca-Cola boycott is officially happening. Their new custom website allows the use of ‘Harris 2024′ but prohibits ‘Trump 2024’ due to it being deemed ‘political in nature’ or ‘offensive.’ This is election interference,” the person wrote.

However, it was also noted that the company didn’t turn out to be just anti-Trump. According to @jackunheard, Coca-Cola is also anti-Christian.

“People have also reported that you can use the name ‘Allah,’ but not ‘Jesus’ because they restrict ‘religious figures’ to not offend anyone. Last time I checked, ‘Allah’ is a religious figure,” @jackunheard added.

In a follow-up tweet, @jackunheard thanked Libs of TikTok for providing the information to him.

In the following tweet, he provided a list of Coca-Cola’s own companies, making it easier for conservatives to determine which other companies must be boycotted.

Some people in the comments section claimed that @jackunheard is lying and that it is possible to include Trump’s name on a soda can. However, others on the social media platform wrote that the website prohibits this.

In another tweet, @jackunheard claimed that the company shut down its “Custom Can” site after receiving backlash for not allowing Trump’s name to be put on a can while allowing Harris’s name to be on a can.

However, the Community Notes under the post noted that the company didn’t shut down its custom-can website, adding that the names of other politicians could also not be put on the can. Among those names were “Harris,” “Biden,” “Walz” and others.

However, the Community Notes didn’t stop the boycott, resulting in Coca-Cola dropping in the stock market.

Even though it turned out that the company was prohibiting the usage of the names of both Democratic and Republican politicians, it doesn’t deny that Coca-Cola is not conservative. The company previously pushed anti-white seminars on its white workers and was accused of paying the NAACP to call soda taxes “racist.”

Biden Sabotages Kamala Harris, Connects Her to Current Admin.

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Even though Kamala Harris and the people who work for her campaign have tried their best to distance Harris from the Joe Biden administration, Biden still does everything possible to ensure Harris is still associated with the disastrous administration.

On Sept. 25, 2024, Biden appeared on The View and, while there, discussed how involved Harris was during the administration, indirectly saying that she was also partially responsible for everything that the Biden-Harris administration did.

“As Vice President, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do, and so I was able to delegate her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy,” Biden said.

The video clip became viral on Twitter, and many conservatives quickly pointed out that Harris probably would never be able to distance herself from the administration, which could make her less popular among voters.

The recent news came while the Harris campaign was trying to distance itself from Biden and the current administration.

On Aug. 14, 2024, the New York Post published an exclusive report that shared the comments of a Democratic campaign operative who stated that Harris was trying to disassociate herself from Biden because his polling numbers on issues like the economy were “horrible” and would, therefore, not help her campaign.

Harris did something similar during the last presidential debate on ABC News.

“Clearly, I am not Joe Biden, and I am certainly not Donald Trump,” she said.

This was not the only time Biden tried to sabotage Harris’s presidential campaign. During his speech at the Democratic National Convention, he also linked Harris to the administration.

“We’ve had one of the most extraordinary four years of progress ever. Period. When I say we, I mean Kamala and me,” Biden said, according to Time.

Another viral moment was when Biden wore a red Make America Great Again hat while visiting firefighters in Pennsylvania.

Another George Floyd? Politicians, Media, Celebrities Make New Victim

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The leftist regime tries to use every opportunity to keep Kamala Harris in the White House. This time, it decided to create a new George Floyd-like figure by making a criminal a victim simply because he is black.

According to CNN, in 2001, 55-year-old Marcellus Williams from Missouri was convicted of stabbing Felicia Gayle 43 times inside her St. Louis home in 1998. Recently, the Supreme Court decided to execute Williams via a lethal injection, which happened on Sept. 24, 2024.

Leftists from all walks of life used the opportunity to push another racial division in this country, potentially creating this year’s “October surprise.”

“We must abolish the death penalty,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., wrote.

Tristan Snell, a lawyer, also tried to point out the non-existent hypocrisy.

“The same six justices who claim to be ‘pro-life’ just signed off on the lynching of an innocent black man,” he wrote.

Hollywood actors like George Takei also spread lies about Williams, claiming he was innocent.

“A nation that allows an innocent man to be executed does not value justice. A governor and a High Court that do nothing to stop such a travesty do not value life,” he wrote.

As expected, race hustlers like Ibram X. Kendi couldn’t leave the opportunity to claim that the United States is a “serial killer of black people.”

The mass media also pushed the propaganda about a black man who was not only wrongfully accused but was also defended by the victim’s family, who called to spare his life.

Not surprisingly, it looks and sounds like the “gentle giant” narrative pushed by the same media in 2020 when Floyd died.

Conservatives on Twitter pushed back against the propaganda by stating that Williams was a career criminal who murdered an innocent woman.

“This isn’t a remotely difficult case,” Sean Fitzgerald, the creator of the Actual Justice Warrior YouTube channel, wrote.

Some people on Twitter suggested that the Left will use William’s conviction to repeat the domestic terror that they started in 2020, adding that the family was probably pressured to be on the side of the one who murdered someone they love.

“Is this the new George Floyd?” the person wrote.

Treacherous Ex-Trump Foes Try to Worm Their Way Back into His Graces

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) They are coming back to Poppa.

Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are trying to kiss President Donald Trump’s ring after cozying up to the left—just in time for the 2024 election.

This week, several outlets reported that both Zuckerberg and Zelenskyy have engaged in private conversations with Trump in a potential bid to secure their positions in the Republican candidate’s good graces should he emerge victorious in November.

The Facebook founder reportedly enlisted Republican strategist Brian Baker to whitewash his image among conservative media and Republican officials, the liberal New York Times reported on Tuesday.

Baker allegedly assured Trump that Zuckerberg has no plans to interfere in the 2024 election in the same controversial manner as he did in 2020 when he donated over $300 million to a leftist non-profit that ultimately issued grants in several swing states.

Republicans have long argued that these grants were strategically designed to help Democrats in 2020, prompting 28 states and 12 counties to enact laws restricting or banning what became known as “Zuck Bucks.”

The tech mogul also allegedly told Trump there was “no way” he would vote for a Democrat in the 2024 election.

Seemingly taking cues from Zuckerberg, Zelenskyy’s aides reached out to the Trump campaign to arrange a private meeting with the former president, according to a screenshot of a message shared by Trump on Truth Social.

The message, sent by Ukrainian Deputy Ambassador Denys Sienik to the MAGA team, was successful as Trump confirmed a future meeting during a press conference on Thursday.

In the message to Trump, Zelenskyy claimed, “Days ago, we requested a meeting with you, and I really want to hear your thoughts directly, and firsthand. You know I always speak with great respect about everything connected to you, and that’s how it should be.”

This statement directly contradicts Zelenskyy’s past comments and actions against Trump. In January 2024, the Ukrainian president expressed he was “frightened” by the prospect of Trump returning to the White House.

Zelenskyy also targeted Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, calling him “too radical” during a Sunday interview with The New Yorker.

This criticism came during the same period Zelenskyy was unashamedly touring a weapons manufacturing factory in Pennsylvania, alongside Gov. Josh Shapiro, a high-profile surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris.
