Dan Crenshaw Gets a Primary Challenger after Anti-MAGA Meltdown

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, has come into the MAGA movement’s crosshairs after he melted down in a tirade against conservative influencers earlier this week, the Business and Politics Review reported.

On Wednesday, Crenshaw went on a profanity-laced rant about rumors that he was behind the push for a pay raise for members of Congress that helped drive backlash against the stopgap Continuing Resolution.

All appearances and rumors suggest that Crenshaw was willing to sell out the American people for a pay raise, by continuing his support for large-scale United States aid for Ukraine, all while sliding in a pay raise for himself and his colleagues.

President-elect Donald Trump even chimed in, noting in a joint statement with Vice President-elect JD Vance that anything else other than calling the Democrats’ bluff on a government shutdown would be “a betrayal of our country.” Trump and Vance have been pushing for Republicans to place a limit on American debt.

As a result, Crenshaw’s behind-the-scenes machinations appear to have potential consequences for his political career.

In response to Crenshaw’s shortcomings, Valentina Gomez, a Texas financier, announced that she would run for the United States Congress in Texas, trying to unseat Crenshaw in the 2026 primary election.

Gomez posted on Wednesday announcing her campaign platform in outline:

“I’m running for Congress in Texas, and I’m taking down a RINO and a dinosaur once and for all,” she said, alluding to Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Crenshaw as well.

Gomez accused Johnson of being “a little man with no balls that funds Ukraine and betrays the American people every chance he gets” noting that Congress is “full of crooks.”

According to the aspiring congresswoman, her greatest asset will be that she has no interest in impressing DC administrators.

“I don’t give a f*** what all those bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. think about me,” Gomez added.

Meanwhile, the President-elect has also signaled that it may be time to primary Rep. Chip Roy, R.-Texas, whom he referred to recently as “another ambitious guy with no talent.”

MURDOCK: New House Speaker, Please!

(Deroy Murdock, Headline USA) Acting President Donald J. Trump is bringing foreign leaders to heel, unveiling Soft Bank’s $100 billion/100,000-job investment in America, and otherwise dominating the domestic scene and the world stage.

Conversely, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is failing Trump, betraying America’s taxpayers, and displaying a level of weakness that makes baby chicks look tough.

Johnson yanked a 1,547-page bipartisan omnibus spending monstrosity after its stench nearly asphyxiated Department of Government Efficiency leaders Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump himself, and the 77 million people who elected him and Republicans to erase what this noxious measure would have enshrined.

The omnibus would have…

  • shielded congressional e-mails from subpoenas
  • handed Congress a $6,000 annual pay hike
  • reinvigorated COVID-style gain-of-function research
  • funded $3 million to inspect molasses inspectors
  • spent $15 million to make recycling more handicapped-accessible
  • underwritten Kamala Harris’s electric bus program
  • rescued the State Department’s Global Engagement Center, a hotbed of anti-conservative censorship.
  • corrupted federal lingo from “offender” to “justice-involved individual.”

“Who wrote this bill?” my revolted Fox News colleague asked Wednesday night, as he dissected this beast. “The Republicans have the majority. I swear to God, The Squad wrote this thing.”

This gargantuan mess totally violated Johnson’s pledge not to insult taxpayers with yet another pork-infused Yuletide omnibus.

“There won’t be a Christmas omnibus,” Johnson told journalists on September 24. “We have broken the Christmas omni, and I have no intention of going back to that terrible tradition,” Johnson added. “We don’t want any buses. We’re not going to do any buses, OK?”

Never mind the test of time. Johnson’s words did not survive the test of 90 days.

Either Johnson blatantly broke this solemn promise or he preemptively lied through his teeth, as he cooked up this Yuletide assault on the American people.

Johnson moans that he cannot control Chuck Schumer. But nothing stopped Johnson from rallying Republicans behind austere legislation months ago. He could have called Schumer’s bluff: Embrace House legislation or send a pricier measure to a conference committee for reconciliation. Both houses could have enacted ensuing compromise language.

As for this week’s deservedly aborted bill, if Johnson supported its profligacy, extravagance, and authoritarianism, then he is a Big Government socialist wolf in conservative sheep’s clothing.

If Johnson knew about these items, opposed them, but could not exclude them from the omnibus, then he negotiates as pathetically as a wimpy kid who lets the school bully snatch his lunch money without fighting back or at least screaming loudly enough to attract help and send the punk running.

If Johnson were unaware of the multifarious solid waste that polluted this bill, then his inattention to detail is terminal, and he has no moral authority to keep his post. If Johnson dozed during negotiations with Democrats, then Republicans should liberate him from the Speaker’s chair and let him catch Zs atop a back bench in the House chamber.

Whether Johnson loved the stomach-turning contents of this mercifully abandoned legislation, lacked the will to resist it, or somehow had no idea that these Leviathan droppings clogged this budget measure, none of these possible explanations recommends him to lead the incoming House’s 217 Republicans and their impending one-seat majority.

Until special elections in April fill the seats of incoming UN Ambassador Elise Stefanik, Trump’s new national security advisor Mike Waltz, and Florida firebrand Matt Gaetz, Republicans will need 100% attendance and total unanimity to adopt even National Apricot Month. If anything more controversial prompts just one Republican to defect, legislation would fail 216-216, provided that Democrats remain equally engaged and unified.

Walking this parliamentary tightrope will require someone with rock-solid conservative principles, a steel spine, iron will, the energy of Hoover Dam, and the focus and meticulousness of NASA’s Webb Telescope.

Does such a figure walk among the 119th Congress’s Republican conference? Who knows? But what this omnibus catastrophe makes excruciatingly and tragically clear is that Mike Johnson is not that leader.

Cruz Says Nuking the Debt Ceiling Would Lock in ‘President Elizabeth Warren’

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Sen. Ted Cruz warned Friday on his podcast that eliminating the debt ceiling would ensure a radical leftist like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., takes the presidency.

President-elect Donald Trump called for congressional Republicans to back blowing up the debt limit under the Biden administration Wednesday rather than to carry the “destructive” mess into the incoming Trump administration. On Thursday, Trump reiterated his call to terminate the debt ceiling, saying, “this is the time to do so!”

On Verdict, Cruz rejected conservative calls on social media to allow a government shutdown before Trump’s inauguration. He made the point that Democrats would brand it a “Republican shutdown” and use it to their political advantage.

The Texas senator made clear his opposition to ending the debt ceiling, adding that he expressed his concerns to fellow lawmakers at lunch.

“I told my colleagues today at lunch, I said, ‘Alright, you get rid of the debt ceiling. Get ready for President Elizabeth Warren. And if you don’t like a $36 trillion debt, get ready for a $50 trillion debt,’” Cruz said.

He told Verdict listeners, “The Democrats, Elizabeth Warren, wants to eliminate the debt ceiling. AOC wants to eliminate the debt ceiling. Chuck Schumer wants to eliminate the debt ceiling, because they want to spend us into oblivion.”

Cruz said the debt ceiling should be raised and that it is “a real problem” some House Republicans refuse to take the same stance.

“The debt ceiling will have to be raised. My position has always been, I’m willing to vote to raise the debt ceiling if we are getting concessions that are reigning in the out-of-control spending that’s bankrupting our country,” Cruz said. “However, in the House, there are a bunch of Republicans who simply say, ‘I will never, ever, ever vote to raise the debt ceiling no matter what, it doesn’t matter what we get. My answer is no,’ That is a real problem.”

‘Which is It?’: Scott Jennings Rips CNN Stooge’s Musk-Puppet Trump-Dictator Talk

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) CNN’s Scott Jennings ripped Democrat strategist Julia Roginsky on Thursday over her conflicting argument that Elon Musk is puppeteering President-elect Donald Trump, who Democrats repeatedly characterized as an uncontrollable dictator.

Jennings told NewsNight panelists it’s a great move for Musk to give the American people information they otherwise would not have known about the federal government, referencing the Department of Government Efficiency head’s social media campaign that ultimately killed the 1,547-page federal spending bill.

Roginsky responded, “Elon Musk is doing this to gin up people to call their congressmen or congresswoman and to vote against something Elon Musk doesn’t want them to vote for because it doesn’t directly benefit Elon Musk. Let’s be very clear.”

Jennings asked the Democrat strategist how she knows Musk is only in it for himself, casting doubt on her claims.

“You’re making an allegation. It’s a serious allegation,” Jennings told her. “You’re essentially alleging corruption.”

Roginsky told the conservative CNN panelist she was not accusing Musk of corruption but reiterated her assertion that Musk is lobbying for policies beneficial to his X, SpaceX and Tesla businesses.

“That’s a fact. He’s a businessman. He’s not here as a staffer. If you’re a staffer, if you’re working on the Hill, then he should go work on the Hill,” Roginsky said.

Omitting that Trump gave DOGE a July 4, 2026 deadline, Roginsky said Musk and DOGE partner Vivek Ramaswamy should fully envelop themselves into the bureaucracy if they want to affect Trump administration policy. She called the pair “unpaid advisers.”

“For that reason, Elon Musk is puppeteering Donald Trump and every other member of Congress that he wants to,” the Democrat strategist said, prompting CNN host Abby Phillip to agree that Trump did not do “anything to dissuade people” from thinking that.

A baffled Jennings called out Roginsky for arguing afoul of the Democrats’ 2024 campaign talking point that Trump would govern as a dictator without any safeguards.

“In October, the principe Democratic argument was, ‘Donald Trump is going to be a dictator.’ And today it’s, ‘Donald Trump is just being puppeteered by other people. Which is it?” Jennings shot back at Roginsky, who responded, “it could be both.”

‘Chilling Effect’: MSNBC, CNN Hosts Say ABC’s Payoff to Trump Could Shock Media into Doing Their Job

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) The hive mind hosts of MSNBC and CNN used the same two words when describing the industry impact of ABC News’s $16 million settlement with President-elect Donald Trump.

Talking heads from CNN’s Jim Acosta to MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle echoed the “chilling effect” of ABC News’s costly payoff rewarded to Trump over anchor George Stephanopoulos’s defamatory remarks about rape.

Realizing she needs to do her job to see another paycheck from the tanking MSNBC, Ruhle emphasized Thursday the importance of accurately reporting on Trump going forward.

“For the media environment for the rest of the world, when they see a settlement like this, there is a chilling effect, right?” she said after mentioning how the Disney-owned ABC News will be just fine forking over millions.

Ruhle mentioned Trump’s subsequent election interference lawsuit against the Des Moines Register over a bizarre poll suggesting the Republican would not win the red state, which he soared to victory in by 13 points.

The MSNBC host complained that tens of thousands will be lost in legal fees before a judge intervenes, not noticing the irony of her statement in the context of the four nullified criminal prosecutions against Trump.

“If you’re local news organization and you’re saying, ‘I want to accurately cover this administration like all of us are going to,’ it’s a scary time,” Ruhle told The Daily Beast Podcast.

She added, “So, for all of us, this is a warning. You better have your ts crossed, you better have your is dotted, which I actually think is a positive because we need to do that.”

In March, Stephanopoulos incorrectly said Trump was found “liable of rape” in an on-air segment shaming sexual assault survivor Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C. Before going on air, Stephanopoulos was reportedly warned not to use the word “rape” but did not listen to his executive producer, according to the New York Post.

CNN’s Acosta appeared to have received the same talking points as Ruhle when he asked an agreeable Brian Stelter the following question: “I have to ask you whether or not you think there’s just going to be a chilling effect on the news industry as just as he is coming into office because of this. I mean, I suppose it’s almost a rhetorical question because the answer is yes.”

MSNBC commentator Barbara McQuade was another media mockingbird, according to RealClearPolitics. She bemoaned the “the chilling effect it might have on people who otherwise would be critical of Donald Trump.”

FBI Detains Possible Accomplice to 15-Year-Old Female Christian School Shooter

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) CBS 8 in California reported Wednesday that the FBI detained a 20-year-old man for plotting a mass shooting at a government building with the 15-year-old girl who would go on to attack the Abundant Life Christian School on Monday—killing another student and a teacher, and wounding six others before killing herself.

According to CBS, FBI agent served a gun violence restraining order on the man, Alexander Paffendorf, after discovering that he had been in contact with the 15-year-old shooter, Natalie Rupnow, online.

CBS 8, which obtained a copy of the restraining order, reported that Paffendorf admitted to having contact with Rupnow to FBI agents in an interview.

“During an FBI interview, Paffendorf admitted to the FBI agents that he told Rupnow that he would arm himself with explosives and a gun and that he would target a government building,” the two-page restraining order from the Carlsbad Police Department states, according to CBS 8.

The order said that FBI agents “saw the messages from Paffendorf to Rupnow.” A San Diego Superior Court Judge approved the restraining order on Tuesday night, the day after Rupnow’s attack.

TMZ reported Thursday that Paffendorf’s neighbors said he “exhibited seriously creepy behavior—never talking, avoiding eye contact, always wearing his hood up, and other unsettling anti-social habits.”

“In fact, his behavior was so bizarre, she claims it was even brought to his parents’ attention during one particularly eyebrow-raising incident—but they didn’t do anything about it,” TMZ reported.

That Rupnow would be in contact with a “creepy” 20-year-old man isn’t surprising, given her other online affiliations. As Headline USA reported Wednesday, Rupnow, who went by the name Samantha, Rupnow is closely linked to Satanic chat groups known for grooming teenagers to commit crimes, self-mutilation and other acts of depravity.

Rupnow’s links to Satanic chat rooms were exposed Tuesday, when a journalist published her apparent manifesto, which came from the shooter’s Twitter/X account.

An online researcher who goes by the handler “Bx” looked into the account, and found that it was following at least two accounts promoting Satanism and accelerationism. Those accounts were @GroidCell, which is linked to the Satanic 764 pedophile network; and @tempel0vBl00d—named after a Satanic cult, which happens to have been created by an FBI informant. The latter account has since changed its name, Bx said.

“But the most direct link to these groups came from Rupnow’s suspected Telegram account, ‘crossixir.’ Her user account was subscribed to a channel called @u0kaaa, which is descried as a 764 music and backup chanel,” Bx added.

U.S. Taxpayers Spending MILLIONS to Maintain Superyacht Seized from Russian Billionaire

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) On the heels of Russia invading Ukraine, the Justice Department announced in May 2022 that it seized a 348-foot luxury vessel owned by sanctioned Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov—touting the move as a major win against Russia’s corrupt oligarchy.

“This yacht seizure should tell every corrupt Russian oligarch that they cannot hide,” Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco said at the time.

While the Biden-Harris administration may still be happy for sticking it to a Russian billionaire, U.S. taxpayers might not be so pleased about having to foot the bill.

According to an investigation from the Washington Post, the upkeep of the billionaire’s boat, the Amedea, has cost U.S. taxpayers some $30 million since May 2022. The DOJ reportedly confirmed that figure.

The Post reported Thursday that the U.S. ran into difficulties as soon as it seized the Amedea because the DOJ did not yet have permission from Fiji’s courts to bring the yacht back to U.S. shores.

“The Fiji courts authorized transfer of the boat in June, but costs to U.S. taxpayers were only beginning,” the Post reported. “Another Russian billionaire who is not under sanctions, Eduard Khudainatov, has claimed that he is in fact the yacht’s owner and that the federal government would be breaking the law by selling property that is rightfully his.”

The U.S. continues incurring costs as it now fights a court battle over the yacht’s ownership.

Court filings described the boat’s upkeep requirements, including that its pool, silk carpets and silk furnishings “be kept in a consistent air-conditioned environment,” that “regularly scheduled washing” protect its multimillion-dollar paint job, and that a “specialized live-in crew” staff the boat for upkeep, according to the Post.

The Post also reported that U.S. law prevents the government from liquidating Russian oligarch assets worth more than $500,000 without due process.

The  Amadea reportedly remains anchored at the port of San Diego as of Wednesday.

Ex-FBI Agent Promised $17K Ring to Victim for Not Testifying against Him, Then Reneged

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) An indictment was unsealed Wednesday against a former FBI agent who allegedly cyberstalked a victim for years—at one point promising her a $17,000 engagement in a sham marriage he never followed through with.

Paul Raymond Flood, 54, of Castro Valley, faces charges of cyberstalking, witness tampering, and obstruction of a criminal investigation by bribery. He was indicted in May and just arrested on Tuesday.

Flood, who was an FBI agent from 2007 to 2019, allegedly met a first-year law student who contacted him about a future with the bureau. One of the victim’s family member referred her to Flood.

“Within a few weeks of meeting [Victim-1], Flood allegedly began to make unwelcome romantic advances toward V-1 and engage in a pattern of harassing and intimidating conduct,” the DOJ said in a press release.

“Flood had a diamond ring delivered to V-1 in mid-October 2018; used different numbers and messaging applications to call and text V-1, creating and using at least 79 different numbers between mid-October 2018 through September 2019; sent messages demonstrating that he was surveilling V-1 and her family; and repeatedly pressured B-1 to have V-1 call or unblock Flood.”

The victim reported Flood to local law enforcement authorities in 2019, and he was suspended shortly thereafter. The DOJ Inspector General opened an investigation into Flood, but he allegedly intimidated the victim into not cooperating.

According to the DOJ, Flood’s tactics included threatening to commit suicide, offering the victim various bribes, and pressuring her family members to persuade her not to cooperate with law enforcement.

Flood was successful.

“Flood also persuaded V-1 to agree to enter a sham marriage with him so that she would not have to testify against him, buying her a $17,000 engagement ring in the process. V-1 did not follow through with the sham marriage plan,” the DOJ added.

Flood is currently on conditional release. His next appearance in federal court is scheduled for Jan. 15. He faces up to 20 years imprisonment for each witness tampering charge.

‘That’s F**king Fascist’: Tim Pool Goes Scorched Earth on Leftist Influencer over J6 Prisoners

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Podcaster Tim Pool ripped leftist influencer Luke Beasley over his attack on the Jan. 6 political prisoners during Thursday’s episode of his show.

President-elect Donald Trump promised to free those unjustly thrown in prison due to the Capitol riot nearly four years ago, saying in his Time magazine “Person of the Year” interview that pardons could be taken care of in the “first nine minutes” of his second term.

When Beasley relentlessly tried to educate Pool on his resentment toward imprisoned Trump supporters, the “Timcast” host hit back with a fiery defense of those locked up after Jan. 6, 2021.

“Stop, stop. You don’t know anything about these Jan. 6 cases,” Pool said.

“You don’t know why these people are in jail. You don’t know that a man is in Brooklyn right now without charge or trial,” he continued. “And when Donald Trump says, ‘These people have been held for too long,’ you say, ‘No, Trump is wrong, keep them locked up.’ That’s f**king fascist.”

Beasley silently stared at Pool with wide eyes as the podcaster continued by saying Beasley speaks from no place of knowledge on this situation.

“For you to sit there and say it is good that he remains locked up is fascism,” Pool reiterated.

Pool said his morality and understanding of the Jan. 6 cases led him to surmise three years was more than enough time spent in prison.

“My view on Jan. 6 has always been the people who attacked police must go to prison,” he said. “But three years is a f**king long time for assault on an officer.”

He underscored his point by comparing Jan. 6 sentences to the lack of prosecutions against Black Lives Matter rioters in 2020.

An impassioned Pool pointed out Beasley’s hypocrisy for supporting 18-month prison sentences for people who walked into the Capitol building after the Jan. 6 uprising had concluded.

“I don’t see you defending the innocent people who walked onto a public grass on a public building after a riot had been completed,” he raged. “You don’t know, you don’t care. You’ve taken a tribal position and people are suffering because of it.”

Pool urged Beasley to give him “some f**king data,” which was met by the leftist commentator shakily saying, “prosecutors.”

The “Timcast” host then laid into Beasley’s lack of skepticism against believing what he is told.

“Stop squinting at me and saying, ‘The prosecutors did the thing.’ You didn’t know,” Pool said.

“You didn’t read it. You didn’t read the court papers,” he continued. “All you know is the fascist machine state told you he should be in prison, and you’re saying yes to them.”

House Dems Get Assist from 38 Republicans to Creep Closer to Gov’t Shutdown

(Democrats joined 38 RINOs and hardline fiscal conservatives in the House of Representatives to pave the way for a potential government shutdown over the holidays that could snarl air travel and postal deliveries, among other things.

With 174 yeas and 235 nays, opposition from both Democrats and Republicans tanked the 116-page American Relief Act, 2025 late Thursday.

The continuing resolution bill needed a two-thirds majority to fund the government through the next fiscal quarter.

“The Democrats voted to shut down the government, rejecting a clean CR to deny the president negotiating leverage in his new term,” said Vice President-elect JD Vance, who had worked late into the night on Tuesday helping Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and House Republicans hammer out the agreement—even bringing along his young son in pajamas.

“They’d rather shut it down to fight for global censorship bulls**t,” Vance added. “They’ve asked for a shutdown, and that’s exactly what they’re going to get.”

The Trump-endorsed measure would have funded the government through March, allocated roughly $100 billion in disaster relief, extended the farm bill for a year, and suspended the debt ceiling until January 2027.

The bill also dropped key concessions Johnson’s original stopgap bill made to Democrats, including a new football stadium in Washington, D.C., a reauthorization of the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act, a substantial pay raise for members of Congress and other last-minute pork-barrel spending on political pet projects.

As expected, Democrats revolted over the axing of their previously negotiated priorities.

“We reached a bipartisan agreement that will help farmers, families, the future of working-class Americans, children, seniors, veterans, and the men and women in uniform all across the nation and the world,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., told reporters. “That bipartisan agreement has now been detonated.”

A substantial number of Republicans also opposed the stopgap because of the debt suspension, even though most of the wasteful spending had been eliminated.

“My position is simple – I am not going to raise or suspend the debt ceiling (racking up more debt) without significant & real spending cuts attached to it,” Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, posted on X four hours before the bill reached the floor. “I’ve been negotiating to that end. No apologies.”

Trump supported the up-front raising of the debt ceiling in order to avoid ongoing legislative gridlock as he works to enact an ambitious agenda that includes the mass deportation of illegal immigrants admitted under the Biden administration’s open-border policies.

Congress has until Friday at midnight to reach a deal before the government shuts down.
