List of Potential Challengers for Speakership Sends Shockwaves in D.C.

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The list of potential challengers to replace U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., was recently released by Fox News after conservatives started talking about replacing Johnson.

Two anonymous Republican lawmakers told the news source that House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla, were all mentioned as potential replacements for Johnson.

“That would be suicidal,” one of the lawmakers said after revealing that one had not heard from any of the three politicians.

A person close to Donalds told Fox News that, at this time, “the Congressman has not made any statements regarding the future of House leadership.”

A spokesperson for Emmer also told the news source that the politician would not replace Johnson because he wants to concentrate on “doing the job he was elected to do.”

Fox News also contacted Jordan and Johnson’s offices for comment but hasn’t received a response from either politician yet.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., also previously suggested Elon Musk should replace Johnson.

“The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress… Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk… think about it… nothing’s impossible (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’ minds),” he wrote on Twitter.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., supported Paul’s idea, stating that she would be “open to supporting [Musk] for Speaker of the House.”

“DOGE can only truly be accomplished by reigning in Congress to enact real government efficiency. The establishment needs to be shattered just like it was yesterday. This could be the way,” she wrote.

Conservative political commentator Michael Knowles also supported the idea, stating, “It seems crazy until you remember that the job of the Speaker is to twist arms and get members in line.”

“Musk lacks direct political experience, but he does control a major communications platform and more money than anyone else in the world,” Knowles wrote.

However, President-elect Donald Trump told Fox News that Johnson will “easily remain speaker” for the next Congress if he “acts decisively and tough” and eliminates “all of the traps being set by Democrats” in the spending package.

“If the speaker acts decisively and tough and gets rid of all of the traps being set by the Democrats, which will economically and, in other ways, destroy our country, he will easily remain speaker,” Trump said.

‘Money Laundering:’ Kamala Harris Lands $20M Book Deal

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Daily Mail reported that top publishers are ready to pay former Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris as much as $20 million to tell the truth about Joe Biden, what happened during his term in office, and her presidential campaign.

“Virtually the moment Kamala lost to Trump, the offers began pouring in from the publishing world for her to do the definitive book on what really went on between Joe and Kamala – what went right and what went wrong – inside the Oval Office walls, and all the ups and downs of her campaign,” a Harris insider said.

According to a prominent executive at one of New York’s top liberal-leaning publishing houses, publishers want Harris to write a book because she “knows all the secrets” and “Where all the skeletons are buried.”

“As we see it, her book would be the hottest White House and presidential campaign tell-all ever and would sell like hotcakes to readers on both sides of the political aisle,” the executive told the Mail.

One of the top Washington, D.C., literary agents also suggested that Harris should “tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth” by revealing her relationship with Biden, the withdrawal from Afghanistan and whether she was aware of Hunter Biden’s pardon.

Additionally, the agent said that she should explain her terrible performance as a border czar, reckless spending while running for president, why she chose Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., as her vice presidential pick and who were the “real puppet masters during the past four years of the Biden-Harris administration.”

“She has to come clean about those issues and much more in order to make a tell-all credible and believable to the publisher, the editor, and the American reading public who would be convinced to buy her book,” the agent said. “They’ll all expect the truth!”

Conservatives on Twitter quickly pointed out that the publishing houses’ proposal to pay Harris millions for her book was a legal way for politicians to launder money.

“They all have a book deal, huh? Who the heck plans reading it?” @DefiyantlyFree wrote.

Co-owner of Trending Politics Colin Rugg also suggested that Harris could use the money she would get from the book deal to “pay off all the debt she racked up after she blew through $1.5B.”

Owen Shroyer of Infowars stated, “This is [Harris’s] deal to leave politics permanently.”

Jill Biden Wants Joe Biden to ‘Burn Whole Thing Down’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Daily Mail reported that Joe Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, urged her husband to “burn the whole thing down,” referring to the entire globalist establishment that the Democratic Party mainly represents.

Among the most well-known people in the establishment are former President Barack Obama, former Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

“Jill views Democrats on Capitol Hill, the [wider] party, the Obamas, staff inside and outside the White House, the media and all of Washington DC with such misguided resentment that I can’t imagine she [isn’t] encouraging [Joe] to burn the whole thing down, despite his better judgment,” the Mail’s insider stated.

According to the insider, Jill wants to explicitly target Pelosi, who was responsible for pushing her husband out of the 2024 election race, calling him and demanding he quit in the hours before he withdrew on June 21.

Democratic mega-donor and attorney from Florida, John Morgan, also said that he thinks Joe forced Harris to replace him in the race as a way to rebel against the treason that Pelosi and Obama orchestrated.

“[Biden] basically had the palace coup from all directions, from George Clooney to Pelosi. I think he got pissed off [and] said, ‘F*** you,’ and gave us Harris,” Morgan said.

Both politicians allegedly didn’t want Harris to run.

“Pelosi had told her delegation that there would be a convention and a nominating process. And Barack Obama did not endorse [Harris] for five days,” Morgan added.

The Mail reported that Morgan had known Biden for decades and had attended a ‘thank you’ dinner for donors at the White House in November.

Conservatives became optimistic after hearing the recent news.

“Whatever [Jill] does to them will be well and mightily deserved, and one can only hope it will be creative and politically painful for them. As long as she’s around, she probably will take down that whole house of cards,” Monica Showalter of the American Thinker wrote. “What a legacy. Have at it, bozos.”

Fox News contributor Steve Cortes also said that the recent news is another example of Jill being in charge of the White House instead of Joe.

“Will his exit mark the end of the Democrat Party?” @GuntherEagleman wrote.

Nick Fuentes Releases Chilling Video of Would-Be Assassin Knocking on His Door

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Controversial provocateur and online streamer Nick Fuentes has released security footage of a man accused of attempting to murder him at his home in Illinois.

The alleged assassin, identified by law enforcement as John R. Lyons, is believed to be responsible for a triple homicide on Wednesday night.

Fuentes asserts that Lyons targeted him.

“Last night an armed killer made an attempt on my life at my home, which was recently doxed on this platform,” Fuentes wrote Thursday on X, garnering over 7.5 million views. “The gunman carried a pistol, crossbow, and incendiary devices. I believe he intended to kill me. He is now dead. I am okay!”

He added, “I am grateful to God that I am still alive today.”

Fuentes mentioned that the gunman broke into a neighbor’s home and killed two of their dogs.

“Doxing is not a game. This nihilistic lynch mob behavior must end before anyone else is killed,” Fuentes stated.

The podcast host and online personality released CCTV footage showing the offender ringing his doorbell while wearing a motorcycle helmet and holding a pistol in his right hand.

“The killer parked his car in front of my house and approached my door with his pistol drawn and what appears to be a crossbow. I was livestreaming at the time,” Fuentes said. “He rings the door bell, tries the doorknob and yells ‘yo Nick!’”

The Berwyn Police Department had been tracking Lyons following reports from the public. He fled on foot and escaped from officers, later forcing himself into a residence where he shot the two dogs.

Lyons was then seen fleeing into a nearby yard.

When approached by officers, Lyons did not respond to their commands before firing at them.

“Berwyn Police Officers returned fire and fatally struck the subject,” the police wrote in a press statement. No officers were injured.

“Early reports indicate that the offender was wanted for a triple homicide committed in Mahomet, IL earlier in the day on December 18, 2024. This incident has been turned over to the Illinois State Police Integrity Task Force and is considered an active and ongoing investigation,” the police added.

Biden Pardons ‘Black Widow’ Who Was Accused of Killed Husbands for Insurance Payouts

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In addition to pardoning his embattled son, Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden also granted clemency to a woman convicted of insurance fraud linked to the murders of her two former husbands and ex-boyfriend.

Josephine Virginia Gray, dubbed the “Black Widow,” was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison in 2002 for fraud schemes related to murders that took place between 1974 and 1996, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Gray is now free, even after being resentenced to the same penalties in 2006 following appeals. She was among the 1,500 individuals Biden extended clemency or pardons on Dec. 12.

Gray was accused of murdering her first husband, Norman Stribbling, in 1974, according to The Washington Post.

She was also accused of murdering her second husband, William “Robert” Gray, who was killed in 1992. In 1996, her boyfriend, Clarence Goode, was found stuffed in the back of his car after suffering a gunshot wound.

While the murder charges were dropped due to family members either declining to testify or going missing, Gray was convicted of insurance fraud after collecting $165,000 from three insurance settlements.

Her conviction was based on the slayer’s rule, which prevents killers from benefiting from insurance or inheritance proceeds from their victims.

The murder charges were not pursued further because state prosecutors believed that the federal sentence ensured Gray would effectively “die in prison.”

Enter Biden.

Gray had been placed under home confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but with Biden’s clemency, she is now a free woman.

James Trusty, the former U.S. attorney who prosecuted the case, expressed his frustration in remarks to the Free Beacon: “It pisses me off, as you can imagine.”

Trusty added, “This doesn’t feel like a ‘rule of law’ moment for the Biden administration.” He was informed of Gray’s commuted sentence through an alert on the case’s docket.

Gray’s pardon is not the only one facing criticism. Biden also pardoned a Chinese national convicted of child pornography.

The lame-duck president also extended clemency to a former Pennsylvania judge implicated in the so-called “Kids for Cash” kickback scheme, which presumably resulted in the wrongful imprisonment of 2,000 juveniles.

Another controversial pardon was that of Hunter Biden, the president’s son, who had been convicted of making a false statement on a federal gun purchase form and failing to pay millions in taxes. Biden falsely stated that his son had fallen victim to partisan prosecution, contradicting his earlier assertions that he would respect the judicial process and the jury’s verdict.

MSNBC Hosts Who Pushed Trump-Nazi Comparisons Face Pay Cuts

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) MSNBC may soon slash the salaries of some of the network’s leftist hosts if they want to keep their anchoring positions. This decision dealt yet another blow to the already-struggling legacy media apparatus following President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory.

According to The Ankler newsletter, MSNBC executives are currently negotiating the contracts and salaries of well-known figures Joy Reid and Stephanie Ruhle, both of whom have viciously compared Trump to Adolf Hitler.

Reid, who hosts The ReidOut, is reportedly making $3 million a year, while Ruhle, who hosts The 11th Hour, is believed to earn $2 million, as reported by the New York Post and the Washington Free Beacon.

The potential pay cuts follow a $5 million salary reduction for anchor Rachel Maddow, who previously earned $30 million. The pay cuts also coincide with cable news networks struggling to maintain viewership as Americans turn to independent journalism and podcasts.

MSNBC’s leftist bias may be fueling this viewership exodus. In a pre-Thanksgiving segment, Reid accused Republicans of worshipping Trump “instead of Jesus.”

Furthermore, during a segment leading up to the 2024 election, she declared: “We’ve laid out the stakes in this crucial election where one side stands for freedom while the other meets the textbook definition of fascism; namely, a far-right dictatorial regime like Hitler’s Germany or Franco’s Spain or Mussolini’s Italy but also White-ruled South Africa before Mandela and the black majority took control, or Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Viktor Orbán’s Hungary or Nicolás Muro in Venezuela.”

Ruhle has made similar claims. “Let’s also talk about this Atlantic reporting that Donald Trump allegedly said he wanted the kind of generals that Adolf Hitler had,” Ruhle said during a segment of her show, repeating dubious claims. “Shocking! Or is it?”

The potential pay cuts come as both Reid and Ruhle have seen significant drops in viewership.

Following Trump’s election, Reid lost nearly half her audience, averaging 759,000 viewers in one week compared to 1.4 million viewers through the election season.

Reid also faced a 52 percent loss in the desired demographic of viewers aged 25-54, drawing only 76,000 viewers.

In the week of Nov. 6, Ruhle experienced her lowest overall audience ever, while MSNBC averaged just 38,000 viewers among adults aged 25-54. She has also lost over 50 percent of this advertiser-targeted demographic.

Earlier this week, Ruhle gained viral attention for admitting that Trump is more accessible than outgoing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, both of whom she had previously shielded with softball interview questions during the 2024 race.

Cuomo Moves to Sue a Former Aide Who Accused Him of Sexual Harassment

(Headline USA) Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday filed a legal notice that he intends to sue a woman who accused him of sexual harassment.

The filing accuses former aide Charlotte Bennett of defaming Cuomo in a Dec. 9 statement that said the former governor sexually harassed her.

Bennett came forward in 2021 as the second woman to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment, alleging he subjected her to invasive questions about her personal life and sexual relationships.

Cuomo denies Bennett’s allegations. She later sued over the alleged misconduct in separate cases in state and federal court.

Cuomo resigned in 2021 after a report from the state attorney general found he sexually harassed at least 11 women.

Earlier this month, Bennett dropped her federal lawsuit against Cuomo before she was to be deposed.

In a statement announcing the case was being dropped, a law firm representing Bennett said Cuomo “sexually harassed” her. Bennett reposted the statement on the social platform X.

Cuomo’s attorneys wrote on Thursday that the statement “was false and defamatory, and Bennett made it knowing full well that it was false and intending to cause harm to Governor Cuomo.”

His lawyers added that “Cuomo fully intends to clear his name and to ensure that Bennett and her agents never again repeat the falsehood that he sexually harassed Bennett.”

Cuomo is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, according to the filing.

Bennett’s attorney on Thursday said a defamation case from Cuomo has no merit.

“There is a long history of using defamation lawsuits to silence and punish accusers of sexual harassment. It is shameful that Mr. Cuomo has apparently now chosen to go down that path,” said attorney Debra S. Katz.

Bennett’s lawsuit in state court is ongoing.

A separate investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice found that Cuomo subjected at least 13 state employees to a sexually hostile work environment and that his staffers retaliated against four women who raised complaints.

A spokesman for Cuomo noted that five district attorneys in New York chose not to pursue charges against Cuomo after examining the allegations.

Cuomo, a Democrat, has denied the allegations and has dismissed the investigations as political smears. He has spent the years since his resignation working to rehabilitate his image and hint at a return to political office.

He is rumored to be considering a run for mayor of New York City.

Trump Praises New House GOP Plan to Avert Shutdown, Raise Debt Ceiling

(Headline USA) President-elect Donald Trump announced “success” in coming up with a new plan to fund the government and lift the debt ceiling a day before a government shutdown, urging Congress to swiftly pass it in votes as soon as Thursday evening.

Trump’s social media post landed as Republicans said they had narrowed in on a tentative accord after grueling closed-door talks.

The new plan would keep government running for three more months, add disaster assistance for hurricane-hit states and others, and allow more borrowing through Jan. 30, 2027, Republicans said.

“SUCCESS in Washington! Speaker Mike Johnson and the House have come to a very good Deal,” Trump posted.

Next steps were highly uncertain, and it was particularly unclear if Democrats—whose votes would certainly be needed on any package in the face of hardline Republican opposition—were on board, or even brought into any negotiations.

A government shutdown at risk, Johnson has been fighting to figure out how to meet Trump’s sudden demands—and keep his own job—while federal offices are being told to prepare to shutter operations ahead of Friday’s midnight deadline.

Trump said early Thursday that Johnson will “easily remain speaker” for the next Congress if he “acts decisively and tough” in coming up with a new plan to also increase the debt limit, a stunning request just before the Christmas holidays that has put the beleaguered speaker in a bind.

And if not, the president-elect warned of trouble ahead for Johnson and Republicans in Congress.

“Anybody that supports a bill that doesn’t take care of the Democrat quicksand known as the debt ceiling should be primaried and disposed of as quickly as possible,” Trump told Fox News Digital.

The tumultuous turn of events, coming just before Friday’s midnight deadline to fund the government and as lawmakers were preparing to head home for the holidays, sparks a familiar reminder of what it’s like in Trump-run Washington, as the Swamp-friendly backslapping of RINOs and Democrats colluding to fleece U.S. taxpayers on nebulous omnibus deals laden with pork grinds to an abrupt halt.

Trump led Republicans into the longest government shutdown in history during the 2018 Christmas season, and interrupted the lawmakers’ holidays in 2020 by tanking a bipartisan COVID-relief bill and forcing a do-over. However, Congress has itself to blame for waiting until the final deadline to try to broker a deal, while hoping the sense of panic and urgency will allow less scrutiny of the final product.

It has been 28 years since Congress last passed a budget on time, as Reason magazine noted in April 2023. Instead, it has routinely relied on the continuing resolution process to forestall making potentially difficult or unpopular decisions on where to trim the fat.

For Johnson, who faces his own problems ahead of a Jan. 3 House vote to remain speaker, Trump’s demands kept him working long into the night to broker a new deal. Vice President-elect JD Vance joined the late-night meetings at the Capitol, bringing his young son in pajamas.

“We had a productive meeting. We’re going to continue to work through the night, in the morning to get, to get an agreement,” said Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., as he left the speaker’s office late Wednesday.

As Democrats seethed over the influence that billionaire Elon Musk had in derailing the original CR agreement, some fiscal conservatives floated the idea of giving Musk the speaker’s gavel, since the speaker is not required to be a member of the Congress.

But adding an increase in the debt ceiling to what had been a bipartisan package is a show-stopper for Republicans who routinely vote against more borrowing.

The current debt limit expires on Jan. 1 2025 and threatens to bog down the start of the new administration with months of negotiations to raise it. Trump wants the problem off the table before he joins the White House.

As senior Republicans broke from a Thursday morning meeting in the House speaker’s office there was no resolution yet.

Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., the third-ranking Republican in leadership, said the situation was “fluid.”

Federal funding is scheduled to expire at midnight Friday, a current temporary government funding bill running out as Congress was preparing a new one to keep things running for a few months.

House Democrats emerged from a closed-door meeting Thursday angry about the collapse of bipartisan legislation, saying a deal is a deal and that they were standing by the agreement they reached with Johnson and Republicans.

Trump’s new demands for a debt-limit increase were “premature,” claimed Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

“This reckless Republican driven shutdown can be avoided,” Jeffries said. Republicans should “simply do what is right for the American people and stick with the bipartisan agreement that they themselves negotiated.”

While Democrats have floated their own ideas in the past for lifting, or even doing away with the debt-limit caps that have created some of the toughest debates in Congress, they appear to be in no bargaining mood to save Johnson from Trump—even before the president-elect is sworn into office.

“Here we are once again in chaos,” said House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, who detailed the harm a government shutdown would cause Americans. “And what for? Because Elon Musk, an unelected man, said, ‘We’re not doing this deal, and Donald Trump followed along.’”

The White House’s Office of Management and Budget had provided initial communication to agencies about lapse planning last week, according to an official at the agency.

Late Wednesday, the Republicans floated a new idea for a scaled-back bill that would simply keep the government running and provide the disaster assistance to hurricane ravaged regions.

But almost as soon as it was being mentioned, Trump posted on social media he didn’t like that plan either.

Scalise said he understands Trump “wants to start the presidency on a sound footing and we want him to as well.”

But, Scalise said, “obviously we’ve got to get through this first and we’re going to get it resolved, hopefully tomorrow.”

NCAA President Suggests Women Use a Different Restroom if Uncomfortable w/ Trans Athletes

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) NCAA President Charlie Baker said women could use a different restroom if they were uncomfortable with transgender athletes.

Baker made the comments during a Tuesday Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

“Everybody else should have an opportunity to use other facilities if they wish to do so,” he said.

Baker defended the NCAA stance on allowing transgender athletes to use the restrooms and locker rooms.

“I believe our guidelines give people optionality in how they choose to use their facilities,” Baker said. “We told the local folks who hosted our tournaments that they need to make accommodations for the people who are playing.”

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., grilled Baker over allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports.

“Why do you support allowing transgender women, who are biological males, to compete against nontransgender biological females?” Kennedy said. “You are allowing biological males to compete against biological females, and you folks at the NCAA don’t do anything except sit there, watch, cash your checks and suck on your teeth.”

Baker said it was debatable whether transgender athletes have an advantage.

“There’s not a lot of research on it, but it’s certainly debatable,” he told Kennedy.

Kennedy reframed the question and asked if a biological male would have an advantage over a biological female.

The president ended up agreeing with Kennedy.

In 2022 Payton McNabb was forced to end her volleyball career after a transgender opponent spiked a ball at her, according to the New York Post.

She was diagnosed with a series of issues from the incident, including a traumatic brain injury, partial paralysis, a brain bleed, and on going memory loss.

“It was 100% avoidable, if only my rights as a female athlete had been more important than a man’s feelings,” McNabb told the outlet.

She added that she will never be silent on the issue.

“Every single person that fights for truth, people absolutely attack them, but it doesn’t bother me because I know what I’m saying is common sense,” she said.

U.S. Prison System Doesn’t Have Enough Room for the Criminally Insane

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) In May, a U.S. judge ordered that alleged Satanic pedophile Angel Almeida be hospitalized for four months before she determines whether he has the mental capacity to stand trial for his role in the online abuse of children.

It took roughly six months before Almeida was transferred. During that time, he continued to sit in solitary confinement, which “exacerbated Angel’s psychosis,” his lawyers argued in October.

Almeida’s was transferred within days of his lawyers filing a motion that alleged constitutional rights violations.

“At this point, Angel has been held awaiting hospitalization for longer than the period Congress authorized for the entire length of a defendant’s hospitalization,” his lawyers said on Oct. 19.

“The highly restrictive conditions within the [solitary confinement] have undoubtedly exacerbated Angel’s psychosis.”

A judge ordered the Justice Department to explain why Almeida wasn’t transferred. The DOJ filed an explanation, but it remains sealed. The DOJ then informed the judge on Nov. 12 that Almeida was transferred to a psych ward on Nov. 6.

Future hearings have not been set as Almeida remains under psychological evaluation.

The Almeida case seems to be a microcosm of the broken U.S. Bureau of Prisons’ broken mental illness facilities. A DOJ Inspector General’s report from earlier this month highlights some of the other problems, including staffing shortages and decrepit facilities.

For example, at Federal Medical Center Devens, which houses inmates with serious mental health conditions, only about 80% of the staffing positions are filled, according to the DOJ-OIG. FMC Devins does have room—it’s only at about 66% capacity—but Almeida may not have been transferred there because it’s a minimum-security facility.

FMC Devens was also found to have serious infrastructure issues due to a plethora of unfunded repair projects, including roof repairs and replacement of cooling and heating systems. The facility told the DOJ-OIG that the repairs cost $15 million, which it doesn’t have.
