‘Free Palestine’: US Serviceman Lights Himself on Fire Outside Israeli Embassy

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A member of the U.S. Air Force set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in D.C., leading to his hospitalization in critical condition, several outlets confirmed on Sunday.

The man live-streamed the incident on the social media platform Twitch, identifying himself as an active-duty member of the Air Force before pouring a substance on himself and igniting the fire.

The reason behind the self-inflicted fire? Israel’s military operation against Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.

“I will no longer be complicit in genocide,” the man said, dressed in military attire.

“I’m about to engage in an extreme act of protest,” he continued as he walked along the sidewalk outside the Israeli embassy “When compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, this is not extreme at all.”

The video, now viral on social media, showed him bending over with an apparent lighter before a security guard approached him. “May I help you, sir?” the guard can be heard saying, but the serviceman was undeterred.

“Free Palestine,” he uttered in a seemingly calm tone. “Free Palestine!” he repeated, enduring the self-inflicted fire.

The serviceman managed to repeat “Free Palestine” at least four more times before visibly groaning in pain.

“Man on fire! Man on fire!” somebody can be heard shouting in the background. “Get a fire extinguisher, get a fire extinguisher,” another voice exclaimed.

Law enforcement alarms blared before armed policemen came to the rescue of the man, deploying a fire extinguisher.

The U.S. Secret Service, coming to the man’s aid, managed to reach him after he apparently succumbed to the fire, the New York Times confirmed on Sunday.

According to Israeli spokesperson Tal Naim, the fire did not harm any members of the Israeli Embassy.

James Comer Reveals Disturbing ‘Pattern’ in James Biden Evidence

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Two House GOP investigators affirmed that newly released evidence that shows James Biden referencing President Joe Biden’s involvement with Americore, a healthcare company, further exposes a “pattern” of influence peddling.

According to a Politico report, James Biden mentioned Joe Biden in an email to an Americore executive, seemingly trying to secure business with the now-defunct company.

“This would be a perfect platform to expose my Brothers team to [your] protocol,” James Biden conveyed to the CEO of a separate company handling Americore’s licensing. “Could provide a great opportunity for some real exposure.”

On Sunday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., addressed the email in an interview with Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures.

“There’s a pattern here of where both Hunter Biden and Jim Biden influence peddled with prospective clients that were going to in turn pay them huge sums of money,” Comer declared. “Their pitch was: ‘Joe Biden not only is our relative, but Joe Biden wants an equity ownership stake. Joe Biden even wants a seat on the board.’”

Comer revealed that the influence-peddling plans were exposed within CEFC, a Chinese company with ties to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

“We’ve seen this with two former Biden associates now have confirmed this with CEFC, and now we have the third, Jim Biden, who’s confirmed… through evidence that you just mentioned said this with Americore health,” Comer added.

The House Oversight chairman that that the email showed a “pattern of how the Biden family operated.” Comer continued, “Not only did they wink and nod that they were related to Joe Biden, they made the people believe that Joe Biden was going to actually take an ownership interest in these schemes.”

Comer’s remarks come as House Republicans investigate Joe Biden in an impeachment inquiry over allegations of influence peddling, political corruption and an alleged bribe that is now at the center of a criminal indictment by the DOJ against the former FBI informant who brought such allegations to light.

Rep. Donalds Rallies Behind Trump Amid So-Called Racist Comparison

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., is standing behind former President Donald Trump amid criticism stemming from comments made at the Black Conservative Federation Gala on Friday.

“The president was really just enjoying himself,” Donalds clarified during a Sunday interview on NBC’s Meet the Press. “It was a great celebration for black conservatives across our country.”

Critics, including Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, voiced their discontent after the former president compared his criminal indictments to discrimination faced by black Americans during his gala speech. Trump also suggested that his black support is influenced by the legal challenges he is currently facing.

“I got indicted a second time and a third time and a fourth time—and a lot of people said that’s why the black people like me because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against,” Trump stated. “They actually viewed me as I’m being discriminated against.”

Some individuals took issue with Trump’s remarks, including Haley who called the comparison “disgusting.” She also clamed that Trump’s comments were “huge warning sign” that voters should not back him in 2024.

But Donalds, who is black, concurred with the former president and GOP presidential hopeful, asserting that the indictments faced by the president are led by either Democrats or Democrat-appointed prosecutors.

“Yes, this is political persecution from the Department of Justice and from radical DAs throughout our country,” Donalds affirmed. “This is something similar that black people had to deal with — with the justice system themselves.”

Trump is currently facing a thirty-four-count indictment over hush money payments in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election. Soros-linked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is leading the case after campaigning for DA in 2021 on investigating the former president.

Special Counsel Jack Smith, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, charged Trump with 37 felonies over the former president’s handling of what he described as personal White House records.

President Joe Biden has privately expressed his regret that Garland did not expedite the cases against Trump, his likely opponent in the 2024 presidential election.

Smith charged Trump with four counts related to Jan. 6, following the anti-Trump House Jan. 6 Committee’s recommendation for charges against the former president.

Not to be outdone by Smith and Bragg, Fulton County District Attorney General Fani Willis, also a Democrat, charged Trump and 18 other co-defendants in alleged criminal efforts to question the 2020 election results in Georgia.

Willis is currently under scrutiny for appointing her lover, Nathan Wade, to lead the Trump case. She has taken several vacation trips allegedly paid for by Wade using his Fulton County contract—granted by Willis, creating a glaring appearance of conflicts of interest.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat who pledged to pursue the Trump Organization during her 2018 campaign, secured a $350 million judgment against the Trump-owned company over alleged financial fraud.

U.S. and England Bomb Yemen, Again

(Headline USA) The U.S. and Britain struck 18 Houthi targets in Yemen on Saturday.

According to U.S. officials, American and British fighter jets hit sites in eight locations, targeting missiles, launchers, rockets, drones and air defense systems. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in order to provide early details of an ongoing military operation.

This is the fourth time that the U.S. and British militaries have conducted a combined operation against the Houthis since Jan. 12. But the U.S. has also been carrying out almost daily strikes to take out Houthi targets, including incoming missiles and drones aimed at ships, as well as weapons that were prepared to launch.

The U.S. F/A-18 fighter jets launched from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier, which is currently in the Red Sea, officials said.

“The United States will not hesitate to take action, as needed, to defend lives and the free flow of commerce in one of the world’s most critical waterways,” said U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. “We will continue to make clear to the Houthis that they will bear the consequences if they do not stop their illegal attacks.”

The Houthis denounced the “US-British aggression” and vowed to keep up its military operation in response. “The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that they will confront the US-British escalation with more qualitative military operations against all hostile targets in the Red and Arabian Seas in defense of our country, our people and our nation,” it said in a statement.

The U.S., U.K., and other allies said in a statement the “necessary and proportionate strikes specifically targeted 18 Houthi targets across 8 locations in Yemen” that also included underground storage facilities, radar and a helicopter.

U.K. Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said RAF Typhoon jets engaged in “precision strikes” aimed at degrading Houthi drones and launchers. Shapps said it came after “severe Houthi attacks against commercial ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, including against the British-owned MV Islander and the MV Rubymar, which forced the crew to abandon ship.” It’s the fourth time Britain has joined in the U.S.-led strikes.

The strikes have support from the wider coalition, which includes Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands and New Zealand.

Idaho to Execute Infamous Serial Killer

(Headline USA) Idaho is set to execute Thomas Eugene Creech, an infamous serial killer, after housing him for nearly 50 years.

Barring any last-minute stay, the 73-year-old, one of the nation’s longest-serving death row inmates, will be executed by lethal injection for killing a fellow prisoner with a battery-filled sock in 1981.

Creech’s killing of David Jensen, a young, disabled man who was serving time for car theft, was his last in a broad path of destruction that saw Creech convicted of five murders in three states. He is also suspected of at least a half-dozen others.

Creech’s attorneys have filed a flurry of last-minute appeals in four different courts in recent months trying to halt the execution, which would be Idaho’s first in 12 years. They have argued Idaho’s refusal to say where its execution drug was obtained violates his rights and that he received ineffective assistance of counsel.

A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday rejected an argument that Creech should not be executed because he was sentenced by a judge rather than a jury.

It’s not clear how many people Creech, an Ohio native, killed before he was imprisoned in Idaho in 1974. At one point he claimed to have killed as many as 50 people, but many of the confessions were made under the influence of now discredited “truth serum” drugs and filled with tales of occult-driven human sacrifice and contract killings for a powerful motorcycle gang.

Official estimates vary, but authorities tend to focus on 11 deaths. Creech’s attorneys did not immediately return phone calls from The Associated Press.

In 1973, Creech was tried for the murder of 70-year-old Paul Schrader, a retiree who was stabbed to death in the Tucson, Arizona, motel where Creech was living. Creech used Schrader’s credit cards and vehicle to leave Tucson for Portland, Oregon. A jury acquitted him, but authorities say they have no doubt he was responsible.

The next year, Creech was committed to Oregon State Hospital for a few months. He earned a weekend pass and traveled to Sacramento, California, where he killed Vivian Grant Robinson at her home. Creech then used Robinson’s phone to let the hospital know he would return a day late. That crime went unsolved until Creech later confessed while in custody in Idaho; he wasn’t convicted until 1980.

After he was released from the Oregon State Hospital, Creech got a job at a church in Portland doing maintenance work. He had living quarters at the church, and it was there he shot and killed 22-year-old William Joseph Dean in 1974. Authorities believe he then fatally shot Sandra Jane Ramsamooj at the Salem grocery store where she worked.

Creech was finally arrested in November 1974. He and a girlfriend were hitchhiking in Idaho when they were picked up by two painters, Thomas Arnold and John Bradford. Creech shot both men to death and the girlfriend cooperated with authorities.

While in custody, Creech confessed to a number of other killings. Some appeared to be fabricated, but he provided information that led police to the bodies of Gordon Lee Stanton and Charles Thomas Miller near Las Vegas, and of Rick Stewart McKenzie, 22, near Baggs, Wyoming.

Creech initially was sentenced to death for killing the painters. But after the U.S. Supreme Court barred automatic death sentences in 1976, his sentence was converted to life in prison.

That changed after he killed Jensen, who was serving time for car theft. Jensen’s life hadn’t been easy: He suffered a nearly fatal gun injury as a teen that left him with serious disabilities including partial paralysis.

Jensen’s relatives opposed Creech’s bid for clemency. They described Jensen as a gentle soul and a prankster who loved hunting and spending time outdoors, who was “the peanut butter” to his sister’s jelly. His daughter, who was 4 when he was killed, spoke of how she never got to know him, and how unfair it was that Creech is still around when her father isn’t.

DeSantis to Send National Guard Members to the Southern Border

(Andrew Powell, The Center Square) — Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Friday the deployment of Florida National Guard troops, along with state troopers, to the southern border.

DeSantis said at a news conference in Pensacola that 76 members of the Florida Highway Patrol are being sent, while 50 National Guardsmen will also be deployed Friday night from Plant City.

“The Highway Patrol is gonna be leaving out of here momentarily, so this is part of a years-long effort for us to help do what the federal government has refused to do, which is to actually defend this country’s borders,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis said that the number of people that have illegally entered across the border over the past three years has been astronomical and added that numbers have gone down thanks to the response of the Texas government and other states that are also helping stem the flow.

“We want to be a part of that, we think this is an American issue, partially just because we should have a secure country, and then partially the effects of this border invasion go to all 50 states,” DeSantis said. “We’re thankful for our folks; the morale is great, and people believe in the mission.”

DeSantis noted that National Guardsmen who are going to the border are going voluntarily and added that states can’t let the border invasion continue.

“We were the first state to really offer big support three years ago in 2021 because we saw the direction that this was gonna take, so we’re gonna continue to be in this fight until the problem is solved, and we need to have the problem solved,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis noted that the security and lives of Americans depend on having the border crisis resolved.

“The state of Florida will continue to step up where the federal government fails,” DeSantis said.

When asked about the number of military-age Chinese nationals that are illegally coming across the border — which are now larger than the number of Mexican nationals — DeSantis said he could understand why people would come from Mexico but not China.

“Why would you come from all across the world through the southern border of this country?” DeSantis said. “I think the chances are that there’s some bad intentions there for some of these people, and it’s a huge, huge problem, especially when you look at all these problem countries in this world that have had people come through.”

COVID-19 Money Will Pay Residents’ Medical Debts

(David Beasley, The Center Square) – The Orange County Commission has agreed to spend $4.5 million in leftover federal COVID-19 relief funds to pay off the medical debts of county residents.

A group called Central Florida Jobs with Justice requested that the county spend $8.7 million of COVID-19 relief money for medical debt relief, according to a county presentation on the question.

Orange County is in central Florida, with population of about 1.4 million. The county seat is Orlando.

The amount could wipe out $827 million in debt for 300,000 Orange County residents, the group said. Medical debt can be purchased for “pennies on the dollar,” the county’s presentation said.

“Medical debt relief is important,” Commissioner Maribel Gomez Cordero said. “I want to help our community with this problem.”

Medical debt relief is a “negotiated process,” with medical providers said Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings.

Other governments such as Cook County, Ill., and New Orleans have approved similar programs, Demings said.

“We do have the experience of those communities,” he said. “If we make the decision that we want to participate in the medical relief program, at least there are some other metropolitan communities that have gone before us. They can better explain to us their outcome, how did it work within their respective jurisdictions.”

Health care is a right, said Vice Mayor Nicole Wilson.

“There shouldn’t be some kind of qualification in a country this wealthy,” she said.

However, she questioned whether the county could negotiate directly with health care providers without having to use a third party nonprofit specializing in that field, which Wilson described as a “middle man.”

Third-party negotiators can be valuable in bringing about debt settlement, Demings said.

“There’s a certain skill set that these companies have with collecting debt that we really don’t have,” he said. “The scale of what we’re talking about here is pretty extraordinary.”

Although the commission did not approve the full amount requested by Central Florida Jobs With Justice, it was a start, Demings said.

“We may not have gone all the way,” he said. “But if that is the consensus of the board, that is the direction we are going to give staff.”

Fani Willis Dismisses ‘Booty’ Call Data as Irrelevant in Trump Case

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has addressed damning cellphone data that shows Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade near her residence late at night, just moments before she selected him to lead the criminal case against former President Donald Trump.

According to the New York Post, Willis downplayed the implications of the evidence in court documents submitted to the court over the weekend, claiming that it fails to “prove anything” regarding the contentious timeline of her relationship with Wade and the initiation of the criminal case.

“The records do nothing more than demonstrate that Special Prosecutor Wade’s telephone was located somewhere within a densely populated multiple-mile radius where various residences, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and other businesses are located,” Willis’s office wrote in the 48-page filing.

Willis’s prosecutors argued that the files do not contextualize “the content of the communications” between the two individuals. “[T]hey do not prove that Special Prosecutor Wade was ever at any particular location or address; they do not prove that Special Prosecutor Wade and District Attorney Willis were ever in the same place during any of the times listed,” they continued.

Willis’s response follows the submission of cellphone data subpoenas by Trump’s attorneys, contradicting Willis’s claims that her relationship with Wade did not begin until after she appointed him.

Willis’s pushback aims to alleviate concerns that she hired Wade due to their love affair. The evidence shows that Willis may have benefited from Wade’s contract with Fulton County.

According to the Post, Wade allegedly visited Willis’s residence at least 35 times before their affair began. Critics have labeled these encounters as “booty” calls, suggesting they were sexual appointments.

Trump and some co-defendants are seeking to disqualify Willis from the prosecution, citing allegations of a conflict of interest and other concerns.

Trump Secures South Carolina Victory, Dealing a Blow to Haley’s Lunacy

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump won the South Carolina Republican primary, defeating former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who infamously served two terms as the state’s governor.

Trump’s triumph was so commanding that the Associated Press declared him the winner based on a voter survey immediately after the polls closed, cementing his position as the presumptive nominee and a powerhouse within the Republican Party ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

“The race call was based on a comprehensive survey of South Carolina Republican primary voters that showed him defeating Nikki Haley by wide margins in her home state,” the AP reported Saturday.

South Carolina marks the latest state that has endorsed Trump as its preferred candidate, with the former president securing victories in Iowa, New Hampshire and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Despite predictions of her defeat, Haley committed on Saturday to remaining on the race until Super Tuesday, when several states hold their primaries. Nevertheless, multiple polls indicate that a majority of GOP voters favor Trump over Haley.

Haley’s defeat followed the damning endorsements of prominent GOP figures in South Carolina who threw their support behind Trump instead of her. Gov. Henry McMaster, Sen. Tim Scott and Sen. Lindsey Graham are among the Trump backers.

Earlier on the day of the election, Haley shared a video of an interview with Fox News before the polls closed. “I will tell you how I’m measuring the day: today was a day of complete gratitude; I had the opportunity to go to the voting booth with my mom,” Haley said.

However, she fell short despite her efforts and personal ties to the state. Video footage captured a cheering crowd eagerly awaiting Trump’s victory speech in South Carolina.

“Trump! Trump! Trump!” echoed the chants of the crowd.

A ‘MAGA’ Reunion: Trump and Milei’s Heartwarming Encounter at CPAC

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump and Argentinian President Javier Milei shared a backstage moment at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2024.

Both Trump and Milei were featured speakers at CPAC on Saturday and delivered a heart heartwarming scene, with the two embracing and speaking highly of each other. Notably, the personality styles of the two leaders have been compared in the past.

“President!” an excited Milei shouted to Trump before offering a handshake and a hug. “Nice to meet you!” he added.

“I’m very happy, you’ve been very generous,” Milei continued, likely referring to Trump’s previous endorsements of the newly elected Argentinean leader.

Milei won the presidential election in late 2023, triumphing over former President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (not related).

Fernández de Kirchner, a former first lady and former president herself, was sentenced to six years in prison for political corruption.

Milei’s victory, marked by his populist and powerful persona, has drawn comparisons to Trump’s rise to power in 2016 and his potential electoral victory in 2024.

“You’re doing a great job, I’m proud of you,” Trump complimented Milei, before adding: “MAGA! Make Argentina Great Again.”

The duo continued embracing each other before posing for a photo.

“You’re fantastic!” Trump exclaimed before Milei began speaking to him while Y.M.C.A. by Village People played in the background. The song has become an emblem of Trump rallies.

While it isn’t immediately clear what Milei told Trump, the former president replied: “And I won’t forget you, I promise you.”

Milei seemed to express hope that Trump wins the 2024 presidential election where he will likely face President Joe Biden. “I hope to see you again,” he added. “The next time… you as president.”

An agreeing Trump said, “And I hope so too.”

The duo concluded their brief meeting with Trump saying, “Make Argentina Great Again,” and Milei echoing: “¡Viva la libertad carajo!” (Long live liberty, damn it!).

“For hard-working Americans, Nov. 5 will be our new Liberation Day,” Trump said. “But for the liars, and cheaters, and fraudsters, and censors and imposters who have commandeered our government, it will be their Judgment Day.”
