Leaked Doc. Exposes Plot to Pressure Republicans to Protect Biden’s ‘Green’ Agenda

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently revealed that a radical trade association wants to aggressively pressure Republican lawmakers into not supporting legislation that would strip away Joe Biden’s green energy policies and subsidies.

The 66-page document that was exclusively obtained by Breitbart was reportedly leaked from an environmental activist group called the American Clean Power Association (ACA).

“[ACA is the] leading voice of more than 800 companies from across the clean power sector that are committed to meeting America’s national security, economic and climate goals with fast-growing, low-cost, and reliable domestic power,” according to the association’s website.

The “ACP Confidential Information” was stamped on every page of the document, which means that it likely wasn’t intended for public viewing, the news source reported.

The document broke down a financial report for the association and other normal-looking business items for such an association.

However, Breitbart pointed out that deeper into the document, beginning on page 13, details were provided as to how funds would be spent to “protect the Biden agenda—and specifically the IRA—from the Republicans on Capitol Hill and from former President Donald Trump should he win the election in November.”

The association could do that, considering that it has roughly $50 million in cash, on hand, to aggressively protect the Inflation Reduction Act from Republican interference.

One of the sections in the document made it clear that it intends to spend whatever is necessary to protect Biden’s IRA.

“Based on this request, the staff is proposing to spend $7M for a surge campaign, with $5M from ACP’s reserve funds to help implement and insulate the IRA from repeal or harmful revision. The Finance Committee reaffirms that ACP’s financial position enables this level of expenditure in 2024,” the section stated.

According to Breitbart, the leaked document was made public shortly after a New York Times report about Donald Trump, and conservatives in general, having Biden’s IRA in the “crosshairs” was published.

BuzzFeed Goes Broke, Sells Complex for $108.6M, Announces Layoffs

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) BuzzFeed announced that it will lay off dozens of employees after selling Complex, just a little more than two years after buying the business.

According to BuzzFeed’s Feb. 21, 2024, press release, the sale will form a “new and wide-ranging destination for the future of commerce and media.” The Epoch Times reported that the company announced the $108.6 million all-cash deal.

An additional $5.7 million will be earmarked for the use of the company’s New York offices, severance costs and other employment-related costs.

The sale of Complex is expected to enhance its profitability and allow for greater focus on BuzzFeed, HuffPost, First We Feast and Tasty while also aiding BuzzFeed in taking “meaningful steps toward strengthening its balance sheet and improving liquidity,” the press release stated.

Complex was purchased by BuzzFeed in a nearly $300 million deal in 2021.

As part of the company’s “planned strategic restructuring intended to reduce expenses,” BuzzFeed will also be scrapping 16% of its workforce — a move it expects will yield about $23 million in annualized compensation cost savings.

The press release also added that the “restructuring” is aimed at reducing centralized costs and enabling the company to become “more agile, sustainable and profitable.”

BuzzFeed, First We Feast, HuffPost and Tasty will “each operate entrepreneurially with individual strategies and revenue lines tailored to market and audience dynamics” under the new structure.

The job cuts at the company came nearly a year after it laid off 15% of its workforce and shut down its news division amid a slowdown in digital advertising, shifts in audience behavior and a declining economy, the news source reported. In addition to that, BuzzFeed also cut about 180 staff members in late 2022.

Among other media outlets and publishers that also announced layoffs in recent months were the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Condé Nast, Business Insider, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal.

It was also recently revealed that Soros-backed Vice Media isn’t doing so well either, with the company announcing that it will temporarily shut down operations, lay off hundreds of staffers and cease online publication.

Florida Authorities to Mexican Cartels: ‘We Will Find Them and Eliminate Them’

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) – State, local and federal law enforcement agencies continue to target Mexican cartel drug crimes occurring in Florida.

Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution on Friday secured a 25-year prison sentence for a Latin King gang member involved in a massive drug trafficking organization. Simultaneously, multiple federal agencies and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida continue to secure victories against Mexican cartel operatives facilitating illicit drug smuggling and trafficking in Florida.

Moody’s announcement relates to a multi-agency investigation into a Mexican cartel and Sur-13 gang (Sureños) drug trafficking ring operating in Florida prisons with the intent to traffic and sell fentanyl and methamphetamine in Florida.

Investigators discovered that Sureños gang members, working with MS-13 and Latin Kings gang members, under “the criminal organization’s ruling body called the Mesa,” authorized gang requests to execute inmates in Florida prisons and distribute drugs sourced from Mexico and California.

Using contraband cellphones, gang members contacted each other in prisons located in Brevard, Charlotte, Holmes and Miami-Dade counties, as well as gang members and drug dealers outside of their prisons to facilitate drug shipments and deliveries.

The prison sentence announced this week was for one of the drug dealers operating outside of the prison who was charged with two counts of conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine over 200 grams. It was the first of 25 defendants likely to be sentenced for their role in the drug ring who are still awaiting trial.

Authorities seized enough fentanyl to kill more than 11 million Floridians – more than half of the state’s population. They also seized over 380 pounds of methamphetamines and approximately five pounds of cocaine.

“Lethal substances are flooding into our country due to Biden’s disastrous open border and we must continue to be dogged in our efforts to interdict this poison and aggressively prosecute traffickers,” Moody said.

The announcement came less than two years after she first announced a multi-agency operation shut down the crime ring and arrested 25 people on 64 first-degree felony counts, including many already incarcerated.

The investigation was conducted by officers with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations and Hendry County Sheriff’s Office. Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden said that while his team may be smaller than others, his “narcotics unit is exceptionally adept at targeting major drug traffickers.”

He also warned gang and cartel members: “if they set up in Hendry County, we will find them and eliminate them.”

The sentencing came one year after 22 attorneys general, including Moody, called on Congress to change federal law to allow states to jam contraband cell phones in prisons.

Prisoners are using contraband cell phones to conduct illegal activity “with no way to block them, and are posing an active threat to public safety,” including to “organize murders, riots, drug deals, fraud,” they wrote in a letter to congressional leaders. “If inmates were blocked from using contraband cell phones, we could prevent serious levels of drug trafficking, deadly riots and other crimes from happening,” they argued.

Congress has yet to act on their request.

As Moody’s cases move through court, several cases have been successfully prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida against Columbian and Mexican nationals involved with Mexican cartels.

A 52-year-old Columbian national was sentenced to 17.5 years in federal prison earlier this month for recruiting mariners to traffic cocaine to the Sinaloa Cartel. Known as “Galladita,” he was sentenced for conspiring to distribute cocaine on vessels subject to U.S. jurisdiction, the DEA announced.

According to court records, Galladita, a member of a transnational criminal organization, dispatched self-propelled semi-submersible (SPSS) vessels from Colombia into the Pacific Ocean to reach Sinaloa Cartel members in Oaxaca, Mexico. He also recruited SPSS crew members for the trips, delivered money to them, and assisted with SPSS departures. Two SPSS vessels were interdicted in international waters by organized crime DEA task force agents who seized more than 12,000 kilograms of cocaine.

The investigation involved multiple federal agencies and defendants were prosecuted in the Middle District of Florida. Galladita pleaded guilty in 2019 after he was arrested and extradited from Columbia.

Mexican nationals were also recently sentenced in separate federal cases in Florida. One faces 10 years in federal prison for conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. Another with prior convictions committed another crime after being released from prison on supervised release after having served 18 years in federal prison on drug trafficking and firearms charges. After being arrested, charged and tried, he was sentenced in January to more than 10 years in federal prison for possession with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Colo. Town Unanimously Votes to Remain Non-Sanctuary City

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A small Colorado town’s council unanimously voted to affirm that the town is a non-sanctuary city after the leftist mayor of Denver admitted that the city is hitting its “breaking point” with the influx of illegal aliens.

On Feb. 21, the mayor of Monument, a rural municipality that is located between Colorado Springs and Denver, joined Fox & Friends to criticize Denver’s use of local resources to support people who came into this country.

“The goal is to make sure that Denver knows that we will not be accepting any busloads of migrants into our community. The main reason is that we don’t have a budget that matches theirs, and we won’t utilize taxpayer funds for the support of what they’ve decided to take on themselves as a self-declared sanctuary city,” Mayor Mitch LaKind.

Monument’s council made the unanimous decision to formally confirm its non-sanctuary status on Feb. 20, 2024, after Democratic Denver Mayor Mike Johnston took to NBC’s Meet the Press Now in January to say that his sanctuary city will “hit a capacity at which we just won’t be able anymore to manage the amount of inflow,” according to Breitbart.

“We’re hitting a breaking point at which there’s just not enough volume of work or housing in the city to support this ongoing volume,” he said.

During his appearance on Fox News, LaKind said that his town doesn’t have any “room” for illegals.

The same day, LaKind celebrated his council’s decision on Twitter, adding that the move has been backed by the leaders of El Paso County, Colorado Springs, and Keenesburg.

“Last evening, the Monument Town Council passed a resolution declaring non-sanctuary status, 7-0. We are aligned with El Paso County and Colorado Springs in that we will not support the actions taken by Denver Mayor @MikeJohnstonCO, which further promotes illegal immigration. Mayor @Aron_Lam and the Keenesburg Board also passed a non-sanctuary resolution last night,” he wrote.

Trio Submits Proposal to Ban Tracking Firearms Through Purchases

(Alan Wooten, The Center Square) – Restricting use of a merchant category code to track transactions for firearms and ammunition sales has been proposed by Republican U.S. Reps. Elise Stefanik of New York, Richard Hudson of North Carolina and Andy Barr of Kentucky.

The implementation of the MCC, as it is commonly known, happened in September 2022 by the International Organization for Standardization. Visa, Mastercard and American Express paused the implementation, and Hudson said he’s questioned it from the outset.

A release from Hudson says the proposal would “preempt California’s newest attempt to single out and surveil law-abiding firearm and ammunition owners.” News broke last week that American Express, Visa and Mastercard would go forward and track gun store purchases in the state.

In a release, Lawrence G. Keane, National Shooting Sports Federation senior vice president and general counsel for the Firearm Industry Trade Association, said, “The Biden administration has already proven they cannot be trusted to respect the private firearm transactions of law-abiding citizens. Without a warrant, federal agencies collected financial information on private firearm and ammunition transactions to create an illegal government watchlist of gun owners. Representative Elise Stefanik’s legislation would rein in federal overreach to use the private financial transactions of law-abiding citizens against them for political means.”

Stefanik said such tracking is a violation of constitutional rights.

She said in a release, “I share the concern of law-abiding gun owners across our nation that have voiced their fear that such tactics will work to serve the radical Left’s anti-gun agenda. I will always stand up for our Second Amendment rights as Americans and provide a critical check to any entity attempting to encroach on our liberties.”

Hudson said, “Gun grabbing liberals will stop at nothing to take away your Second Amendment rights. This is unacceptable, dangerous, and a first step to gun confiscation.”

Barr said the privacy of purchases is not negotiable. Randy Kozuch, interim executive director of the National Rifle Association-Institute for Legislative Action, the lobbying arm of the NRA, said the merchant category code for firearms retailers “is nothing more than a scheme to surveil law-abiding gun owners.”

Amalgamated Bank made the request to set up the code. At the time, New York Attorney General Letitia James and California Attorney General Rob Bonta sent a letter to the three major credit card companies urging them to support the move. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, running for election that fall, gave her support as well.

Twenty-one state attorneys general responded with a letter to the credit card companies’ leaders requesting they not support the MCC.

Montana, in 2023, banned the practice.

Majority of Texas Hispanics Support Building Border Wall, Sending Troops to Border

(Bethany Blankley, The Center Square) – A majority of Hispanic Texas voters support Gov. Greg Abbott building a border wall and constructing additional barriers along the Texas-Mexico border, according to a new poll.

Hispanic Republicans are also increasingly running for office and voting in larger margins this primary election than in 2022, according to new exit poll data.

The majority of Hispanic voters, 56%, support Texas building its own border wall and repairing walls or physical barriers at its border with Mexico, according to the University of Texas/Texas Politics Project poll. By comparison, 34% oppose it.

Another 42% of Hispanic voters support Texas installing buoys and barbed wire at the Rio Grande River to block illegal entry, compared to 49% who don’t.

Overall, 65% of all Texas voters said they support Texas building its own wall and barriers compared to 28% who oppose it. And 57% support Texas installing marine buoys in the Rio Grande River compared to 36% who don’t.

Two-thirds of respondents – 66% – said they support deploying additional state police and military resources to the border, compared to 27% who oppose it.

Among them, a majority of Hispanic voters, 51%, support it.

A majority of Hispanic voters, 56%, also disapprove of President Joe Biden’s handling of immigration and border security, compared to 26% who approve.

Texas is currently embroiled in three lawsuits over border barriers and buoys in Eagle Pass, Texas, with 25 Republican governors supporting Texas’ right to defend its border. Multiple states have also sued the Biden administration over a range of policies they argue violate laws established by Congress.

The top issues facing Texas voters are border security (24%), immigration (18%), political corruption (11%) and inflation (8%), according to the poll.

Hispanic voters and officials have shifted right over the years, with more officials leaving the Democratic Party to become Republicans. During the midterm elections, a poll identified three regions in Texas where Hispanic voters were leaning more Republican including in South Texas, the Rio Grande Valley, and outer suburbs of Texas’ four largest cities where minorities are disproportionately impacted by border and cartel related crime.

Part of the shift right can be attributed to the efforts of Project RedTX, which has been recruiting and supporting candidates at the local level since 2018. It was founded at a time when numerous Texas counties that historically voted Democrat were shifting right but few Republicans were elected locally or even filed to run for office. That changed after more Republicans ran for office and won in 2018 in historically Democratic districts.

By 2020, Hispanic Texans voted for Trump by the largest margin in state history for a Republican presidential candidate.

Also that year, Kleberg County residents made history. After decades of historically voting Democrat, they voted for former President Donald Trump by over 50%. In the 2024 primary election, many Republicans are running for office in the county and in multiple border counties, Project RedTX says.

In 2016, Democrat Hillary Clinton won 61% of the Hispanic Texas; in 2020, Joe Biden won 58% of their vote. In 2016, Trump won 34% of the Hispanic Texas vote, despite the Washington Post refuting exit poll data. In 2020, he won 41% of their vote, according to exit poll data published by the Washington Post.

“Republicans continue to make significant inroads in Texas border communities and other historically blue regions of the state,” Project Red Texas Director Wayne Hamilton said in a statement.

Freshman Republican Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz also points to primary voter data to show the trend is continuing. More people are voting in the Republican Party in her congressional district, which includes Hidalgo County, than before, she says. The border county is 92% Hispanic and has traditionally voted Democrat.

During early voting in the current primary election in Hidalgo County, she said, votes in the Republican primary increased by 50.7% from the 2020 primary election as Democratic votes decreased by 41%. Texas has an open primary.

“Numbers don’t lie,” De La Cruz said, comparing Hidalgo County 2022 and 2024 primary election data. “Democratic numbers are still going backward,” she said, noting that Republican voter turnout increased by 24.6% from 2022 as Democrat voter turnout decreased by 14.4%.

Trump Calls on Alabama Lawmakers to Preserve In Vitro Fertilization

(Brett Rowland, The Center Square) – President Donald Trump called on Alabama lawmakers Friday to preserve in vitro fertilization, a technique used to help people with fertility issues have a child.

Trump’s comments on Friday came after the Alabama Supreme Court’s ruling on in vitro fertilization last week. The state’s highest court ruled that frozen embryos are people. After the ruling, multiple fertility centers in Alabama elected to pause IVF treatments while they reviewed the court’s decision.

Trump said Friday that he supports IVF and asked the Alabama legislature to take action.

“I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious baby,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media platform.

“Today, I am calling on the Alabama Legislature to act quickly to find an immediate solution to preserve the availability of IVF in Alabama.”He said that the Republican Party should be making it easier for people to have children.

“Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support the creation of strong, thriving, healthy American families,” Trump wrote. “We want to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, not harder! That includes supporting the availability of fertility treatments like IVF in every State in America.”

He said children were the “ULTIMATE JOY IN LIFE!”

Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and the only other candidate still seeking the GOP nomination, said earlier this week that she supported the ruling. She told NBC news that “Embryos, to me, are babies.”

On Thursday, she clarified.

“We don’t want fertility treatment to shut down, we don’t want them to stop doing IVF treatment, we don’t want them to stop doing artificial insemination,” Haley told CNN on Thursday. “But I think this needs to be decided by the people in every state. Don’t take away the rights of these physicians and these parents to have these conversations.”

Some Alabama lawmakers had began efforts to protect IVF after the Alabama Supreme Court decision.

Desperate Katie Porter Literally Sells Out Donors to Compete w/ Schiff

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) California residents who signed up or ever donated to Rep. Katie Porter’s senate campaign may soon have their emails and addresses flooded with third-party advertisers.

According to Politico, Porter is selling her fundraiser list at a discounted price as she struggles to remain relevant in the vacant senate race against Reps. Barbara Lee and Adam Schiff, the front-runner. The open seat was held by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein who passed away in 2023.

Porter’s fundraiser list, which has accumulated over $75 million in previous elections, is now available for less than a dollar per donor—precisely $0.65, as revealed in a sales pitch.

“Reaching out because we are selling Katie Porter’s email and phone lists to a select group of potential buyers for a limited time only until COB March 1st,” the pitch reportedly read. “There will be no exceptions to this timing, so you must act fast.”

Nathan Click, a campaign adviser for Porter, said that the sale is a response to Democratic billionaires supporting Schiff’s candidacy. Schiff declared his bid in January 2023, just days after being removed from the House Intelligence Committee by then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

“Schiff and his shady billionaire allies are spending tens of millions of dollars lying about Katie Porter for one reason: they know Californians will overwhelmingly pick Katie over Schiff in a head to head general election,” Click declared. “We aren’t going to allow Schiff (and the shady billionaires backing him) to rob Californians of that opportunity.”

Despite announcing her Senate bid before Schiff, Porter has lagged behind the former House Intelligence Committee chairman in fundraising, with Schiff reportedly amassing $13.6 million compared to her meager $5 million, Politico revealed.

“California’s next U.S. Senator needs to be a fierce advocate for our tax dollars,” Porter declared in a tweet accompanied by a campaign video. “As a champion for oversight, I’ll do the work to verify we’re getting returns on our investments — not simply padding the pockets of corporate donors or other political insiders.”

A month earlier, Porter scolded Schiff for “boxing out qualified Democratic women candidates” from a campaign ad.

Hardware Store in Pelosis’ S.F. Neighborhood Now Requires Chaperone

(Headline USA) A store in San Francisco is requiring customers to shop with an employee escort in an effort to stop “rampant shoplifting.”

Fredericksen’s Hardware & Paint manager Sam Black told KRON4 that smash and grab robberies have become so frequent that the store has become a “dangerous” environment for both paying customers and employees.

“It’s pretty bad,” he said. “I mean, the dollar amounts are pretty significant with the tools, and now we’re getting snatch-and-grabs when they take whole displays … We just want to make it uncomfortable for the thieves so they go somewhere else.”

Underscoring just how far the once-in-demand City by the Bay has fallen, Fredericksen’s, which opened in 1896, is just half a mile from the home of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in a posh, boutiquey neighborhood known as Cow Hollow.

It is unclear if assailant David DePape purchased the hammer from the store that he used to assault Paul Pelosi in October 2022, although it is likely the nearest location to the power couple’s Normandie Terrace mansion where one would obtain such a blunt instrument.

A sign on the front door of the hardware store now explains the new escort policy for customers.

“Due to the rampant shoplifting, Fredericksen has introduced a one-on-one shopping experience: wait here and a clerk will be right with you to help you with all your shopping needs,” the sign tells guests.

The hardware store also had to put in locking systems to keep people from stealing tools and other household hardware.

One customer told the local outlet that the situation is “just sad.”

Regular customers have been “understanding,” Black said, but others “aren’t happy.”

Still, Black insisted, “We just had to do something.”

In a statement responding to the report, San Francisco supervisor Catherine Stefani acknowledged how “embarrassing” it was for the city that its businesses felt the need to implement such policies in the first place.

“This situation is tragic and embarrassing for our city, and it’s all the more reason to get serious about solving our police staffing crisis,” Stefani said.

“We need more police on our streets, and we need them now,” she added. “That’s why I’ll hold a series of hearings in March to push our city agencies to fill the hundreds of vacancies at the Police Department as soon as possible—to stop the bleeding, reverse the damage, and finally protect our residents and small businesses.”

Biden Skips Hunter Biden-Tied Russian Oligarch in Contentious Putin Sanctions

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden has excluded two Russian billionaires tied to his son Hunter Biden from the latest batch of sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin over the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

Yelena Baturina, the widow of Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, with a net worth of $1.3 billion, and Vladimir Yevtushenkov, reportedly worth $1.7 billion, remain unaffected by the recent sanctions imposed by the Biden administration, as reported by the New York Post on Friday.

Strikingly, both individuals have met with Hunter Biden. Baturina dined with Joe Biden at Café Milano in 2014 and again in 2015, according to ex-Hunter Biden business associate Devon Archer and the Post, respectively.

In February 2014, Baturina sent $3.5 billion to a firm led by Hunter Biden, although Archer admitted in July that he could not recall the purpose of the transfer, as reported by the Post.

Bank records further revealed that Baturina transferred $2.75 million to a company associated with Archer and Hunter Biden. The oligarch also invested a substantial $120 million in the Archer-owned Rosemont Realty, linked to the first son.

Yevtushenkov, not to be outdone, met with Hunter Biden at least twice, according to information from the controversial laptop.

The Post noted that the Russian oligarch allegedly worked with Hunter Biden in response to a DOJ probe into his company, MTS, and a $1 billion bribe to Uzbekistani officials between 2004 and 2012.

This would mark the first time Joe Biden skips the Russian oligarchs from previous sanctions. In 2022, the president came under fire after Britain and Australia introduced sanctions against Yevtushenkov, all while the U.S. looked the other way.

On Friday, Joe Biden announced over 500 new sanctions against Russia over the war in Ukraine and the death of Navalvy, the leader of the Russian opposition had been jailed over corruption allegations.

“These sanctions will target individuals connected to Navalny’s imprisonment as well as Russia’s financial sector, defense industrial base, procurement networks and sanctions evaders across multiple continents,” Biden claimed in a statement.
