Biden Butchers Lincoln Quotation after Vowing to Get It Right

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden embarrassingly butchered a quote by Abraham Lincoln during an event last week after insisting he would try to get it right, the New York Post reported.

Speaking to the National Governors Association at the White House on Saturday, the divisive demagogue complained that “politics has gotten too bitter” at the event, which several Republican governors had refused to attend due to the negative optics.

Biden noted the portrait of Lincoln, the first Republican president, looming behind him before attempting to quote the Great Emancipator: “You know, standing here in front of this portrait of the man behind me here, he—he said—and I want to make sure I get the quote exactly right,” Biden began. “He said, ‘The better angel.’ He said, ‘We must address the counsel—and adjust the better angels of our nature.'”

Biden continued to cite Lincoln, claiming the former president once said, “‘We’re not enemies, but we’re friends.’ This is the middle of … the Civil War. He said, ‘We’re not enemies, we’re friends. We must not be enemies.'”

Biden seems to have been trying to quote from Lincoln’s first inaugural address in March 1861, in which he tried to unite the country before the Civil War broke out—not during the war, as Biden suggested.

“Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection,” Lincoln told the divided nation. “The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and heathstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched—as surely they will be—by the better angels of our nature.”

After realizing his mistake, Biden tried to write it off by making a joke about his age.

“Folks, I’ve been around—I know I don’t look it—I’ve been around a long while,” he told the governors.

Biden’s mental acuity has become a top issue for his campaign, with more than 80% of voters saying they believe he is too old to run for reelection, according to recent polls.

In the face of waning voter support, he has largely fallen back on vicious attacks on former President Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner, regularly saying that to elect Trump would be a threat to the very fabric of democracy.

A recent Politico article revealed that Biden had referred to Trump openly among staffers as a “sick f**k” and a “f**king a**hole” on separate occasions.

No Choice: McConnell Considers Endorsing Trump after Years-Long Feud

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is reportedly eying endorsing former President Donald Trump’s third White House bid, potentially fostering unity within the GOP ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

The inevitability of a McConnell endorsement came after Trump secured primary victories effortlessly in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Despite Trump’s clear status as the presumed nominee, the duo has not exchanged words since 2020.

Sources cited by the New York Times suggest that both Trump and McConnell are looking to mend fences, resolving animosities stemming from differing opinions on the 2020 election results.

Notably, McConnell held Trump responsible for the violence during the U.S. Capitol incident on Jan. 6. On the other hand, Trump has blamed McConnell for election losses after his departure from the White House.

McCarthy’s potential backing of the former president would solidify Trump’s position as the presumed nominee and clear leader of the Republican Party. Previously, McConnell had refrained from endorsing Trump, emphasizing his commitment to support whoever became the nominee.

Conversations leading to a possible endorsement are being spearheaded by Chris LaCivita, a senior campaign adviser to Trump, and Josh Holmes, a political strategist for McConnell, according to the Times.

Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, urged the GOP to unite behind the clear front-runner. The former president faces competition from former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has yet to secure a victory in the primary.

“President Trump is the presumptive nominee and it is time for the entire party to coalesce behind him to defeat Crooked Joe Biden,” Cheung told the Times.

“Senior members of the campaign have had many conversations but only engage with those who are actually willing to fight for America First principles and to take back the White House,” he added.

Podcast host and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon rejected McConnell’s imminent endorsement of Trump. “MAGA does not want Mitch McConnell’s endorsement,” he said on Monday.

Ransomware Org. Threatens to Release Sensitive Fulton County Docs If Unpaid

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A ransomware company reportedly threatened to release sensitive data from Fulton County, Georgia, to the public—including possible details about the racketeering case involving former President Donald Trump and more than a dozen codefendants—unless its demands were met by March 2.

“The FBI decided to hack now for one reason only, because they didn’t want to leak information fultoncountyga.gov,” a member of the ransomware group, LockBit, posted on under the account of the group’s suspected ringleader, known as LockBitSupp.

“The stolen documents contain a lot of interesting things and Donald Trump’s court cases that could affect the upcoming US election,” said the post.

The FBI previously seized control of LockBit’s servers and arrested two of the group’s members, wrote former Washington Post reporter Brian Krebs on his cybersecurity blog.

But the group—or someone in it—claims to be holding one last bargaining chip.

“We will demonstrate how local structures negligently handled information protection,” warned a recent post.

“We will reveal lists of individuals responsible for confidentiality,” it continued, noting that it would release “personal data” in order to “give maximum publicity to this situation.”

LockBit issued its initial threat on Feb. 13, threatening to publish the data on the 16th with a clock ticking down to the release.

A sample page of the data included 25 sensitive documents such as medical and insurance records, a sealed record related to a child-abuse case, as well as strong hints that the hackers had gained access to all of the county’s files and login details, wrote blogger George Chidi.

Soon thereafter, the FBI stepped in and took it down, but the story did not end there.

“Even after the FBI hack, the stolen data will be published on the blog, there is no chance of destroying the stolen data without payment,” LockBit wrote on its website.

The post used singular pronouns, suggesting there was one additional member keeping the ransom alive.

“All FBI actions are aimed at destroying the reputation of my affiliate program, my demoralization, they want me to leave and quit my job, they want to scare me because they can not find and eliminate me, I can not be stopped, you can not even hope, as long as I am alive I will continue to do pentest with postpaid,” it said.

After the initial breach, Fulton County issued a Feb. 22 response. The county said they were “committed to a comprehensive investigation, and our teams are working to understand what specific information may have been affected as a result of this incident,” adding that they “will make all legally required notifications.”

Still, there was no acknowledgement of the potentially explosive court data revelations that could have been obtained.

AP Ignores Key Details about Ga. Student’s Brutal Murder by Illegal

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The Associated Press was slammed for publishing a story published Saturday about the murder of University of Georgia student Laken Riley that blatantly lied about her alleged killer’s criminal history and immigration status.

Jose Ibarra, 26, a Venezuelan national, was arrested Friday for the murder, fueling outrage from many—including Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who demanded answers from the Biden administration as to how its open-border policies had allowed a dangerous criminal to take up residence in the college town of Athens, Ga.

The AP initially referred to murder suspect Ibarra as an “Athens resident,” despite his having only recently arrived there from New York City, where he had lived for more than a year after crossing the border at El Paso.

Despite Ibarra’s having an extensive arrest record, according to Daily Mail, the AP also neglected to mention that in its report.

Instead of addressing the blatant disregard on the part of law enforcement, the far-left wire service took the opportunity to accuse men of harassing and even physically threatening women.

They even cited the story of Mollie Tibbetts, University of Iowa student who was out on a run when attacked and stabbed in 2018.

However, the AP likewise failed to mention that Tibbetts’s killer, Cristhian Rivera, illegally immigrated from Mexico as a teenager.

Several Twitter users, journalist Mary Katharine Ham, pointed out the publication’s blatant effort to dodge the truth after the murder of Riley, a 22-year-old U.Ga. nursing student who was killed by blunt-force trauma while out running by herself.

“I ran this exact trail every single week of my college career,” Ham said.

“… Ibarra is not merely an ‘Athens resident,’ and Laken Riley and every other student was put in danger by not enforcing laws and allowing a man arrested 3x after crossing the border to hang out and work on campus,” she added.

“Making this an issue about toxic masculinity instead of addressing the elephant in the room? Classic AP,” said conservative commentator Ian Miles Cheong.

“What a garbage headline. Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal alien who was afforded refuge in a sanctuary city,” said columnist Adam Johnston. “That’s the story. The ONLY story. But journalist is nothing but regime propaganda and leftist narratives.”

Ibarra crossed the border in 2022, faced arrest and charges of “acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17,” and driving a vehicle without a proper license in New York City in Sept 2023.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement usually lodges a request for detainment with local law enforcement when illegal immigrants commit violent crimes, according to Fox News. However, NYPD officers are often ordered to ignore such requests in order to comply with sanctuary city laws.

Ibarra reportedly moved from New York to Georgia in pursuit of better work.

Officials charged him with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealment of death.

‘Clinically Insane’ Joy Reid Ties IVF Ruling to Immigration and Slavery

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) MSNBC host Joy Reid faced backlash on Monday following the release of a controversial video in which she criticized Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s, R-Ala., comments celebrating the Alabama Supreme Court’s ruling on in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

Reid, labeled “clinically insane” by the Twitter page “End Wokeness,” condemned Tuberville’s remarks after the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that fertilized eggs are considered babies.

In a TikTok video, Reid, with her blond hair visible, questioned the need for more children in the United States, which has a population exceeding 327 million. She asked, “Why do we need more kids?”

Tuberville expressed his support for the court’s decision on both Twitter and during CPAC 2024, highlighting that the reversal of Roe v. Wade empowered states to determine their own policies on life and conception. During an interview on CPAC, the senator said: “We need more kids.”

On Twitter, he said: “Each and every Alabamian has the right to make their voice heard about these deeply personal issues at the ballot box. I believe every life is a gift and is worth protecting.”

However, Reid, seemingly agitated, took issue with Tuberville’s stance and drew a comparison between a potential increase in population through fertilized eggs and concerns about illegal immigration.

“Senator Tuberville is the one screaming that 10 million immigrations… have streamed into the country since Joe Biden’s been president and you’re claiming that’s too many people,” Reid incoherently rambled. “But now you’re saying we need more kids? Can you explain who’s the we and what’s the purpose?”

According to a report by the Daily Caller, the IVF decision in Alabama has led some hospitals to suspend the procedure.

In her TikTok video, Reid went on to liken the decision to slavery and racism. “Alabama was a slave state and the mandate of the planter class in Alabama was for black women to produce more kids because those kids were property, and they could work more kids and make more money on their plantations,” Reid added.

“Are you saying the state of Alabama needs more kids because you think that those populations will include people who are maybe destitute and desperate enough if you kick out the immigrants, like a lot of you all want to do, and you could make them do the work that the migrants are doing now? Does that kind of sound slavery-ish? Is the state of Alabama the we? And is that the why?” she continued.

GOP Sens. Demand Impeachment Trial for Mayorkas as Schumer Attempts to Table

(With rumblings that U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-New York, plans to table and not even hold an impeachment hearing to try Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Republican senators are demanding that the U.S. Constitution be followed and a trial be held.

Mayorkas was the first sitting Cabinet member to be impeached in U.S. history when the Republican-lef House did so Feb. 13. He was impeached on two counts: willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law and breach of public trust.

Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., sent a letter this week to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, signed by several senators, saying it was imperative that the U.S. Senate Republican Conference prepare “to fully engage our constitutional duty and hold a trial.”

“According to multiple briefings by your staff, Majority Leader Schumer and Senate Democrats intend to dispense with the articles of impeachment by simply tabling both individually,” Schmitt wrote. “This is an action rarely contemplated and never taken by the US Senate in the history of our Republic.”

He said he wasn’t sure if the Senate rules would even “allow us to brush aside our duty in this manner,” but if the tables were turned Democrats would not allow such a maneuver.

If Senate Republicans were in the majority and there was a Republican president, “the opposition would be fierce and the volume from Democrats would be deafening,” he said.

He called on McConnell to oppose any efforts by Democrats “to shirk their constitutional duty, ensure that the Senate conducts a proper trial, and that every senator, Republican and Democrat, adjudicates this matter when the Senate returns.”

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, commended the House for impeaching Mayorkas, saying, he “aided and abetted and facilitated a criminal invasion of this United States,” citing 10.6 million foreign nationals who illegally entered the country under his watch.

“Americans are dying. Americans are being brutalized. We are seeing absolute chaos,” Cruz said.

“I believe the Senate should convict him. Why? Because he actively aided and abetted the criminal invasion of the United States,” Cruz told Fox News. “He aided and abetted Mexican drug cartels that have made billions of dollars exploiting human beings, undermining public safety in America and posing an incredible national security threat.”

He also said the president and congressional Democrats “are accomplices in this chaos.”

The House impeaching Mayorkas was “an opportunity now for Senate Republicans to demonstrate we can back up the House and fight with Chuck Schumer to make sure we have a real trial and that he doesn’t just give the proceeding the back of the hand and refuse to consider it at all.”

He also said Schumer was “trying to break over 200 years of Senate precedent by tabling the impeachment trial of Alejandro Mayorkas. This would deny the American people the chance to hear the evidence about Biden’s lawless open border policy.”

Schumer “doesn’t even want to have a trial. He doesn’t even want to have senators vote on guilty or not guilty,” Cruz added. “What he’s trying to do is simply table it, just put it aside. In over 200 years of our nation’s history, the Senate has never once tabled articles of impeachment. That has never happened. Every single time the Senate has voted on either guilt or innocence or the House has withdrawn the impeachment.”

Schumer, who is currently in Ukraine meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said on Friday that if the U.S. doesn’t continue to send billions of dollars to Ukraine, it will lose its war with Russia and there will be “dire consequences for the Ukrainian people, the U.S. and democracy and freedom.”

He also called on House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., to send even more aid to Ukraine.

Johnson has said all funding considerations are off the table unless securing the U.S. border is prioritized.

Maricopa Prosecutor Defends Refusal to Remand Alleged Murderer into Bragg’s Custody

(Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell last week pushed back against George Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in his effort to get a murder suspect extradited back to New York.

Mitchell made national headlines for saying this week that it would be “safer” to have him remain in Arizona and face trial there first before potentially sending him there.

The suspect in question is Raad Almansoori, who is wanted for a murder in SoHo earlier this month, but he’s being held in Arizona for allegedly stabbing two women in Maricopa County, one in Phoenix and one in Surprise, according to NBC News.

Mitchell’s fight with Bragg came amid the backdrop of several other high-profile cases in which Bragg and other New York officials have faced harsh criticism for letting illegal immigrants escape.

Many called for the DA to resign recently over his release of a gang of illegals who had beaten two cops in broad daylight in Times Square. Several later fled to California.

Meanwhile, Jose Antonio Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal from Venezuela who had reportedly been released by border patrol in El Paso, then made his way to New York where he lived comfortably for more than a year, was arrested on Friday for murdering college student Laken Riley in Athens, Ga.

In an interview with the Center Square, Mitchell clarified the role she was playing in blocking the extradition process for Almansoori and responded to critics of her decision.

“I think that the media attention came not because of this. I think this was the vehicle for, it seems like building frustration,” the Republican official said.

“It is not a refusal to extradite,” Mitchell clarified. “This is not a, ‘No, not ever,’ this is a ‘Not yet.'”

She noted that when multiple jurisdictions are both seeking to prosecute a defendant for serious offenses, the one that has him in custody typically goes first, regardless of the degree of the offense.

“Now, if this was like a lower-level property crime might I consider letting him go, you know, be prosecuted on the homicide first—absolutely, I would consider it,” Mitchell said. “But that’s not our situation.” she added.

She also responded to comments from Bragg, a Democrat, accusing Mitchell of “old-fashioned grandstanding” and saying that this was a political move.

“It’s an interesting charge because I am doing exactly what is standard operating procedure, which is keeping it here, and I’m not the one that brought up extraditions,” she said.

“It was brought up in a New York press conference, and it came up in the press conference that I was in yesterday,” she continued. “And I was responding to that, so it was completely responsive on my part.”

Some of the concern surrounding the extradition related to bond policies, with Bragg having made known his position on releasing even serious offenders for little or no bail.

“One thing is if we were to let him go to another jurisdiction, that jurisdiction doesn’t necessarily have to honor our bond amount,” Mitchell said.

“Now, we’re holding him without bond. But other jurisdictions in the past in other cases have not honored Arizona’s bond and reduced it to such a degree that the person has gotten out of custody,” she continued. “That’s very different than if we send him having a conviction and having been sentenced to whatever years in prison—they have to honor that. And I don’t think people are picking up on that.”

Even after catching flak for refusing to charge the assailants who beat two NYPD officers, Bragg brazenly released one of the alleged offenders on $1 bail.

NYT Casually Reveals That Officials Undermined Trump’s Peacemaking Efforts w/ Russia

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The New York Times published a bombshell article Sunday, revealing that the CIA has been participating in a secretive war against Russia from within Ukraine over the last decade.

The article has attracted much attention for its incredible details about a dozen secret CIA-sponsored bases operating near the Russian border. CIA officials also instructed their Ukrainian counterparts on sabotage inside Russia, and provided them with targeting intelligence—all before the 2022 Russian military operation in Ukraine.

Receiving less attention is perhaps an equally explosive detail about Trump administration officials seemingly committing treason.

Indeed, in the middle of the story, the Times admitted that Donald Trump sought to normalize relations with Russia when first taking office, but that his top officials intentionally undermined him—which would be an act of treason. The newspaper also rightly noted that the treason came from some of Trump’s more dubious appointments, including John Bolton and Mike Pompeo.

“Mr. Trump praised Mr. Putin and dismissed Russia’s role in election interference … But whatever Mr. Trump said and did, his administration often went in the other direction. This is because Mr. Trump had put Russia hawks in key positions, including Mike Pompeo as C.I.A. director and John Bolton as national security adviser,” the Times reported.

“They visited Kyiv to underline their full support for the secret partnership, which expanded to include more specialized training programs and the building of additional secret bases.”

The apparent treason from Bolton and Pompeo is far from the only time top officials purposely undermined Trump—to disastrous consequences.

Officials also either resigned in protest or outright deceived the President when he ordered his troops to withdraw from Syria in 2018 and again in 2019.

More recently, it was revealed that Mark Milley, the now-retired chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Chinese officials that he would warn the rival superpower before undertaking any military strikes against it.

“General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay,” Milley reportedly told him. “We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you.”

Trump Appeals $454M Judgement in N.Y. Lawfare Attack

(Former President Donald Trump has appealed his $454 million New York civil fraud judgment, challenging a judge’s ruling that the GOP presidential front-runner lied about the value of his real-estate empire.

Trump’s lawyers filed a notice of appeal on Monday asking a state appeals court to overturn Superior Court Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling in a lawfare attack brought in 2022 by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

In a court filing, Trump’s legal team said they were appealing the judgment and accused Engoron of “errors of law and/or fact.

They argued that the court “abused its discretion, and/or acted in excess of its jurisdiction” likely in reference both to Engoron’s arbitrary assessment of property values to predetermine Trump’s guilt and in his excessive financial penalty—a violation of the 8th Amendment under the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits excessive fines.

During the trial, Trump’s lawyers argued that the statute of limitations prohibits the allegations and that Engoron failed to comply with an Appellate Division ruling last year ordering him to narrow the scope of the trial. He has also accused the judge of being biased against him and that he has abused his authority.

In a ruling issued in September, Engoron found that Trump, his company, and top executives—including his two eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump—deceived banks and insurers by inflating the value of his family’s wealth on financial statements used to secure loans.

Engoron ordered Trump to pay $355 million in penalties, which, with interest, has grown to nearly $454 million. That fine will increase by nearly $112,000 daily until he pays.

The ruling also stipulates that the former president’s sons can’t serve as officers or directors of any New York corporation for two years. The judge also fined Trump’s sons $4 million each.

Trump’s lawyers argued in court filings that he was worth several billion dollars, in addition to properties and other investments. James, a Democrat, has said she will seek to seize some of his assets if Trump doesn’t pay the fines.

The civil case is one of Trump’s many legal challenges as he continues his march to the GOP presidential nomination to challenge incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden in November.

He has been indicted on four different criminal charges, including a plot to overturn his 2020 presidential election and keeping classified documents at his Florida home.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing, claiming the indictments are part of a politically motivated “witch hunt” to keep him off the ballot. He has described Engoron’s decision as “election interference” and accused him of “weaponization against a political opponent.”

Rumors Spread of Ukrainian Assassination Plot against Tucker Carlson

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) An unconfirmed report that Ukraine tried assassinating conservative broadcaster Tucker Carlson during his tour of Russia spread like wildfire Monday.

The report was initially publicized by crypto entrepreneur Mario Nawfal, who cited The Intel Drop—a site that describes itself as “an unaligned news source for the intelligence and financial community.”

“Russian counter-terrorist forces have foiled a terrorist attack in Moscow, which had been planned, directed and financed by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. The terrorist cell was operated by ‘Ukrainian handlers’ in order to carry out an attack on American journalist Tucker Carlson during his visit to Moscow,” The Intel Drop reported, posting a link of the alleged perpetrator who confessed to the so-called plot.

“In his interrogation Vasiliev recounted receiving instructions and the location of IED, but said that he was arrested before committing the attack. He also mentioned that his Ukrainian handlers promised him $4000 for a successful execution of the attack.”

The Intel Drop’s report is entirely unconfirmed as of the publication of this article. However, the rumors of a Ukranian assassination plot are spreading like wildfire online, aided by major accounts such as Nawfal, White House reporter Simon Ateba and numerous others.

While the specific assassination plot reported Monday is unconfirmed, Carlson is listed on the infamous Ukrainian website Myrotvorets, known as the Ukrainian “kill list.”

Daria Dugina, the daughter of prominent Russian political theorist Alexander Dugin, was killed by Ukrainian-sponsored assassination in a car bomb explosion in Moscow in 2022. Dugin now appears as “liquidated” on the Ukrainian online hit list.

Thousands of people are listed on the site as “enemies of Ukraine,” including prominent Westerners.

And while an assassination plot against Carlson may seem implausible due to the backlash Ukraine would receive, that country has already attacked Western and NATO infrastructure with impunity.

Indeed, a recent Washington Post report has exposed a former high-ranking Ukrainian official as the coordinator behind the explosions that rocked both the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines in 2022. Those pipelines run between Russia and Germany, a member of NATO.

Moreover, Ukraine launched a missile into Poland in November 2022, killing two. Both the Ukraine and the U.S. initially tried to blame Russia for that attack, but later were forced to admit that the missile came from Ukraine.
