Surprised?: Apalachee High School Shooter Was on FBI’s Radar

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The 14-year-old student who opened fire at a Georgia high school and killed four people on Wednesday had been on the FBI’s radar since at least May 2023, officials admitted.

“In May 2023, the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about online threats to commit a school shooting at an unidentified location and time. The online threats contained photographs of guns.

Within 24 hours, the FBI determined the online post originated in Georgia, and the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office referred the information to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for action,” the FBI said in a statement Wednesday night.

“The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office located a possible subject, a 13-year-old male, and interviewed him and his father. The father stated he had hunting guns in the house, but the subject did not have unsupervised access to them.

The subject denied making the threats online. Jackson County alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the subject,” the bureau added.

“At that time, there was no probable cause for arrest or to take any additional law enforcement action on the local, state, or federal levels.”

The teen is still alive, and has been charged as an adult with using an assault-style rifle to kill two Apalachee High School students and two teachers in the hallway outside his algebra classroom, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said at a news conference.

The dead were identified as two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Winder, about an hour’s drive from Atlanta. Killed were two other 14-year-olds, Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, and instructors Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said in a nighttime news conference.

At least nine other people — eight students and one teacher — were taken to hospitals with injuries. All were expected to survive.

Wednesday’s shooting was the latest among dozens of school shootings across the U.S. in recent years, including especially deadly ones in Newtown, Connecticut, Parkland, Florida, and Uvalde, Texas.

Before Wednesday, there had been 29 mass killings in the U.S. so far this year, according to a database maintained by The Associated Press and USA Today in partnership with Northeastern University. At least 127 people have died in those killings, which are defined as incidents in which four or more people die within a 24-hour period, not including the killer — the same definition used by the FBI.

Wednesday’s tragedy was also at least the 24th time that a mass shooter that had been on the FBI’s radar prior to his attack.

Prominent examples of mass shooters who were on the FBI’s “radar” include Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza, Orlando Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen and Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz.

In Lanza’s case, FBI agents had reportedly previously questioned him for hacking computers.

With Orlando shooter Mateen, the FBI reportedly went as far as investigating him in direct relation to possibly being a terrorist threat—twice. “But the F.B.I. soon ended its examination of Mr. Mateen after finding no evidence that he posed a terrorist threat to his community,” the New York Times reported in June 2016.

Matteen’s father was also an FBI informant for more than a decade, as was reported by NPR in March 2018.

Then, there’s Parkland. In 2018, The New York Times report that “The F.B.I. received a tip last month from someone close to Nikolas Cruz that he owned a gun and had talked of committing a school shooting, the bureau revealed Friday, but it acknowledged that it had failed to investigate.”

Additionally, Buffalo shooter Payton Gendron was possibly communicating with a retired federal agent within as little as 30 minutes of his killing spree. Gendron’s possible links to a retired federal agent are more bizarre when coupled with a July 2019 story from the Buffalo News about FBI agents tracking potential mass shooters in the area.

Ketanji Jackson Praises Kamala Harris in Potential Code of Conduct Violation

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Leftist Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson praised Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential run, potentially raising concerns over a violation of the court’s code of conduct.

During a Wednesday interview with The View, Jackson claimed that Harris’s achievement as the first woman of color to inherit a major party’s presidential nomination gave “a lot of people hope.”

“I’m not only so honored, but whenever we see someone moving into a position where no one has ever been, it gives a lot of people hope,” Jackson specifically claimed.

“I’m a first not because I’m the first person who could ever do this job, but because our times have changed, our society has changed,” she added.

Although Jackson didn’t explicitly state she would vote for Harris, her positive remarks could be seen as a partial endorsement, potentially edging toward a violation of the Supreme Court’s code of conduct.

The code mandates that justices refrain from participating in political activities, including acting as the leader of a political organization, making speeches for a candidacy or publicly endorsing or opposing a candidate for public office.

Jackson’s praise of Harris comes just days after she ironically backed President Joe Biden’s proposed binding ethics code.

“At least up to this point, I haven’t seen any good reason why there shouldn’t be binding rules. But so far, we’re not there,” Jackson told NPR when asked about her thoughts on the proposal.

Biden’s binding ethics code appeared to target Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, who have faced partisan criticism from politicians and the legacy media.

Most recently, the liberal New York Times dubiously accused Alito of flying an inverted American flag in the weeks following the Jan. 6 protests, and the “Appeal to Heaven” flag in the summer of 2023.

The newspaper claimed, without citing explicit evidence, that these flags raised concerns about Alito’s potential bias in cases related to the protest and President Donald Trump.

Similarly, Thomas has been accused of bias due to his wife’s conservative activism. Leftist non-profit ProPublica has released several negative reports against Thomas, amounting to what some conservatives called a smear campaign.

The Supreme Court did not immediately respond to Headline USA’s request for comment on Jackson’s remarks.

CNN Brings Back Its Former Propagandist

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) After CNN fired one of its propagandists, Brian Stelter, the network recently announced he would return to continue lying to the American people.

“I am thrilled to share that I am returning as the lead author of CNN’s Reliable Sources newsletter, the digest I founded in 2015. I’m returning to CNN in a brand-new role as Chief Media Analyst, which means I’ll be appearing on air, developing digital content and helming this newsletter,” Stelter wrote on Sept. 3, 2024.

According to the propagandist, his return to CNN, which officially starts on Sept. 9, 2024, won’t be the same as his previous years at the network because he is “different.”

“The media industry has matured, CNN has evolved and I have changed a lot since I signed off two years ago. After 20+ years as a news junkie, I changed my habits and tuned out for a bit. I also changed my vantage point, moving from Manhattan to a horse farm near one of Donald Trump’s golf clubs. I experienced the news more like an everyday consumer, and in doing so, I learned a whole lot about the attention economy and the information ecosystem. I’m looking forward to sharing what I learned with you,” he wrote.

In his announcement, Stelter suggested that even though he’s returning to CNN’s Reliable Sources newsletter, his Reliable Sources TV program will not be revived.

Fox News reported that CNN fired Stelter in 2022 because his then-boss, Chris Licht, was “determined to tamp down spectacle” at the time. Licht’s bosses at parent company Warner Bros. Discovery told him to restore CNN’s journalistic credibility by getting rid of its far-left ideologues.

While Licht rejected Stelter, CNN’s current CEO, Mark Thompson, said he was glad Stelter would return to the network.

“I’m very happy to welcome Brian back to CNN in this new role. Brian is one of the best global experts in media commentary, and as the founder of the Reliable Sources newsletter, he is the perfect choice to lead Reliable Sources into its next chapter,” Thompson said.

Liz Cheney Offers Unsolicited 2024 Endorsement to Candidate She Once Despised

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Disgraced former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., revealed on Wednesday who she plans to vote for in the 2024 election—an unsurprising but telling choice.

During a Q&A at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, Cheney said she will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat she previously labeled as a “radical liberal” lacking leadership.

“Because of the danger that Donald Trump poses, not only am I not voting for Donald Trump, but I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” Cheney stated in footage from the Q&A.

Cheney’s endorsement drew loud applause at Duke, but critics were quick to point out her past disdain for Harris.

“It’s very clear—she is a radical liberal she’s somebody that has said we ought to spend 32 trillion dollars on Medicare for All,” Cheney said during an interview with Fox News in December 2021.

“If you look at her record as well in California she did in fact essentially ban gun sales with executive action and she threatened during the primaries to do the same thing if she’s elected,” Cheney added.

In separate comments, Cheney scolded Harris for failing to secure the southern border after being appointed as the “border czar” responsible for addressing the so-called root causes of illegal crossings.

“Vice President Harris said she was not in charge of the border. Nobody seems to be in charge she hasn’t been there and we have a humanitarian and national security crisis and and health crisis unfolding there,” Cheney said in April 2021.

Cheney’s backing of Harris may surprise some, considering her anti-Trump record, which earned her the “RINO” label, or Republican in Name Only.

She led the infamous Jan. 6 Committee and voted for Trump’s second impeachment, prompting House Republicans to remove her from leadership.

Cheney has long called herself a conservative Republican, serving two terms in the House before being ousted by Wyoming voters.

Voters replaced Cheney with Harriet Hageman, a staunch conservative with a strong record on free speech, gun rights, and limited government. Hageman boasts a 100% conservative score from Heritage Action.

Trump Campaign Slams Amazon over Alexa’s Alleged Election Interference

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Sept. 3, 2024, people in the Trump campaign criticized Amazon after the company engaged in election interference by using its popular Alexa device to ensure that Americans knew about Kamala Harris’s “accomplishments” but never learned about Donald Trump’s accomplishments.

Instead of admitting blatant bias, Amazon gaslighted people by claiming it was an “error.”

Fox Business reported that Alexa refused to answer a woman’s question about why she should “vote for Trump.”

“I cannot provide responses that endorse any political party or its leader,” the device’s female voice said, responding to the question regarding Trump.

However, Alexa could tell the woman why she should vote for Harris. The woman asked the question about Harris just seconds later. The question was the same, with only the names of the politicians being replaced.

”While there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a female of color with a comprehensive plan to address racial injustice and inequality throughout the country,” Amazon’s virtual assistant stated.

The New York Post reported that on Sept. 3, 2024, many people on social media shared similar attempts to highlight Amazon’s Alexa’s far-left bias, proving that it’s not just a glitch.

Amazon still claimed that the bias resulted from a patched error.

“This was an error that was quickly fixed,” an Amazon spokesperson said.

Trump’s presidential campaign members criticized Amazon, saying the tech company is engaged in election interference.

“BIG TECH ELECTION INTERFERENCE!” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung wrote, sharing a post in which Alexa gave a man “several reasons for why [he] may not want to vote for Donald Trump.”

When Alexa was asked why a person should not vote for Harris, the device said it “cannot provide content that insults another human being.”

Senior Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller also compared Amazon’s bias with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s recent admission that his social media company’s suppression of the Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020 was a mistake.

“‘Error’… just like Big Tech’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story was an ‘error,’” he wrote.

Fani Willis’s Pregnant Daughter Arrested for Driving w/ Suspended License

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Fani Willis’s pregnant daughter recently got arrested and posed for a jail mugshot after she was caught driving with a suspended license.

The Daily Mail reported that 25-year-old Kinaya Willis, whose mother was responsible for one of the witch hunt trials of Donald Trump, was arrested in Tyrone, Ga., on Aug. 24, 2024.

An incident report revealed that pregnant Kinaya was pulled over because police officers saw her using a cell phone while driving her 2010 Nissan Altima.

The report revealed that she “stated that the reason” she was using her phone while driving was because her mother called her to ask something about her pregnancy.

After she was arrested, Willis’s daughter told an officer from the Tyrone Police Department she was “unaware” her license had been revoked on May 13, 2024, for the same offense: driving while suspended.

According to the news source, the excuse didn’t work because Kinaya was searched, handcuffed at the side of the highway and taken to the Fayette County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a revoked or suspended license.

The report added that “Willis’s mother later arrived on scene to take possession” of the car.

The news source also obtained a booking photo that showed Kinaya looking exhausted when she arrived at the 554-bed lockup 30 minutes south of Atlanta.

According to public records, Kinaya was released and ordered to appear in the Town of Tyrone Municipal Court on Oct. 24, 2024, for an arraignment.

The Mail wrote that in Georgia, the punishment for driving on a suspended license is a minimum of two days in jail, a fine of at least $500, and a six-month suspension extension.

If Kinaya is found guilty of a second offense, she could spend at least 10 days in jail and be fined between $1,000 and $2,500.

Her arrest came after Willis, Fulton County’s celebrated Democrat District Attorney, became infamous for charging Trump with election interference.

Willis secured a grand jury indictment against Trump and 18 other people in August 2023, stating that they broke Georgia’s anti-racketeering law by trying to overturn the state’s general election results.

Trump’s arrest on 41 criminal counts resulted in the first-ever mugshot of a former American president being released to the public.

Fake News Nearly Turns Beloved Southern Rockers into Bud Light

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) It has been a quadrennial rite of passage for left-wing performing artists to virtue-signal their values in the most petty possible way—not only by ruining their music for fans with inane political statements, but by actively denying political opponents the right to license their music.

Already during the 2024 campaign, several artists have publicly grandstanded with tirades against former President Donald Trump, the current GOP presidential nominee.

A Wikipedia entry on the subject lists roughly 40 Trump-hating musicians—although many of the entries represent the estates or surviving family members of artists who are now deceased, or whose opposition was voiced in one of Trump’s two prior presidential campaigns.

In a particularly virulent case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, former White Stripes guitarist Jack White left a 70-word screed last week in the comments of Trump Deputy Communications Director Margo Martin after she shared a video of Trump walking up the steps of his plane, Trump Force One, that was accompanied by the distinctive bass intro of White’s song “Seven Nation Army.”

“Oh….Don’t even think about using my music you fascists,” White wrote.

“Law suit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.)” he continued. “… And as long as I’m here, a double f**k you DonOLD for insulting our nation’s veterans at Arlington you scum.”

A post shared by Jack White (@officialjackwhite)

It is likely that Trump himself remained unaware of the invective, and that Martin or someone on Trump’s communications team added the music while posting the video, without consideration of White’s political opinions.

Many of Trump’s supporters seemed puzzled as to who the Detroit rocker from the early Aughts was, given his long absence from the public eye.

Other artists desperate for headlines, such as Swedish disco act ABBA and ’90s pop-rockers the Foo Fighters, have likewise gone public with their complaints.

Notably, the Foo Fighters falsely claimed that Trump did not have permission to use their song “My Hero” at an Arizona rally where he received the endorsement of former independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Yet, as it turned out, the campaign had indeed licensed it.

And while former Destiny’s Child singer Beyoncé Knowles may have disappointed fans hoping she would make a headlining performance after Vice President Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech during the Democratic National Convention, she made clear where she stood politically by licensing the song “Freedom” to Harris’s campaign and sending a cease-and-desist letter to the Trump campaign for using it in a parody.

For Republicans who feel slighted and insulted by the snubs, the decision on whether to cancel a particular artist can often be fairly simple, since few of those who opt to attack the GOP have music that speaks or appeals to the values, sensibilities and tastes of flyover-state Americans in the first place.

However, conservative X users undoubtedly received a shock after a recent post circulated that included a few unlikely NeverTrumpers, fueling heartbreak, and perhaps a few existential crises, among lovers of classic songs like “The Gambler” and “Freebird.”

While the source of the graphic remains a mystery, it was shared on Saturday by Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson, a RedState columnist and author best known for his behind-the-scenes insignts into the Clinton administration, where he reportedly safeguarded the briefcase containing the nuclear codes.

Patterson’s roughly 379,000 followers likely helped it to circulate and achieve semi-virality over the weekend, where it came to the attention of Headline USA.

The graphic, which included what appeared to be a logo from the Reuters news syndicate, contained a list of more than 30 artists who allegedly opposed Trump.

Among the artists included was the late Kenny Rogers—who, in life had expressed his adoration for the MAGA leader.

“I love what he says, I have to admit,” Rogers (who died in March 2020) told The Guardian in a 2015 interview about  “He can be president and not owe anybody anything; he’s one of the few people who has the money to do it, and has the guts to do it.”

Meanwhile, the famously apolitical Dolly Parton has gone out of her way to avoid tipping her hand to one party or another, precariously navigating the waters of both the Right and Left due to her country-music fanbase and cult-like status within the LGBT community.

Also listed were Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd, who continue to tour despite the loss last year of the band’s last surviving original member, guitarist Gary Rossington.

The band’s presence on the list was particularly awkward given the appearance by well-known Trump basher and vaccine fanboy Neil Young, who famously made an unflattering cameo in the lyrics to Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama.”

The band, which has been known to feature the Confederate flag in its memorabilia, undoubtedly would have lost considerable credibility among fans by denouncing Trump in favor of the far-left Harris, evoking painful memories of Bud Light’s ill-fated flirtation with the ESG movement.

After witnessing the dramatic downfall of the iconic beer brand, other companies known to cater to conservative values—including John Deere, Tractor Supply, Harley–Davidson, Cracker Barrel, Jack Daniels, Home Depot and Lowe’s—have quickly backed off when their controversial policies have come to light.

Thankfully, the viral list of Trump-hating artists proved to be a hoax—at least partially.

Lynyrd Skynyrd manager Ross Schilling clarified that both the Trump and Harris campaigns have licensed its music and have permission to use it.

“No current band member nor management person has been approached or told either political campaign, that the band’s music can not be played at events or rally’s,” Schilling wrote. “In fact, I believe both political campaigns have paid ASCAP and BMI fees that allow them to utilize and have access to tens of thousands of songs that are available thru those performance rights organizations.”

Schilling said that while artists may voice their preferences, oftentimes it would be at the discretion of whoever holds the licensing rights to make a determination about who has permission to play it.

“Universal Music Publishing administers and handles the licensing for [Lynyrd Skynyrd’s] catalog of songs, and I am not aware of anyone at UMG or the band’s estates (original writers), stating that the band’s music cannot be played at any political events,” he noted.

Moreover, Johnny Van Zant (the current lead vocalist for Skynyrd) and Donnie Van Zant (vocalist of the band .38 Special)—the brothers of original frontman Ronnie Van Zant, who died with several other members in a 1977 plane crash—released a song titled “Sweet Florida” for the 2022 reelection campaign Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“The Van Zant brothers live in Florida and were proud to support their home state Governor,” Schilling said.

Lynyrd Skynyrd even invited DeSantis onstage during a concert, to widespread audience acclaim.

Schilling also questioned the credibility of the London-based Reuters, believed to have been the source of the phony list. “[Y]ou reference Reuters, but that doesn’t necessarily make it accurate,” he observed.

However, Reuters confirmed in a separate email to Headline USA that it had nothing to do with the post.

“The tweet you cite does not contain a Reuters-made graphic,” noted Ethics and Standards Editor Brian Moss.

The news service did run an article the previous Thursday about ABBA’s request for Trump to stop using its music, “but the inaccurate Lynyrd Skynyrd information was not included in the story,” Moss added. “We are attempting to get the tweet image removed.”

Headline USA also reached out to representatives for Parton and Rogers, as well as Nickelback and Miley Cyrus, and to Patterson, who shared the post, but none had replied as of Wednesday night.

Top Aide to New York Govs. Hochul, Cuomo Arrested As Chinese Spy

(Headline USA) A top aide to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was arrested this week for allegedly acting on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party, the New York Times reported.

Linda Sun and her husband, Chris Hu, were charged with violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agent Registration Act, as well as for visa fraud, alien smuggling and money laundering conspiracy.

Sun worked in Hochul’s office as a top aide, and in former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office prior to his resignation for multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

Sun was fired last year from the executive office, according to Hochul’s team.

“This individual was hired by the Executive Chamber more than a decade ago,” Hochul’s office said in a statement. “We terminated her employment in March 2023 after discovering evidence of misconduct, immediately reported her actions to law enforcement, and have assisted law enforcement throughout this process.”

While working for Hochul, Sun focused on business development, Asian American affairs, and diversity, equity and inclusion, according to Sun’s LinkedIn profile.

At the same time, Sun was working on behalf of the People’s Republic of China, giving Chinese Communist Party officials access to private government communications and influencing both Hochul’s and Cuomo’s remarks on China.

Cuomo notably framed himself throughout much of the COVID-19 pandemic as a model for Democrat leadership in contrast to then-President Donald Trump, who vocally criticized China for its role in creating and spreading the deadly virus. Many on the left shut down such accusations by claiming the criticism was racist and xenophobic, and China has never been held accountable.

Sun also blocked the Taiwanese government from communicating with Hochul and Cuomo, authorities alleged in an indictment.

Sun’s husband, Chris Hu, is accused of accepting millions of dollars in kickbacks from China, which the couple used to buy expensive properties and luxury cars.

An attorney for Sun, Jarrod Schaeffer, claimed in a statement that the charges against her are “inflammatory and appear to be the product of an overly aggressive prosecution.”

Following Sun’s arrest, Hochul called on federal authorities also to expel China’s consul general, Huang Ping, from New York. The State Department must “take appropriate action in response to the dangerous and outrageous actions taken by the People’s Republic of China,” she said.

MORE Walz Family Members Come Out in Support of Trump

(Headline USA) Following the recent lead of Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz’s brother, several other Walz relatives reportedly posted a picture expressing support for former President Donald Trump this week.

The picture shows a group of Nebraskans standing in front of a “Trump 2024” flag wearing shirts that read, “Nebraska Walz’s for Trump.”

Former Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster first shared the image on X, writing, “Tim Walz’s family back in Nebraska wants you to know something…”

Rod Edwards, a Republican political operative, said the people in the photo were related to Walz through his paternal great-uncle, but their identities have not yet been confirmed.

The photo endorsement comes just days after Walz’s brother, Jeff Walz, came out on social media warning voters against voting for Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology,” Jeff Walz wrote on Facebook last week.

When a commenter urged him to “get on stage with President Trump and endorse him,” Jeff Walz admitted he has thought about doing so.

“I’ve thought long and hard about doing something like that,” the 67-year-old living in Florida replied.

“I’m torn between that and just keeping my family out of it,” he added. “The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”

Conservatives pointed out that the Left loves to platform relatives who publicly oppose their conservative family members, just as they did with Mary Trump (the niece of Donald Trump) and Kerry Kennedy (the sister of former independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.)

In a particularly egregious act of betrayal, the siblings of Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., even called for him to be removed from Congress.

“I consider him a traitor to this country. I consider him a traitor to his family,” said Dave Gosar. “… He’s disgraced and dishonored himself.”

While mainstream media outlets have often pounced at the intra-family turmoil from those on the Right, many seemed mute over the Walz family’s defection.

“In the last few days, Walz’s brother and multiple other members of his extended family have come out publicly against him and for Trump,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X. “Is anyone in the leftwing media going to cover this?”

Conservative commentator Greg Price pointed out how concerning it is that there is widespread opposition to Walz’s candidacy among people who should be the very first to support him.

“So Tim Walz’s brother doesn’t want him to be vice president. His extended family doesn’t want him to be vice president. Members of his National Guard unit don’t want him to be vice president. I’m starting to think this guy isn’t the stand up midwestern family guy that he claims to be,” Price wrote.

Walz already has been caught in several abject lies about his past—most notably those concerning his military service. After falsely claiming to have served in war zones and bestowing a higher rank on himself, the campaign now claims that Walz misspoke on multiple occasions.

During last month’s Democratic National Convention, conservative pundit Jack Posobiec confronted former Attorney General Eric Holder, who served as one of Harris’s top advisers during the selection of her running mate, to inquire about the vetting of Walz following Democrats’ bait-and-switch nomination process.

“F**k you,” Holder responded before dispatching bodyguards and event staff to block Posobiec from following him.

AOC Targets Third-Party Candidate Jill Stein, Demands Loyalty to Democrat Establishment

(Headline USA) “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., attacked far-left Green Party candidate Jill Stein this week for weakening the Democratic presidential ticket, demanding that Stein and other leftists pledge their fielty to the rival party, The Hill reported.

“This is a little spicy, but I have thoughts,” Ocasio–Cortez said, when asked about Stein’s Green Party candidacy in a now-removed story posted Sunday on her personal Instagram account.

Ocasio–Cortez was first recruited by the Justice Democrats to run as an outsider in order to force the Democrat establishment farther to the left. Although the scheme worked, with the party having taken a hard turn toward Marxist extremism, the former Bronx bartender appears now to be the ultimate party insider.

“If you run for years in a row, and your party has not grown, has not added city council seats, down-ballot seats and state electives, that’s bad leadership,” Ocasio–Cortez said of Stein. “And that to me is what’s upsetting.”

All Stein does is “show up every four years to speak to people who are justifiably pissed off,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “You’re not serious. To me, it does not read as authentic; it reads as predatory.”

Stein responded to Ocasio–Cortez in a video of her own on Tuesday.

“I just wanted to thank AOC/Pelosi so very much for her very authentic concern about Green power,” Stein said. “Clearly AOC is the attack dog du jour and the Democrats are running scared—and they should be.”

Stein went on to argue that Green Party had won “1,400 elections” nationwide, and blasted Democrats for using lawfare to try and keep third parties such as the Green Party off the ballot.

“So which party is authentic, and which is predatory?” Stein said.

Despite launching her political career as an avowed leftist, Ocasio–Cortez has faced backlash from the left-wing in recent months. This summer, for example, the Democratic Socialists of America withdrew its endorsement from Ocasio–Cortez over her continued support for Israel.

The group cited a panel Ocasio–Cortez participated in with leaders from the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, calling it a “deep betrayal to all those who’ve risked their welfare to fight Israeli apartheid and genocide through political and direct action in recent months, and in decades past.”
