Speaker Johnson Announces Bathroom Policy in Response to Transgender Rep.

(Headline USA) House Speaker Mike Johnson declared Wednesday that lawmakers and staff will have to use the restroom corresponding with their biological sex, after the first ever transgender representative Democrat Sarah McBride is set to arrive on Capitol Hill.

“All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings—such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms—are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,” the Louisiana Republican said. “Women deserve women’s only spaces.”

Johnson reiterated the message and stated the policy is enforceable.

“And we’re not anti anyone. We’re pro-women, and I think it’s an important policy for us to continue,” he said. “It’s always been the, I guess, an unwritten policy, but now it’s in writing.”

The statement comes a day after Johnson acknowledged that “this is an issue that Congress has never had to address before, and we’re going to do that in deliberate fashion with member consensus on it.”

A resolution to restrict McBride’s access to women’s restrooms was introduced Monday by GOP Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina, who pledged to fight to “keep men out of women’s spaces.”

Mace said the bill was aimed specifically at McBride, who was elected to the House this month from Delaware.

She added that she would fight to protect women’s rights.

“Women fought for these spaces, and I will not let them be erased to score political points with a small but loud activist class,” she said.

In response, McBride called the effort a way to “distract from the real issues facing this country.”

“I’m not here to fight about bathrooms. I’m here to fight for Delawareans and to bring down costs facing families,” the incoming member said.

McBride added, “Like all members, I will follow the rules outlined by Speaker Johnson, even if I disagree with them.”

FEMA Whistleblower: Agency Leadership Views Trump Supporters as ‘Domestic Terrorists’

(Headline USA) A FEMA whistleblower alleged this week that agency officials consider President-elect Donald Trump’s supporters to be “domestic terrorists.”

The bombshell allegation comes just weeks after a report revealed FEMA directed its employees to avoid homes with pro-Trump signs in hurricane-ravaged neighborhoods.

According to the House Oversight Committee, one FEMA contractor who allegedly visited a Georgia home with pro-Trump signage recommended that the family get rid of the signs completely.

“He recommended that the family remove Trump campaign materials and signs from their house and yard, stating that his FEMA supervisors view Trump supporters as domestic terrorists,” Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., wrote on X.

The family worried that they might lose any potential FEMA aid and quickly complied, Comer added.

“Nevertheless, FEMA has not returned to their residence,” he said.

The House Oversight Committee grilled FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell about the agency’s alleged discrimination this week, but Criswell insisted that political discrimination is not widespread within the agency.

“We are working with the inspector general to determine whether or not this is broader than this, but the evidence that I have seen so far shows that this was an isolated incident, and it has not gone beyond what this one employee did,” Criswell told the committee.

However, FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington, whose email directing staffers to avoid visibly pro-Trump homes set off this chain of events, insisted she was following direct FEMA policy.

“FEMA preaches avoidance first, and then de-escalation. This is not isolated. This is a colossal event of avoidance,” Washington, who has since been fired, said. “Not just in the state of Florida. You will find avoidance in the Carolinas.”

Washington went on to claim she is being “framed” for the policy.

“It’s a collective effort in order for everyone to feel comfortable, in order to render the servitude,” she said. “I don’t have a horse in that race. My orders come from my superior, and I simply just execute.”

‘View’ Host Forced to Read On-Air Clarification after Gaetz Slander

(Headline USA) A dejected-looking Sunny Hostin, one of the co-hosts of The View, was forced to read a legal disclaimer on air this week clarifying that Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz has not been charged with wrongdoing over accusations that he had sex with a 17-year-old girl.

Hostin had ranted just minutes earlier about Gaetz, yelling, “How could you nominate someone with allegations of child trafficking or trafficking across state lines and having sex with a 17-year-old girl?”

She went on to cite a Justice Department investigation into the allegations against Gaetz, which was dropped without any charges being brought against him.

“My understanding, further on in the [DOJ] interview, they discuss the fact that once he finds out that she’s 17, he stops having sex with her,” she claimed.

Just three minutes later, co-host Whoopi Goldberg brought the conversation to a halt, noting that Hostin needed to read a legal note from the show’s producers.

With a scowl on her face, Hostin intoned, “Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations, calling the claims ‘invented’ and saying in a statement to ABC News that, ‘This false smear following a three-year criminal investigation should be viewed with great skepticism.’”

Hostin was forced to state that the investigation had been shut, and Gaetz was not charged.

The show then cut to a commercial break.

This is the second time in a week the show’s leftist co-hosts have run into legal trouble.

Last Friday, Goldberg implied a New York City bakery refused to fill her order because of her political beliefs.

“They said that their ovens had gone down, all kinds of stuff,” said Goldberg, insisting the baker just “did not like my politics.”

The bakery’s owner, Jill Holtermann, blasted Goldberg’s slanderous accusation, arguing her shop really was having serious boiler issues and couldn’t fulfill Goldberg’s order as a result.

Comcast Moves Away from Leftist MSNBC in Post-Election Spinoff

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Comcast, the parent company of NBCUniversal, announced Wednesday that it will spin off many of its cable television networks—including MSNBC.

Just two weeks since President-elect Donald Trump won a second term, Comcast made public its plan to distance itself from leftist MSNBC, home of Trump-bashing regulars Joe Scarborough, Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow.

Comcast will offload MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and the Golf Channel into a new company temporarily known as SpinCo, according to NBC News.

Comcast will keep primary NBCUniversal assets including NBC broadcast network, NBC News and NBC Sports.

The streaming service Peacock and the cable channel Bravo will also remain with Comcast, the outlet noted.

The move would separate NBC News from MSNBC and CNBC, according to the outlet.

“The transaction will be structured as a tax-free spin to existing shareholders,” Comcast President Mike Cavanagh explained in an internal memo. “While we don’t have a precise timetable for completing the transition, we are estimating that it will take approximately a year.”

MSNBC has seen a steep decline in post-election ratings, averaging only 599,000 total viewers on Nov. 13—the smallest Wednesday audience since June 29, 2016, according to Fox News, which averaged 2.3 million viewers on the same day.

“The well-capitalized, independent company will be positioned to lead in the changing landscape for cable networks given the strength of its portfolio and the quality and focus of its management team,” Cavanagh said.

Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal’s media group, will take the helm of SpinCo, the outlet reported. Anand Kini, NBCUniversal’s chief financial officer, will take on the role as the new company’s CFO and chief operating officer.

According to Cavanagh, SpinCo “will have significant cash flow, a strong balance sheet, and the financial flexibility to pursue growth opportunities, both organically and potentially through acquisitions.”

This comes as Scarborough and his Morning Joe co-host wife Mika Brzezinski traveled to Mar-a-Lago on Friday to “restart communications” with Trump.

CNN reportedly kicked off major layoffs following its own dismal Election Night performance, Puck News reported.

Hundreds of staffers, particularly on the production side, are expected to lose their jobs after CNN accumulated less viewers than MSNBC that night—as the network barely averages 800,000 on a normal day.

FBI Arrests Homeless Man for Allegedly Plotting to Bomb NY Stock Exchange

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The FBI has arrested a homeless man who was supposedly plotting to bomb the New York Stock Exchange—another bureau sting operation involving multiple undercover agents and at least one informant.

According to the FBI’s criminal complaint, the defendant, Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, had been searching online for how to make explosives since 2017. His job also called the cops on him in July 2023 when he became violent, and he told officers he wanted to “hurt and kill people like the Parkland shooter did,” according to the complaint, which was first reported by Court Watch.

Despite his track record, the FBI claims Yener didn’t come on its radar until February of this year, after receiving a tip that he was storing bombmaking schematics in a Coral Springs, Florida storage unit. He may have been living in that unit, too, as the criminal complaint described him as “unhoused.”

FBI agents interviewed Yener in March and searched his storage unit, allegedly finding “bombmaking sketches, numerous watches with timers, electronic circuit boards, and other electronics … that could be used for constructing explosive devices.” The complaint doesn’t mention finding chemical precursors to actually cause an explosion.

In his interview with the FBI, Yener claimed that ISIS recruited him online in 2015 on Facebook. As Headline USA has reported, such ISIS recruiting schemes are often infiltrated by law enforcement.

In June, Yener communicated with an FBI informant online, telling him he had most of the equipment needed to construct an explosive device and knows how to construct an explosive device. He also disclosed that he previously tried to join the right-wing Proud Boys and Boogaloo Boys, but was denied membership because he “expressed a desire to pursue martyrdom.”

After talking with the FBI informant for weeks, Yener met with an undercover FBI agent on Sept. 26. After another meeting on Oct. 3, Yener allegedly told the undercover agent he settled on the New York Stock Exchange as his target.

On Oct. 23, Yener met with three undercover FBI agents, where he allegedly presented his “plan” to bomb the NYSE the week before Thanksgiving.

A week later, the initial undercover drove him to Home Depot to “purchase wire and a light bulb.”

“YENER told UCE-1 he needed the wire to create the improvised explosive device and the light bulb to test its efficacy,” the FBI’s complaint said.

Yener had several more interactions with the FBI before he was arrested Wednesday.

Next Wave of Ascendant ‘Nvidia’ Hopefuls Focus on AI’s Efficiency after It’s Trained

(Headline USA) Building the current crop of artificial intelligence chatbots has relied on specialized computer chips pioneered by Nvidia, which dominates market and made itself the poster child of the AI boom.

But the same qualities that make those graphics processor chips, or GPUs, so effective at creating powerful AI systems from scratch make them less efficient at putting AI products to work.

That’s opened up the AI chip industry to rivals who think they can compete with Nvidia in selling so-called AI inference chips that are more attuned to the day-to-day running of AI tools and designed to reduce some of the huge computing costs of generative AI.

“These companies are seeing opportunity for that kind of specialized hardware,” said Jacob Feldgoise, an analyst at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology.

“The broader the adoption of these models, the more compute will be needed for inference and the more demand there will be for inference chips,” he added.

What is AI inference?

It takes a lot of computing power to make an AI chatbot. It starts with a process called training or pretraining—the “P” in ChatGPT—that involves AI systems “learning” from the patterns of huge troves of data.

GPUs are good at doing that work because they can run many calculations at a time on a network of devices in communication with each other.

However, once trained, a generative AI tool still needs chips to do the work—such as when you ask a chatbot to compose a document or generate an image. That’s where inferencing comes in.

A trained AI model must take in new information and make inferences from what it already knows to produce a response.

GPUs can do that work, too. But it can be a bit like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

“With training, you’re doing a lot heavier, a lot more work. With inferencing, that’s a lighter weight,” said Forrester analyst Alvin Nguyen.

That’s led startups like Cerebras, Groq and d-Matrix as well as Nvidia’s traditional chipmaking rivals—such as AMD and Intel—to pitch more inference-friendly chips as Nvidia focuses on meeting the huge demand from bigger tech companies for its higher-end hardware.

Inside an AI inference chip lab

D-Matrix, which is launching its first product this week, was founded in 2019—a bit late to the AI chip game, as CEO Sid Sheth explained during a recent interview at the company’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California—the same Silicon Valley city that’s also home to AMD, Intel and Nvidia.

“There were already 100-plus companies. So when we went out there, the first reaction we got was ‘you’re too late,’” he said. The pandemic’s arrival six months later didn’t help as the tech industry pivoted to a focus on software to serve remote work.

Now, however, Sheth sees a big market in AI inferencing, comparing that later stage of machine learning to how human beings apply the knowledge they acquired in school.

“We spent the first 20 years of our lives going to school, educating ourselves. That’s training, right?” he said. “And then the next 40 years of your life, you kind of go out there and apply that knowledge—and then you get rewarded for being efficient.”

The product, called Corsair, consists of two chips with four chiplets each, made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company—the same manufacturer of most of Nvidia’s chips—and packaged together in a way that helps to keep them cool.

The chips are designed in Santa Clara, assembled in Taiwan and then tested back in California. Testing is a long process and can take six months—if anything is off, it can be sent back to Taiwan.

D-Matrix workers were doing final testing on the chips during a recent visit to a laboratory with blue metal desks covered with cables, motherboards and computers, with a cold server room next door.

Who wants AI inference chips?

While tech giants like Amazon, Google, Meta and Microsoft have been gobbling up the supply of costly GPUs in a race to outdo each other in AI development, makers of AI inference chips are aiming for a broader clientele.

Forrester’s Nguyen said that could include Fortune 500 companies that want to make use of new generative AI technology without having to build their own AI infrastructure. Sheth said he expects a strong interest in AI video generation.

“The dream of AI for a lot of these enterprise companies is you can use your own enterprise data,” Nguyen said.

“Buying [AI inference chips] should be cheaper than buying the ultimate GPUs from Nvidia and others,” he added. “But I think there’s going to be a learning curve in terms of integrating it.”

Feldgoise said that, unlike training-focused chips, AI inference work prioritizes how fast a person will get a chatbot’s response.

He said another whole set of companies was developing AI hardware for inference that could run not just in big data centers but locally on desktop computers, laptops and phones.

Why does this matter?

Better-designed chips could bring down the huge costs of running AI to businesses. That could also affect the environmental and energy costs for everyone else.

Sheth said the big concern right now was, “are we going to burn the planet down in our quest for what people call AGI—human-like intelligence?”

It’s still fuzzy when AI might get to the point of artificial general intelligence—predictions range from a few years to decades. But, Sheth notes, only a handful of tech giants are on that quest.

“But then what about the rest?” he said. “They cannot be put on the same path.”

The other set of companies don’t want to use very large AI models—it’s too costly and uses too much energy.

“I don’t know if people truly, really appreciate that inference is actually really going to be a much bigger opportunity than training,” Sheth said. “I don’t think they appreciate that. It’s still training that is really grabbing all the headlines.

House GOP: Biden Admin. Imported 531K Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The House Judiciary Committee published a report Wednesday about the Biden administration’s “CHVN Parole Program,” finding that some 531,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans were flown directly into the country over the last two years.

Federal law allows the Homeland Security Secretary to grant parole to migrants only on a “case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit,” according to the report. Once paroled, the alien can apply for a work permit.

However, the DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has abused that authority to parole some 30,000 migrants per month, the report said.

“Through CHNV, each month up to 30,000 aliens, who otherwise have no basis to enter the country and who have ‘a supporter’ in the United States, can bypass the U.S. border and fly directly into the country ‘on commercial flights’ to be ‘granted parole’ for a period of two years by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security,” the House report said, quoting DHS’s own press releases.

“As of ‘the end of September 2024, more than 531,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans’ had done so.”

Earlier this year, an internal DHS report found that the CHNV program was plagued with fraud. For example, the internal review found that the same social security numbers, addresses, and phone numbers were being used hundreds of times in some cases.

The program was also found to have been exploited by sex traffickers. “In one such case, 21 supporter applications were submitted from the same IP address on behalf of 18 females and only three males. At least six of the females were under the age of 18,” the House report said.

After the fraud was found, the CHNV program was temporarily shuttered. But the Biden administration restarted it about a month later. More than 3 million CHNV applications have been filed and more than 600,000 have been approved, meaning hundreds of thousands more Haitians, Cubans, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans could fly into the country before Donald Trump takes office in January.

The House report did not include any recommendations, and the committee was criticized for not publishing it before Election Day.

However, the House Judiciary did issue a similar report on Nov. 4 about the Biden-Harris administration partnering with foreign United Nations workers to bypass the Southwest border and quietly send thousands of immigrants to the U.S.—on the American taxpayer dime.

According to that report, foreigners can simply apply online with the UN for refugee status. If the foreigners meet the definition of a refugee and are approved for resettlement, then “they receive taxpayer-provided travel loans to facilitate their travel to the United States”—allowing them to avoid going through Mexico and the Southwest border, the report said.

As of mid-October, 66,758 aliens have been referred to the U.S. for “potential resettlement”—and 18,154 aliens have departed to be resettled, according to the report.

‘We Love You’: Trump Reacts to Verdict of Laken Riley Trial

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Republican President-elect Donald Trump reacted Wednesday to the verdict of the Laken Riley trial.

Illegal Venezuelan migrant Jose Ibarra was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday for brutally murdering 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley in February when she was on a run at the University of Georgia.

Trump took to social media soon after the verdict was reached, saying, “We love you,” to Riley and promising to stop the border crisis.

“JUSTICE FOR LAKEN RILEY!” Trump wrote on social media. “The Illegal who killed our beloved Laken Riley was just found GUILTY on all counts for his horrific crimes.”

The president-elected hoped the Riley’s family will now be able to have some closure.

“Although the pain and heartbreak will last forever, hopefully this can help bring some peace and closure to her wonderful family who fought for Justice, and to ensure that other families don’t have to go through what they have,” he added. “We love you, Laken, and our hearts will always be with you.”

Trump reiterated his message about the need for border security.

“It is time to secure our Border, and remove these criminals and thugs from our Country, so nothing like this can happen again!” Trump said.

The official Trump War Room account on X posted footage of Ibarra as he was found guilty of all 10 charges.

“Laken Riley should be alive. This animal never should have been in our county,” the Trump War Room wrote. “On January 20th, this madness will end once and for all.”

Before Ibarra was sentenced, Riley’s mother, Allyson Phillips, delivered a devastating victim impact statement from the courtroom in Athens, Georgia.

She begged the judge to give the illegal migrant “monster” who killed her daughter life in prison.

“This horrendous individual robbed us all of our hopes and dreams for Laken,” Riley’s mother said. “You’re honor, I’m asking you to please get Jose Ibarra the same thing he gave us when he made the choice to take Laken’s life and destroy ours. He showed no mercy on Laken when she was begging for her life.”

John Phillips, Riley’s stepfather, read aloud a devastating letter the 22-year-old wrote to her future husband.

The Trump War Room blasted the Biden-Harris administration for failing Riley and her family, assuring the same “heartbreak” will never happen under the incoming Trump administration.

‘Abuse of Power’: Cruz Rips Alvin Bragg for Freezing Trump Sentencing

(Julianna Frieman, Headline USA) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tore into Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Wednesday for agreeing to postpone President-elect Donald Trump’s sentencing until his second term as president is over.

Bragg’s office said Tuesday in a letter to Judge Juan Merchan that Trump is not likely to be sentenced “until after the end of Defendant’s upcoming presidential term” in 2029, CNN reported.

On Verdict, Cruz ripped Bragg for leaving Trump’s 34-count conviction “hanging out there.”

“President Trump has filed a motion to dismiss his criminal conviction and the Manhattan prosecutor, instead of agreeing to that, has suggested to the judge, no, no, don’t dismiss it,” Cruz said on his podcast. “Just put it on hold for four years. Just freeze it, don’t sentence him.”

Cruz continued to blast the DA’s decision.

“Just leave the conviction hanging out there,” Cruz added. “And I gotta say, look, unprecedented doesn’t begin to describe it. It is an absolute abuse of power.”

Cruz, who stood beside Trump to watch SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s rocket launch Tuesday afternoon in Brownsville, said he spoke to the president-elect on the plane about the four criminal cases he had endured on 2024 campaign trail.

He called the legal warfare waged against Trump a “political witch hunt.”

The Texas senator took aim at Bragg for trying to hold the potential sentencing over Trump’s head until he ends his term at age 82.

“This guy’s enough of a zealot that I mean, he’s literally talking about, okay, four plus years from now, when he’s done with being president, is 82 years old, Alvin Bragg wants to put him in jail like it, just to be there to threaten the president every day,” Cruz said. “And by the way, number four, he wants CNN and MSNBC and all of the corporate media to refer to him as a convicted felon over and over and over again.”

He added it would be “problematic” for the mainstream media if the case was just tossed.

Cruz predicted that Bragg’s efforts to disrupt Trump’s second term with a lingering sentencing would not be successful.

“I do not believe Alvin Bragg will succeed in this,” he said. “Either the trial judge will say, ‘Look, this is not tenable, you can’t, you can’t have a jury verdict and then just free sentencing for four years.’”

Cruz added an appellate court could dismiss the case as well.

“Or if not, I think we will see an appellate court step in and say that this is inconsistent with New York law and is inconsistent with the Constitution,” he said.

Nancy Mace Gets Death Threats from Tranny Mafia over House Bathroom Ban

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) As the U.S. House of Representatives awaits the coming of its first ever transgender representative, Democrat Sarah McBride of Delaware, House Republicans are trying to pass a resolution ensuring that only biological women are permitted in women’s restrooms, according to the New York Post.

The resolution was introduced Monday by Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., who noted that “[b]iological men do not belong in private women’s spaces. Period. Full stop. End of story.”

If passed, members and officers of the United States Government would not be permitted to use “single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex.”

Mace has received death threats over her proposed legislation, according to The Hill.

“They are threatening to kill me over this,” Mace said. “Men that want to use women’s restrooms are threatening to kill me over this issue.”

McBride defeated Republican John Whalen III earlier this month in the race for Delaware’s only House seat.

According to the representative-elect, Delaware voters showed just how open-minded Americans are.

“I didn’t run to make history. I ran to make a difference for my state and this country,” McBride said in a victory statement. “I think this is a powerful message that Delawareans are fair-minded and that our democracy is big enough for all of us.”

In the wake of the election, Mace and others in the House are trying to prepare for McBride’s presence in the Capitol.

“Never thought this would have to happen,” Mace noted after introducing the resolution. “Protecting biological women starts here and it starts now.”

According to NPR, Republicans have “amplified anti-trans messaging in recent years,” and this is the latest instance of bigotry.

McBride argued that Mace is simply “manufacturing culture wars” instead of focusing on “making the American dream more affordable and accessible.”

The incoming representative also restated some of the usual lines, calling Mace a “far right-wing extremist” who’s concerns about biological men in women’s bathrooms are not legitimate political issues.

Though many House Republicans reportedly support the resolution, some have expressed doubt about it, leading to concerns that it may not pass.

Rep. Tom Cole, R-Ok., for instance, noted that he is “not getting involved in the bathroom debate.”
