The Democrat congressman from Maryland told Daily Show comedian Jon Stewart that “being in the minority party is a lot more fun.”
“I don’t know who’s in charge of the Democratic Party. I don’t know the direction you’re going,” Stewart said.
He asked Raskin, who lead the charge during President-elect Donald Trump’s second sham impeachment, whether he found it “enlivening” that Democrats have the chance to reform their party beyond the leadership of its Obama-Pelosi underbelly following the historic election loss of Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Yes, and being in the minority definitely is a lot more fun,” he told the Daily Show host. “And it invites a lot of creativity and it’s, you know, it’s a riot.”
Raskin added, “We now have the opportunity to organize for massive Democratic victory in 2026, and that’s exactly what we’re doing. Because we think that everywhere they’re heading is so extreme that the vast majority of the American people are gonna reject it.”
He then went straight into a political rant laced with pro-abortion and pro-illegal immigration talking points.

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Tom Metzger was one of the most prominent American white nationalists in the 20th century, founding a group called the White Aryan Resistance and battling with the Southern Poverty Law Center in high-profile court cases.
According to newly released FBI records, Metzger might also have been a member of The Order, a neo-Nazi bank robbery gang that stole over $2.5 million from 1983-84. The Order is receiving newfound media attention thanks to a new film about the group, featuring actors such as Jude Law, Marc Maron and Jurnee Smollett.
According to FBI records released last Tuesday, the bureau interviewed one of its confidential informants in December 1984, and stated that “Metzger has been identified in the Aryan Nations domestic terrorism case as a member of ‘The Order.’” It’s not clear who the FBI informant might have been—though by that time, one of The Order’s members, Tom Martinez, had already flipped and turned state’s witness.
Another FBI memo dated June 1985 stated that Metzger may have received some $200,000 from The Order’s bank heists. The June 1985 memo was about an investigation into allegations that Metzger’s group, WAR, plastered neo-Nazi posters on Jewish schools in San Francisco.
“WAR is described as an umbrella group in the San Francisco Bay Area which combined the activities of the Ku Klux Klan and other right-wing extremists,” the FBI memo stated. “The purported leader of WAR is Thomas Metzger, a known member of the ‘Order’ code-named Radio, who is believed to have received $200,000 in robbery loot from other ‘Order’ members.”
The final recently released FBI memo that talks about Metzger and The Order is from June 1986. It stated that The Order’s leader, Bob Matthews, gave Metzger “at least” $100,000. That memo also stated that Metzger provided radio equipment to The Order. That memo also indicates there were multiple informants spying on Metzger’s group.

Metzger, who died in 2020, was never charged in relation to The Order’s robberies. Nevertheless, the allegations in the new FBI docs are supported by public sources, including the definitive book on The Order, The Silent Brotherhood. That book states that Matthews listed WAR as one of the intended recipients of his robberies, though it doesn’t say how much he gave. The book also contradicts FBI records by identifying Metzger’s code-name as “Bear”—not “Radio.”
The FBI records also add to a remarkable story that attorney Kirk Lyons, who represented one of The Order’s members, told this publication last year. According to Lyons, Metzger used some of The Order’s proceeds to help free the wife of his client, then-KKK leader Louis Beam, who had been imprisoned in Mexico.
The lawyer’s story comes from his friend and former colleague David Hollaway—a pilot who worked for a CIA front company in the 1980s, reportedly claimed inside knowledge of the Oklahoma City bombing in the 90s and, bizarrely, currently works as a contractor for NASA.
Lyons said he sent Hollaway to retrieve Beam’s wife, Sheila, from Mexican prison.
Lyons said Mexican law enforcement had raided Beam’s home because the FBI told them he was a drug lord. However, only Sheila was inside. She thought she was being robbed, and shot at one of the Mexican agents, Lyons said
“They sent their Mexican agent who spoke English to get her out. He just said, ‘Get down here.’ She found the pistol she was trained to use. He was coming upstairs with a shotgun. She wouldn’t comply because she didn’t know who this guy was, opened fire, and put two rounds in him and took out half of his liver.”
In response, the “Yaqui Indians with machine guns” outside opened fire, spraying some 500 rounds into the Beam residence, according to Lyons.
It was after the gunfire stopped that Sheila’s troubles began, the lawyer lamented.
“Many bad things happened to her. I think she was tortured and worse,” he said, declining to go into the gruesome details. “And that all happened with the FBI in the next room … The FBI didn’t lift a finger because if she’s in a Mexican prison, that’s pressure they can put on Louis, who is on a short trip to the U.S.”
Lyons said his initial understanding is that Mexican authorities were furious that the FBI misled them that Beam was a drug lord, apparently releasing Sheila because they didn’t want to deal with her. A Mexican judge ruled that she acted in self-defense.
However, Lyons said FBI Agent Norm Stephenson later told him that Metzger bribed Mexican authorities with proceeds of The Order’s multimillion dollar armored-car robbery.
“Take it with a grain of salt, but [Stephenson] told me that Tom Metzger put up the money to get her out … Money from The Order. That’s what Norm Stephenson said. I didn’t believe it, but that’s what he told me,” Lyons told Headline USA.
“I told him, ‘It’s still a miracle.’ We thought we’d never get her out of there. That’s what brought me back to the Lord.”
Headline USA shared the newly released FBI records with Lyons last week, and he said they confirmed what he was told.
“FBI Agent Norm Stephenson told me that after the Sedition Trial, when he was returning Beam’s seized property,” Lyons said last week in an email. “It made sense to me save that they never picked Metzger up on that, if they believed it.”
In any event, Metzger would be tied to an even deadlier domestic terrorist event a decade later: the April 19, 1995, Oklahoma City bombing.
As Headline USA has reported, FBI whistleblowers and independent investigations have found that Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh had help from a group of white nationalists that lived in an Oklahoma compound called Elohim City. An undercover ATF informant warned her handlers in early 1995 that Elohim City residents were casing federal buildings and planning an attack—but she was ignored.
According to investigator Roger Charles’s book, Oklahoma City: What the Investigation Missed, and Why it Matters, Metzger may have also been at Elohim City during the plotting of the OKC bombing.
“When would McVeigh have been at Elohim City? He received a traffic ticket just over the Arkansas state line in the fall of 1993, and spent the night in a nearby motel on September 12, 1994. Those have to be strong possibilities,” Charles wrote, before turning to Metzger.
“Another intriguing date is November 1, 1994, when Tom Metzger, one of the godfathers of the radical right, paid a visit to Elohim City with Dennis Mahon,” he said.
“It is tempting to think that McVeigh would have been there to take lessons from the master, and it was not far out of his way—he was driving from Kansas to upstate New York at the time.”

With less than two weeks until President-elect Donald Trump takes office, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerbergsaid his social media platforms will restore free speech and shift focus to intervention according to the law.

Zuckerberg also said they are moving the content moderation team from California to Texas.
The big tech company claimed its fact-check policy was “well-intentioned at the outset,” according to Meta Chief Global Affairs Officer Joel Kaplan, but “too much political bias” infiltrated the scrapped system.
“If you can say it on TV, you can say it on the floor of Congress, you certainly ought to be able to say it on Facebook and Instagram,” the Meta executive added.

Meta’s departure from censorship came after a two-year Facebook and Instagram ban was imposed on Trump following the 2020 election.
The company lifted Trump’s ban ahead of the Republican Party convention in 2023, stating, “we don’t want to get in the way of open, public and democratic debate on Meta’s platforms—especially in the context of elections in democratic societies like the United States.”
Walking away from leftist dogma that led Meta platforms to interfere in the 2020 election through censorship of conservative influencers and crucial stories like the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop bombshell, Zuckerberg landed on lifting restrictions on certain topics and removing the reduction of political content.
Zuckerberg’s new affinity for Trump came after Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who bought Twitter and reformed it as the free speech haven X, became a key ally to the president-elect.
In a move viewed as best for business and most favorable to the incoming administration, Meta adopted Musk’s community notes system to replace its fact-checkers.

“The idea was they’re independent fact-checkers, but they’ve just been too biased,” Kaplan told Fox News. “What we’re going to do instead is adopt a system like X has.”
Meta will also relocate its Safety and Trust team out of California and to Texas—the same state where Musk moved SpaceX.
Kaplan told Fox News that the Biden administration’s social media censorship made it “open season” for other countries to trounce on free speech.
The Meta executive admitted that the Democrat-run government put “a lot of pressure” on the company to especially censorship “humor and satire” related to the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines.

“We did experience that kind of pressure,” Kaplan confessed on Fox and Friends, although he acknowledged Meta decided on its own to abide by the Democrats’ demands.
Meta donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund in December, just as other big tech billionaires, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, did the same. The Meta CEO met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in late November.
Late Monday, Ultimate Fighting Championship boss Dana White, who made key campaign appearances for Trump, was revealed to be a new member on Meta’s board of directors as the company’s politics shift.
White wrote on X, “I love social media. And I’m excited to be a small part of the future of AI and emerging technologies.”

Harris ran a 107-day campaign after Biden succumbed to his party’s pressure to drop his reelection bid.
On her first show of 2025, Kelly and Rumble personality Glenn Greenwald shared a laugh over how the media portrayed the “terrible” Harris as a “historic” black, female candidate.
Greenwald commented that Harris’s schtick lasted three weeks before “the whole house came crashing down.” Kelly mocked the vice president’s use of bizarre accents and called her “so fake.”
“It’s just so fake! I don’t know, I’ve been asking myself that same question. Which is the bigger lie, that he was competent to do the job or that she was?” Kelly pondered.
The SiriusXM host arrived at the conclusion that both Biden and Harris were equally unfit to be president.
“God… they’re tied. Because Joe Biden was totally incompetent, he did not have the mental acuity—still doesn’t, and he’s still president right now,” Kelly added. “Certainty couldn’t do a second term.”
Kelly added that Harris was “the biggest moron to ever run for president or vice president.”
“That became more and more obvious day after day,” she said.
Greenwald said even with Biden’s “brain melting,” he still has a political instinct Harris lacks.
He noted that the Democrats were in “a huge bind” due to Biden’s cognitive decline and their racial and gender-based politics.

“The identity politics framework that they created, that they thought would help them, has become their Frankenstein. And they were trapped. They were damned if they did and damned if they didn’t,” Greenwald said of Democrats who ran Harris as Biden’s replacement.

CNN data reporter Harry Enten broke down the numbers of voters who believe President-elect Donald Trump’s association with Jan. 6 should make him ineligible for the presidency, revealing a notable decline from Jan. 2021 to 2023 and 2024.
A “clear majority”— 56%—of voters believed Trump should be barred from the presidency in January 2021, while only 47% held the same belief in 2023 and 2024, according to CNN’s review.
“Of course, Donald Trump won the presidency,” Enten conceded, in what marked a drastic departure from the propagandist network’s postelection coverage in 2016.
“And part of the reason why was because of views on Trump completely shifted, including Trump’s role in Jan. 6, 2021,” he noted.
The nine-point drop in disapproval of the Jan. 6 uprising, which came as Congress sought to certify the highly contentious and disputed 2020 election in favor of Democrat Joe Biden, made “all the difference in the world,” Enten said.
“Of course, Donald Trump won the vast, vast, vast, vast majority of the other 53%,” he added, referencing the Republican’s historic 2024 victory, in which Trump won the popular vote, Electoral College, all seven battleground states and both chambers of Congress.
Despite Enten’s assertion that views on Jan. 6 had shifted, conservative media outlets have consistently sought to disabuse news consumers of the blatant disinformation promoted by CNN and others.
In the immediate aftermath, however, many of those seeking to report truthfully and accurately on it found themselves censored, canceled or even prosecuted as victims of the Biden Justice Department’s relentless lawfare campaign.
Kirk noted in a panel discussion on his show “Thoughtcrime” that, four years ago, no one within the establishment wanted to touch anything linked to Trump or Jan. 6.
Even though he, himself, was watching the events unfold all the way across the country in Phoenix, Kirk was later subpoenaed by House Democrats’ dubious Jan. 6 committee—and struggled to find legal representation.
“There are entire law firms that will go out of their way to represent terrorist bombers, to represent the worst people in society,” he said. “But we just remember back to where we were four years ago, it looked like this were the death sentence of the modern conservative, nationalist, populist movement.”
Kirk added that, following Trump’s “renaissance” victory, “it looks like it’s the exact opposite.”
Nonetheless, many on the Democrats’ side have refused to acknowledge the reality of Jan. 6—and continue to push bald-faced lies to persuade the public that it was an atrocity on par with the Holocaust.
Mollie Hemingway, editor-in-chief of The Federalist, took aim at Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., for falsely claiming police officers were “killed” on Jan. 6, 2021.
“Was shocked to see Sen. Klobuchar falsely claim today ‘police officers’ were ‘killed’ on J6. Just a brazen lie. It’s literal fake news,” Hemingway wrote on X.
She hinted that Klobuchar, who sits on the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee and previously ran for president, might have been duped by another fake-news network, MSNBC.
“One year ago Rachel Maddow falsely claimed J6 protesters had ‘bludgeoned to death’ a police officer,” Hemingway noted. “Complete lie. And never corrected.”

Dozens of mostly peaceful Jan. 6 protesters were thrown in federal prison for years by the Biden administration, and Trump has pledged to issue pardons to the political prisoners as soon as his first day back in office.
“Those people have suffered long and hard,” Trump told Meet the Press of the Jan. 6 “hostages” in his first sit-down TV interview since winning a second term.
But he noted that not all of the people who entered into the Capitol may not have been there simply to exercise their free-speech rights, since some may have been colluding with leftist subversives to deliberately undermine the MAGA movement and legitimate concerns over systemic vote fraud.
“There may be some exceptions to it. I have to look,” Trump said. “But uh you know, if somebody was radical crazy, there might be some people from Antifa there.”

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) New details from the Utah Attorney General’s lawsuit against TikTok were released Friday, showing that the social media company allegedly allowed child grooming to run rampant on its site.
Utah AG Sean Reyes initially filed its allegations against TikTok in a lawsuit last June, but some of the most damning details remained redacted until Friday.
“TikTok coupled its livestream feature with monetization to create an environment built on exchanging TikTok’s virtual currency for sexual and illegal acts. TikTok’s internal ‘Project Meramec’ investigation and the admissions of its employees document how TikTok LIVE allows adults to pay young users to strip, pose, and dance provocatively for ‘diamonds,’ which can be cashed out for real money,” Reyes said in a press release.
Newly unredacted details also alleged that TikTok’s algorithm favors and boosts live feeds that receive virtual currency gifts. Those feeds with a high currency exchange often involve money laundering, sexual content, or both, according to Reyes.
“As a result, this dangerous content is prioritized and featured at the top of user feeds and labeled as ‘TopLives.’ Thus, new or curious children on the platform will fall into a hazardous community with no warning,” the attorney general alleged.
Along with child exploitation, new details from Friday’s lawsuit also included allegations that TikTok’s livestream feature has enabled the financing of terrorist groups, such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.
“In fact, in 2022, Turkey’s Financial Crimes Investigation Board found ISIL benefitted from some of the approximately 1.5 billion liras (approximately $82 million) that was transferred to U.S. and foreign TikTok LIVE users in a money-laundering and terrorist-financing scheme,” the lawsuit alleged.
The above lawsuit is the second one filed by Utah’s AG against TikTok. The first one was filed in October 2023, and accused the company of “designing and implementing addictive features aimed at hooking young users into endless use of its app.” Reyes said he discovered much of the abovementioned malfeasance once TikTok was forced to finally comply with his subpoenas. TikTok had to be held in contempt of court before doing so, he added.
The Utah AG seeks a court order prohibiting TikTok from continuing its allegedly illegal activity, as well as damages and costs.

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) After surging to the highest levels of 2024 in October, central bank gold buying continued in earnest in November.
Based on the latest data collected by the World Gold Council, central banks added a net 53 tonnes of gold to their holdings in November. That pushed official central bank gold buying to 807 tonnes for the year after a record third quarter.
A World Gold Council analyst said the continued increase of central bank gold reserves in November “extends a broader trend” we saw throughout 2024, “driven by the need for a stable and secure asset amid global economic uncertainties.”
Speaking of the Chinese central bank, it publicly returned to the table after a 6-month pause with a 5-ton increase to its official gold reserves. China was the biggest central bank gold buyer in 2023 but stopped announcing increases to its reserves in May.
Poland was the biggest buyer in November, increasing its gold reserves by another 21 tonnes. The National Bank of Poland now holds almost 18 percent of its reserves in gold.
Earlier this year, National Bank of Poland Governor Adam Glapiński indicated the central bank plans to increase its gold holdings to 20 percent of its reserves.
“This makes Poland a more credible country, we have a better standing in all ratings, we are a very serious partner, and we will continue to buy gold.”
With December data still to come, Poland ranks as the biggest gold buyer of 2024, having added 90 tonnes to its reserves.
Uzbekistan reported a 9-ton increase in its reserves. It was the first purchase by the Uzbek central bank since July.
It is not uncommon for banks that buy from domestic production – such as Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan – to switch between buying and selling.
Kazakhstan flipped from selling to buying in October and added another 5 tonnes of gold to its stockpile in November.
India continued to increase its gold holding with an 8-ton purchase. Through November, the Reserve Bank of India had added 73 tonnes of gold to its reserves.
An Indian economist told the Times of India that the push to accumulate gold was based on both political and economic reasons. He said that the “reliability” of the U.S. dollar has “diminished.” He noted the “noticeable decline” in the confidence in U.S. dollar assets.
Another economist told the Times, “It makes a lot of sense (to invest in gold), given the increased volatility in the FX market, elevated interest rates in the U.S., and, of course, also as the central banks in each economy would like to diversify the asset classes in which they are parking their reserves.”
Several other countries reported increases in their gold reserves in November.

Singapore was the biggest seller in November, decreasing its gold holdings by 5 tonnes.
The Bank of Finland also reported a 10 percent decrease in its gold reserves. According to a statement by the bank, “Exchange rate risk is the most significant of the Bank of Finland’s financial asset risks. Increasing the size of its foreign exchange reserves elevates the Bank’s exchange rate risk considerably, and so the Bank is strengthening its foreign exchange rate provision by selling about 10% of its gold reserves.”
With only December data left to compile, central banks are on track for their 15th straight year of increasing gold reserves.
According to the World Gold Council, central banks net gold purchases totaled 1,037 tons in 2023. It was the second straight year central banks added more than 1,000 tons to their total reserves.
Central bank gold buying in 2023 built on the prior record year. Total central bank gold buying in 2022 came in at 1,136 tons. It was the highest level of net purchases on record dating back to 1950, including since the suspension of dollar convertibility into gold in 1971.
According to these analysts, “Depleted trust in the U.S. fixed-income assets and the rise of non-reserve currencies are other themes that could support central bank gold buying.”
(Jesse Colombo, Money Metals News Service) Silver is making a strong comeback at the start of 2025, following a challenging year-end performance in 2024.
There is good reason to suspect that bullion banks have deliberately driven gold and silver prices lower at the close of 2024 to “paint the charts” and influence the yearly closing prices.
This tactic seems plausible, given the solid gains gold and silver posted throughout the year—26% and 21%, respectively. With the new year underway, the stage is set for the gold and silver bull market to regain momentum and potentially exceed last year’s performance.
Although silver broke below its uptrend line on December 18th, it appears to have formed a double bottom and rebounded off the downtrend line that began in May.
To confirm that the sell-off is truly over and silver’s rally is ready to resume, I would like to see it close back above the uptrend line, effectively negating the December 18th breakdown. Following that, a convincing close above the $32–$33 resistance zone—an area that has posed a significant challenge for the past seven months—would strengthen the bullish case.
If silver can sustain a close above this key level, it should pave the way for a rally to $35, $40, and ultimately higher.
While silver has remained stagnant since late October, there’s reason to believe this is merely another consolidation phase, similar to those seen a year ago and during the past summer.
If history repeats itself, and a breakout occurs, silver could be poised for another strong rally, just as it did following the previous consolidation periods.
I closely monitor gold, as it, along with copper, plays a significant role in influencing silver prices.
Currently, COMEX gold futures are trading within a range of $2,550 to $2,800. To confirm that gold’s bull market has resumed, a decisive, high-volume close above both the triangle pattern and the $2,800 resistance level is necessary.
Such a breakout would likely propel gold to $3,000 and beyond in short order, which would prove very beneficial for silver as well.
In addition to gold, I closely monitor the price of copper, as it significantly influences silver’s performance.
For silver to gain meaningful bullish momentum, a strong rally in copper is likely necessary. Currently, copper is hovering near its key $4 support level, and a rebound from this point would be a positive signal. If copper can successfully rally, the next critical test will be the $5–$5.20 resistance zone.
A decisive close above this range should ignite a powerful copper bull market, which would likely have a favorable impact on silver prices.
I’ve developed an indicator to help confirm price movements in silver, called the Synthetic Silver Price Index (SSPI).
This index combines the average prices of copper and gold, with copper adjusted by a factor of 540 to prevent gold from disproportionately influencing the index. The SSPI closely mirrors silver’s price movement, even though silver itself is not an input.
The encouraging news is that the SSPI has just bounced off its uptrend line, signaling underlying strength. The next key step is for the index to achieve a decisive close above the 2,600–2,640 resistance zone, which would provide a strong bullish signal for silver.
Though silver investor sentiment is currently quite negative, it’s important to step back and focus on the bigger picture, which remains very positive.
The 200-day moving average of silver prices, which smooths out short-term volatility, is at its highest level since 2013.
Trends in motion tend to persist, suggesting that this underlying strength is likely to carry into 2025 and beyond.

It will take some time for investors to recognize how undervalued silver mining stocks truly are—but when they do, these stocks are poised to soar.
Although silver stagnated at the end of 2024, the new year brings plenty of reasons for optimism. Most investors are currently underestimating silver, overlooking its strong overall performance over the past year and dismissing the fact that its bull market is just beginning, with significant potential ahead.

Other conservatives on Twitter also suggested that people who claim that Trump “staging” the first assassination attempt on his life and “cheating” in the 2024 election with the help of Elon Musk, Russia and the Republican Party was enough to prevent the certification of the 2024 election are “nuts.”

Some people asked a rhetorical question of whether the leftists would admit that Trump was elected president after Harris herself certified the election, and others stated that Democrats would rather continue saying that “Kamala is waiting in the wings.”

However, Harris disappointed leftists after declaring that she would certify the election.

Many conservatives in the comments section criticized Harris, stating that she was one of the reasons why the overwhelming majority of people voted for Trump in this election.

Harris certified the election and declared that Trump would become the next president of the United States. After certifying that she lost the election, Trump received a standing ovation from the politicians in Washington, D.C.

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) In his New Year’s Day speech, Greenland Prime Minister Múte Egede announced that he wants the island to become independent from Denmark, reminding people about President-elect Donald Trump’s recent proposition to buy Greenland.
“The Greenlandic people’s opportunity for independence has been adopted through the provisions of the Self-Government Act, thereby creating a legal basis for how independence can be achieved,” Egede stated on the government’s website, as the Daily Wire translated.
He then stated that Denmark didn’t treat Greenland very well, claiming that the island was stuck in the “colonial era” and that it was time to “move on.”
“A draft constitution for our country has also been prepared,” he said. “Work has already begun with regard to creating the framework for Greenland as an independent state within the possibilities and provisions of the Self-Government Act.”
Trump previously suggested that the United States should buy Greenland because of national security reasons.
“For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity,” Trump said last month.
Former Trump National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien also appeared on Fox News at the end of last month, agreeing with Trump about Greenland and stating that it “is going to be the critical battleground of the future” since the “Russians and Chinese are all over the Arctic.”
“Now the Kingdom of Denmark owns Greenland, and they’ve got an obligation to defend Greenland,” he said. “And so President Trump said, ‘If you don’t defend Greenland, we’ll buy it and we’ll defend it, but we’re not going to defend it for free and let you not develop Greenland and not extract the minerals and oil and resources of Greenland, and while we defend it, Denmark gets rich, and the Kingdom of Denmark becomes even wealthier.’”
O’Brien also noted that if the U.S. buys Greenland, Trump would make it a part of Alaska.
“I mean, the native people in Greenland are very closely related to the people of Alaska, and we’ll make it a part of Alaska,” he said.
