80 Nearly Died in Toronto Crash—But Hey, At Least the Pilot Was a Woman

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Yes—80 people nearly lost their lives aboard a Toronto-bound plane that crashed while landing on Monday, but at least one of the pilots was a woman. Because who needs a safe plane when you have diversity and inclusion? 

On Wednesday, an X user named “Indian Bronson” alleged he received information that the pilot of Delta Connection Flight 4819 was a “woman who just got her ATP,” or Airline Transport Pilot. His post has since garnered more than 2.3 million views. 

Dr. Houman David Hemmati, a Fox News guest, echoed Indian Bronson’s reporting, affirming the name of the pilot was Kendal Swanson, a former instructor pilot for a small propellor aircraft.

Headline USA could not independently verify these claims and the gender and qualifications of the second pilot remain private. 

The criticism for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion stems from allegations that citizens are paying the price for industries, like aviation, prioritizing inclusion over merit and expertise. 

Seemingly addressing these concerns, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian said on Wednesday that the flight crew on board was experienced. 

“There is one level of safety at Delta,” Bastian told CBS News. “All these pilots train for these conditions. They fly under all kinds of conditions at all of the airports in which we operate. So, no, there’s nothing specific with respect to experience that I’d look to.” 

Flight 4819 took off from Minneapolis and headed to Toronto, carrying 76 passengers and four crew members. 

During landing, the plane’s abrupt touchdown caused it to lose one of its wings and slide sideways. As it lost balance, the other wing tore off, bursting the plane in flames. The aircraft eventually slid upside down, according to viral video of the crash. 

Miraculously, all 80 passengers made it out alive.

Delta has yet to identify the pilots. Instead, it is offering $30,000 to each passenger following the crash, though it claims the payment comes with no strings attached.

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Elderly politicians keep dropping like dominoes—first Senator Mitch McConnell, then former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and now a third from the Deep South. 

Mississippi Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann collapsed on a live camera while presiding over the state Senate on Wednesday morning, quickly drawing viral attention on social media. 

Hosemann, a 77-year-old Republican, has been Gov. Tate Reeves’s second-in-command since 2020 and previously served 12 years as Mississippi’s secretary of state. 

The shocking moment, captured on video, showed Hosemann hunched over the podium as he struggled to read some documents before suddenly keeling.

A second later, he crashed to the floor. His aides and colleagues rushed to his side as the Senate session was abruptly recessed. 

Shortly after, he was seen walking toward a vehicle, according to Mississippi’s WLBT. In a statement, Hosemann dismissed concerns, claiming he was merely “dehydrated” and is “feeling fine now.” 

“I am grateful for Mississippi’s phenomenal medical professionals and am ready to go back to work tomorrow. Lesson learned: Stay hydrated,” he said. 

Hosemann’s shocking fall comes amid growing calls for term limits as the ruling class clings to power despite visible signs of physical and cognitive decline.

Most recently, disgraced former President Joe Biden, 82, served as the oldest commander-in-chief in U.S. history—until his own party forced him out of the 2024 race, admitting he was too old to win.

Ironically, one of the leading Democrats pushing Biden aside was Pelosi, the 84-year-old San Francisco lawmaker, who was caught on video limping and struggling to climb into an SUV outside the U.S. Capitol. 

Pelosi underwent hip replacement surgery after a brutal fall during an official visit to Luxembourg.  Yet, in November, she secured her 20th term in Congress—having first been elected in 1987. 

McConnell, 83, the former Senate minority leader, had also faced relentless calls to step down. 

McConnell has suffered several falls and was twice captured on camera frozen and unable to speak. Like Pelosi, he was seen struggling to stand from a wheelchair outside the Capitol.

‘Loser!’: Trump Impersonator Humiliates Robert De Niro in Hilarious Smackdown

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Robert De Niro, the once-acclaimed actor turned leftist activist, faced the wrath of President Donald Trump—well, not the real one—on the streets of New York City on Tuesday. 

De Niro was in New York for the premiere of his Netflix show Zero Day when he was confronted by none other than the commander-in-chief himself—well, an impersonator, albeit an impressively convincing one. 

The impersonator, comedian Jason Scoop, later shared the confrontation on X, where the video has since garnered over 1.4 million views due to the hilarious nature of the De Niro takedown.

“Bobby, it’s your favorite president,” Scoop shouted as De Niro crossed the street outside the Paris Theater in Midtown Manhattan. 

“I forgive you, Bobby, for being such a loser about the election. It’s not your fault you were born with a low IQ. It’s not your fault, Bobby,” Scoop added.

De Niro tried to ignore Scoop, but the impersonator successfully kept up his barrage of insults. 

“Bobby, your favorite president won! Kamala lost. She lost so strongly. You were wrong! You’re a loser,” Scoop exclaimed. “Your show sucks. You’re gonna get low ratings, Bobby. Look at that—from Raging Bull to Raging Nobody. Such a disgrace. You’re such a disgrace. It’s a horror.” 

The comedian then poked fun at embattled former Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the 2024 election in a Trump landslide: “Kamala is getting drunk somewhere.” 

The odds of Trump, the formidable 47th president, ever crossing paths with De Niro, a so-called A-list actor, are slim. However, Scoop’s jabs echoed what Trump himself has said about De Niro. 

“De Niro should focus on his life, which is a mess, rather than the lives of others. He has become a total loser, as the World watches, waits, and laughs!” Trump wrote on Truth Social in 2023.  

In 2024, he added, “I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was.” 

The two have traded barbs in recent years, at least since 2016, when Trump rose like a phoenix to power in the election.

Outside a courtroom for Trump’s Manhattan trial, De Niro was even scolded by some of the president’s supporters. “You’re washed up!” several MAGA backers told the actor, who was guarded by more than five security personnel.

Unlike De Niro’s fading career, Trump’s winning streak has only continued despite countless obstacles—including two assassination attempts.

Trump Signs Order to Study How to Expand IVF and Calls for ‘Radical Transparency’ from Government

(Headline USA) President Donald Trump has signed an executive order meant to expand access to and reduce costs of in vitro fertilization and issued a presidential memorandum calling for “radical transparency requirements” from the government, which he suggested could reduce wasteful spending.

On the campaign trail, Trump called for universal coverage of IVF treatment.

Trump, who was at his Florida residence and club, Mar-a-Lago, on Tuesday, also signed another executive order as well as a presidential memorandum. The second executive order outlined the oversight functions of the Office of Management and Budget, while the memo requires the government to detail the “waste, fraud and abuse” that’s found as the Department of Government Efficiency, overseen by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, looks to cut government spending.

Trump took more than 30 minutes of questions Tuesday on a range of topics and bashed the Biden administration throughout, highlighting issues such as its handling of the U.S.-Mexico border, Venezuela policy and Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Trump said he thought he had a “good chance” to end Russia’s war in Ukraine but bristled at suggestions that the U.S. and Russia had begun negotiations to end fighting without Ukraine playing a role. He even seemed to suggest that Ukraine was to blame for a war that began only after Russia invaded that country.

“Today I heard, ‘Well, we weren’t invited.’ Well, you’ve been there for three years,” Trump said of Ukraine’s leaders. “You should have never started it.”

In anticipation of questions about his administration’s efforts to slash federal spending, the president said he wrote down examples of government programs around the world which he then listed off at length. They included funding to promote voter turnout in India and social cohesion initiatives in Mali.

Asked about the White House’s arguing in a court filing that Musk wasn’t the head of Trump’s government efficiency efforts, Trump said: “You could call him an employee, you could call him a consultant, you could call him whatever you want. But he’s a patriot.”

Trump said he thinks “women and families, husbands, are very appreciative” of his executive order on IVF, which offers a possible solution when a woman has trouble getting pregnant. The procedure involves retrieving her eggs and combining them in a lab dish with a man’s sperm to create a fertilized embryo, which is then transferred into the woman’s uterus in an attempt to create a pregnancy. IVF is done in cycles, and more than one may be required.

Barbara Collura, president and CEO of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, said that what the White House put out “looks extremely promising.”

“The biggest barriers for people to building their families are the out-of-pocket costs, the lack of insurance coverage for this care,” she said.

Trump spoke to reporters hours before his first joint TV interview with Musk aired in prime time on Fox News Channel. The president acknowledged during it that “inflation is back,” but noted that he’d only been in office a few weeks and insisted “I had nothing to do” with prices that remain stubbornly high.

Trump mentioned during that same interview that Musk is “probably not that happy” with things like tax breaks for electric vehicles likely not being included in tax legislation now being discussed in Congress, but he said Musk didn’t seek special treatment for Tesla.

“I haven’t asked the president for anything, ever,” Musk added. Asked about potential conflicts of interest between Musk’s governmental efforts and his businesses and how they will be handled, Trump said, “He won’t be involved” and Musk said he’d recuse himself.

BREAKING: J6er Says He Was Booted from CPAC

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Jan. 6 provocateur Jake Lang said Wednesday that he was kicked out of the Conservative Political Action Conference, claiming that the decision was politically motivated.

“As I’m checking in to get our passes, they told me our credentials have been revoked,” Lang said during a Twitter/X livestream.

Lang claimed that the decision to keep him from CPAC is because he’s the “frontrunner” in Florida’s 2026 U.S. Senate race against Republican Sen. Ashley Moody. He said he was informed that the decision to ban him was made at the “highest levels” of CPAC.

Lang said he plans to sue over the matter.

Lang then said he’s Jewish, apparently responding to a question about whether he was booted from the conference for antisemitism.

“I am Jewish. My sister served in the IDF. I believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior—but I am a Jew. I love Israel,” he said.

CPAC did not immediately return an email seeking comment.

Lang was supported by some in the Jan. 6 community over the last four years, but had a contentious relationship with others.

Lang frequently sparked online controversy with his claims of political persecution. Other J6ers noted that his trial delays were at his own request, and that J6 footage showed him swinging a baseball bat at officers—making him one of the more violent protestors in the crowd (Lang claims that his actions were in defense of himself and other protestors).

He also reportedly had conflicts with cellmates.

Additionally, Lang raised eyebrows with his frequent jailhouse podcast appearances. At one point, he even announced from prison that he was creating a nationwide militia.

It’s still not clear how he constantly smuggled cell phones into his cell and had internet access in jails such as notorious as the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center—the home of numerous high-profiled inmates, including Sean “Diddy” Combs and alleged Trump assassin plotter Asif Merchant.

Responding to Lang’s CPAC drama, J6er William Pope and reporter Julie Kelly accused him of spreading lies.

“Jake Lang, up to his usual tricks,” Kelly said.

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) Singer and actress Cynthia Erivo was slated to play the one true Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, in the classic musical Jesus Christ Superstar during its three day run at the Hollywood Bowl in August.

The Wicked actress posted to her Instagram story about the controversial role.

“Just a little busy this summer. Can’t wait!” Erivo wrote.

The announcement sparked backlash online regarding the decision to cast a woman in the role of Jesus.

“Imagine doing this to any other religion,” one user wrote. The comment caused billionaire Elon Musk to repost and responded with an emoji with one eyebrow raised.

Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. slammed the decision and called it “blasphemy.”

“With all due respect, and humbly submitted, Cynthia Erivo is too BALD, BROWN, and BI to play Jesus,” he wrote. “Casting a woman as Jesus Christ is an intentional form of blasphemy that Hollywood would be fuming over if done to certain other religions.”

Some supporters of the casting tried to act like the backlash was due to Erivo’s race.

“It’s not even the color of her skin, because Jesus was arguably darker skinned. It’s the woman thing,” one user pointed out. “I’m not even Christian and I’m offended, and I absolutely loved her in Wicked. This is all about Hollywood sticking their thumb in the eyes of Christianity.”

Erivo previously played the role of Mary Magdalene in an all-female Jesus Christ Superstar Studio album in 2018.

The actress does not shy away controversy. As she promoted Wicked, Erivo tried to drag “queerness” and “racism” into the film.

“It’s a conversation about racism, but it’s also a conversation about anyone who’s been othered. It’s a conversation about queerness,” she said at the time.

(Maire Clayton, Headline USA) Former Vice President Kamala Harris signed with Creative Artists Agency Tuesday, according to The Hill.

“CAA will work closely with Harris on her post-White House initiatives, creating strategic opportunities that expand her platform in support of the issues she has championed throughout her decades-long career in public service,” the statement read.

Harris previously worked with the CAA when she was a California senator.

The agency added it would represent Harris “in all areas, focusing on speaking engagements and publishing.”

In the beginning of February, former President Joe Biden also signed with CAA. The agency also represents former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Social media users mocked the former vice president due to her frequent gaffes while speaking.

“Oh, God. Word salad will get paid to actually speak,” one user wrote.

Another user was surprised she was able to find representation.

“Impressive that she found someone to represent her,” an X user added. “Seeing as the whole world knows she’s incapable of saying anything of value.”

Harris was called out for her word salad over the weekend while she attempted to give a speech to the cast of A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical.

“When we think about these moments where we see things that are being taken, but also let’s see it, you know, nature abhors a vacuum,” the Democrat said in the now viral clip.

“We’re seeing a U-turn right now,” Harris added. “For those rights to be maintained which means we have to be vigilant. It’s just the nature of it.”

Harris was quickly made fun of on social media after her attempt to give the speech.

“You’d have to pay me a tremendous amount of money to go listen to this lady speak,” one user wrote.

Trump Labels 8 Latin American Cartels as ‘Foreign Terrorist Organizations’

(Headline USA) The Trump administration is formally designating eight Latin American crime organizations as “foreign terrorist organizations,” upping its pressure on cartels operating in the U.S. and on anyone aiding them.

The move, carrying out a Jan. 20 executive order by President Donald Trump, names Tren de Aragua in Venezuela, MS-13 in El Salvador and six groups based in Mexico. The designation will be published in Thursday’s edition of the Federal Register, according to a notice Wednesday.

Trump has made securing the U.S.-Mexico border among his top priorities, vowing to carry out mass deportations, sending active duty troops to the border and reaching deals with some countries to take in more migrants.

The “foreign terrorist organization” label deploys a terrorist designation normally reserved for groups like al-Qaida or the Islamic State group that use violence for political ends — not for money-focused crime rings such as the Latin American cartels.

The Trump administration argues that the international connections and operations of the groups — including drug trafficking, migrant smuggling and violent pushes to extend their territory — warrant the designation.

Cartels permeate Mexico’s economy, dealing not only in drug trafficking and migrant smuggling but in fighting for control of the multibillion-dollar avocado business.

Aid groups say some past U.S. designations of groups as foreign terrorist organizations have threatened overall food imports into countries, for example, by making shipping companies fearful that U.S. prosecutors may accuse them of directly or indirectly supporting the targeted groups.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Wednesday before the designations were published that “if that decree has to do with extraterritorial actions (in Mexico), those we do not accept.”

But she said Mexico was in agreement on the need to advance joint investigations.

“If they make this decree to investigate even more in the United States the money laundering and the criminal groups that operate in the United States, that carry out those drug sales, it’s very good,” Sheinbaum said. “What we do not accept is the violation of our sovereignty.”

Trump over the years has singled out two of the groups — MS-13 and Tren de Aragua — in political speeches and other appearances.

U.S. authorities say Tren de Aragua poses a threat in various U.S. cities. In his first term, Trump similarly pointed to the violent street gang MS-13 as a risk of immigration.

The six Mexico-based groups designated as terrorist groups include the Sinaloa cartel, Mexico’s oldest criminal group, which traffics drugs, weapons and people.

One of Sinaloa’s most lucrative businesses in recent years has been the production of fentanyl, blamed for tens of thousands of overdose deaths each year in the U.S. Sinaloa imports the precursor chemicals from China, produces the drug and smuggles it across the border.

The other cartels targeted by the U.S. are Jalisco New Generation, Gulf, Northeast, La Nueva Familia Michoacana and United.

‘Radical Transparency’: Trump Orders ‘Wasteful’ Federal Programs, Contracts Exposed

(Casey Harper, The Center Square) President Donald Trump sent a memo to all federal agency heads Tuesday directing them to release all details related to the cut grants, contracts and other federal spending deemed “wasteful.”

Trump sent the “radical transparency about wasteful spending” memo to federal agency heads, the latest in his and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk’s war on federal waste.

Musk has encountered opposition and lawsuits from federal workers and Democrats, so this order could beef up his efforts for transparency as he roots through federal records and archives and seeks more details about cut programs.

“The United States Government spends too much money on programs, contracts, and grants that do not promote the interests of the American people,” Trump’s order said. “For too long, taxpayers have subsidized ideological projects overseas and domestic organizations engaged in actions that undermine the national interest.”

The order instructs federal agencies to make public the details of canceled contracts, grants and other federal spending. The order does tell agencies to abide by federal laws and to do so as they “deem appropriate to promote the policies of my Administration.”

Trump’s executive order Tuesday comes the same day that DOGE touted cutting $55 billion in federal spending. On top of that, a federal judge Tuesday ruled against a Democrat-led effort to get a temporary restraining order against Musk as he looks for more cuts.

That ruling, though, suggested Musk’s authority could be questioned on legal grounds, suggesting more legal battles for Musk and Trump down the road.

“The American people have seen their tax dollars used to fund the passion projects of unelected bureaucrats rather than to advance the national interest,” Trump’s order said. “The American people have a right to see how the Federal Government has wasted their hard-earned wages.”

(Dan McCaleb, The Center Square) President Donald Trump’s approval rating climbed to 55%, according to new polling from Napolitan News Service.

The survey of 3,000 registered voters was conducted online by pollster Scott Rasmussen Feb. 10-14. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 1.8.

“While it’s always tempting to look at the activity of a particular week to explain shifts in presidential approval, the larger story here is one of stability,” Rasmussen said. “Napolitan News has tracked the president’s approval every week since his victory last November. In every week but one, Trump’s approval has stayed within two points of 53%. The sole exception was his inauguration week bounce,” when it rose to 57%.

Rasmussen noted that polling has shown that Trump has won over many independent voters, those who don’t as either Democrat or Republican.

Trump has done so, Rasmussen said, “by making it easy for swing voters to know who they should root against. Trump 2.0 has focused a lot of attention on battling illegal immigration in a nation where more than 80% believe illegal immigration is bad for America.”

Also, Rasmussen notes that most Americans support efforts to reduce the size of the federal government, which Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency has been working on.

“The DOGE effort has been framed as an attack on the federal bureaucracy in a nation where 77% of voters say the federal government doesn’t pay enough attention to voters,” he said.
