NYPD Clarifies: No ‘Credible Threats’ on New Year’s Eve Bash

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) New York City officials declared Friday that there are no “specific credible threats” ahead of the city’s popular New Year’s Eve party.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, however, cautioned that law enforcement will be on high alert and fully deployed during the Times Square ball drop event.

“We will be out here with our K-9s, on horseback, our helicopters, our boats,” Adams said during a Friday press conference. “The full complement of our public safety apparatus will be on display.”

Individuals planning to attend the event will be prohibited from carrying backpacks, duffel bags, and packages. Alcohol is also banned, the mayor said.

“The entire team over at intel, they are monitoring the usual chatter and as Chief [Jeff Maddrey] said, there are no specific threats to the city,” Adams declared.

“But as we saw last year, after having no specific threats we get a threat,” he added, referring to the Islamist machete attack against an officer on his first day on the job.

NYPD Chief Maddrey reiterated the city’s readiness for the New Year’s Eve celebrations during the press conference.

“Our special operations, our counterterrorism units, our canine units will be deployed all throughout Times Square—throughout the city,” he said. “There will be a large contingency of officers you won’t see as well, many plainclothes ensuring the safety of our city.”

Earlier this week, Adams said that pro-Palestinian hecklers might attempt to disrupt the holiday celebrations in Times Square.

“We’re sure there’s gonna be some type of attempt this year,” he said on Dec. 27 press conference. “Everyone looks for events like this if they want to do bad things, and the police department is on top of it.”

His comments followed violent clashes between pro-Palestinian and NYPD officers during the family-friendly Christmas tree lighting event at the Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan, resulting in the arrest of at least six individuals.

Joe Biden Takes 418th Vacation

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On Dec. 27, 2023, Joe Biden took another vacation day to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands for New Year, marking it his 418th since he stepped into the Oval Office.

The Republican National Committee’s Vacation Tracker reported the same day that Biden already spent 39% of his presidency on vacation, which is 353 days, the Daily Fetched reported.

Biden flew to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands with several family members, according to Breitbart. However, the White House refused to say how many members would join him and his wife, Jill.

The corrupt family will spend one week far away from Americans and their struggles at a beachfront home that is owned by Democrat donors before returning to Washington D.C. on Jan. 2, 2024.

“The Bidens have stayed there in the past as guests, but the White House declined to say whether they will pay their own way this time,” the New York Times reported.

Breitbart also wrote that, in August 2022, Biden spent a record 150 days of his presidency on vacation at his home in Delaware in the 18 months since he stepped into the Oval Office.

The news source also wrote that in 2021, he was ensconced at Camp David as the world watched Kabul, Afghanistan, fall to the Taliban amid the mass evacuations.

Unlike Biden, Donald Trump spent only 132 days away from the White House at his own properties, either at Mar-a-Lago in the winter or Bedminster, N.J., throughout his entire four years of presidency.

The White House staffers tried to defend Biden’s constant vacations by saying that his not being in the White House doesn’t mean that he isn’t working.

“One would hope that President Biden is working when he is on ‘vacation’ in Delaware, [but] the unwillingness of the White House to disclose his official visitors at Delaware suggests that there is something to hide — including that Biden is completely checked out from his job when away from the White House,” Tom Fitton, president of conservative transparency group Judicial Watch, said.

9-Yr-Old Boy Roasts Nikki Haley: ‘You’re the New John Kerry’

(Headline USA) GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley was roasted during a campaign stop in New Hampshire Thursday by a 9-year-old boy who called her the “new John Kerry” due to her politically calculated waffling over former President Donald Trump, the Daily Mail reported.

While speaking to voters in North Conway, New Hampshire, Haley fielded a question from the young boy, who identified himself as “Adam.”

“Chris Christie thinks you’re a flip-flopper on the Donald Trump issue—and, honestly, I agree with him,” the boy told Haley. “You’re basically the new John Kerry … if you remember Kerry from 2004.”

As the crowd laughed, the boy added, “How can you change your opinion like that in just eight years, and will you pardon Donald Trump?”

Both Haley and Christie were early supporters of Trump and were given roles in his administration: Christie as the head of his transition team, and Haley as his ambassador to the United Nation.

However, both of the former governors have since soured on the GOP frontrunner and have become vocal critics, in addition to primary rivals.

Haley appeared shocked by the boy’s precocious question but—in true Southern form—claimed she was “very proud” of him for asking it.

“The first thing I will tell you is, is politics is about distraction,” she replied.

“I told you that I agreed with a lot of his policies,” she continued. “But do I think he’s the right president to go forward? No. We can’t handle the chaos anymore.”

She also took issue with the young boy’s characterization of her, claiming she is “no John Kerry” and insisting that she has not flip-flopped on her support of the former president.

“What’s in the best interest of the country is not to have an 80-year-old man sitting in jail that continues to divide our country,” she said.

Haley went on to address Christie directly saying, “He’s obsessed with Trump. He sleeps, eats and breathes it, every day. I’m thinking bigger than that. If we do that, we’re no different than Trump.”

The awkward campaign moment came shortly after Haley fumbled another question from a New Hampshire voter about the Civil War.

The voter asked her what caused the Civil War, to which she replied that it was “about the freedoms of every individual.”

During the same campaign stop as the “John Kerry” question, Haley walked back her response, saying “Of course the Civil War was about slavery.”

With Gold at All-Time Highs, Will Silver Finally Take Off?

By Mike Gleason

On this final week of trading for 2023, gold is set to put in its highest ever annual close.

The gold price has been capped at around the $2,100 level since trading just shy of it in May. Whenever prices threaten to break out, institutional sell orders on futures exchanges come rolling in. So, it comes as no surprise that the gold market ends the year right near that key resistance level.

The big question is whether the paper gold sellers will be able to hold the line in the New Year.

Contrarians are eyeing opportunities in palladium, platinum, as well as silver in 2024. Each of these white metals face chronic supply deficits as mines struggle to grow or even maintain production.

(Podcast Below)

The world’s number one producer of silver is Mexico. However, mining output there is falling precipitously. Silver production is down nearly 25% over the past two years.

Meanwhile, average all-in sustaining costs of production for silver miners is approaching $25 per ounce. They have little incentive to invest in new development in the absence of higher prices. They may instead prefer to hunker down and wait for market conditions to improve. That means silver supplies could be crimped in the coming year.

Platinum and palladium also face a precarious supply outlook.

The primary source of platinum group metals is South Africa. The country is turning into a basket case under a corrupt, socialist regime. South Africa’s electricity infrastructure is falling, and investors are bailing.

Consequently, the mining industry there is under duress. Platinum and palladium are each expected to post huge supply deficits in 2024.

As for gold, it will likely take its cues from interest rates and monetary policy. In recent weeks, expectations have risen for rate cuts in 2024. If the Fed follows through, that should pressure the U.S. dollar lower.

Of course, 2024 is a presidential election year. And the stakes could be even higher for America’s constitutional republic than they were in 2020.

Amid polling that shows President Joe Biden in poor shape, Democrat activists are using state legislatures and courts to try to disenfranchise Republican voters — supporters of Donald Trump in particular.

Another perceived effort to steal the election could ignite a Civil War. Even if it doesn’t come to that, the level of partisan acrimony in Washington will likely bring more budget brinkmanship and more dysfunction.

And regardless of who wins the election, the national debt will continue to grow unabated. As a consequence, the currency supply will have to keep growing as well. In other words, inflation pressures will remain in place and could accelerate.

All in all, some favorable forces appear to be lining up for metals in 2024.

Dave Chappelle Reveals Plan to Open Comedy Clubs

(Headline USA) Comedian Dave Chappelle plans to open his own comedy clubs across the country to promote “free thought” and fight back against woke culture, according to a recent profile in the Wall Street Journal.

The popular stand-up comedian has rankled the Left for the past several years by frequently cracking jokes about the more absurd parts of its agenda, such as transgenderism.

His 2021 Netflix special The Closer, for example, led to a protest by Netflix employees who demanded the streaming service remove it.

Now Chappelle hopes to bring comedy to smaller audiences in clubs of his own. He already has plans to open a club in his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio; and he is moving to open another in Washington, D.C., the Journal reported.

Chappelle has held three stand-up shows for audiences in his Yellow Springs club. He reportedly told the crowd it was one of his proudest achievements and that he hoped it would become a haven for free thinkers and artists.

“It’s just freedom,” said Brent Martin, a realtor from Mississippi, who traveled to see Chappelle in Memphis, Tenn., last year. “I can laugh at what he says, or I can dismiss it, or I can be offended. But that’s fine, because the next thing he says will probably be funny.”

Chappelle has defended wading into cultural hot topics, telling a crowd in Washington, D.C. last year, “The more you say I can’t say something, the more urgent it is for me to say it.”

He said he hopes his comedy clubs will not just attract crowds who appreciate having their views challenged, but comedians who are also willing to take on the woke mob.

“If we build this thing, I will tell you, all the greats will come,” Chappelle said last year. “They’re very excited about it.”

CBS Investigative Journalist Warns 2024 Is Ripe for High Impact ‘Black Swan’ Event

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A senior investigative journalist issued a grave warning ahead of 2024, specifically predicting a “national security event with high impact.”

CBS News Senior Investigative Correspondent Catherine Herridge made the remarks during a Dec. 24 roundtable on Face the Nation, where she was asked about her “big predictions” for the upcoming year.

“Mine’s a little dark. I feel a lot of concern that 2024 may be the year of the ‘Black Swan Event.’ This is a national security event with high impact that’s very hard to predict,” she told host Margaret Brennan.

“There are number of concerns I have that factor into that. Not only this sort of enduring heightened threat level that we’re facing,” she stated.

Herridge also referenced the ongoing Israeli–Hamas and Russian–Ukrainian conflicts before drawing attention to intern turmoil within the U.S.

“We’re so divided in this country in ways that we haven’t seen before and I think that just creates fertile ground for our adversaries, like North Korea, China and Iran. And that’s what concerns me most,” she continued.

Brennan echoed Herridge’s predictions, acknowledging: “A lot of people [agree] with that concern, Catherine, at least in this town.”

Political analysts and commentators further echoed Herridge’s concerns, particularly emphasing the nation’s vulnerability under the tenure of President Joe Biden.

Mark Halperin, a political analyst, declared in a Dec. 28 Newsmax interview his conversations with members of the intelligence community. Halperin said that these experts have shared “a deep concern about sleeper cells about the prospect of terrorists coming over the unprotected southern border.”

Expressing hope that Herridge’s prediction are wrong, he said that such an event “would shake up our politics at a time when people are looking at questioning Joe Biden’s capacity to do this job.”

Similarly, podcast host Tucker Carlson issued last month a dire forecast for the upcoming year, suggesting that “something bad is about to happen.”

In a Nov. 21 seminar, Carlson painted a harrowing picture of 2024. “I flew out here across the country this morning and spent five hours texting people … and I gotta tell you, every single person I texted, with the exception of my wife — who’s not on the internet at all — was angry and paranoid,” he said.

“Your gut is the one thing that doesn’t lie to you. Your gut only has your interest in mind. It is not trying to sell you a product, or convince you to vote for it,” he continued.

Slave COVID-19 Mask Mandates Return to American Hospitals

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Hospitals all around the United States started reimplementing mask mandates to control the population once again while pretending that the reason for the mandates was an uptick in COVID-19 and other respiratory infections.

Among those hospitals were the NYC Health + Hospitals — officially the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation that operates public hospitals and clinics in New York City — announced that it will reimplement mask mandates at its hospitals, the Epoch Times reported.

“Due to an uptick in respiratory illnesses like COVID-19, flu & RSV in our communities & our hospital, we must return to mandatory masking. Please wear a mask when you visit us!” the hospital wrote in a now-deleted Twitter post.

In another post, the hospital wrote that “mandatory masking” was reinstated at its Jacobi facility in the Bronx because of “the prevalence of COVID-19 in our communities.”

UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., also informed the public that it would force its staff to wear face masks for a month, starting on Jan. 2, 2023. However, patients and visitors won’t be mandated to wear face coverings.

The Mass General Brigham health system, which is also located in the state of Massachusetts, also said that mask mandates will be reinstated.

On Dec. 28, 2023, TidalHealth, a Delaware clinic, announced that all hospital visitors in patients’ rooms will be forced to wear face masks as well, saying that the rule was initiated in “an effort to protect the most vulnerable of our population from close contact with persons that may be contagious but not yet have symptoms.”

Hospitals in Pittsburgh and Boston also reimplemented mask mandates.

However, it is not only hospitals from the Northeastern states that started implementing COVID-19 mask mandates. In the state of Washington, Kaiser Permanente told the local media that it will force its employees who work in person with patients to wear face masks while adding that patients and visitors won’t be required to wear them.

Unsurprisingly, the other place on the Western coast that was very enthusiastic about implementing the mask mandates was the state of California, with multiple counties across the Bay Area region already imposing a mask mandate for staff. This practice was started in November 2023 and reportedly will run until the end of spring 2024 because of a predicted rise in respiratory illnesses.

The Midwest was also affected by the coronavirus-obsessed leftists. Memorial Hospital and Elkhart General, both of which are located in South Bend, Ind., reimplemented masking requirements for visitors, patients and staff, officials at Beacon Health System said.

Other hospitals in Illinois and Wisconsin also reimplemented mask mandates to various degrees.

CNN Reveals that Top States Googling ‘Migrants’ Are All Blue

(Headline USA) Even Democratic voters are becoming increasingly concerned about illegal immigration into the U.S., according to CNN.

A network analysis of Google searches for the term “migrants” found that the majority of searches were coming from solid-blue sanctuary states, with Illinois being the top state and New York the second.

“You might be thinking, OK, this is just Republican voters who are feeling this way, but I want you to take a look here because I think this is rather interesting,” said CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten on Wednesday.

“The most Google searches for migrants by state … they are all blue states,” he continued. “Illinois is one. New York is two. Massachusetts is three. New Jersey is four. Colorado is five.”

Enten noted that the economy was still voters’ top priority heading into 2024, but that immigration had closed the ranks to become a close second.

Back in August, just 11% of voters said the border crisis was a top concern. Now, 19% of voters agree that it’s a top issue, he said.

CNN also admitted that a growing number of immigrant voters are rating border security as a top concern. Their top issue is the economy, Enten said, but “immigration/border … is No. 2 at 14%.”

The news comes as a growing number of Democratic leaders demand action from the Biden administration in regards to the migrant crisis.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, for example, claimed the federal government needs to provide additional aid to his city “so that we can actually sustain this mission” of helping migrants who arrive in Chicago.

“Without significant federal support, this is not sustainable,” Johnson said.

“You know, I had a delegation to actually go to the border and see firsthand the challenges that our bordering states and our bordering cities are experiencing right now,” he continued. “And what I have called for repeatedly is, again, a coordinated approach between state and local municipalities so that we can address this crisis.”

‘White Fragility’ Guru Discredits Black Man While Speaking for ‘Vast Majority’

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) White Fragility grifter Robin DiAngelo, a white woman, claimed that black Columbia University linguist John McWhorter “doesn’t speak for the black community” after he questioned her woke theories.

‘His record is very very conservative I would put him with Ben Carson and Clarence Thomas and other folks like that,’ she said during a talk on the “Pan-African Experience,” insinuating that the two highly accomplished black men, both of whom rose up from poverty in the black community, likewise had no claim to blackness.

DiAngelo then took it upon herself to whitesplain to black interviewer Sochima Iroh, who is black, what black people actually felt, the Daily Mail reported.

“I do not believe he speaks for the vast majority of black people,” she claimed.

McWhorter, a regular New York Times contributor and author of books including Woke Racism: How a New Religion Has Betrayed Black America, describes himself as a “cranky liberal Democrat‘ who simply abhors what he calls the excesses of wokeness.”

McWhorter responded with a tweet calling into question the academic rigor of DiAngelo’s research.

“I’m ‘very conservative’ like Clarence Thomas and Ben Carson?” he said. “She has clearly read barely a word of my work.”

He then took aim at DiAngelo’s White Fragility, which has been embraced by the woke Left as one of the seminal texts of contemporary critical race theory.

“At least when I slammed her book I had read every word, and I maintain that White Fragility is literally the worst book ever written,” McWhorter said. “It’s so bad it’s an achievement.”

DAngelo defines white fragility as “a state in which even a minimum amount of racial stress becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive moves.”

Her work argues that it is essential for black people to segregate themselves away from whites in order to form closed communities.

“People of color need to get away from white people and have some community with each other,” DiAngelo previously said during a March 2023 seminar titled “Racial Justice: The Next Frontier.”

The next frontier for racial justice, she claimed, would be to exclude people who cannot engage in antiracist conversations “with some nuance and some skill” from the workforce.

“In 2023, we have to see the ability to engage in these conversations with some nuance and some skill as a basic qualification and if you can’t do that, you’re just simply not qualified in today’s workplace,” DiAngelo said.

GOP Sen. Introduces Bill to Punish Ballot-Banning Anti-Trump Conspirators

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said he plans to introduce legislation as soon as the next session begins to withhold funding from states that have arbitrarily redefined “insurrection” to remove former President Donald Trump from the ballot.

Both the Colorado Supreme Court and Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows have threatened to exclude Trump from the GOP primary ballot, eliciting bipartisan backlash for their overtly partisan move, Axios reported.

“This is an egregious abuse of power,” the centrist Tillis tweeted Thursday night following Bellows’s decree.

All seven of the Colorado high court’s justices were appointed by Democrat governors. Bellows, a former activist leader with the far-left American Civil Liberties Union, was appointed by the state legislature rather than voted into office.

Tillis said the proposed bill would “stop these partisan officials and ensure any constitutional challenge is only decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.”

Tillis’s bill would amend the 2002 Help America Vote Act by withholding federal election funding from those states “misusing the Fourteenth Amendment for political purposes.”

The 14th Amendment, which contains the rarely used Section 3 “insurrection clause” also established birthright citizenship and extended “due process” rights to the states,

Those sections of the 1868 amendment have lengthy history of being abused by the Left to support illegal immigration, remove prayer from schools and bolster the LGBT agenda.

In any case, the extralegal maneuvering by the Left is so egregious that even Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, an outspoken NeverTrump Republican, released a statement backing the GOP frontrunner’s right to appear on the Maine primary ballot.

“Maine voters should decide who wins the election—not a Secretary of State chosen by the Legislature,” Collins noted.

The decision, according to Collins, was particularly problematic because it “would deny thousands of Mainers the opportunity to vote for the candidate of their choice.”

For that reason, she suggested, “it should be overturned.”

Meanwhile, some Democrats have attempted to defend the strategy, which is being spearheaded by the George Soros-funded leftist lawfare group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

“The text of the 14th Amendment is crystal clear: anyone who participates in insurrection is permanently barred from public office,” Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J., said.

“Donald Trump incited a violent riot to overthrow American democracy,” Pascrell added. “Of course he should be banned from the presidency forever.”

The mostly peaceful Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol was dispersed within roughly four hours, despite efforts by U.S. Capitol Police, D.C. Metro police and others to provoke the demonstrators while exercising their First Amendment freedoms to assemble and petition the government.

Trump has never been criminally indicted or convicted of insurrection, despite leftist prosecutors having filed 91 other felony counts against him. He was acquitted by the U.S. Senate after partisan House Democrats impeached him for his role in Jan. 6.
