AOC Uses Dogwhistle Attack to Push Stochastic Terrorist Threat against Clarence Thomas

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In a Monday CNN appearance, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y., baselessly smeared Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife as part of a leftist plot to undermine the court’s authority and potentially set the stage for civil unrest, the Blaze reported.

The Supreme Court recently decided to hear former President Donald Trump‘s appeal of a recent Colorado Supreme Court’s decision that he was disqualified constitutionally from holding public office.

Fearing that the high court’s intervention could unravel the George Soros-funded lawfare attack and render the partisan effort moot, AOC argued to a receptive Anderson Cooper that Thomas should recuse himself from the case due to a tenuous link to the Save America Rally that preceded the Jan. 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol.

“I think it’s very clear Clarence Thomas, and—rather, his wife, Ginni, participated in the events of Jan. 6,” Ocasio–Cortez claimed.

Because of that participation, she said, Thomas’s participation in the case could cause a “scandal,” she added.

AOC was joined by seven other House Democrats, who penned a letter to Thomas last week complaining about his wife’s involvement with the Save America Rally.

“There is no evidence that her views about the 2020 election have softened, and it is unreasonable to conclude your wife’s fervent views do not bleed over to and affect your opinions, and affect your ability to be impartial in a case about Mr. Trump’s efforts to prevent the orderly transition of power,” they complained.

House Democrats’ partisan Jan. 6 Commission previously tried to implicate Ginni Thomas on the basis of text messages that she sent to then-chief-of-staff Mark Meadows urging Trump to challenge the highly disputed election outcome.

However, there is no evidence to support AOC’s defamatory claim that the justice’s wife participated in anything illicit, nor that her political activism would meet the threshold for her husband’s recusal.

Underscoring this point is a parallel situation involving Christopher Cooper, a federal D.C. judge who presided over the trial of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann.

Despite both Cooper and his wife, lawyer Amy Jeffress, having deep ties to the Democrat political machine, he refused to recuse himself from the case brought by special counsel John Durham.

Jeffress—a former top deputy to Obama Attorney General Eric Holder—had previously represented Lisa Page, one of the key players in the Russia-gate scandal that Durham was investigating.

Federal judges Tanya Chutkan and Beryll Howell have likewise refused to recuse themselves from politically charged cases involving Trump and his supporters, despite having made overtly negative and derogatory statements about the former president that cast aspersions on their impartial judgment.

As has been the case with several recent Democrat talking points, the subtext of Ocasio–Cortez’s CNN message appeared to be bent on delegitimizing the high court and mobilizing the same violent, socialist rioters who previously threatened the safety of justices after a leaked court decision on the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

“And now what is likely going before the Supreme Court is a judgment as to whether an event that his wife participated in, that his wife has been investigated by, in the Jan. 6 committee in, qualifies as an insurrection,” Ocasio–Cortez claimed, calling the case a hearing that could “directly implicate his wife.”

Ironically, AOC’s own dogwhistle promotion of stochastic terrorism could have far-ranging implications, including future allegations that she was responsible for inciting an insurrection if leftist radicals were to act on it.

Pro-Marxist domestic terrorism groups linked to AOC, such as the Democratic Socialists of America, have had little trouble getting the message in the past.

In August 2022, then-24-year-old transgender terrorist Nicholas Roske nearly succeeded in and assassination attempt on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh following waves of protests at the private homes of conservative justices that corrupt Justice Department refused to prosecute.

Either way, her efforts to incite violent riots and threats against the Thomases seem to shrug off her own past complaints of being made a target.

Indeed, AOC previously took a lead role in helping bring the term “stochastic terrorism” into the common vernacular by going public with her sob stories.

Hunter Biden PR Stunt Throws Contempt Hearing into Chaos

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Hunter Biden threw Wednesday morning’s much-anticipated congressional contempt hearings into chaos by attending in person—drawing the ire of Republicans, who were left open to criticism by not allowing Biden to testify.

There were two hearings Wednesday morning on holding Hunter in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena last month—one in the House Judiciary Committee and one in the House Oversight Committee.

The Oversight Committee’s hearing began with Republicans criticizing Hunter for ducking their subpoenas, only to have the President’s son appear in front of them, seemingly willing to testify immediately.

Of course, Hunter’s appearance was disingenuous. The House Oversight Committee’s subpoena ordered him to be deposed behind closed doors to avoid a public spectacle—which is what happened anyway.

Nevertheless, Republicans were left fumbling for words when a Democrat on the committee proposed a vote to have Hunter testify right then and there. Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., declined to hold the vote, leaving them open to criticism from Democrats.

“It just so happens the witness is here. If the committee wants to hear from the witness and the chairman gave him that option, then the only folks here who don’t want to hear the witness with the American people watching are my friends on the other side of the aisle,” said Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla.

“I’ll make a motion. Let’s take a vote: Who wants to hear from Hunter right now, today? Anyone?” he asked, prompting Democrats to raise their hands and Republicans to sit there looking constipated.

“I’m a visual learner, and the visual is clear: No one over there wants to hear from the witness.”

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., looked particularly foolish when she accused Hunter of having “no balls to come up here” when Republicans just voted against allowing him to testify.

Mace and other feminine Republicans were left to resort to left-wing talking points—accusing Hunter of “white privilege” and misogyny.

Hunter left when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., began to speak.

Greene lamely said Hunter was “terrified of strong Republican women.”

Republicans such as former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen admitted that Hunter completely outfoxed the GOP lawmakers when it came to political optics.

“Hahahahaha- Hunter wins! That was GREAT. Congress is the most [feckless] arm of government unless you are poor. They are a straight institution of bullies who only get over when picking on the weak. Anyone with the ability to fight back can make them all look stupid—even an unemployed addict,” he said.

Neither the Judiciary nor the Oversight committee had voted on their contempt resolutions before the publication of this article.

Jan. 6 Journalist Given Probation for Entering Capitol

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Justice Department’s prosecution of Jan. 6 documentarian Stephen Horn was still a flagrant attack on the free press, but at least Horn avoided prison.

A federal judge sentenced Horn on Wednesday to 12 months probation and ordered him to pay a $2,000 fine and serve 90 hours community service. Horn was found guilty last September of four misdemeanors stemming from his presence at the Capitol Hill uprising.

The DOJ sought to imprison Horn for 10 months—more than the six-month sentence they sought for Ray Epps, who they admitted engaged in “felonious activity” in stoking the riot that day. But the presiding judge exhibited restraint.

“Judge Kelly recognized the unique factors in my case,” Horn said following the sentencing. “The sentence is lenient for a J6 trial verdict.”

Horn was referencing the fact that by all accounts, he was engaging in purely journalistic activities on Jan. 6. The FBI received a tip from someone that identified Horn as a journalist, and charging documents describe him as acting entirely peacefully.

Headline USA understands there are more than 20 other reporters who, like Horn, entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, but aren’t facing charges. Headline USA reviewed some of their names, but is withholding them so they won’t be targeted, too.

However, the DOJ argued last Wednesday in a sentencing memo that Horn was little different than protestors who committed violence on Jan. 6.

According to the DOJ, him chanting “USA! USA!” with other protestors disqualified him from being considered a journalist—ignoring the fact that undercover officers also chanted “USA!,” along with urging other protestors to “Go! Go! Go!” and to “Keep going! Keep going!” as they entered the Capitol building.

Prior to his jury trial and conviction last September, Horn refused a deal offered by the U.S. government to receive probation in exchange for his guilty plea.

“They wanted me to admit I was there ‘protesting, picketing or demonstrating.’ I was like, ‘Well I can’t really do that because I wasn’t protesting, I wasn’t picketing and I wasn’t parading,’” he told Headline USA in June.

“Obviously, I can’t sign a document saying I did these things when I didn’t.”

This Isn’t Fine! Money Metals Midweek Memo Podcast

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals Exchange) Like many, I once owned a Plymouth Neon. It seemed perfectly fine – looked good, sounded good, and got me from point A to B. But beneath its exterior, it had a critical flaw: a non-functional radiator fan.

This problem, while not apparent in everyday use, became glaringly obvious under specific conditions, such as in a traffic jam. This experience with my Neon provides a fitting metaphor for the current state of the US economy – seemingly fine on the surface but harboring deeper, unseen issues.

The Deceptive Surface of the US Economy

On paper, our economy might look healthy. GDP growth, job numbers, and stock market performance paint a picture of stability and progress. But, like my old Neon, the economy has its hidden flaws. High interest rates and massive debt are just the tip of the iceberg. There’s a gap between what appears to be and what actually is – a disparity that suggests we might be sitting on a ticking economic time bomb.

Scrutinizing the Job Numbers and Economic Reports

Let’s delve deeper into the job numbers and economic reports that often make headlines. Initially, these reports can seem overwhelmingly positive, but a closer look, particularly at the revised figures that follow, often tells a different story. For instance, while the job market appears to be thriving based on the initial data, subsequent revisions usually paint a less optimistic picture. This pattern of initial enthusiasm followed by downward revisions raises questions about the true health of our labor market.

Rising Consumer Debt: A Red Flag

Another concern is the ballooning consumer debt. While increasing consumer spending might seem like a sign of economic confidence, the reality is that much of this spending is fueled by credit. With credit card debts soaring, it’s clear that Americans are under significant financial pressure, further underscoring the hidden struggles within our economy.

The Banking Crisis and Federal Reserve’s Role

Recall the recent banking crisis and the Federal Reserve’s response – a bailout program that remains heavily utilized. This reliance on a bailout program, months after the crisis, indicates that all is not well in our banking sector. Banks continue to borrow at an alarming rate, hinting at deeper, unresolved issues in our financial system.

Preparing for Future Economic Challenges

In light of these observations, it’s prudent to prepare for potential economic challenges. One way to do this is by considering precious metals for your investment portfolio. History has shown that assets like gold and silver can offer protection in turbulent economic times. With the current economic indicators and the Federal Reserve’s policies, diversifying into precious metals could be a wise move.

Conclusion

As I wrap up this edition of the Money Metals Midweek Memo, I encourage you to stay informed and consider all angles when evaluating the health of our economy. For more information and insights, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected], or visit moneymetals.com.

Biden Admin Pulls Plan to Remove William Penn Statue After Backlash

(Headline USA) The Biden administration canceled its plan to remove a statue of William Penn from a Philadelphia park this week after facing backlash from even Pennsylvania Democrats.

The National Park Service revealed over the weekend that it would remove the statue of Penn, the founder of the state of Pennsylvania, in order to make Philadelphia’s Welcome Park more “welcoming, accurate, and inclusive.”

The new design, being pushed by woke Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, would have reportedly included additional information about Native Americans that lived in the area before it was colonized.

However, on Monday the NPS announced the plan “was released prematurely and had not been subject to a complete internal agency review. No changes to the William Penn statue are planned,” the agency said in a press release.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro took credit for the Biden administration’s reversal, admitting that he was one of several Democrats who urged the NPS not to remove Penn’s statue.

“My team has been in contact with the Biden Administration throughout the day to correct this decision,” he said. “I’m pleased Welcome Park will remain the rightful home of this William Penn statue.”

Republicans also blasted the Biden administration. Pennsylvania’s top Republican state House member, Rep. Bryan Cutler, accused the NPS of trying to “cancel” William Penn, calling the proposed removal “another sad example of the left in this country scraping the bottom of the barrel of wokeism to advance an extreme ideology and a nonsensical view of history.”

The NPS did confirm its plans to make changes to Welcome Park eventually, and did not rule out removing Penn’s statue at some point in the future.

“The National Park Service (NPS) remains committed to rehabilitating Welcome Park as the nation prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026,” the agency said. “Upon completion of all the necessary internal reviews, the park looks forward to engaging in a robust public process to consider options for refurbishing the park in the coming years.”

Prosecution Booted from C’Ville Torch March Case Due to Ties w/ Black Lives Matter

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The George Soros-backed district attorney who began charging the infamous 2017 Charlottesville torch marchers last year has been ordered to recuse his entire office over its ties to Black Lives Matter and other counter-protestors.

Judge H. Thomas Padrick Jr. reportedly said that the entire Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office has an “appearance” of conflict of interest, and therefore can’t prosecute its case against torch marcher Jacob Joseph Dix.

According to The Daily Progress, the main prosecutor of the torch marchers, W. Lawton Tufts, was found to have a relationship with groups such as Black Lives Matter and Showing Up for Racial Justice. Tufts reportedly has offered to research legal issues for people and groups that opposed Unite the Right.

Tufts reportedly took the stand Monday, arguing that he wasn’t a prosecutor in 2017. He also bristled at the notion that his case is politically motivated.

“I’m not prosecuting an idea,” Tufts testified, accordin got The Daily Progress. “They carried a torch, they surrounded a group of people, and they wouldn’t let them out.”

Charlottesville D.A Jim Hingeley, who made it a campaign promise to prosecute torch-carriers when he was running for office, reportedly told the judge that he wants his office to stay on the case.

When the judge asked him why he was prosecuting the torch-marchers six years after the fact, Hingeley reportedly answered: “Many things … The investigation had to be reinitiated.”

After the judge’s ruling, Tufts reportedly refused to shake the hand of defense attorney Peter Frazier, who successfully motioned for the recusal.

Legal pundits also weighed in on the landmark ruling.

“It’s pretty unusual that a whole prosecutor’s office would be recused,” University of Richmond law professor Carl Tobias told The Daily Progress. “I think that’s pretty rare.”

The judge’s order reportedly only applied to the Dix case, but could be applied to the other defendants.

Of the handful of torch-marchers to be charged by Hingeley’s office, four of them have been convicted and two sentenced to six-month jail stints. At least four other defendants could have trials this year.

The Charlottesville rally turned deadly the day after the torch march, when a 20-year-old Ohio man rammed his vehicle into a group of counterprotesters and killed a local activist. The driver, James Alex Fields Jr., was convicted of murder and given life imprisonment.

The law being used to pursue the peaceful protestors from the night before was enacted by the state in 2002 in response to Ku Klux Klan cross-burnings.

It was challenged all the way to the Supreme Court, which ultimately found the law constitutional in a 6-3 vote.

Individuals convicted under the law face one to five years imprisonment.

Bribery Menendez Accuses DOJ of Political ‘Persecution’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA)  Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., decried on Tuesday what he described as political “persecution” by the DOJ, citing scathing criminal charges stemming from allegations of he served as a foreign agent while chairing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Menendez, who previously suggested that former President Donald Trump might have been “compromised” by the Russian government, has now accused the DOJ of deliberately undermining his political career, as reported by the New York Post.

“The United States Attorney’s Office has engaged not in a prosecution, but a persecution. They seek a victory, but not justice,” Menendez stated, referencing the most recent federal indictment. This indictment accuses him of unlawfully assisting a Qatar company linked to the Qatari royal family.

He further claimed, “By filing three indictments — one in late September, a second one a few weeks later in mid-October and a third one just last week in early January — it allows the government to keep the sensational story in the press, it poisons the jury pool and it seeks to convict me in the court of public opinion.”

Menendez’s fall from grace began when federal prosecutors alleged in September 2023 that he and his wife, Nadine Menendez, accepted bribes for political favors. A raid on Menendez’s residence uncovered cash, gold bars and an infamous Mercedes Benz luxury vehicle—all of which prosecutors claimed were obtained through the corruption scheme.

A month later, he faced charges of acting as an agent of the Egyptian government, allegedly advocating favorable policies for the North African country.

A newly announced indictment on Jan. 2 accused Menendez of aiding real estate developer Fred Daibes in dealings with a Qatari royal member to secure a deal, according to the NY Post.

“There is no evidence of the giving or receiving of cash and gold bars. In fact, there has been and will be a trial, a full explanation of what is the truth about those issues,” Menendez claimed, contradicting evidence released by prosecutors.

He continued, “Almost everyone, including my friends in the press who have reported on it, haven’t read the indictment. They’ve only taken the government’s sensational narrative of what those accusations are as truth.”

Millionaire John Kerry Lavishes $4.3M of Taxpayer Funds to Pay Aides

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, whose net worth reportedly stands at $250 million, wasted approximately $4.3 million in taxpayer funds to pay his climate office within the Biden administration, according to newly revealed documents.

The multi-million-dollar bill surfaced through documents released on Monday via a Freedom of Information Act request made by the Boston Herald. Strikingly, the office declined to disclose the identities of Kerry’s top officials despite handling U.S. policy abroad.

The Boston Herald reported that the State Department-based office omitted the names of eight top aides who earn $186,680 annually, surpassing the yearly earnings of U.S. lawmakers.

Instead, Kerry released the names of lower-ranking staffers with titles such as “policy analyst” and “senior policy advisor.”

The State Department cited concerns about potential harm to these top officials as the reason for withholding their identities.

Kerry told the Herald he will not disclose the full names until October, just a month before the 2024 presidential election.

This disclosure of salaries follows the House Oversight Committee’s initiation of an investigation into alleged clandestine discussions with the Chinese Communist Party and some radical environmental groups.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., accused Kerry of conducting unofficial U.S. affairs without Senate confirmation.

“The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating your role in the Biden Administration and the nature of your negotiations with the Chinese Communist Party,” Comer said in a letter addressed to Kerry.

In the letter, Comer added, “To date, you have failed to respond to any of our requests. Yet, you continue to engage in activities that could undermine our economic health, skirt congressional authority, and threaten foreign policy under the guise of climate advocacy.”

Kerry assumed his role in 2021 as part of President Joe Biden’s push for an far-left environmental agenda.

Immigrants Transferred to NYC School, Triggering Pandemic-era Remote Classes

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) New York City relocated approximately 2,000 illegal aliens from a makeshift tent shelter to a Brooklyn high school ahead of a major storm on the East Coast, city officials announced Tuesday.

This relocation forced James Madison High School students into pandemic-era remote classrooms, igniting frustration among already fed-up New Yorkers and raising concerns that the illegal immigrants might not be removed from the school until summer.

As reported by the New York Post, a resident expressed dismay at the funneling of immigrants into his neighborhood.

“This is f—ed up. It’s a litmus test. They are using a storm, a legitimate situation, where they are testing this out. I guarantee you they’ll be here for the entire summer,” rebuked the concerned man.

Drawing attention to the lack of vetting for illegal aliens, he reportedly added, “There’s 1,900 people getting thrown into my neighborhood… They’re not vetted. A lot of them have criminal records and backgrounds and we don’t even know.”

Echoing the resident’s concerns, a fired-up mother named Michelle screamed at the arriving the buses. “How do you feel? Does it feel good?” she yelled, according to the NY Post. “How does it feel that you kicked all the kids out of school tomorrow? Does it feel good? I hope you feel good. I hope you will sleep very well tonight!”

However, New Yorkers weren’t the only ones expressing dissatisfaction, as some of the illegal aliens themselves complained about the relocation. “They want us like animals, sending us from here to there,” said a Venezuelan woman in a Spanish interview with a local news outlet named the City. “This is craziness.”

The city government announced the relocation as a precautionary measure due to the looming storm expected to bring heavy winds and flash floods.

James Madison High School, a public school, issued a subsequent statement informing parents about the remote classes on Tuesday.

“I am writing with an update regarding the activation of James Madison High School as a temporary overnight respite center due to the forecast of potential high winds and flooding conditions beginning this evening through tomorrow morning,” JMHS Principal Jodie Cohen declared. “To ensure a smooth transition for families temporarily sheltering overnight in the building, our school building will be closed on Wednesday, January 10 and school will be in session remotely for all students.”

This move follows widespread criticism directed at both the federal government and the New York City government for the increasing number of illegal aliens flooding the city’s streets.

81% of All Political Late Night Show Jokes Target Conservatives

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was recently revealed in a new study from the Media Research Center that 81% of all political jokes told on major late-night comedy shows in 2023 targeted conservatives.

According to Fox News, the media watchdog analyzed each of the 9,518 political jokes that were told between six major daily late-night shows from Jan. 3, 2023, through Dec. 22, 2023, and found that 7,729 of them targeted “someone or something on the right side of the political spectrum.”

Among the shows that were analyzed were ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (until it was canceled in April of the last year).

However, the watchdog also discovered that some of the shows were more aggressive toward conservatives than others, with Kimmel’s show having the highest rate of anti-conservative jokes for a single show out of the six.

Of the 2,215 political jokes that were made on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” 1,960 — 88% — targeted conservatives. When it came to the specific people, MRC found out that Kimmel made fun of 94 conservatives, only 37 leftists and 11 non-partisan figures.

Colbert took the second place when it comes to mocking conservatives, with 1,655 jokes out of the total 1,918 jokes — 86% — being against the group.

Meyers was the next in line with 84% of his political jokes being anti-conservative (2,050 out of 2,445 jokes) and only 355 of them targeting the left.

“The Daily Show” took the fourth place, with 1,002 — 78% — out of 1,277 of its political jokes it told in 2023, being anti-conservative. Just 231 jokes — less than a quarter — were anti leftist.

Fallon took the fifth place, with the host joking about conservatives 929 times (66% of 1,416) last year.

“Fallon poked fun at 196 unique targets, 103 of whom were on the right, 85 of whom were on the left, and 18 of whom were non-partisan,” MRC said.

James Corden’s show, which only lasted four months into the year, ended the list, with 143 political jokes out of 245 aimed at conservatives (54%).
