911 Call From Lloyd Austin’s Team Reveals Secretive Nature of His Hospitalization

(Headline USA) The transcript of the 911 call placed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s team the day he was rushed to the hospital reveals the lengths to which he went to keep his condition a secret.

Austin was recently released from the hospital only after being kept in the intensive-care unit for days following complications from an elective surgical procedure related to his cancer diagnosis.

Reports revealed he had not informed others in the Pentagon or even the White House of his extended hospitalization, but instead told other Defense Department staffers that he was “working from home.”

When Austin was rushed to the hospital, his aides also took great pains to keep the news a secret.

“Can I ask—can the ambulance not show up with lights and sirens?” a staffer said in the recording, first obtained by the Daily Beast. “Um, we’re trying to remain a little subtle.”

The dispatcher agreed to the request, noting that “usually when they turn into a residential neighborhood, they’ll turn them off.” However, the operator added that Virginia law required EMTs to use the lights and sirens on major streets and intersections.

The transcript confirmed that Austin’s team intentionally wanted to hide the secretary’s condition—even from President Joe Biden, who reportedly learned of Austin’s hospitalization when it was publicly reported in the media.

This lack of transparency has prompted Republicans and even Democrats to demand Austin’s resignation.

“I have lost trust in Secretary Lloyd Austin’s leadership of the Defense Department due to the lack of transparency about his recent medical treatment and its impact on the continuity of the chain of command,” Rep. Chris Deluzio, D-Pa., who sits on the House Armed Services Committee, said in a statement last week.

The White House, however, has said Biden has no intention of firing Austin.

Charlamagne Tha God Laughs Off Jill Biden’s Defense of Joe’s ‘Vigor’

(Headline USA) Radio host Charlamagne Tha God blasted first lady Jill Biden this week after she claimed repeatedly that her husband still has the “energy” to serve another four years in office.

The first lady was pressed last week on the concerns about Joe Biden’s age and mental acuity, but she insisted that he will no have no issue serving a second term.

“He can do it,” she said. “I see Joe every day. I see him out, you know, traveling around this country. I see his vigor. I see his energy. I see his passion every single day.”

When asked if he agrees with Jill Biden’s assessment, Charlamagne (real name: Lenard McKelvey) responded with a firm “no” before laughing.

“Personally, I don’t see that vigor. And I don’t think a lot of other Americans see that vigor anyway,” he told Fox News, before qualifying his comments with an attack on Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

“I think the thing that should scare everybody is when you look across the aisle and you see a guy that’s got 91 criminal charges, he’s been impeached twice, he’s got four indictments… how are you losing to that guy?,” Charlamagne said. “Like, seriously.”

Trump supporters note that all of those have been strictly partisan attacks led by political operatives—and in several cases involve double standards in which Biden and other corrupt Democrats have gotten free passes for committing far more egregious offenses.

The radio host went on to argue that Jill Biden and other Democrats had no choice but to prop up Biden anyway because the Democratic Party was “stuck” with him.

“I get it because, you know, we’re stuck with what we got, right? So, I mean, she has to be optimistic, he explained.

“I mean, she has to say those things,” he continued. “What is she going to say? Like, ‘Oh… I don’t think he’s going to make it through four years. You know, I think he’s going to drop dead after 2.’ Like, I mean, what is she supposed to say?”

Many, in fact, speculate that it is Jill Biden who is insisting that the 81-year-old keep going, although some believe Biden is being blackmailed or otherwise coerced to serve as a puppet president while deliberately enacting deeply unpopular policies meant to undermine U.S. strength and sovereignty.

Some also believe the Democrat National Committee may be using him as a political placeholder before its August convention, and that it will substitute another candidate at the last minute with a stronger chance of defeating Trump.

Charlamagne Tha God is one of several Democrats who endorsed Biden back in 2020 but is now calling on the president to drop out of the 2024 race, citing Biden’s poor poll numbers and cognitive decline.

He is best known among non-listeners for the gaffes that Biden and Hillary Clinton both made on his show while desperately attempting to pander to a black audience.

Clinton implied that she regularly carried a bottle of hot sauce around with her—a claim that was met with considerable skepticism.

Biden notoriously suggested that voting Democrat was a requisite part of black people’s cultural identity and that they lacked the agency to think for themselves and act in their own self-interest outside the collective demands of their racial cohort.

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” he said.

Trump Earns Major Endorsement from 2016 Rival

(Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump earned a key endorsement this week from one of his past rivals: Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Cruz, who ran against Trump in 2016 and beat him in that year’s Iowa caucuses, said on Tuesday that he is “enthusiastically” throwing his support behind Trump for the Republican nomination.

“I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States,” Cruz told Fox News’s Sean Hannity. “I look forward to supporting him enthusiastically.”

Cruz argued Trump’s blow-out victory in this week’s Iowa caucuses prove that all Republican voters and candidates should rally behind the former president.

“[Iowa] was a dominating victory for Donald Trump,” he explained.

“I’ve got to say, there’s no place like the Iowa caucuses. I know it intimately,” he continued. “The men and women of Iowa, they take their responsibility incredibly seriously. They scrutinize the candidates. It’s an amazing process, and I’m a big believer in letting democracy play out. Well, last night it played out, and I got to say Trump’s victory was across the board … And at this point, I believe this race is over.”

Trump won 51% of the votes in Iowa on Monday night, claiming a 30-point victory over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who came in second, and over his own former United Nations ambassador, Nikki Haley, who came in third.

Such a landslide proves that the polls showing Trump way ahead of his opponents are not a fluke, Cruz pointed out.

“And the results last night: 51% [of the vote, which included] 98 counties—that’s compelling. And at this point, I think the contrast needs to be on substance and policy and records [versus Biden],” Cruz said.

The polls also show Trump beating President Joe Biden by a significant margin in several key swing states. One poll from Bloomberg even found Trump beating Biden in every one of the seven swing states.

Judge Shuts Down Marine’s Bid to Dismiss NYC Subway Death Charges

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A Manhattan judge has dismissed Daniel Penny’s motion to dismiss the criminal charges filed against him in connection with the fatal chokehold of Jordan Neely, a homeless man who reportedly accosted New York City subway riders.

As reported by the New York Post on Wednesday, Judge Maxwell Wiley denied the request which cited allegations that prosecutors from the Soros-tied Manhattan District Attorney’s office improperly presented the medical examiner’s information to the jury.

Thomas Kenniff, Penny’s attorney, expressed disagreement with the decision, describing the case as “ill-conceived,” according to Fox News.

“While we disagree with the Court’s decision not to dismiss the indictment, we understand that the legal threshold to continue even an ill-conceived prosecution is very low,” the defense attorney said.

“We are confident that a jury, aware of Danny’s actions in putting aside his own safety to protect the lives of his fellow riders, will deliver a just verdict. Danny is grateful for the continued prayers and support through this difficult process,” he added.

In contrast, Donte Mills, Neely’s attorney, celebrated the decision as a “big win,” as reported by Fox News.

“(Penny’s) attorneys tried to get the judge to ignore the grand jury by throwing the charges out. It didn’t work,” Mills said. “The criminal charges against Daniel Penny will move forward.”

The case garnered national attention due to widespread criticism of reported lawlessness in the New York City subway system.

On May 1, 2023, Penny was hailed by many as a Marine “hero” after rushing to help bystanders during a chaotic subway ride where Neely allegedly proclaimed that he was not afraid of going to jail for life or dying.

Penny placed Neely in a chokehold to subdue him, a move that proved fatal for the reported homeless man.

Bragg, who is currently leading criminal charges against former President Donald Trump over alleged hush money payment, faced mounting pressure from leftist activists, including Black Lives Matter, to arrest Penny in connection with Neely’s death.

Ultimately, Bragg slapped Penny with second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges.

The Marine veteran is scheduled to be back in court on March 20.

Ramaswamy Brushes Off Brouhaha over ‘Racist’ Babylon Bee Satire

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) The Babylon Bee, an online conservative satire site, drew backlash from both sides of the aisle over an article it published Tuesday that used Indian–American stereotypes to lampoon ex-primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and former President Donald Trump.

The piece, titled “Trump Promises Vivek An Administration Position Running the White House 7-Eleven,” poked fun at both following Trump’s landslide victory in the Iowa caucus and Ramaswamy’s subsequent concession from the race, which included his endorsement of the GOP frontrunner.

The website, which became a household name after its Twitter ban for poking fun at transgender people inspired Elon Musk to buy the censorious social-media company, has often broached politically incorrect topics, while also promoting Christian and pro-family values.

Yet, even conservative fans who considered themselves staunch supporters of the Bee’s free-speech rights questioned whether the site had stepped over the line.

“I’m 100% Trump and think Babylon Bee is a national treasure, but this one is just stupid,” said Twitter user Poiseuille. “A public retraction seems appropriate here, but I’ll still look forward to your stuff.”

It was not immediately clear whether critics objected to the article because of the purportedly offensive stereotype or the fact that it was appeared to be directed at Ramaswamy and Trump, both beloved figures in the America First movement.

“So is the joke that Trump values him so poorly that he only sees him as a clerk at 7-11… or that you think he’s a clerk at 7-11 because of a tired stereotype about Indian people?” asked conservative comedian Tim Young on Twitter.

Several users defended the article, arguing that even if you didn’t find the joke to be funny, at worst, was essentially harmless.

“Absolutely pathetic,” said conservative commentator Matt Walsh in the Bee’s defense.

Walsh and several of his colleagues at the Daily Wire are frequent targets of the Bee’s mockery.

In 2023, following the success of his documentary What Is a Woman?, Walsh’s name appeared in five Bee headlines, including the June 26 article “Matt Walsh Goes On Jeopardy, Responds To Every Clue With ‘What Is A Woman?’”

“I guarantee [Ramaswamy] is not the slightest bit offended,” Walsh tweeted. “You guys really don’t need to be his white knight to protect him from Babylon Bee headlines.”

Even Ramaswamy chimed in, taking the joke in stride and brushing off the alleged racism, laughing at his apparent “survivor” status.

Even prior to launching his own pharmaceutical company, second-generation immigrant—whose parents migrated from the southwestern Indian state of Kerala to Cincinnati, Ohio—enjoyed a relatively affluent upbringing. His father was an engineer and patent attorney, while his mother was a geriatric psychiatrist.

Ramaswamy attended a Catholic high school, where he was the valedictorian, and was a nationally ranked tennis player before matriculating to Harvard and then Yale Law School.

Twitter user BarleyPop pointed out that the authors of the piece probably meant to bring to mind President Joe Biden’s comments about Indians in 7-11 from a C-SPAN interview in 2008.

Ramaswamy suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump after the announcement of former president’s massive lead in the Iowa caucus on Monday.

Some speculate that Ramaswamy is one of Trump’s top picks for the vice presidency. The former president is reportedly still in talks with his team on the matter, despite dropping hints about being close to a decision last week.

Blinken Mocked after Jet Breaks Down in Davos: ‘Take Your Electric Car Instead’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s return to the U.S. from the World Economic Forum in Davos was delayed due to a “mechanical issue” with his Boeing jet, a spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.

Reportedly, the business jet faced an oxygen leak that made the aircraft unsafe to take off but was not caught until he arrived at a Zurich airport via a helicopter.

The delay led to mocking criticism from some, Rep. Mike Collins, R-Ga., who humorously suggested an alternative mode of travel for Blinken: “Maybe take your electric car instead of your gas-guzzling DEI jet next time.”

ZeroHedge, a conservative news outlet, also criticized Blinken’s reported use of a jet for Davos travel in a sarcastic Twitter post. “Blinken took a helicopter from Davos to the airport. Because, you know, the Davos crowd is so very worried about CO2 emissions,” the outlet said.

As reported by Fox News, Matthew Miller, a spokesperson for the Department of State, acknowledged the delay in a statement.

“There’s a mechanical issue. I don’t know the nature of the mechanical issue, but he is in Zurich. He was scheduled to fly back from Zurich,” Miller claimed.

“The Air Force has a replacement plane inbound. We expect him to be back still tonight. But several hours later than originally planned,” he added.

Bloomberg News reported that the Boeing 737 designated for Blinken was deemed unsafe for flying. Consequently, a smaller alternative jet was flown from Brussels to transport the Secretary of State back home.

This mechanical issue occurred amid ongoing criticism within the aviation industry regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) scandals. Critics argue that such initiatives may compromise the merit-based evaluation of employees in the aviation sector.

Several accounts on Twitter reflected on the incident by highlighting the alleged implementation of DEI in the industry.

J6 Amnesty Org. Confronts Awkward Haley, Hutchinson over Pardon Pledges

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Look Ahead America—a group seeking amnesty on behalf of political dissidents arrested for involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021 uprising at the U.S. Capitol—released a video Monday in which it asked leading GOP presidential candidates how they would remediate the partisan prosecutions of J6 participants under the Biden administration.

The group spoke with four top contenders prior to the Iowa caucus: former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley; Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis; former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson; and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who recently exited the race and endorsed the frontrunner, former President Donald Trump.

LAA Executive Director Matt Braynard also explained in the video that while it was unable to ask Trump directly to state his position, he previously had gone on the record in support of pardoning many of the nonviolent participants.

Brayard noted that all the candidates signaled their support in some capacity, according to the Washington Examiner.

“Not a single one of these candidates said, ‘Just lock them up and throw away the key, I don’t care,’” he noted. “All of them gave an answer that at least attempted to be somewhat sympathetic to the people who care about this issue.”

However, the field’s two leading RINOs—Haley and Hutchinson—both predictably fumbled while broaching a subject they were loath to discuss at the risk of alienating left-wing financial backers and prospective voters.

According to Haley, Jan. 6 was a “terrible day. She said those involved who were violent and caused damage to the Capitol should “pay the price.”

Still, Haley admitted that the Biden regime was engaged in nefarious lawfare.

“I think they should have their day in court,” she said, alluding to those imprisoned without a timely hearing.

“If they committed a crime, I think they should be held accountable,” she continued. “If they didn’t commit a crime, I think they should be let go.”

Haley stopped short of saying whether spurious charges, such as parading at the Capitol or obstructing Congress, which have rarely—if ever—been applied to leftist demonstrators and political disruptors, constituted crimes in her view; nor whether the sentences issued by radical Obama judges in the D.C. court system had been just.

Hutchinson, pivoting his response to his executive experience as the governor of Arkansas, was even less willing to go on the record in support of the prisoners, saying only that he would be willing to evaluate their pardon requests.

“I would handle any pardon applications just as I did as governor, which I looked at individually,” he said, adding that he would attempt to judge them all by the same legal principle.

“I would make sure that they were reviewed by my team, and they would look at it in terms of fairness, in terms of justice and equal treatment, and, when appropriate, in terms of mercy,” he continued. “So each of them would be looked at individually.”

Ramaswamy and DeSantis both committed wholeheartedly to pardoning those who have been imprisoned for years by Biden and his regime.

“I will deliver to every peaceful J6 protester a pardon on Jan. 20, 2025,” Ramaswamy said. “And those who have been held without an actual trial or held without even being charged deserve recompense from a government that has wronged them.”

The Florida governor promised “one standard of justice for everybody,” including “pardons and clemency” for those who have been mistreated by the Biden regime.

DeSantis also promised to “clean house and the DOJ and the FBI,” both of which have been weaponized against J6 rally-goers while BLM, Antifa and other extreme-left groups promoting political unrest and domestic terrorism routinely got let off the hook for their crimes.

Capitol Police Arrest 130 Mennonite Insurrectionists During House Sit-In

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Capitol Police arrested approximately 130 Mennonite protesters at the Cannon House Office Building rotunda on Tuesday during a sit-in calling for a cease-fire in Gaza, the Washington Post reported.

The Cannon protesters were charged with “crowding, obstructing, or incommoding” under the Washington, D.C., city code. It is unclear why the group was not charged under U.S. code, as others have been in similar circumstances in accordance with Title 40 Ch. 2 § 193.

“Demonstrations are not allowed inside Congressional Buildings, so when they started to protest and refused to stop, we began arresting them,” a Capitol Police statement said.

Jonathan Brenneman, a spokesperson for the activist group Mennonite Action, said that the group was committed to checking the opinions of their opponents, “Christian nationalists” who champion “Israel’s genocide” against the people of Gaza.

“We felt compelled to speak clearly as Christians,” he claimed.

According to Brenneman, the purpose of the protest was to “to demand a cease-fire … to call for a release of all hostages—Israeli and Palestinian—and an end to the occupation.”

Although Palestine has never been formally recognized as a country, Gaza has held autonomous elections—free from Israeli control—since 1994, and first democratically elected the terrorist group Hamas to lead its government in 2006.

However, many Palestinians also consider Israel itself to be “occupied” territory and are seeking to obliterate the Jewish nation–state, which was established in 1948 to resettle European Jews displaced by the Holocaust in their ancestral holy land, and quickly became a destination for those from various other parts of the Arab world who felt persecuted by their adoptive countries.

The current cease-fire between the two hostile neighbors was broken following an Oct. 7, 2023, massacre, during which Hamas raped, tortured and slaughtered an estimated 1,200 innocent Israeli civilians in an unnannounced and unprovoked attack.

The Mennonites, who are committed to pacifism, conducted the sit-in in order to “use our voices as powerfully as possible” for the “cause of peace and justice” throughout the world.

In video footage posted to Mennonite Action’s Instagram account, the nonviolent insurrectionists can be heard singing in unison as they call for a ceasefire in the Middle East.

The group’s website called the conflict in the Middle East “unprecedented” and “tragic.”

In response to such situations, they draw on the “Mennonite history of opposing war” and in “providing aid and relief to Palestine and to the Middle East,” it said.

All You Do to Me Is Talk Talk!

(Money Metals News Service) In this episode of the Money Metals Midweek Memo, host Mike Maharrey discusses the recent dynamics in the precious metals markets, particularly focusing on the Federal Reserve’s influence and the price movements of gold.

The episode starts with Maharrey expressing his skepticism towards the Federal Reserve, suggesting that their actions and statements significantly impact the financial markets, often overshadowing fundamental economic indicators. He points out a recent dip in the price of gold and the Dow, attributing it to comments made by Fed Governor Chris Waller, who was perceived as hawkish in his speech at The Brookings Institution. Waller’s cautious stance on rate hikes led to market panic, reflecting the market’s sensitivity to the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy.

Maharrey then delves into the intricacies of the market’s reaction to the Federal Reserve’s policies. He argues that the market is overly dependent on the Fed’s actions, particularly regarding interest rate decisions. He highlights that the current market is not driven by fundamentals like company value, supply and demand, or the general state of the economy. Instead, it is largely influenced by expectations about the Fed’s monetary policy.

The discussion includes an analysis of December’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, suggesting that price inflation is still high and far from the Fed’s 2% target. Maharrey notes that, despite appearances, monetary conditions are not as tight as they seem, especially when compared to historical standards. He cites the 1970s, when interest rates were much higher, to argue that current rates are not sufficient to control inflation.

Jim Grant’s interview is referenced, where Grant describes inflation as “endemic” and suggests that the economy is heavily reliant on easy money. Maharrey agrees, predicting that despite current hawkish tones, the Fed is likely to cut interest rates in the near future, regardless of whether inflation is under control. He believes this will be due to a potential crisis caused by high interest rates impacting the debt-ridden economy.

The podcast concludes with a call to action, advising listeners to consider adding gold and silver to their portfolios as a secure asset in uncertain economic times. Maharrey emphasizes the importance of being prepared for potential economic downturns and highlights the need to stay informed about financial news and trends.

Report: Anonymous Finder of Jan. 6 Pipe Bomb Was an Undercover Capitol Police Officer

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) For more than three years, the FBI and media referred to the person who discovered a pipe bomb outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters on Jan. 6, 2021, as a mere “passerby.”

But according to a new report from Blaze Media, that passerby was a plainclothes Capitol Police officer.

“Multiple congressional staffers familiar with the investigation confirm to Blaze Media that despite months of the FBI stonewalling congressional committees’ inquiries, they now know the identity of that individual,” Blaze reported.

“Despite congressional aides having given this information to Blaze Media as part of our extensive Capitol CCTV video investigations into the DNC pipe bomb incident, they have not yet revealed the name of the USCP plainclothes officer and how they came to know his identity,” the outlet added.

Blaze Media’s report seems to add credibility to Rep. Thomas Massie’s, R-Ky., earlier suggestions that the Jan. 6 pipe bombers were part of a false-flag operation.

Last July, Massie played video in Congress of the passerby—who now reportedly turns out to be undercover Capitol Police— “miraculously” finding a pipe bomb outside of the DNC headquarters.

Massie suggested at the time that the pipe bombs placed outside the DNC and RNC were distractions to divert law enforcement away from the Capitol, right around the time as the election protests were about to become violent.

“It was specifically at the same precise time to cause maximum distraction from the events going on at the Capitol,” he said last July. “It appears to me that that wasn’t a coincidence.”

However, FBI Director Chris Wray declined to answer any of Massie’s questions about the matter, including whether agents interviewed the person who found the DNC pipe bomb.

“I’m not going to get into that,” Wray said at the time.

The identity of the person who found the DNC pipe bomb is one of the many anomalies of the Jan. 6 pipe bomb case. The person to discover the device outside of the RNC was reportedly an FBI contractor.

An issue ignored by mainstream media, conservative outlets such as Revolver News have shown the improbability that the explosive devices could have been sitting outside the DNC and RNC headquarters for some 17 hours.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., is among those who’ve called it “odd” that the Secret Service agents and their bomb-sniffing dogs didn’t detect the devices when sweeping the DNC area ahead of a visit by Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

And according to FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin, the bureau might be suppressing information about the pipe bomb suspect’s identity.

Seraphin, who worked on the Jan. 6 investigation before being suspended from the FBI in April 2022, told the Washington Times earlier this year that investigators linked the suspect to a D.C. MetroRail SmarTrip card. The card indicated the individual got off at a Northern Virginia stop after planting both devices on Jan. 5.

“So they tagged the entrance time and the exit time to that card to that guy. And then they found out who bought the card. And the guy who bought the card was not the guy who was using it,” Seraphin told the Washington Times.

“The card had never been used before. It was bought a year prior by a retired chief master sergeant in the Air Force, and he was a security contractor. So, he held a security clearance,” he reportedly said.

Seraphin reportedly added that the FBI used security camera footage from the Northern Virginia Metro stop to identify the license plate of a car that the individual entered.

Still, the FBI has not publicly identified the subject.

Additionally, Seraphin has alleged that the J6 pipe bombs were built with inert material and were incapable of detonating.

On the No Way, Jose podcast last May, Seraphin explained the implications of his disclosures.

“Here’s why that’s interesting: The feds are never going to give you a real bomb. If they’re going to set you up with something, it’s not going to be real. It’s going to be to set you up,” he said.

“And there’s no reason why we should not have run this person into the ground and found out who it was. And that person should have been charged. The only reasonable thing I can think of is: Somebody doesn’t want that person to be found, and the most likely reason is that person is or was a federal source for some agency at some point,” he said.

Headline USA has previously reported on a security clearance-holding counterterrorism analyst who vanished after claiming to identify the pipe bomber in 2022. That analyst, Jade Parker, has not been heard from publicly since then.
