Public Outrage Prompts U.K. Police to Investigate Viral Ear-Nibbling Incident

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Authorities in the United Kingdom announced a search for a man who nibbled a young boy’s ear on camera at the World Snooker Championship, according to the Daily Mail.

The incident took place last week in the background of an interview with seven-time world Snooker champion Stephen Hendry during a break in the competition.

The predator, who some social media users allegedly identified as Stefano Voci, leaned over and whispered something into a young boy’s ear. He then proceeded to bite the boy’s ear.

The boy did not seem particularly shocked or surprised at the man’s behavior.

The boy then noticed they were on camera, and waved excitedly. The man, in what seemed to be an attempt to brush off the incident, made a funny face.

The relationship between the two is not clear in the video.

The video went viral on social media, leading the South Yorkshire Police to announce an investigation into the matter.

“Yesterday, Thursday 25 April at 9:20pm, we received a call to inform us of a video circulating on social media of a man and a boy at the Crucible in Sheffield,” the police force said. “We are aware of the footage and officers will be reviewing the content.”

The authorities released no other information.

Twitter users made the video go viral with their scandalized reactions.

“Find him and remove that poor child,” said one user. “Someone must know who he is.”

“Someone get this info to the police. He needs to be investigated,” a second user said. “You can see he was taken aback after realizing he was on camera. Then pretended to act like it was all normal.”

Some users speculated about their relationship and questioned the length of the possible abuse.

Stefano Voci deleted his social media page just after the incident, leading some to believe he is the assailant.

Biden Demonizes Companies, Seeks Ban on “Shrinkflation”

(Mike Gleason, Money Metals News Service) As central bankers waver on rate cuts, precious metals markets continue to pull back.

On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve opted to leave interest rates unchanged. Given the spate of recent hotter-than-expected readings on inflation, policymakers had little choice but to postpone any plans for monetary easing.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell conveyed confusion over the outlook for inflation and the prospects for rate cuts going forward.

Jerome Powell:

“In recent months, inflation has shown a lack of further progress toward our 2% objective, and we remain highly attentive to inflation risks.

We’ve stated that we do not expect that it will be appropriate to reduce the target range for the federal funds rate until we have gained greater confidence that inflation is moving sustainably toward 2%. So far this year, the data have not given us that greater confidence. In particular, and as I noted earlier, readings on inflation have come in above expectations.

So, I think there are paths that the economy can take that would involve cuts in their paths that wouldn’t, and I don’t have great confidence in which of those paths. I think I would say my personal forecast is that we will begin to see further progress on inflation this year. I don’t know that it will be enough, sufficient. I don’t know that it won’t.”

When asked whether the economy is headed toward stagflation, Powell insisted he doesn’t see any parallels between the late 1970s episode and today.  He cited a low official unemployment rate, positive economic growth, and an inflation rate well below double digits – at least officially.

But if the Consumer Price Index was calculated today the same way it was decades ago, without all the subsequent adjustments and substitutions, then the CPI would be running at roughly double the rate being reported.

The disconnect between government economic statistics and the real-world financial struggles of typical households is revealed by plunging consumer confidence readings. In April, consumer confidence fell for a third straight month to a 21-month low. Chief among the reasons for Americans souring on the economy is rising costs of living.

Americans have been told over and over by the Fed, the Biden administration, and the mainstream media that the economy is strong.

A recent Wall Street Journal piece went so far as to try to prove that ordinary Americans are wrong to be dissatisfied with the economy because government statistics show it is doing just fine. If millions of families are finding it more difficult to pay their bills at the end of the month, well, they must all be mistaken somehow.

But their rising rent and mortgage payments, their electricity bills, their food costs, and their insurance premiums are more impactful to them than any piece of official economic data that is supposed to make them feel better.  They can’t substitute a contrived price index for their actual cost of living increases.

Incumbent politicians in Washington, D.C. are panicking over the prospect of angry voters demanding change when they go to the polls this November. Some members of Congress are trying to redirect that anger toward corporations that are passing on their own rising costs of doing business to consumers.

President Joe Biden recently called for a ban on so-called “shrinkflation.” That refers to the practice of manufacturers of food and other products shrinking their portion sizes. Yes, it’s a sneaky way for manufacturers to shortchange consumers. But the alternative is to just slap higher price tags on same-sized items.

Shrinkflation is just a symptom of an underlying problem. The underlying problem is that the currency is losing value.

Currency depreciation isn’t caused by corporate greed. It’s caused by the central bank bringing excessive amounts of currency into existence — which of course facilitates excessive government deficit spending.

What consumers must do if they want to protect the value of their savings from being eroded away by inflation is own real assets that retain value regardless of how rapidly the currency depreciates.

Gold and silver represent sound money. And no matter how much the Wall Street-centric financial media try to pooh-pooh precious metals, they performed better than the stock market in the first four months of 2024.

Anti-Trump Prosecutor Pleads the 5th When Asked about Breaking Laws

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A former Manhattan District Attorney staffer exercised his Fifth Amendment rights while being questioned by House Judiciary Committee members in a May of 2023 hearing about the potentially illegal investigation of former President Donald Trump, Newsweek reported Thursday.

Ex-prosecutor Mark Pomerantz, who at the time was special assistant to the Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, refused to answer whether or not used illegal methods to investigate Trump in the case of his 34-count felony lawfare indictment in connection with an alleged hush-money scheme.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., who was part of the subcommittee’s investigation into the weaponization of the government against the former president, posted footage of the session to his Twitter account:

“Did you knowingly break any laws when investigating President Trump?” Gaetz asked Pomerantz.

“On the advice of counsel, I’m not going to answer that question, sir,” Pomerantz replied, invoking his “privilege against self-incrimination.”

Later, asked the same question, Pomerantz offered the “same response.”

Gaetz later told Newsweek that he asked Pomerantz a “very simple question regarding whether he committed crimes or violated the civil rights of any people in the course of his investigation of President Trump and his tenure at the Manhattan DA’s office,” which he of course refused to answer.

The footage was released on the heels of the Judiciary Subcommittee’s report on the “Anatomy of a Political Prosecution,” a description of Bragg’s office and its politicized mistreatment of Trump.

The subcommittee concluded in the report that Bragg “weaponized the criminal justice system” by “scouring every aspect of President Trump’s personal life and business affairs, going back decades, in the hopes of finding some legal basis—however far-fetched, novel, or convoluted—to bring charges against him.”

When said theories were disproven, they suggested, the DA simply “pivoted to a new theory,” searching for any crimes that might serve as the basis for their prosecutorial efforts.

Ex-Baltimore Prosecutor Seeks Biden Pardon from 40-Yr. Sentence

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Marilyn Mosby, former district attorney of Baltimore, Maryland, has requested a preemptive presidential pardon after receiving charges for perjury and mortgage fraud.

A jury found Mosby guilty last November of illegally withdrawing funds from her city retirement and lying on a mortgage application in order to purchase a home in Florida with the retirement withdrawals.

On her mortgage application, she included a $5,000 gift she claimed she received from her husband in order to secure a lower interest rate. Investigations revealed that she sent the money to her husband, who then sent it back to her in an attempt to trick creditors.

She faces up to 40 years in prison.

Mosby, 44, appeared on MSNBC for an interview with Joy Reid, where she insisted she did “absolutely nothing wrong, nothing illegal, nothing criminal,” and claimed a pardon from President Joe Biden would be “appropriate.”

She also argued that the charges are a “political attack” against her and her far-left, soft-on-crime politics that led to soaring crime in the city of Baltimore.

“I want this justice system that I fought so hard to equalize and to balance the scales of justice, where the business model is based off the backs of black and brown people… for the people that I fought for to understand and recognize that I need them to fight for me…” she said. “If they can do this to Marilyn Mosby, who had the audacity to challenge the status quo, they can do this to anybody.”

Mosby’s supporters started a petition to get a pardon from President Biden; however, she has not submitted an application to the Office of the Pardon Attorney, which reviews cases and makes pardon recommendations to the president.

Mosby is set to receive her sentence on May 23.

Gov’t Intelligence Official Falsely Fingered Colleagues as Capitol Hill Stormers

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) A former government employee who worked in the intelligence community was arrested this week for falsely accusing at least seven of his colleagues of participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill uprising.

According to the Justice Department, the defendant, Mike Zapata, used a proxy web browser and “burner” email accounts to submit false tips to the FBI about his former colleagues.

Charging documents don’t identify what agency or agencies Zapata and his colleagues worked for, but they do specify the agencies as being part of the intelligence community. There are eight victims listed on an FBI affidavit, but details for “Victim 4” were omitted.

One of the victims was Zapata’s boss.

“ZAPATA previously worked with Victim 6, who had interviewed and hired ZAPATA and then served as ZAPATA’s program manager. The FBI has interviewed Victim 6, who reported that Victim 6 was working from their Virginia home during the attack at the Capitol on January 6, 2021,” said the arrest warrant affidavit, which was signed by a Special Agent with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, who works on an FBI cyber task force.

“Victim 6’s employer provided information related to Victim 6’s activity on their virtual private network that demonstrated Victim 6 was working remotely on January 6. Victim 6 denied coordinating any of the January 6 attack at the Capitol.”

According to the charging documents, Zapata told the FBI that his boss “attended the capitol riot insurrection.”

“[He/she] was directly involved in coordination of the riot that lead [sic] to the deaths of 6 people,” Zapata allegedly told the FBI’s tip line. “[He/she] uses [his/her] clearance to continue supporting [an intelligence agency] and accesses classified information.”

Investigators were able to track down Zapata by obtaining his personal information from the company that provided his proxy web browser. Zapata’s internet history also appears to be incriminating, according to the charging documents.

For example, “On April 11, 2021, Company A’s logs showed ZAPATA’s user account accessed the FBI’s tips site, conducted research on Victims 7 and 8, conducted a Google search for the term ‘fbi mole,’ accessed a disposable email service, and accessed the website of an Office of Inspector General for an IC agency,” the charging documents state.

Zapata’s case was first reported by Politico and has yet to appear on the federal court docket.

Romance Scammer Promised Fake Gold to Bilk Victims for Millions

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) It was an old-fashioned romance scam, involving a man posing as a female online to induce unfortunate men to send him their life savings.

This scam, however, was fairly complex, involving a fake bank website and non-existent gold bars. The alleged perpetrator of this scam, Richard Opoku Agyemang, was arrested last month by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

According to the complaint against Agyemang, a USPIS agent interviewed a victim in January who sent $345,280 to Agyemang, who was posing online as “Emily.”

The victim told the USPIS agent that Emily spoke with an accent and purported to reside in Miami, where she was working as an ICU nurse at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Eventually, Emily began asking the victim for money, which he sent to her. Emily told him the funds were going to pay for experimental and expensive medications meant for her mother in London.

“According to Victim 1, Emily also said she needed more money to pay ‘Mercury Assets Security Company’ in order to release two boxes of gold bars worth $9.2 million,” the complaint said.

“Victim 1 has never met Emily in person and has not received any gold bars.”

A second victim in New Mexico allegedly sent Agyemang $410,000 while the defendant was posing online as “Kathy.”

That victim told the same USPIS agent he developed a romantic relationship with “Kathy” that moved to text messages and eventually to speaking on Skype and via email. Instead of enticing him with gold, “Kathy” told the second victim “she” was supposed to be receiving an inheritance of diamond stones from her deceased father valued at $3.8 million.

The scam against the second victim also involved a fake bank website, according to the complaint.

“Based on screenshots of emails provided by Victim 2, it appears that the suspects created fraudulent websites for the First National Bank of London and for Neelevet, as well as fraudulent ‘customer support’ communications,” the complaint said.

The Virginia and New Mexico victims were the only ones highlighted in the criminal complaint, but the USPIS agent said there are at least “four dozen” other victims that have been bilked for more than $2 million combined.

“I have been able to interview some of the other suspected victims and confirmed that, at least as to those individuals, the funds were sent in connection with a romance fraud,” the agent said in his affidavit.

“For example, one victim provided copies of emails showing that he had been induced to send $13,000 to the RISUN LLC Wells Fargo account to pay for alleged taxes on gold bars being imported to the United States by his alleged online romantic partner.”

Agyemang was indicted on April 24 with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, six counts of money laundering, and several other charges.

He currently has a jury trial set for June 24, though, at this early stage of the case, it’s likely that the Justice Department has yet to offer him a plea deal.

Firefighter’s Dire Plea to Trump During Surprise Visit: ‘Sir, Save Us!’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) During a visit with members of the New York City Fire Department, former President Donald Trump was approached by a firefighter who issued a desperate plea: ‘Save us!’

On Thursday, Trump made a swift departure from a Manhattan courtroom to deliver pizza to the dedicated servicemen at a firehouse in Midtown.

As seen in a video shared by a Trump spokesperson, the scene depicted the Republican candidate shaking hands with the firefighters. One serviceman extends his arms to greet the former president, saying, “Sir, save us, please.”

Prompting laughter from his colleagues, the firefighter reiterated, “Save us.”

It isn’t immediately clear whether the man referred to the FDNY, New Yorkers or Americans.

The man’s plea comes amid leftist condemnation of the fire department, following the recent booing and chastising of embattled New York Attorney General Letitia James during a graduation ceremony of FDNY members in March.

“Trump! Trump! Trump!” the graduates chanted as James took the stage. At the time, she was embroiled in a legal battle with the former president over a civil lawsuit.

In response, FDNY leadership unleashed a controversial investigation into the individuals who ridiculed the attorney general.

In the aftermath of the backlash, FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh was booed by pro-Trump demonstrators during a St. Patrick’s Day parade.

“You suck!” a man was heard shouting at Kavanaugh as she walked with a group of firefighters outside Trump Tower in Manhattan.

“Firefighters are the hunters,” the man added.

Kavanaugh is a political appointee and has never served as a firefighter, beginning her city career as an aide to leftist, former Mayor Bill de Blasio.

For his part, Trump remains confined to New York City for the criminal trial on charges brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a far-left Democrat who campaigned on the promise to indict the former president if elected.

Bragg accuses Trump of falsifying business records related to payments to disgraced former attorney Michael Cohen.

While such offenses are typically considered misdemeanors, Bragg elevated the charges to felony level because the alleged falsification of business records violated federal campaign law.

Notably, Trump has never faced federal charges related to the payments associated with former porn star Stormy Daniels.

Leftist Chicago Mayor Storms Off Event to Evade Questions

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson showcased his sprinting skills on Thursday when reporters approached him for questions about a murdered police officer.

Following a community event in Chicago, Johnson hastily made his way to his security vehicle as reporters attempted to surround him with inquiries about the killing of Chicago Officer Luis Huesca.

“Mr. Mayor, please wait—Mr. Mayor! Mr. Mayor, why do you have to run from us?” a woman can be heard questioning in a video shared by journalist Darius Johnson.

Chicago is currently grieving over the tragic killing of Huesca, whose death sparked a citywide manhunt for the suspect, now identified as Xavier Tate, Jr. Authorities accuse Tate of fatally shooting Huesca during a carjacking on April 21.

Meanwhile, Johnson is contending with the rampant illegal immigration and growing concerns regarding lawlessness in Chicago.

On Thursday, the mayor attended a National Day of Prayer in Eaglewood, Chicago.

As the event concluded, Johnson was seen leaving the park surrounded by his security guards and other individuals, presumably his aides.

As reporters rushed to ask him questions, Johnson hurriedly boarded his SUV.

“Why do you have to run from us? Mr. Mayor, why would you run from us,” the same reporter asked, as the SUV left.

Following the incident, Johnson’s office cllaimed that the individual depicted in the video running was not the mayor, despite evidence to the contrary.

“That isn’t Mayor Brandon Johnson in the video and the person that is being filmed running was trying to catch the car before it departed,” the mayor’s office asserted, according to the reporter who first shared the video.

The emergence of the video showing Johnson evading questions coincided with accusations challenging his fitness to lead Chicago.

Earlier this year, Johnson made headlines when reports surfaced revealing his alleged treatment for “panic attacks” attributed to job-related stress.

According to reporter Anita Padilla and podcast host John Kass, the mayor had taken antidepressants.

“No amount of anti-depressants can cure him of this problem,” Kass said.

Later in the podcast, Padilla concurred, asking, “Can we talk about that? Because sources told me, two sources told me that he has been in the hospital for these panic attacks. And he is stressed out because this is a big, big job for him.”

Trump Will Address Libertarians to Defeat Biden

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was announced that Donald Trump will address the Libertarian National Party at their convention on May 25, 2024.

In preparation for his speech, the Libertarian Party will present Trump with a list of their top ten issues, aiming to influence his policy positions, Trending Politics reported, adding that the interaction is seen as a chance to bridge ideological gaps and foster a dialogue that could allow removing Joe Biden from the White House and saving the United States.

“Libertarians are some of the most independent and thoughtful thinkers in our Country, and I am honored to join them in Washington, DC, later this month. We must all work together to help advance freedom and liberty for every American, and a second Trump Administration will achieve that goal. I look forward to speaking at the Libertarian Event, which will be attended by many of my great friends,” Trump said.

He then added that both conservatives and libertarians need to work together to defeat Biden if they want to save this country.

“We all have to remember that our goal is to defeat the Worst President in the History of the United States, BY FAR, Crooked Joe Biden. If Libertarians join me and the Republican Party, where we have many Libertarian views, the election won’t even be close. We cannot have another four years of death, destruction, and incompetence. WE WILL WORK TOGETHER AND WIN!” Trump proclaimed.

“Become Ungovernable” is the theme of this year’s Libertarian National Convention, which is supposed to reflect the party’s response to what they consider authoritarian actions by both federal and state governments under Biden’s regime.

As of May 2, 2024, the latest update on the national polls for the 2024 presidential election shows Trump leading with 41.4% of the vote, with Biden taking second place (40.8%) and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. taking third place (10%).

Fox News Caves to Hunter Biden

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Fox News pulled down a mini-series on Hunter Biden after the lawyers of the corrupt son of Joe Biden threatened with a lawsuit.

The New York Post reported that the six-part program, “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” which was available on Fox Nation, the network’s digital streaming platform, will stay down at least temporarily pending a review.

“This program was produced in and has been available since 2022. We are reviewing the concerns that have just been raised and — out of an abundance of caution in the interim — have taken it down,” a Fox News spokesperson said.

Hunter’s lawyers sent a letter to the cable news giant, in which they accused the network of publishing “hacked” intimate images of the scandal-plagued 54-year-old.

“For the last five years, Fox News has relentlessly attacked Hunter Biden and made him a caricature in order to boost ratings and for its financial gain,” attorneys Mark Geragos, Bryan Freedman and Tina Glandian said.

Additionally, they also specifically called on Fox News to remove “The Trial of Hunter Biden” mock trial series, which was released in 2022.

The mini-series used a mix of actors and real material to depict what Hunter’s trial would be like.

The corrupt lawyers criticized the series, calling it a distortion.

“While using certain true information, the series intentionally manipulates the facts, distorts the truth, narrates happenings out of context and invents dialogue intended to entertain. Thus, the viewer of the series cannot decipher what is fact and what is fiction, which is highly damaging to Mr. Biden,” they stated.

Fox News responded to the lawyers by saying that the network was justified to make and release the mini-series because Hunter “is a public figure who has been the subject of investigations by both the Department of Justice and Congress, has been indicted by two different US Attorney’s Offices in California and Delaware and has admitted to multiple incidents of wrongdoing.”

“Hunter Biden’s lawyers have belatedly chosen to publicly attack Fox News’ constitutionally protected coverage regarding their client… Consistent with the First Amendment, Fox News has accurately covered these highly publicized events as well as the subsequent indictment of an FBI informant who was the source of certain claims made about Mr. Biden,” Fox News said.
