Fake News Caught Trying to Memory Hole Kamala’s Appointment as ‘Border Czar’

(Headline USA) The leftist media was slammed by conservative critics—including the Trump campaign—after it tried to cover for Vice President Kamala Harris this week by downplaying her role as President Joe Biden’s “border czar.”

Harris’s record on immigration has come under increased scrutiny over the past few days after she became the Democratic Party’s anointed presidential nominee when Biden ended his reelection bid and endorsed her on Sunday.

In an effort to deflect criticism away from Harris, Axios ran an article insisting that Harris “never actually had” the title of “border czar.”

However, Axios itself dubbed Harris the “border czar” in an April 2021 article.

Ironically, both articles were written by the same Axios reporter, Stef Kight.

“The number of unaccompanied minors crossing the border has reached crisis levels,” Kight wrote in 2021. “Harris, appointed by Biden as border czar, said she would be looking at the ‘root causes’ that drive migration.”

After being called out, Axios issued an editor’s note on Kight’s recent story, claiming, “Axios was among the news outlets that incorrectly labeled Harris a ‘border czar’ back in 2021.”

Axios isn’t the only publication that ran to Harris’s defense.

Time also published a piece Tuesday headlined, “Kamala Harris Was Never Biden’s ‘Border Czar.’ Here’s What She Really Did.” The piece insisted that “Harris was never put in charge of the border or immigration policy.”

And USA Today published a “fact check” saying, “Harris’s border work was on ‘root causes’ of migration: she wasn’t in charge.”

Contemporaneous records indicate that Harris initially was put in charge of handling the border situation, but openly dismissed the assignment, even laughing when asked about it.

Her press secretary at the time, Symone Sanders, explained, “I will just reiterate that the vice president is not doing the border.”

Afterward, the two appeared to have reached a compromise by narrowing the scope of her duties to addressing the “root causes” of the crisis in the Northern Triangle countries, although Harris exhibited little interest in tackling that issue with any determination either.

An estimated 12 million illegals have entered the country under Biden’s and Harris’s watch—a point her opponent, former President Donald Trump, has been sure to make.

“Harris was appointed ‘border czar’ in March of 2021, and since that time, millions and millions of illegal aliens have invaded our country and countless Americans have been killed by migrant crime because of her willful demolition of America borders and laws,” Trump said on Tuesday, and reiterated the point again during a rally Wednesday in Charlotte, N.C.

‘Squad’ Reps. Blast Colleagues for ‘Celebrating’ ‘War Criminal’ Netanyahu

(Headline USA) Leftist “Squad” representatives blasted their colleagues ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address on Wednesday, accusing Congress of “celebrating” a “genocide” by inviting him to speak.

“By bestowing Prime Minister Netanyahu with a joint address, Congress is not only continuing to green-light genocide; it is actively celebrating the man at the forefront of that genocide,” Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., said in a statement.

She urged her fellow lawmakers to join her in boycotting “war criminal” Netanyahu’s address and “join us in the fight for a just and lasting peace that protects the right to self-determination for Palestinians and Israelis alike.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who was censured by the House last year for anti-Semitic rhetoric, similarly blasted the event, arguing that it was “utterly disgraceful that leaders from both parties” invited Netanyahu to speak.

“Make no mistake: this event is a celebration of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians,” Tlaib said. “It is a sad day for our democracy when my colleagues will smile for a photo op with a man who is actively committing genocide.”

Unlike Bush, Tlaib did attend Netanyahu’s speech on Wednesday, but held up a double-sided sign that read “War Criminal” and “Guilty of Genocide” throughout his address.

She also refused to stand as Netanyahu entered the room and did not join in with applause from other lawmakers.

Tlaib’s protest comes after House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., threatened to have Capitol Police officers arrest anyone who interrupted Netanyahu’s address.

Outside the Capitol building, while Netanyahu was speaking, the “Squad’s” allies staged a protest near Union Station, where they burned the American flag and an image of Netanyahu.

Left-wing activists also reportedly broke into the hotel where Netanyahu and his Israeli delegation were staying and dumped maggots in their conference room.

REPORT: Border Agents Told to Clean Up Immigrant Mess Before Kamala’s Only Visit

(Headline USA) Border agents were told to clear illegal immigrants and clean up trash along a section of the southern border during Vice President Kamala Harris’s one and only trip to the region, according to the New York Post.

Harris was tasked by President Joe Biden with overseeing the border crisis in 2021, and quickly came under fire from Republicans for her inept handling of the crisis and her refusal to even visit affected parts of the country.

Harris finally went to El Paso Sector on June 25, 2021, along with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and several Democratic members of Congress.

Before her arrival, agents on the ground were told to start moving immigrants out of holding facilities to downplay the severity of the crisis for the cameras.

“They rented out a ton of hotels and we spent hours moving out bodies. The kids that remained, we had to braid their hair,” one agent said, adding that the agents “made jokes about how the building was more secure than the whole border was.”

Agents were even tasked with cleaning up the nearby city.

“They did a cleanup on the streets from all the people that they were releasing that were staying on the streets of downtown,” a second agent said.

When Harris arrived, she “had zero interest in really seeing anything,” said another former Border Patrol official who was present during Harris’s trip.

“It was rushed,” the official added.

Millions of illegal immigrants have crossed into the country through the El Paso Sector since Harris’s visit. She has not returned to the southern border since.

Former President Donald Trump slammed Harris over her immigration record this week.

“She visited the border a single time, far away from the epicenter of the invasion,” he noted.

“You don’t even call it a visit,” he added. “She went to a place that has no problem, and was there for a very short period of time. So essentially, she never visited the border as we know it.”

BLM Slams Democratic Party for ‘Installing’ Kamala

(Headline USA) Black Lives Matter slammed the Democratic Party this week for “installing” Vice President Kamala Harris as its next presidential candidate after President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid.

Though Harris has not yet been formally nominated by the Democratic Party, her campaign revealed she has secured enough support from Democratic National Convention delegates to be the presumed nominee.

Party elites are hoping to use recently approved bylaws that it passed for Biden to block an open-floor convention battle by stealthily nominating her virtually by Aug. 7.

However, BLM argued that this backroom dealing was a threat to democracy.

“While Joe Biden wasn’t our preferred candidate, we cannot ignore the troubling actions of the Democratic Party,” BLM said in a lengthy statement, according to the Washington Times.

The leftist organization pointed out that Democrats not only concealed “the decline of Joe Biden in 2023,” but “made it almost impossible for non-Biden candidates to appear on the ballot” during the primary election.

Now, the same Democratic leaders have coronated Harris without voter input, the group said.

“A 24-hour process of talking to party bosses is not democratic, nor is it a process Democrats should be proud of,” BLM said. “We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs.”

BLM specifically took issue with Democrats’ efforts to sell Harris to black voters as the next Barack Obama.

“Democratic Party elites and billionaire donors are attempting to manipulate [b]lack voters by anointing Kamala Harris and an unknown vice president as the new Democratic ticket without a primary vote by the public,” said the statement.

“This blatant disregard for democratic principles is unacceptable,” it added. “While the potential outcome of a Harris presidency may be historic, the process to achieve it must align with true democratic values.”

Democrats should instead hold a “transparent and fair virtual snap primary” before the convention next month to ensure voters have a say, the group added.

“This is not just about Biden or Harris; it is about demanding a political system that genuinely represents us and upholds democracy,” BLM said.

Harris Campaign Accuses Trump of Trying to ‘Steal Election’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On July 23, 2024, Kamala Harris‘s campaign promoted the idea that Donald Trump wants to steal the 2024 election, a supposed conspiracy theory that could’ve resulted in someone being fired, de-platformed or shunned right after the 2020 election.

The Daily Wire reported that Harris’s campaign lied in response to the Trump campaign’s filing a complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing Harris and Joe Biden of violating campaign finance laws by transferring Biden’s campaign funds to Harris.

“Kamala Harris is seeking to perpetrate a $91.5 million heist of Joe Biden’s leftover campaign cash — a brazen money grab that would constitute the single largest excessive contribution and biggest violation in the history of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended,” Trump Campaign attorney David Warrington wrote in the complaint.

Warrington added that Biden and Harris were “flagrantly violating the Act by making and receiving an excessive contribution of nearly one hundred million dollars, and for filing fraudulent forms with the Commission purporting to repurpose one candidate’s principal campaign committee for the use of another candidate.”

The filing came right after Harris launched her campaign on July 21, 2024, when Biden ended his failing reelection campaign. “Coincidentally,” Harris effectively secured her party’s nomination within 24 hours of announcing. Additionally, Democrat voters donated $231 million to efforts backing her campaign.

Harris campaign spokesman Charles Lutvak claimed that the complaint was “baseless” and that it was a part of Republicans’ strategy to “steal elections.”

“Republicans may be jealous that Democrats are energized to defeat Donald Trump and his MAGA allies, but baseless legal claims — like the ones they’ve made for years to try to suppress votes and steal elections — will only distract them while we sign up volunteers, talk to voters and win this election,” he said.

Warrington also sought a criminal referral for the campaign’s treasurer, who he said was committing “fraud” by using FEC forms to “rename and repurpose” the committee, adding that Harris was “in the process of committing the largest campaign finance violation in American history and she is using the Commission’s own forms to do it.”

CNN Gets Extra Cringey Analyzing Kamala’s Attempt to Be Hip

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Leftist media undertook a pitiful attempt to make Vice President Kamala Harris seem hip after Democrat party elites decided to anoint her their 2024 presidential nominee, Twitchy reported.

In order to make the wooden and frequently pedantic Harris seem more appealing to Gen-Z voters, her campaign recently arranged a cross-promotional marketing tie-in with British pop singer Charli XCX.

A post on X alluding to her recent hit song referred to Harris as “Brat” generated buzz on social-media, according to the once-edgy Rolling Stone, which has drastically pivoted from a countercultural institution to leading propaganda mouthpiece for the leftist establishment.

“Vice President Kamala Harris’ declaration that she’s in it to win it on July 21 was met by tons of mostly positive reactions from musicians and celebrities who want to see her beat Donald Trump in November,” beamed the fanzine. “But none hit with quite the culture-shaking force of three words from Charli XCX.”

However, the magazine’s latest breakdown of the “Brat Summer” was nowhere near as cringey as the awkward attempt on Monday that a CNN panel made to explain it to their low-info and decidedly unhip audience.

In a segment of The Lead, host Jake Tapper introduced CNN’s “Gen Z Correspondent,” to explain the meaning of Brat as “just that girl who’s a little messy and likes to party, and maybe says some dumb things sometimes.”

Other panelists nodded approvingly at the Harris campaign’s strategy for reaching younger voters—and perhaps shoring up her support in the LGBT community, where Charli XCX has a cult-like following.

According to Tapper, someone “very clever” on the Harris campaign was “going right for them in a language of their own.”

However, several Twitter users criticized the corporate media network. One called it “sad to watch,” while another suggested that it was the “funniest news clip I have ever seen.”

This is not the first time that Harris has embarrassed herself trying to appear to be one of the people.

Last month, she appeared in a humiliating cameo dismissing half the nation as extremists after BET Awards host Taraji Henson questioned her about the upcoming election.

“Yeah, girl I’m out here in these streets, and let me tell you, there is so much at stake in this moment,” Harris said.

“The majority of us believe in freedom and equality,” she continued. “But these extremists, as they say— they [sic] ‘not like us.'”

House Rep. Proposes Impeaching Failed ‘Border Czar’ Kamala

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) On July 23, 2024, Rep. Anthony Ogles, R-Tenn., introduced articles of impeachment against Kamala Harris, who is now running for the presidency after Joe Biden suddenly ended his re-election campaign and endorsed Harris as his successor.

On Twitter, Politico’s Olivia Beavers posted screenshots of the resolution accusing Harris of “high crimes and misdemeanors” related to her as “border czar” allowing illegal aliens to invade the United States and misleading the American people about Biden’s physical and cognitive health.

“Time and again, Kamala Harris has refused to uphold her oath to the U.S. Constitution, and she must be impeached. Her breathtaking incompetence as Border Czar has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape, and murder to flood the streets of America,” Ogles said, according to the Daily Wire.

He then said that Harris “knowingly breached the public’s trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president” and declared that “immediate action must be taken.”

The 81-year-old Biden dropped out of the race over the weekend. The Democrats had been pressuring him to leave the race after a disastrous debate performance late last month, which resulted in people questioning his mental acuity and electability. Almost right after leaving the race, Biden endorsed Harris for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.

Harris was able to gather the support of enough delegates to win the nomination. However, the process remains open, and another challenger could be elected before voting begins.

Harris’s campaign boasted a significant fundraising haul in the first 24 hours. She is currently seeking a running mate.

Ogles, who is facing a Republican primary in his state’s 5th Congressional District on Aug. 1, 2024, and has been endorsed by Donald Trump, also introduced articles of impeachment against Biden and Harris last year.

FTC Orders 8 Companies to Provide Information on ‘Surveillance Pricing’

(Headline USA) The Federal Trade Commission has ordered information from eight companies that the agency says offer products and services that use personal data to set prices based on a shopper’s individual characteristics.

In a Tuesday announcement, the FTC said it was seeking to better understand the “opaque market” of “surveillance pricing” practices using consumer data—including credit information, location and browsing history—to charge different customers different prices for the same goods.

To do this, the agency noted, third-party intermediaries claim to use advanced algorithms, artificial intelligence and other technology.

“Firms that harvest Americans’ personal data can put people’s privacy at risk. Now firms could be exploiting this vast trove of personal information to charge people higher prices,” FTC Chair Lina M. Khan said in a prepared statement.

Khan added that the FTC’s inquiry “will shed light on this shadowy ecosystem of pricing middlemen.”

The FTC said it sent orders to Mastercard, Revionics, Bloomreach, JPMorgan Chase, Task Software, PROS, Accenture and McKinsey & Co.

The agency says its “study” will aim to understand how surveillance pricing works and investigate potential impacts on privacy and consumer protection.

The orders requested information on the “types of surveillance pricing” that each company has produced, developed or licensed—as well as details on data collection methods, which customers were offered such products or services and other potential impacts, such as different prices paid, the FTC said.

In a statement sent to the Associated Press Tuesday, Revionics said that it “does not develop software that recommends pricing targeted to specific individuals”—or use individual consumer data “in any manner.”

The software company said its AI price optimization software considers several “market-level factors” to recommend optimal prices, such as historical sales data.

Revionics added that its data is often sourced from retail partners—reiterating that it “does not, in any way, conduct operations related to the surveillance of consumers.”

Mastercard did not comment when reached by the AP Tuesday afternoon, but confirmed that it received the FTC’s request and would cooperate in the process. The remaining companies did not immediately release additional statements.

Ex-Jimmy Carter Adviser, Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Disbarred over Child-Porn Trove

(Headline USA) A wealthy attorney who came close to being elected governor has been disbarred following the completion of his sentence for possessing thousands of images of child sexual abuse, officials said.

A judge on Monday signed off on the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar recommendation that 77-year-old Eliot Cutler should no longer practice law.

Cutler did not oppose the board’s decision, which was made months ago. He was previously disbarred in New York.

The criminal case marked a dramatic fall for Cutler, who launched a Washington-based environmental law firm after serving as an aide to Sen. Edmund Muskie and as the top energy and environmental adviser to President Jimmy Carter.

Running as an independent for governor, Cutler narrowly lost—by less than 2 percentage points—to Republican Paul LePage in 2010 and then lost again by a wider margin in 2014.

Cutler was sentenced under a plea agreement in which he received a four-year term but was required to serve only nine months. He received time off for good behavior and was released earlier this year.

Netanyahu Slams ‘Useful Idiot’ Protesters, Reiterates Israeli Resolve for ‘Total Victory’ to Congress

(Headline USA) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and pushed back on protesters in a rousing speech to Congress Wednesday that many pro-Hamas Democrats boycotted.

Thousands gathered outside the U.S. Capitol, despite earlier warnings from House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., that anyone creating a disturbance during the visit would be arrested.

Capitol Police said about 200 people were arrested Tuesday on charges stemming from a sit-in at the Cannon office building.

Inside, Netanyahu received a warm welcome from Johnson and other Republican lawmakers who arranged his speech in the House chamber, as well as a bipartisan standing ovation before speaking.

He pledged to press on with the war until “total victory,” dispelling any delusions on the Left that recent campus riots, hunger strikes and other acts of social unrest might sway his resolve to assure Israeli sovereignty and security following the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre that left some 1,200 dead and resulted in more than 200 people taken hostage, some of whom remain in captivity.

Netanyahu called protesters “useful idiots” for Israel’s adversaries. He accused them of standing with the militants who beheaded babies, raped corpses and committed other war crimes.

“These protesters that stand with them, they should be ashamed of themselves,” he said.

Speaking to applause from U.S. lawmakers, and stony silence from others, Netanyahu sought to bolster U.S. support for his country’s fight against Hamas and other Iran-backed armed groups.

“America and Israel must stand together. When we stand together something really simple happens: We win, they lose,” said Netanyahu, who wore a yellow pin expressing solidarity with the Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

Freed former hostages of Hamas and families of hostages listened in the House chamber. Lawmakers of both parties rose to applaud the Israeli leader in milder moments in the speech. Security escorted out protesters in the gallery who rose to display T-shirts with slogans demanding that leaders close a deal ending the conflict and freeing hostages.

Despite having had a notoriously tumultuous relationship with President Joe Biden Netanyahu started his remarks with praise of the lame-duck leader. But he quickly turned to lavishing praise on former president and current presidential contender Donald Trump “for all he’s done for Israel.”

Netanyahu aimed to portray himself as a statesman respected by Israel’s most important ally—a task complicated by the Left’s recent decision to turn its back on the Middle East’s lone democracy as Democrats desperately court Muslim votes in battleground states like Michigan and Minnesota.

The appearance made him the first foreign leader to address a joint meeting of Congress four times, surpassing Winston Churchill.

Many Democrats attended the address despite their criticism of Netanyahu, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who was criticized for meddling in Israel’s domestic affairs in March after he said the conservative Netanyahu had “lost his way” and called for new elections during a floor speech.

However, more than 50 Democrats—as well as Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders—boycotted the speech. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Michigan Democrat who has been censured for making anti-Semitic statements in the past, sat in the House chamber with a keffiyeh.

The most notable absence was right behind him: Vice President Kamala Harris, who serves as president of the Senate and was newly annointed by Democrats as their presidential candidate this week, opted instead to attend a sorority party in Indiana.

The next Democrat in line, Sen. Patty Murray of Washington, declined to attend, so Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland, the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, served as “senator pro tempore” in place of her.

Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Biden and Harris on Thursday, and with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Friday.

Netanyahu has said his aims for the U.S. visit are to press for freeing hostages held by Hamas and other militants in Gaza, to build support for continuing Israel’s battle against the group, and to argue for continuing to confront Hezbollah in Lebanon and other Iranian-allied groups in the region.

Netanyahu used an appearance early Wednesday to focus on Iran, its nuclear program and its network of armed allies. Iran is “behind the entire axis of terror” that threatens the U.S. and Israel, he said, speaking at a memorial for the late Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.
