MURDOCK: GOP’s Post-‘Roe’ Victory Dies in Its Infancy Due to Mixed Messaging

0

(Deroy Murdock, Headline USA) Here is the Republican message on abortion:

“Gthywd frwemkop nasedty deeertyp dhrgt, jtypyu aslpomcert bdhgtyog.”

Why aren’t voters lapping this up?

The GOP’s post-Roe v. Wade incoherence triggered losses in Nov. 7’s off-year elections.

Democrats’ crystal-clear battle cry—“Abortion!”—electrified their voters. Like North Korean soldiers, they marched lockstep to the polls.

Thus, Republican aspirations to win back Kentucky’s governorship floundered.

Despite Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s plan to secure the state legislature, Republicans failed to gain its Senate or hold its House.

Youngkin’s embrace of Democrat-style early voting flopped. This confirms that Republicans should scuttle this and other COVID-era Democrat vote-rigging schemes, not surrender to them.

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves survived a challenge from Elvis Presley’s distant cousin, but with 52.3%, while President Donald J. Trump won the Magnolia State by 57.6% in 2020.

GOP school-board results were mixed, at best.

With Democrat policies imploding and Joe Biden sinking rapidly, Republicans should have romped. Instead, abortion-loving Democrats pummeled them at the polls.

Republicans might have prospered had they offered clarity on America’s most controversial issue. They could have advocated:

  • Streamlining adoption.
  • Making childbearing more affordable for the 40% of women who abort their babies for financial reasons.
  • Supporting crisis pregnancy centers.
  • Condemnation of extremist House Democrats’ near-unanimous vote to let babies die, if they happen to survive abortion. (This happens.)

Instead: Babble.

The GOP dog finally caught the car. Alas, its lips are locked on a blistering tailpipe, with no exit strategy.

How infuriating.

For 49 years, Republicans correctly denounced Roe v. Wade. Last year’s Dobbs v. Jackson answered their prayers.

But then, despite a half century to decide what to say post-Roe, the GOP response made a whoopee cushion sound eloquent.

Republicans previously cheered: Get abortion out of Washington. Let the states decide. And they have.

Florida, Idaho, Texas and other states tightened abortion restrictions. Colorado, Michigan, and (on Nov. 7) Ohio are among those that loosened abortion rules.

Republicans got what they wanted and should be thrilled. Abortion policy increasingly looks like America: Conservative states curb abortions. Liberal states celebrate them. Want an abortion? In Alabama, good luck! In Oregon, step right up!

Love it or hate it, this was the gorgeous mosaic that Republicans promised. Now, they behave as if they never really meant it.

Federal bans? What happened to letting 50 abortion policies bloom?

“I believe…states should decide the issue of abortion,” said none other than Lindsey Graham on Aug. 7, 2022.

Republican support for Washington-based abortion injunctions is the biggest bait-and-switch in recent political history.

If Republicans wanted a post-Roe federal abortion blockade, they should have promoted one. If that were the right policy, Republicans should have run on it. And—who knows?— they might have won on it.

Instead, from 1973 to 2022, they explained that letting states choose was the federalist, conservative and Republican thing to do.

Republicans now tell the American people that they lied: Wisdom, truth and beauty on abortion rest on the north bank of the Potomac.

Renouncing such a cornerstone principle after preaching it for decades would be like today’s GOP endorsing an across-the-board tax increase.

This is as jarring as President Abraham Lincoln announcing in 1861 that, upon reflection, the Grand Old Party suddenly wanted states to craft their own slavery laws.

“A house united within itself cannot stand,” Lincoln might have declared, plunging jaws from Buffalo to Birmingham.

Republicans spent 49 years making the “Let the states decide” bed. Now, they need to lie in it for more than 49 weeks.

Texas House Republicans Join Democrats to Kill School Choice

(Bethany Blakely, The Center Square) – After multiple groups lauded an omnibus education bill that passed a House committee, including a school choice measure, several House members on late Friday stripped it from the bill. Twenty-one Republicans joined Democrats to do so.

Rep. John Raney, R-College Station, filed an amendment to remove the school choice provision from the bill, which would have created Texas’ first Education Savings Account. The House voted 84-63 to pass Raney’s amendment, effectively killing school choice.

“I believe in my heart that using taxpayer dollars to fund an entitlement program is not conservative and is bad public policy, period,” Raney said on the floor.

During a heated exchange with other members, an outcry broke out in the chamber, with people jeering and shouting. House Speaker Dade Phelan, R-Beaumont, struck his gavel and threatened to clear the room if order wasn’t restored.

Rep. Brad Buckley, R-Killeen, who authored the bill, said he would send it back to committee. It’s unclear if it will go anywhere.

This is the fourth special session Gov. Greg Abbott has called specifically to pass school choice after the Senate previously passed education bills. It ends the first week in December. He has said he will keep calling a special legislative session until the legislature passes a school choice bill.

“I will continue advancing school choice in the Texas Legislature and at the ballot box, and will maintain the fight for parent empowerment until all parents can choose the best education path for their child,” Gov. Abbott told the Austin American-Statesman. “I am in it to win it.”

“The small minority of pro-union Republicans in the Texas House who voted with the Democrats will not derail the outcome that their voters demand,” he added.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued a statement saying, “the Texas Senate has led on school choice since I became Lieutenant governor. The Senate has passed school choice in 2015, 2017 and four times this year. I am stunned that 21 House Republicans will continue to fight against parents and denied them the right to choose a school they think is best for their child. These members apparently think their own view is more important than the views of their voters of which over 80% of Republicans support school choice along with the majority of independents and many Democrats.”

Phelan has yet to issue a statement on what transpired.

Austin Democrat James Talarico said, “We did it. We just defeated Greg Abbott’s voucher scam. The People’s House has spoken. I’m so proud of the bipartisan coalition in the Texas House that defended our schools and our kids.”

In addition to including a school choice measure, the bill expanded funding for teacher salaries and public schools, expanded the size of the TEA and failed virtual learning programs. It also created a virtual reality metaverse program whereby students could learn as avatars. Several of the measures were highly criticized over concerns about more money being poured into programs without accountability for improved educational outcomes.

The 21 Republicans who voted with Democrats to kill school choice, according to the unofficial vote count, include: Allison; Bailes; Bell; K.; Burns; Clardy; Darby; Dean; Geren; Holland; Kuempel; Lambert; Murr; Price; Raney; Rogers; Shine; Smith; Thompson, F; and Vandeaver.

Library Includes Kids Book about Black, Homosexual Santa for Christmas

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was discovered that a library in Chicago’s suburbs has marked the Christmas season with “books that also introduce homosexual sex to children,” among which was the book about a black Santa Claus and his “husband.”

The book is called Santa’s Husband and it offers a “fresh twist on Kris Kringle, a clever yet heartfelt book that tells the story of a black Santa, his white husband, and their life in the North Pole,” according to American Greatness.

“Everyone knows that Santa Claus is jolly, but in Santa’s Husband, this cherished symbol of the holiday season is also black and gay and married to an equally cheery man,” a publisher’s description of the book said.

The book about Santa was written by author Daniel Kibblesmith, an Oak Park native.

“We see the Clauses sitting by the fire at their cozy North Pole home, vacationing at the beach, having an occasional disagreement, celebrating their (gay) wedding day, and comforting each other when some loudmouth people on television angrily dispute Santa’s appearance and (gay) lifestyle,” the description added.

As expected, a person who would write such a book is a former writer for BuzzFeed and a writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, who is well-known for his far-left takes and Trump Derangement Syndrome. Kibblesmith also wrote for Netflix, while also contributing to Marvel Entertainment, which is owned by Disney, as a comic book writer.

“We decided that our future child will only know about Black Santa. If they see a white one we’ll say ‘That’s his husband,'” he told Paste.

Back when the book was released, the Arizona-based group, R.E.A.D.S. [Rainbow. Educated. And. Diversified. Students] celebrated the publishing of the book on Twitter.

“Amazing twist on the holiday story, a must-read, author Daniel Kibblesmith and illustrator A.P. Quach published Santa’s Husband, a children’s book chronicling the life of a black, gay Santa Claus and his partner, Mr. Claus,” the group wrote.

Biden Thinks Americans Who Barely Make Ends Meet Are Disconnected from Reality

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) During his recent speech, Joe Biden gaslighted Americans who are unhappy with the economy by saying that they are experiencing a “disconnect” with reality.

On Thursday, Biden gave a speech at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, during which he mentioned a variety of economic statistics before saying that the American people who are concerned about the economy feel a “disconnect” between the “numbers and how people feel about their place in the world right now,” the Daily Fetched reported.

Even though Biden previously said that his “Bidenomics” is a success, the reality seems to be different, with 61% of Americans struggling and 75% of U.S. adults thinking the economy is in a “fair” or “poor” state.

“The last quarter, the American economy grew 4.9%. The highest growth rate in two years. More people in the United States are in the workforce today than at any time in American history. Unemployment has been under 4% for 21 straight months,” Biden said during his speech.

He then continued lying by saying that the inflation is coming down.

“Inflation has come down by 65%, and more to do. I mean, we know have the lowest inflation — the lowest inflation rate of any advanced economy in the world. Meanwhile, median household wealth has grown by 37% in real terms since before the pandemic,” he said.

While 16% of Americans believe the economy is getting better, 56% of U.S. adults say the economy is getting worse, a September YouGov Poll revealed.

“I acknowledge there’s a disconnect between the numbers, and how people feel about their place in the world right now. We can deal with the second part as well. We still have work to do,” Biden said.

The news source additionally reported that Democrats started distancing themselves from the word “Bidenomics” because it became synonymous with inflation, unemployment and soaring gas prices.

#FAFO Father Releases NRA Ad as California Targets His 2A Rights

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) In a gripping response to the suspension of his concealed carry license by California authorities, Vince Ricci, a Los Angeles entrepreneur and father, has released a powerful ad alongside the NRA decrying what he perceives as an infringement on his Second Amendment rights.

Ricci, hailed as a hero after thwarting two potential home intruders by firing his weapon, gained nationwide attention when security footage captured the intense moment he defended his family.

However, his actions, despite being praised by many, were met with the disturbing suspension of his concealed carry license by local authorities.

“After successfully defending my home and my family and my five-month-old child, California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment,” Ricci lamented in the heartfelt video released on Thursday.

The entrepreneur detailed the aftermath of the incident, recounting a call from a sheriff notifying him of the license suspension, allegedly citing his behavior as a reason. As told to Fox News, Ricci said he was informed that his permit was suspended because he was “yelling” at officers, following his criticism of the LAPD’s handling of the situation.

Ricci didn’t mince words in his remarks, criticizing law enforcement for what he deemed as “sloppy police work” due to the alleged failure to collect casings scattered in his parking lot as potential evidence.

Recalling the harrowing experience in the ad, Ricci vividly described the intrusion.

“It was a quiet evening, as I was coming home from the gym, two armed men masked hooped over the wall, ran down on me with guns and the most terrifying part was my wife and my 5-month-old baby were on the other side of the door,” he said, emphasizing his decision to wield his firearm as a means of safeguarding his family.

“My situation is unique because it happened at my front door, all on camera,” he added. “But this happens time and time again all over the country…”

He continued by addressing what he perceives as a political neglect of such incidents, “People sweep it under the rug because it doesn’t behoove their political agenda. The fact is, evil will always exist.”

Calif. Bio-Lab Owner Connected to China Military

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed by U.S. House investigators that the owner of the Chinese bio-lab that was recently discovered near Fresno, Calif., is connected to China’s Communist Party [CCP] and its military.

In October 2023, Jia Bei Zhu, 62, was arrested after law enforcement discovered his bio lab by chance in September of the same year when a local code enforcement officer noticed a garden hose attached to the facility, Slay News reported.

It was later discovered that the hose for the building, which was listed as empty, was a minor code violation.

When police discovered the lab, they saw that it was filled with biological weapons and thousands of vials believed to be experimental viruses, among which was COVID-19. Some of the vials were labeled in Mandarin, while others showed an undeciphered code.

“Nothing to see here… Just an illegal Chinese biolab hidden inside a nondescript warehouse in California,” Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA wrote back when the news broke out.

The news source wrote that Zhu was arrested for distributing misbranded medical devices and lying to the FDA.

The House Select Subcommittee on the Chinese Communist Party currently investigates the existence of the lab found on U.S. soil.

It was also reported that Zhu, a citizen of Communist China, was a key figure in the Chinese “military-civil fusion organizations.”

Zhu was also extensively involved in several CCP-controlled companies, as the committee discovered. He was also connected to the unlicensed lab in Reedley, Calif., where dangerous materials were discovered.

In addition to that, Zhu had a history of operating companies in Canada and engaging in the massive theft of American cattle-related intellectual property.

The news source added that Zhu also fled to the U.S. after a $330 million court judgment.

Zhu’s inflammatory private messages on WeChat were also highlighted by the committee. The messages revealed that Zhu wanted to defeat “the American aggressor” and saw his companies as tools against “American imperialism.”

Biden Lawyers Accidentally Admit Pelosi’s Impeachments Were Illegitimate

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The White House found itself inadvertently reinforcing assertions that the impeachments spearheaded by Nancy Pelosi against former President Donald Trump skipped legal processes, as revealed in a recent exchange over the current impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

White House special counsel Dick Sauber raised eyebrows when issuing a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio. In the letter, Sauber accused the past impeachment proceedings of being illegal due to the absence of a House vote.

“In fact, both of you previously supported the position that moving forward with an impeachment inquiry without a vote of the House ‘represents an abuse of power and brings discredit to the House of Representatives,’” Sauber’s letter stated, according to a media report.

Sauber further referenced a 2019 resolution condemning Pelosi’s initiation of an impeachment inquiry against Trump over a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, indicating a lack of House authorization for the process.

The recent clash arises as Biden faces an impeachment inquiry, alleged to involve bribery, political corruption and influence peddling. The Biden legal team’s arguments inadvertently echo the objections raised by Republicans during the Pelosi-led impeachments against Trump.

During the 2019 impeachment proceedings, then-White House lawyer Pat Cipollone contested the legitimacy of the inquiry.

“In the history of our Nation, the House of Representatives has never attempted to launch an impeachment inquiry against the President without a majority of the House taking political accountability for that decision by voting to authorize such a dramatic constitutional step,” Cipollone said on Oct. 9.

House Republicans have consistently pointed to the precedent set by Pelosi’s unilateral decision to begin the Trump impeachments as enough justification for their ongoing impeachment against scandal-ridden Biden.

“Nancy Pelosi changed the precedent of this House on September 24th. … Why would it have to be different today?” former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said in September, when the Biden impeachment was just launched.

Pelosi had defended her unilateral decision to initiate Trump’s impeachment by asserting the convening of six investigative committees to find evidence. Nevertheless, Pelosi never held a vote to initiate the impeachment against Trump. Instead, the vote was held after the probe was launched.

Trump Shares Heartbreaking Message During Sister’s Funeral

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump honored his late sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, during her funeral by sharing a heartfelt message on Truth Social.

The occasion was marked by Trump’s condemnation of the vitriolic attacks from the left aimed at his sister, emphasizing her esteemed career as a federal judge until her retirement in 2021.

In a poignant statement posted on Friday, Trump expressed his sentiments: “Funeral Now. I Love Maryanne. God Bless You. Rest In Peace!” This message echoed his earlier tribute to his sister just three days before, referring to her as a “truly beautiful woman.”

Specifically, on Nov. 14, Trump elaborated on Barry’s remarkable life, highlighting her tenure as a federal judge.

“My great sister, Maryanne, passed away yesterday at the age of 86. A truly beautiful woman, tall and elegant, with a presence like no other, she was also a tremendous student, intellect, and Judge, in charge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, just below the U.S. Supreme Court,” Trump said.

“Her life was largely problem free, PERFECT, until I made it difficult for her when I decided to run for President. The Fake News, and others, went after her mercilessly, and because of the fact that she felt it inappropriate, due to her position, to defend herself, it just never stopped!” he lamented.

In the same post, Trump pointedly accused the left of subjecting his sister to sustained bullying after his victory in the 2016 election.

“While tough and strong, she was made to suffer in those years from 2016 until her Retirement. I will never forget the many times people would come up to me and say, ‘Your sister was the smartest person on the Court,’” Trump recalled.

The passing of Barry triggered a wave of disturbing comments on Twitter, particularly on anti-Trump accounts. Some users weaponized the passing to spew disparaging remarks, with one user, “KathyHutso1,” suggesting, “She probably died of embarrassment.”

Another individual expressed his desire of Trump’s passing, claiming, “The next to last trump from that generation. Let’s hope the family will be completely reunited soon.”

Barry’s funeral was held at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City, where Trump, accompanied by his children Don. Jr., Ivanka and Eric, bid a final farewell to the beloved sister and aunt.

Jesus Christ’s Birthplace Authorities Cancel Christmas to Honor Hamas Terrorists

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The authorities of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, announced that they would strip all Christmas decorations to “honor” Hamas terrorists.

“Bethlehem Municipality crews announced the dismantling of Christmas decorations installed several years ago in the city’s neighborhoods and removing all festive appearances in honor of the martyrs and solidarity with our people in Gaza,” the municipality wrote on Facebook.

According to the official version of why the Christmas decorations were removed, the reason was “sad, angry and upset” Palestinians, Breitbart reported.

“The reason is the general situation in Palestine. People are not really into any celebration. They are sad, angry and upset. Our people in Gaza are being massacred and killed in cold blood. Therefore, it is not appropriate at all to have such festivities while there is a massacre happening in Gaza and attacks in the West Bank,” a spokesman said.

The spokesman then continued justifying the promotion of a terrorist group.

“This year, the situation in Bethlehem is unprecedented and the mood and vibes are extremely sad, and that is exactly what the world should see and realize that these are not normal circumstances. Bethlehem should send out its own message of condolence and mourning,” he said.

It was also reported that some prayers and religious ceremonies will still be allowed to take place. However, the traditional Christmas tree and festive decorations in Manger Square, which has seen Christmas decorations ever since modern celebrations of the season began, have been cleared, the news source wrote.

The incident was not the first time Bethlehem has been used as a site of protest at Christmas. The Palestinian Authority responded to Donald Trump’s official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel with fiery denunciations and turning off the lights on Christmas trees in 2017.

Even though the birthtown of Jesus Christ has a population of only around 25,000 people, Bethlehem attracts thousands of tourists all across the world in the run-up to Christmas, among whom are Christians who go on a pilgrimage to Manger Square.

U.S. Army Removes COVID-19 Vax Mandate Before WWIII

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was revealed the United States Army removed the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for recruits after the military branch has been acting like a Big Pharma tyrant since 2021 by purging those who refused to take the vaccine.

In addition to the medical tyranny, the Army’s recruitment has been hampered also by the woke atmosphere where “transgender” soldiers were given special privileges, Christian soldiers were persecuted, drag shows were hosted and white people were discriminated against based on their race, according to the Gateway Pundit.

On Aug. 24, 2021, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin mandated the experimental COVID-19 vaccine for all military personnel and thousands of other people who work for the Department of Defense.

The U.S. Army joined other military branches in March 2022 to purge the ranks of all vaccine dissenters, announcing the separation of three soldiers who refused to take the experimental jab, which was the first time in the history of the country when the military branch discharged soldiers over the mandate.

By July 2022, nearly 40,000 Army National Guard personnel who refused to take the experimental COVID-19 vaccine after the deadline were barred from participating in federal training and faced financial fines or possible expulsion.

It was also reported by the authorities from the National Guard that 14,000 of the more than 40,000 members of the Guard who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 have said that they have no plans to get vaccinated in the future.

Soldiers who refused to get vaccinated missed weekend drills and lost their competency, which led to their dismissal.

Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth issued a memorandum in February 2023 that rescinded all policies that were associated with the DOD COVID-19 vaccination mandate, which means that members who were discharged for refusing the vaccine can now rejoin the service.

However, it seems that the soldiers figured out for the first time that their government hates them and decided to not rejoin. Out of the 8,000 people who were discharged, only 43 have rejoined.

“Oh, how much the times have changed! The United States Army is now begging COVID-19 unvaccinated soldiers, who underwent involuntary discharge for their refusal to take the vaccine, to return to service and also permits them to correct their military records!” Igor Chudov wrote on his Substack.
