Homeowner Hailed as a Hero after Deterring Intruders w/ Firearm, Video Goes Viral

'There was nothing in my house that was worth dying for. But I was willing to die for my family...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Surveillance footage recently captured a gripping scene in a luxurious Los Angeles neighborhood, where a homeowner took action to avert a potentially dangerous home intrusion, ABC7 Eyewitness reported.

The footage depicted the homeowner, as he arrived at his residence around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, being unexpectedly approached by an individual dressed in black.

Startled by the sudden intrusion, the homeowner swiftly retaliated by throwing his cup and then firing his weapon, causing the trespasser to promptly flee the scene.

In an interview with ABC7, the homeowner shared his harrowing experience. “Out of nowhere I felt someone run up behind me, put something to my back, put a pistol to my back and somebody running up,” the man recounted.

“I guess they decided to try to come at me and come in the house but I have a 5-month-old baby and a wife and a nanny in the house and that wasn’t going to happen,” he added.

Demonstrating the extent of his determination to safeguard his loved ones, the homeowner expressed his willingness to die. “There was nothing in my house that was worth dying for. But I was willing to die for my family,” he emphasized.

The release of the video swiftly captured the attention of Twitter users, particularly among gun rights proponents, who lauded the homeowner as a hero.

“LA homeowner shoots his way out of armed home invasion,” one Twitter user applauded. “Had he not been armed these thugs would’ve been inside his home. This is why you’re not getting our guns!!”

Joining the chorus of support, the Twitter account Chicks on the Right reiterated the right to self-defense

“Everyone has the right to protect his/her family in exactly this manner,” they said. “Get armed, get protected, and screw any leftist who suggests you don’t have the right to do exactly what this guy did.”
