What War? Biden Invokes Wartime Powers to Fund Electric Heaters

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden has invoked a Cold War-era law to drive taxpayer’s dollars into the leftist production of electric heat pumps, aiming to steer Americans away from traditional gas-powered furnaces in their homes.

The White House, working with the Department of Energy, allocated $169 million across nine projects in 15 locations, specifically targeting the scaling up of electric heat pump manufacturing.

Employing the Defense Production Act of 1950, an action termed “historic” by the Biden administration, Fox News reported this multi-million-dollar investment as an extension of the administration’s far-left green agenda.

Defending this initiative, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and White House aide John Podesta jointly emphasized the urgency to fight what they called a climate change crisis.

“Today’s Defense Production Act funds for heat pump manufacturing show that President Biden is treating climate change as the crisis it is,” Podesta declared. “These awards will grow domestic manufacturing, create good-paying jobs, and boost American competitiveness in industries of the future.”

Granholm echoed Podesta’s sentiments, highlighting the potential, but not promised, economic benefits.

“Getting more American-made electric heat pumps on the market will help families and businesses save money with efficient heating and cooling technology,” Granholm claimed, adding that the so-called “historic” move would generate manufacturing jobs.

Ben Lieberman, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, slammed the new move, calling it “corporate welfare.”

“This is absolutely shameful corporate welfare. But we’re to believe that, because it’s for the sake of climate change, all is well. I think that’s ridiculous,” he said in response to the Biden announcement.

“Of all the Biden administration’s claimed climate emergency declarations, this may be the craziest of them all,” Lieberman added. “There is no shortage of heat pumps — it’s just that not every homeowner wants them. Consumers ought to decide for themselves. The government has no role in tilting the balance in favor of one energy source over another. That’s clearly what’s happening here.”

Notably, Biden’s National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi underscored the use of wartime powers to fuel the administration’s ambitious environmental agenda.

“The President is using his wartime emergency powers under the Defense Production Act to turbocharge U.S. manufacturing of clean technologies and strengthen our energy security,” Zaidi said.

“This acceleration of electric heat pump manufacturing also shows how President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is advancing American innovation, cutting energy bills for hardworking families, and tackling the climate crisis – a win, win for our economy, our workers, and our planet,” the aide added.

Nacho Wife! Biden Accuses Mexican President of Flirting w/ Jill

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s bilateral conference with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit took an unexpected turn when Biden made a bizarre comment during a press conference on Friday.

The incident occurred as Biden welcomed López Obrador, also known as “AMLO,” referring to an intimate dinner the night before. In what appeared to be a joke, Biden seemed to imply that the Mexican leader had captured the attention of First Lady Jill Biden.

“It’s good to see you again. We had dinner last night. I told you, you sat next to my wife — you were so captivating, I was worried she likes you more than she likes me now,” Biden told AMLO as the Mexican leader listened to a Spanish translation through an earpiece.

While the first lady was not present during the press conference, her penchant for comparing Hispanic individuals to food, notably “breakfast tacos,” was noted in the days before the conference.

“It has been 71 Taco Tuesdays since Jill Biden compared Latinos to breakfast tacos,” said Reagen Reese, a reporter at the Daily Caller on a Nov. 14 tweet.

The dinner in question took place in San Francisco amid discussions surrounding bilateral policy matters, particularly immigration, an issue that keeps on embroiling the White House in scathingly bipartisan criticism.

AMLO lauded Biden’s approach to immigration, labeling it “humane” and “extraordinary.”

“We wish to thank President Biden because he is the first president in recent times to be opening legal pathways for migration,” AMLO said, likely referring to former President Donald Trump.

“It’s a humane way to address the migratory phenomenon,” he added.

Meanwhile, tensions could simmer between the United States and Mexico following Trump’s renewed calls to hold the Central American country financially accountable for the completion of the southern border wall, should he be reelected in 2024.

Trump reiterated his proposal during an interview with the Spanish-language network Univision.

“I said Mexico is gonna pay for a piece of the border wall, because it also helps Mexico,” he declared. “I said, what I’ll do is I’ll put tariffs on the cars, or I’ll do something else. And they agreed that they would pay. They agreed that they would [give] us thousands of soldiers free of charge, which they did to protect our country while the wall was being built.”

CNN Stealth Edits Headline That Claimed Jewish Man Died After Falling

(Headline USA) Following harsh backlash, CNN stealth-edited a headline this week that originally said Paul Kessler, a Jewish man in California, died at a pro-Palestinian protest after he “fell and hit his dead.”

Police confirmed this week that Kessler, 65, was killed by a pro-Palestinian protester who struck him in the head.

The protester, 50-year-old Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji, was arrested on Thursday and charged with involuntary manslaughter and battery causing serious bodily harm.

CNN’s initial headline about the arrest read, “Arrest made in death of Jewish protester who fell and hit his head.”

Conservatives immediately blasted the network for its biased framing.

“There’s no fixing this. Either journalists are doing it on purpose or they’re too far gone to know the difference. Either way,” responded Omri Ceren, the national security advisor to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Fox News commentator Joe Concha wrote: “If Paul Kessler simply fell and hit his head, why would an arrest have to be made? Why was bail set at $1 million? This. Is. CNN.”

After the backlash, CNN edited the headline but failed to include an editor’s note explaining why it had been changed. The new headline reads, “Man arrested and charged in death of Jewish protester in California after confrontation over Israel-Hamas war.”

CNN is one of several left-wing outlets that has faced sharp scrutiny for its coverage of the Israeli–Gaza conflict. Last week, it was forced to part ways with a freelance photographer it had worked with after a report emerged revealing the photographer’s ties to Hamas leadership.

The photographer, Hassan Eslaiah, did freelance work for the Associated Press and New York Times as well. Video footage of the Oct. 7 terrorist attack showed him joining Hamas terrorists as they invaded southern Israel and attacked civilians.

“We are aware of the article and photo concerning Hassan Eslaiah, a freelance photojournalist who has worked with a number of international and Israeli outlets,” CNN said in a statement. “While we have not at this time found reason to doubt the journalistic accuracy of the work he has done for us, we have decided to suspend all ties with him.”

Dems Admit Leftist Pro-Hamas Riot at DNC HQ Was Worse Than J6

(Headline USA) Democratic congressional staffers admitted that a pro-Palestinian riot in front of the Democratic National Committee headquarters this week was more terrifying than the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The illegal and violent riot on Wednesday night resulted in several Capitol Police officers being injured, despite the fact that only one demonstrator had reportedly been arrested to date.

Reports from the incident revealed protesters pepper-sprayed and punched officers who were trying to prevent them from breaking into the DNC office, where several lawmakers were present.

One lawmaker inside the building admitted the riot “scared me more than Jan. 6,” according to Axios. “Police were wearing gas masks … This was not peaceful.”

Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., agreed, saying the situation “rattled me more than January 6th” did.

“I was scared,” she added. “Someone is going to get hurt at one of these things. They can get out of control.”

Several Democrats tried to talk down the protesters during the clash.

“To the protesters: PLEASE don’t do something irresponsible,” said Rep. Sean Casten, D-Ill., who was inside the DNC at the time of the riot.

The far-left activists responsible for the riot claimed they were forced to respond after “police violently attacked nonviolent anti-war activists.”

They also accused the Capitol Police of refusing to communicate with their police liaison.

“Hundreds of peaceful anti-war activists came to the DNC to call for an end to bombs and violence in order to save Palestinian and Israeli lives,” claimed Jewish Voice for Peace director Beth Miller. “They were met with brutal assaults by the police.”

The Democratic Socialists of America, who were also involved in planning the riot, warned that Democrats’ response to the confrontation could cost them leftist votes.

“The Democratic Party just showed exactly how it feels about its voters,” DSA-NYC member Sumaya Awad said in a statement.

Calif. Middle School Suspends Boy for ‘Blackface’ over Football Eye Black

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A Muirlands Middle School student who attended a football game while wearing eye black in October faced disciplinary action after the school accused him of wearing “blackface.”

Despite the fact that J.A.—identified by only his initials for privacy reasons—wore the exaggerated eye black, painted on by another student, for the entirety of the football game without incident, the school suspended him and banned him from attending future school-sponsored athletic events.

The school categorized the offense as an “offensive comment, intent to harm” in the “hate incidents” section of the disciplinary report.

Now his parents are pushing back with the help of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, a nonpartisan free-speech watchdog, to get the incident expunged from his record and perhaps hold the school accountable for its overreach.

“There is no evidence J.A.’s face paint caused a disruption—let alone a material and substantial one—at the football game or at school afterward,” said a letter FIRE sent the school last week.

FIRE said that the suspension violated of J.A.’s First Amendment rights, which legally protect several modes of self-expression including dancing, painting and tattoos.

When administering judgement, the principal did not provide any complaints against the child nor explain how his eye black was a “hate incident.”

The letter went on to say that J.A. did not intend to mock or ridicule black people with the eye black, as minstrel shows previously used. He simply wanted to follow the trend put in place by thousands of athletes.

“The complete lack of disruption is unsurprising, as the sight of fans in face paint is familiar to and expected by anyone who has ever attended a football game or other sporting event,” it noted.

Athletes use eye black to reduce glare from the sun during games, as well as a sort of menacing war paint. Several athletes across a variety of sports use excessive amounts of eye black.

FIRE requested the school remove the infraction and “reaffirm [its] commitment to its binding First Amendment obligations.”

Promise Kept? Speaker Johnson Releases SOME Footage from Jan. 6

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) House Speaker Mike Johnson released on Friday some, but not all, of the footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest-turned-riot.

“This is another step towards keeping the promises I made when I was elected to be your Speaker,” Johnson said, providing a link to where the footage can be found.

However, much to the dissatisfaction of Jan. 6 defendants, the footage is apparently being released in batches.

“The way that the January 6 tapes will be released will be through a website, where any member of the public can observe the tapes being released. My expectation is that they will be released in tranches, and that the first tranche will be released in days, not weeks,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said Friday.

According to CBS reporter Scott MacFarlane, about 90 hours of footage is available on the website so far. GOP lawmakers seek to post nearly all of the 40,000-plus hours of footage within the coming months, he said.

However, some staffer faces will be “blurred,” he reported.

“That is a remarkably… ambitious … goal. To screen, edit, ‘blur,’ and post thousands of hours of video… in the matter of months,” MacFarlane noted. “If we sat down right now .. just to watch 44,000 hours of video. Just to watch it. It would take five years to do so.”

MacFarlane’s news upset Jan. 6 defendant William Pope, who’s been calling for all the footage to be released at once. Pope has alleged that the U.S. government is withholding exculpatory evidence, and that surveillance footage may have been tampered with.

“Americans will never trust blurred and edited J6 footage!” Pope said on Friday, reacting to Johnson’s announcement.

“It appears that the House Admin Committee has only uploaded about 90 hours of J6 footage, and download is prevented. This is garbage effort!” Pope later added.

Pope is right. But the limited footage released outside the Justice Department’s channels has been revelatory.

For instance, footage obtained by Tucker Carlson showed that Jacob Chansley—also known as QAnon Shaman—peacefully strolling through the Capitol with a police escort—undermining the narrative that he was a violent insurrectionist.

More substantially, Blaze Media claims to have reviewed footage that contradicts sworn testimony that a Capitol Police Special Agent gave at the Oath Keepers’ sedition trial last year.

REPORT: Hunter Biden Interviewed By Special Counsel Investigating Joe’s Mishandling of Classified Docs

(Headline USA) Hunter Biden was one of the roughly hundred people interviewed by special counsel Robert Hur, who is investigating President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, according to reports.

Hur’s investigation has been ongoing for nearly a year, and is expected to result in a detailed report within the next few months. He has interviewed multiple Biden administration officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, White House aide Steve Ricchetti and former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Hur also reached out to Hunter BIden’s attorneys to conduct an interview, which reportedly took place over two days at the White House.

Hunter Biden lived on and off at his father’s Delaware residence, where dozens of classified documents were discovered. His presence in the home raised concerns given the fact that he was involved in multiple foreign business deals at the time, and could have been given access to confidential information while it was stored in the Biden’s home.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) expressed concern in a letter to the White House earlier this year that “President Biden stored classified documents at the same location his son resided while engaging in international business deals with adversaries of the United States.”

Comer also asked the White House to turn over visitor logs from Biden’s Delaware residences to confirm who else might have had access to the sensitive material. The White House claimed in response that no such visitor logs exist.

Hur is not expected to bring charges against the president or Hunter Biden.

Comer, however, is leading a three-pronged investigation into Joe Biden, which focuses in part on the president’s mishandling of classified information. Just this week, the Oversight Committee subpoenaed a number of current and former aides to the president regarding his mishandling of classified documents.

Mom Group Urging Boycott of Macy’s Parade over Trans Performers

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A group of mothers has urged conservatives to boycott the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, which recently announced that it would promote a number of transgender performers, the Daily Mail reported.

A petition has gathered over 29,000 signatures already, with the signers being opposed to the non-binary and transgender festival that is reportedly planned.

Notably, Broadway performing transgenders Justin David Sullivan and Alex Newell will make a special appearance at the parade in order to shove wokeness in the faces of Americans.

Sullivan identifies as a “trans non-binary” singer; Newell, as “gender nonconforming.”

Monica Cole, director of One Million Moms, started the campaign to reject the politicized parade.

According to Cole, the movement is “picking up traction.” She has also encouraged people to stop shopping at Macy’s.

Cole released a statement arguing that the store chain is blatantly attempting to smuggle partisan politics into entertainment.

“Conservatives have signed urging Macy’s to no longer push the LGBTQ agenda in the name of entertainment,” she wrote.

For Cole, the decision by woke Macy’s executives leaves conservative families with no choice but to stop engaging with the company’s antics.

“By including non-binary performers, potentially exposing millions of viewers to this liberal nonsense, Macy’s is leaving conservative families with no other choice than to not watch this parade and no longer patronize their stores either,” she said.

Cole also accused the department store of “pushing the gay agenda during prime-time” and therefore ensuring that the parade and entertainment is “no longer family-friendly.”

Cole’s group is a subsidiary of the American Family Association, a traditional group that considers itself to be on the front lines of the culture war.

The association has been successful enough that it has been labeled a “hate group” by the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center.

Still, Cole remains optimistic.

“The petition warning will only gain speed as Thanksgiving Day approaches,” she concluded.

Democrat Who Misled about Residency Could Hand Va. Senate to GOP

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In last week’s closely watched election in Virginia—one that could have national implications for the 2024 presidential race—Democrats took control of the state House of Delegates and also held on to their state Senate majority by one vote.

But now, news has broken that a winning senator-elect may have lied about her residency status, leading to a situation wherein Republicans could retake control of the upper chamber, the Daily Wire reported.

Senator-elect Ghazala Hashmi—who allegedly lied on her paperwork about her residency—is exonerated, Democrats will control the senate by a 21-19 margin. If she did, in fact, lie and loses her projected seat by default, the chamber will be tied at 20-20 and Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears would be the tie-breaking vote.

Hashmi defeated Republican Hayden Fisher last week, gaining over 60% of the popular vote in the district in which she ran, Senate District 15, which covered much of the city of Richmond.

Virginia Senate candidates, however, are required under state law to live in the district which they are representing.

According to Hashmi’s candidacy paperwork, she has an apartment on Boulder Lake Drive in North Chesterfield in Senate District 15 of the state.

But nearby neighbors have alleged that Hashmi does not actually live at her listed address. They documented and photographed her living out of a home in Bosham Lane in Midlothian—outside of District 15.

In total, they visited her Bosham Lane home 62 times in October, taking photos of her car and her person, which were both there practically every evening.

Tax records also suggest that Hashmi may live elsewhere.

The issue stems largely from the state’s most recent round of redistricting. Hashmi is the incumbent senator for Senate District 10, which previously covered a large urban section of the city of Richmond but now encompasses a largely rural area west of the city, where a Republican easily won.

It will be up to the court to confirm that Hashmi has a secondary residence in her district and to decide whether it meets the legal definition of a “dwelling.”

That decision could ultimately impact other races as well, given the recent upheavals in the electoral maps, which forced many incumbents out of their previously held districts.

Hashmi downplayed the issue on Twitter, accusing Fisher of being an election denier.

However, if the court determines that she lied about her residency, it is possible she committed a felony, having sworn an oath that “I now reside at the address shown below in the district in which I seek office.”

The form even lists the fact that such a lie would be a grave crime.

“Knowingly making any untrue statement or entry in this document is a felony under Virginia law,” the form says.

“The punishment is a maximum fine of $2,500 and/or confinement for up to ten years. Also, you lose your right to vote.”

According to Fisher, he will not back down until Hashmi is punished for her failure to follow the law.

“I plan to stop them from certifying the election,” he said. “She’s disqualified, that means I ran unopposed as a matter of law.”

He added that there is “no question” that she does not live in the apartment that she listed. For Fisher, “she definitely clearly intentionally lied.”

A similar issue arose on a national level recently after it was revealed that Rep. Adam Schiff, a powerful Democratic congressman representing a Los Angeles area district in California—who is currently running to be a U.S. senator for the state—only maintains an apartment there, but has his primary residence in Maryland, where he sends his children to school.

Biden DOJ Defends Ban on Drug Users Purchasing Guns As Hunter Argues against It

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s Justice Department defended a ban on drug users owning guns even as Hunter Biden’s legal team prepares to challenge the policy as part of his defense against federal charges.

The government asked the Third Circuit Court of Appeals this week to uphold the conviction of Erik Harris, a college student who was charged after admitting he used marijuana while owning guns. DOJ attorneys argued the sentence is necessary for public safety reasons.

“Harris claimed to lose one of his firearms (potentially at a bar) on the same evening that he smoked marijuana and was drunk,” wrote Andrew Noll, a DC-based attorney with the Justice Department’s Criminal Division.

Noll went on to argue that the broader ban on drug users from purchasing weapons is due to the fact that drug users are more likely to be impaired.

“Users are unlikely to put their guns away before using drugs and retrieve them only after regaining lucidity,” Noll wrote. “And it is unclear how the government could reasonably administer a regime that permitted confiscation only during the several-hour period a person is intoxicated.”

Hunter Biden is facing federal charges for three gun felonies related to a 2018 incident in which police recovered a firearm registered to him from a trash can in Delaware. Records show Biden purchased the weapon by lying about his drug use, denying that he was an active drug user on the form.

Biden’s attorneys reportedly plan to invoke the Second Amendment to defend Biden’s right to purchase the weapon, even if that means overturning his father’s restrictions.

In a letter addressed to the U.S. attorney supervising the probe of the first son, Biden’s lawyers called the drug-user prohibition “constitutionally dubious at best.”

“[I]t is patently clear that the statutes underpinning the Government’s firearms case will be struck down,” Hunter’s lawyers wrote.
