MURDOCK: AI-Powered Undies, Armor May Revolutionize Policing

(Joe Diamond and Deroy Murdock, Headline USA) The heartbreaking murder of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller during a March 25 traffic stop in Queens reminds Americans of the dangers that our cops face daily.

Unfortunately, alleged gunman Guy Rivera fatally shot Detective Diller, 31, just below his bullet-resistant vest.

Enough is enough! The time is now to give NYPD officers the trailblazing protective gear they desperately need and deserve.

Today’s standard-issue body shields leave officers exposed to perpetrators’ increasingly lethal weapons. But groundbreaking innovations like liquid armor and ultra-high-strength composites could revolutionize police protection, creating lightweight, flexible equipment that lets cops operate more securely.

AI-powered sensors and real-time data analysis could enhance authorities’ situational awareness and decision-making. On the horizon: Lighter and more comfortable “smart long johns” that officers could slip beneath their uniforms.

Breakthroughs in smart helmets also could prevent deaths. Advanced composites of Kevlar, carbon fiber, and thermoplastics could help craft headcovers that are more nimble, easier to wear, and far tougher on hostile fire.

Much of this research and development is already underway, driven largely by the Pentagon’s quest for better military gear. These improvements often feature important law-enforcement applications.

Predictably, the usual suspects—cop-haters, criminal apologists, and the “defund the police” crowd—complain about the “militarization” of local precincts. But what kind of society deploys police officers without the best safeguards?

“Criminals will never stop trying to outgun the police,” says NYPD Captain (Ret.) Ed Mamet, co-host of WABC Radio’s Cop Talk podcast. “We owe it to our uniformed officers to keep up with the technology and give them the best protection as swiftly as possible.”

Better equipment could save civilians, too. Officers who feel invulnerable are less likely to resort to force while fearing for their own lives. Nobody wants to turn police into “robocops,” but supplying them with 21st Century armor makes common sense for them and those they shield from criminals.

Advanced defensive materials eventually will become more affordable. Three-dimensional printing already slashes costs in other industries. But police critics will do everything they can to scuttle relevant R&D. Only relentless public pressure from law-abiding citizens will keep this initiative on track.

Politically, Americans who back the blue should derail the de-funders. Indeed, Republicans should give those who rant against the cops the opportunity to vote on life-saving paraphernalia.

Whatever they may think about police-headcount levels and patrol tactics, do such Democrats as Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, New York’s Jamaal Bowman, Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar, and their state and local comrades want America’s cops to be more or less likely to die under fire?

If the haters want cops merely restrained, but not dead, they should vote accordingly on Capitol Hill and in U.S. statehouses and city halls.

However, if the cop-loathing Left really wants to make it easier for criminals to kill police officers, then these lawmakers should be honest about the deadly depths of their cop-hatred. Police supporters then should educate voters on such facts.

Government spending should flow from Woke nonsense to high-tech police protection. President Joe Biden’s latest budget earmarks billions for nebulous “gender equity” projects. A second Trump administration should reallocate these funds to perfecting and deploying safer law-enforcement equipment.

And if the U.S. House’s notorious “Squad” opposes these defensive devices, they should lose the earmarks that, maddeningly, they scored in last month’s budget cliffhanger.

If, for instance, Rep. Pressley opposes this gear, it should be curtains for her $400,000 PowerUp Latinx Business Initiative. Ditto Omar’s $1 million People Serving People Elevator and Bowman’s $1.65 million Mt. Vernon Green Tech Park. Those funds should underwrite police-safety R&D.

Detective Jonathan Diller made the ultimate sacrifice while upholding his oath. America should honor his memory by giving his uniformed brothers and sisters every possible advantage in their vital and dangerous work.

It’s time to move Heaven and Earth to armor the NYPD and other police squads and make it much easier for them to stay alive when criminal bullets go flying.

Desperate ‘Sanctuary City’ Plans to Defund Police to Pay for Illegals

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) After asking the Biden administration to cover the cost of keeping the illegal aliens, warning illegals that they will be kicked out and then begging them to leave, the Democratic-run city of Denver decided to defund its police department so that the city would be able to keep the illegals.

The infamous “sanctuary” city announced on Apr. 10, 2024, that it will spend $89.9 million on services for incoming illegals, pulling some of the funding from roughly $45 million in public programs and services.

Denver’s police department will be hit with an $8.4 million reduction — about 1.9% of its total operating budget — the Daily Caller News Foundation reported.

It was also revealed that the city’s fire department will also suffer a $2.5 million reduction or about 0.8% of its total operating costs, with half of those reductions coming from vacant positions, the city informed the Daily Caller.

Democratic Mayor Mike Johnston announced the news in one of his Twitter posts, while also using the word “newcomers” to describe illegals.

“Today, we shared a new budget and a more sustainable newcomer program. Proud of our city for welcoming those most in need. Proud of our city teams who found ways to minimize budget without major impacts,” he wrote.

Johnston then continued celebrating the new far-left plan by claiming it was the best option available to provide services to illegals while also mitigating city budget cuts.

“After more than a year of facing this crisis together, Denver finally has a sustainable plan for treating our newcomers with dignity while avoiding the worst cuts to city services. So many times we were told that we couldn’t be compassionate while still being fiscally responsible. Today is proof that our hardest challenges are still solvable, and that together we are the ones who will solve them,” he said.

2 Out of 3 Colleges Require DEI Courses to Graduate

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was discovered in a new report conducted by Speech First that two-thirds of colleges and universities in the United States require students to take at least one course related to DEI if they want to graduate.

The results of the study revealed that students at institutes of higher learning were being subject to “a level of indoctrination and coercion that was far beyond what many of us thought,” the free speech advocacy group wrote.

Additionally, Speech First argued that even in states where DEI departments had been banned, far-left administrators still managed to sneak in their destructive ideology.

It was also reported that, of the 248 colleges and universities chosen by the organization, 165 had a graduation requirement that included a course dealing with DEI-related themes. Of those, 59% were public institutions, while 41% were private institutions.

Even though some colleges and universities were blatantly forcing far-left ideology upon students, some institutions were indoctrinating their students more subtly.

For example, students at American University must complete a “Diversity & Equity requirement” by taking courses that “attend to issues of power, privilege and inequality that are embedded in social, cultural or economic hierarchies,” the organization reported.

“DEI is not merely confined to specific courses… While not every course is overtly DEI-themed, there are unmistakable options with DEI focus that satisfy general education requirements. This nuanced integration of DEI principles underscores a broader issue within academia, where DEI has become a fundamental aspect shaping the educational experience for students,” Speech First wrote.

The organization then added that politicians should continue fighting against the destructive ideology.

“We call on legislators, educators, students, and parents to join us in abolishing DEI graduation requirements. Our proposed measures include prohibiting mandatory ideological courses, ensuring instruction in constitutional principles, and emphasizing the importance of free speech in orientation programs,” Speech First Executive Director Cherise Trump said.

Leaked Audio: UCLA Doctors Praise Hamas-Backer’s Fiery Suicide

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Earlier this month, the psychiatry department of the University of California Los Angeles Medical School hosted a talk that glorified self-immolation as a form of “revolutionary suicide.”

Two psychiatry residents at UCLA, Drs. Ragda Izar and Afaf Moustafa, delivered the talk, “Depathologizing Resistance,” on Apr. 2, 2024, slides and emails that were obtained by the Washington Free Beacon revealed.

Izar and Moustafa talked about the suicide of Aaron Bushnell, the U.S. serviceman who set himself on fire in February 2024 to protest U.S. support for Israel, since he was a Hamas supporter. During their presentation, two leftists argued that Bushnell could also be considered a “martyr,” a man in full control of his mental faculties who had responded rationally to a “genocide” unfolding in the Middle East.

“Yes, he carried a lot of distress. But does that mean the actions he engaged in are any less valid? [Isn’t it normal] to be distressed when you’re seeing this level of carnage [in Gaza]?” Izar said in the leaked audio of the talk.

The news source reported that the talk reflects the erosion of what was until recently a bedrock medical norm, arguing that leftists in the medical field would start normalizing suicide, despite organizations like the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, stating that doctors must not glorify it since it could inspire others to harm themselves.

At UCLA, both Izar and Moustafa, who happen to be practicing psychiatrists, argued that self-immolation is a reasonable response to geopolitical events and that the taboo against it serves “the interests of power,” the news source added.

They said that by “perpetuating the stigma of self-immolation,” psychiatrists “discredit” resistance to “power structures” like “colonization,” “homophobia” and “white supremacy,” framing legitimate acts of protest as signs of psychiatric dysfunction.

Chinese Military Companies Spent over $24M Lobbying U.S Gov’t

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Chinese military companies have spent more than $24 million lobbying the American government since 2020.

A review of lobbying disclosures by the Daily Caller News Foundation revealed that some of the biggest spenders on lobbying included corporations directly tied to human rights abuses and Chinese military research. Among those companies were telecom giant Huawei, facial recognition software developer Megvii and genomics company BGI Shenzhen.

Chinese military corporations were lobbying the House, Senate and various parts of the executive branch, including the president’s office, often trying to be involved in policies that would impact their U.S. operations, the Daily Caller’s review of congressional disclosures and legislative records indicated.

Chinese military companies are entities that are “directly or indirectly owned, controlled or beneficially owned by” the Chinese military as well as those that were identified as “military-civil fusion contributor[s] to the Chinese defense industrial base” by the Department of Defense, the federal law stated.

Corporations that collaborate with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to develop military technology, organizations that have contracts with the government to produce munitions and any entity defined as a “defense enterprise” by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China belong to the latter category.

Disclosures showed that among those companies was telecom giant Huawei, which was included on the Pentagon’s initial list of Chinese military companies in 2020 and spent more than $10.8 million lobbying since then, more than any other entity flagged by the DOD.

BGI, which spent just under half a million dollars on lobbying between 2023 and 2024, is the world’s largest genomics company that is on the DOD’s list of Chinese military companies, the news source reported.

Among other Chinese military companies lobbying the federal government were also those that were linked to human rights abuses, such as DJJ, a drone manufacturer, and Megvii Technology Group, which produces artificial intelligence and facial recognition software that is used to conduct surveillance activities on ethnic minorities in China, according to the Department of Treasury.

Conservative Critics Scold 86 Republicans for Backing Warrantless Spying of Americans

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Conservative critics lambasted the 86 Republicans who thwarted an amendment to Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which would have required the FBI to seek warrants before subjecting Americans to unnecessary spying.

To the detriment of Americans, the unamended law passed 273-147, with House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., joining the 86 Republicans to defeat the bill.

Consequently, conservatives, including Republican lawmakers who voted against the bill, spared no words against those who aligned with Democrats to kill the amendment.

Reps. Nancy Mace, R-S.C.; Anna Paulina Launa, R-Fla.; Lauren Boebert, R-Colo.; and Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., were some of those scolding their colleagues.

“[Eighty-six Republicans] sided with 126 Democrats to give @POTUS and his biased administration full permission to spy on you without a warrant,” wrote Mace on Twitter. She described the bill’s passage, which extends FISA surveillance for two years, as a victory for the “uni-party surveillance hawks.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., one of the lawmakers who backed the amendment, announced that she forced a rare procedural vote that would compel the House to reconsider the amendment on Monday.

“You cannot have a free and open society with the warrantless spying of Americans. Today, the bipartisan vote to force intelligence communities to get a warrant was lost by one vote,” Luna said.

Expanding on her remarks, Luna added: “Hopefully we can change minds. I will be writing all 435 members over the weekend. Please help me. Talk to your reps. We have one last shot at this.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., applauded Luna’s move in a video statement posted on Twitter and called on constituents to demand their representatives support the amendment.

“We need you, the American people, putting pressure on these 86 Republicans who sold you out to today all weekend long. Do not relent. We have your back here in Washington, D.C., but this weekend, we need you doing your part,” Boebert said

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., echoed these concerns, writing on Twitter that the 86 Republicans “voted with the Deep State.” He added, “We need Republicans in Congress who believe that you shouldn’t be surveilled by your federal government.”

Other conservative personalities, including podcast hosts, influencers, and journalists, were equally emphatic in their responses to the failed amendment. See some of their reactions below:

Texas Teacher Recruited Female Students to Work as Prostitutes for Pimp Son

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A Texas high school teacher has been arrested on child sex-trafficking charges for offering some female students a place to stay and then forcing them into prostitution, with her son being a pimp.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced that cosmetology teacher Kedria Grigsby, 42, who worked at Klein Cain High School, was taken into custody on Apr. 8, 2024, and charged with three counts of child trafficking and three counts of compelling prostitution of juveniles, according to the New York Post.

Prosecutors also revealed that Grigsby was working with her 21-year-old son, Roger Magee, to build a “prostitution enterprise.”

“It appears Grigsby recruited troubled juveniles from local high schools by offering them a place to stay, which would be a hotel. Additional teen victims have come forward stating that Grigsby was also attempting to recruit them while attending school,” Gonzalez said.

Grigsby was arrested nearly two years after her son was arrested on similar charges of child trafficking, sexual assault of a child and compelling prostitution, the news source wrote.

Text messages between mother and son — as well others with three alleged victims, ages 15, 16 and 17 — discussing prostitution payments being made with Zelle, a digital payments network, were found by the investigators.

It was also revealed that Grigsby paid for a motel room, with one of the victims walking in and later running out of it, according to an officer who witnessed that.

Officials said that the girl who ran out of the room then ran into Grigsby’s car, in which at least one other victim was sitting.

Grigsby waived her right to appear in court on Apr. 9, 2024, and her bond was set at $750,000 — $125,000 for each charge of sex trafficking and compelling prostitution.

Additionally, Grigsby was ordered to not contact the victims and have any unsupervised interactions with other minors.

Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, responded to the news about what happened.

“What some of our educators are doing is criminal and disgusting. No child should be compelled by the state to be in a school like this. And yet, current law doesn’t allow the choice to go elsewhere. I’m working to elect state representatives who will change that,” he said.

Ex-Obama Aide Makes Case for Jailing and Impeaching Biden in Bombshell Book

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A former aide from Barack Obama’s White House has unleashed a bombshell book outlining the case for impeaching and incarcerating President Joe Biden.

In his new book, The Case to Impeach and Imprison Joe Biden, former White House stenographer Mike McCormick minced no words, detailing Biden’s alleged involvement in the business dealings of his embattled son, Hunter Biden.

“When I worked for him, I thought Joe was harmless — egotistical, buffoonish, and unpresidential, but harmless,” McCormick wrote in the book, as reported by Townhall. “Now I think of him as an evil criminal who should be impeached and imprisoned.”

McCormick, who transcribed interviews, statements, and speeches from 2002 through 2018, specifically worked for Biden from 2011 to 2017, Townhall reported.

According to the book’s Amazon listing, McCormick traveled with Biden to Honduras and Ukraine. “During this assignment, he found the vice president buffoonish and unpresidential,” the listing wrote.

As reported by Townhall, McCormick says he witnessed Biden participating in schemes related to Ukrainian energy, including the infamous gas company Burisma. One alleged deal involved Hunter Biden serving on Burisma’s board in exchange for U.S. funding for the energy sector.

McCormick’s book follows his bombshell allegations in April 2023 when he submitted evidence that could potentially lead to Biden’s impeachment.

“McCormick ultimately recognized the crimes that then-Vice President Biden perpetrated in his dealings with Ukraine and Honduras only after receiving a verified copy of the Hunter Biden Laptop,” the listing explained.

The listing further added: “By cross-referencing materials in the Hunter Biden Laptop with President Obama’s White House website and congressional testimony by Joe’s co-conspirators, plus his own recollections, McCormick weaves a devastating timeline that pinpoints Joe Biden as the mastermind of a kickback scheme with Burisma Holdings that enriched him and Hunter Biden.”

DNC Paid $1.5M Legal Bill for Biden’s Classified Doc. Scandal

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Financial filings indicated that the Democratic National Committee paid Joe Biden’s legal bills of $1.5 million for the classified documents scandal.

In January 2023, Special Counsel Robert Hur launched a probe into Biden for mishandling classified documents, according to Breitbart.

Even though Biden became a millionaire for spending almost his entire life in Washington D.C. as a corrupt politician, the DNC still paid for his legal bills.

The DNC paid $1.05 million to the company of Biden’s lead attorney, Bob Bauer, from July 2023 to February 2024, according to Axios.

“Those payments were largely for handling the special counsel probe, including bringing on veteran lawyer David Laufman,” a former Justice Department official who oversaw the probes into Hillary Clinton’s email server and now-debunked Russian interference in the 2016 election, the news source added.

It was revealed in a transcript that was obtained by Breitbart that, during the interview with Hur, Biden, 81, experienced mental lapses and “poor memory” at least seven times.

Hur’s investigation was concluded in February, finding Biden “willfully” retained classified documents. However, Hur declined to prosecute him, citing “insufficient evidence” and characterizing Biden as “an elderly man with a poor memory.”

Meanwhile, Biden’s Justice Department indicted Donald Trump for using campaign funds to cover his legal fees. Trump now faces a maximum of 450 years in federal prison if convicted of all 40 charges.

On June 8, 2023, Special Counsel Jack Smith filed the second indictment against Trump, which was “coincidentally” the same day damning allegations surfaced about Joe and Hunter Biden.

In March 2023, a member of Biden’s counsel’s office met with a top member of Smith’s team, just nine weeks before he indicted Trump in the classified document case.

“[The meeting] raises obvious concerns about visits to the White House after [Bratt] began his work with the special counsel. There is no reason why the Justice Department should not be able to confirm whether this meeting was related to the ongoing investigation or concerns some other matter,” George Washington University law Professor Jonathan Turley said.

Trump Campaign Wants Debate w/ Biden ‘Much Earlier’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Trump campaign called for the upcoming 2024 presidential debates to take place “much earlier” than initially proposed by the debate commission, with Donald Trump saying that he is “totally committed” to debating Joe Biden “anytime, anywhere, anyplace.”

The letter that was written by Trump co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita and sent on Apr. 11, 2024, to the Commission on Presidential Debates co-chairs Frank Farenkopf Jr. and Antonia Hernandez was obtained by Fox News.

“While the Commission on Presidential Debates has already announced three presidential debates and a vice-presidential debate to occur later this year, we are in favor of these debates beginning much earlier,” the letter said, adding that the reason why they think that should be the case is that “voting is beginning earlier and earlier” and that, in 2020, “tens of millions of Americans had already voted by the time of the first debate.”

Trump said in an Apr. 11, 2024, interview with Fox News it is “very important to have the debates now because the country is doing so badly.”

Among the examples of the United States “doing so badly” that were used by Trump were the crisis at the southern border, national security, America’s standing on the world stage, rising crime, the economy and other issues.

“The country is in such trouble. What are Biden’s plans? I would fully accept any debate, anywhere, anytime, anyplace,” Trump said.

When asked if he thought Biden would debate him on the issues that matter most to voters, Trump said he doesn’t care.

“Perhaps he will, perhaps he won’t. I really don’t care. I am totally committed to debating him anytime, anywhere, any place,” he said.

When he was asked about the debate schedule, Trump said “The earlier the better.”

“I think it is important that we debate and the earlier the better because people have to find out what is going on with America. We are no longer respected around the world. There are so many things that are happening. It’s not the same country that we had just four years ago,” he said.
