Rep. Nancy Mace Accuses Her Ex-Staffers of Sabotage

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) Rep. Nancy Mace, R-SC, accused her former staffers of trying to sabotage her in a bombshell interview with the Daily Mail.

“Mace, 46, says the departed staffers mismanaged $1 million, hacked her phone, spied on medical records, and even submerged electronic devices in water and deleted files to cover their tracks,” the Daily Mail reported Friday.

“The mother-of-two claims they even went as far snooping on her childrens’ calendars and would monitor doctor appointments.”

Mace’s interview with the Daily Mail came on the heels of nine of her staffers departing her office by February of this year. She reportedly fired her chief of staff in December, after which her deputy chief of staff and legislative director resigned.

According to Mace, those staffers tried to undermine her at every turn.

“I knew that they were sabotaging the office for a while. I didn’t know to the extent that they were doing it,” Mace told the Daily Mail.

“They were signing my name on documents they didn’t have permission to do – one of them submerged their electronic devices under water so we couldn’t access their files. They deleted files, some of them deleted files off our server, so there’d be no documentation for the new staff that were coming in.”

The staffers, for their part, clapped back against Mace. They reportedly denied hacking her personal devices, and said it was standard routine for elected officials to share their personal calendars with staff.

“She had a personal calendar, a political calendar, and official calendar. All three of those calendars were managed and shared with senior staff so that we could go about the daily operations. No one hacked her accounts. She set them all up,” one former staffer said.

“This seems to be stemming from paranoia and trust issues,’ another former staffer reportedly said. “She’s clearly unwell and I hope she gets help.”

Steve Bannon Could be Jailed through the Election after Major Appeals Ruling

(Headline USA)  A federal appeals court panel on Friday upheld the criminal conviction of Donald Trump’s longtime ally Steve Bannon for defying a subpoena from the Democrat-controlled Jan. 6th Commission.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit rejected Bannon’s challenges to his contempt of Congress conviction for which he was sentenced in 2022 to four months in prison. The judge overseeing the case has allowed him to remain free while he pursued his appeal, but now he’s expected to head to prison—possibly through the 2024 election.

Bannon has a daily radio show, the War Room, that’s highly popular and influential in the MAGA world.

Bannon’s attorneys didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment. His lawyers could ask the full D.C. appeals court to hear the matter, which might further delay a potential prison sentence.

Bannon was convicted of two counts of contempt of Congress: one for refusing to sit for a deposition and the other for refusing to provide documents related to his involvement in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Bannon had initially argued that his testimony was protected by Trump’s claim of executive privilege. But the House panel and the Justice Department contended such a claim was dubious because Trump had fired Bannon from the White House in 2017 and Bannon was thus a private citizen when he was consulting with the then-president in the run-up to the riot,

Bannon’s lawyers argued at trial that he wasn’t acting in bad faith, but was trying to avoid running afoul of executive privilege objections Trump had raised. The onetime presidential adviser said he wanted to have a Trump lawyer in the room for his appearance, but the committee wouldn’t allow it.

Bannon’s lawyers told the appeals court that the conviction should be overturned because, among other reasons, they said the committee’s subpoena was invalid. Bannon also argued that the judge that oversaw the trial wrongly quashed subpoenas seeking testimony and records from the committee’s own members, staffers and counsel his lawyers argued could have bolstered his defense.

The appeals court said all of his challenges lacked merit.

“We conclude that none of the information sought in the trial subpoenas was relevant to the elements of the contempt offense, nor to any affirmative defense Bannon was entitled to present at trial,” the judges wrote.

A second Trump aide, trade advisor Peter Navarro, was also convicted of contempt of Congress and reported to prison in March to serve his four-month sentence. Navarro has maintained that he couldn’t cooperate with the committee because Trump had invoked executive privilege. But courts have rejected that argument, finding Navarro couldn’t prove Trump had actually invoked it.

Navarro’s case, along with Bannon’s, marked the first time in roughly four decades that any such cases had been prosecuted by the DOJ, despite recent examples including Lois Lerner, Eric Holder and Hillary Clinton, all of whom brazenly disregarded congressional subpoenas during the Obama administration.

Convenience Store Gold Flying Off Shelves in Korea!

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) Tiny bars of gold are flying off the shelves in South Korean convenience stores. This is yet another example of the movement of gold from West to East.

Korea’s largest convenience store chain, CU, has teamed up with Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation (KOMSCO) to offer customers fingernail-sized gold bars. The bars come in a range of sizes between 0.1 grams and 1.87 grams. The largest bars sell for 225,000 won, the equivalent of about $165.

The gold is packaged in cards that feature various graphics and messages.

The product is similar to gold beans popular in China.

CU began selling the gold bars in April. One-gram bars sold out within two days, and according to a Korean news report, CU had sold 60 percent of the total inventory by April 23.

According to CU, the company plans to expand its gold product range with heavier weights including 2-gram, 4-gram, and 10-gram bars.

According to the news report, the majority of customers were millennials in their 30s and 40s. They accounted for over 70 percent of the sales. Fractional gold bars are a convenient investment for young people with smaller incomes who want to own gold.

Demand for the small bars dovetails with a more general trend of increased gold demand in Korea. According to the World Gold Council, demand for gold coins and bars increased by 27 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024. It was the sharpest increase in Korean physical gold demand in more than two years.

Like the U.S., Korea is dealing with sticky price inflation averaging around 3 percent. According to an article in the Korean Times, rising prices, especially food costs, are putting a squeeze on Korean consumers.

Inflation pressures are likely a factor in the surging demand for gold. Koreans have also been dealing with stagnant wages and record levels of debt.

The country also reflects a broader trend of strong gold demand in Asian markets. In effect, we’re seeing a movement of gold from West to East.

Asian demand helped drive overall gold demand to the highest first-quarter level since 2016.

According to the World Gold Council, profit-taking by Western investors contrasted with largely one-way investment demand in Asia. Bar and coin demand in China surged by 68 percent year-on-year to 110 tons. Gold bar and coin investment in India jumped by 19 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, physical gold demand fell modestly in U.S. and European markets.

Rapidly increasing gold reserves of emerging market central banks primarily in the East have also supported gold demand.

The impact remains unclear, but there is no doubt that gold’s axis is moving to the East – particularly China.

What Is Fiat Money and Why Is It a Problem?

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) If you follow alternative financial media, you’ll often hear dollars derisively referred to as “fiat currency.” What exactly does this term mean and why is it often used as a slur?

Investopedia defines fiat money as a government-issued currency not backed by a physical commodity such as gold or silver.

So, what is fiat backed by?

“The full faith and credit” of the issuing government.

In other words – nothing.

Fiat money is just paper (or digits in a computer). It only has value because the government says so, and the majority of people accept it at its word. It doesn’t hurt that governments have the power to maintain a monopoly over their currency through legal tender laws, keeping competing currencies at bay.

All modern government currencies are fiat, including the dollar, the euro, the yen, and the yuan.

Since fiat money isn’t tethered to a commodity, its value effectively floats. It is based on supply and demand, along with the stability of the issuing government. Most people express the value of fiat money by comparison to other fiat currencies. When you hear about a “strong dollar” it means the greenback is strong compared to other global currencies.

The Problem With Fiat Money

So, what’s the problem with fiat?

It is effectively limitless.

Governments can create as much fiat money as they want. We often refer to this as “money printing,” although today it’s not even that hard. A government or central bank can create new money with a few keyboard strokes.

As economist Thorsten Polleit put it, fiat money economies are built on lies.

“Fiat currencies are produced by central banks and commercial banks’ credit expansion. In fact, central banks in cahoots with commercial banks increase the outstanding money supply by extending loans to firms, private households, and government entities. It amounts to money creation from thin air or—in a way—counterfeiting money.”

We go to prison for counterfeiting. The government does it as a matter of policy.

But when you really think about it, there is no fundamental difference between me printing off a bunch of bills and calling it “money” and the government doing it. If I could get enough people to believe my paper had value, it could be money too.

Sound money such as gold and silver, or currencies backed by a commodity, are limited by the supply of that commodity. You can’t print gold or silver. That means if a country issues a gold-backed currency, the only way it can create more is to acquire more gold. This limits the issuance of new money, minimizing inflation and keeping the value of money relatively constrained and constant.

Think of it this way: when you make more of a thing, the value of the other thing decreases. If you have 100 widgets and make 100 more, the value of each widget will decrease (assuming demand is stable.) The same is true for dollars. When you make more dollars, each individual dollar is worth less and it buys less. Or as Polleit put it, “The relentless expansion of the quantity of fiat money causes the purchasing power of the money unit to decline over time.”

“What is more, increasing the quantity of fiat money creates winners and losers, it is not a win-win game: The early receivers of the new money benefit at the expense of the late receivers. It leads to an unjust and unsocial distribution of income and wealth within society.”

You can see the inflationary tendency in the fiat dollar economy when you compare the expansion of the gold supply to the expansion in the dollar supply.

The above-ground gold stock has expanded by an average of 1.2 percent annually over the last 529 years. Since 1960 the average growth in the gold supply is slightly higher at 1.8 percent, ranging from 1.4 percent to 2.2 percent per year.

Meanwhile, since 1960, money supply growth varied from a low of 1 percent in 1993 to a high of 19.1 percent in 2020. The inconsistency in the growth rates results in frequent and sharp swings in prices. There are either not enough or too many dollars circulating relative to the prevailing level of economic activity. This volatility is part of the boom-bust cycle.

But over the long haul, the value of every fiat currency depreciates over time because governments can’t resist the temptation to create more of it.

Consider the dollar. The greenback has lost more than 85 percent of its value since President Richard Nixon severed the dollar from the last vestiges of the gold standard. The purchasing power of a 1971 dollar is equal to about 13 cents today.

Meanwhile, the dollar value of gold has gone from $35 an ounce to around $2,300 an ounce today. In percentage terms, that’s a 6,471 percent increase.

Fiat money also introduces counterparty risk. In simple terms, it is the possibility that the party on the other side of a transaction might not fulfill its obligation.

Who is the counterpart behind fiat money?

The government.

If you trust the government to maintain a sound, stable currency, I guess there’s no problem. But if you don’t?

When you boil it all down, fiat money is smoke and mirrors. You want real money. And gold and silver have been filling that role for thousands of years.

Report: Biden’s Personal Secret Service Agent Investigated Man Who Posted about Laptop

(Ken Silva, Headline USA) The Daily Signal published a report this week about the Secret Service investigating a man for showing “unusual interest” in the Biden family, despite the man not making any actual threats of violence.

The report raises troubling questions about the Secret Service’s investigation of what appears to be First Amendment-protected activity. But perhaps even more interesting is that the report reveals who conducted the investigation into the Biden poster: Secret Service agent John Mazza, whose contact info appears in Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell.”

According to The Daily Signal, Mazza used to work in the Secret Service division that provides protection to the vice president, the position Joe Biden held from 2009 until 2017, as well as some of the vice president’s family members.

“Hunter Biden’s possession of Mazza’s contact information in his laptop should have set off alarm bells. Such a situation is extremely irregular, a former Secret Service agent who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Daily Signal,” the outlet reported.

“The former Secret Service agent speculated that the younger Biden may have gotten this contact information if Mazza had led one of the agency’s protective details and provided it to the president’s son or other relatives under protection.”

Mazza, who is now retired, reportedly declined to comment on the situation.

His involvement aside, The Daily Signal revealed that the man who was investigation had posted content that was more comical than threatening.

For instance, one of the man’s posts reportedly joked that he planned to “invade the White House and get pics of Biden in his ‘Depends,’” referring to a brand of adult diaper.

The man also made posts about court martialing the heads of the Pentagon and major federal agencies, and giving them the death penalty.

The man’s posts, and the Secret Service’s investigation, occurred in 2022.

The Daily Signal reported that it’s unclear whether the Secret Service ever interviewed the Army veteran or conducted the corroborating interviews. The publication has the man’s identity but declined to reveal it on the basis that he wasn’t criminally charged, and could not be reached for comment.

“In order to maintain operational security, the U.S. Secret Service does not discuss the means and methods used to conduct matters of protective intelligence,” Secret Service spokesperson Alexi Worley told The Daily Signal on Monday afternoon. “We can confirm that the Secret Service investigates all threats related to our protectees.”

Huh? Kamala Harris Recounts Odd Exchange with Reporters: ‘Ovaries!’

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Many Americans may find themselves questioning Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent statements, which some might deem odd and imprudent.

Most recently, Harris made headlines with her crude remarks about genitalia, in a failed attempt to peddle for the abortion.

During a campaign event in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Harris shared an anecdote about a situation where she cautioned reporters regarding her use of explicit language when discussing abortion.

“I’m so fed up with this sometimes because you know I’m on the road full-time talking about this and other issues,” Harris told singer Sheryl Lee Ralph, who hosted the event.

Expanding on the incident, Harris recounted, “When I went to a reproductive clinic it was a long day and press was there and I said, ‘Let me just tell you. You guys are going to have to be ready for this ready for certain language and I said very loudly: Ovaries!’”

Agreeing with Harris, Lee Ralph enthusiastically added, “Fallopian tubes!”

Harris chuckled in response, “Fallopian tubes, right?”

“Uterus!” chimed in Lee Ralph.

Continuing the exchange, the vice president mentioned, “Fibroids,” referring to muscular tumors that can develop in the uterus.

Harris admitted that the male reporters seemed uncomfortable with her remarks.

“It was the funniest thing for me at least,” she noted. “The women reporters started laughing. All the men reporters look down.”

In support of Harris, Lee Ralph emphasized the alleged importance of using crude language when addressing abortion.

“We’ve got to have these conversations out loud. Being a woman is not something to be ashamed of,” she said.

Later in her speech, Lee Ralph brought up the issue of Viagra, stating, “If a man can get Viagra, I need health care too.”

Harris’s comments come amid her efforts to elevate abortion as a central issue in the struggling reelection campaign of both herself and her scandal-laden boss, President Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden’s Smoking Gun?: Seen with Sean Penn at Lavish Members-Only Club

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Despite facing a potential 42 years in federal prison, Hunter Biden was recently seen with Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn outside a members-only luxury club in Malibu, California.

In photos released by the New York Post, the worries-free Biden sported a blue jean jacket, Ray-Ban-like glasses and what appeared to be a black hat adorned with the Californian flag’s logo.

Accompanying him was Penn, cigarette in hand, directly engaging with the camera.

The setting? The exclusive Little Beach House Malibu, the luxurious club infamous for its hefty annual fees of up to $10,000.

Membership details for Biden and Penn remain unclear. A receptionist at the Malibu-based Soho House hung up twice on Headline USA’s request for comment.

According to the New York Post, Biden hosted Penn at a Southern California residence before being spotted at the lavish club.

Biden and Penn’s friendship dates back to 2010 when associates of the first son sought Penn’s involvement in aid efforts following the Haitian earthquake, the outlet reported.

The duo also allegedly attended a soirée at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington in December 2022.

Biden’s appearance follows the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals rejecting his defense attorney’s bid to delay the trial for three felony charges linked to an alleged illegal gun purchase.

The gun charge arises from falsified paperwork regarding a firearm purchase, where Biden allegedly misrepresented his drug use.

In addition, Biden faces a nine-count indictment, including three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor tax offenses.

Furthermore, Biden deliberately allegedly neglected to pay tax penalties for the years 2016 through 2019 in a timely manner.

Prosecutors claim he circumvented tax withholding procedures for his company by diverting funds outside the payroll system.

This is in addition to failing to file his 2017 and 2018 taxes on time and submitting false business deductions in 2018.

If convicted, Biden could be sentenced to up to 25 years for the gun offense and 17 years for the tax charges.

Trump: Jews Who Voted for Biden ‘Should Be Ashamed of Themselves’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Donald Trump recently said that American Jews who plan to vote for Joe Biden in the upcoming 2024 election should be ashamed of themselves.

Trump’s comment came during his latest response to Biden threatening to withhold aid to Israel if it launches a major military offensive in Rafah, the Times of Israel reported.

“What Biden is doing with respect to Israel is disgraceful. He’s totally abandoned Israel. I guess he feels good about it because he did it as a political decision. You have to do the right decision, not the political decision,” Trump said outside the New York chambers of his “hush-money” trial for allegedly paying a porn star to keep quiet about a sexual encounter they allegedly had during the 2016 presidential election campaign.

Trump then said that Jews who plan to vote for Biden should be ashamed of themselves.

“If any Jewish person voted for Joe Biden, they should be ashamed of themselves,” he said.

As it was previously reported, Jewish people started to realize that the Left not only was not on their side but also hated them, which resulted in Jews expressing their desire to vote for Trump instead of Biden in the upcoming election.

Trump’s comments came after Biden’s administration paused its shipment of thousands of bombs to Israel, despite Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s previously saying that the U.S. commitment to Israel remains “ironclad,” the Independent reported.

“We are currently reviewing some near-term security assistance shipments in the context of the ongoing events in Rafah,” Austin said earlier this week.

Trump also previously criticized the Biden administration and Democrats, in general, by saying that they hate Israel, CBS News reported.

“I actually think they hate Israel. I think they hate Israel. And the Democrat Party hates Israel,” Trump told his former aide, Sebastian Gorka.

Once Influential FreedomWorks Shuts Down, Citing Shift to MAGA Populism

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) A libertarian organization shut down because of the ideological split in a Republican Party dominated by Donald Trump.

“We’re dissolved. It’s effective immediately,” FreedomWorks’s president, Adam Brandon, told Politico while adding that FreedomWorks’ board of directors voted unanimously to dissolve the company on May 7, 2024, with May 8, 2024, being the last workday for the group’s roughly 25 employees.

Brandon added that the staffers will continue to receive paychecks and health care benefits for the next few months.

In March 2023, FreedomWorks laid off 40% of its staff and as a result of a drop in fundraising, the organization’s total revenue has declined by roughly half, to about $8 million, since 2022.

The decision to shut down was driven by the conservatives going back to their roots after Trump came to power, which resulted in a “huge gap” between the libertarian principles of FreedomWorks leadership and the MAGA movement, Brandon said.

“A lot of our base aged, and so the new activists that have come in [with] Trump, they tend to be much more populist. So you look at the base and that just kind of shifted,” he said.

The company itself faced the same split.

“Our staff became divided into MAGA and Never Trump factions,” Brandon said in an internal document.

The change in the conservative movement also impacted fundraising.

“Now I think donors are saying, ‘What are you doing for Trump today?’. And we’re not for or against Trump. We’re for Trump if he’s doing what we agree with, and we’re against him if he’s not. And so I think we’ve seen an erosion of conservative donors,” Paul Beckner, a member of FreedomWorks’ board, said.

Brandon also said that some donors would contact him to complain that the organization was doing too much to help Trump, while others called to complain that they weren’t doing enough to help Trump.

“It is an impossible position,” Brandon said.

Stormy Daniels Says She Is Crazier Now, Admits Telling Trump Story Was for Money

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) It was discovered that Stormy Daniels, the porn actress at the center of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s prosecution against Donald Trump, was motivated by a need for constant attention, greed, petty vindictiveness, and mental illness.

Shortly after Trump was charged with falsifying business records to cover up alleged “hush money” payments to Daniels just days before the 2016 election, the porn actress acknowledged in a 2023 interview that her mental health had declined, New York Magazine‘s Intelligencer reported in its lengthy biographical sketch.

“I’m significantly more crazy now than I was before,” Daniels said.

Additionally, Daniels admitted as much in her court testimony, confirming to Trump’s defense attorney, Susan Necheles, that she was motivated to “get the story out and make some money.”

Another thing that needed to be pointed out was Daniels constantly changing her story, with the newest iteration suggesting her encounter with Trump was nonconsensual because Trump was bigger than her, even though she previously stated that she was the aggressor.

“[S]he recounts details about insulting him, or making him change out of his pajamas, or instructing him to bend over so she could spank him… she had thought of her standoff with Trump as a battle of egos between two equals, and she had felt that she had won,” the news source reported.

Daniels also tried to present herself as the victim of grave injustice, even though there is no evidence of that being the case, according to a person who knew her personally.

“Her mindset is that this is a justice system that hasn’t protected her, and yet she’s here spending her money, her own time and taking time off work and risking her safety to show up for a legal system that didn’t show up for her,” Daniels’s friend said.
