Money Metals Opens Idaho-Based Gold Depository Larger Than Fort Knox

(Money Metals News Service) The Western United States now has its very own Fort Knox, only substantially larger.

After three years of planning and construction, Money Metals has opened its state-of-the-art 37,000-square-foot vaulting and fulfillment facility in Eagle, Idaho.

Nestled into the base of the Boise Foothills, Money Metals’ high-security gold and silver storage compound cost $28 million to construct, has the capacity to hold upwards of $100 billion in gold and silver, and can be further expanded to 60,000 square feet.

Built on a 3.2-acre lot adjacent to city and county police and emergency services, the new depository offers an extremely secure location for individuals, businesses, family offices, governments, and financial institutions across the globe to store high-value precious metals assets.

Embedded into the facility are advanced security measures, around-the-clock monitoring, secure access controls, a security team composed of armed former law enforcement and military personnel, and third-party audits and insurance to ensure the highest standards of integrity and protection.

Located in low-crime Eagle, Idaho, adjacent to city and county emergency services, Money Metals Depository operates the largest Class 3 vault in all of North America.

Money Metals’ Class 3 vault is the largest in North America, providing nearly 9,000 square feet in ultra-secure storage space, more than twice the capacity as the United States Bullion Depository at Fort Knox, Kentucky. (Class 3 is the highest possible vault rating possible in accordance with Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) standards.)

Stefan Gleason, President and CEO of Money Metals, said the new depository will further underpin the upward growth trajectory Money Metals has achieved in recent years.

“Because we’ve made the process to buy, sell, and/or store precious metals so seamless, Money Metals is now able to handle the transactions, storage, and other needs of hundreds of thousands of customers each year,” said Gleason.

Fort Knox

Money Metals Depository is double the size of the U.S. Bullion Depository (pictured above).

Since its founding in 2010, Money Metals has expanded dramatically, establishing itself as one of the leading precious metals dealers in North America, and conducting nearly $5 billion in transactions to date.

A family-owned business, Money Metals began as a tiny operation with a single employee and has grown into an internationally recognized precious metals dealer with 100 employees.

Money Metals currently delivers as many as 40,000 gold and silver orders each month and has already served nearly 750,000 customers in North America.

“The need for this massive new depository is a testament to the significant and growing demand for physical gold and silver coming from Americans who seek refuge from the deliberate federal policy of currency debasement,” observed Gleason.

With its extensive product inventory, fast shipping, superior customer service, and high-volume sales, Money Metals has been named Best Overall Online Precious Metals Dealer by Investopedia multiple times and has maintained an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Money Metals offers low-cost storage options for bullion coins, rounds, ingots, and bars with comprehensive protection against theft, loss, and damage — and robust insurance backed by Lloyd’s of London.

Storage through Money Metals Depository is generally more cost-effective and secure than bank safe deposit boxes, other storage facilities, and personal home safes.

Mike Gleason, a Director at Money Metals, remarked, “Our new state-of-the-art depository is truly one of a kind. This project was years in the making and has finally come to fruition. It’s something about which we are extremely proud.”

In addition to buying, selling, and securely shipping or storing precious metals, Money Metals offers monthly purchase plans and assists with Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), allowing investors to include physical precious metals in their retirement portfolios.

Meanwhile, Money Metals is a leading news and education hub in the precious metals space. The company also offers collateralized loans and leads sound money public policy efforts across the United States.

Gold Revaluation Is Far More Democratic Money Creation than Platinum Coins

(Chris Powell, Money Metals News Service) This week, the brilliant journalist and financial analyst Mike Maharrey of Money Metals revisited the recent dream of inflationists…

…to increase the U.S. money supply by means of the U.S. government’s creation of one or two platinum coins with trillion-dollar denominations.

The idea would have the U.S. Treasury Department mint the coins and deposit them with the Federal Reserve, whereupon the Fed could create and distribute U.S. dollars matching the trillion-dollar deposits.

US Treasury

Since a longstanding obscure statute authorizes the Treasury to mint platinum coins of any denomination, this would be a way of increasing the U.S. money supply in a big way without addressing the stupendous and rapidly growing U.S. government debt and without obtaining approval from Congress.

But the trillion-dollar coin idea is similar to a policy change that gold advocates long have been rooting for: a formal revaluation of gold by governments and central banks, including the U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve.

For if the U.S. government really has full control over what it long has claimed — a reserve of 8,133 tonnes of gold — gold revaluation also could support a lot of money creation.

Gold researcher Jan Nieuwenhuis has been noting for months that many governments and central banks recognize the money-creation potential of gold revaluation and provide for it explicitly with gold revaluation accounts.

Back in 2012, the U.S. economists Paul Brodsky and Lee Quaintance described the potential of gold revaluation.

They even hypothesized that it was already the plan of major central banks, by which they would redistribute gold reserves among themselves and then with gold revaluation devalue government debt and society’s debts generally while reliquefying themselves:

Writing in 2013 under a pen name — Koos Jansen — Nieuwenhuis called attention to a discussion of gold revaluation at the highest levels of the U.S. State Department in 1974, where Assistant Undersecretary of State Thomas O. Enders explained to Secretary of State Henry Kissinger that gold reserves are the crucial “reserve-creating instrument” of government.

Thomas O. Enders and Henry Kissinger gold sound money ai generated

Enders said Western European governments, having then acquired more gold than the U.S. government had, were in a position to control not only the gold price but also, through gold revaluation, the price of all currencies and assets.

Enders told Kissinger that to protect the dollar and its power in the world, the United States had to prevent Western European governments from revaluing gold and indeed had to kick gold out of the world financial system entirely.

“It’s against our interest to have gold in the system because for it to remain there it would result in it being evaluated periodically,” Enders said.

“Although we have still some substantial gold holdings — about $11 billion — a larger part of the official gold in the world is concentrated in Western Europe. This gives them the dominant position in world reserves and the dominant means of creating reserves. We’ve been trying to get away from that into a system in which we can control. …”

So the U.S. government might much prefer to “create reserves” via the gimmick of trillion-dollar platinum coins rather than via gold revaluation because the platinum coins would restrict an increase in reserves to the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department, while a general revaluation of gold would increase the reserves of all governments and central banks holding gold.

That is, gold revaluation would be a far more democratic mechanism of money creation and debt relief or default.

As is suggested by the slow but steady international trend away from U.S. dollars and U.S. government debt and into gold, acknowledged this week by the Japanese news service Nikkei, much of the world has caught on to the U.S. government’s gold price suppression policy. GATA’s work exposing the policy has had a lot to do with this.

The world has not caught on to it because of the work of mainstream financial news organizations and mainstream market analysts, who have refused to report the proof and other evidence of gold price suppression policy, which GATA has compiled here.

Those news organizations and analysts know all about gold price suppression policy because GATA repeatedly has shown them the documentation. They are corrupt, the tools of governments and big money.

But history is that the bad guys always go too far, and maybe with gold price suppression, they have gone too far already, exploiting poor, developing, commodity-producing nations for the benefit of rich nations and particularly for the benefit of the United States, whose extravagant debt is to a great extent a brutal tax on the rest of the world, a modern but little-understood form of slavery.

Surging Silver Demand Could Deplete Global Inventories as Early as Next Year

(Mike Maharrey, Money Metals News Service) Rapidly increasing industrial and military demand for silver could deplete global inventories by as early as next year.

Silver demand has outstripped supply for three straight years and the Silver Institute projects another market deficit this year.

In 2023, the silver market charted a structural deficit of 184.3 million ounces. The projection is for an even larger supply shortfall this year in the neighborhood of 215 million ounces. This would be the second-largest silver market deficit ever recorded.

According to an article published by the Jerusalem Post, surging demand coupled with declining mine output “could have far-reaching implications for markets, investors, and industries reliant on the precious metal.”

“As the clock ticks towards 2025, the global market braces for the profound impact of industrial and military silver demand on inventories. Stakeholders across sectors must navigate this evolving landscape with strategic foresight and innovation to mitigate the looming supply crunch.”

Rapidly rising industrial demand, specifically in the solar energy sector, is driving the growing market deficits.

Industrial demand for silver set a record of 654.4 million ounces in 2023 and it is expected to hit new highs this year. According to The Silver Institute, ongoing structural gains from green economy applications underpinned this surge in silver demand.

“Higher than expected photovoltaic (PV) capacity additions and faster adoption of new-generation solar cells raised global electrical & electronics demand by a substantial 20 percent. At the same time, other green-related applications, including power grid construction and automotive electrification, also contributed to the gains.”

According to a research paper by scientists at UNSW, solar manufacturers will likely require over 20 percent of the current annual silver supply by 2027.

By 2050, solar panel production will use approximately 85–98 percent of the current global silver reserves.

Demand for silver is also growing in the tech sector due to its conductivity and reflectivity.

Meanwhile, militaries around the world are using more silver. According to the Jerusalem Post, “Silver’s use in advanced defense systems, including weaponry, communication devices, and surveillance equipment, is crucial due to its superior electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion.”

Even as demand increases, silver mines are producing less silver and there are fewer discoveries of new deposits. According to the Jerusalem Post, “The exploration of new silver deposits is becoming increasingly difficult and costly.”

“As high-quality ores become scarcer, mining companies face challenges in maintaining production levels.”

SBC Global Research projects that “without substantial investment in new mining projects or recycling initiatives, the silver market may face a notable supply-demand imbalance by mid-decade, potentially driving up prices and intensifying competition for this essential metal.”

The Post highlighted three market implications of this silver supply crunch.

  • Price volatility
  • Investment opportunities
  • Supply chain strain

Silver isn’t currently priced for this dynamic.

In fact, silver is significantly undervalued compared to gold. The current gold-silver ratio is just over 88-1. That means it takes over 88 ounces of silver to buy an ounce of gold.

To put that into perspective, the average in the modern era has been between 40:1 and 60:1. Historically, the ratio has always returned to that mean. And when it does, it does it with a vengeance. The ratio fell to 30-1 in 2011 and below 20-1 in 1979.

Given the current silver price, the silver-gold ratio, and the supply and demand dynamics, silver appears to be on sale.

Soros Pulls the Strings: Report Exposes His Control Over Prosecutors

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) When leftist billionaire George Soros says jump, his leftist prosecutors ask how high.

This is the bold implication of a bombshell Media Research Center (MRC) report that exposed a disturbing web of Soros-funded prosecutors who dance to the tune of their billionaire benefactor.

The extent of Soros’s control over prosecutors, particularly post-election, had remained largely unreported. He spent a staggering $118 million to exert his influence, MRC reported.

Soros’s $118 million donation included $78 million to 20 leftist non-profits to “coordinate and control the prosecutors” and $40 million to elect them.

Tellingly, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James are among these prosecutors. The two Democrats orchestrated what has been widely labeled as a “lawfare” against President Donald Trump.

Also implicated in this network is St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell, a radical leftist who defeated Squad member Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., in a Democratic congressional primary.

The damning 33-page report, summarizing nearly 8,000 pages of documents, revealed that Soros-funded non-profits had held at least 51 meetings with these prosecutors.

Non-profits such as Fair and Just Prosecution (FJP), the Vera Institute, the Prosecutors Alliance of California, and the Anti-Defamation League were among those allegedly leading efforts to control the prosecutors.

Some of these meetings were deemed “mandatory,” despite the prosecutors being elected officials who should have been solely accountable to their constituents.

“These documents reveal how the Soros machine effectively employs an army of radicalized government lawyers to tear apart the justice system,” the MRC wrote.

“The result is a crumbling legal system where laws are openly defied by the very people who are paid to enforce them,” the watchdog added.

The report found that the “interconnected” Soros network provided “invaluable political consulting for Soros prosecutors,” including training on how to handle pushback against bail reform.

One of the Soros-affiliated non-profits, Fair and Just Prosecution, even provided “template” press releases for the prosecutors.

According to the MRC, Georgia’s Dekalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston posted a message that copied FJP’s template almost verbatim.

This is just one of many alarming instances that should send chills down Americans’ spines. Read the full report here.

Trump Takes Over X: Faces Cyberattack, Draws Millions of Listeners

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Now that’s a comeback.

President Donald Trump’s live conversation with Elon Musk captured the spotlight on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

The interview, conducted through X Spaces, lasted over an hour and drew over one million listers, with views surpassing surpassing 1 billion.

Trump, who had been permanently banned by the platform’s previous executives following the Jan. 6, 2021, protests, is back on X.

During the interview, Trump delved into topics ranging from foreign policy, the economy and illegal immigration to censorship, his assassination attempt and faith.

Trump specifically opened the discussion by recounting his experience surviving an assassination attempt.

“A lot of people don’t believe in God … Now, I’m more of a believer now,” Trump said, saying that he is alive because of a miracle.

Trump also described a bullet grazing his right ear and leaving his face covered in blood. The attempted assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 22, was killed at the scene.

The X space faced technical difficulties, expected given Trump’s popularity on social media platforms. Thousands of potential listeners were unable to access the conversation due to a cyber-attack.

Musk confirmed that X experienced a massive DDOS attack, which disrupted the live stream.

“There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on X. Working on shutting it down,” he wrote. A distributed denial-of-service attack makes a network unavailable to the public, several tech websites explain.

To address the attack, Musk proposed a solution: “Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.”

He also mentioned that the prior test involved up to 8 million listeners.

Once the interview was underway, Trump joked that illegal immigration had saved his life.

A second before Crooks began firing, Trump turned his head as he described a chart that compared border crossings during his presidency to those under President Joe Biden.

Trump also criticized Congo, a country in Central Africa, for allegedly facilitating illegal immigration into the U.S., remarks which have previously triggered the leftist media’s fact-checkers.

Of course, these are the same fact-checkers who despite reality, claimed Vice President Kamala Harris was never appointed “border czar.”

This is a developing story. Please check back later for more updates and specific quotes from Trump.

Editor’s Note: This article now includes the full video of Musk’s interview with Trump and the total viewers. It previously stated Twitter had “censured” Trump but has been updated to note that Twitter permanently banned Trump, the then-sitting president.

Buckle Up: FBI Leads Probe into Trump Campaign’s Hacking

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Will conservatives be at ease with the FBI at the helm of the investigation into the Iranian hacking of President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign documents? The bureau’s past controversies raise questions.

On Monday, the FBI confirmed its active probe into how Iranian hackers seized and leaked documents of Trump’s vetting process for his running mate, JD Vance, according to the New York Post.

The hacked files were reportedly sent to Politico by an individual identified as “Robert” beginning on July 22. Vetting research on Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., was also among the hacked documents.

The news of the investigation comes as Trump weighs filing a $100 million lawsuit against the DOJ for its controversial criminal investigation and subsequent FBI-led raid of Mar-a-Lago documents.

The probe led to a 40-count criminal indictment against Trump. These charges were subsequently tossed by District Attorney Aileen Cannon.

The FBI was also behind the infamous investigation into the Russian collusion hoax that marred years of the Trump administration with negative headlines and several leaks.

In Truth Social, Trump blamed the federal government for allowing the hacking to occur.

“They were only able to get publicly available information but, nevertheless, they shouldn’t be doing anything of this nature. Iran and others will stop at nothing, because our Government is Weak and Ineffective, but it won’t be for long,” Trump wrote on Saturday.

Echoing these remarks, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung accused Iran of attempting to interfere with the 2024 election.

“These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process,” Cheung told Politico.

Cheung said Iran targeted Trump because they know he “will stop their reign of terror just like he did in his first four years in the White House.”

Drunken Kamala Declares Long Dead 2Pac the ‘Best Rapper Alive’

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris shocked journalist and entrepreneur Angela Rye by claiming Tupac was the “best rapper alive,” in a podcast interview.

After Rye expressed incredulous surprise at Harris’s answer, followed by an acknowledgement that “Tupac lives on,” Harris awkwardly attempted to dodge the question.

“Who would I say? There’s so many, I mean, you know,” she said. “There are some that I wouldn’t mention right now because they should stay in their lane.”

It was unclear if Harris was making reference to the strong support that former President Donald Trump has received from the rap community, with well known stars like Lil Wayne and Kanye West among those offering their support.

When Rye asked who those are, Harris told her to “keep moving, Angela.”

“That was not supposed to be a stumper,” Rye exclaimed before moving on.

Several Twitter users suspected that Harris was drunk throughout the interview.

“Obviously drunk,” said Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams. “How is that not the biggest story? Is it just Biden 2.0?”

“She should have asked for her favorite box wine,” said conservative X user @FreeToSpeak71.

Questions about Harris’s potential substance abuse have come up throughout her tenure as vice president, presumably due to her constant, nonsensical babbling and uncontrolled cackling.

In 2022, for instance, Harris gave a speech while hosting Jamaica’s prime minister that led many to believe she may not only have a problem with alcohol abuse, but with marijuana as well.

“We also recognize, just as it has been in the United States, for Jamaica one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that has been economic in the way of its impact has been the pandemic,” Harris rambled hazily during the visit with Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

People also speculated that Harris was suggesting rapper Tupac Shakur—who reportedly died after sustaining gunshot wounds in a shooting in Las Vegas in 1996—might still be alive.

Many believe the rapper faked his death and currently resides in Cuba with his aunt, who fled the USA to avoid arrest from the FBI in 1979.

Minnesota Business Owner Slams ‘Evil’ Tim Walz for ‘Decimating’ Small Business During COVID

(Headline USA) A Minnesota business owner slammed Gov. Tim Walz for “decimating” her bar and several other local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lisa Zarza, 52, operated Alibi Drinkery, as well as Froggy Bottoms River Pub and Lily PADio, when Walz issued stringent shelter-in-place orders for all residents.

At first, Zarza “did everything I was supposed to do,” she said: “I wore my mask. I social distanced. I stayed at home.”

But months went by, and even as Walz gradually loosened restrictions, he refused to let bars and restaurants reopen for in-person dining until May 2021.

Zarza and several other business owners decided to reopen anyway in October 2020.

“I stood up because he stripped us of our rights,” she told the New York Post.

“It was a discrimination against certain groups of people and we were one of them,” she added. “He didn’t have a right to do what he did to us.

She noted a clear double-standard applied when it came to small businesses versus large corporations, even though the risk was the same.

“Everything else, literally Target, Walmart, Home Depot—everyone was open 100%,” Zarza said. “The same exact order that shut us down, opened them all up.”

But Walz’s administration hit back at the restaurant owners, threatening them with crippling fines and revoking their liquor licenses.

“I was threatened with arrests, I was threatened with fines,” Zarza said.

“At the end of the entire lawsuit, my lawsuit including Attorney General fees was over $300,000,” she added. “I filed personal bankruptcy.”

When she heard Vice President Kamala Harris had selected Walz to be her running mate, “I almost dropped to my knees and I was sick,” Zarza said.

“I was literally sick to my stomach,” she continued. “Everything that he did to our state came back. I rode an hour to work and cried the whole way.”

The pub owner argued Harris “made a big mistake” picking Walz as her vice president.

“She thought she was getting some Podunk freaking farmer. She didn’t,” Zarza said. “I think he’s an evil man who overstepped his role as the governor. He took small businesses and ripped them up. He destroyed us.”

Zarza added, “We don’t want him running our country. Good god.”

Pelosi Suggests Biden Didn’t Write Letter Signaling His Intention to Stay in the Race

(Headline USA) Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., claimed over the weekend that she did not believe President Joe Biden wrote the letter he sent to congressional Democrats last month announcing his intention to stay in the 2024 race.

Pelosi was asked by the New York Times about Biden’s eventual decision to drop his reelection bid and the role she played in forcing him out. As she’s done for the past few weeks, Pelosi insisted that Biden’s decision was his own.

However, a letter Biden sent to congressional Democrats just two weeks before he announced an end to his reelection bid made it clear that Biden did not want to leave the race.

“I feel a deep obligation to the faith and the trust the voters of the Democratic Party have placed in me to run this year,” he wrote.

“It was their decision to make. Not the press, not the pundits, not the big donors, not any selected group of individuals, no matter how well intentioned,” he added. “The voters—and the voters alone—decide the nominee of the Democratic Party.”

But Pelosi said she “didn’t accept the letter as anything but a letter,” adding, “it didn’t sound like Joe Biden to me. It really didn’t.”

Biden is rumored to be “furious” with Pelosi over her role in the pressure campaign against him. He even name-dropped her during an interview with CBS News on Sunday about his exit from the race.

“A number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was going to hurt them in the races,” Biden said. “And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic — you’d be interviewing me about why did Nancy Pelosi say [something] … and I thought it’d be a real distraction.”

Trump to Sue DOJ for $100M over ‘Political Persecution’

(Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump plans to sue the Justice Department for $100 million over its 2022 raid on his Mar-a-Lago property, arguing the unprecedented action was done with “clear intent to engage in political persecution.”

Trump’s lawyers confirmed the plan this week.

“What President Trump is doing here is not just standing up for himself—he is standing up for all Americans who believe in the rule of law and believe that you should hold the government accountable when it wrongs you,” Trump attorney Daniel Epstein said in a statement.

In a court filing, Trump’s lawyers argued the Justice Department’s “tortious acts against the president are rooted in intrusion upon seclusion, malicious prosecution, and abuse of process resulting from the August 8, 2022 raid of his and his family’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach Florida.”

His lawyers further argued the DOJ’s raid was conducted in a manner “inconsistent with protocols requiring the consent of an investigative target, disclosure to that individual’s attorneys, and the use of the local U.S. Attorney’s Office.”

Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was raided in connection with the DOJ’s investigation into the former president’s alleged mishandling of classified documents. The investigation led to multiple charges against Trump by special counsel Jack Smith.

However, the case was thrown out by U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon last month after she found Smith had been illegally appointed to the role.

The DOJ’s handling of this case, including its raid on Mar-a-Lago and its illegal appointment of Smith, showed a “clear intent to engage in political persecution” by those involved, argued Trump’s attorneys.

The DOJ’s “malicious prosecution and abuse of process cause President Trump to incur, upon information and belief, $15 million in actual harm due to his legal costs” in defending himself in Smith’s case, they added. “For these harms to President Trump, the respondents must pay punitive damages of $100 million,” Trump’s team wrote.
