REPORT: Panhandling Wikipedia Pays Woke Activists Big Bucks to Inject Bias into Articles

(Matt Lamb, Headline USA) Hundreds of thousands of dollars have gone to left-wing groups to edit Wikipedia entries, via the website’s parent organization.

The Daily Caller recently analyzed the Wikimedia Foundation’s tax filings for the 2022-23 fiscal year.

Criticizing Wikipedia’s constant pleas for money, the Daily Caller reported that “Wikimedia Foundation had enough surplus funds between July 2022 and June 2023 to disburse grants to nonprofits dedicated to introducing feminist and racial justice perspectives to Wiki articles.”

A group called Art + Feminism “received approximately $382,000 from the Wikimedia Foundation,” the Daily Caller reported.

The group specifically exists to edit Wikipedia articles. It hosts annual “edit-a-thons around the world” to edit articles to promote pro-LGBT and pro-abortion viewpoints, according to its website.

One session in 2023 was “dedicated to improving the article for ‘Abortion in Maryland’ while also fundraising for the Baltimore Abortion Fund,” according to a summary the group posted on Wikipedia.

Another session that year “translated a Wikipedia and LGBTQ+ guide that invites reflection on the writing of biographies of trans, non-binary and other members of the LGBTQIA+ community and what it means to write about their lives on Wikipedia,” according to the summary page.

A group called Whose Knowledge received “roughly $200,000,” according to the Daily Caller.

Whose Knowledge says it has “brought together” a “collective of partners and friends” for several years now “to make images of womxn, especially black, brown, indigenous, and trans, and non-binary individuals, available on Wikipedia and the broader internet.”

The bias of Wikipedia has been well-documented, as noted by the Daily Caller.

A study of more than 1,500 political entries on Wikipedia found “right-of-center” individuals had higher “negative sentiment” than “left-of-center” individuals, according to researcher David Rozado.

For example, entries relating to Republican Presidents Donald Trump and George Bush have more negative sentiment, while those concerning Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter have more positive sentiment.

The co-founder of Wikipedia, Larry Sanger, has previously criticized the leftist bias of the site, calling it “propaganda.”

The website also locked editing on the term “recession” in 2022, around the same time the Biden administration attempted to change the longstanding definition.

CNN Apologizes for Suggesting Tlaib Is Anti-Semitic—but Snubs Cotton

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) CNN anchor Dana Bash issued a clarification on Tuesday after accusing Rep. Rashida Tlaib of spreading anti-Semitism and Sen. Tom Cotton of condoning it. 

On Monday’s edition of Inside Politics, Bash reported that Tlaib had claimed in remarks to the Detroit Metro Times that Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel might be biased against Palestinians because she is Jewish.

These remarks were widely interpreted as anti-Semitic, Bash correctly noted. However, Bash undermined her reporting the following day, clarifying that Tlaib “did not reference Nessel’s Jewish identity.”

Contrary to Bash’s clarification, Nessel affirmed on X that Tlaib’s comments were “anti-Semitic and wrong.”

Bash’s correction did not address the line of attacks against Cotton, who on Sunday defended President Donald Trump’s assertions that Jewish Americans would bear some blame if Republicans do not win the White House in 2024.  

Bash cited this line of defense to claim that anti-Semitism is present in the Republican Party. “A sad reality – antisemitism is everywhere and it comes from both ends of the political spectrum,” Bash wrote on X. 

However, Cotton did not condemn Trump’s remarks because there were no anti-Semitic tropes in it, according to Republicans. 

Cotton had specifically appeared on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday where he countered anchor Jake Tapper’s line of questioning that suggested Trump was spreading anti-Semitic remarks. 

“I think the only reason the Democrats latched onto it this week is that they see the polling that reflects Donald Trump winning record high amounts of Jewish voters for Republicans,” Cotton said. 

He also pointed out that Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to condemn anti-Semitism. When Tapper noted that Harris is married to a Jewish man, Cotton quickly replied that Trump has Jewish grandchildren.

More Americans Think College Degree Is Useless

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) The Left destroyed academia. Now, many Americans think that degrees from colleges and universities are useless and that people should pursue their education elsewhere. 

Big League Politics reported that, according to the results of a recent Rasmussen poll, approximately 20% of American voters think that the value of college education has increased.

The poll discovered that 68% of American adults still think that a college degree is at least somewhat important, which includes 25% who believe it’s very important. However, it was also noted that 25% think that a college degree is not important, with 6% believing it doesn’t matter at all.

While higher education becomes more expensive every year, its quality doesn’t increase with the price tag, which is reflected in the poll results. Forty-five percent of American voters stated that the quality of a college education has reduced in recent years, with only 21% saying that it increased and 25% saying that the value of a college education has stayed the same.

When examining Americans’ perspectives of the issue based on their voting patterns, 38% of Democrat voters, 50% of Republican voters and 46% of independent voters believe the value of an education in a typical American college or university has decreased in the last few years.

Conservatives on Twitter also wrote that college education is a scam that either doesn’t benefit a person or turns them into a far-left ideologue.

“95% of what you learn in university is useless information (or outright blank slate theory egalitarianism propaganda), with no real-world application. Unfortunately, you have to get a university degree to be ‘qualified’ for virtually every high-paying job,” @CorporateMacBot wrote.

Others noted that since college degrees are overpriced, do not guarantee a job and require you to learn stuff you don’t need in real life, it’s “only a matter of time before employers do not require them.”

Some other people on Twitter even went as far as to say that “being educated” is a scam.

“Being ‘educated’ is one of the biggest scams ever. You’re either smart or you’re not, and no amount of learning will change that. You need to learn skills, and over time, you’ll refine those skills. But anything more than a high-school level ‘formal’ education is wholly unnecessary,” @callicrates_ wrote.

The recent news came after Harris decided not to attend the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner on Oct. 17, 2024.

Even former Bill Clinton strategist and pollster Mark Penn acknowledged that Harris’s constant vilification of Trump automatically prevents her from going to the Catholic charity event and communicating with Trump like he is a regular human being instead of a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler.

Another reason why Harris decided not to attend the event was because she didn’t want Trump or anybody else to make fun of her so that the media-created identity of a perfect and independent non-white woman would not be ruined.

“It’s sad, but not surprising, that Kamala has decided not to attend. I don’t know what she has against our Catholic friends, but it must be a lot, because she certainly hasn’t been very nice to them; in fact, Catholics are literally being persecuted by this Administration. Any Catholic that votes for Comrade Kamala Harris should have their head examined,” Trump wrote.

Even though it looks like the reason why Harris decided not to attend the dinner was not because of her hatred of Catholics, as Trump stated, the fact that she despises the Catholic faith and Christianity, generally speaking, is undeniable.

According to the Catholic News Registry and the Catholic Vote, Harris previously pushed her pro-abortion ideology, criticized judicial nominees for being members of a Catholic fraternal service organization, Knights of Columbus, approved the raiding of pro-lifers’ homes, made life harder for pro-life organizations, opposed religious liberty and embraced “gender” ideology.

Catholics, other Christians, conservatives and Republicans criticized Harris for her hatred.

“Kamala Harris represents the most vile anti-Catholic threat of any leading candidate for president in American history. She is a candidate of the hard left. And her record and her words demonstrate a gross anti-Catholic bias and bigotry,” CatholicVote president Brian Burch told Fox News.

Trump also criticized Harris for going after men who were members of the Knights of Columbus.

“Kamala Harris has always been an anti-Catholic bigot… There’s no way a Catholic could ever vote for her,” senior editor of Human Events Jack Posobeic wrote.

Other Catholics, like Cardinal Dolan, agreed, adding that the last person who skipped the Al Smith dinner was Walter Mondale, another Democrat, who lost 49 out of 50 states during the 1984 presidential election.

The New York Times’s best-selling author Raymond Arroyo also said that Harris’s anti-Catholic rhetoric would be called out during the dinner, which she doesn’t want Catholics in the swing states to hear.

The Daily Wire recently reported that Soros used one of his networks of leftist organizations to naturalize immigrants in America so that they would be able to vote for Kamala Harris in swing states and, therefore, bring victory to her and defeat to the entire country.

According to the news source, the National Partnership for New Americans was the primary company in that scheme.

“Our network has supported the naturalization of over 250,000 U.S. Citizens and has been a key driver of advocacy to make naturalization more affordable and accessible,” the National Partnership for New Americans wrote.

The New York Post reported that Soros also used the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to approve his purchase of over 200 radio stations nationwide.

This process is illegal since it bypasses a standard review process. Soros thought he needed to speed up the process because the 2024 election is in just over a month.

“Coincidentally,” on Sept. 20, 2024, the FCC delayed a buildout that would bring internet to rural communities so that they would rely on the radio stations to know about what was going on in the country—the same radio stations that are currently owned by Soros and spread leftist propaganda.

“I have never heard of the FCC granting relief like this with no process, no public input, and no heads up,” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr told the Post. “The Democrats in FCC leadership cut a secret, backroom deal—one that kept the Republican FCC Commissioners and perhaps others completely in the dark—and then hustled it out the door on a Friday afternoon.”

Conservatives on Twitter quickly responded to the recent news on social media platforms.

“The stations reach 165M Americans. This has never been done before,” @EndWokeness wrote.

Republican commentators and twins also suggested that someone either “got paid off or blackmailed.”

Others noted that Soros is an international terrorist who should not be allowed to spend money in the United States because he wants to destroy this country.

Biden Claims to Think about 13 Troops Killed in Kabul ‘Every Day’

(Headline USA) President Joe Biden claimed this week that he thinks about the 13 U.S. service members killed during his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan “every day,” even though he still has not called those soldiers’ families.

“Thirteen brave Americans lost their lives, along with hundreds of Afghans, in a suicide bomb,” Biden said during his address to the United Nations this week. “I think [of] those lost lives—I think of them every day.”

Biden went on to defend the withdrawal, calling it “a hard decision, but the right decision.”

The Gold Star families who lost their loved ones during the withdrawal dismissed Biden’s feigned concern.

“He thinks of them only because they are the casualties of his reckless decisions and policies,” Gold Star dad Steve Nikoui, who lost his son Kareem, a Marine Corps lance corporal, told the New York Post.

“When he says he thinks of them everyday, what he really means is he despises them because they, in his eyes, have tarnished his legacy,” Nikoui added.

Gold Star father Darin Hoover, who lost his son, Marine Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover, blasted Biden’s speech as dishonest pandering.

“His saying that he thinks of our kids every day is a lie. He’s never even said their names because he doesn’t know them,” Hoover said.

“It was HIS decision to pull out from Afghanistan and do it in the manner that he did,” Hoover added. “He has blood on his hands and we WILL NOT FORGET, EVER.”

Gold Star father Herman Lopez, who lost his son, Marine Cpl. Hunter Lopez, said he’s at least thankful Biden is publicly acknowledging his son and the other soldiers who lost their lives.

“I am glad that he finally mentioned them in a speech. But he’s doing it on his way out,” Lopez pointed out. “It’s a little too late.”

The Gold Star families also have said Biden still has not reached out to them, even three years after the chaotic exit from the region.

Kamala Confirms She Still Wants to Get Rid of Senate Filibuster

(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris confirmed this week that she still supports ending the Senate filibuster in order for Democrats to pass radical legislation, the Huffington Post reported.

Harris first called for ending the filibuster, a Senate rule that allows a minority to block legislation pending a vote of 60 senators or more, back in 2019 when she was running for the Democratic presidential nomination. She has continued to support the move as vice president, saying in 2022 that the filibuster is an “archaic Senate rule” standing in the way of progress.

“I cannot wait to cast the deciding vote to break the filibuster on voting rights and reproductive rights,” Harris said at the time. “I cannot wait!”

When asked whether she’s flip-flopped on this issue along with many of her past policies, Harris made clear her position hasn’t changed.

“I think we should eliminate the filibuster for [Roe v. Wade],” Harris told Wisconsin Public Radio on Tuesday. “And get us to the point where 51 votes would be what we need to actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom and for the ability of every person and every woman to make decisions about their own body and not have their government tell them what to do.”

In response, two of the chamber’s more moderate senators blasted Harris.

“To state the supremely obvious, eliminating the filibuster to codify Roe v Wade also enables a future Congress to ban all abortion nationwide,” said Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., who left the Democratic Party in 2022, partially after having faced harsh criticism from an earlier effort by Democrats to abolish the traditional check against the majority.

“What an absolutely terrible, shortsighted idea,” she added.

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., agreed, arguing Harris’s unwillingness to protect the filibuster as the “Holy Grail of democracy” lost her his endorsement.

“Shame on her. She knows the filibuster is the Holy Grail of democracy,” Manchin said, according to CNN.

“It’s the only thing that keeps us talking and working together,” he continued. “If she gets rid of that, then this would be the House on steroids.”

Republicans are currently projected to reclaim the Senate, but with a narrow margin, meaning it may be the presidential election that determines control, as it was at the start of the Biden administration.

If former President Donald Trump were to win, putting Vice President JD Vance in charge of the Senate, there is a safe bet that a Harris flip-flop on the filibuster issue would not be far behind.

House Republicans Blast Tim Walz’s Admin. for Lack of Answers on Noncitizens Voting

(Headline USA) House Republicans blasted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s administration this week for refusing to say whether it is taking action to remove noncitizens from the state’s voter rolls.

The Republican National Committee and Minnesota GOP first raised the issue in August after a noncitizen came forward to report having received a primary ballot without having registered to vote. The error was the result of Minnesota law that automatically registers residents with state drivers licenses. 

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon admitted afterward that the state Department of Public Safety’s Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) identified “a small number of applicant files as needing additional confirmation of voter registration information, including address, name, and citizenship.” 

Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson also acknowledged that at least 1,000 individuals “may have been improperly registered to vote under the automatic voter registration (‘AVR’) process,” according to House Republicans. 

Yet neither Simon nor Jacobson, nor anyone else in Walz’s administration, have announced whether they plan to remove these potential noncitizens from Minnesota’s voter rolls, Republicans alleged.

“It is imperative that Minnesota voters trust in the state’s election system, which includes knowing the voter rolls only consist of legally registered voters,” Minnesota Reps. Tom Emmer, Brad Finstad, Michelle Fischbach and Pete Stauber wrote in a letter to Walz.

The lawmakers asked Walz’s administration to provide “the exact number of individuals who were inactivated,” and to determine “how many of the inactivated individuals have voted in a past election” or were sent ballots in a past election.

“Would eliminating any of the inactivated individuals’ votes have changed the outcome of any past elections?” the Republicans asked.

In a Sept. 12 press release, Jacobson insisted that “DVS is making sure workers who classify documents are getting increased training, and that automatic voter registration has been paused in certain situations.”

Man Gunned Down Over This Bad Bunny Hit Song in Florida Bar

(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A man fatally shot another as the result of a dispute over Mexican music at a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Monday morning, several outlets reported.

The incident occurred at Antojitos Mexicanos before 1:30 a.m. after an unidentified man criticized the victim—identified as Socorro Camacho—over what the first man claimed was not authentic Mexican music. 

Several bullets were shot between the two men, both of whom were allegedly Mexican, according to Mauro Bonilla, a customer who was not inside the restaurant but spoke with a witness. 

“Two guys got into an argument because one of them played a song on the jukebox and the other guy was kind of pissed off and insulted the guy,” Bonilla said in a Spanish interview with Univision Miami. 

Camacho, a former roofing contractor, allegedly brandished a gun in response to the criticism of his choice of song. 

Bonilla told Univision that he was unaware of how the two men succeeded in entering the restaurant with two guns. 

Julian Camacho, a brother of the victim, said they noticed something was wrong when the family members could not get ahold of their brother. 

Julian visited the restaurant to claim his brother’s belongings, including his white van, Univision reported.

The van featured a logo of the roofing company Paul Bange Roofing, which Headline USA confirmed was the company he worked for. 

Headline USA reached out to Antojitos Mexicanos on Tuesday evening for comments about the incident.

A front desk receptionist stated in Spanish that a manager was not available for an interview. When asked whether the restaurant knew if the suspect had been arrested, the restaurant worker answered, “No.”

A Fort Lauderdale government spokesperson referred questions to the police department, which did not immediately respond to Headline USA’s calls.

Critics on social media suggested that the dispute may have centered around Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican rapper known for his popular song with the Mexican band Grupo Frontera.

The song, UN X100TO, features a blend of Norteña tones and reggaeton rhythms.

John Leguizamo Claims Hispanics Who Support Trump Are Homophobic

(Chris Cella Jr., Headline USA) Actor John Leguizamo, known for his role as Luigi in the 1993 film Super Mario Bros., attacked Latino supporters of Donald Trump, labeling them as “anti-abortion and homophobic.”

In an interview with TMZ, he emphasized that Vice President Kamala Harris needed to actively engage with Latino communities to earn their votes, acknowledging her difficulties in securing this demographic’s support.

“You gotta come into our communities. You gotta have people that look like us,” Leguizamo said, underscoring the importance of representation. He also suggested that Latino celebrities could be crucial in helping Harris connect with Latino voters.

When asked by TMZ’s Harvey Levin about why some Latinos were drawn to Trump and had rejected Harris, Leguizamo responded, “Religious Latinos are homophobic and anti-abortion,” continuing his trend of making offensive statements about Latino Republicans.

In the past, he compared Latino Trump supporters to “roaches supporting Raid,” a comment that many found condescending and offensive.

Leguizamo’s disdain for Trump has been evident in his social media activity, as well.

Following an assassination attempt on Trump, he tweeted, “Not even a scratch! But milk it for all you can!”

He also mocked Trump for appearing with a bandage at the Republican National Convention, questioning the competence of the doctor who treated him.

While Leguizamo’s comments about religious Latinos may seem dismissive, he does highlight a significant issue: many Latinos prioritize housing and jobs. And while his assertion that Latinos are not a monolith is true, Leguizamo’s sweeping generalizations about their perspectives manifests his own insincerity.

In 2023, Leguizamo made headlines when he boycotted the animated Super Mario Bros. Movie for its lack of Latino representation.

He expressed frustration, stating, “I was groundbreaking [as Luigi], and then they stopped the groundbreaking. They messed up the inclusion.” It should be noted that the original Super Mario Bros. film (costaring the British Bob Hoskins), is generally considered a failure, and that the characters are Italian, not Latino.

Leguizamo might also be met with some criticism from the transgender community for having appropriated the starring role of Chi-Chi from an actual drag queen in his 1995 film To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar.
